  1. When it comes to redemption in the domain of style, no one in Bollywood quite had it as successfully as a certain Mr Suniel Shetty. From shabby, ill-fitting clothes during the '90s to being the picture of suavity currently, at the age of 57 (what?), his style game has only improved with age - just like fine wine. What sets him apart from the crowd is his versatility, especially his comfort with pulling off traditional Indian wear as nonchalantly as athleisure. The way he pulls off a dhoti like it's no big deal, is one for the books, and here are 8 times he wore it, rocked it, and showed it why it needs to come back to our wardrobes immediately. 1. When he wore it with a smart black sherwani and paired it with a pocket square and black leather jootis. © Viral Bhayani 2. When he went for the most basic but most sophisticated outfit ever - the white dhoti with a white kurta. © Viral Bhayani 3. When he added a classy twist to the all-white dhoti kurta combo with a blue bandhgala waistcoat. © Instagram 4. A grey dhoti with a black border? Yes, please! © Twitter/SunielShetty_FC 5. 2. Apparently Bollywood looked at the incredible Marvel Cinematic Universe and said, “I want some of that”. But, who needs superheroes when you have cops? Rohit Shetty is obviously THE guy who makes cop movies in Bollywood and has made three box office hits and 100 crore club movies with 'Singham', 'Singham Returns', and 'Simmba'. Now, he wants to tie all of the movies together in one Cinematic Universe and he has already started that process with Akshay Kumar's cameo in 'Simmba' as a way to introduce his character Veer Sooryavanshi for his own upcoming movie. Much like MCU's 'Captain Marvel', Rohit Shetty now also wants to have a female cop added to his 'Singham Cinematic Universe' after the release of 'Sooryanvanshi' starring Akshay Kumar. During a panel discussion at the FICCI Frames 2019, he said, “Soon we will be making it. We have a story in mind. We will do it definitely. We will take a year or so but we plan to do that to complete the universe.” He went on to explain his inspiration behind this cinematic universe, which was obviously Marvel. He also added that big-budget superhero movies are not really a possibility in the Hindi film industry at the moment. “Whatever happens in America, Hollywood, happens here ten years down the line. That's been the theory always. When I was watching the Avengers series I got an idea that why don't we create a universe. Obviously we don't have the kind of budget to make many super heroes movies year after year. Then I thought to make a cop universe from Simmba onwards.” He added, “I was a bit scared before the release of Simmba because this was happening for the first time in our country. I knew that youngsters and kids will know, because they have seen Avengers, but our mature audience hasn't seen that. I had doubts merging two worlds, but it worked big time.” Well, good for you, Mr Shetty! Let's just hope this doesn't really ruin MCU for us.image4
  3. After losing the 2-match T20I series in a rather disappointing fashion, Indian cricket fans saw a ray of hope when the Men in Blue went on a great run, winning the first two ODIs in the five-match series, with Indian batsmen--including Virat Kohli, Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni playing some brilliant innings. However, after losing the Ranchi ODI by 32 runs, all eyes were on Kohli's men giving their best in order to come out victorious in Mohali, winning the series with the Delhi game still in hand. After scoring a massive total of 358, the win looked almost certain, all we had to do was bowl the 50 overs as there was no way the Aussie were going to chase such a score. Who knew Aaron Finch's men would get some extra boost as the Indian cricketers created some major goof ups in the form of dropped catches, misfields and dropped catches (so many dropped catches). And then the unthinkable happened. Not only did the Australians chase the massive total, they did it with more than two overs to spare. Following the loss, one of the Indian cricketers who found himself taking a major share of the blame was the Indian wicket keeper Rishabh Pant who missed out on major stumping opportunities at crucial junctions of the game. To make matters worse, the 21-year-old also dropped a couple of catches behind the wicket. The fact that veteran keeper and former captain of the team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni wasn't a part of the playing XI and Pant had to replace his presence led to all the MS Dhoni fans putting on a barrage of brutal criticisms, taunting his inability as a wicketkeeper whilst comparing him to a veteran like Dhoni. As the day ended, a lot of people came forward to show their support for the player who had suffered a lot of firing in the past 24 hours. While his childhood coach, Tarak Sinha called all the comparisons between Dhoni and Pant completely unfair, the Delhi-born cricketer got support from a rather unexpected source. He's just 21 and represents India in all 3 formats. Let's introspect and see what we were doing at that age. Give him a chance. @RishabPant777 u are pure talent keep the focus, you got this ! pic.twitter.com/GDySpRgiGU — Suniel Shetty (@SunielVShetty) March 11, 2019 Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty came to the young athlete's rescue reminding everyone of the fact that having been only 21 years old, Pant is one of the top choices for the team in all three formats of the game. Shetty also goes on to urge everyone who's criticising the talented star to introspect and realise what they were doing when they were of his age. Finally, he requests the ever-so-passionate fans of the game to give Pant a chance as he is destined for greatness and great things are in store for him. Wise words.
  4. Suniel Shetty might be the fittest, most stylish dad in Bollywood, but his son Ahan is not far behind, and it seems like the lad has inherited all of his dad's charming, magnetic personality. Ahan looks almost identical to Mr Shetty, and he has got the whole 'effortless swag' thing going on as well. Here are 10 pictures which prove that: 1. First sign: That jawline. 5. Suniel Shetty perhaps has the best 'redemption story' in Bollywood, when it comes to fashion and grooming. From being the ever-scruffy and sweaty distressed hero with anger issues wearing torn and tattered clothes to the suave, sophisticated aesthetic he now proudly flaunts, his has been a journey worth noticing. Of the many, many things that contributed to his swanky new avatar now, his beard probably is the most important entity. His thick, shapely salt-n-pepper face mane is as alluring as it is intimidating, and it just works for his classy-dad aesthetic in a way that's extremely impressive. Here are 10 pictures which prove that Suniel Shetty has the best beard in Bollywood right now. 1. 'Yoga se hi hoga' but that beard tho! 6. Actress Shamita Shetty turned 40 in style with an exotic vacation with her loved ones in Phuket. Bollywood stars know how to party, and she is Shilpa Shetty's sister, so how do you expect anything ordinary? View this post on Instagram Day 1 bday celebrations ð°ðð #friendsforever #friendslikefamily #instapic #instafun #birthdaygirl ð·ð¥ð¸ð¬â¤ï¸ A post shared by Shamita Shetty (@shamitashetty_official) on Jan 31, 2019 at 8:33pm PST View this post on Instagram Coz my #shamsters gangstas!! #friendslikefamily #friendsforever #instapic #instalove A post shared by Shamita Shetty (@shamitashetty_official) on Jan 31, 2019 at 1:37am PST The actress is currently in Phuket and while money can buy you a lot of happiness and possibly every birthday gift you'd imagine, but still there are a few things that no amount of currency can buy. What are the odds of Thor aka Chris Hemsworth sending a birthday video from continents apart for your birthday? Well, none if you ask us, but then this is a Bollywood beauty we're talking about. Shamita's birthday gift which probably surpassed all others that she might have got was a special message from the thunder god himself! View this post on Instagram Ok this really made my bday!!! If these are not the biggest crossovers then I don't know what is!
  7. 'Simmba' enjoyed massive success and a magical run at the box office. Rohit Shetty knows exactly what to sell to his action fans and he does it quite well. The classic recipe which he began with Singham, played extremely well by Ajay Devgn, was carried forward as a sort of legacy by none other than Ranveer Singh himself, who like always, nailed the role of a cop in this one. View this post on Instagram RELEASING TOMORROW ! ð¦ðªð¾ #SIMMBA A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Dec 26, 2018 at 10:10pm PST The movie crossed the 100-crore mark within a few days of its release and this gigantic success inspired director Rohit Shetty do so something thoughtful. At the recently concluded festival 'Umang Awards', Rohit Shetty pledged and donated 51 lakhs from the profit made by his movie. He presented the cheque with actors Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar to the commissioner of Police. © Twitter 'Simmba' follows the story of a Marathi cop Sanghram Bhalerao who falls in the claws of corruption but eventually turns his good cop side on after an epiphany. Rohit is now all set to direct another action drama called 'Sooryavanshi' with none other than Khiladi Kumar himself, who made a cameo in 'Simmba' as well. Recently, the makers of Vicky Kaushal starrer 'Uri' pledged 1 crore towards the fund for Army widows on Army Day as well. It is good to see when Bollywood extends help and gives back to the country in a generous way.
  8. Whatever style gaffes Suniel Shetty might be a victim of during the '90s, he has more than made up for all of that now. He probably is the fittest dad in Bollywood right now with grown up kids, and his fashion game is so on point that the only proper analogy would be that of aging wine. From giving 25-year-olds a run for their money to giving SRK style complex, this man is a force to reckon with. He just proved it once again by attending Amit Thackeray's wedding reception wearing a plain white dhoti and making it look runway-ready. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The white cotton dhoti is perhaps the most 'Indian' outfit of all times, when it comes to menswear, but it is terribly underrated. Be it the comfort, the grace, or the raw, natural, masculine appeal it exudes - there is no other outfit that can score better. Suniel Shetty clearly understands it, as he stood tall, wearing a simple dhoti amongst the glam and glitz around, and stealing everyone's thunder nonetheless. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani A white kurta and a cotton dhoti not only makes for the most comfortable outfit ever, it is also the most regal one - in a sophisticated, subtle manner. The fact that he chose to wear a pair of brown Kolhapuris with it, and kept it comfy yet classy, shows that his style game is as effortlessly functional as it is smart. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is the new crop of Bollywood youngsters need a style lesson from him about how to keep it simple yet stunning, urgently. Kudos!
  9. When you have Beyonce perform at the pre-wedding ceremony, one can only wonder what the actual wedding will entail. Clearly, the whole of Bollywood was wondering the same thing when they attended the wedding, and boy did they 'dress'! Everyone put their best foot forward, but two gentlemen who stole everyone's thunder were Shah Rukh Khan and Suniel Shetty. Why, you ask? They brought back the incredibly underrated and most ignored item of Indian ethnic menswear - the good ol' Dhoti. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Both of them wore white dhotis and paired them with black achkans. While Suniel wore a classy, basic achkan with black buttons, SRK went ahead and wore one with golden buttons, replete with a rich maroon pocket square. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The dhoti is one of the most comfortable and regal looking outfits ever, but it's been a while we saw a celebrity embrace it in all its royal glory, before these two men here did it with the utmost class. Don't they look phenomenal? © Viral Bhayani View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Dec 12, 2018 at 11:57am PST View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Dec 13, 2018 at 1:55am PST
  10. We grew up admiring Bollywood stars for a number of reasons - some for their charisma, some for their physique, some because of how good-looking they were. However, sometimes, those criteria change. For example, Suniel Shetty wasn't really admired because of his fashion sense back in the '90s, during his peak years, but look at the man now! He is 57, but he looks incredible, and we won't even be exaggerating if we said he looks better than ever. He was recently spotted at the airport in a fitted T-shirt and jogger pants, and we couldn't help but admire how excellently he is embracing age. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani To have maintained that toned, musclebound physique at the age of 57 in itself is worthy of appreciation, but Suniel sure knows how to do justice to it by dressing right. We love his choice of T-shirt. The royal blue perfectly complements his skin tone. Plus, it's doing wonders for that perfectly shaped salt-n-pepper beard as well. © Viral Bhayani The fact that he has chosen to wear a pair of well-fitted jogger pants in light blue, shows that he understands how to utilize the shade card in terms of choosing outfits. We are in love with the combination. It is classy, and extremely versatile. © Viral Bhayani Mr Shetty's choice of footwear shows that he is all about minimalism and class. What other footwear, other than a pair of white sneakers, can possibly look better with this outfit? © Viral Bhayani He has kept the accessory bit minimal, by opting for a pair of aviators and a silver 'kada' - simple, but classy. The youngsters are jealous, Mr S. And rightfully so!
  11. When we recently told you about the urban monk Jay Shetty, who has been changing people's mindsets and therefore their life, we saw a lot of you really "liked" it. We totally understand why that must be, since Jay can so matter-of-factly describe deep observations on life and people which most of us come to relate to almost immediately. © Facebook For any of you who doesn't know who the man in discussion is, let's say that Jay has been influencing people's mindset in the most poignant yet easy manner and literally turning their life around simply by the power of words that are based on active human experiences. That is why he instantly became an online sensation and his wisdom went viral. © Facebook Jay is super active on social media and regularly updates his YouTube channel with such effective and relatable content that hits a million views within a span of few hours. It is however more than his captions and videos that have been changing people's lives, it is actually a few "blink and you miss" gems he drops here and there that's making all the difference. We bring you 7 out of the zillion words of wisdom by Jay, that will make you take a second look at your life. 1. "Failures are only failures when we don't learn from them, because when we learn from them they become lessons." This is so simple and yet 99.01% of us fail to realise this simple fact in life. We constantly crib and cry over spilt milk and keep mulling over the whys and hows of our failure. But Jay tells us that failure can be instantly turned into lessons by learning from them! © Facebook 2. “We force ourselves out of bed to live the same day again and again and call it a life.” This may remind you of school, college, work or perhaps some other activity you indulge in on a day-to-day basis. But what this made us rethink was how many of us even keep aside mere 30 minutes out of 1440 minutes a day, to indulge in a hobby we feel really passionately about? 3. “The same technology that brings us close to those far away, takes us far away from the people that are actually close.” So. Bloody. True. None of us, and mind you that we mean it when we say that none of us can shrug this one off because this happens to be a reality of every millenial (and after) reading this right now. The WWW and smartphones have taken over and living people we care for are constantly fighting a losing battle for our attention every single day. How sad is that? © Facebook 4. “Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but make sure it does not replace you as the driver.” Yes my handsome readers, those colourful notes you're constantly running after (to pay the bills and for 100 other reasons), make sure that does not end up becoming your first and last love, 'cause no one wants to end up like Dickens' Scrooge. 5. “We spend the whole day trying to get our work on time, but then spend all of our time thinking about work.” Besides Jay, only the ones who are guilty of it shall be able to gauge the last drop of truth in this one statement. Not much needs to be said for this one but all we can say is if you don't relate to it then we're dangerously envious of your job. © Facebook 6. “We don't know who we want to become, because we're too distracted by who everyone else is becoming.” Thanks to every “Sharma ji ka beta” and the more than perfect Instagram feed of online celebs, all of our goals and priorities have shifted. This generation is too easy to influence and that's meddling with most people's aspirations in life. 7. “It's not about how slow you go, just as long as you don't stop.” We had to say it because you need to hear it. It does not matter if what you're trying to achieve is slow to come by. All you gotta do is keep pushing, up the hustle and ensure that you don't give up. Trust us, what you deserve always finds a way to reach you. We love these because they really do make you ponder over the life that we're leading in such a simple manner.
  12. As soon as we got to know that Ranveer Singh is all set to work in a movie under Rohit Shetty's direction, we were prepared to witness the craziness it was bound to give rise to. However, he never manages to not surprise us. Continuing that streak, he delved into the character of 'Simmba' with as much conviction as he possibly could have mustered. The result? A walking, talking ball of energy (take a look at the clips below if you don't believe us). Hell, even his clothes seem to have taken on that personality. His latest appearance gave us a glimpse of that craziness. © Instagram Yes, he is actually wearing a T-shirt that says 'Rohit Shetty Ka Hero'. As if that wasn't enough, he chose to choose colours that are eye-catching AF - in true 'Baba' style. The red leather jacket and the white overalls are perfect, when you want to capture everyone's attention. © Instagram We are quite confused about whether this look is inspired by minimalism or maximalism. Only Ranveer can manage to give rise to a dilemma like that. In principle, though he is wearing a simple combo, he is making it look super grand, perhaps just by being himself. The black high top boots helped, of course. © Instagram If there is anyone who can give the paparazzi a run for their money in terms of being energetic and playing along, it's this man right here. Be it nonchalant grunting, posing like a pro, or saying 'Ala re ala' like it's his living room, Ranveer is a curious case study, to say the least.
