  1. It's mostly said that one can never escape the long arms of the law, but if you ever try and run away from policeman Jadeep Singh, you won't be able to escape his long legs either! Yes, you read that right. Jagdeep Singh is the tallest policeman in the world and he stands tall at 7ft 6 inches! © Daily Mail Jagdeep is a traffic cop in Amritsar and also a little bit of a local celebrity. Well, of course you'll be a celebrity if you're in a town where you're literally looking down upon people. Jagdeep is so tall, that he got his uniform personally stitched for him and his shoes imported from outside India, as he wears 19 as his shoe size and of course Indian men have average sized feet, ahem. © BCCL Jagdeep has been in the police force for about two decades now and enjoys the attention he gets but also faces a lot of difficulties every now and then due to his height. © BCCL He was quoted by a popular publication saying: “I am very proud of being the tallest policeman in India. I am 7 feet 6 inches tall, I weigh around 190 kilograms and I feel very happy about it. I can't find shoes in my size in India. I have to order them from a different country". He also talked about other difficulties he faces with his clothing and basic life functions: “'There are a lot of problems in my life. I am not able to buy clothes of my size, I can't use a normal washroom. And I have to travel in my own car, I can't take a local bus or cab. They are too small for me. There were also problems in his love life while growing up. I wasn't able to find a girl of my height. Nobody was willing to marry me. People thought I was too tall.” © Pinterest Well, after longing for a partner Jagdeep finally found the love of his life, his wife Sukhbir Singh who is 5 ft 11 inches tall and trust me, that's tall enough to match her 7 ft 6 inches husband! Sukbhir was also quoted by a popular publication saying: “People come and take photos with us, it's great. I don't think there's anyone that's taller than him in India or the entire world,” © Indiatimes I am sure it's a moment of pride for Sukhbir who stands 'tall' by her husband's side, encouraging him to lead a normal yet fascinating life in Amritsar. The couple surely make a great pair and enjoy the celebrity status bestowed upon them in their town. © Pinterest While we think a 7ft 6 inch tall cop is what we need manning our city from crime and other bad things, we're more hopeful about the crime rate in Amrritsar dropping way down because of him. Jagdeep wishes to see his name in the Guinness Book of World Records so that he gains more popularity and we really hope his dream comes true someday!
  2. The unannounced OnePlus 7 is the next flagship smartphone to be released later this year and there has been plenty of speculation in regards to its design. Previous leaks have suggested that the OnePlus 7 will have a brave new design that may include a full-screen design. In order to implement a full-screen design, there are speculations that OnePlus may have to implement a sliding mechanism or a pop-out selfie camera similar to what we have seen on OPPO and Vivo smartphones. (c) Twitter That's the same story being told by renders that were published by Pricebaba and OnLeaks. OnLeaks generally has a good track record of leaks based on renders and it shows that the OnePlus 7 may have a design that might not excite everyone. Personally, we love the pop-out selfie camera as we finally saw the innovation being affordable thanks to the Vivo V15 Pro. It might be possible that may see this design on the OnePlus 7 as well however there are a few drawbacks with this design. (c) PriceBaba The OnePlus 7 already uses an in-display fingerprint sensor and it seems like that the OnePlus 7 will take a page from Vivo's book. It is said to have a 95% screen-to-body ratio which will be a first for any smartphone. Having said that, in order to have a design similar to the Vivo V15 Pro, it would come at the expensive of negligible water resistance and fast facial recognition. The OnePlus 6T's facial recognition capabilities were exceptionally fast however a pop-out selfie camera will naturally delay that process. (c) PriceBaba Apart from a pop-up design, the OnePlus 7 renders also show a vertical triple-camera setup at the rear. It's lined up straight at the middle without a fingerprint scanner to give it a more plush look. OnePlus already removed the headphone jack with the 6T and we can see a similar design choice on the OnePlus 7 as well. Needless to say that these renders are based on leaks and are not what the final outcome may look like. We can only be sure when OnePlus announces the OP7 later this year and see how these design choices may affect the practicality of the smartphone, if true. Source: Pricebaba
  3. Ever since Apple announced the iPhone X with a notch, smartphone companies have rushed to copy the design and even use the same tactic to hide its presence. Apple cleverly uses dark wallpapers by default which basically hides the notch when viewed from far. Samsung also uses similar wallpapers to hide the punch-hole gamer at the front of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. © Twitter_Matt B However, not everyone needs to hide the cameras, especially when other wallpapers can embrace Samsung's design choice. Twitter users Matt B (@mattcabb) posted a series of wallpapers that basically flaunt the front-facing cameras with unique characters from Futurama and even Jonny 5 from 'Short Circuit'. Other wallpapers include the NASA Mars Rover and a very cute R2-D2 for the Galaxy S10. © Twitter_Matt B You can have a look at the entire thread of Tweets that feature different wallpapers for the Galaxy S10/S10+. Not so sure about #bender from #futurama. Too much emotions in his original eyes. pic.twitter.com/I5F4kqLlQ3 — Matt B (@Mattcabb) February 27, 2019 The wallpapers are not currently available to download since the Galaxy S10 is not available to the general public yet. However, we do expect these wallpapers to pop up on social media very soon once the smartphone is in the hand of customers. For now, we're just hoping Matt B makes a 'Wall-E' version as well. Nawazuddin Siddiqui--the man who stands as an example of success that comes from unrelenting grit and hard work, also happens to be one of the most sought after actors in the film industry today. Nawazuddin has blessed our screens with some of the most entertaining releases in the last couple of years, right from 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'The Lunchbox', 'Manjhi', 'Mom', 'Manto' and more recently 'Thackeray' which took the entire nation by storm, besides many others. 5. Vivo has been one of the most innovative company in the past year and has been trying to achieve a full-screen experience with its pop-up camera mechanisms. It was first introduced with the Vivo Nex last year and it had features that were not seen in a smartphone before. It had an in-display fingerprint sensor and pop-up selfie camera. We've now seen that tech trickle down to a more affordable smartphone that makes innovation available to everyone. The Vivo 15 Pro packs a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 32-MP pop-up selfie camera. It's the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset which strikes a perfect balance between performance and battery conservation. We've been using the smartphone for a while and here's our review of the smartphone. Design And Display © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Vivo has managed to deliver a product that stands apart from anything else you've seen in the market. It has a near bezel-less screen and has a triple camera setup at the back. The camera module protrudes a bit as it houses both the camera sensors and the pop-up camera mechanism. The Vivo V15 Pro comes in two colours i.e. Topaz Blue and Ruby Red and has a plastic body at the back which may not be the best for people who want a premium finish. Vivo also supplies a case with the smartphone which protects the smartphone from scratches and drops and has a strategic cut-out to accommodate the pop-up camera. The smartphone also comes with a dedicated button on the left that can be used for launching Google Assistant. The Vivo V15 Pro also comes with an audio jack and has micro USB port for charging. In terms of display, the Vivo V15 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display and has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The display itself is similar to what you've seen before however, it has the feature of an in-display fingerprint sensor. The screen itself is vivid with accurate colour representation. The deep blacks are a delight as it accentuates other colours when watching videos. The near bezel-less display is also a delight to use while gaming as we can see more information on the screen and have more real-estate as compared to a smartphone with a notch. The in-display fingerprint sensor has also been improved upon since we first saw it on the Vivo Nex. The sensor is more accurate and faster at unlocking the smartphone. You will need to place your thumb on a specific part of the smartphone that reads fingerprints. Camera The Vivo V15 Pro has a triple camera set up at the rear which consists of a 48MP primary sensor, 5MO depth of field sensor and an 8MP wide angle lens. Having said that, the Vivo V15 Pro basically combines four smaller 0.8μm pixels into one large 1.6μm pixel, effectively giving a final result of 12MP pictures. You can, however, shoot in 48MP by adjusting the resolution from the settings. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The triple camera setup on the Vivo 15 Pro can let the smartphone take portrait shots and even 120-degree wide angle shots to get a bigger perspective in images. The camera has different modes where you can adjust different portrait lighting like you can on iPhones. The rear camera was able to take some awesome shots especially when it came to portraits. It even performed well in night mode which was kind of unexpected. The camera captures the right details without overexposing the images or without any noise. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The selfie camera is also a delight to use even though it may sound like a gimmick at first. The 32-MP selfie camera uses the same method as the primary camera to capture images that are accurate. Selfies were extremely accurate and captured everything we expected. There are some interesting filters and effects you can use for selfies where our favourite was the rainbow effect. The pop-up mechanism works fast and it takes about 0.5 seconds to start. The selfie camera can also be used for the face unlock feature. View this post on Instagram Images shot using the #VivoV15Pro A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Feb 22, 2019 at 1:50am PST Performance When it came to performance, the smartphone exceeded our expectations as it's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. It even comes with 128GB of internal storage which is more than enough to store media. The phone runs rather smoothly and we did not face any bugs or lag while trying to use multiple apps at the same time. Having said that, we aren't a big fan of FunTouch which may have caused a few app crashes and glitches. While gaming, we could run PUBG Mobile on the highest settings possible however there were a few noticeable drops in frame rates. In terms of benchmark scores, the Vivo V15 Pro scored 2394 in the single-core stress test whereas it scored 6502 on the multi-core test (Geekbench 4). The Vivo V15 Pro also has a 3,700 mAh battery that can easily last 1.5 days on moderate use. However, when combined with gaming and heavy navigation usage, you can see the battery life drop down to 17 hours. The Final Say The Vivo V15 Pro offers a lot of for Rs 28,990 as it has innovative features and a good camera to back up the price tag. It performed well during the course of our review and offers awesome battery life for a power user. We particularly don't like FunTouch OS however that can be customised according to your liking with a compatible launcher. If you are looking for a smartphone that screams innovation and backs up its claims, the Vivo V15 Pro is a great mid-budget smartphone.
  6. `Last year, Vivo launched the NEX and it was among the first few phones to sport a pop-up camera. The brand was also the first one to bring an in-display fingerprint scanner. Today, Vivo announced its first phone of 2019 in India, the V15 Pro. The V15 Pro brings in all the various trends from 2018, and clubs it into one. Having multiple rear cameras on the rear is the latest trend, and Vivo has decided to join the bandwagon as well. Amazon and Flipkart have been teasing the phone for quite some time now and here's everything you need to know about it. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla It has a glass back with a colour gradient and a notch-less display with smaller bezels. Vivo boasts that it has further cut down the chin, offering a better screen-to-body ratio of 91.6 percent. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla On the front is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It comes with a Snapdragon 675 processor along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For authentication, it features an in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock. A dedicated Smart Button activates Google Assistant and the phone also ships with Vivo's Jovi assistant. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The V15 Pro includes a triple rear camera setup consisting of: a 48-megapixel primary sensor with Quad Pixel technology, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The Quad Pixel technology can combine four pixels into one large pixel to deliver a high-quality 12-megapixel picture. This comes handy in low-light pictures when details tend to get blurry. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The pop-up module houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera and Vivo is confident it's sturdy enough to withstand daily wear and tear. The hardware is assisted by AI Portrait, AI Beauty, and AI Super Night Mode for even better output. The phone ships with Android 9 Pie based Funtouch OS 9 and is backed by a 3700mAh battery. For fast charging, the phone also supports dual-engine charging. Lastly, Game Mode 5.0 ensures better gaming performance by prioritizing resources and slightly overclocks the CPU to reduce frame-drops. It has been priced at Rs 28,990 for the 6GB+128GB and shall be available via all major retailers as well as online sellers starting Feb 20th.
  7. If you thought that Ellen DeGeneres' iconic Oscar selfie is the world's best selfie, then wait till you see Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar and Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty and Rajkummar Rao (and the list just goes on) in one frame. On Thursday, our 'Gully Boy' Ranveer Singh and other Bollywood celebrities and filmmakers met PM Modi and to mark this epic moment, they clicked a selfie that was more epic than their meeting. Excel Entertainment Karan Johar was one of the first few celebrities to post the selfie, with the caption "Powerful and timely conversations can bring about change and this was one of what we hope will become a regular conversation. Meeting the Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi today was an incredible opportunity." He further wrote, "As a community, there is a huge interest to contribute to nation building. There is so much that we want to do. And can do and this dialogue was towards how and what ways we can do that. When the youngest country (in demography) joins hands with the largest movie industry in the world, we hope to be a force to reckon with. Together we would love to inspire and ignite positive changes to a transformative India. The film industry would also like to send a huge thanks for the GST reduction in movie ticket prices that was implemented recently! Thank you so much for your time, Sir!" For those who don't know, Vivek Oberoi is playing PM Modi in the upcoming biopic titled 'PM Narendra Modi', and actor Paresh Rawal too has announced that he will be making another biopic where he will play PM Modi.
  8. Back in August 2003, Sir Alex Ferguson and his star-studded Manchester United side were invited to Lisbon to play against Sporting Clube de Portugal, as part of the inauguration of the Estadio Jose Alvalade. For a team of United's stature, their clash against Sporting CP was not really going to be a problem. But, what was supposed to be just another exhibition game, eventually turned out to be the launch pad of one football's greatest ever player. After four successive victories in America, Man United's roadshow came grinding to a halt after they ran into an 18-year-old skinny winger who was hell-bent on cutting a sorry figure for the visitors' defence. That day, Sporting CP secured a 3-1 win over United. And, despite not getting his name on the scoresheet, Cristiano Ronaldo had impressed everyone. Such was his artistry on the pitch that United's players literally begged Ferguson to sign the young winger. Since that day, there has been no turning back for Ronaldo. Signed for 12.24 million pounds, the Portuguese, at the time, became the most expensive teenager in English football history. Donning the iconic No. 7 jersey, Ronaldo's six-year stint with the Red Devils saw him shattering one record after another. Nurtured in the company of father-figure Ferguson, Ronaldo also forged a special bond with Old Trafford and Man Utd fans. © Reuters Thus, when the UEFA Champions League fixtures pitted Juventus against Manchester United in the group stage, all eyes were on Ronaldo and his return to the very ground that played a pivotal role in the rise of one of the modern-day's footballing greats. Manchester United's prodigal son was returning home and you bet, there were moments of nostalgia at Old Trafford. It all began when a pitch invader sprinted on to the turf four minutes into the match. Dressed in jeans and a hoodie, the skinny man charged for the East Stand where players from both teams were congregated. The stewards tried to bring his dream run to an end, but the man wasn't going let anything or anyone come in his way. Possessed with the idea of meeting his idol, the pitch invader dodged two tackles before being brought down by the stewards on the third attempt. While some in the crowd watched in silence, others couldn't help but feel sorry for him. But, Ronaldo knew what was going on. And, without further ado, Ronaldo walked over to the intruder and touched his outstretched hand. And, just like that, the pitch invader's struggle had come to an end; he had got what he wanted. It was a moment that reminded those asking: who was the biggest star of these two European clubs? © Reuters In the sixth minute, Ronaldo turned the clock back with his smart footwork as he turned away from Ashley Young, drawing the first of many fouls in the match. Soon after that, he provided a glimpse of his old pace as he beat the same man to a loose ball. And, then came the moment of brilliance when he set up Paulo Dybala with a brilliant cross - something that Ronaldo is not usually credited for. Starting the game from the left, Ronaldo was given the licence to swap positions with Juan Cuadrado and Dybala. And, it was from the right, that he set up the lone goal of the match in the 17th minute. Though his cross for Dybala's decisive goal was not an assist (that accolade probably goes to Smalling who got some part of his boot on the ball in a bid to deflect it), it was sumptuous all the same - whipped with the pace at neck height, posing uncertainty and delivered to cause maximum damage. He came close to scoring himself through a free-kick late in the first half, forcing David de Gea into an uncertain punched save. But his best strike at goal came in the second half when he drew the very best out of the United goalkeeper with a piledriver of a shot from 18 yards out. © Reuters While many would have felt a bit disappointed with Ronaldo not bagging a goal, it's needless to say that the Portuguese had a great homecoming. He might not have looked like the leader he once was at the same ground, but his performance was just as effective. In his very action, Ronaldo did the right thing, the intelligent thing - often making Smalling look foolish. If Ronaldo's mature performance wasn't enough, the turn of events after the final whistle further highlighted what Man Utd fans mean to the 33-year-old. Having secured a comfortable 1-0 win, Juventus stars were walking into the dressing room. But, not Ronaldo. The Portuguese was the last man to head into the tunnel, not before the Old Trafford crowd witnessed his humility. Right after the game, two more pitch invaders stormed to the playing field. Unlike the first invader, these two were more interested in selfies. Once again, the stewards interceded and again Ronaldo intervened. Taking a phone from one of the young men, Ronaldo struck a pose with them to make sure their wild sprint on the pitch was worth it. © Reuters Taking notice of his humility, the stadium erupted in joy as Ronaldo was cheered off by all sides of Old Trafford. Touched by the reception, Ronaldo, too, obliged, clapping and touching his chest to show what their applause meant to him. For a man who returned to his old home with a rape allegation, Ronaldo barely seemed like he cared what people thought of him. His performance was more of a story of maturity and, believe it or not, teamwork. He misplaced only three of his 35 passes in the game, helped retain possession with the ball and ran the channels willingly without it. So, rather than blaming Ronaldo for shooting blanks at Old Trafford on his return, let's laud this Phenom for the magic he recreated at his old home.

  10. On days when Priyanka Chopra is not chilling with Nick Jonas, she is busy making headlines for the same and for the decisions she takes in her professional life. People still haven't stopped talking about her sudden exit from Salman Khan's 'Bharat' or why her movie with Chris Pratt has been delayed for an indefinite time. Instagram However, in all these years or since the time people started following her on social media, her fans have never seen her workout pictures or videos. So what's the secret behind her fitness? I am sure there's no magical fountain she is secretly sipping from. It's obvious that she works hard to be healthy and fit and her latest gym selfie is proof of the same. Recently, Priyanka suprised her 26 million fans with a gym selfie with the caption, "In between sets..#selfies#trainingday." In between sets.. #selfiefirst #trainingday ð¤¦ð½‍âï¸ð A post shared by Priyanka Chopra (@priyankachopra) on Aug 7, 2018 at 12:16am PDT But, that's not even the best part of the picture. The best thing about her gym selfie was a single comment that came from none other than her on-screen brother from 'Dil Dhadakne Do' Ranveer Singh. Being the prankster that Ranveer is, he couldn't stop himself from making the most out of this golden opportunity. He wrote, "PC working out? I have seen everything. What are you eating post workout? Chivda?" Now that sounds like a legit question, doesn't it? Instagram Priyanka Chopra was quick to reply to his comment, "Nahi yaar! I have learned focus and dedication from you!" Honestly, we are in love with this funny banter that's going on between the two. Instagram While everyone including us, her friends and stylist were shocked to see this selfie, it sure is a great motivation for those trying to get a perfect summer body, for 2019 since 2018 is almost over.
  11. Hardik Pandya needs no introduction. He is one of the best players in the Indian cricket team and an all-rounder both on-field and off the field. Team India's livewire, Pandya is someone who plays hard and parties harder. His fashion game is as strong as the helicopter shot he played against Ireland last month. Pandya is possibly the best company you can ask for on a boring flight. At least his teammates think so ever since the video of his funny interview session with the Indian cricket team surfaced. But, if there's anything that speaks louder than Pandya's bat, it's probably his link-up rumours with actress Elli AvrRam that started circulating when Elli attended Hardik's brother Krunal's wedding. © Twitter When it comes to love, Bollywood and Cricket are like Bread and Butter - the best combination ever. And after Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan; Hardik Pandya too found his name in this list, although nothing is confirmed. However, after Hardik's latest post we guess people will forget about Elli AvrRam because he has a new person in his life, who is also his 'No. 1 love'. Now, before you jump to any conclusion, let me tell you this is someone we all know and love, but not more than how much Deepika Pallikal Karthik does. Photo: © YouTube (Main Image) My no. 1 love â¤ï¸ @DineshKarthik pic.twitter.com/WJxAC6AgtU — hardik pandya (@hardikpandya7) July 30, 2018 Giving major bromance goals, Hardik Pandya posted this selfie with Dinesh Karthik and captioned it, "My No. 1 love". Their bromance is nothing new, and time and again Karthik and Pandya have expressed their friendship for each other. Earlier, on Gaurav Kapoor's popular show 'Breakfast with Champions' Karthik had said, "I spend a lot of time with Hardik and KL [Rahul]. First time we played together as a team was in Champions Trophy last year. He observed me initially but we didn't talk. Just exchanged pleasantries." He further added, "One day I was just in the gym and he comes to me and says, 'You're not that bad a guy. Everybody said you're a horrible guy but I think you're a decent guy.' And that's how it all started from there."
