  1. "This is one of New Zealand's darkest days," Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said, as the country mourns the loss of people who were killed in the attacks on two Christchurch mosques. On Friday, the prayers of worshippers at a mosque turned into screams after a gunman mercilessly opened fire. According to the New Zealand Police, the death toll has risen over 40 and nearly 20 people have been injured. © Reuters However, this terror attack has landed famous YouTuber PewDiePie in trouble. Reportedly, out of the multiple terrorists who conducted the mass shooting, one of the gunmen live-streamed the attack and in the video he asked people to subscribe to PewDiePie. Yes, PewDiePie. The same YouTuber who has the highest number of subscribers and was recently in news for fighting with Ekta Kapoor on social media and competing with T-Series in the race for subscribers. "Remember lads, subscribe to Pewdiepie," the gunman reportedly said. © AP We're not saying PewDiePie is related to this attack in any way nor are we trying to troll or defame him. But, given his history of racist and controversial humour, people can't help but connect the dots. However, post the heinous attack and the mention of his channel in the live stream, PewDiePie has now reacted to it and says he feels 'sickened' that his name was uttered by the person. He wrote on Twitter, "Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch. I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person. My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy." Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch. I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person. My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy. — ƿ૯ωá«É¿à«¯Æ¿É¿à«¯ (@pewdiepie) March 15, 2019 According to a report in India Today, the gunman apparently visited 8Chan before murdering people on Friday and left this message there "Please do your part by spreading my message, making memes and shit-posting as you usually do." Our hearts go out to the families who lost their loved ones in this deadly terror attack and we hope that people of New Zealand get the strength to live through this dark time.
