  1. When it comes to footwear, there's always a question that lingers around- "How many shoes do I need?" From the boardroom to the bar and from the beach hours to date night, there's no chance that a rack filled with sandals or formal shoes will do the needful. Well, you can relax now because we've done the legwork and whittled down to 5 essential shoes that you need right away: 1. Suede Loafers © Getty Images Suede loafers have been counted as synonymous with casual dressing. The sleek and smart design, available in darker tones can go a long way. Don't miss out on the ubiquity offered by the tasselled version as they are a godsend to take your date look a notch higher. 2. White Low Top Sneakers © Getty Images White sneakers have already earned their place in the shoe closet, but the latest version of low top sneakers can take your look from sporty to minimal to edgy. The best part? They pair well with everything and yes, with sharp silhouettes too! 3. The Black Oxford © Getty Images The snug fit and clean finish, make the black oxford the most formal pair. Often viewed as a type for professionals, these shoes are a safe bet to wear at weddings, funerals and job interviews. Dress them up or down, they never disappoint. 4. Running Sneakers © Getty Images For a statement street style appearance, a pair of running sneakers crack the fashion code like none other. Choose a style that has minimal branding. Consider bright coloured sneakers, just in case you wish to score extra attention on your shoes than your outfit. 5. Chelsea Boots © Getty Images Be it a lace-up or a desert or Chelsea, boots are a shoe staple for every man. When the mercury levels drop, these shoes, with their edgier aesthetic will be a fashionable choice to own. Invest in a good quality pair, preferably in tan or brown shade. Pull the trousers over the boots for another dollop for fresh style tip.
  2. Ayushmann Khurrana has been on a roll, and no, we aren't referring only to his career. Apart from playing unique roles and doing absolute justice to each one of them, Ayushmann has also been extremely woke when it comes to his fashion choices. From wearing super edgy silhouettes to experimenting with cuts that have never been tried before in the mainstream fashion canvas, he has been doing it all with effortless panache. His latest outfit reminded us of his unusual fashion choices, once again. © Instagram/Ishabhansali The super relaxed yet functional outfit consisting of a dropped shoulder oversized bomber by Siddartha Tytler and a knit T-shirt by Tommy Hilfiger testifies, but what stole the thunder for us, was his footwear. Take a look. © Instagram/Ishabhansali Ayushmann is wearing the 'Trainer Hi' by Puma X Fenty. It's a pair of sports trainers for women, designed by Rihanna. However, it clearly can pass off as unisex, thanks to the versatile design - not that shoes need to have a certain aesthetic for men to be able to wear it - something stylist Isha Bhansali's woke sensibilities clearly are in tune with. © PUMA We are in love with the edgy matte black exterior, replete with the playful flap design. The fact that the solid cushioning is backed by the laces for a secure hold, makes it a solid performance boosting piece. © PUMA When it comes to how much it costs, it's surprisingly affordable. It costs INR 7,799/- here in India. © PUMA All we can say is, just like the roles he plays with perfection, Ayushmann clearly can step into anybody's shoes - in more ways than one.
  3. Shahid Kapoor's version of 'Arjun Reddy', which is his upcoming movie 'Kabir Singh', is already being praised for the raw charisma he brings to the character. The promotions are on in full swing, and Mr Kapoor is once again out there, with his best fashionable self. We have always been on board with his sartorial choices, and he just reminded us why, with a pair of super edgy sneakers. Check them out. © Dolce and Gabbana We are in love with the futuristic, robotic vibe of the sneakers, and the angular heel only makes it edgier. © Instagram/theanisha Shahid is wearing the Two Tone Super King sneakers from Dolce & Gabbana. The mirrored metallic leather upper with contrasting details, along with the serrated edges make for a superbly modern aesthetic, that new age street style is all about. When it comes to how much they cost, they would set you back by 795 Euros, which when converted to INR comes around Rs 63,000. © Dolce and Gabbana © Dolce and Gabbana When it comes to what he chose to pair these statement sneakers with, we totally agree with the Pawan Sachdeva suit and the Paul Smith shirt. The outfit totally brings out the edgy appeal of the sneakers, which though boast of an aesthetic that's street, can fit in seamlessly on a red carpet as well. © Instagram/theanisha © Dolce and Gabbana All the best for 'Kabir Singh', Shahid. It does look extremely promising.
  4. Salman Khan fans have been waiting for 'Dabangg 3' with bated breath for a long time now. The movie became popular among the fans because of Salman's raunchiness and yes, Malaika Arora's special item number 'Munni Badnaam Hui'. After Malaika walked out, Kareena Kapoor Khan stepped in for the second instalment of the franchise and made a mark with her song 'Fevicol Se'. Now, we can't help but wonder who will add that spice element in 'Dabangg 3'? What if we tell you that Salman Khan is set take the lead for this special number? Yes, you heard it right. According to a report in the Asian Age, Salman would be recreating Malaika's item song, but with a twist. A source told the publication, "Malaika Arora's foot-tapping item number Munni Badnaam Hui will be re-created and will feature Salman. This time, it will be presented to the audiences with a different twist." The source also added that the lyrics will drastically change and the song will be called Munna Badnaam Hua. Watch the original 'Munni Badnaam' song here: The report also suggested that the plot will take you back to Chulbul Pandey's college days before he joined the Police department. Dabangg 3' stars Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey, Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo and Arbaaz Khan would be reprising his role of Makkhi. Directed by Prabhudheva, 'Dabangg 3' is scheduled to release on December 20, 2019. Stay tuned for more such updates.
  5. Every year it's the same old chant – I need to stay fit. I need to hit the gym. But just a few weeks into this 'healthy state of mind', I land up giving up on the weight routines and the circuit trainings, because 'humse na ho paayega'! I don't last more than a month in the gym and that's something I have been consistently trying to change and failing miserably. This year, instead of spending my hard earned money into a kidney's worth of year-long gym memberships, I did quite the opposite. I invested in my workout gear, precisely my running shoes. After months of goading myself into staying fit, I decided to take myself seriously and turn everyday into a run towards a healthy lifestyle. Too much 'gyaan', right? Let me get to the point – I kicked off my new resolve at breakneck speed and hit the park the very next day. As a novice runner, I started a 2 mile run with my gym sneakers, but just a few days into this routine I began to notice the discomfort I was ignoring as a beginner's stride. It's only when a runner friend of mine pointed out my shoes did I realize my biggest running mistake – not investing in the right gear. That's when I bought the recently launched Reebok Forever Floatride Energy running shoes that offer pro-level performance technology. Now, I wasn't expecting to turn into a pro-runner just because I bought some pro-level shoes, but there are a number of small things that helped me grow as a runner and stay fit. For instance, my broad feet (elephant feet, whatever you want to call them) have never felt more comfortable in a pair of sneakers. The Floatride Energy foam also ensured soft cushioning on the sole which led to quick energy returns and a boost in my stride. Of course, besides the comfort of the cool new Reebok kicks, daily practice worked in my favour and helped me move from my daily 2 mile mark to the eventful 5 mile run. I even landed up joining a local running group to keep the morale up and get myself some running buddies to ensure that I stick to it. I'm a month into this routine and I can't believe I never thought of this earlier. Running is fun and the right gear, only makes it so much more easier. The best part about the Reebok Floatride is the durability and the lightweight upper mesh that gives maximum flexibility and comfort. Another bonus, the new Reebok Floatride Energy cost way less than any gym membership and are available for â¹ 9,999 in stores, on shop4reebok.com and on Flipkart, Myntra and jabong. Convinced to join my runners club yet?
  6. Advertised as the biggest Air Max unit ever used on a sneaker, Nike's Air Max 720 is an attention seeker in a good way! This sneaker comes is fun playful colours and a large and bouncy bubble unit and the latest pint-sized pair to appear is this compelling combination of black and laser pink among other combinations. © Nike © Nike The shoe's puffer sole is a statement in itself. The airbag hangs over the sides. The Nike's money-minting swoosh logo is surprisingly missing from the side surface, in its place is a boomerang-shaped signia that looks just like a Nike logo, except it is flipped upside down. © Nike © Nike © Nike The feeling might be familiar to anyone who loved or played in bouncy jungle gyms as a kid. Just like the squishy walls of the gym, the gushy sole looks so much fun to hang around in. In this case, of course, wearing the 720 won't look like you're an adult trying to be a kid but the whole springy vibe has its special appeal that you don't want to miss out on. The Nike Air Max 720 is available on Nike's official website starting Rupees 15,995.
  7. Big B might be 76, but that clearly doesn't stop him from constantly one-upping the younger crop of actor-fashionistas. His style game has always been young and vibrant, and even now, he sometimes steps out wearing pieces that are headline-worthy. The latest example? A pair of super fancy velvet moccasins he wore to witness daughter Shweta set fire to the ramp. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani Mr Bachchan wore a statement kurta with a relaxed white pyjama. However, as basic as the overall attire seems to be, he had planned the ultimate footwear game that would elevate the seemingly subtle ensemble. The royal amaranth-purple velvet moccasins are super fancy on their own, add to them the conspicuous AF golden tassels, and we get a pair that beats 'em all. © Viral Bhayani We love the ivory and blue kurta, mainly because of how unusual it is in terms of the print. Mr Bachchan made a well-calculated fashion move by keeping the trousers plain and relaxed, lest it gets OTT, which it totally did not. © Viral Bhayani While we love the look, along with the minimal accessory game (did you notice the elegant ring with the blue stone?), we still can't get over those badass royal shoes! © Viral Bhayani Kudos, Sir!
  8. Vicky Kaushal is making headlines every day and for good reason. Delivering great movies one after the other, he's no more the boy next door. He has arrived. From supporting roles to carrying his own films flawlessly, the actor has really evolved. © Instagram/amandeepkaur But aside from his stellar acting, and great performances the actor also has a relatable sense of style. It's the kind of style that is neither too experimental and nor too loud and yet it makes a statement and an impressive one at that. Unlike actors like Ranveer Singh and Aparshakti Khurana who rely on the element of shock value to express their sense of personality pulling off impossible things with stride, Vicky Kaushal stays conventional and hits the right notes of style pairing the best of everything together. © Instagram/amandeepkaur Case in point: for the Filmfare awards, Vicky Kaushal wore the classic bow tie with a tuxedo. The thing about something so classic and conventional is that anyone can easily go wrong with them. But not Vicky Kaushal. He added a classic pair of brogues by House Of Sunil Mehra with a surface that has the perfect balance of shine and ruggedness on it. The shoes were the star of this outfit. They lifted the outfit and took it to another level. Take a look: © Instagram/amandeepkaur Hands up if you too want to get shoes like Vicky Kaushal because we do.
  9. Aparshakti Khurana's style game has been on fire this year. From casually wearing the most unusual accessories to setting ramps on fire, this man is unstoppable right now and he clearly has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. He recently attended the Filmfare awards in an outfit that screams 'Desi chhora with a Hypebeast twist'. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani It's lit, right? We're obsessed with the super classy, quintessential striped kurta with a rustic organic vibe. But, what got us on our feet is what he decided to wear for lowers. He went for a statement white dhoti, draped to perfection, and paired it with a pair of - wait for it - Balenciaga sneakers. © Viral Bhayani © Instagram/Aparshakti_Khurana Like, what? Who even thinks of a pairing like this one? This one especially is tricky because A, it's extremely difficult to pull off an extreme mix-n-match like this one, and B, no one has done it before! Our Bollywood biggies love their Balenciagas, yes, but to pair them with a desi dhoti? Only someone who is extremely secure and sure about their style game will even attempt it. Aparshakti clearly has not only 'attempted' it, but sent it right outside the boundary. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani We like how even his accessories are a mix of 'desi' and 'phoren'. The white pocket square screams royalty, while the futuristic eyewear gives the whole outfit its inimitable edge. © Viral Bhayani Applause, Apar! More 'shakti' to your fashion game!
  10. Nothing goes viral faster than internet fads. Especially, if it involves a first-hand, small activity, consider it a rage. The Vans Challenge is the latest example of that. Apparently, if you randomly throw Vans shoes anywhere, they will always land upright, face-up. Sounds crazy? A little physics-defying, perhaps? We thought so too, but some people claimed this to be the case, and now other people are trying to figure out whether it's true by experimenting with their own shoes, flipping them away mercilessly. Well that was a fun afternoon....ð#VansChallenge pic.twitter.com/NgApQS3wu0 — JD (@JDOfficial) March 5, 2019 A number of videos have emerged online that show how people are successfully proving this 'hypothesis' to be correct, and as a result, the #VansChallenge has been gaining momentum, driving others to try out the same. I had to explain to my mom why I was throwing all my Van's on the floor at 12AM. #Vanschallenge pic.twitter.com/USwUJkpyPX — Kris (@Sw0rnT0Death) March 4, 2019 This #VansChallenge is getting out of hand pic.twitter.com/n8hPF8jnQl — Michael Bridger (@myohmichael__) March 5, 2019 What sorcery is this? However, there also are some people who haven't been as successful at it. Watch till the end ð #VansChallenge @jackiecortez_4 pic.twitter.com/NaBmZJ9vzP — I Z Z Y ð¦ (@israelcortez22) March 4, 2019 Bruh ðyou wilding lmao #VansChallenge pic.twitter.com/GrTkAv2RDr — Kevin (@sadboikeeeevino) March 5, 2019 All we can say is, it's probably worth a try. Brb, going to flip my vans from the balcony.
  11. Anil Kapoor must be doing something weird - something no one knows about, something that's keeping him young, in fact, perhaps even turning the clock in reverse for him. We are not saying it, it's just the general sentiment among people, who constantly wonder how on earth this man seems to be getting younger by the day. Now, we have made peace with just believing that he's another case like Benjamin Button, but what baffles us is that his fashion sense is also getting edgier by the day! He just clicked a picture with a bunch of youngsters (compared to him, of course) like Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kunal Khemu, and stole their collective thunder by wearing a pair of funky AF pink shoes. Take a look. © Instagram/Anillskapoor © Instagram/Anilskapoor Isn't Mr Kapoor standing apart by a mile, thanks to his footwear game? He's wearing the OFF-WHITE x Nike Zoom Fly in Tulip Pink - a pair of sneakers that are extremely conspicuous, while being comfortable at the same time. © Kicksonfore © Kicksonfore The signature Off-White typography along with the multiple shades of pink make this a pair that's a definite collectable, and every sneakerhead will agree. Right, Anand Ahuja? © Kicksonfore © Kicksonfore We're in love with the ergonomic design, as well as the signature laces. All we can say is, Mr Kapoor, take a bow because you're doing it just right.
  12. Do you get confused hearing Oxfords and Derbies, and trainers and sneakers? Are you still at that stage where every kind of footwear gets clubbed under the group named 'shoes'? Let's be a teensy bit more fashionably aware, and address particular footwear by their respective names. It makes your life easier and it also adds to your vocabulary, which is never a bad thing. For that, you need to be able to differentiate shoes just by looking at them, and this is where we come in to help. Here are 10 types of shoes every fashionable man should be able to recognize and differentiate between: 1. Sneakers © Converse Sneakers are shoes with rubber soles that are usually worn as casual footwear. It's perhaps the most popular type of footwear at the moment, and is an indispensable element of street-style. 2. Trainers Adidas Trainers and sneakers are often hard to differentiate, but trainers are usually worn while working out and in the gym. People often wear them instead of sneakers and just go about their business. 3. Oxfords © Gentlemen's Gazette An Oxford shoe, usually, is a plain leather shoe with shoelaces. Now, however, Oxfords are made in a lot of materials. 4. Moccasins © Alcubierre Moccasins are soft, flexible shoes usually made up of one piece of leather (variations are being made now though) for the sole as well as the sides. Moccasins are often adorned with embroidery or beading. 5. Monkstraps © Tiethis Usually known as Monk shoes, Monkstraps are dress shoes that are devoid of any lacing and contain buckles and straps. 6. Brogues © Hespokestyle Brogues are shoes or low heeled boots that usually are composed of multiple leather pieces and have decorative perforations on top. 7. Chelsea Boots © Aldo Chelsea boots are snug-fitting, ankle-high boots with elastic side panels. 8. Espadrilles © Brostick Espadrilles are casual, flat shoes that usually have a canvas or cotton fabric upper and a flexible sole made of Esparto rope. 9. Loafers © Departures Loafers are laceless, buckle-less shoes that are comfortable, and are also sometimes known as slip-on shoes. 10. Boat Shoes © DHgate Boat shoes are usually canvas or leather shoes, with rubber soles designed for use on a boat. They are supposed to be worn without socks.
  13. They say that shoes speak louder than words. But when it comes to buying a new pair of leather shoes, we all know that it's an investment. Every man knows better than most that a quality pair of leather shoes does cost a little more than the average amount one spends on clothing or accessories. If you're smart enough to break in and care for fine footwear from the first day, they go a long way. Shoe care is essential, especially for a new pair. Guidelines on polishing, storage and wear and tear are what makes your shoe last for years. Here's everything you would need to know about taking care of new shoes: 1. Breaking-In The Right Way © Gettyimages A new shoe can be a mine-field with blisters and shoe-bites at every nook, just waiting to happen. It's best to break into your new shoes for a few weeks till you start wearing them on a regular basis. The tip here would be to break into them by wearing the shoes for a few hours at a time on the first few outings. As gradually wearing them over a period of a few weeks helps you mould into them slowly, it also increases the longevity of you shoe. 2. Regular Care © Gettyimages After a long day of wearability, kicking your shoes on the floor and forgetting about them is unacceptable. A sensitive but sturdy material like leather needs regular care. Invest in a leather shoe cleaning wipes and remove stains and mud off them. You could also use a shoe brush to clean any dirt that's can be easily dusted off. These minor steps can increase the life of your shoes by many years. 3. Rest Them Well © Gettyimages As much as you're tempted to wear your new kicks everyday, it's advisable to rest them. Avoid extreme wear for the first few weeks at least. This process helps the leather open up and adjust to your foot. We would recommend wearing the shoe a maximum of 2-3 times a week and resting for a day in between each wear. 4. Polish Them The Right Way © Gettyimages As leather has the tendency to dry up, you wouldn't want your beloved (not to mention, expensive) shoes to end up in flakes. Add moisture to your shoe by polishing them once every fortnight to avoid cracking. Pro tip: Most men make the mistake of polishing their shoes moments before they step out of the house. Instead, apply the polish to let it really seep into the leather for couple hours, then brush it off and shine the shoes. 5. Storage Tips © Gettyimages Don'ts: Avoid storing leather shoes in plastic bags, as that can lead to mould. Dos: Store your leather shoes in either shoe bags or shoe boxes. Throwing them in a shoe rack without any covering is not a boss move. Always remember, a little goes a long way. These tips can help increase your leather shoe's lifespan by years. Thank us later, fellas!
  14. 2018 legit belonged to Ayushmann Khurrana in terms of critical as well as commercial success. His younger brother, Aparshakti, also is just as talented and is slowly but steadily carving his own niche in Bollywood as well, which is purely performance oriented - something both the brothers are pros at. When it comes to fashion as well, they are the most stylish siblings around, who are not afraid to experiment with unusual silhouettes and colour palettes. They just proved it yet again at the Filmfare Glamour And Style Awards by wearing shoes that are legit the most glittery and sparkly shoes we have ever seen. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Just look at them! While Ayushmann wore a bejewelled pair in teal, Aparshakti stunned with a pair of charcoal grey shoes that has the sparkle of a rhinestone studded surface. Let's just say these babies shined brighter than their performances combined! © Viral Bhayani When it comes to their outfits as well, they didn't hold back. Ayushmann dazzled in a silver striped Amit Aggarwal creation, while Aparshakti kept it classy with a Shantanu and Nikhil ensemble. © Instagram/ishabhansali © Instagram/aparshakti_khurana Now, that is what you call a 'well-rounded performance'. Well done, bros!
  15. Ranveer Singh just crossed 20M followers on Instagram. Now, this definitely does warrant a celebration, but when you're Ranveer Singh, you're just designed to make the most out of everything. So, he celebrated it in a way that probably got him another 100k followers within a few hours. He wore a pair of shoes that legit has wings. No, we are not kidding. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Not that he's alien to wearing strange shoes, but just look at those sneakers! What is even happening here? Do they fly? Do they help him run faster? Do they make Deepika scream 'Yasss!' or 'Nooooo!' out loud? The possibilities are endless. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Ranveer is wearing the Adidas Originals Indian Wings designed by the iconic Jeremy Scott. Now they might actually not fly, but hey, knowing Ranveer, his spirits must have been on cloud 9 after wearing these babies. What can be a more fitting pair of shoes (no pun intended) for the king of maximalism? © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno The shoes are so extra, you almost don't even pay attention to the traffic-stopping kaleidoscope he is wearing otherwise. The colours are popping in all the right kind of ways, and they the ensemble matches the shoes to a T. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Sometimes we wonder, how drab would our lives have been, if not for Ranveer? We at least can vicariously live on the rainbow of fashion with fluffy clouds and unicorns, thanks to this man right here. You do you, Ranveer!
  16. Fashion pervades everything. However, sometimes, when it does cross a line (which is often, due to its omnipresence, because of its very nature), sentiments can be hurt easily. Especially when ultra-sensitive elements such as religion or nationalism is concerned, emotions can run high because even unintentional things can be perceived to be deliberate. The latest example of this is the curious case of Nike being boycotted, and several petitions being signed because it allegedly wrote the word 'Allah' on the sole of its Air Max 270 shoes. © Sneakernews © NY Post Thousands of Muslim customers signed an online petition asking to boycott Nike because the logo on the sole of Air Max 270s allegedly invokes the name of God. When turned upside down, a part of the logo looks like the word 'Allah' written in Arabic - which of course will be trampled on, soiled, and kicked because of being on the sole of a shoe. © Sneakernews A customer named Saiqa Noreen launched the petition because according to her, it is 'outrageous and appaling' to have Allah's name inscribed on a shoe sole. More than 34,000 have people signed the petition. © Sneakernews Nike, however, has asserted that the resemblance was unintentional and that it did not mean to offend any religious sentiments whatsoever. Interestingly, Nike had experienced it in the past as well, when it got embroiled in a similar controversy in 1997, regarding the pattern of its flames. © Sneakernews All we can do is, blink.
  17. With the closing season of 'Game Of Thrones' almost here, Adidas has launched a collaboration of Ultra Boosts that have been inspired by the iconic show. The Game Of Thrones x Adidas pack was unofficially dropped this week and they clearly indicate the House they've been inspired from or the character. Here are some of the most obvious pairs that fans have pointed out. Take a look: 1. The Night's Watch © HBO © adidas At the north point of Westeros, the Night Watch guards the seven kingdoms like the army guarding the borders of a country. The patrol the Great Wall wearing the thickest furry coats in black. The inspired shoes take a cue from their uniform to make a black upper prime knit upper surface and give a white sheen in the white mudguard, Boost midsole, and outsole that symbolize the never-ending snow in the North. A leather lace cage puts the shoe together which represents the leather armour of the Night Watch. 2. The House Of Lannister © HBO © adidas The Lannister sigil prides itself with a lion and a "Hear Me Roar" tag line and a confluence of gold and crimson. These indicators are clearly visible in this shoe. Take a look. The red primeknit is a marker of their house, and the three gold lines mark the wealthy reputation of the Lannisters that always makes them say: via GIPHY 3. The House Of Targaryen: Daenerys © HBO © adidas With white, cream and silver accents on the laces, lace cage, heel cup, and heel tag this shoe is probably the most elegant of the lot. Targaryen is considered the noblest House of the lot, their family has distinct features of pale skin and silver hair which are accounted for in this Ultra Boost. 4. The House Of Targaryen: Dragons © HBO © adidas The House of Targaryans: the former ruling House of Westeros' sigil is appropriated for this shoe. Their slogan, "Fire And Blood" is used both here and for Dany's Ultra Boosts. 5. The House Of Stark © HBO © adidas House Of Stark is the warden of the North and their sigil entails a grey direwolf on a white background. Black and grey that represent the house have been visibly used on the prime knit surface and touches of black on the lining, mudguard, Boost midsole, rubber outsole, heel cup, and their signature three stripes. The heel has a very significant and nostalgic tagline, "Winter Is Coming" because Winter is here, and people will die. via GIPHY 6. The White Walkers © HBO © adidas The White Walkers represent the destruction that is going to consume Westeros. The White Walkers are icy dead creatures that turn people into walking zombie-like digits that initiate destruction. For its Ultra Boost, ice blue is used on the prime knit surface, white Boost mid-sole and white rubber out-sole continue the theme with hints of black and the tagline, "Winter Is Here" to send a chill down your spine. via GIPHY
  18. The basketball shoe has inspired generations by evolving with time. It's now a tool for players to express themselves. Here are 5 of the greatest customised pairs of shoes worn by NBA players.
  19. Just as we begin to wrap our heads around all the madness that has followed ever since the 'Gully Boy' trailer dropped, Ranveer still manages to make heads turn every single time! If you thought the leopard print suit was extra enough for the man this week, you are underestimating this guy. So when Ranveer showed up at Soho house with a bunch of other celebrities, he definitely made a statement we can't disagree with! © Viral Bhayani © Gucci Ranveer was spotted wearing a Gucci Logo sweatshirt which is normal (our normal is definitely not his normal, TBH) for him but still costs a whopping 980 USD which converts to Rs. 69,751 only. NBD, right? But his shoes are what caught our attention the most. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He can be seen wearing the Adidas Pharrell Williams X BYW shoes. This is one of the 'Chinese New Year' celebration shoes launched by Adidas in January '19. Seems like our lad got a hand on these babies pretty early, huh? © sneakerbardetriot © sneakernews The unique collection is inspired by traditional Chinese New Year colour scheme of red and yellow with a red prime-knit upper covered in a fish scale-like embroidered pattern in yellow and gold detailing. Bold 'AMBITION' print runs on the forefoot, which is Pharrell's signature style of having motivational text on his collaborative shoes. There's a reason for everything. In Chinese culture, fish represents abundance, and a fish dish at dinner is an integral part of the festivities during Chinese New Year. 20. The seventeenth edition of the Asian Cup has been full of surprises. There were thrilling goals, exciting contests and shocking results. Favourites South Korea were handed an early exit after losing 1-0 to dark horses in the last eight. Australia lost their chance to defend their crown when they were eliminated from the quarterfinals at the hands of underdogs United Arab Emirates (UAE). But, while scintillating plays and unexpected results surely enticed the fans, the tournament, sadly, also witnessed a disgraceful episode which is now being touted as a new low in Asian football. The spirits of the home side - UAE - were high as they went past one opponent after another to eventually set up a date with their bitter Gulf rivals Qatar in the semifinals. But, this was more than just a game. It was the 'Blockade Derby' as dubbed by many ahead of the fixture. © AP A regional political dispute in 2017 saw Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt cutting all political, diplomatic and economic ties with Qatar. The quartet continues to accuse Qatar of supporting terrorism and destabilising the region - the charges Doha has consistently denied. A land, air and sea blockade on Qatar also meant that the private jet carrying the 25-player Qatari squad took a longer route and had to fly to the UAE via Kuwait. On the other hand, Qatari fans were also unable to attend the games and support their national team from the stands in the UAE, where showing sympathy for Qatar remains punishable with up to 15 years in jail. However, despite all the political drama and hindrances, the Qatari travelled to the UAE to participate in a tournament - that holds a rich legacy in Asia - and play a sport - which unites people across the globe. And, it was probably the political problems in the Middle East that saw a charged-up Qatari side stealing UAE's thunder in their own backyard and securing a spot in the final. Fans throwing shoes at the Qatari players after they score their 2nd goal ð² pic.twitter.com/zCxyhZeWOc — Jordan Gardner (@mrjordangardner) January 29, 2019 The home fans at the Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi had made their feelings clear when they booed the Qatar players and their national anthem before the game began. But, Boualem Khoukhi's strike in the 22nd minute didn't just shut the home fans, but probably got them agitated. And, as soon as Almoez Ali scored the second goal for Qatar 15 minutes later, the UAE fans began throwing shoes from the stands to interrupt the Qatari forward's celebration. They don't deserve to host the asian cup if that's how they behave !! No manners and no sport spirit — M (@Mazaaaj) January 29, 2019 From there on, every player that went to take corners for Qatar had to regularly deal with projectiles of shoes and bottles being thrown from the stands. And, things got worse for the hosts in the 80th minute when Hassan al-Haydos added a third in the 80th minute with a chip over the UAE goalkeeper. © AP Insult was added to indignity in stoppage time when UAE defender Ismail Ahmed was sent off following a VAR intervention for an elbow to the face of Salem Al-Hajri before Hamid Ismail's goal sealed the game for his side. This is bullsh*t, if this was fifa, they'd place a ban..and Fifa is trash! This is unacceptable, I can't count the number of times I have cursed at Messi #Russia2018 but I'll never throw shoes, it only ruins the game for everyone — Celeste/Celeste™ï¸ (@CelesteIsAnArmy) January 29, 2019 Following the fourth goal and a certain defeat of their team, the UAE fans erupted in anger, throwing more shoes and water bottles at the Qatari players who were celebrating their progress to the tournament's final where they'll take on four-time champions Japan on 1st February. Bad attitude reflects their behavior ,no wonder this is UAE — Fatima Al-Abdulla (@fmalabdulla) January 30, 2019 The demeanor of the UAE fans was not only unacceptable, but also disrespectful for the sport. Even if there are allegations against Qatar for supporting terrorism, the footballers playing on the pitch should be treated with respect. The Qatari players were just representing their country like the UAE side. And, most importantly, the political drama should not devour the spirit of the game.

Your trusted going out or office shoes deserve some love and care. Follow these tips to keep statement shoes look fresh as ever even after years of wear and tear: 1. Leather Shoes © theworldofshoes Shoe care: As the weather can be quite unpredictable, one must know how to protect their leather shoes when they get soaked. Air-drying helps release the moisture without damaging the shoe while blow-drying or heating makes the leather crack. © Amazon Polish: It depends on how often your shoes are being worn, but as a general rule of thumb, for shoes that you wear very often you should polish them once every week or two. Polish them using the same coloured polish and a soft bristled brush for a long-lasting effect. Storage: When it comes to your leather shoes, it's best to keep them stored in shoe bags. This way they won't scratch and tear, would be safe from dust and kept away from light. 2. Do not over soak the shoe. You could also use a suede brush and give the shoes a good brush. 25. We can't wait for February 14 to get here fast enough. Not just because it's Valentine's day but also because 'Gully Boy' is releasing. Ranveer Singh has dazzled us in the past year after truly transitioning himself from character to character as he hops from one mega film to the next. Now we love desi hip-hop because it's super relatable and we resonate with contextual reality it's grounded in. The terrifyingly honest lyrics in Ranveer's 'Apna time aayega' is a good example where desi hip hop is used to highlight an underdog's story that we all love. We're sure the film 'Gully Boy' will be true to its story. This time we spotted him with the Gully Gang, that is, with Naved Shaikh and Divine. Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to show the love.
