  3. A hilarious video of a man walking through flooded Venice is doing the rounds on the internet. Well, it is hilarious because the man, totally unaware of the water's depth, falls into the canal while managing to click a selfie. Venice was left completely devastated as it faced severe floods recently, and was hit by its highest tide in more than 50 years this month. Ever since the video was made available on Twitter by a user named StanceGrounded, it has garnered over 4.6 million views and also was retweeted 51,000 times. The clip shows a man walking through the heavily flooded area with a selfie stick in his hand to get that perfect shot, while completely forgetting that there is no ground left and falls into the canal. 6. We choose to believe that fairytales don't exist in real life. That fate doesn't undergo a makeover overnight. That miracles are excuses created by optimists who cannot settle for anything less than happy endings. But one woman, born out of the streets, dismantled each one of these beliefs one musical note at a time. The name is Ranu Mondal, the social media sensation from Kolkata who broke the internet in August with her melodious rendition of Lata Mangeshkar's iconic song Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai. She has lived the last few months that looks nothing short of a guardian angel bringing the unimaginable to life. © Instagram/CareerPlusNews Instant publicity and a crazy fan following were just a few things that social media virality showered her with. But it wasn't until Bollywood composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya decided to record a song with Ranu that things blew up to a whole new dimension. Overnight, Ranu Mondal was whisked away from the Ranaghat Railway Station that she called home, given a complete makeover and an album she could call her own! Who said overnight stardom can only be found in fiction? It was Ranu's voice and talent that had first gotten her under the limelight, but it was really her rags to riches story that touched a million hearts in the country. It gave people hope that even a nobody can touch the skies if they've got the talent to power through. © Instagram Thousands of Indians lived their unrealised dreams through this 59-year-old frail woman, who had a voice that literally shook the nation. But here's the deal, humans are flawed by nature. It's a manufacturing defect that really doesn't have an authority to put the blame on. And because each one of us is flawed, Ranu Mondal wasn't spared this misfortune either. Ranu Mondal's fatal flaw turned out to be her expected inability to handle the mass publicity and celebrity status dished out to her in such a short time. Why do we say so? © Twitter/Superstar Singers Well, hours ago a video featuring Ranu Mondal began doing the rounds on social media that shows Ranu getting annoyed at a lady who tapped on her shoulder to call her and probably to also request for a selfie. Ranu has since been bashed on social media left, right and centre for apparently having turned too haughty and high-handed. View this post on Instagram Social | Don't touch me; I'm celebrity now. #ranumondal #Kolkata #Bollywood #bollywoodfashion #bollywoodnews #bollywoodcelebrity #Mumbai #Filmcity #IndianHistoryLive A post shared by Indian History Pictures (@indianhistorylive) on Nov 3, 2019 at 11:32pm PST Some are even claiming that popularity has gotten to her head. But wait, why are we bashing her again? Being a celebrity or a public figure doesn't mean people get to have free access to them as and when they please. Why is Ranu alone being bashed for this incident? Why isn't anyone calling out the lady for not keeping up the basic courtesy of approaching a person and addressing them by their name before stating their request? What's with this attitude that “we made you and therefore you belong to us” to act up as per our whims and fancies? © Idiva What's with this absolute disregard that we show towards people's personal space and the disrespectful way of chasing after things we misjudge as our birthright? No matter what conversation the two of them had, and regardless of whether one is a celebrity or an ordinary human being, acquaintance or even a friend, you do not go around tapping people on the shoulder and state your expectations from them. Before we begin to completely destroy her barely there public image, let us remember that she wasn't completely wrong in expressing her discomfort regarding how she is treated by the public. We might have turned her into a social celebrity but that doesn't give us the authority to think of her as our pawn to hype or berate as and when we feel like. View the full article
  7. Recently, PM Narendra Modi hosted a reception at his residence that was attended by the who's who of Bollywood. From Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez to Kangana Ranaut and Ekta Kapoor, almost every famous celebrity attended the 'Change Within' event, posted selfies and pictures from the party and thanked PM Modi for inviting them. View this post on Instagram Excellent interaction with leading film personalities and cultural icons. A post shared by Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) on Oct 19, 2019 at 9:48am PDT However, there's an interesting backstory that was shared by veteran singer SP Balasubrahmanyam on social media, where he low-key expressed how upset he was with PM Modi for being partial towards the Bollywood celebrities. Singer Balasubrahmanyam was also present at the same event, but he didn't post any pictures from there, nor any selfies with PM Modi. Why? Because his phone and that of a few other guests were taken away by the security personnel and they were given tokens for the same. So, how were the Bollywood celebrities allowed to carry their phones inside? That's exactly the point everyone is raising now. In his post on Facebook, he wrote "I am grateful to Ramoji Raoji, (Eenadu), because of whom I was able to attend a reception hosted by our Hon. Prime Minister at his home on the 29th of Oct. Upon entering the premises, we were asked to leave our cellphones with the security personnel and were given tokens for the same. But I was bewildered at the STARS taking selfies with the PM on that day. THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HMMM????? (sic)" The 'Change Within' event was organised to promote the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi. 8. One of the most successful Indian captains, Sourav Ganguly carved his own niche in the gentleman's game on the back of brutally honest approach. Unlike MS Dhoni, whose tenure as Indian captain rarely saw him expressing himself on the field, Ganguly was not the one to mince words or hide his emotions after an emphatic win. Even when he called time on career, Ganguly didn't change his approach. Often seen in the commentary box, the former Indian captain's honest take and game analysis continued to make him one of the most respected voices in cricket. From being a cricketer, then becoming a commentator and now taking the role of an administrator, Ganguly is now looked upon as an agent of change following his appointment as the new President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). © Twitter/@SGanguly99 Taking up the high-profile position with the BCCI, the 47-year-old has already began fixing the gaping holes in the Indian set-up. He recently held discussions with National Cricket Academy's Chief Rahul Dravid to give new shape to its infrastructure and nurture budding talents in Bangalore. Then, he convinced Virat Kohli & Co. for a day-night Test against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens in a bid to promote the longest format. While his antics in the past few days since his appointment as new BCCI chief has already garnered praise, Ganguly's humility and consideration for Indian cricket fans was recently in full display and struck a chord with everyone on social media. After meeting his former teammate and good friend Dravid at the NCA, Ganguly was spotted at the Bangalore airport where a barrage of fans howled him for photos and autographs. At the check in airport of bangalore .. love of people makes u feel so grateful pic.twitter.com/FDP2fwzg6W — Sourav Ganguly (@SGanguly99) October 30, 2019 But, unlike other celebrities, who seem to avoid large crowds these days, Ganguly obliged the fans with cute airport selfie. After clicking a photo with the fans, Ganguly took to Twitter and shared the picture that was captioned, "At the check in airport of bangalore..love of people makes u feel so grateful". Ganguly's tweet took the social media by storm as Indian cricket fans hailed the new BCCI Chief for his sweet gesture. 9. Football referees are serious business. During the game, if you manage to get a look at their faces, you'd realise that they are even more dialed in than the players and are looking for the minutest of problems to blow that whistle. But in a first, this referee turned out to be the most hilarious and chat-worthy part about a football game. Why? Well, because she showed legendary Brazilian player Kaka a yellow card just so that she could get her phone out and grab a quick selfie with the man. During a charity match for peace in Israel, the former AC Milan and Real Madrid veteran scored with an amazing kick in the 44th minute to help his side of Bralizian legends take a 3-2 lead in the first half. It is at this point that the female referee blew the whistle, got her yellow card out in front of Kaka and brought the game to a standstill. The 2007 Ballon d'Or winner stood there perplexed as to what had happened when the official ran up to him and asked for a selfie, and the 37-year-old couldn't say no. While some of the other big names of the football world also took part in the game with the Brazilian roster boasting names like Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Cafu and Bebeto, it was evident that Kaka was the star showstopper and the crowd had rushed to the stadium just to get a glimpse of the AC Milan Hall of Famer playing the way he once used to. Given the whole vibe of the charity peace game, the rest of the Brazilian players, who can get pretty riled up about co-curricular activities during a game, also went up to the referee and shook hands with her. One can't help but imagine what would happen if one of the Premier League referees tried to pull a stunt like that? View the full article

  11. OnePlus' new OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones are now official. There's a lot to like about the new OnePlus 7 Pro, and you can read all about it in our full review of the phone right here. While most people are excited to see a new triple camera setup and a faster 90Hz display, one of the cool new features that I really like about the phone, is that the pop-up selfie camera can automatically retract itself during a fall. Yes, you read that right. The OnePlus 7 Pro's pop-up camera module, that houses the 16MP selfie shooter, can automatically retract itself when, say, you've dropped the phone while taking a selfie or unlocking it via facial recognition. The company did talk about this feature yesterday during the launch event, but it wasn't until today when I saw the feature in action. Here, check out the video and see the feature in action yourself - DROP TEST WITH THE #OnePlus7Pro! Watch how quickly the pop-up front facing camera retracts to protect it! pic.twitter.com/9EBvN3sphB — iJustine (@ijustine) May 14, 2019 As you can see in the video, the phone uses built-in sensors like an accelerometer and a gyroscope to detect when it's falling. In such cases, if the pop-up selfie camera is in use, then it'll automatically lower itself down and make sure that it's not getting damaged. OnePlus says the pop-up camera module is very durable. Heck, the company even showcased a video at the launch in which the module is seen lifting a block that's 40.2 pounds (22.3 Kgs) heavy. Yes, it appears to be very strong, but a little bit of smartness to protect a mishap from happening doesn't hurt anyone, right It's a simple, yet meaningful use of the device' sensors to protect the hardware features. I am sure there are a ton of other features that are worth noting, but it's little things like this that matter the most when it comes to user experience. Good job, OnePlus!
  12. It's mostly said that one can never escape the long arms of the law, but if you ever try and run away from policeman Jadeep Singh, you won't be able to escape his long legs either! Yes, you read that right. Jagdeep Singh is the tallest policeman in the world and he stands tall at 7ft 6 inches! © Daily Mail Jagdeep is a traffic cop in Amritsar and also a little bit of a local celebrity. Well, of course you'll be a celebrity if you're in a town where you're literally looking down upon people. Jagdeep is so tall, that he got his uniform personally stitched for him and his shoes imported from outside India, as he wears 19 as his shoe size and of course Indian men have average sized feet, ahem. © BCCL Jagdeep has been in the police force for about two decades now and enjoys the attention he gets but also faces a lot of difficulties every now and then due to his height. © BCCL He was quoted by a popular publication saying: “I am very proud of being the tallest policeman in India. I am 7 feet 6 inches tall, I weigh around 190 kilograms and I feel very happy about it. I can't find shoes in my size in India. I have to order them from a different country". He also talked about other difficulties he faces with his clothing and basic life functions: “'There are a lot of problems in my life. I am not able to buy clothes of my size, I can't use a normal washroom. And I have to travel in my own car, I can't take a local bus or cab. They are too small for me. There were also problems in his love life while growing up. I wasn't able to find a girl of my height. Nobody was willing to marry me. People thought I was too tall.” © Pinterest Well, after longing for a partner Jagdeep finally found the love of his life, his wife Sukhbir Singh who is 5 ft 11 inches tall and trust me, that's tall enough to match her 7 ft 6 inches husband! Sukbhir was also quoted by a popular publication saying: “People come and take photos with us, it's great. I don't think there's anyone that's taller than him in India or the entire world,” © Indiatimes I am sure it's a moment of pride for Sukhbir who stands 'tall' by her husband's side, encouraging him to lead a normal yet fascinating life in Amritsar. The couple surely make a great pair and enjoy the celebrity status bestowed upon them in their town. © Pinterest While we think a 7ft 6 inch tall cop is what we need manning our city from crime and other bad things, we're more hopeful about the crime rate in Amrritsar dropping way down because of him. Jagdeep wishes to see his name in the Guinness Book of World Records so that he gains more popularity and we really hope his dream comes true someday!
  13. The unannounced OnePlus 7 is the next flagship smartphone to be released later this year and there has been plenty of speculation in regards to its design. Previous leaks have suggested that the OnePlus 7 will have a brave new design that may include a full-screen design. In order to implement a full-screen design, there are speculations that OnePlus may have to implement a sliding mechanism or a pop-out selfie camera similar to what we have seen on OPPO and Vivo smartphones. (c) Twitter That's the same story being told by renders that were published by Pricebaba and OnLeaks. OnLeaks generally has a good track record of leaks based on renders and it shows that the OnePlus 7 may have a design that might not excite everyone. Personally, we love the pop-out selfie camera as we finally saw the innovation being affordable thanks to the Vivo V15 Pro. It might be possible that may see this design on the OnePlus 7 as well however there are a few drawbacks with this design. (c) PriceBaba The OnePlus 7 already uses an in-display fingerprint sensor and it seems like that the OnePlus 7 will take a page from Vivo's book. It is said to have a 95% screen-to-body ratio which will be a first for any smartphone. Having said that, in order to have a design similar to the Vivo V15 Pro, it would come at the expensive of negligible water resistance and fast facial recognition. The OnePlus 6T's facial recognition capabilities were exceptionally fast however a pop-out selfie camera will naturally delay that process. (c) PriceBaba Apart from a pop-up design, the OnePlus 7 renders also show a vertical triple-camera setup at the rear. It's lined up straight at the middle without a fingerprint scanner to give it a more plush look. OnePlus already removed the headphone jack with the 6T and we can see a similar design choice on the OnePlus 7 as well. Needless to say that these renders are based on leaks and are not what the final outcome may look like. We can only be sure when OnePlus announces the OP7 later this year and see how these design choices may affect the practicality of the smartphone, if true. Source: Pricebaba
  14. Ever since Apple announced the iPhone X with a notch, smartphone companies have rushed to copy the design and even use the same tactic to hide its presence. Apple cleverly uses dark wallpapers by default which basically hides the notch when viewed from far. Samsung also uses similar wallpapers to hide the punch-hole gamer at the front of the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. © Twitter_Matt B However, not everyone needs to hide the cameras, especially when other wallpapers can embrace Samsung's design choice. Twitter users Matt B (@mattcabb) posted a series of wallpapers that basically flaunt the front-facing cameras with unique characters from Futurama and even Jonny 5 from 'Short Circuit'. Other wallpapers include the NASA Mars Rover and a very cute R2-D2 for the Galaxy S10. © Twitter_Matt B You can have a look at the entire thread of Tweets that feature different wallpapers for the Galaxy S10/S10+. However, we do expect these wallpapers to pop up on social media very soon once the smartphone is in the hand of customers. For now, we're just hoping Matt B makes a 'Wall-E' version as well. Nawazuddin Siddiqui--the man who stands as an example of success that comes from unrelenting grit and hard work, also happens to be one of the most sought after actors in the film industry today. Nawazuddin has blessed our screens with some of the most entertaining releases in the last couple of years, right from 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'The Lunchbox', 'Manjhi', 'Mom', 'Manto' and more recently 'Thackeray' which took the entire nation by storm, besides many others. 16. Vivo has been one of the most innovative company in the past year and has been trying to achieve a full-screen experience with its pop-up camera mechanisms. It was first introduced with the Vivo Nex last year and it had features that were not seen in a smartphone before. It had an in-display fingerprint sensor and pop-up selfie camera. We've now seen that tech trickle down to a more affordable smartphone that makes innovation available to everyone. The Vivo 15 Pro packs a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 32-MP pop-up selfie camera. It's the first smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset which strikes a perfect balance between performance and battery conservation. We've been using the smartphone for a while and here's our review of the smartphone. Design And Display © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Vivo has managed to deliver a product that stands apart from anything else you've seen in the market. It has a near bezel-less screen and has a triple camera setup at the back. The camera module protrudes a bit as it houses both the camera sensors and the pop-up camera mechanism. The Vivo V15 Pro comes in two colours i.e. Topaz Blue and Ruby Red and has a plastic body at the back which may not be the best for people who want a premium finish. Vivo also supplies a case with the smartphone which protects the smartphone from scratches and drops and has a strategic cut-out to accommodate the pop-up camera. The smartphone also comes with a dedicated button on the left that can be used for launching Google Assistant. The Vivo V15 Pro also comes with an audio jack and has micro USB port for charging. In terms of display, the Vivo V15 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Display and has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The display itself is similar to what you've seen before however, it has the feature of an in-display fingerprint sensor. The screen itself is vivid with accurate colour representation. The deep blacks are a delight as it accentuates other colours when watching videos. The near bezel-less display is also a delight to use while gaming as we can see more information on the screen and have more real-estate as compared to a smartphone with a notch. The in-display fingerprint sensor has also been improved upon since we first saw it on the Vivo Nex. The sensor is more accurate and faster at unlocking the smartphone. You will need to place your thumb on a specific part of the smartphone that reads fingerprints. Camera The Vivo V15 Pro has a triple camera set up at the rear which consists of a 48MP primary sensor, 5MO depth of field sensor and an 8MP wide angle lens. Having said that, the Vivo V15 Pro basically combines four smaller 0.8μm pixels into one large 1.6μm pixel, effectively giving a final result of 12MP pictures. You can, however, shoot in 48MP by adjusting the resolution from the settings. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The triple camera setup on the Vivo 15 Pro can let the smartphone take portrait shots and even 120-degree wide angle shots to get a bigger perspective in images. The camera has different modes where you can adjust different portrait lighting like you can on iPhones. The rear camera was able to take some awesome shots especially when it came to portraits. It even performed well in night mode which was kind of unexpected. The camera captures the right details without overexposing the images or without any noise. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The selfie camera is also a delight to use even though it may sound like a gimmick at first. The 32-MP selfie camera uses the same method as the primary camera to capture images that are accurate. Selfies were extremely accurate and captured everything we expected. There are some interesting filters and effects you can use for selfies where our favourite was the rainbow effect. The pop-up mechanism works fast and it takes about 0.5 seconds to start. The selfie camera can also be used for the face unlock feature. View this post on Instagram Images shot using the #VivoV15Pro A post shared by Akshay Bhalla (@editorinchief) on Feb 22, 2019 at 1:50am PST Performance When it came to performance, the smartphone exceeded our expectations as it's powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 675 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. It even comes with 128GB of internal storage which is more than enough to store media. The phone runs rather smoothly and we did not face any bugs or lag while trying to use multiple apps at the same time. Having said that, we aren't a big fan of FunTouch which may have caused a few app crashes and glitches. While gaming, we could run PUBG Mobile on the highest settings possible however there were a few noticeable drops in frame rates. In terms of benchmark scores, the Vivo V15 Pro scored 2394 in the single-core stress test whereas it scored 6502 on the multi-core test (Geekbench 4). The Vivo V15 Pro also has a 3,700 mAh battery that can easily last 1.5 days on moderate use. However, when combined with gaming and heavy navigation usage, you can see the battery life drop down to 17 hours. The Final Say The Vivo V15 Pro offers a lot of for Rs 28,990 as it has innovative features and a good camera to back up the price tag. It performed well during the course of our review and offers awesome battery life for a power user. We particularly don't like FunTouch OS however that can be customised according to your liking with a compatible launcher. If you are looking for a smartphone that screams innovation and backs up its claims, the Vivo V15 Pro is a great mid-budget smartphone.
  17. `Last year, Vivo launched the NEX and it was among the first few phones to sport a pop-up camera. The brand was also the first one to bring an in-display fingerprint scanner. Today, Vivo announced its first phone of 2019 in India, the V15 Pro. The V15 Pro brings in all the various trends from 2018, and clubs it into one. Having multiple rear cameras on the rear is the latest trend, and Vivo has decided to join the bandwagon as well. Amazon and Flipkart have been teasing the phone for quite some time now and here's everything you need to know about it. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla It has a glass back with a colour gradient and a notch-less display with smaller bezels. Vivo boasts that it has further cut down the chin, offering a better screen-to-body ratio of 91.6 percent. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla On the front is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It comes with a Snapdragon 675 processor along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. For authentication, it features an in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as face unlock. A dedicated Smart Button activates Google Assistant and the phone also ships with Vivo's Jovi assistant. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The V15 Pro includes a triple rear camera setup consisting of: a 48-megapixel primary sensor with Quad Pixel technology, 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The Quad Pixel technology can combine four pixels into one large pixel to deliver a high-quality 12-megapixel picture. This comes handy in low-light pictures when details tend to get blurry. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The pop-up module houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera and Vivo is confident it's sturdy enough to withstand daily wear and tear. The hardware is assisted by AI Portrait, AI Beauty, and AI Super Night Mode for even better output. The phone ships with Android 9 Pie based Funtouch OS 9 and is backed by a 3700mAh battery. For fast charging, the phone also supports dual-engine charging. Lastly, Game Mode 5.0 ensures better gaming performance by prioritizing resources and slightly overclocks the CPU to reduce frame-drops. It has been priced at Rs 28,990 for the 6GB+128GB and shall be available via all major retailers as well as online sellers starting Feb 20th.
  18. If you thought that Ellen DeGeneres' iconic Oscar selfie is the world's best selfie, then wait till you see Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar and Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty and Rajkummar Rao (and the list just goes on) in one frame. On Thursday, our 'Gully Boy' Ranveer Singh and other Bollywood celebrities and filmmakers met PM Modi and to mark this epic moment, they clicked a selfie that was more epic than their meeting. Excel Entertainment Karan Johar was one of the first few celebrities to post the selfie, with the caption "Powerful and timely conversations can bring about change and this was one of what we hope will become a regular conversation. Meeting the Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi today was an incredible opportunity." He further wrote, "As a community, there is a huge interest to contribute to nation building. There is so much that we want to do. And can do and this dialogue was towards how and what ways we can do that. When the youngest country (in demography) joins hands with the largest movie industry in the world, we hope to be a force to reckon with. Together we would love to inspire and ignite positive changes to a transformative India. The film industry would also like to send a huge thanks for the GST reduction in movie ticket prices that was implemented recently! Thank you so much for your time, Sir!" 19. Back in August 2003, Sir Alex Ferguson and his star-studded Manchester United side were invited to Lisbon to play against Sporting Clube de Portugal, as part of the inauguration of the Estadio Jose Alvalade. For a team of United's stature, their clash against Sporting CP was not really going to be a problem. But, what was supposed to be just another exhibition game, eventually turned out to be the launch pad of one football's greatest ever player. After four successive victories in America, Man United's roadshow came grinding to a halt after they ran into an 18-year-old skinny winger who was hell-bent on cutting a sorry figure for the visitors' defence. That day, Sporting CP secured a 3-1 win over United. And, despite not getting his name on the scoresheet, Cristiano Ronaldo had impressed everyone. Such was his artistry on the pitch that United's players literally begged Ferguson to sign the young winger. Since that day, there has been no turning back for Ronaldo. Signed for 12.24 million pounds, the Portuguese, at the time, became the most expensive teenager in English football history. Donning the iconic No. 7 jersey, Ronaldo's six-year stint with the Red Devils saw him shattering one record after another. Nurtured in the company of father-figure Ferguson, Ronaldo also forged a special bond with Old Trafford and Man Utd fans. © Reuters Thus, when the UEFA Champions League fixtures pitted Juventus against Manchester United in the group stage, all eyes were on Ronaldo and his return to the very ground that played a pivotal role in the rise of one of the modern-day's footballing greats. Manchester United's prodigal son was returning home and you bet, there were moments of nostalgia at Old Trafford. It all began when a pitch invader sprinted on to the turf four minutes into the match. Dressed in jeans and a hoodie, the skinny man charged for the East Stand where players from both teams were congregated. The stewards tried to bring his dream run to an end, but the man wasn't going let anything or anyone come in his way. Possessed with the idea of meeting his idol, the pitch invader dodged two tackles before being brought down by the stewards on the third attempt. While some in the crowd watched in silence, others couldn't help but feel sorry for him. But, Ronaldo knew what was going on. And, without further ado, Ronaldo walked over to the intruder and touched his outstretched hand. And, just like that, the pitch invader's struggle had come to an end; he had got what he wanted. It was a moment that reminded those asking: who was the biggest star of these two European clubs? © Reuters In the sixth minute, Ronaldo turned the clock back with his smart footwork as he turned away from Ashley Young, drawing the first of many fouls in the match. Soon after that, he provided a glimpse of his old pace as he beat the same man to a loose ball. And, then came the moment of brilliance when he set up Paulo Dybala with a brilliant cross - something that Ronaldo is not usually credited for. Starting the game from the left, Ronaldo was given the licence to swap positions with Juan Cuadrado and Dybala. And, it was from the right, that he set up the lone goal of the match in the 17th minute. Though his cross for Dybala's decisive goal was not an assist (that accolade probably goes to Smalling who got some part of his boot on the ball in a bid to deflect it), it was sumptuous all the same - whipped with the pace at neck height, posing uncertainty and delivered to cause maximum damage. He came close to scoring himself through a free-kick late in the first half, forcing David de Gea into an uncertain punched save. But his best strike at goal came in the second half when he drew the very best out of the United goalkeeper with a piledriver of a shot from 18 yards out. © Reuters While many would have felt a bit disappointed with Ronaldo not bagging a goal, it's needless to say that the Portuguese had a great homecoming. He might not have looked like the leader he once was at the same ground, but his performance was just as effective. In his very action, Ronaldo did the right thing, the intelligent thing - often making Smalling look foolish. If Ronaldo's mature performance wasn't enough, the turn of events after the final whistle further highlighted what Man Utd fans mean to the 33-year-old. Having secured a comfortable 1-0 win, Juventus stars were walking into the dressing room. But, not Ronaldo. The Portuguese was the last man to head into the tunnel, not before the Old Trafford crowd witnessed his humility. Right after the game, two more pitch invaders stormed to the playing field. Unlike the first invader, these two were more interested in selfies. Once again, the stewards interceded and again Ronaldo intervened. Taking a phone from one of the young men, Ronaldo struck a pose with them to make sure their wild sprint on the pitch was worth it. © Reuters Taking notice of his humility, the stadium erupted in joy as Ronaldo was cheered off by all sides of Old Trafford. Touched by the reception, Ronaldo, too, obliged, clapping and touching his chest to show what their applause meant to him. For a man who returned to his old home with a rape allegation, Ronaldo barely seemed like he cared what people thought of him. His performance was more of a story of maturity and, believe it or not, teamwork. He misplaced only three of his 35 passes in the game, helped retain possession with the ball and ran the channels willingly without it. So, rather than blaming Ronaldo for shooting blanks at Old Trafford on his return, let's laud this Phenom for the magic he recreated at his old home.

  21. On days when Priyanka Chopra is not chilling with Nick Jonas, she is busy making headlines for the same and for the decisions she takes in her professional life. People still haven't stopped talking about her sudden exit from Salman Khan's 'Bharat' or why her movie with Chris Pratt has been delayed for an indefinite time. Instagram However, in all these years or since the time people started following her on social media, her fans have never seen her workout pictures or videos. So what's the secret behind her fitness? I am sure there's no magical fountain she is secretly sipping from. It's obvious that she works hard to be healthy and fit and her latest gym selfie is proof of the same. Recently, Priyanka suprised her 26 million fans with a gym selfie with the caption, "In between sets..#selfies#trainingday." Being the prankster that Ranveer is, he couldn't stop himself from making the most out of this golden opportunity. He wrote, "PC working out? I have seen everything. What are you eating post workout? Chivda?" Now that sounds like a legit question, doesn't it? Instagram Priyanka Chopra was quick to reply to his comment, "Nahi yaar! I have learned focus and dedication from you!" Honestly, we are in love with this funny banter that's going on between the two. Instagram While everyone including us, her friends and stylist were shocked to see this selfie, it sure is a great motivation for those trying to get a perfect summer body, for 2019 since 2018 is almost over.
  22. Hardik Pandya needs no introduction. He is one of the best players in the Indian cricket team and an all-rounder both on-field and off the field. Team India's livewire, Pandya is someone who plays hard and parties harder. His fashion game is as strong as the helicopter shot he played against Ireland last month. Pandya is possibly the best company you can ask for on a boring flight. At least his teammates think so ever since the video of his funny interview session with the Indian cricket team surfaced. But, if there's anything that speaks louder than Pandya's bat, it's probably his link-up rumours with actress Elli AvrRam that started circulating when Elli attended Hardik's brother Krunal's wedding. © Twitter When it comes to love, Bollywood and Cricket are like Bread and Butter - the best combination ever. And after Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan; Hardik Pandya too found his name in this list, although nothing is confirmed. However, after Hardik's latest post we guess people will forget about Elli AvrRam because he has a new person in his life, who is also his 'No. 1 love'. Now, before you jump to any conclusion, let me tell you this is someone we all know and love, but not more than how much Deepika Pallikal Karthik does. Their bromance is nothing new, and time and again Karthik and Pandya have expressed their friendship for each other. Earlier, on Gaurav Kapoor's popular show 'Breakfast with Champions' Karthik had said, "I spend a lot of time with Hardik and KL [Rahul]. First time we played together as a team was in Champions Trophy last year. He observed me initially but we didn't talk. Just exchanged pleasantries." He further added, "One day I was just in the gym and he comes to me and says, 'You're not that bad a guy. Everybody said you're a horrible guy but I think you're a decent guy.' And that's how it all started from there."

Team India will be seen locking horns with Ireland in two T20Is before taking on the gritty English side in three T20Is, three ODIs and five Tests. New Zealanders Martin Guptill (2,271 runs) and Brendon McCullum (2,140) are currently at the top two spots, while Pakistani middle-order batsman Shoaib Malik (1,989 runs) follows the duo at third.
  25. Vivo NEX is the first smartphone to feature a pop-up selfie camera, followed by the OPPO Find X. This is a completely new design, while OPPO has previously experimented with a rotating camera, OEMs have usually tried to distance themselves from such designs as moving parts in a mobile phone are difficult to implement and drastically reduce the sturdiness. Folks at MyFixGuide have posted a teardown, showing off all the inner components of the Vivo NEX S., At first sight, it is clearly evident that it doesn't rely on a simple spring-loaded mechanism, but instead, the motor spins a spiral-shaped gear that raises the platform up and down. With each up and down, a ribbon cable that connects the camera delicately folds and unfolds. Vivo also removed the earpiece and replaced it with a vibration motor that helps project sound at the top of the display when you are on a phone call. Technically, it is a piezoelectric speaker system which replaces the conventional earpiece because there isn't space for one due to the edge to edge display. The Xiaomi Mi MIX also uses piezoelectric ceramics for the same purpose. They work the same way, just using different materials. © MyFixGuide The entire setup seems to be neatly implemented and it is also very compact which gives the phone a slim look. However, as mentioned above, mechanical parts are just going to deteriorate over time. It is too soon to say how the motor will fare with constant use of the selfie shooter, only time will tell how reliable these design elements are. © MyFixGuide The Vivo NEX was announced earlier this month and has been making headlines thanks to its unique design. Not only does it feature the complex pop-up camera mechanism but also has a high 90% screen-to-body ratio. The Vivo Nex S is a premium model, however, there is another cheaper NEX A model available as well. The NEX S features a Snapdragon 845 SoC, 8GB RAM, up to 256GB inbuilt storage, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The NEX A sports the Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB RAM, 128GB inbuilt storage, and uses a rear fingerprint sensor instead of the in-display one. Source: MyFixGuide
