  1. 'Black Mirror' is all set to return with its fifth season, and the trailer just dropped. Just like every other season, this one looks super intense as well, however, what has captured our attention is the cast. American pop star Miley Cyrus plays one of the main roles, and we'll hopefully be finally able to gauge her full potential as an actor this time, post her Disney Channel stint as 'Hannah Montana' and a number of other movies that she has appeared in. © Netflix Among other notable names, Anthony Mackie, famous as 'Falcon' from MCU, will also be playing one of the protagonists this season. © Netflix As usual, the stories revolve around the impending doom the future holds, thanks to the technological advancements we have been abusing. Miley Cyrus's story seems to be particularly intense, where she is a performer. However, there is also a similar looking doll, that might lead to a crazy twist. © Netflix © Netflix © Netflix There are 3 new stories in this season, and the cast includes Anthony Mackie, Miley Cyrus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topher Grace, Damson Idris, Andrew Scott, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff, Angourie Rice, Madison Davenport and Ludi Lin. Directed by Charlie Brooker (of course), it will premiere on Wednesday, June 5th, exclusively on Netflix. We can't wait! Watch the trailer here.
  2. Vicky Kaushal will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar's project, playing the role of Udham Singh, a revolutionary who assassinated Michael O' Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab, in London, on 13 March 1940. This assassination was an act of revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919. The massacre deeply affected young Udham Singh who shot Michael O'Dwyer two decades later and was later hanged for murder. Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to share a shot of his character while filming. In the shot, he looks fierce with a visibly serious bruise under his eyes and a cold expression. View this post on Instagram Running my fingers through the bullet holes at Jallianwala Baug, little did I realise that I would one day get a chance to re-live and depict the anger and anguish of the lesser known martyr, revolutionary... SARDAR UDHAM SINGH. #SardarUdhamSingh @shoojitsircar @ronnie.lahiri #SheelKumar @writish1 #ShubenduBhattacharya #RisingSunFilms @sadarudhamfilm A post shared by Vicky Kaushal (@vickykaushal09) on Apr 29, 2019 at 11:05pm PDT In the picture he shared on Instagram, Vicky is dressed in a long trench coat and a sharp hat with slicked back hair and looks completely in character as a young Udham Singh. Vicky has played extremely versatile roles in the past. From an Army officer in 'Uri' and 'Raazi' to a carefree man in 'Manmarziyaan'. The talented actor has been extremely fluid in switching roles effortlessly. Besides completely nailing his look and getting into the skin of every character he plays, Vicky has always been exceptional in pulling off the role he is playing, and we can't wait to see what he does this time around with Sircar's film. Shoojit Sircar recently spoke about the project and told news agency IANS, "Udham's struggle and sacrifice is a very important story for today's audiences to be made aware of, and I have collaborated with my esteemed writers Riteish Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya, along with my friend and producer Ronnie Lahiri once again for this humble tribute to the maverick freedom fighter and his story." When asked about the casting of Udham Singh, Shoojit added, "Vicky is unquestionably one of the most dynamic actors we have today, and together, we shoulder great responsibility to deliver due justice in bringing alive this inspiring story on screen."
  3. After making people wait for almost two years, the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' is finally here and looks like no one is as excited about the show as us. But, it's the Indian parents who are the happiest today. Why? Because what they or the alarm clocks couldn't do for years, the makers of 'GOT' did it in a single day - make people wake up at 5 AM. © HBO Until last week, people were looking for ways to deal with Monday blues and finding excuses to sleep a few more minutes. But, today things have changed and the only blue people are concerned about are the Night King's eyes. © HBO Turns out Indians are super excited to watch the first episode of season 8, but for free. So, instead of logging into Hotstar premium, they were busy looking for free alternatives. For that most people woke up around 5 AM to try downloading the episode for free from Torrent. © Quartz According to a report in Quartz, between 5 AM and 9 AM, Google Trends showed that 'Torrent file' was a more popular keyword than 'Hotstar' in India. © Quartz In fact, torrent sites like 'DIRECTV' and its misspelling 'direct tv' were among the rising trends. Honestly, the fact that people are looking for free alternatives to watch the episode does not surprise me as much as the fact that they woke up at 5 AM to do it. I mean, people across the country were setting alarm for 5 AM and 6:30 AM, not to catch an early morning flight or study for exams, but to watch the first episode of 'Game Of Thrones' season 8. And not just any day, a Monday. If you think I am exaggerating and the insane craze is a big lie, check out the tweets here where people are posting screenshots of alarms. 4. The final season of 'Game Of Thrones' is coming sooner than we thought after a very tedious and a long wait. While we sure will miss the action and the nail-biting anticipation we have been experiencing through the years, let's look back at the biggest betrayals we witnessed during the course of these seven seasons, which basically just left us shook: 1. The Red Wedding- Horrific, aesthetically very disturbing and the fact that it was a wedding that turned gory left us gasping for breath. 2. Eddard Stark- Ironically enough, the season began with the Stark patriarch beheading someone and later getting the same fate for himself. It was heartbreaking to see the helpless father being beheaded by the family he thought was his ally. 3. Baelish & Sansa- While Karma came calling for Baelish correctly by the hands of Sansa herself, it was pretty sad when he promises to shield the lost girl and take her home safely but has his own ulterior motives behind the help. 4. Jon Snow And Night Watch- When Olly pushed Jon to his fate, the viewers felt the blow to their heart as well. The finale of season 5 broke hearts of all GOT lovers. 5. Stannis & Shireen – This betrayal was a low blow, even by GOT standards, as it was darker than we could actually think. Stannis agrees to oblige Mellisandre's wish for a sacrifice and his selfishness for his rule overcomes his love for his own daughter. Very hard to witness this one. 6. Theon & The Starks – When Balon is successful in pitting Theon against Robb, there is no looking back for this traitor. His insecurity takes over the better side of him and you kind of want to just punch him in the face at times. 7. Shae & Tyrion Lannister- The man who claims to know things and just drink, never saw the betrayal coming from the one woman he loved the most in the world. Shae's ending was kind of fitting, wasn't it? 8. Cersei & The High Sparrow- The High Sparrow lures her into trusting her, but the relationship leads to her own arrest. However, you never mess with this queen. The fate which followed her enemies at High Septon was a visual treat for a Cersei but a complete shocker for us.
  5. Donald Trump hasn't been the most popular President the United States has ever seen. Rather he became (in)famous for all the fallacious, absurd and often unacceptable things he says and does. 2018 stood witness to one such cruel undertaking by the Trump Government which led to a worldwide public outcry - that is, the Trump administration family separation policy. His “zero tolerance” policy for illegal immigrants caught crossing the US borders led to this savagery. These forced migrations led to the separation of thousands of young children from their parents and put into “detention centres” upon their arrival in the US under Trump's orders. They said they had arrived the evening before, waiting by the fence overnight to request asylum from US Border Patrol agents. #Immigration #gettyimages #gettyimagesnews pic.twitter.com/Lsj6P1gW8i — John Moore (@jbmoorephoto) February 4, 2019 Veteran Getty photographer John Moore was clicking photos of US Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley on June 12, 2018, when he encountered a “caravan” of migrants who were trying to cross the US border. During this time, Moore had taken a picture of a Honduran mother Sandra Sanchez and her daughter Yanela illegally crossing the US-Mexico border. (c) Twitter (c) Getty Images The picture showed the haunting image of a 2-year-old girl crying under panic as the pair was taken into custody by US border officials. The picture was circulated worldwide and led to a public outcry over the controversial policy to separate thousands of migrants and their children. Moreover, the public furore from around the world "resulted in President Donald Trump reversing the policy in June last year," the judges said. Its not that difficult to go under the fence from Tijuana, but the US Border Patrol has a heavy presence on the San Diego side, and there's double fencing. It's one of the most secure sectors of the 2,000 mile border. #caravanadelmigrante #gettyimages #Immigration #undocumented pic.twitter.com/OjR7V1qY47 — John Moore (@jbmoorephoto) December 7, 2018 The photograph is indeed a powerful representation of the incomparable amount of suffering and pain, both physical and psychological, many families have had to live through.

(@bunnytokyo) on Mar 28, 2019 at 5:00am PDT In all honesty, we couldn't agree more. However, this year's cherry blossom season in Japan came with a unique twist of fate. The intricate pink blossoms bloomed sooner than their usual blooming cycle. Why? It is all thanks to the above average temperature during autumn last year, that is responsible for this change in their blooming clock. A report on 'Travel Leisure' suggests that higher than usual temperatures in 2018 is making the flowers bloom sooner than before in parts of the country. In simpler terms that means that climate change is impacting with the blooming cycle of cherry blossoms. From warmer summers and colder winters, to melting glaciers, rising seawater levels, sudden flash floods to wildfires, and of course species of flora and fauna getting extinct, the list in a long and disheartening one. 7. Netflix released the trailer of 'Delhi Crime' which traces the events of the unfortunate Nirbhaya rape case of December 2012. The seven part series stars Shefali Shah who plays Varthika Chaturvedi, a police officer who headed the investigation and takes the audience deep into the entire investigation of the case which shook the nation in grave horror. On 16th December 2012, a young woman was returning home with her friend when she was gang raped by six men in a bus and the two friends were thrown to die on the road later. The event stirred a nation wide protest and pressurised the government and the police to push for justice for the girl and her family. © Netflix Shefali has done a stellar job with the role and this trailer gives us a glimpse of what actually happened during the chase and run between the police and the criminals, the state of the girl's family, and the nation wide protests which reflected the brutal frustration of the common man with the loopholes of the system in India. Our country is still known as one of the most unsafe countries for women in the world and it's high time we, as a nation, do something about it. The series premieres on 22nd March on Netflix.
  8. Internet is a bizarre place. Here anyone can become famous at the click of a button, sometimes even the ones who didn't do anything to get that attention. Remember the time when Coldplay performed in Mumbai and desi fans made a wrong Chris Martin trend, because they share the same name? Or the time when Sonu Nigam said something controversial and people started cursing Sonu Sood? Something similar has happened now with Sunny Leone. View this post on Instagram One last stop before my night is done. #CarDiaries A post shared by Sunny Leone (@sunnyleone) on Feb 12, 2019 at 9:56am PST I am sure even the 'Jism 2' actor must be confused right now as to why is she trending for an exam she never gave. Well, turns there are two people with the name Sunny Leone in the country. One is a successful actress and an entrepreneur; the other one is a 27-year-old from Bihar, who recently topped the Bihar Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). Bihar's PHED released a provisional merit list of candidates for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE) and that's how we came to know about her. Sunny Leone version 2.0 not only qualified the exam, but also topped it with a total score of 98.5 points. She scored 73.5 education points and 25 experience points. According to the picture, Sunny Leone is the daughter of Leona Leone. Reportedly, she will now serve the state as junior civil engineer. The recruitment exam was conducted from January 15 to January 31, 2019 and a total of 17911 candidates have qualified the exam. While Sunny Leone's name has kind of stirred a storm on the internet, we honestly don't even know if the list is credible or not. Why? Because right below Sunny's name, there's another candidate 'bvcxzbnnb' who has ranked third in the exam. But, we're sure both the Sunny Leones are enjoying the attention they are getting right now.
  9. Netizens went crazy last evening when Anushka Sharma's American doppelganger surfaced on the internet. Given that he also happens to be the latest craze that has gripped the nation, apart from the likes of Vicky Kaushal and Pankaj Tripathi who are enjoying the highs of success, recognition and a growing fanbase that only seems to be getting bigger and stronger by the day. A photograph of a man called Chintu Tyagi from Lucknow has surfaced on social media, who seems to share very similar features to Kartik, and can be seen dressed in a plain checkered shirt and moss green pants. 11. We don't know 'Gully Boy' ka time kab aayega but Ranveer ka time definitely aa gaya. 'Gully Boy' has taken over the country ever since the first trailer announcement dropped. Ranveer rapping is something we didn't know we needed so badly until now and the trailer just increased the anticipation for the movie even more. The movie is obviously about music - more specifically the underground rap scene in India - so the songs are an essential part of the promotion. We got a little snippet of 'Asli Hip Hop' before but now the first full song from 'Gully Boy' is also here. 'Apna Time Aayega' released today and it has been getting so many great reactions since then. People have been talking about the song since morning and everyone can't stop talking about how Ranveer never fails to surprise the world with every new movie. I don't know if I should even be shocked anymore but I am. I'm gobsmacked. What the **** was that! What is @RanveerOfficial up to! What... 12. The anticipation and hype around Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gully Boy' has been insane ever since the first posters came out! But more recently with the release of the teaser, and the glimpse it gave of the rising rap-star played by Ranveer, the movie has taken the entire nation by storm! 'Asli Hip Hop' has made its way to every rap and hip-hop music-lover's heart, and fans simply can't keep calm for the trailer to come out tomorrow. Yes, you read that just right. And if you hadn't made the connections thus far, we suggest you check out the teaser once more, and do a basic Google search for '8 Mile' and we bet the connections will leave you as shook! Multiple frames, right from Ranveer hyping up the crowd during a stage performance, to the hoodie-wearing swagger through a dimly-lit, shady part of town, the scenes scream '8 Mile' on multiple occasions! © Twitter Twitter has declared that 'Gully Boy' might just be the desi rip-off of '8 Mile' and here is how they expressed their opinions on the platform. Thakkar (@Juvenile_Jack) January 4, 2019 Yeah the mirror scene is def inspired from 8 mile but still I stand my ground man. For it to be promoted as a homage to 8 mile, it should be a remake or fully inspired by it and I'm sure Gullyboy's world is different than 8 mile's. — Mister Sinister (@flyman0017) January 8, 2019 Watched the trailer for #GullyBoy and @RanveerOfficial reminded me of @Eminem in 8 Mile ð§ .. 13. Sports and scandals go together like peanut butter and jam. 2018 has been a year of some of the most excruciating controversies, bold allegations and career-endangering statements. Here's a peek at the topmost fiery quotes that made the biggest headlines in the sports sector this year: 1. Virat Kohli Asks A Cricket Fan To 'Leave India': Nobody knows controversies like Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who found himself in a hot soup this year when he appeared in a video saying, “I don't think you should live in India, go live somewhere else" which obviously went viral. In context, Kohli was responding to a cricket fan's message in which he says that he enjoys watching English and Australian batsmen over “these Indians”. The fan also called Kohli an “overrated batsman.” "Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? I don't mind you not liking me, but I don't think you should live in our country and like other things," said the skipper. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries" pic.twitter.com/YbPG97Auyn — Saj Sadiq (@Saj_PakPassion) November 6, 2018 Not able to control the situation, Kohli uploaded an image captioned “I guess trolling isn't for me guys, I'll stick to getting trolled!” in his defence. 2. Serena Williams' War On Sexism: We saw a budding star all set to take centre stage when 21-year-old Naomi Osaka won the US Open against probably the most dominant force in women's tennis, Serena Williams. But, that wasn't what the evening went on to be about. When Williams shot out saying, “You stole a point from me, you are a thief too!” to the US Open Final's umpire Carlos Ramos, an uproar on social media was spurred, deeming the umpires to be biased and sexist towards female players. Serena's elder sister, Venus Williams has also had her fair share of beef with Ramos back in 2016, when he accused her of receiving coaching during a match in the French Open, to which Venus replied “I'm 36 years old… I play fair.” 3. Martina Navratilova's Transphobic Rant: Former grand-slam champion Martina Navratilova took the world by surprise when she said, “Having a ***** and competing as a woman would not fit that standard.” Branding her comments as 'bullying' and 'discriminatory', Twitter brought her to social justice when she was forced to make a public apology. She went on to say that she would educate herself better on this issue and in the “meantime, will be quiet about it.” I am sorry if I said anything anywhere near transphobic- certainly I meant no harm - I will educate myself better on this issue but meantime I will be quiet about it. Thank you — Martina Navratilova (@Martina) December 21, 2018 4. Lewis Hamilton's 'Poor India' Comment: 2018 belonged to the five-time world champion until the point when he basically called India “a poor place” in an interview with BBC. “I've been to India before to a race which was strange because India was such a poor place yet we had this massive, beautiful Grand Prix track made in the middle of nowhere,” said the legend. “I felt very conflicted when I went to that Grand Prix.” Clearly, Indian fans of the sport didn't take to this very kindly. Twitter erupted as soon as the interview was made public. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff came in his defence stating that Hamilton's earlier words and meaning had been "spun out of context". Please read ð®ð³â¤ï¸ pic.twitter.com/UtXRvcP74A — Lewis Hamilton (@LewisHamilton) November 15, 2018 "He spoke with empathy about India and the painful contrast between wealth and poverty that we face while travelling the globe as sporting ambassadors," the Austrian said in a statement issued by the reigning champions.
  14. This year is going to close with a bang for all 'Black Mirror' fans as Netflix just dropped the much-awaited trailer of the film 'Bandersnatch' and needless to say, we are shook! 'Bandersnatch' is being called a 'Black Mirror' event and is set in the 1980s. It follows the story of a programmer called Stefan who is trying to build a game of his own. His fate is dictated and is not in control of what we see as he flushes out his medicines and continues enduring the madness around him. This insane movie is being helmed by David Slade. © Netflix Fans are going crazy over the trailer right now. 15. When most people were wondering where the year 2018 went by, we were busy compiling the list of some of the biggest events and people who broke the internet this year. From Netflix's love affair with Radhika Apte, Chai Pilo Aunty's infectious wave to Stan Lee's demise, here is a compilation of all the people and events that shook the nation and the world like no one else. Ayushmann Khurrana © Instagram Ayushmann Khurrana is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in Bollywood. And he proved the same this year, with two back-to-back superhits, 'AndhaDhun' and 'Badhaai Ho'. Where Bollywood's biggest Khans failed to impress the audience at the box office, Ayushmann single-handedly slayed and emerged as the dark horse of the race. Bohemian Rhapsody © 20th century fox Not the song, but the movie made a remarkable entry in to 2018 and stole the show. A fine tribute to the crazy glam band of the 80s, Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody depicted the life and death of Freddie Mercury, the lead vocalist of the then band. Chai Pilo Fraandz © YouTube If "Hello Fraandz, Chai Pilo...Garam Hai" doesn't ring a bell, then you have been missing out on the best thing in the world. A random woman called Somvati Mahawar, whom we don't even know, asks us to have tea (that is hot), and soon enough the whole country starts accepting her invite and turns her into an internet celebrity. Social media is a weirdly interesting place to be in right now. Donald Trump © Twitter Well, we've seen a lot of Mr. Trump this year but we can't get over the fact that his name appears on Google when you type 'Idiot'. When Sunder Pichai, the CEO of Google was asked the same question, he gave us an answer straight up describing how words typed on Google work on relevance, popularity and keywords, primarily. We bet Trump disagrees though. Elon Musk © Twitter Well, he's been up to a lot this year and we're never gonna run out of a good Elon Musk adventure! From wishing to move to Mars (yes, the planet) on one of his SpaceX rockets, to smoking weed with Joe Rogan on a podcast, this dude's quite the mad hatter. Recently, he also shared his love for the movie 'Bajirao Mastani' and we will never stop writing about him for sure. France Winning The FIFA World Cup © Reuters This year's Football World Cup was probably the most unpredictable sports event the world has ever seen. This was the tournament of the 'Underdogs', where even the fans couldn't figure out who will win the finals, until the last minute of the game. One of the biggest suprises was the final between France and Croatia, where France clinched its second World Cup by 4-2. Google Hearing © Reuters You can always trust Google to help you out when you need it the most. But, there are times when even the world's largest search engine can totally f**k things up for you. From drawing stark comparison between North and South Indian masala, showing Donald Trump's image when you type 'Idiot', to showing PM Modi as India's first PM, Google was in the middle of a few storms this year. Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai, was even summoned by the US lawmakers to explain how it works. Hima Das © Reuters The 18-year-old prodigy won a gold for us at the IAAF World Under-20 Athletic Championships and she was the first Indian woman to do it. We can't stop gloating about it and it's definitely worth a mention. What an achievement in such a short amount of time! Infinity War © Marvel Studios 2018 was the year of superheroes, but if there was anyone who got the whole world wrapped around their superpower-laden fingers, it was the gang of superheroes from the Marvel universe. 'Avengers: Infinity War' was and will remain the biggest crossover the world has ever seen, even bigger than Priyanka-Nick's wedding. Juventus © YouTube The Portuguese superstar footballer Cristiano Ronaldo made his move to Juventus this year from Real Madrid for a total of £105 million. The former Manchester United man won a total of four champions league titles in the Spanish capital and shocked many who thought that he would end his career there. Kiki Challenge © YouTube When most of us were stuck in traffic and cribbing about travelling from Delhi to Gurugram, some people were busy confessing their love to Kiki in the most bizarre and dangerous way possible. Yes, we are talking about the viral Kiki Challenge that took the whole country by storm. This was the year's most dangerous challenge, where people were willingly risking their lives to get a few minutes of thrill and fame. Luka Modric © Reuters After guiding Croatia to their first football World Cup final, Luka Modric, the midfielder maestro sent ripples across the footballing world after winning the FIFA Player of The Year, ending the Ronaldo-Messi decade-long reign at the top of the pile. #MeToo © Instagram Actress Tanushree Dutta's story led to the #MeToo movement to pick up pace in India and opened the doors to a fresh set of debate sessions. After she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleassss', many women found power and courage to come forward and share their harrowing experiences of sexual abuse by the men in power. From 'Sanskaari Babuji' Alok Nath to 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl, almost every day someone or the other was found guilty of harassing women. Netflix © Netflix From 'Sacred Games', 'Ghoul' to 'Lust Stories'; 2018 was the year of Netflix and Radhika Apte. The love affair between Radhika and Netflix was so evident that after a point Netflix started trolling everyone who made fun of Radhika for being 'Omnipresent'. Because according to Netflix, "Whatever the role, Radhika apt hai." Osho © Realisation 2018 decided to throw some light on the controversial '***' guru Bhagwan Shri Rajneesh aka Osho and talk about his life, through a well-rounded documentary called 'Wild Wild Country'. The documentary also describes Ma Anand Sheela's contribution toward building a fabulous empire in Wasco County, Oregon, USA. The documentary came out on Netflix and took the cinematic world by storm! Priya Prakash Varrier © YouTube When we say social media is a bizarre place, we mean it. Here people can literally wink their way into our hearts and become a celebrity overnight. The 19-year-old became so popular that she even dethroned Sunny Leone to become Google's most searched personality this year. If only our wink game was this strong, we would have probably made it to the list too, right? QueerRights377 © Reuters It was a milestone year for the LGBTQ community with the landmark decision of Supreme Court decriminalising same *** relationships. That's a massive victory for the community in a country like India and we couldn't be happier. Truly, #lovewins! Rakhi Sawant © Instagram We are not even remotely close to kidding when we say that the second half of 2018 was 'owned' by Rakhi Sawant. From challenging a wrestler to a dance-off and getting knocked out instead to announcing her wedding to 'King of cringe' Deepak Kalal, Rakhi Sawant won the internet by doing things that most of us can't even dare to imagine. Stan Lee © Reuters We lost a 'marvel'ous hero this year and we're not done grieving yet. The creator of the Marvel Universe breathed his last in November and passed away at 95. After successfully creating the likes of Iron Man, Spider Man and even Black Panther, Lee was the best thing to happen to the comic book revolution of the world! Excelsior, indeed! T-Series Vs PewDiepie © YouTube, Twitter 2018 was the year of unexpected events and one of them was the war between T-Series and PewDiePie, to become the number one channel of YouTube. With 78 million subscribers, PewDiePie continues to remain the YouTube king, but T-Series is not one to give in so easily. The channel is currently at 77 million and we can't wait for the day when the Indian music label dethrones him. UFC 299: Conor McGregor v Khabib Nurmagomedov © Reuters Dubbed as the biggest bout of 2018, the fight ended in total chaos. Soon after Khabib dismantled McGregor, he uncharacteristically jumped out of the ring and attacked some members from the Irish contingent. Even McGregor took some blows, but didn't file a police complaint in the aftermath. Round 2 in 2019, maybe? Vicky Kaushal © Instagram This was definitely Vicky Kaushal's year, with some thrilling and magnificent performances in movies like Raazi, Manmarziyaan and Sanju. Can't wait for some great performances by him in 2019, starting with 'Uri' of course. Weddings Of The Year © Instagram From 'DeepVeer ki Shaadi' and Isha Ambani's wedding to 'Sonam Ki Shaadi' and the Priyanka-Nick gala; this year was the year of regal and royal big-fat Indian weddings and the multiple receptions that followed. Even if most of us were not invited to all these weddings (not that we were expecting an invite), we are sure that by now everyone knows what food was served at these weddings, what cake they ate and everything about their wedding outfits. X-Overs - Biggest Crossovers Of 2018 © Instagram 2018 was the year of crossovers, not only in the Marvel Universe but also in real life between Hollywood and Bollywood. Who would have imagined that Beyonce will perform in India this year, but it happened at Isha Ambani's wedding. As sudden and unexpected as it gets, Nick Jonas became the national jiju and Sansa Stark wore a lehenga at a wedding (which wasn't a red wedding). What's more, Drake turned out to be a Suneil Shetty fan who watched 'Mubarakan' three times on Athiya's birthday. Yogi Adityanath © Twitter Well, this gentleman has been in the news for all the wrong reasons and he's still managing to make a cut in our A-Z 2018 list. It seems the only thing Yogi does, other than wanting to build a memorial for the South Korean Queen, is rename places in UP and give them a saffron persona. Well, let's hope 2019 changes things around for him. Zayn Malik © Instagram After his break up with Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik was asked other pertinent questions about his life this year. The prolific singer-songwriter claimed that he isn't a Muslim and that he never 'professed to be a Muslim' in the first place, to stir up an online storm. Well, he just wears desi clothes for Eid, but who's questioning that right?

  18. For decades now, Bata has had us covered when it comes to classic, simple and comfortable formal shoes. If you are not living under a rock, then you'd remember how the shoe masters had Kriti Sanon mesmerized with their fashion-forward range of shoes that she could flaunt on the red carpet or during a night out. And after her pleasant experience, she decided to open Sushant Singh Rajput's eyes to the makeover that the brand has undergone. The film starts with Sanon waiting on Rajput to get ready for a party. In the haste of making it on time, he forgets to change his footwear and comes out wearing shoddy looking slip-ons. They decide to buy a new pair on the way from Bata. Rajput takes a jab at the suggestion - because they weren't going to office now, were they? As the film progresses, we see that it would be an understatement to say that he was left absolutely shook! After all, the new collection is aptly named #SurprisinglyBata. The new casual collection with mesh, flyknit and Lycra materials and light-weight soles not only ups your cool quotient but also offers comfort and value for those who love the trendy and casual look. The collection, available in both low cut and high ankles, come in a wide variety of colours- from navy, beige, brown to olive. So no matter where you're headed - a date or a party, Bata will have you covered. 19. For starters, rumours have it that the final season premiere has been pushed further from April to October or November of 2019, so we pray it is not true because for years, our brains have been designed to function in a way that come April, and all we can do is talk about GOT on Mondays, right? © HBO Moving on from this crisis situation, the first footage from the next season is here and while it is not a teaser but it is like two drops of blood on a vampire's tongue, you watch it and you are like 'Where's the rest, bro?' HBO released a long video where snippets from all its shows are presented in a montage and you can spot Jon Snow and Khaleesi chatting, there's Cersei in her angry mode and her brother Jaime sitting and brooding. The season might be months away but the plethora of theories that are doing the rounds have given us plenty of time to just think about what will happen and what not. Have you heard of the connection between Jon Snow and the Night King ? And then there is this interesting theory about Khal Drogo being resurrected. Well, this tiny teaser has left a lot of thoughts in our brain and April seems too far already!
  20. The final season of everyone's favourite 'Game Of Thrones' is still going to take a while before it hits our screens and blows us away with what it has to offer, in terms of the many questions that are hanging on our heads like daggers. © HBO While the wait is crazy and it's less than a year (as if that's a consolation) left when we'll shun social life for decrypting episodes, a bizarre new theory about the insane connection between Jon Snow and the Night King is doing the rounds on Reddit. Let's discuss what everyone is expecting from the finale. A major chunk of the fan population feels that Jon Snow will reign, Khaleesi will unite and have a family of her own with him, Cersei will be defeated and it's going to be one happy ending for our guy who was previously unlucky in love with Ygritte. However, if history is proof then we know that the makers do anything that is ever predictable and everyone changes sides like a game of chess. © HBO According to this bizarre new theory, Jon Snow will be the end of the Night King and will replace him, and not just kill him. Allow yourself a breather and read this before you react: “Someone has to 'pull out' the dragon-glass in his chest which was used to create him in the first place. By doing this the Night King would 'die,' but unlike what happens when someone kills a 'normal' white walker, none of the creatures the Night king 'created' or turned would die. Instead they would lose the mind controlling effect the Night King has on them, and they would start doing whatever the f*ck they want, i.e. rampaging around the country. To prevent this scenario from happening someone has to take the place of the Night King by stabbing himself with the previously extracted dragonglass-dagger. By doing this the person (in our mind Jon Snow) would sacrifice himself for the greater good, gaining control over all of the wights and walkers. He then would lead them back over the wall back into the north where they would stay like it has been before since the last long night (like a beast in a cage).” Now we know that Jon Snow is the ever-sacrificing, people-loving King; so this actually makes sense if you allow this theory to persist. © HBO So I am adding this theory to the list of things that have addled our brains and made the wait harder that it already was.
  21. The success of 'Baaghi 2' took many by surprise. Tiger Shroff rose as an actor, who did what many could not, and ruled the box office. The film was loved by millions and people were shook seeing Tiger's action-packed avatar. The movie not only earned big bucks at the box office but became the biggest opener of 2018, defeating Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movies in the process. The CGI work in 'Baaghi 2' and Tiger's incredible stunts created a buzz for all the right reasons. There is no doubt that the actor owns the action space and there is no one who can compete with him. © FoxStarHindi Not many know this, but the actor worked really hard for every stunt and action scene. Tiger is trained in martial arts and most of the times, perform his stunts on his own. He is not one of those who uses stuntmen or body doubles, now how cool is that? For the second installment of the popular franchise, the actor had undergone intense physical training. For the film, the actor learned various forms of martial arts, gymnastics and took special weapon training lessons as well. Believe it or not, the actor shot for the action sequences for 78 days and trained for 476 hours and of course, the end result was remarkable. © Instagram If this was his preparation for 'Baaghi 2', one can only expect it to get more intense for the third part. With an aim to outdo its previous installment, director Ahmed Khan has decided to send Tiger to a military boot camp in Syria, where he will be receiving lessons on artillery training. The director wants more virtuosity and finesse in the upcoming movie. Talking about the same, a source close to the maker told Mid-Day, "Ahmed wants Tiger to be attuned to heavy artillery for 'Baaghi 3'. In the course of his research for the movie, Ahmed found out that Syria has great training camps. So, on his insistence, Tiger will head to a military camp there in November, where he will be taught to use weapons like M16, AT4 and rocket launchers." © FoxStarHindi And that's not it, as the maker also aims at shooting 'Baaghi 3' in Syria. The director has already started working on the script and will be shooting a crucial portion of it in the Middle-East. Well, looking at the present political scenario and the intense atmosphere there, the makers will have to wait and see if shooting will be possible. However, we are sure that Tiger will surpass his own performance and set the bar even higher for everyone else in the industry.
