  1. Varun Dhawan usually swears by athleisure, courtesy him being an out-and-out gym bunny. Whenever he steps out otherwise, he never shies away from experimenting with his outfits as well. He believes in keeping it super playful, and sometimes, even goes the extra mile to make things super fun. His latest outfit is proof, where he paired yellow with shiny silver. As exciting as his outfit is, our eyes couldn't help but immediately focus on his footwear. Varun wore a pair of comfortable sneakers, but one that is wonderfully weird. He wore a red shoe on one foot, and a blue one on the other. In fact, they almost look like they belong to two different pairs that Varun just decided to mix and match for a playful aesthetic. When it comes to his overall outfit, we love the gutsy pairing of the quirky yellow sweatshirt with the disco-night silver pants. The patches on the sweatshirt remind us of the 2000s when wearing a half t-shirt on a full one was quite the rage. His accessory game was also on point, with dark shades and a neck chain. Don't know whether moms would approve of this look, but we sure do! View the full article
  2. We have wonderful news for all you 'Harry Potter' fans out there. Aside from trinkets and wizard paraphernalia, the Potter world is getting a new addition that you'll want to add to your collection ASAP. Vans has just released the teaser for an official Harry Potter collab. © Vans The brand announced the news in a tweet saying, “Something magical coming soon,” and when one clicks on the link provided, it takes them to the following message: “Vans and HARRY POTTER collaborated to conjure up a magical collection of footwear, apparel, and accessories for witches, wizards, and muggles alike.” Something magical coming soon: https://t.co/Ug5xKWJXTD pic.twitter.com/fwYXJ3U3bz — Vans (@VANS_66) April 22, 2019 © Vans We wish we could know more soon. But the collection looks promising indeed and we're gonna want to Accio them as soon as they hit the stores.
  3. Want to know what's worse than an already weird pair of crocs? Turning a croc shoe into a bag! Nope, we're not even kidding. This is not a good start to 2019, fashion-wise. Already a much frowned upon sandal label and a big no-no when it comes to style, crocs have taken their shoe game to a whole other level of just plain weird. Croc's new collaboration with a streetwear label Pizzaslice has resulted in the birth of satan's prodigy itself, the crocs cross-body bag. Have a look without making a what-the-hell-is-that-thing face. © instagram/@pizzaslime © instagram/@pizzaslime The bag itself is a literal croc (one shoe, not a pair) of the label's infamous design with a polyester zipper pouch for storage where the sole usually is. There's also a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap attached to each end of the shoe which makes it a cross between a fanny pack and a cross-body sling. Either way, its absurd. © store.pizzaslime.com Apparently fashion loves the croc shoe. We don't , but that's a whole other story. First there were the Christopher Kane stone embellished crocs, then the Balenciaga platform crocs and now this. © store.pizzaslime.com © store.pizzaslime.com The bag (or shoe? we're still confused) is handmade in Los Angeles and comes with 7 detachable and customizable charms. It is available in two colours, black and yellow. © store.pizzaslime.com If anyone wants one of these, as a collectible or as an accessory, they would have to fight hard for it. It's a unisex accessory and the brand is just making 25 units of these (talk about a limited edition accessory) with each one being retailed at 300$ which is around Rs. 21350 only. © instagram/@pizzaslime Here goes another attempt by Crocs to make this infamous rubber shoe cool again, if it was ever one to begin with. You're still fashion's evil foe, Croc. Maybe 2019 is finally your year.
  4. Smart shoes are going to be the next big thing in smart wearables and Nike unveiled the Adapt BB, a shoe that can lace itself and can be controlled via an app. It's called the Adapt BB and can be used to track activity and even customisation. It connects with the Nike Adapt app on smartphones which can be used to control the shoe for different types of fitting. © Nike The app enables the wearer to customise the fit of the shoe by tightening and loosening it up giving it a true custom fit for a user. The smart shoe is an extension of Nike's HyperAdapt 1.0 show which was the company's first multipurpose performance shoe. © Nike Nike details in its press note on how the smart features can be used: “We picked basketball as the first sport for Nike Adapt intentionally because of the demands that athletes put on their shoes. During a normal basketball game the athlete's foot changes and the ability to quickly change your fit by loosening your shoe to increase blood flow and then tighten again for performance is a key element that we believe will improve the athlete's experience,” says Eric Avar, Nike VP Creative Director of Innovation. How Does It Work? When one slips in their foot, the Nike Adapt BB's custom motor and great senses the amount of tension that's needed by the foot. It then tightens itself and adjust the fit according to the foot of the user. Even though these kicks don't use traditional laces, it sort of laces itself for the user. Nike says “the tensile strength of the underfoot lacing is able to pull 32 pounds of force (roughly equal to that of a standard parachute cord) to secure the foot throughout a range of movement.” © Nike Users can then adjust the shoe according to their own preference depending on what activity they will be performing. For example, a player can loosen up the show either manually or from the app while relaxing during a break. Before re-entering the court, a user can tighten up the fit according to his/her preference. The technology on the shoe can also be updated via firmware upgrades on the app and in theory upgrade its capabilities. The Nike Adapt BB will cost $350 (Rs 25,000 approx), which is quite reasonable as previous iterations cost upwards of $700. The smart shoe is expected to launch next month and its India pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
  5. If you like the idea of your shoes resembling a full-fledged golf course, the kind where as soon as you enter a golf course your shoes disappear in the vast lands of freshly grown crisp grass blades like a chameleon, then this pair is made just for you. Heads up: They're not using real grass though. Disappointed? © Instagram The Nike Air Max 1 is a grass-covered shoe with laces that match the grass. A lining of astroturf covers the shoe surface in its entirety. On the sides, you'll find the monogrammed Nike logo in white. Below sits a Zoom Air midsole and a gum rubber outsole with golf-ready traction. So, the next time, you want to flaunt cool sneakers that disappear in the golf field, you wear these. But jokes aside, in all honesty, with all the dirt that clings to golf shoes, you don't want to take them to the golf course. © Instagram The launch date is not confirmed yet, but the shoes are rumoured to launch soon with the retail price of $140 which amounts to rupees 9,915 approx. Now that is a good deal for a shoe that is already making headlines and caters to your pastoral interests.
  6. Maniesh Paul has proven time and again with his insane airport looks that he's not only the king of anchoring, but does an equally good job at being fashionable as well. From his statement bags to pairs of super edgy shoes, he has been grabbing the limelights of the fashion police for quite some time now, and we just found out that his kids are following his footsteps now. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Remember all the ugly shoes we wore during our childhood, just because we were made to? Now compare that to the hypebeast pairs these kids are wearing. A wave of sadness just took over, right? We felt that too. © Viral Bhayani But we're jealous only because we are in love with the shoes. To begin with, Maniesh Paul's neon blue Nike high tops are definitely a pair that qualifies as collectibles. The best thing about the pair is that it can be paired with anything that qualifies as Athleisure. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to his kids' shoes, we like the both the white striped ones and the ones with the ocean palette. Such fun pairs! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Don't you love their outfits as well? Everyone is wearing colourful athleisure, that is fashionable, as well as extremely comfortable. Add to that those shoes, and a new hashtag called #FamilyOutfitGoals can start trending. © Viral Bhayani Well done, little Pauls!
  7. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the finest and best cricketers of his time. After looking at Sakshi Dhoni's social media post, people are convinced that he is also the best husband in the world, who cares for his wife and loves her a lot. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sakshi Singh Dhoni (@sakshisingh_r) on Nov 18, 2018 at 3:19am PST When most of us were busy watching memes and food videos on Instagram, Dhoni's fans were busy leaving comments and messages on Sakshi Dhoni's post. Earlier, he was seen sleeping on the field, when the Sri Lankan fans lost their cool during a match and started throwing bottles on the ground. And let's not even talk about his adorable pictures and videos with his daughter Ziva. View this post on Instagram Game over, had a nice sleep now back to Daddy's duties A post shared by M S Dhoni (@mahi7781) on Apr 26, 2018 at 2:54am PDT Reportedly, Dhoni is currently on a break from Cricket and is chilling with his friends and family. He will soon come back with a bang in the ODI series against Australia that start next year.
  8. Fitness trackers have become mainstream in the last few years and with technology advancing, we see them getting cheaper as well as more powerful. Wearable technology is undoubtedly the future and brands are scrambling to develop accessories that can find practical usage in our life. We've already seen smart glasses, smart clothing, in-body RFID chips, smart shoes, and more. What's interesting is, wearable technology simply isn't new. There have been numerous prototypes and limited consumers products going back to the '90s. One prime example is the Puma RS-Computer, a running shoe produced in limited quantity by the athletic goods maker way back in 1986. © Puma In 1986, the Running System (RS) Computer Shoe housed a not-so-small computer system at the rear. It could measure speed, distance, and calories burned. Runners had to then connect the shoe via a 16-pin connector to any Apple IIE, Commodore 64, or IBM PC to view their data. Puma is bringing back the 1986 RS-Computer but you no longer need a computer from the '80s to access the data. The new edition will look the same as the 1986 version but has a technologically updated interface. They now pack a three-axis accelerometer, enough memory to store a full month's worth of exercise data, wireless Bluetooth connectivity and a USB port for charging. © Puma To keep the retro feel alive, the modern app gets a retro finish with 8-bit style graphics and even has an 8-bit game inside it. Puma is keeping the look of the original shoes, right down to the protruding heel and the colors. "The 2018 iteration has new technology but replicates the original experience," Puma says. © Puma Adidas too had released similar shoes called the Micropacer in 1984. They didn't connect to a computer though, a small screen on the shoe tongue displayed all the compiled data. The company says it will be making only 86 pairs that will be sold online and at Puma stores in Berlin, Tokyo, and London, as well as KITH retailers. Unfortunately, the pricing hasn't been announced yet.
  9. Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar are perhaps the most competitive people in Bollywood. While KJo always makes sure that no one stands a chance when it comes to the conquests of his sartorial adventures, Akshay Kumar does it in life. The recent 'Koffee With Karan' episodes are proof. We just saw a glimpse of that IRL. KJo stepped out wearing an insane pair of shoes, like he usually does. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani He's wearing the 2 Chainz X Versace Chain Reaction sneakers. © Viral Bhayani The statement white bulky sole with chain link details makes the pair stand out, along with the black and red colour palette. © Viral Bhayani You'd think it would be near impossible to beat this pair in terms of making a statement, but Khiladi Kumar clearly thought otherwise. He stepped out in a pair that stood out in its own right, and how! Take a look. © Viral Bhayani High tops are in, but Akshay has always been one to stick to the basics, and not go all out in terms of sticking to a trend. Clearly, times are changing and so is he. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Just look at that insane pair of white sneakers. Not only are they runway-ready, they are giving a whole new dimension to Akki's all-black athleisure outfit. © Viral Bhayani Do we have a new fashionista to look out for in Bollywood? Let's just say KJo sure has competition.
  10. It is absolutely okay to have your secret guilty pleasures, but it is not okay to feel really bad about them. For some of us, it's gadgets (there are people buying iPhone X out there), for the others, it could be food, but there is a huge number of men who like to invest in shoes. Shoes, by the virtue of their utility and longevity, are bound to be expensive; add to that, a passion for trying the latest launches by the most high-end brands, and you have pictured a sneakerhead in your head. So if you are someone who has been nodding while reading the graphic description of men who absolutely LOVE sneakers, we are here to help you feel better about the fortune you have spent on those Air Jordans and Stan Smiths. Take a look at these B-town men who share the same interest as you, and just feel better about not being the only one. And if you think movies and entertainment is all that he has mastered, think again, think of his public appearances - appearances that show what Fashion would look like, if he walked the earth. Be it his quirky suits teamed with crisp white shirts, or those super-expensive bags he is seen carrying at airports, KJo is all about making a statement. And it is this fervour to dress that makes him wear shoes that do all the talking. You might have spotted this star wear blingy moccasins or velvet slip-ons, but there's more than that. He is also quite a sneakerhead, who likes investing in bulky, bright trainers and running shoes, and loves to flaunt them on Instagram. 2. We are talking about the grand wedding celebration of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, that set the fashionazis in frenzy, typing words of honour and bewilderment, thanks to their bold choice of wearing sneakers. Right in that moment, we knew and so the did the world, Bollywood had chanced upon a a new sneakerhead, Anand Ahuja; this one, far more enthusiastic than everyone else. Anand Ahuja's love for sneakers is nothing new, but it's fascinating how thrilled he is with them, and how vocal about it on social media. From the costliest basketball shoes to white sneakers (every possible design you can think of), Mr. Ahuja's collection will have it. No wonder his infectious love for sneakers has sort of taken over wife Sonam Kapoor, too, who is mostly spotted wearing comfy kurtas with fancy shoes these days. 3. Well, there have been times when the star has made headlines for reasons we couldn't have thought of (his not-so-private crush on Kylie Jenner), one cannot really understate the effect his presence leaves behind. And one of the reasons for that is definitely the way he chooses to dress - loud, unabashed and fancy - just the words that describe Dosanjh's sartorial preferences. From quirky suits to blingy bomber jackets, the singer has made a number of head-turning choices, but there is one thing that has been just so constant - his love for sneakers, especially high-tops. Picking the most dominant and luminous colours, with combinations no ordinary man would dare to wear, Diljit has been leaving us stunned and impressed with his “high-end” sneaker choices, and he doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. 4. He is the connoisseur of androgynous dressing; he is all for experimentation - and this is what makes him who he is, also referred to as the Lady Gaga of Bollywood. And thus it makes complete sense for this talented actor to own a shoe collection we didn't know existed. He likes all things in-vogue and he gets all things in vogue. Remember the time he posed in a formal suit, teamed with velvet slip-ons, and looked just so cool? The actor has quite a number of bold and bulky sneakers in his closet, and it only makes us wonder if we will ever be able to see all the shoes he owns?
  11. If you haven't noticed by now, we are kind of obsessed with Vicky Kaushal. And considering just how bright his star has been shining recently- what with his incredible performances in 'Raazi', 'Sanju' and 'Manmarziyaan' this year, firmly putting him on Bollywood's map- it's not surprising to see so many people fawning over him. The fact that he is a great actor isn't surprising, after all, anyone who has seen 'Masaan' can vouch for his talent and acting skills. What has been less expected, and highly refreshing, has been his impressive style game. Be it his clothes or his shoes, Vicky has become somewhat of a fashion icon. In fact, his shoe game has recently been so strong, that we can't help but take styling inspiration from him. So for all the men out there who want to adapt Vicky's fashion-forward shoe collection for themselves, but don't want to spend a fortune, here's how you could upgrade your own shoe game: A Pair Of Fashion-Forward Brown Loafers That Redefine Effortless Fashion © Official Instagram/Vicky Kaushal 1) These stylish tan brown horsebit loafers that are as classy as they are dependable © Amazon MRP: Rs. 2,999 Buy it here 2) Or, you could opt for these pure leather tan brown variants that will elevate your ensemble with a touch of high fashion © Amazon MRP: Rs. 3,995 Buy it here A Pair Of Stylish Black Sneakers That Should Pretty Much Be A Staple In Every Indian Guy's Wardrobe © Official Instagram/Vicky Kaushal 1) These fashion-forward black sneakers from Adidas that, with their white striped detail, are the perfect amalgamation of style and quality © Amazon MRP: Rs. 4,197 Buy it here A Pair Of Black High-Top Sneakers That Will Pretty Much Compliment Any Casual Or Smart Casual Attire © Official Instagram/Vicky Kaushal 1) These black leather sneakers from VANS are just as durable as they are stylish. © Amazon MRP: Rs. 4,499 Buy it here A Pair Of Uber Cool Red Sneakers That Will Transform Your Casual Attire Into A Modish One © Official Instagram/Vicky Kaushal 1) These trendy red sneakers from U.S. Polo Assn. that are not only comfortable and fashion-forward but also super affordable! © Amazon MRP: Rs. 1,399 Buy it here And Finally, A Pair Of Grey Canvas Sneakers That Epitomize The Term 'Less Is More' © Official Instagram/Vicky Kaushal 1) These grey sneakers from United Colors Of Benetton that possibly offer the best value for money out of all the shoes mentioned on our list © Amazon MRP: Rs. 1,499 Buy it here 2) Or you could opt for these grey sneakers from Boltt that aren't just simplistic and fashionable, but also happen to be the most affordable shoes mentioned on our list © Amazon MRP: Rs. 899 Buy it here
  12. Nowadays, log onto any celebrity style website/Instagram page and you'd be quick to notice similarities between a few uploads. Sneakers — every famous man's frequent indulgence — have now replaced the concept of semi-formal footwear; everyone's wearing sneakers with (literally) everything now. They have almost become like a way of life. But while that's that, a few pairs of course, emerge as complete favourites. Like the Balenciaga Speed Sock sneakers, as seen on Aryan Khan here: #Bollywoodactor @iamsrk 's son #AryanKhan arrives to attend a programme organised to celebrate Friendship Day in Mumbai's Bandra. #aryankhan #starkids #shahrukhkhan #iamsrk #friendshipday A post shared by Bollywood.com (@bollywood_dotcom) on Aug 5, 2018 at 9:04pm PDT In ideology, the speed sock sneakers are knitted, sock-like kicks that feature a shock-absorbing, memory sole technology and besides their unique construction, also boast of a textured sole (you can't miss it). But while men like Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh are just simply wearing these Balenciaga sneakers, star kids like Aryan Khan are aiming for a mismatched medley. While his right foot was gracing red sock sneakers, his left foot was witness to a black sock sneaker. What the hell was he eyeing here? Is this a brand-new style move to cop? @___aryan___ spotted at #bastina #FriendshipDay2018 #aryankhan #Bollywood #instadaily #instalike #likeforlikes A post shared by Bollywoodnewzz (@bollywoodnewzz) on Aug 5, 2018 at 8:45am PDT Let's talk of how he's brought this sight together. Khan decided to opt for a cosy hoodie here (unzipped to a level of two-buttons-open) and paired it with classic jeans. However, while you may call this a last-minute (plus safe) styling decision, it's hard to ignore the chemistry between the colour of his hoodie with one of his shoes. So clearly, while the star kid was eyeing a well-balanced sight here, his decision of opting for mismatched shoes, brought a lot of drama along; but in a very subtle manner. Plus, they're almost as cosy as the feeling of slipping into socks, but alternatively, also give you a lot of grip while you're up and about. And while the Balenciaga speed sock sneakers are very minimal in style, turn to other brands in the market and you'd find a lot of maximalist options in 'snockers' out there. And while Aryan has worn the red and black variants here, the speed sock kicks come in a lot of other colours and even with prints on top. @___aryan___ paired his red sweater with red/black @balenciaga sneakers #bollywood #style #fashion #beauty #bollywoodstyle #bollywoodfashion #indianfashion #celebstyle #celebrityfashion #indianstyle #afashionistasdiaries #indianfashionblogger #delhidiaries #bollywoodstylefile #mensstyle #aryankhan #balenciaga #casualstyle A post shared by A Fashionista's Diary (@afashionistasdiaries) on Aug 5, 2018 at 8:54pm PDT Point being, mismatched pairs are a thing now. 15. Following a two-year hiatus from the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) returned for the eleventh edition of the country's cash-rich T20 tournament with a nail-biting win against defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the opening game. If their victory in the tournament's opener had everyone excited, the two-time IPL champions turned up the heat with another emphatic triumph against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Chepauk stadium yesterday. After Andre Russell's unbeaten 36-ball 88- which included 11 towering sixes - silenced the deafening home crowd and powered the visitors to an imposing total of 202 runs, the MS Dhoni-led side unleashed a blockbuster finish to secure a five-wicket win, making it two wins in as many games in the tourney. Riding on the back of Sam Billings' 23-ball 56 and Shane Watson's rapid-fire knock of 42, Chennai chased down the mammoth total with five wickets and a ball to spare. It was also only the second time when a 200-plus T20 score was successfully chased down at the MA Chidambaram stadium. © Instagram/@sambillings Well, for a team that has been sorely missed in the last few years, you'd expect their fans to be absolutely pumped, especially after they romped to the numero uno spot in the points tally. But, sadly, it wasn't the case. Chennai's hard-fought win was thoroughly marred by the Cauvery water dispute. If the grim atmosphere just a few hundred meters from the 22-yard strip at the center threatened to slither in and dampen the spirits, the shambolic antics of a few vociferous protesters inside the stadium eventually spoiled Chennai's homecoming. In an unsavory incident, a couple of miscreants gave the electric Chennai crowd a bad name after a shoe was chucked at Ravindra Jadeja - one of the oldest stalwarts of the franchise. On February 8, the PHC had directed the KP Assembly speaker "to issue order of production of the petitioner to administer oath as member of the provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on minority seat in terms of Article 65 of the Constitution." The speaker on Friday issued production orders for MPA-elect Baldev Kumar for attending the session today. Arbab Jahandad today reiterated the same objections asking how a murderer can step foot in the assembly. He was flanked by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Sardar Aurangzeb. When the speaker said that they are bound by the court's orders, the lawmakers demanded that the KP government appeal the PHC order in the Supreme Court.

  20. Scroll through galleries of any Indian wedding, and you'd spot the Bandhgala in almost every frame. One, because it's ethnic wear in Mood: Formal and two, it's Indian wear done absolutely right. Come turtlenecks with single-breasted suits or a blazer with track pants, the truth remains, the Bandhgala is irreplaceable. It's a vertical of menswear, which every groom, male wedding invitee and A-list showstoppers at prolific runway shows, would be always sporting through the course of years. Take for example, Shahid Kapoor at Anita Dongre's Summer/Resort showcase at Lakme Fashion Week last evening: © Viral Bhayani Closing the show for the commercially/editorially-hit designer Anita Dongre, Kapoor was clicked in a Bandhgala-Sherwani hybrid by our bugs recently. An appearance, that Dongre poetically described (on Instagram) as "Shahid Kapoor, the Anita Dongre groom singing songs of summer". While we're 100% down for the design maverick's caption game, but men, don't see this tune as a Spring/Summer reservation. It may be a hue that's better for Summer (white), but its neutrality is what makes it a Fall/Winter winner too. © Viral Bhayani But while Dongre could have dressed Shahid Kapoor in whatever way she pleases, there's something that makes her overall design aesthetic appeal to the masses — her continued forte in making her garments India-specific, styles for one (and all) and keeping things classic, yet very cultured. You may be a businessman from Chennai, a start-up king of Mumbai or even a street hip-hop dancer — if your girlfriend's family is insistent and wants wedlock ASAP, chances are, you'd turn to Anita Dongre's label for your big-day outfit. © Viral Bhayani But talking about the highlight here is Shahid's pair of brown, plain oxford shoes. Something, that every man who's sartorially-rich, can easily justify in his head. For the less-informed however, let's discuss this detail. First off, as a pre-requisite, know that a Bandhgala suit is the most formal form of Indian menswear. Hence, as the rules go (how you can't wear leather sandals with a suit), you can't wear open footwear with a Bandhgala suit. It's simple and maintains the monotony of the nature of the outfit. But now, while you may say Mojris will do the trick here, we'd differ. A pair of black or brown dress shoes ideally would look their best in this ensemble. © Viral Bhayani And while Shahid's sporting a pair of oxfords here, if you wish, you could go for derby shoes or brogues instead. But keep the perforations on check. You don't want a UK 10 ruining your outfit for you.

  23. NEW DELHI: Global sportswear giant Puma was accused Tuesday of irreversibly damaging 17th-century architecture in Delhi's historic quarter as part of an advertising stunt to promote a new line of shoes. The facades of several buildings in Old Delhi have been spraypainted with large colourful murals for the shoe campaign that Puma said "captures the grit of Indian streets" on its website. But the stunt -- dubbed "Suede Gully" after the shoe material and the Hindi word for street -- had infuriated conservationists who accused Puma of defacing the centuries-old quarter built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. "It´s a heritage area. You can´t just go and paint what you like," Swapna Liddle from the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage told AFP. "Permanent damage has been done to the carved sandstone, limestone plaster and Lahori bricks. "Those who made and approved this advertisement, those who stood by while this was done, are all responsible for this insensitive treatment." Puma in a statement said it was unaware that the building had heritage value, and has promised to restore the facades to their original condition. "The owner wasn´t aware that his property is protected as a heritage property and hence we were not made aware," a spokesperson said on Tuesday. In an advertising video for the Puma campaign, Indian rappers and hip-hop dancers perform at graffiti-covered locations including trains in the financial capital Mumbai. Rules to protect Delhi´s neglected heritage sites from destruction are widely ignored, conservationists say. Laws specifically forbidding advertising on historic buildings is rarely enforced by Delhi´s cash-strapped authorities, who struggle to uphold measures designed to conserve the city´s crumbling icons. The owner of one Delhi building spraypainted for the Puma campaign had defended the decision as his only to make. "This is a private property and the graffiti is making the area look more beautiful. The area is looking better now, it is more lively," Arun Khandelwal told the Indian Express.
