  1. Following a crazy bidding war last December, the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to enthral cricket fans as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) host Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the opening clash on 23rd March. With the opening match pitting two of the biggest cricketers Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni against each other, the fans have already begun placing their bets on their favourite team on the social media. Despite the general elections coinciding with the upcoming IPL season, the fact that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has carefully ensured that the matches are played in India, further cheered the home fans. With IPL 2019 just a month away, the buzz amongst the fans in anticipation of the upcoming season appears to be at an all-time high. ð¨ Announcement ð¨: The #VIVOIPL schedule for the first two weeks is out. The first match of the 2019 season will be played between @ChennaiIPL and @RCBTweets Details - https://t.co/wCi6dYHlXL pic.twitter.com/TaYdXNKVSx — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) February 19, 2019 In a bid to get their hands at the prized tickets of the IPL matches, a lot of fans seem to be approaching popular celebrities and cricket bigwigs on the social media, seeking their help. One such hilarious incident has been brought to the limelight by Ishant Sharma's wife Pratima Singh on social media. After going unsold at the auctions last season, Ishant's improved performance with the Indian team in Test cricket helped him in finding a suitor in Delhi Capitals who fought with Rajasthan Royals in the bidding war to secure the services of the seamer for Rs 1 crore. But, while Ishant is busy preparing to live up to his price tag this season, his wife Pratima - a professional basketball player - has found herself tackling the absurd requests of fans. Taking to Instagram, she shared a screenshot of the conversation with a fan who sought her help for the tickets. "For the world its yey !!! IPL is coming, for cricketers and their family OMG IPL is coming !! Log Tickets le liye phone karenge (people will call for tickets, Tickets maangege (ask for tickets), tickets - tickets - tickets," Pratima captioned the picture. With Ishant being one of the few experienced Indian players who'll not be seen playing in the forthcoming ICC World Cup in May, the Delhi paceman will be eager to reaffirm his credentials with a fine showing for his new franchise in the upcoming IPL season.
  2. If fashion students are told that for a masterclass in maximalism, they can choose only one person as their reference subject, no one should really have any trouble choosing that person. Ranveer Singh fits the bill effortlessly, but the thing that always keeps him relevant is the unassuming manner in which he carries off everything, like he doesn't even realize that it's 'not ordinary' and 'extra'. It's like he feels at home wearing stuff that other people won't even dare to in their wildest dreams, and that is what sets him apart. One important thing about his wild ensembles is that they teach us inclusivity. Right from wearing skirts and Angrakhas to his wedding to wearing ensembles that outright looked like 'Ghagras', this man has always been so secure about his masculinity, that he never paid heed to naysayers on what 'men should not wear'. The latest instance had him wear a pair of boots with high heels to an award show, and owning the look like a boss. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Who won't want to look as graceful on a red carpet? Plus, heels, of course, makes one look taller than they are. Only if every man was as easygoing as Ranveer to actually try it out and reap the benefits. © Instagram/Asiavisionawards © Viral Bhayani Coming to his outfit, we love the turquoise snakeskin patterned suit by Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna. Plus, it fits him like a second skin! © Viral Bhayani © Instagram/Asiavisionawards All we can say is, Ranveer Singh legit is the fashion icon everyone should learn a thing or two from, even if they aren't on board with everything he wears.
  3. Ever since his decision to turn professional four years ago, Indian boxer Vijender Singh has enjoyed an undefeated 10-0 winning streak while having bagged the WBO Asia Pacific and Oriental Super Middleweight titles. View this post on Instagram Still in the ring ðð½ð®ð³ #10yearchallenge #boxing #india #instagram A post shared by Vijender Singh (@singhvijender) on Jan 17, 2019 at 1:21am PST With Lee Markham pulling out of the 13th July 2018 fight and although Singh's UK promoters were looking for a new alternative, nothing formidable came of it as Singh has not fought in a professional ring since December 2017. Now after over one year of inactivity, the Indian champ has decided to take his talents to the United States, the land of opportunities. Known for producing some of the best athletes with the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and now Floyd Mayweather Jr., the US has been known as the ultimate dream destination for all the bouters looking for greatness. The 10-0 boxer is moving to the States in hopes of fighting the biggest active names in the business and according to the Times of India, is hoping to go 50-0 throughout his career, a feat achieved only by the great 'Money' Mayweather. View this post on Instagram I got a new jet for my birthday #AirMayweather #TMT Photo Credit: @tmtpilot A post shared by Floyd Mayweather (@floydmayweather) on Feb 24, 2018 at 8:39pm PST But exactly how difficult is that going to be? Beginning with the fact that going undefeated throughout your entire is next to impossible, what could be a challenge bigger than Singh's opponents is his age. Mayweather was 11-0 when he was just 20, 13 years younger than what the Indian boxer is today. By the time the American boxer had turned 33, he was already 42-0. Also, now that he has decided to move to Los Angeles, the home to brilliant fighters like Canelo Álvarez and Michael Fielding who compete on a level much higher than Singh was used to during his time in the UK, his technique and finishing abilities will be put to test. Not to doubt the Indian boxer's talents, who is missing the square ring and is desperate for his next brawl, we'd like to wish him all the luck in the world for his move to the city of angels.
  4. Ranveer Singh is one of the most eminent personalities of Bollywood. The man has an almost unbelievable hit-to-flop ratio and is married to one of the most beautiful and successful actresses in the country. It's practically impossible to dislike him (although, as a guy, you could feel a tad bit jealous sometimes), simply on account of how grounded, and funny he is. But the one thing that sets him apart from all his contemporaries is his asli-pan ('Gully Boy' reference, guys, catch up). He is real, he is raw, he is bahut hard, and that's the sort of attitude Ranveer Singh exudes. Here are all the times he has proved that we need to be more like him, which is more real, more asli: 1. Display of Affection Pinterest Whether it's a public display of affection or private, Ranveer has shown time and again that he is not afraid to express his love for his wife, Deepika Padukone. From coming down on the media for being unreasonable in reporting her life to flying to LA to be with her on her birthday amid tight filming schedules, he has done it all. 2. Fashion Style Pinterest If there's one guy in Bollywood who wears whatever he wants to without giving two hoots of what others think of him, it's Ranveer. Every time he has worn an outlandish piece of clothing, he has managed to set not just fashion goals, but also major confidence goals. Dare to be like him? 3. Trying Out New Things Pinterest If you've followed Ranveer's career, you will see the versatility in his choice of work. From playing a chocolate boy in 'Band Baaja Baarat' to a con man in 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl', from a soft-spoken poet in 'Lootera' to the animalistic Khilji in 'Padmaavat', he has done it all! We need to emulate this urge of trying new things in life ourselves. Because what's life without experiments? BORING, that's what it is. 4. Being Humble Pinterest Ranveer Singh is a superstar. He is a brand in himself and yet when you see him talk to people, you realise how grounded he is. He actually catches up with the paparazzi instead of shunning them away, as most celebs do. And you know it's real when you see it. 5. Excitement Over (The Best) Little Things In Life Did you know that KFC has launched a bunless burger in India? Now, that's a juicy piece of news has got me super excited and turns out, Ranveer is psyched about it too. His unapologetic excitement on finding out about the Double Down burger is absolutely contagious. And understandably too, I mean, KFC is taking the crispiness (and chicken-ness!) of their burgers a notch higher by completely removing the bun. Have a look: Well, Ranveer surely knows that one's love for tasty chicken is forever and nothing, absolutely nothing, should get in the way; not even the bun!
  5. The poster of 'Gully Boy' says 'Apna Time Ayega', but millions of his fans have confirmed that Bollywood's livewire aka Ranveer Singh's time has already come. Ranveer Singh's rapping skills were making people go crazy even before the movie had released and now that it has hit the theatres, his fans can't keep calm. Excel Entertainment Bollywood is already in awe of Ranveer's performance in 'Gully Boy' and now people from Hollywood are also fanboying over him. The latest addition to his humongous fanbase is 'The Pursuit Of Happyness' actor Will Smith. View this post on Instagram Behold the Big Williest! ðð¾ @willsmith #legend A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Oct 7, 2018 at 6:27am PDT The same guy who was seen chilling with Ranveer and Karan Johar last year in Mumbai and even drove an autorickshaw during his visit. The same guy who will now be seen in Disney's 'Aladdin' as Genie. Instagram Will Smith took to Instagram to praise Ranveer's performance and said, "Yo Ranveer! Congrats man. I am loving what you doing. Gully Boy". He adds, "I have seen old school hip hop, seen hip hop all over the world. I am loving it. Go get it." Alia Bhatt too posted Smith's message on her Instagram. “ Yo Ranveer congrats man I am loving what you're doing with Gullyboy for me old school hip hop here seeing hip hop all over the world like that I am loving it man congrats “ - Will Smith to Ranveer Singh - OMGGGG!!!!! ð♥ï¸♥ï¸ pic.twitter.com/AzZWjDmZLk — RanveerSingh TBTð (@RanveerSinghtbt) February 16, 2019 Honestly, now we can't wait for Ranveer and Will Smith to have a rap face-off on 'Apna Time Aayega'. Within two days of its release, 'Gully Boy' has reportedly already made Rs. 32 crore at the box office. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' starring Ranveer as Murad is a story about an aspiring rapper and is loosely based on the lives of Mumbai rappers Divine and Naezy.
  6. When it comes to Twitter, sometimes people just can't seem to keep their hands off their phones (cough *Kapil Sharma*). And now, it seems like Riteish Deshmukh has caught the same virus. After a hilarious twitter banter with Ajay Devgn, Riteish has now diverted his attention towards Ranveer Singh and his quirky fashion sense, as the 'Total Dhamaal' actor took to Twitter to troll the 'Gully Boy' star. Ranveer's out of the box fashion sense has often proved to be a bait to lure memes, and Riteish didn't shy away from making one. He shared a picture from the sets of 'Dil Dhadakne Do' where Ranveer is dressed in subtle, neutral coloured shirt and pants. The image was captioned, “Ranveer Singh at a fancy dress competition. #ApnaTimeAyeega” .@RanveerOfficial at a Fancy Dress Competition #ApnaTimeAyeega pic.twitter.com/6MOgrDd3s0 — Riteish Deshmukh (@Riteishd) February 13, 2019 We're happy that finally, someone from the industry gathered the courage to take a dig at Ranveer's dressing sense, although he's been a favourite fodder for memesters for a very long time. 7. Ranveer Singh is, well, 'not regular', when it comes to his fashion choices. This bit everyone knows and he has done everything he possibly could, to reiterate this point over and over again. However, his 'Gully Boy' promotions have been on a whole new level altogether, where he has outdone himself. Right from wearing a unicorn jacket to wearing the most bizarrely unusual outfits ever, Baba has been on a roll. © Instagram © Instagram/Ranveersingh However, just when all eyes were on Ranveer, his 'Padmaavat' nemesis Shahid Kapoor just stepped out wearing something that looks like he's finally caught the 'Ranveer Singh Fashion Virus'. In a fashion move that is distinctly unlike his own, Shahid wore a jacket that looks like it legit belongs to Ranveer Singh's wardrobe. Take a look. © Instagram © Instagram/_trill_india Designed by Trill, Shahid's black jacket with red detailing is an exquisite piece that helped him turn heads at the Filmfare Glamour and Style Awards. We can't wait!
  8. The much-awaited, extremely hyped up and super interesting 'Gully Boy' is all set to be our Valentine's Day treat, and since the movie has oversold itself and opened to rave reviews and packed houses at the Berlin Film Festival, it's natural to set our bar higher. Here are 4 things we are looking forward to witnessing in Zoya Akhtar's super ambitious movie: 1. Ranveer & Alia's Power-Packed Performances- This is the most obvious and our first and foremost reason to watch the movie. Ranveer has been very vocal about how he just couldn't resist this role and knowing that he is a closet rapper himself, this will be a good watch. Also, this has already been declared his career's best performance so far, so there's that as well. As for Alia, this actress never fails to surprise us with her powerful performance. 2. Zoya Akhtar's Brilliant Vision- Probably one of the most iconic directors this industry has witnessed. Zoya's storytelling has 'brilliance' written all over it and her personal style of including a 'slice of life' angle to it, is what makes the audience fall for her amazing narrative. 3. Platform For The Growing Rap Scene In India- India, for a while now, has been witnessing the burgeoning growth in the genre of Hip Hop and rap. This movie is a great platform to give centre stage to the wonderful voice of this particular form of music. Also, this will pave way for more similar movies, where our home-grown artists can get their due recognition. 4. The Music Is A Breath Of Fresh Air- Since the movie deals with the rap circle in India, it has also opened our up ears to a newfound sense of sound and music with this movie. It's already a big hit right now. In case you haven't watched the trailer yet, prepare yourself for some major awesomeness. The movie hits theatres on 14th February. If you are someone who is looking for a movie date this Valentine's Day, then this is your pick.
  9. Ranveer Singh just crossed 20M followers on Instagram. Now, this definitely does warrant a celebration, but when you're Ranveer Singh, you're just designed to make the most out of everything. So, he celebrated it in a way that probably got him another 100k followers within a few hours. He wore a pair of shoes that legit has wings. No, we are not kidding. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Not that he's alien to wearing strange shoes, but just look at those sneakers! What is even happening here? Do they fly? Do they help him run faster? Do they make Deepika scream 'Yasss!' or 'Nooooo!' out loud? The possibilities are endless. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Ranveer is wearing the Adidas Originals Indian Wings designed by the iconic Jeremy Scott. Now they might actually not fly, but hey, knowing Ranveer, his spirits must have been on cloud 9 after wearing these babies. What can be a more fitting pair of shoes (no pun intended) for the king of maximalism? © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno The shoes are so extra, you almost don't even pay attention to the traffic-stopping kaleidoscope he is wearing otherwise. The colours are popping in all the right kind of ways, and they the ensemble matches the shoes to a T. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Sometimes we wonder, how drab would our lives have been, if not for Ranveer? We at least can vicariously live on the rainbow of fashion with fluffy clouds and unicorns, thanks to this man right here. You do you, Ranveer!
  10. Ranveer Singh is known to be one of India's most candid and outspoken actors, who wears his heart on his sleeve and has a mouth to show for it too. Trust Ranveer to turn the most mundane activity into a fun-tastic one and spoil your senses with audio and visual proof of the same. So, recently, Ranveer proved this point once again when he caught up with trade analyst Komal Nahta on Zee Cafe's 'Starry Nights 2.Oh' where he made a revelation about his days as a struggling artist. He said that back in the day when he was a struggling actor, he dressed up as Arun from 'Mr. India' and showed up at casting director Shaano Sharma's house because he had heard the rumour that Shekhar Kapoor was all set to direct 'Mr. India 2'. View this post on Instagram Keep it ð¯ A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 8, 2019 at 9:45am PST “During my struggling days, it was rumoured that Shekhar Kapur was making Mr India 2 and I landed up at Shanoo Sharma's house dressed up as Anil Kapoor's character Arun,” Ranveer told Komal on the show. If it wasn't evident enough for his fans and followers, Ranveer just made it crystal clear that he can go to any lengths to get into the skin of the character and give his very best to every role that presents itself (or not). View this post on Instagram Uth jaa apni Raakh se, tu Udd jaa ab Talaash mein ð¦#mondaymotivation #gullyboy A post shared by Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) on Feb 10, 2019 at 9:57pm PST Be it is isolating himself from the world for 21 days to play Alauddin Khilji in 'Padmaavat' or doing his own groundwork and training with underground rappers for his upcoming release 'Gully Boy', Ranveer has always gone out of his way to make sure he gives 200 per cent to all his assignments. Talking about the kind of films he loves, where the hero is the master of the show and the film is larger than life, Ranveer said, “big muscles, big guns. Matlab mujhe bas yahi karna hai.” Ranveer couldn't have given a more earnest and honest reply than this.
  11. Ranveer Singh has never held back till date when it comes to quirky outfits. Every time we think the man is going to 'calm down a little', sartorially, he goes ahead and wears something crazier than before, that everyone has a hard time processing. Even last week, he wore some crazy outfits for the promotion of his latest movie 'Gully Boy'. Of late, he has been obsessed with Tiger-themed outfits, that no one else can carry off as nonchalantly as he can. We clearly couldn't get enough of it and thought of digging a little deeper. The aftermath? Here's a list of the craziest and weirdest animal print outfits Ranveer Singh has worn. 1. The Tiger-Printed Overalls From Malai Clothing © Instagram/Ranveersingh When it comes to crazy co-ords, does it get any wackier? We don't think so. 12. The buzz around Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's upcoming film 'Gully Boy' only seems to be growing bigger and bigger as the film's release day draws closer. While Ranveer and Alia are leaving no stones unturned when it comes to the film's promotions, the film has nonetheless managed to win over fans' hearts through every other move as well. Be it the peppy rap songs, a gripping story-line or Ranveer and Alia's dialogue, 'Gully Boy' has everything going for it. It appears that Ranveer has managed to make a fan out of Grammy winning DJ Diplo as well. 13. A cricket fan or not, almost every Indian knows the significance of the year 1983 when it comes to the world of cricket. With Ranveer set to star in his first ever biopic, which will release in 2020, the 'Gully Boy' actor recently shared his excitement about playing Kapil Dev on-screen. 15. After a stellar year in the industry in 2018, along with critical successes of his films such as 'Stree' and 'Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain', along with the soaring popularity of Kaleen Bhaiya from 'Mirzapur', Pankaj Tripathi has no time to look back. Instead, it seems he can only look forward to bigger and better things, given his stupendous skills in front of the camera and the following he draws with every move he makes. © BCCL We recently told you that Pankaj Tripathi has been roped in by Kabir Khan for his upcoming project '83' which is based on the life of India's legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. 16. Arguably one of most impressive off-spinners of his generation, Harbhajan Singh ruled the bowling charts during his stint with Team India in international cricket. Making full use of his whiplash action, Bhajji managed to alter the length and pace of his deliveries with relative ease, which, in turn, spelled doom for opposition batsmen. But, a lack of form and rise of young spinners has pretty much restricted him to domestic cricket now. While he might not have featured for Team India in almost three years, Bhajji continues to be a vital cog in Chennai Super Kings' bowling unit in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While cricket remains his first love, the 38-year-old is a self-proclaimed fan of wrestling. He was earlier seen arm-wrestling prominent WWE superstar Dalip Singh aka the Great Khali. And, now the 'Turbanator' has backed it up by stepping in the ring himself. View this post on Instagram Panja with great khali @dalipsinghcwe #bigfella #Awesomeguy #bigman A post shared by Harbhajan Turbanator Singh (@harbhajan3) on Jun 8, 2018 at 8:51am PDT Invited to Khali's wrestling academy - Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) - in Jalandhar, Harbhajan stepped in the ring and gave a motivational speech to the youngsters. The Indian spinner was urging them to work on the area of their interest irrespective of the sport they chose to pursue. But, before he could finish, Harbhajan's motivational speech was cut short by a local wrestler. The wrestler, whose ring name is 'Dubey-ji', entered the ring to interrupt the Indian cricketer's speech. Confronting Bhajji, the local wrestler introduced himself as the Singham of CWE wrestling. To which, Harbhajan broke down laughing before mocking him by saying: "What kind of a Singham are you because the Singham's that I've heard of, have strong personality, unlike you". The confrontation went on before 'Dubey-ji' challenged Bhajji to a fight. But, he soon regretted his decision as Harbhajan landed a tight slap on his cheek that saw the local wrestler running out of the ring. To make a point, Bhajji, then, also dropped the mic in the middle of the ring. While it pretty much looked like a publicity stunt, Bhajji's latest antics surely reminded us of the infamous slap he landed on the cheek of S Sreesanth following an encounter between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab in the IPL in 2008.
  17. One of the most astonishing moments in Indian cricket history was its larger-than-life win at the 1983 World Cup. The newly appointed cricket captain then, Kapil Dev, took India towards victory against West Indies, at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London. Now, Kabir Khan is re-creating India's greatest cricket impact into a movie and we just can't wait for its release in April 2020. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up to play Indian skipper Kapil Dev along with Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, who'll play Ghavri. South Indian actor Jiiva will play Srikkanth and Ammy Virk will play Balwinder Singh Sandhu. Along with the chosen actors who'll play the then team members, we have a new casting and we're super excited about it. Sandeep Patil's son, Chirag Patil has joined the cast and crew and he'll be playing Sandeep Patil's role, as a middle-order batsman. © Twitter Chirag has acted in about 11 Marathi and Hindi films and he definitely can't wait to recreate history, under the captaincy of Ranveer Singh! After all, it's the first time a son is ever playing his father, in a Bollywood movie! “I'm really excited, the '83 World Cup win is considered a milestone in Indian history and to be a part of that team is a dream come true and playing my father who's my hero is just awesome. I don't think any actor has ever played his father on screen, I'm a first, luckily I landed the part" Chirag told a popular publication. The reel-team has been under training since August and Chirag admitted to the fact that he has also been training under Chandrakant Pandit's Cricket Academy (CPCC), whenever he gets the free time. The boy is trying his best to play exactly like his dad, while following Tendulkar's philosophy of giving it your best shot and leaving the rest to God. © Twitter Both father and son share a great camaraderie and Sandeep is thrilled with the idea of his son recreating the World Cup win. "Every time we would talk about the World Cup victory, Chirag's eyes would light up. From the first match to the finals and the after-party, I've shared so many memories with him,” Sandeep Patil told a popular publication in an interview. In the World Cup in '83, Sandeep hit one of the final sixes for India to win the match against West Indies, and he dared to play the match with broken ribs! He scored 27 from 29 balls, in India's score of 183, and West Indies were bowled out for 140. What a time to be alive, TBH! © Twitter Although Chirag's never seen his dad play, as he retired before Chirag was born, we're sure Sandeep has given him enough life lessons in cricket and otherwise, for him to do a great job in the movie. Here's wishing Chirag all the luck for one of the best roles he'll ever play in life.

  19. While you may have seen Ranveer Singh and Anil Kapoor as the father-son duo in Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do', you probably don't know they share a great camaraderie off-screen too. And why shouldn't they? They both love being in hyper-energetic states, love entertaining people and they're like a house on fire, when they get together and do spectacular things. (c)Twitter For instance, at the Lakme Fashion Week 2019, both of them came on stage together and danced their heart out, without any inhibitions. Incidentally, both were chosen to be show stoppers for Raghavendra Rathore's collection at the Fashion Week and they nailed their act perfectly. We also have videos from celebrity photographer-Viral Bhayani, where their mesmerising stage presence and energy is so enigmatic, the audience just couldn't stop cheering the two on. (c)Twitter Ranveer was dressed in a printed red sherwani with sneakers while Anil looked quite classy in a black sherwani. While the two were having fun on stage we can also see Janhvi Kapoor sporting a gorgeous black ethnic wear and making sure she doesn't disturb the onscreen father-son duo! We also had other celebrities gracing the stage, dressed in their finest, to absolutely take the audience by surprise by showing off their ramp movies. But by the end of it all, Anil and Ranveer were the real show stoppers so far and we really wish and hope we see them pair up again in another fun movie, sometime soon.
  20. It wouldn't be saying much if we tell you that Ranveer Singh has had one of the best years of his career so far in 2018. Actually, you know what, we just did. But anyhow, while last year was good, and we have a feeling that this year might just turn out to be better, but it is actually the next year which is screaming 'best' because Ranveer is set to star in his first ever biopic '83', which will release in 2020. Based on the life of India's legendary cricketer Kapil Dev, '83' has been garnering a lot of momentum lately ever since it finally received its date of release. From a stellar supporting cast to finally zeroing in on who would play coach to Ranveer Singh's Kapil Dev in the film, it seems like Kabir Khan directorial project is finally set to hit the floors after much delay. © BCCL So if the latest reports are to be believed, Pankaj Tripathi shall be seen training Ranveer Singh, who will be portraying Kapil Dev in the film. It has also been reported that Nawazuddin was approached for the role initially, but he declined the offer due to prior commitments. However, all we can say is that we are thrilled by this change of events because we feel this pairing is an absolute show stealer and the duo would set the screen on fire with their terrific acting skills and the freshness they bring to each of their characters. © Twitter Even when Ranveer and Pankaj recently met each other during a shoot, the pair couldn't stop praising each other's work. Later, Ranveer also shared his desire to work with Pankaj and suggested that a possibility might be in the works. With the film set to release on 10th April 2020, anticipation around the film is definitely running high amongst movie-goers and cricket fans alike.
  21. The leopard print has an undeniably important niche in world fashion, and some would argue, that it's been overdone. In fact, memes like 'Guess who's the only one who can carry off the leopard print without looking stupid? A leopard' has been doing the rounds for the longest time. Some love it, some loathe its existence. Of late, designers all over have been trying to go a little easy on the print, unless they are into hardcore maximalism. No wonder we haven't had a lot of it in men's fashion for the longest time. However, who's the one person you'd trust to bring back a dead aesthetic, other than the quirky tiger of fashion himself? Ranveer Singh did not cut corners while reviving it, and went for it full on, just like one would expect him to. He wore a head-to-toe leopard print outfit at Umang 2019. 22. While everyone is sharing their #10YearChallenge pictures, Ranveer Singh posted a video that marks the first anniversary of 'Padmaavat'. While it was already established that despite his raw savagery, Allauddin Khilji is the most fashionable and charming anti-hero ever, this throwback just put the cherry on the cake. (c) YouTube When Allauddin danced to 'Khalibali', we already were shook, but when he did an epic lip-sync to the super-famous party track 'Makeba' in full make-up, accessories, and outfit, it showed that a true-blue fashionable rockstar resides inside the actor, who'll perhaps will take over in the super anticipated 'Gully Boy'. (c) Instagram/Ranveersingh We were blown over by the huge rings and the necklace, along with the kohl-laden eyes doing this sick AF rendition of Makeba, but the reckless abandonment with which he did it just nails it. 23. When the sun rose on 17th November 1962, it was a new day full of opportunities and newer possibilities for every person. The early winter morning didn't betray the hidden chain of events that were to unravel as the day progressed. 21-year-old Jaswant Singh Rawat, of the famed Garhwal Rifles Regiment, was deployed in the NEFA region on this fateful day along with his unit - 4 Garhwal Rifles. The Indo-China war in the northeastern region of Nuranang (present-day Arunachal Pradesh) was soon to face the fourth assault from the Chinese Army, the final one after its two previous attacks were neutralised by his battalion. An attack that would turn this young braveheart into a legend. © YouTube Born on 19th August 1941 to Guman Singh Rawat in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, Jaswant joined the Indian Army on 19th August 1960, aged 19 years, as a Rifleman. On 17th November 1962, when the troops of Garhwal Rifles were ordered to retreat from the Battle of Nuranang, Jaswant refused to budge and desert his post. It was the last phase of the war, which had otherwise fared poorly for the Indian Army, as the Indian troops began to fray from a shortage of manpower and ammunition. So when the Chinese attacked that morning from the Sela top, they did not expect to encounter the daredevilry and rare courage of a young Indian soldier to come in their way and destroy their bigger plans. © YouTube The attack, which started on the morning on 17th November, went on for the next seventy-two hours. At one point, when the Chinese came to close to his company with an MMG, Jaswant decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and went ahead to neutralise it with Lance Naik Trilok Singh Negi and Rifleman Gopal Singh Gusain. In the events that followed, Jaswant held on to his post alone, fired continuously from different bunkers, and ended up killing almost 300 Chinese soldiers single-handedly, before he was fatally injured by the Chinese. This one selfless act turned the course of the entire battle and helped the Indian troops get an edge. The Indian Army was able to stop the Chinese progress into Arunachal Pradesh. It turned Jaswant into a legend and the locals have event erected a Buddhist temple at the spot. © Wikipedia Not just the locals, but even the Indian Army has kept Jaswant alive amongst them. According to an India Times report, a hut has been constructed on the spot where he was Martyred. The bed placed inside the hut is kept neat and tidy by the Army jawans posted there, while his shoes are regularly polished and letters sent to Jaswant are kept in the hut for Jaswant to read, and taken away the following day. It is also believed that this fourth assault gave rise to the legend of Baba Jaswant Singh who guards the Indian borders in the East. The locals also give a different account of the of the events that unravelled that day. They believe that when Jaswant's company fell back, he remained at his post. Then along with the help of two Monpa porter-girls, he set up weapons at different spots and kept firing at the Chinese troops in rotation, which created an illusion that the Chinese were facing the entire battalion instead of just one soldier. © Rediff/Rajesh Karkera It was only when the Chinese captured the man who supplied Jaswant with ration that they realised the actual situation. Following this revelation, one of the Monpa girls was killed in a grenade attack and the other was captured, while Jaswant killed himself by shooting a bullet to his head to prevent his own capture. No matter which version of the story we wish to believe, there is no denying the show of ultimate courage and sacrifice by him when was faced with a possibility that could cost his country a part of it's being and identity. Jaswant Singh Rawat, who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra (posthumously), deserves to be remembered as the hero that he is, by one and all.
  24. On days when Ranveer Singh is not taking the nation by storm with his sick rapping skills and 'Apna Time Aayega', he is busy preparing for another major blockbuster in the pipeline, '83'. 25. Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer 'Simmba' turned out to be a bigger hit than anyone could have anticipated. The typical Rohit Shetty drama-action movie had a good storyline, a stellar star cast and of course, great music with 'Aankh Maarey' being a chartbuster now. Now, of course, the two actors are great performers and dancers but if Sunny Leone chooses to dance on your number then well, there is no competition at all. Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber did their own rendition of 'Aankh Maarey' and well, let's just say, they killed any competition they could have had from Ranveer's dance moves.
