  6. Time really flies really fast at times, right? I mean, one day you're studying in school, cycling with friends, and watching WWE on TV, and the next, you're literally working those extra hours at the office, and trying to pay rent. Yeah! That's exactly how hard and fast, life hits you! But it's not always all so bad. There are good things too, for everyone. You needn't look elsewhere for it, either. Just take a look at the example of Bollywood star Aditya Roy Kapur, a person who through his hard work and talent, really worked up his way in Bollywood. © Instagram/Aditya Roy Kapur Known for his charming personality in movies, Aditya has worked in some really good films including Aashiqui 2, Malang, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and others. However, there was a time when he was 20 and worked as a video jockey at Channel V. Now, for many of us, that may still be a very good opportunity, especially with the kind of exposure you get on TV. However, it is still levels different from working and earning big sums in Bollywood movies. Well, as things happened, a young Aditya, who sported a ponytail and a French beard back then, interviewed Katrina Kaif almost 16 years ago. © Channel V Wow! It really has been a while. A lot of things have changed since then, but apparently, Aditya still was pretty confident even back then, and during the course of the interview actually ended up asking about Katrina's 'pretty young sisters'. View this post on Instagram Ah! We know what you did there, Aditya! Well, this is what he asked. “You have a big family, seven sisters?” And as Katrina tries counting on her fingers, he casually asks, “Any pretty young ones my age?” Now, we're sure Katrina comes from a family of pretty good looking people, alright, but Aditya sure was not subtle about his genuine interest. It was hilarious as things took a completely different turn, as Katrina actually replied with, “Are you insinuating that I am old?" To this, Aditya jokingly says no, and brings the interview back to some other questions. Well, that was sure fun, and there are many more important parts of the interview. Little did little Aditya know that a decade on, he'd be the actual person romancing Katrina on the big screen, as it played out in Fitoor. © Netflix Well done, Aditya! View the full article
  7. Anyone who is big on social media and likes to spend their day as I do - simply and mindlessly scrolling through my Instagram feed, watching one reel after another - would know that every week a new trend, a new song, a new hook step starts to make rounds on the internet until the point it goes viral. And one such current millennial obsession on Instagram is, in fact, a Tamil song named 'Manika Mage Hithe', which is being used left, right and centre to be made reels on. Been sung in a melodious and calming voice by Sri Lankan singer Yohani Diloka De Silva, the track has since then been picked up by several artists across the world who have released their own renditions of the song. But one that truly stuck in our minds and also struck a chord with us was the mashup that two young singers have sung. Antara and Ankita Nandy, the two sisters that have now gone viral, recently shared a video of them singing to the tunes of 'Manike Mage Hithe' while mashing it up with the song 'Rowdy Baby' in a way that the transition felt as seamless as their voices. The already popular and trending song was paired so beautifully with the other that people on the internet weren’t just left impressed, they instantly started lauding the talented sisters for giving them a mash-up that felt even better than the original. Both Antara and Ankita are playing the ukulele to a fault as they sing their way into people's hearts. The second song in their mash-up was originally from the movie Maari 2 and was sung by Dhanush and Dhee. © Facebook Shared on the internet on 23rd September, the video has racked up over 1.2 million views and several thousands of comments and likes from people in just a span of mere 24 hours. People have generously left comments like, “So so melodious” on the video, a few of them even requesting them for a full cover instead of a teaser that left them wanting for more. One user wrote, “Would love to hear a full cover of 'Manike Mage Hithe' with full rap and everything,” and we would be lying if we didn’t agree with his request. View the full article
