Jim Sarbh undoubtedly has to be the quirkiest style icon we have seen in a while, and the best bit is, he is absolutely nonchalant about it. Right from pulling off gender-neutral clothing to hitting huge mainstream fashion sixers, this man is what we call a 'woke fashionista'. His delightful nonchalance just got reflected again, when he casually took an auto ride while going for a date - that too wearing the funkiest, most colourful shirt ever. © Viral Bhayani Now, it's not every day we get to see a celeb roaming around casually, taking a tour of the city in a rick, but it's Jim we're talking about, someone who's known for being a non-conformist, even in seemingly trivial daily occurrences like this one here. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani When it comes to his outfit, we're in love with the multicoloured extravaganza. The neon-bright shades of green, purple, and chrome are popping everywhere, and we take that as an extension of the whole IDGAF swag going on inside that rick. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Let's just say Jim clearly is as unorthodox (read, cool) as the clothes he wears. Nothing makes for a cooler date, tbh!
Anyone who follows Jim Sarbh on social media, knows very well that this man has his very own, special brand of aesthetic that only he can carry off. His outfits are wonderfully weird, and strangely artistic. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure does exude confidence, charm, and most importantly, originality. He just proved it once again by attending an award ceremony wearing a very special black suit, that we think is the best red carpet outfit we have seen this year. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Here is why we think that this outfit is special. 1. It takes skill to wear a suit without a tie or a bow-tie, and making it look equally fancy. Jim's black Mandarin collar shirt, buttoned all the way up, is doing that effortlessly. © Viral Bhayani 2. When was the last time you saw someone rock high-waisted pants on the red carpet, that too as a part of a suit? The high waist, along with the belt extension from the jacket, is making it look like a runway-ready piece. © Viral Bhayani 3. Usually, tapered pants are always preferred on a red carpet, because it makes you look sharper. But Jim isn't one to follow the beaten track, of course. He chose a super relaxed pair of pants with a magnificent fall, that makes him look like the fashion royalty. © Viral Bhayani 4. Look at the jacket. The collar lapel is one of the most unusual lapels we have ever seen, and there is a belt extension that goes around in layers, and then falls on the side, making it look like a tie-up belt. Surreal, we say. © Viral Bhayani This is what we call effortlessly innovative styling, while keeping it subtle yet classy.
Since the time Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' has begun to tantalise us with teasers and posters, the film has also unfortunately been facing backlash for some or the other reasons. From the filmmaker being attacked, slapped, and the sets being set on fire by Karni Sena for bizarre reasons in Rajasthan, the film's team has faced a lot of problems since the start. Bhansali, who is known for creating magnum opus historic films despite all the issues, came forward and assured that there was nothing in the film that would hurt anyone's sentiments. However, it seems like people are too touchy about history and freedom of expression is just a concept which seems to be disappearing. The first look, the trailer of the film and the songs...everything has got a positive response so far. As one would expect, just like any other Bhansali film, people can't wait for it to hit the theatres but there too the movie is facing herculean hurdles. You also have some royal families getting miffed with the depiction of Padmavati and her apparel and also dancing publically, while some are also worried about Khilji's portrayal and political groups who are doing everything in their capacity to ensure this film never sees the light of the day. (c) SLB Films Recently, Deepika Padukone had expressed her anger over an artist's 'Padmavati' Rangoli being ruined by demonstrators. The impact was so big that the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani had to step in. Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, who play pivotal roles in the film, have asked everyone to relax and form their opinion only after watching the film, which logically makes a lot more sense. And now, even Jim Sarbh, who will be seen playing a crucial part in the film, has decided to give his perspective as well. But instead of getting angry or asking everyone to chill, he decided to take a slightly separate approach! Taking the issue of boycotting 'Padmavati' to a whole new level, a Twitter user posted a tweet putting across his stand. Well, the man totally gave us some free gyan, but what made it even more hilarious was Sarbh's whiplash of a response. (c) Jim Sarbh/ Twitter After that, as expected, the Internet just couldn't stop laughing and several people chimed in with their opinions. Finally a valid reason. https://t.co/wg1pXP32Fc — Jim Sarbh (@jimSarbh) November 11, 2017 ðð½ðð½ pic.twitter.com/6Oqu0JEjPK — Akanksha. Talking about the film, as Bhansali said, there will be no imaginary scenes between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. So how about we give the makers a break? Haters can hate, but we are totally excited to watch the film on the big screen! The film will hit the theatres near us on December 1 and until then...everyone...peace!
Theater actor/movie actor and baller royalty, Jim Sarbh has a signature dressing style and that is, of 'just not caring enough'. There's just so much effort he puts in in looking a certain way, that it's almost negated when he's all dressed up. He's what we call—a throw-on maven. But that's something we established a long time ago. Today in the era of iconic tracks and their writers in his Instagram captions, Mr. Sarbh is standing for one big anthem—to diminish rules of conventional dressing. Having said that, we won't call him wacky. Or, a crazy menswear symbol. We've said this earlier and we're saying it again, he's as capital-F as capital-F celebrity fashion could get. ð·@dakpadakpadakpa ðð@anuj.bhutani. 'Friday I'm In Love' by The Cure. All outdoing the actor's own version of floor-scraping sartorial abilities. That said, he's no way on a path to proving a vital point to the men out there. While his style outings could be easily mistaken as missteps to some (cc: his fits, silhouettes, pairing skills), that's the lad's way of making a pro-move in fashion. He's pared down, experimental, but always a kilometer away from the usual. And that to us, is fair. IIFA. With the magic eye @tanster24, ðto @dsquared2 @zegnaofficial ð @louboutinworld. Even further, if formal wear tickles your bones, you might spot him in a wool coat, posing by some greens on his social media. His style could be monumental and a little off beat, but that doesn't mean he doesn't appeal to the masses. To be frank, he does have a style chop for men with varied personal styles. ð@sukritigrover @anaitashroffadajania. 'Loser' by Beck. Screaming of ample hydration, frequent conditioning and knocking every fade/undercut out there. Incentive? His curls always mate well with his psyched dressing patterns. So in conclusion, unless you're ill-advised on what to wear this season, just like us, we'd suggest you pit stop at Jim Sarbh's menswear den for some #inspo.
