  1. Shahid Kapoor is back on the circuit with his next adventure 'Kabir Singh' which is a remake of the original Telugu hit 'Arjun Reddy'. The movie is helmed by ace director Sandeep Vanga who is also the man behind the original movie. The movie follows the story of a man who chooses the path of self-destruction after the woman he loves marries another man. © T Series In the teaser, you get to see a glimpse of Shahid from his performances in 'Kaminey' and 'Udta Punjab'. Clearly, there's no second guessing Shahid's capacity to take on the role of an intense, powerful, young, disturbed and an angry man. This time, once again, he doesn't disappoint us at all. In fact, the one-minute teaser makes us believe that the movie will be a super hit. Kiara Advani plays his love interest and the movie will hit the theatres in June this year. Can't wait for the full trailer now.
  2.   After going through a bitter divorce through a Caucasian wife, U.K.-based Hussain Shah now lives in a common-law relationship with another Caucasian woman. Angered that his daughter, Mary, is dating a Caucasian male, Dave, he counsels her to stop seeing him as it is forbidden for women to marry outside Islam. But when Mary persists, he relents and permits her to marry, provided she travels with him to Lahore, Pakistan, to meet his estranged mother and brother, to which she agrees. Once there, Mary is then taken to a remote area in Afghanistan and forced to marry her cousin, Sarmad Khan, a singing artiste, who has turned conservative after being influenced by Moulana Tahiri. Sarmad's brother, Mansoor, re-locates to Chicago, to enroll for music lessons with Professor Lincoln, meets with Caucasian fellow-student, Janie, and both fall in love with each other. Than the events of 9-11 will result in Mansoor's arrest by the CIA. He is isolated, humiliated, fed pork, tortured endlessly until ... Shaan Shahid, Fawad Khan, Iman Ali
  3. Once a unified nation, India and Pakistan have gone on to become arch-rivals following the hurtful partition in 1947. Since then, the cross-border tensions, political differences and the prolonged issue of Kashmir have all fuelled the rivalry between the two neighbouring countries. However, despite the differences in opinion on numerous matters between India and Pakistan, the cricketers from both the countries share mutual respect and admiration. Virat Kohli was probably the first individual to praise Mohammad Amir after he returned to cricket following his match-fixing saga. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also sent a signed Team India jersey to Shahid Afridi upon his retirement from cricket. Then, Afridi struck a chord with Indian fans after showing respect to the tri-colour during an ice cricket tournament in Switzerland. But, it seems times have changed. © AP The dastardly Pulawama attack that claimed the lives of more than 40 CRPF personnel has got everyone on the edge with the ties between the two nations reaching an all-time low. The suicide terror strike carried out by Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) has enraged India and its citizens who are now calling for a complete boycott of Pakistan. And, amid all the backlash, Afridi did his reputation no good after he was seen spewing venom on India during an interview on a Pakistani news channel. Lauding Pakistan PM Imran Khan's recent statements, Afridi blamed India for targeting Pakistan under the garb of the Pulwama attack without any proof. Pakistani Cricket Star @SAfridiOfficial endorsing the message of @ImranKhanPTI sent to India through a speech and saying Pakistan want friendly relations with all neighbours “Indians should behave like a well educated nation” watch tonight in #CapitalTalk on Geo News at 8 PST pic.twitter.com/2PxkesHmzq — Hamid Mir (@HamidMirPAK) February 20, 2019 "Without any proof they are putting all the blame onto Pakistan straight away. PM Imran Khan has once again spoken on this matter in a positive & clear way to explain that Pakistan wants to have good relations with not only India, but also Afghanistan, Iran & China," Afridi was heard saying on the show. In the wake of the ghastly attack, IMG Reliance recently pulled out as the main broadcaster of the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) which is currently in progress. Reacting to that, Afridi once again took a dig at India by claiming that educated people don't behave in this manner. "You find out who your friends are at difficult times. What are they trying to show the world that they are educated? Educated people don't behave in such a manner," Afridi said. While the Indian government has already taken measures to isolate Pakistan, the BCCI is also mulling the idea of boycotting Pakistan at the ICC World Cup in England & Wales, later this year. Amidst all that, Afridi, rather than behaving like an ideal sports icon, has got Indian fans up in arms. 4. Ranveer Singh is, well, 'not regular', when it comes to his fashion choices. This bit everyone knows and he has done everything he possibly could, to reiterate this point over and over again. However, his 'Gully Boy' promotions have been on a whole new level altogether, where he has outdone himself. Right from wearing a unicorn jacket to wearing the most bizarrely unusual outfits ever, Baba has been on a roll. © Instagram © Instagram/Ranveersingh However, just when all eyes were on Ranveer, his 'Padmaavat' nemesis Shahid Kapoor just stepped out wearing something that looks like he's finally caught the 'Ranveer Singh Fashion Virus'. In a fashion move that is distinctly unlike his own, Shahid wore a jacket that looks like it legit belongs to Ranveer Singh's wardrobe. Take a look. © Instagram © Instagram/_trill_india Designed by Trill, Shahid's black jacket with red detailing is an exquisite piece that helped him turn heads at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards. The shimmery piece along with his choice of striped shades just unveiled a wild side of him that we were unaware of. © Viral Bhayani © Instagram/_trill_india Well, with Shahid joining the crazy fashion cult, things are about to get a whole lot spicier. We can't wait!
  5. In the sixth episode of 'Koffee With Karan 6', Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar teamed up against Janhvi Kapoor and questioned her (in a friendly banter) about the rumours related to her dating her 'Dhadak' co-star, Ishaan Khatter. Fast forward to episode 13 and there was a new pair of siblings sitting on the Koffee couch, but the question remained the same - is Janhvi Kapoor dating Ishaan Khatter? And it looked like Shahid and his younger brother Ishaan had their answers ready this time. View this post on Instagram Ishaan's audience analysis. What was your reaction to Dhadak? #KoffeeWithKaran #KoffeeWithIshaan #KoffeeWithShahid A post shared by Star World (@starworldindia) on Jan 13, 2019 at 8:01am PST Earlier, Arjun Kapoor had said that Ishaan constantly keeps buzzing around Janhvi and the clip of the same was shown during this episode. To this, Shahid quipped "I don't know how often Arjun is around Janhvi to know how much Ishaan is buzzing around her. I wonder. Because I mean, are they around each other a lot? For him to have so much detail into your buzzing. Or is he assuming that? Based on the basis of how much Janhvi talks about you or that he hears about it?" We wonder what Arjun has to say about it. View this post on Instagram Brothers. Actors. Heartthrobs. Hold on to your hearts as @shahidkapoor and @ishaan95 come over for some Koffee, next week. #KoffeeWithKaran #KoffeeWithShahid #KoffeeWithIshaan A post shared by Star World (@starworldindia) on Jan 6, 2019 at 9:13am PST Shahid further added in Ishaan's defence, "Ishaan is buzzing around most people. So, it's not that as if, it's you know, Janhvi is not special like that. Okay? She should know this. Janhvi, he buzzes around a lot of people and it started many years ago with his mother and with me and now you're one of those people he buzzes around, so he's a buzzy guy." In case, you didn't notice, Ishaan whispers 'I am sorry' to the camera, we don't know who it was meant for. While both brothers continued to argue about the rumours of Ishaan and Janhvi dating each other, Ishaan had a response to what the two do when they are together. "We go to the gym together, listen to music, whole lot of south Indian music which is not my choice but I have grown to like it, watch movies and eat food," he said. View this post on Instagram Potato. Pot-AH-to. What's in a (caller) name? #KoffeeWithKaran #KoffeeWithShahid #KoffeeWithIshaan A post shared by Star World (@starworldindia) on Jan 6, 2019 at 8:42am PST This was Ishaan's debut on 'Koffee With Karan', but Shahid can be considered a veteran as he has already been on the show five times. Shahid might be a pro, but he said that this was an emotional experience for him as this was the first time that he made a public appearance with Ishaan. And the brothers brought the house down with their unconditional love for each other and mutual admiration for their work. 'Koffee With Karan 6' airs every Sunday on Star World at 9 PM.
  6. Ishaan Khatter made an impressive entry with 'Dhadak', and even though the movie couldn't keep up with its original Marathi version, everyone was convinced about Ishaan's acting prowess. Ever since his entry, it was expected that he would be compared with his big brother Shahid Kapoor, and let's just say he was. However, acting was not the only area where the young lad made his bro proud. When it comes to fashion, he proved that he is as gutsy and comfortable in his choices as Shahid, and here are 4 instances where we saw that. 1. This striped suit paired with a smart white shirt is everything a fashionable gentleman is all about. Can it get classier than this? (c) Instagram/ishaan95 2. This unusual blazer along with the pinstriped trousers made for a super statement outfit. He wore it for the Koffee episode with Shahid, and proved his fashion mettle on the couch. (c) Instagram/ishaan95 3. The bold checks along with the blue turtleneck and the smoulder - let's just say swag status - Checked! (c) Instagram/ishaan95 4. The red and blue aesthetic, despite having some strong colours, is unexpectedly demure, and we're loving it! (c) Instagram/ishaan95 Way to go, Ishaan!
  7. Shahid Kapoor doesn't care what people think. Why do we think so? He just went ahead and - wait for it - shaved his beard off. The same beard he has been keeping for years, the one that saw him through some of the biggest hits of his career. Now one might think it's just a shave, and what's the big deal? Let us answer that question in three points. Here are three reasons why we think Shahid Kapoor going for a clean shave abruptly is the gutsiest grooming move of 2018. 1. It takes guts to shave your beard off in the month of November. When the entire world is obsessed with feeding their insta feeds with #NoShaveNovember and #Movember, for a mainstream Bollywood actor to go ahead and pull the ultimate stunt is nothing short of gutsy. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Nov 26, 2018 at 6:21pm PST 2. Shahid has done it for a role (in case you hadn't guessed it already). He is playing the lead in 'Kabir Singh', the Hindi remake of superhit Telugu movie 'Arjun Reddy'. Such transformations yield really good results, we must say. Remember Aamir Khan's cult hairstyle for 'Ghajini'? © Viral Bhayani 3. Shahid seems to have shaved 10 years off his age along with the beard. Usually, getting rid of one's beard can be an extremely risky move, but Shahid clearly knows what he's doing - a least as far as his latest pictures without the beard goes. He looks just like he did when he started off his career in Bollywood. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Nov 25, 2018 at 8:00am PST View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Nov 24, 2018 at 8:28am PST This man right here has two children. Say what?! © Viral Bhayani All that matters is that he looks great even without the beard, and we're totally digging this new look.
  8. The latest season of Koffee With Karan is perhaps the most special of them all, because in no other season, so many new faces were introduced. From Sara to Jahnvi to Ishaan, the next crop of Bollywood stars are all here, and everyone is excited. Ishaan Khattar just shot for KWK along with elder brother Shahid Kapoor, and the pictures are out. We have always maintained that Shahid and Ishaan are one good-looking pair of siblings, but our belief just got a solid footing with their latest pictures from the show. Take a look. © Instagram/shahidkapoor Don't they look amazing? We're digging the plaid and striped coordinated aesthetic. This is perhaps the most fashionable Ishaan has ever looked. The bold double breasted jacket with a statement hem paired with those black and white pants with vertical stripes are doing wonders for his lean frame. © Instagram/ishaan95 However, Shahid clearly is not ready to give up his throne yet, when it comes to being the definitive fashion superstar of B-Town. He wore a layered outfit with plaid detailing and patchwork, that definitely was more than enough to retain the spot. © Instagram/shahidkapoor KJo, of course, couldn't be far behind in that game, now could he? He was all dapper in a black Gucci jacket with gold trimmings. Plus those golden rimmed glasses - let's just say Karan sure can clean up well when he wants to. © Instagram/shahidkapoor All we can say is we love how fashion is getting redefined every single day in Bollywood. Looking good, boys!
  9. Ripped jeans are revolutionary, irrespective of how upset it makes our 'sanskaari' parents. Do you realize, you never have to throw away your jeans, ever again? They can be torn, tattered, ripped to smithereens - but every new tear only adds on to the edge in your style game. However, one needs to know how to style them well, in order to avoid looking shabby. Keeping that in mind, we have found one man who really knows how to style a pair of ripped jeans in the classiest way possible. Shahid Kapoor clearly loves his ripped jeans, and here are 9 ways he has styled them that we love. 1. If you have a jacket or a statement outerwear that will only add to the edgy sophistication of a pair of ripped jeans, embrace it. Look at Shahid going for it with that statement piece with huge lapels. © Instagram 2. A pair of ripped jeans can even make a simple outfit look great. Look at Shahid pairing it with a classy full-sleeve T-shirt and high top sneakers. We love the neckpiece. © Instagram © Instagram 3. A simple shirt can also be paired with a pair of jeans with prominent rips, as long as it is not a 'formal shirt' with a regular collar. © Instagram © Twitter 4. You can pair an oversized shirt with a T-shirt underneath with your ripped jeans. For a street twist, undo all the buttons of the shirt, barring the top ones. © Twitter 5. Parent-friendly looks are also possible with ripped jeans, provided the rips aren't too prominent and you pair them with classy T-shirts and sneakers. © Instagram 6. Ripped jeans can be a replacement for your sweatpants for a comfortable, casual look. Pair them with a nice sweatshirt, and wear a pair of statement sneakers. © Instagram 7. Ripped jeans can transform an otherwise 'basic' outfit into one with a lot of edge and character. Shahid's layered outfit is all about those knee rips. © Twitter 8. An all-black, layered airport look can be made to look like a rockstar-inspired outfit with a pair of ripped jeans. Accessorize right, and your style game will be on point. © Twitter 9. Asymmetrical silhouettes and edgy kurtas pair very well with ripped jeans. Simple, but super classy! © Instagram
  10. Vertical stripes should be a staple in every man's wardrobe. Why we think so? Shahid Kapoor has been religiously wearing them for the promotion of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', and not only do we think he has never looked better, we also decoded a few style lessons from those outfits. Read on! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani When Shahid Kapoor stepped out in kickass outfits by Sahil Aneja and Kunal Rawal, not only did we marvel at the classy elegance of the ensembles, we also couldn't get over the fact that they were extremely wearable despite being impressively fashion-forward. Now, coming to why we think the inclusion of vertical stripes are a win-win: 1. Vertical stripes are all about the illusion of height. They make you look taller than you are, and who has ever complained about a little bit of extra height, even if you don't need it? © Viral Bhayani 2. Vertical stripes make you look slimmer. If you're not extremely skinny, go for it, by all means. Vertical stripes will definitely make you look trimmer than you actually are, and make you look fitter. © Viral Bhayani 3. The best thing about vertical stripes is that, they are extremely versatile. You can wear them for casual, as well as formal occasions, and they will never look out of place. For formal meetings, a well-fitted vertical striped shirt paired with solid trousers work the best. For casual affairs, you can take a leaf out of Shahid's style book right here and go for striped overalls for that edgy yet supremely functional outfit.
  11. By now, I'm not even surprised that the internet can make a meme out of anything, and I mean anything. There are so many things online that you know are destined to make people laugh after becoming a hilarious meme, but people have now started finding jokes in the most unexpected places as well. For example, take this song – The original song 'Sochta Hoon Ke' is already a popular Sufi track by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and it was recently reworked for the movie 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The new version is now called 'Dekhte Dekhte' and is sung by Atif Aslam, with the video featuring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. If you have listened to the song, you would know it's not your typical meme material, but don't worry, the people on the internet are very resourceful when it comes to jokes. This is the last thing you would expect to become a meme, but here we are, this is exactly why I love the internet! People took the line 'sochta hu ke vo kitne masoom the, kya se kya ho gaye dekhte dekhte' from the song and ran with it. Here are some of the funniest results. How time flies. 12. One of the biggest stars in B-town, Shahid Kapoor has not only established himself as being an A-grade actor (with 'Udta Punjab' and 'Haider' reflecting his acting prowess and diversity), but he's also become somewhat of a fashion star - what with his recent appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week being yet another example of his exemplary fashion game. But it's not just his clothes that have been grabbing everyone's attention lately, it's also his beard. Shahid's facial scruff has become all the rage these days, and all it takes is just one look at his beard and mooch game to realize just why that is the case. © Official Instagram/ Shahid Kapoor As such, it goes without saying that most of you out there would want to get a beard just like Rawal Ratan Singh's. 13. Considering some of the biggest and most successful movies in Bollywood are based on those, we can say one thing for sure – you can almost never go wrong with a biopic of an inspiring person. Some of the biggest actors in the film industry have tried their best in bringing someone else's life story on the big screen and now Shahid Kapoor is also all set to join the league of Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra among others and portray the boxing legend Dingko Singh in a biopic. Ngangom Dingko Singh, or better known as just Dingko Singh is a former boxing champ and Asian Games gold medallist from Manipur. He was also the first and only Asian gold medallist boxer from India in the Bantamweight category. Moreover, for all of his achievements for the country, he was also awarded the prestigious Padma Shri in 2013. Dingko has become an inspiration for so many boxers and people aspiring to excel at the sport and he's so passionate about the sport, he went on to become a coach for young boxers. Well, looks like it was about time he got his very own well-deserved biopic. © Twitter This seems like such an important and ambitious project, Shahid Kapoor definitely has his work cut out for him. Talking about the movie, the actor said, “The thing that I loved about this story is that he is one of those superstars who we don't know much about. If a film like Dangal (2016) wasn't made, we wouldn't know as much about the Phogat sisters. Dingko is a cancer survivor, and he went through 13 rounds of chemotherapy. He has even gone on to say that his biggest win was surviving cancer and not the gold medal he won at the age of 19 at the 1998 Asian Games in Bangkok.” Shahid already looks very excited for his next big film and has nothing but respect for the inspiring story of a hero not a lot of people know about. He went on, “In 2017, Gautam Gambhir became aware of his situation and sent money for his treatment. Soon, people found out who he was, and 13 doctors came forward to help him. He is a sports star who survived cancer. At some point in his past, he had almost become a Naxalite. His life story is unbelievably crazy; it is very human and extremely inspiring. Such amazing stories of heroes need to be told.” The Dingko Singh biopic is all set to come out next year and is expected to release in September 2019. No offence to Shahid Kapoor, but the only question I have about this casting is why couldn't they find a north-eastern actor to portray a north-eastern person? There needs to be representation for everyone but looks like they're missing the mark again, just like Bollywood did with Mary Kom when Priyanka Chopra was cast to play her. © Twitter Well, I'm not surprised but just disappointed. Let's just wait till Bollywood will finally start recognizing talented people from the entire country, don't know when that will happen though. Recently, the internet came together to stop Scarlett Johansson from portraying a transgender person in movie, and she ultimately walked out of the project. The change has started happening in Hollywood, so hopefully Bollywood will also follow soon.
  14. One of the most enigmatic players of the cricketing world, Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi has impressed his fans both on and off the field. He joined Pakistan's ODI squad as a mere 16-year-old and went on to strike a 37-ball century in the very second ODI of his cricket career, when he played against Sri Lanka in 1996. © Reuters Known to have been a crowd-puller with his sensational batting skills, he provided consistent entertainment and performance that made him an instant hit amongst the crowd as Boom Boom Afridi and now we know how he got the name! © Reuters With an on-field vigour coupled with a reckless streak, Afridi popularly came to be known as 'Boom Boom Afridi' who could dismantle the opposition's bowling attacks with his hard-hitting sixes. We've seen him charge through the game and been impressed by his calibre to completely decimate his opponents with a scorecard of gigantic 351 sixes in 398 ODIs and 73 sixes in just 99 T20Is! Super impressive, we say. © Reuters But if like us, you've always wonder how he came to be known as 'Boom Boom Afridi', then your wait is over, because all the insider deets have been revealed. In a recent interaction with his fans on Twitter, a fan asked him who had christened him 'Boom Boom Afridi': #AskLala who gave you the title #BoomBoomð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ð¥ — Talha Attiqueð¥ (@Ch_Talha10) August 26, 2018 And Afridi responded to his fan with this: Ravi Shastri — Shahid Afridi (@SAfridiOfficial) August 26, 2018 Before donning the hat of India's chief coach, Ravi Shastri had been an established cricket commentator. However, his current role has kept him away from the commentary box but we presume it must have been during one of his stints as a commentator that Ravi Shastri decided to nickname Afridi so. © Reuters It's great to finally know how he got the name and now we can put the nagging question to rest with this exposé from the man himself.
  15. Shahid Kapoor pretty much ticks off all the checkboxes, when it comes to a 'complete package' in terms of a Bollywood 'hero'. Be it acting, dancing skills, fitness, or good looks, Shahid aces it all. One area in which he has especially impressed us recently, is his style game. Shahid has been experimenting a lot with what he wears, and honestly, he nails it every time. The latest instance was his recent appearance in an all-white streetstyle outfit, in which he incorporated a - wait for it - white kurta. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani What bowled us over, however, is the pair of jeans he wore with it. They have to be hands down the strangest pair of jeans we have seen in Bollywood. The best thing about the pair is that they confuse you and play with your head. © Viral Bhayani Are they a pair of jeans? Or a kurta with a couple of cool vertical stripes? Or just a pair of white track pants? It's not until you see the rips and the distressed pattern that you can realise that they are, in fact, probably the coolest pair of jeans you've seen! © Viral Bhayani Coming to labels, Shahid is wearing a white kurta and a shirt jacket (shacket, if we may), by designer Kunal Rawal. The jeans we can't get over is from Embellish. © Viral Bhayani Shahid's shoe and accessory game is also absolutely on point. He's wearing a dope pair of black and white sneakers by Dong-Jun Kang, and statement sunnies by Irresistor. Stylist Anisha Jain clearly is on top of her game, we must say. © Viral Bhayani What we love about the outfit is that it's deceivingly simple, yet extremely eye-catching while being sophisticated. Who knew streetstyle could turn out this elegant? Well, now we know!
  16. Imagine reaching home after a tiring day at work and your landlord hands you the electricity bill. You look at the bill and you can feel the ground beneath your feet shaking. Why? Because the electricity bill is not in hundreds or thousands, but in several lakhs and you clearly did not see it coming with your greasy glasses. T-Series This is a major problem which our protagonists will fight against for the most part of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', a movie that explores the issue of power or electricity theft like no one else. If you follow Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam on social media, then you must have already come across the posters and regular updates about this movie. Unfortunately, the trailer that released today is like a fused bulb, which did not create the kind of magic we expected from the makers of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. T-Series After giving us a movie like 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', a brilliant take on the problem of open defecation, our expectations were high from 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. However, keeping the weird accent and forced humour aside, the trailer had some good moments from the film's cast - Shahid, Shraddha, Yami and Divyendu Sharma. T-Series Set in the backdrop of a small town in Uttrakhand, the trailer stars Shahid, an advocate by profession, as a carefree person who doesn't care about the problem of power-cuts. In fact, he's made ways with the darkness in his town and starts romanticising with the problem, until his friend (Divyendu Sharma) decides to open a factory and soon gets slapped with an electricity bill of several lakhs. Under the pressure of being unable to pay the monstrous bill, his friend commits suicide and Shahid decides to drag the electricity company to the court and teach them a lesson. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is releasing on September 21.
  17. Just like India and Pakistan, Gautam Gambhir and Shahid Afridi share a rivalry like no other in international cricket. No one can possibly forget their explosive on-field exchange which had set the tempers soaring during the 3rd ODI between India and Pakistan at Kanpur in 2007. While Gambhir is potentially out of contention of making the Team India cut, Afridi has already called time on his career. But, despite being away from international cricket, their rivalry transcended off the field after the former Pakistani cricketer publicly claimed that he will never be seen hanging out with the Delhi opener. The present-day scenario is no different and there is no love lost between the two cricketers. On 3 April, when Afridi was battling serious backlash from the Indians following his insensitive comments on the ongoing dispute in Kashmir, the Delhi Daredevils (DD) captain wasted no time in taking a pot shot at his old nemesis. Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What's there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!! — Gautam Gambhir (@GautamGambhir) April 3, 2018 Taking to Twitter, Gambhir wrote: "Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed? — Shahid Afridi (@SAfridiOfficial) April 3, 2018 Earlier in the day, Afridi became the subject of immense criticism for his insensitive tweet about Kashmir where he labelled Indian army as an "oppressive regime". "Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?," he tweeted. Afridi's tweet was in reference to the series of counter-insurgency operations in three different areas of South Kashmir on Sunday. Indian armed forces handed a major setback to the terror groups in the Valley. A total of 12 terrorists were gunned down in what turned out to be one of the biggest counter-offensives against terrorist outfits in recent times in Kashmir. The operations rendered a severe blow to terror groups such as Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba, but it sadly came at a cost of five lives. Two civilians and three Army jawans lost their lives during the gruelling operations. While the details on how or why the two civilians were killed isn't revealed, the demise of the three Army soldiers once again highlighted the never-ending sacrifices they make to keep us safe.

  20. Prints on shirts are everywhere this season- stripes, checks, florals or even a camouflage; the number of variants are endless. And honestly, we thought we had them all covered! Until Shahid Kapoor cited that we were missing out on a goldmine of an Indian print — Ikat — that he's currently obsessing over a lot. Snapped on the sets of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' with Shraddha Kapoor, Shahid lately, has been seen wearing colourful Ikat printed shirts and all we'd like to proclaim is, you must own a few pairs too. Here are 5 Ikat print shirts (as seen on Shahid), and tips on how you too, can wear them with ease: 1. A Little (Desi) Street Style, Maybe? fan clicks @shahidkapoor snapped with kids in New Tehri ï¸ #ShahidKapoor #Shanatics #BattiGulMeterChalu A post shared by Shahid Kapoor Online.Net (@shahidk_online) on Jun 7, 2018 at 8:52pm PDT Shooting in Uttarakhand, we snapped Shahid in an earthy version of an Ikat print shirt, paired with a blue plaid cut-sleeve jacket. He rolled up the sleeves neatly and styled them with a pair of jeans. We'd say, the beauty of earthy colours is that you can easily pair them with anything: light wash jeans, dark wash to even a pair of ripped jeans. Bring the outfit to a close with juttis/kolhapuris, for some desi street-style vibes. 2. How To Wear Ikat To Work! Yeah its going to be awesome #BattiGulMeterChalu #shahidkapoor A post shared by JK's meme page (@sarcastic.joker) on Jun 14, 2018 at 4:44am PDT In yet another earthy tone, Shahid was snapped along with his director and choreographer in a khaki green (with small white and yellow tones) ikat print shirt. And though, Kapoor's paired the shirt with an ethnic jacket, we'd say: this shirt can be worn under a brown suit (single-breasted or double), with solid-coloured trousers and a pair of brown half-brogues for a more corporate demeanor. Let your shirt be the hero! 3. For A Day Out? #morningvibes be like #battigulmeterchalu A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Jun 10, 2018 at 10:27pm PDT Truth be told, this is the perfect version of an Ikat print for men who're not that tall. This variant of the print will lend a top to bottom view to your body, ensuring you're able to cast the illusion of an extended length. And though, we love how Shahid has topped his kurta with a blue shirt (with a quick overlap of a roll-up on the sleeves), one can easily replace it with a denim shirt, jeans (or even shorts in summer) and white sneakers. Perfect for a day out! 4. Date Nights Are Sacred Too! Our dashing and very handsome @shahidkapoor ï¸ clicked with a Unit member #BattiGulMeterChalu : #ShahidKapoorFc #SKFC #ShahidKapoor A post shared by Shahid Kapoor's Army (@shahidkapoorsarmy) on May 23, 2018 at 10:06am PDT Just recently, Shahid wore a light blue and white Ikat print shirt with black jeans and a black Indian jacket. Notice how the shirt fits him perfectly (it's enhancing his biceps) and hence, we'd suggest you wear this for a date night. Don't the women love the guns, after all? Pair with white/black chinos and slip-ons to appear not-trying-too-hard. 5. Pink For Men? Hell Yeah! That innocent face @shahidkapoor . . . . . . . . . . . #shahidkapoor #heartthrob #sexiestasianman #Battigulmeterchalu #ShahidAsArjunReddy #shahidcafe A post shared by ShanaticGirls(mOnii & Sanu) (@shahidcafe) on Jun 9, 2018 at 10:17pm PDT Let's admit: pink deserves a place in every guy's wardrobe. So, why not opt for a pink Ikat print shirt?. Notice how he's paired it with a green hooded jacket, that's very modern-Indian in its own manner. Following the same colour palette, wear a pink Ikat shirt with a pair of khaki shorts for your next Sunday brunch!
