  1. One of this year's greatest hits, 'Gully Boy' was more than just an entertainment flick. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as the lead pair, the film touched a million hearts through its narration of the journey and struggles of street rappers in Mumbai. But, if there was another thing that caught people's attention in the film, it was Ranveer's sensational performance as a rapper. The track 'Apna Time Aayega' from the film became an anthem of sorts, that not only united underground rappers from across the country, but even those who enjoy and appreciate the art. © Excel Entertainment Given the popularity and the reach of the song, multiple organisations have given the song their own spin in order to send out a number of messages to the public. Most recently, a Delhi traffic cop adapted the famous rap to deliver a message about respecting traffic rules. What's insanely awesome is the way the cop has scripted the lyrics and delivered the rap at a single go with so much finesse, and we can't help but admire this talented man! What a creative way of sending the message across, when you can't help but hear it all out.

  3. Earlier this year, Roger Federer made the announcement that he does not require the length of rest that he usually takes around this time and that he will be playing the clay season of 2019. This meant that after a four-year absence, he was set to finally compete in Roland Garros. Federer began his clay season with strong tournaments in Madrid and Rome getting sufficient match practice for the Roland Garros. He entered the tournament fresh and looking like his usual glorious self. He breezed through his initial rounds, oozing class and setting the clock back to a Roger Federer that was calm, composed and lethal. He did not drop a single set until he met his fellow countryman Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarter final which he won 3-1. Twitter/@rolandgarros Then came the overwhelming challenge of world no. 2 and tournament favourite Rafael Nadal, who is unarguably the greatest player on the surface and whose rivalry with Federer is the stuff of legend. The build-up to the match was of epic proportions, but unfortunately, it failed to live up to its billing. This was not necessarily due to a dip in Federer's form, who by no means played a poor match, but due to the man on the other side of the net. Federer may have played a good match, but Rafa, on this surface, plays an entirely different sport. One of the widely accepted truths of the world of sport is that one of the hardest tasks is beating Rafael Nadal at Roland Garros, and this rang true throughout the entire match as the 11-time champion made Federer struggle and adapt throughout the game. If Nadal required any help at all, the weather played spoilsport for Federer, as the overwhelming wind currents had a huge effect on service and rallies, complimenting Rafa's style of grind, spin and margins. Federer had to both figuratively and literally, weather the storm. Federer, known for his elegance and class and known to play tennis without a hair out of place, was made to grind, grunt and groan throughout the first two sets which ended 6-3 and 6-4 in Rafa's favour respectively. Reuters Till this point, the match remained a contest. With several points remaining in the balance, Nadal just seemed to have the edge over his long-time rival. But beyond this, the match carried out as a mere formality and Nadal wrapped up the third set 6-2 to book a place in the final. Federer's tournament up to this point had been marvellous, and, on the day, he simply met a better opponent, more suited to the surface. This cannot be considered a lamentable tournament or performance by Federer as he defied expectations by simply setting up this highly-anticipated semi-final, after a four-year absence from this event and surface. After the match the Swiss ace admitted in his press conference that he defied expectations by reaching this stage, before heaping praise on the 'King of Clay'. “There's nobody who play(s) remotely close to him. It's just amazing how he plays from deep and bounces back and forth from the baseline,” he said. Nadal too, was all praise for his opponent. “It's incredible to play Roger here. Congratulations to Roger. He's probably the best player in history for me,” the Spaniard claimed. Twitter/@rolandgarros Nadal will now go on to play the winner of the semi-final which will be continued between Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem today for a whooping 12th title in Paris. The match between Djokovic and Thiem took the brunt of the bad weather conditions and was abandoned at one set a piece, with Thiem having achieved a break, early in the third. As for Federer, fans are left to ponder whether they will ever see him play on clay again. But if this is goodbye, no matter how unfortunate, by no means should Federer bid farewell without his head held high. Federer in Roland Garros 2019, showed why he is widely considered, by fans, peers and former pros alike, as the greatest of all-time.
  4. If you go to a gym, there is a pretty good chance that there is a bodybuilder 'Guruji' trainer you always see. He is hailed by everyone in the gym as the muscle building Guru and every kid in the gym would be asking him hundreds of questions to look buff like him. If you approach the Guruji, he will first ask you to become his personal training client. Until you do that, all the muscle building secrets are hidden. Once you decide to take the plunge, he makes you do questionable-looking workouts and puts you on the classic one-body-part-a-day routine. Then, you will be told to follow a diet with boiled chicken, fish, veggies, egg whites, oats, sweet potato etc. He will make you grind and kill your tastebuds a slow painful death for months. Then the secret formula of building muscle will come into the picture. He will give you a pack of pills (most of the times the label will be stripped off) called Dianabol. © Twitter The Guruji will say that these are simply vitamin pills that every guy in the gym uses to build muscle. It is very normal and very safe to consume it. Just have a pill every 2-3 hours in a day and consume 3 to 5 pills, he'll say to you convincingly. As you have already been doing whatever your guruji has been asking you to do for a few months and you blindly trust him, you hop on to the plan. Within a couple of weeks you see the following benefits: 1. Increased strength 2. Increased muscularity 3. Better performance at the gym 4. Some fat loss 5. Better recovery 6. Less fatigue Your happiness is unbound and you feel like an alpha in the gym as you get stronger, look bigger and the magic vitamin given to you by your Guruji starts to show wonders. This goes on for a few weeks, then you see something unusual happening to you. You may experience some of these symptoms: 1. Some hair loss happening 2. You start looking fluffy due to water retention 3. Boils appearing on your back 4. Some acne on your face 5. Your chest is looking fatty You get worried and rush to your Guruji and he tells you to stop using the pills for some time and assures you that you'll be back to normal. You do that and all of a sudden, these strength and muscle gains start to disappear and you are further stressed or depressed that all your work is going down the drain. You want to start popping the magic vitamin all over again but do not want the side effects. Well, now let's get to the point. If you or any of your friend has been given this magic vitamin pill that is small and blue and probably in the shape of a heart, it is not a freaking vitamin. © Getty Images This pill is an anabolic steroid as is illegal to use and banned for sales in most countries across the world. Steroids have a lot of side effects internally like liver damage, kidney damage, heart health, etc. This blue pill can potentially kill your insides and have you on corrective treatments or medication for a lifetime due to your sheer short-term stupidity. If someone promises you a quick magic pill for muscle gain and losing fat, it is most probably a terrible idea and unsafe. Bottom line: Stop trusting your gym Gurujis blindly. 5. OnePlus flagship phone, the OnePlus 6T, is a powerful smartphone. It's one of the most affordable flagship phones you can buy right now, and it can handle almost everything you throw at it. If you don't believe us, then wait till you see what a Dutch hacker name Bas Timmer did. Timmer, who's recently ported Windows on Arm (WoA) on the OnePlus 6T, posted a video on Twitter showing the PC version of 'Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2' running on the OnePlus 6T. Yes, you heard it right. The video shows a OnePlus 6T smartphone running the full Windows version of the game. The hacker made it a point to clarify that he used Windows on Arm to make it happen. Here, see the video for yourself - Watch out for the most 'why would you even think of doing this' crossover gameplay video combining WoA with a modification for a formerly-popular FPS series, running live in XTA + Adreno drivers. pic.twitter.com/zBR6FcqPQl — NTAuthority (@NTAuthority) April 8, 2019 As you can see, the video shows Timmer starting the game and entering the popular Rust level. Of course, the game isn't running as smooth as it would on a proper gaming rig, but it seems to be holding up pretty darn good. In fact, the game appears to be running at over 30 FPS, although he didn't really show a proper session of gameplay. © Call Of Duty That being said, the fact that he was able to get the game even running is incredibly cool. Remember, 'Modern Warfare 2' is quite a demanding title, and being able to run on OnePlus 6T shows exactly how powerful the phone really is. Timmer will apparently be posting more info about this, and we can't wait to learn how he did it, and play it ourselves.
  6. If you love to run on the streets or on the road and can do that only in the evenings due to our shitty weather or hectic work schedules, there's a sneaker especially for you. Often when running in the night, you're concerned about safety or enough lighting to get noticed by oncoming traffic. The answer to these concerns came to us way back in the 1980s and Adidas is bringing back the retro-styled sneaker to India. © Adidas The sneakers are ideal for runners who prefer a soft mesh knot and a lightweight ripstop that is essential in a running sneaker. These sneakers are specifically designed for night running as it has a hi0vis reflective body much you get to see on safety jackets on construction workers. It automatically catches the light from oncoming traffic's headlights or streetlights keeping the runner safe from accidents. You can find this reflective detailing on the laces, stripes, and other key strategic points. When it comes to the kicks, it's a hybrid of modern sneaker design with 80s aesthetics that make the sneakers perfect for running. It has a cushioned sole that keeps the overall experience comfortable and follows a chassis similar to the Ultra Boosts. It's got the right amount of width and roundness that may have been a borrowed design from Yeezys. © Adidas When it comes to breathability, the mesh and nylon ripstop makes it one of the more ultra lightweight sneakers you can find out there. The Adidas Nite Jogger will available to buy for Indian customers from 11th April 2019 with a price tag of Rs 12,999. These kicks will be available across all Adidas Original retail stores and the official website.
  7. PUBG Mobile is back in the news again. No one got arrested this time, but sadly two people lost their lives as they were run over by a train while playing the game near the railway tracks. Officials said that the incident happened at Khatkali Bypass in Hingoli, which is over 570 kilometres from Mumbai. The two men, Nagesh Gore and Swapnil Annapurne, were playing PUBG near the railway tracks. They got run over by the Hyderabad-Ajmer train. © PUBG Mobile The bodies of the two men were found late at night by the locals living in the vicinity. The officials have noted that an accidental death report has been registered at Hingoli police station. Also, this isn't the first negative report about PUBG Mobile this month. The game has been hitting the headlines since the beginning of the year for all the wrong reasons. Recently, the Rajkot police even arrested 10 people who were playing the game in public after the ban.
  8. Microsoft showed off its Project xCloud and gave a first look of the service working in action. The company has been developing a cloud-based game streaming platform for a while, which is expected to be the future of gaming. Microsoft is already planning to stream games that are made for the Xbox One and is also planning to launch a disc-less console soon. © YouTube As part of the demo, we can clearly see Forza Horizon 4 running in a data centre and being streamed to an Android smartphone. The game is being controlled by an Xbox One controller via Bluetooth. “Anywhere we have a good network connection, we'll be able to participate in Project xCloud,” Microsoft head of gaming cloud Kareem Choudhry said in the video Choudary also went on to explain that Project xCloud will work similar to music or video streaming services i.e you can log in from any device i.e. a phone or even a laptop and find the library similar to music libraries. Basically, this service will work on any device that has a screen and play demanding games on the fly. © Microsoft The service will also give you access to your cloud saves, friend lists and everything that users are already familiar with on the Xbox One. However, Choudry went on to say that “It's not a replacement for consoles, we're not getting out of the console business,” © Microsoft Game streaming services are being touted as the future of gaming thanks to new technologies like 5G and cloud computing. Google is also launching its own game streaming service next week at GDC 2019. Microsoft already offers a subscription service in the form of Xbox Game Pass where users can play Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for Rs 699 per month.
  9. Ahead of the 2018-19 I-League season, the 11 participating teams surely fancied their chances of winning the title this year. But, while for some it seemed like wishful thinking, others - the big dogs of the league - seemed realistic in their title claims. The likes of Churchill Brothers who won the title on two occasions were amongst the top contenders. And, so were defending champions Minerva Punjab whose fairytale run last season had made them a team to watch out for. So, when Chennai City's Spanish forward Pedro Manzi, ahead of the 2018-19 season, claimed that his side will go on to win the I-League title, many lauded his confidence, while quietly rejecting his bold claim. And, they weren't wrong either. It's good to be optimistic at the start of a season, but going by Chennai's fortunes in the league, Manzi's prediction seemed a bit far-fetched. Chennai had barely avoided the drop on the last day of the 2017-18 season after winning just four games in total. That season also saw Chennai scoring a mere 15 goals in 18 games that saw them finishing at a lowly eighth spot. If that wasn't enough, the fact that Chennai had only won eight games in the history of their participation in the I-League, further made everyone question Manzi's title claims. But, what eventually unfolded in the recently-concluded season was no less than a fairytale for Chennai and their fans. When we made the dressing room, a mess ððð¦ ! pic.twitter.com/ujIxSGkUFv — Chennai City FC (@ChennaiCityFC) March 9, 2019 Chennai found themselves in trouble even before kicking the ball this season. They lost Michael Soosairaj - their star performer last season - to the riches of Indian Super League (IPL) as he joined Jamshedpur FC for Rs 25 lakh. But, that didn't stop Chennai from dreaming on. They roped in Singaporean football coach, Akbar Nawas, who continued the club's tradition of signing cheaper, but effective, players to bolster the squad for the season. Manzi was roped in from a fourth-division side in Spain, Sandro Rodriguez came from the third division in the Canary Islands and Nelson Gordillo was bought from third-tier Cornella from Catalonia - a Spanish trio that was going to changing the fortunes for Chennai. © Twitter/@ChennaiCityFC As Nawas built his team around the Spanish troika, his aspirations, unlike Manzi, were more realistic and grounded. The Chennai manager was hoping to make it to the "mid table" in the I-League - something they hadn't done in the past. The Coimbatore-based club began the season with an emphatic 4-1 triumph over Indian Arrows which was followed by four wins in five games. Their first loss came against another underdog side Real Kashmir - a team they failed to beat all season. But, that didn't concern them as their high pressing, possession-dominant style of play allowed them to go to the top of the league by December. And, it was the Spanish signings that were carrying Chennai forward. With 21 Goalsâ½, @PeterManzi19 is the Joint Top scorer of @ILeagueOfficial 2018-19 ð#Champions #NammaTamizhagam #WeareCCFC #Lions pic.twitter.com/yVnusHwGIt — Chennai City FC (@ChennaiCityFC) March 11, 2019 An exceptional centre-forward, Manzi bamboozled opposition defenders with his pace and skills. For someone who managed to score goals at will, Manzi also held the ball pretty well and engaged defenders to create spaces for his teammates. His long-rage strike against Aizawl secured vital points for his side. And, another hat-trick against Gokulam saved Chennai the blushes in a closely-contested clash. If Manzi, who began the season with a brilliant hat-trick against the Arrows, was raking in one goal after another, the midfield duo of Rodriguez and Gordillo provided Chennai the vision to break through the tightest of defence. The two Spanish midfielders showcased the ability to play in a variety of positions as they were often seen shuffling flanks to keep the opposition guessing. Looks who's flying ð @roh00#Champions #NammaTamizhagam #WeareCCFC #Lions pic.twitter.com/7oH8Y9wTzH — Chennai City FC (@ChennaiCityFC) March 10, 2019 While Gordillo developed a knack for finding Manzi with his defence-splitting passes, Rodriguez's ability to score from set-pieces further aided Chennai through their campaign. The Spanish trio of Manzi, Gordillo and Rodriguez showcased patience, understanding and skill over the course of the season in a partnership that kept Chennai in the hunt for the title. In the end, Chennai thwarted East Bengal's challenge and claimed the title by beating Minerva Punjab 3-1. After a 0-0 deadlock in the first-half, Manzi got Chennai in front in 56th minute before defender Gaurav Bora's brace (69', 90+2') sealed the game for the hosts. While Manzi finished the season with 21 goals, Gordillo appeared to be in a league of his own with 44 key passes. And, the fact that 40 out of the 48 goals scored by Chennai this season came through their Spanish trio, further highlights their importance in Nawas' side. Champions! Champions! ðð#HeroILeague #ILeagueIConquer pic.twitter.com/h8JIVJz7xl — Hero I-League (@ILeagueOfficial) March 9, 2019 Claiming their maiden I-League title, Chennai have become the first team from Tamil Nadu to be crowned champions. And, they achieved the feat just two years after getting promoted to the first division. For a team that was fighting relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, Chennai's marauding run to the I-League is no less than a fairytale that will be an inspiration for generations to come.
  10. If there has ever been a perfect owner of a football club, it has to be Paris Saint Germain's (PSG) Nasser Al-Khelaifi. The Qatar Sports Investment's president, Al-Khelaifi has left no stone unturned in order to make, what originally was an interesting and ambitious project into a successful project. What he couldn't seem to get his hands on is PSG's luck. On a night when the odds were in Les Rouge et Bleu's favour, considering the two-goal cushion from the first leg and 10 first team players injured for Manchester United, this really should've been a walk in the park, but Manchester United had other ideas in mind. United came from 2-0 first-leg deficit to beat PSG 3-1 and qualified on away goals. It was in the summer of 2017 when PSG decided to get over 'that' round-of-16 loss to Barcelona and signed Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in the same transfer window. A real fantasy manager stuff. These latest acquisitions made the French side look strong both mentally and physically. But as is the case most of the times, fortune favours the brave and last night, it was the Red Devils who proved to be the braver one. Considering this is PSG's second 'they-cannot-lose-now' kind of loss, here are a few similar moments from the two: 1. Early Goal “It's never Mission Impossible, it's more difficult”, admitted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his press conference. He stressed a lot on scoring an early goal and then staying in the game till the very end and United did just that, scoring the first goal after two minutes courtesy of Romelu Lukaku. Lukaku's goal to make it 0-1 pic.twitter.com/23paOFjNbk — DILLINGER ð¹(@DillanMUFC) March 6, 2019 Wonder where the tactic came from? Barcelona 1 - PSG 0. After just two minutes on the clock, Luis Suarez scored from a defensive mix-up and sparked the historic comeback. 2. Weird Penalty You do need a bit of luck when you're trying to accomplish such mammoth tasks. Not taking anything away from Manchester United and Barcelona, but the penalties given against Presnel Kimpembe and Thomas Meunier were both a little bit harsh. Man United had VAR to thank for the penalty, whereas the referee consulted his assistant before giving the penalty to Barcelona which he denied initially, in 2017. Marcus Rashford's historic winning penalty is even better with Titanic music! pic.twitter.com/ZSRrScw47O — The Man Utd Way (@TheManUtdWay) March 7, 2019 3. Late Late Goal © Reuters Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was one of the major personalities in that era of 'Fergie Time'. The man, who himself knows a thing or two about late goals, saw his team score one thanks to the winning penalty from Marcus Rashford. © Reuters This time, it was Marcus Rashford and the last time, it was Barcelona's academy graduate Sergi Roberto who was found perfectly by Neymar's lofted pass and broke Parisian's hearts. 4. Historic Wins The thing both the games had in common was the 'No-One-Has-Ever-Done-That' factor. For Manchester United, no team had ever overturned a 2-0 home leg defeat in order to qualify. Whereas for Barcelona, no team had ever qualified after losing the first leg away from home 4-0. To everybody's surprise, these teams did the impossible. As for PSG, the project they have and are working on is really an enticing one. Their owner can buy anything, any player, any facility in the world. What we really want to recommend them is to buy some luck as well. As it turns out, PSG is the Tottenham of the Champions League.

  14. When it comes to entertainment, the year gone by has, by far, been one of the most memorable years of recent times. 2018 saw the rise of the underdogs, getting their due recognition and appreciation, besides witnessing a fresh outpouring of newer themes and scripts that had us queueing up outside movie halls, with just as much gusto as with exclusive web releases. That said, we must guide your attention to the alternate universe of indie films that saw a significant rise in popularity in 2018 with numerous titles successfully making their way to the screens and our hearts. 15. Google's next operating system Fuchsia OS is expected to hit devices in the next few years and apparently, it will be able to run Android apps as well. This will make it easier for Android's existing user base to switch to the new platform when it is available on the next generation of smartphones. © Twitter 9to5Google spotted a new file on Android's open source project website that said: "These targets are used to build ART for Fuchsia.” This means that Google is making a special version of Android Runtime or ART which will be able to run Android apps. "They differ from usual Android devices as they do not target specific hardware. They will produce a fuchsia package (.far file)," the memo reads. © 9t05Google This basically means that users will be able to bring over all their purchases from the Google Play Store to the new operating system without any problems. Based on previous leaks and reports, Fuchsia will be able to run on a range of devices such as phones, tablets and even PCS. This will basically bridge the gap between Android and Chrome OS and work similar to Apple's ecosystem. Having said that, offering backward compatibility for Android apps on the new operating system may make it encouraging for users to upgrade to new devices. Whenever the time comes, the conversion rate can be expected to be fast, as people would be comfortable to try out the new operating system without losing any of their data and purchases. 16. I don't know how to stress this enough - people really suck. Everyone would complain about how India is not advancing and then would destroy any new thing that is introduced for the betterment of the country. Case in point - the fastest train in the country - Train 18, which is scheduled to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 29, has already had people hurl stones at it for no apparent reason. According to a senior official, the train was pelted with stones yesterday during a trial run between Delhi and Agra, and it ended in a broken window. Wow, people are so great. Sudhanshu Manu, General Manager of the Integral Coach Factory, tweeted, “Train 18 running at 180 km/h between Delhi and Agra at this time... Srinivas, the Chief Design Engineer of ICF is in the cab, they touched 181 kmh for record sake... Some vandal threw a stone breaking a glass, hope we nab him”. This isn't even a first shameful train related incident. Last year, the Mumbai-Goa Tejas Express got a similar treatment with people stealing headphones that were provided to them and overall damaging the train on its maiden run. What's the point, then? I really want to know what that person gained by smashing a window of Train 18. It doesn't even make sense. Everyone is disappointed, everyone is confused and everyone understands my point - we don't deserve anything. Ppl say that India is a Nation of Uneducated, Filthy & Uncouth people but I retorted but today it seems they were always right Stone pelted at India's fastest train, Train 18 during a trial run from Delhi to Agra. There will always be those who want to put us back in the 'stone age'. • India's fastest & 1st engineless train will replace Shatabdi trains, will run between Delhi and Varanasi. • Manufactured by ICF Chennai at a cost of Rs 100 crore.https://t.co/FCuxb8M4dS — Anurag Thakur (@ianuragthakur) December 20, 2018 Shameful, indeed. India's first engine-less semi-high speed train, Train 18, has been vandalized by stone pelting even before it's inauguration & first run. People don't care for public property, responsibility & duties, and then they demand for Ache Din. — Anshul Saxena (@AskAnshul) December 20, 2018 The first line is spot on. Vandalism may not be our culture, but tolerating vandalism is. A stone pelter broke the window of Train 18, the fastest train of India during trials between New Delhi & Agra today. 17. Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone's wedding has been pretty much the only topic that has been trending in Bollywood of late, till of course Nick-Yanka also joined the bandwagon. The last leg of the celebrations were held yesterday in Mumbai, where pretty much everyone was invited. While everyone looked like a million bucks, we couldn't help but notice one young lad, who fit right in, yet stood apart. We are talking about Arjun Tendulkar, the designated Prince of Indian cricket (Is Sachin the King or the God? Anyway, you get the drift). (c) Viral Bhayani Arjun looked like someone whom KJo will just swoop right in and sign a bunch of films with. His blingy yet sophisticated blue kurta, paired with the black Patiala trousers were understated, yet statement. (c) Viral Bhayani (c) Viral Bhayani What was striking about his appearance was how tall he looked. Well, he was standing next to his father, who's not so tall himself, so that helped a bit, but the outfit gave him a lot of height. The pairing of blue black in the ratio he wore them in had a lot to do in that area. (c) Viral Bhayani We also liked the fact that he chose to be basic, yet dignified. The choice of plain black Oxfords tell us that he's a no-nonsense kind of dresser who sticks to the tasteful basics. (c) Viral Bhayani All we can say is that, if he someday decides not to play cricket anymore, Bollywood will knock on his door right away. All the best, Arjun!
  18. All of us, at some point in life, have planned to start running or participate in a marathon. I have met people from all walks of life, people who are from the corporate sector, housewives, or even people who have just graduated from college. I had people of all shapes, sizes, and weights who have taken up running and it's been a wonderful experience helping them to take up this sport and not just make it into something which becomes challenging or an activity which alleviates anxiety and stress but as a life-changing experience that you keep for good. While speed, strength, endurance, and stamina are perquisites for running the marathon, being equipped with the right gear enhances your performance further. Did you know it's a good idea to keep your running day and training day shoes separate? Here are some important tips to keep in mind when you plan your next 10km run. 1) Start Early To Finish Early It takes anywhere between 14 to 16 weeks for the buildup required to run a 10K race. It helps you stay consistent and ensures your prep is satisfactory for the race. © Nike 2) Don't Focus On Just Running! Warm ups are essential because you need to prepare your body and your heart to take up the rigors of training. The muscles need to be warmed up so that they are ready to generate force. If they are not warmed up and are cold, there are chances of having a muscle tear. So warm up is essential to open your blood vessels and for your heart to comfortably start pumping blood and for the body's core temperature to rise, helping you to be on the go. You can choose a relevant 15min workout on the Nike Training App before you start your run which will not only warm you up but also strengthen you. 3) Don't Just Beat Your Time But Even Eat On Time A good diet is important for running a marathon, a nutritionist or a coach should be able to give you the right meal plan to prep up your body for race day. There are specific quantities to be consumed based on how much you run. For example, carbohydrates should be consumed to the extent of 8 – 10 gms / Kg of body weight. Protein intake is about 1.2 gms / kg of body weight. © Pixabay 4) The Tapering Effect Yes, consistent practice and training are very important but what is also important is that you are tapered well—that means you have reduced your training and you are arriving at the start line relatively fresh-legged. 5) Even Though You Are Happy And Pumped Up, Let Your Body Rest And Recover While you are still pumped up and exhilarated from completing that 10K run, it is important to take appropriate nutrition – carbohydrates and proteins to replenish your body's amino acids and carbohydrates, once the race is over. Adequate rest and active recovery are crucial. A carbohydrate and protein meal within an hour of finishing the race and a post-race massage after 24 hours are good for a recovery. 19. We grew up admiring Bollywood stars for a number of reasons - some for their charisma, some for their physique, some because of how good-looking they were. However, sometimes, those criteria change. For example, Suniel Shetty wasn't really admired because of his fashion sense back in the '90s, during his peak years, but look at the man now! He is 57, but he looks incredible, and we won't even be exaggerating if we said he looks better than ever. He was recently spotted at the airport in a fitted T-shirt and jogger pants, and we couldn't help but admire how excellently he is embracing age. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani To have maintained that toned, musclebound physique at the age of 57 in itself is worthy of appreciation, but Suniel sure knows how to do justice to it by dressing right. We love his choice of T-shirt. The royal blue perfectly complements his skin tone. Plus, it's doing wonders for that perfectly shaped salt-n-pepper beard as well. © Viral Bhayani The fact that he has chosen to wear a pair of well-fitted jogger pants in light blue, shows that he understands how to utilize the shade card in terms of choosing outfits. We are in love with the combination. It is classy, and extremely versatile. © Viral Bhayani Mr Shetty's choice of footwear shows that he is all about minimalism and class. What other footwear, other than a pair of white sneakers, can possibly look better with this outfit? © Viral Bhayani He has kept the accessory bit minimal, by opting for a pair of aviators and a silver 'kada' - simple, but classy. The youngsters are jealous, Mr S. And rightfully so!

  21. Trail runs make for one of the most adventurous and exciting sports you could possibly take part in. After all, the sheer sense of adrenaline and thrill you'll be experiencing is pretty much unrivaled. But a trail run is not like your run-of-the-mill morning run - it's more challenging, more risky and requires an extra dose of training and caution on your end. This is where following some basic tips becomes useful and in some cases even necessary. And so if you're planning on going on an adventurous and thrilling trail run, here are seven tips you should keep in mind to make sure you have a fun (and safe!) run: 1) Invest In The Right Trail Running Shoes © Pexels This is perhaps the most important and essential thing you need to do before you go on your next trail run. After all, without investing in the best trail running shoes, you'd never be properly prepared to run on the rugged (and often times unstable) terrains of those steepy mountains and hills. As such, getting your hands on the best running shoes - ones that happen to be absolutely essential - is pretty much a no-brainer! Pro tip: Reebok, Wildcraft and Salomon curate some of the best trail running shoes in the market, most of which happen to be budget-friendly as well. 2) Conduct Proper Research Before Choosing The Trail You'll Be Running On © Unsplash As adventurous, thrilling and adrenaline rushing a trail run can be, it's also one of the most dangerous sports to take part in - especially if you don't conduct proper research about the trail you'll be running on. So before you go on your run, make sure you know everything you need to know about that particular terrain, including its altitude, its steepness, any potential safety hazards, nearby places of interest and even the type of fauna and flora you'll find on that terrain. 3) Stock Up On All Essential Supplies © Unsplash While trail running shoes are certainly the most important thing you'll need for your trail run, they are NOT the only thing you require. There are other essential supplies that you need to be stocking up on as well including, but not limited to, protective sunglasses, reflective running vests, waist pouches, windcheater jackets (in case your terrain reaches incredibly high altitudes), and even a bottle of sunscreen. Pro tip: MensXP has already curated a list of essential products you need to keep in handy before going on a trail run. 4) Make Sure You Account For The Weather © Unsplash While Indian weather can be just as unpredictable as the stock market, you should still make sure you go through the weather predictions for that particular terrain before you go on your run. After all, you really don't want to be caught off-guard with a severe storm, a dust storm or even a blizzard (depending on the location of your terrain as well as the time of the year), while you're in the middle of your run. 5) Ensure That You're Physically Trained And Mentally Prepared For The Trail Run © Unsplash A trail run is perhaps one of the most physically challenging and taxing adventure sports you could possibly take part in. It requires a well-honed skill set and to put it lightly, it's not for the faint-hearted. As such, you need to absolutely make sure that you are physically trained and mentally prepared for your trail run - and have a clear understanding of how much stamina you'll require and just how physically exhausting things can get. 6) Keep Your Eyes On The Trail © Unsplash While this is mostly true for any type of run, it becomes especially true when you're on a trail run. After all, there are a gamut of potential safety hazards that you might encounter while on a trail run that you simply won't during any run-of-the mill marathon - including steep cliffs and ledges to fall off, potential rock slides and even the appearance of wild animals! So keeping your eyes on the trail becomes necessary, irrespective of how tempting it can be to look at the nature around you. 7) Finally, Ensure That You Are Always Carrying Fluids With You © Unsplash As general rule of principle, staying hydrated and drinking lots of water is something you should always make sure you are practicing. But this golden rule of life becomes even more essential when you're on a trail run. So make sure you have those hydration packs stocked up and that you're always carrying water bottles and/or energy drinks that will keep you constantly hydrated.
  22. A lot of people go viral on the internet for doing something really stupid and potentially dangerous that a lot of people say, 'stop making stupid people famous'. While that's true, the internet also recognizes real talent sometimes and people who have a lot of potential go viral and that one thing can change someone's life. And, I hope a viral video of a painter with so much raw talent is life-changing for him. So basically, a painter from Pakistan was just doing his job while enjoying and singing and a video of it was uploaded online. A lot of people were blown away by how good he sounds – even better than some of the most famous singers. Just listen how effortless he is. So I saw this on fb and decided we need to make this guy just as famous if not more than the #chaiwala. Apparently he's from Pakistan and just listen to his voice for yourself ð pic.twitter.com/tGh3nYbdLq — Bayek of Siwa (@Classikhman) August 2, 2018 His name is Muhammad Arif and it's safe to assume he's a big Bollywood fan. He also has a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ArifSingerPage/ )which already has close to 15k likes. And, it also looks like a lot of people on Twitter don't want his talent to go to waste and are tweeting his videos, bringing him any recognition he can get. This man deserves to go viral, to all my brown friends please rt this he needs a right platform to show his talent. His name is Arif pic.twitter.com/Ej5gkzLixz — Hiza. 23. There are people who love to eat, there are people who love to cook and then there are people like me, who love both and have subscribed to a gazillion cooking and food channels on YouTube. And if you are anything like me or one of the million viewers who love to watch people flaunting their culinary skills, chances are that you might have followed this year's MasterChef Australia as well. MasterChef Australia 2018 was arguably one of the most exciting reality shows of this year. The finale, which was way better than the icing those contestants put on their cakes, gave the world Sashi Cheliah, a name people won't forget anytime soon. Instagram Indian-origin Sashi Cheliah created history by becoming the show's highest scorer ever (93 out of 100). He defeated Queensland's Ben Borsht to clinch this victory. But, more than his win, it is his story and future plans that is turning heads everywhere. Instagram Born in Singapore, Sashi worked with the Star Unit of Singapore Police Force for nearly a decade and was trained in rescue operations and counter-terrorism. In 2011, he moved to Adelaide, Australia where he started working as a prison officer in the women's prison. Instagram Who would have thought that an advertisement of MasterChef Australia on Facebook will change Sashi's life for good? Sashi's love for food grew after he moved to Australia and now, he wants to replicate authentic Indian, Malaysian and Chinese cuisine. Instagram Sashi has won $250,000 (Australian dollars) as prize money and now, he dreams of opening a restaurant that will serve Indian and South-East Asian cuisine. In fact, Sashi wants to hire ex-prisoners in order to provide them assistance, rehabilitation, and employment opportunities.
  24. Starting my day with the red-hot Realme 1 is a treat in itself. The first word that pops into my mind every time I see my OPPO Realme, is definitely 'AWESOME'. Especially because the kind of support it gives me in a price of Rs. 13,990 is immense! And that's a great way to start the day! Anyway, getting ready for work is quite a speedy affair, where I am mostly running around to get stuff done as soon as I can. In that small window of 30-40 minutes, I let my 'awesome' Realme charge, and that's almost all it needs to last for the entire day. I get to work as soon as I reach office. Due to a somewhat weird habit, that I developed back in school, I just can't concentrate without listening to music. I listen to some Damien Rice early on, on my phone, which boasts that a single speaker is loud enough, and is certainly better than most of its competition in the market. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Now, you might think that I am a diligent worker because I start working as soon as I reach, but let's be honest, we all take breaks and I am no different. But I spend most of my breaks taking selfies. I have no shame. Sue me! Sahil Kedia/MensXP MensXP And I simply love the Realme 1's cameras: both front and rear, because irrespective of what my condition is, I look awesome in the pictures. The AI Shot included in the phone acts as a personal beauty artist, which gives me customised options to look picture-perfect. The camera works, if not better, as good as a dual camera, which is great for the kind of money I've spent. Sahil Kedia/MensXP The phone also comes with its own AR Sticker function, which is supported in both front and back photography, as well as video recording, offering the most convenient and fun photography experience! The 13MP rear camera also features the AI Scene Recognition which can intelligently and accurately identify different scenes and objects in real-time to tune the perfect balance of brightness, exposure, color, and contrast. It's wonderful to have so many new features in a price-range so affordable. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Sahil Kedia/MensXP On days that are light on work, I spend some time catching up on my favourite series and movies. With a 6-inch FHD+ Full Screen and a screen-body ratio of almost 85%, the Realme 1 provides a great experience with clearer and more colourful videos. And if you're wondering, yes, I keep the downloaded shows and movies on my phone. How else do you think I will use my 128 GB ROM storage effectively? Sahil Kedia/MensXP And unlike many of its competitors, the phone doesn't freeze when overused. In fact, there's no such thing as overusing my Realme 1. I have run up to 20 apps in one go and my phone hasn't hung on me even once. It has the most powerful CPU- Helop P60- in the present segment. It is the same chipset as that present in OPPO flagship F7 available in half the price of the latter! Isn't that a great deal? Sahil Kedia/MensXP Sahil Kedia/MensXP I take a cab back home and usually spend hours in the dreadful traffic. That's when I normally speak to my friends to kill the time. The phone's 3410mAh battery + AI battery management promise + the sharp AI processor ensures that a long and high usage doesn't affect its performance or heat up the phone. So, talking on the phone for 2 hours at a stretch is not a biggie for my Realme 1. Sahil Kedia/MensXP Priced at Rs 13,990, this phone definitely puts all others to shame. Along with the Solar Red body that I own, there's another variant which is much more elegant, in my honest opinion: Diamond Black. The phone's rear panel stands out and gives it a premium look. Seeing the thought and detail given to a budget smartphone is almost refreshing. Sahil Kedia/MensXP With the phone offering the best specifications, one of the best selfie and rear cameras, the most unique designs in the market... Don't you think you're missing out on something if you don't have a Realme 1? But hey, if even Rs. 13,990 seems out of budget, OPPO's got you covered with an even more affordable variant of the phone! The price of the new Oppo Realme 1 Moonlight Silver variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage has been set at Rs. 10,990! Sahil Kedia/MensXP Thinking of buying a new phone now, are you?
