  1. We are always so eager to jump the âtrendingâ bandwagon, arenât we? Right from fashion trends to 'Dalgona' coffee and silly TikTok challenges, we end up giving in to most hashtags that rule our highly âPublicâ social (media) life. © Pexels So, let me introduce you to yet another âtrendâ which has been trending for a few years now. #Sustainability. #SustainableLiving. #SustainableLifestyle. No matter what you wish to call it, itâs all the same and equally promising! Itâs hip and much more worthy of your time. Not only will it make you seem âwokeâ and responsible, it comes with the added benefits of improving the quality of your life as well as that of the Earth, all at once. So, here are 10 small but effective lifestyle changes that you can make to help the environment and the Earth live better, plus also become very âtrendyâ: 1. Say No To Single-Use Plastic © Pexels I know youâve heard enough of this, but trust me when I say it, every time you say no to that plastic straw, plastic cutlery, plastic food packaging, carry bags and a host of other things made out of/covered in single-use plastic, you are not only helping the environment but also saving lives which end up as collateral damage because we love plastic so much in our life. 2. Carry Reusable Water-Bottles © Pexels The idea is to have a bottle of water handy while on the go, and avoid the need to buy plastic cups and water bottles when you are struck by intense thirst while on the road. Use and throw cups and bottles not only impact the environment negatively, but also send your health for a toss by injecting toxins into your body. Opt for glass or metal-based (ideally steel or copper) water bottles to carry with you at all times. 3. Practise Basic Recycling © Pexels I do not need to tell you why recycling is supremely crucial for Earthâs future, now more than ever. Junior school taught us enough about it, but growing up we forgot the basics. So, here goes. Recycling reduces the generation of avoidable waste, helps conserve Earthâs resources, reduces pollution and saves a ton of energy! By simply recycling this around us, we can heal the Earth! 4. Bring A Personal Carry Bag © Pexels Letâs bring the âjholaâ back in fashion, shall we? Be it a cotton or khadi-based cloth bag, or a jute bag, just ensure you take your own carry bag with you when you go shopping. Be it for veggies, groceries or even clothes. Itâll also save you a lot of money! 5. Shop Locally © Pexels What this means is, instead of heading to the supermarket, buy stuff from the local sabziwala, doodhwala, or head to the nearest farmerâs market or mandi where you can get fresh, quality produce and pay much less than how much you would at a shopping mart. Itâs good for the environment, your health and also for some hard-working people trying to earn an honest living. 6. Opt For Preloved Things © Pexels Many of you may not agree with this, but so much goodness often lies hidden in preloved items. This is true especially if youâre looking at decorating items, antiques, furniture, books and even electronics! Second-hand items are not only less expensive, but also conserve resources, energy and prevent pollution too! 7. Travel Responsibly © Pexels Again, something we are all aware of, but not actively participating in. Donât wait for Kejriwal to come back with his Odd-Even Rule to get back to carpooling and taking the public transport. Do it otherwise and regularly too. Walk where you can, cycle where you canât and try to reduce the number of times you take out your car and fly someplace as much as you can. Fuel has a significant carbon footprint, which in turn hurts the environment. 8. Avoid Fast Fashion, Go Indigenous © Pexels Changing clothes like changing trends is no longer a healthy practice. From chemical waste production to wastage of water and energy, fast fashion is one of the biggest polluters after the oil industry. Instead, choose indigenous brands and craftsmanship. Wear natural fabrics like cotton, silk, khadi and donate unwanted clothes instead of just throwing them away. 9. Save & Harvest Water © Pexels This is pivotal to any sort of future that we are trying to build on Earth. Water is a basic necessity of life but also one of the most important factors that make life sustainable on this planet. So, save water, avoid thoughtless wastage of this life-giving liquid and harvest water if you can. 10. Use Energy Responsibly © Pexels Wastage of energy is another factor that handicaps measures for sustainable living. Avoid unnecessary use of electricity. Make use of natural light, opt for LED bulbs instead of CFL. Switch off that light before you leave a room. There is so much you can do really. View the full article

  3. The small and the Silver Screen are worlds apart but interestingly, a lot of Bollywood stars began their careers on a humble note through daily soaps, while some also took baby steps to success and started from commercials. There is no doubt that people connect to TV more than Bollywood as TV actors, in comparison, are more accessible and relatable for the audience and we watch them almost on a daily basis via serials. However, stardom associated with films is far more than that of the television industry, which is why a lot of TV stars aim to finally make it to Bollywood. Here are six Bollywood actors who started their careers from TV- 1. Shah Rukh Khan View this post on InstagramâYour feelings are your Super powersâ...just wanted to sound âdeepâ...the real reason for the post is to try out this new filter on the pic!A post shared by (@iamsrk) The Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan began his career from the small screen and struggled a lot to reach where he is today. He started his acting career in the year 1989 with TV shows such as Fauji and Circus which were aired on Doordarshan back then. Now, he is one of the most loved and revered actors in the industry with a slew of films under his name that were blockbuster hits at the box office. 2. 4. Kangana Ranaut is unabashed, unapologetic and braver than most people in the country and in Bollywood as well. The Queen bee of B-town always finds herself swimming in a controversy which is brewed either by her sister in tow or sometimes due to her inability to mince her own words. However, that has never stopped her from doing what she likes or speak what she thinks. The woman is an example of dreams working out if you don't give up and has carved her name in the industry without any daddies or friends in B-town to back her. While many mocked her and brushed it off, her true words found support in a lot of people who were working hard in the industry and yet found no work. Continuing her aim to do good work and do what she feels is right, Kangana is now turning proudcer to back small budget movies and also ensure that new talent gets a well deserved break. In a recent interview, she explained her plans and motive. “If JudgeMentall Hai Kya was made without me on a budget of Rs 10 crore, it would have been a blockbuster at Rs 40 crore. However, because it was made at nearly Rs 30 crore, it just about broke even. I want to [back] a few small films and see how that goes. Eventually, I may do something on a bigger level. We will also venture into digital entertainment. My office will be ready by January. Simultaneously, we are readying our projects. There are so many good scripts that come my way and the [makers] want me to feature in them. But there is so much new talent that needs to be given a platform. It's important that these powerful scripts don't get lost and make it to the big screen,” she said. View this post on Instagram A lighter-than-air malmal sari with minimal gold boders is a perfect base for a neo-Indian look. Paired flawlessly with a Lady dior bag and statement sunnies. One needs to note here that #Kangana is truly the pioneer of the sari-can-be-worn-anywhere movement, and this look is yet another example of that. ð . . . *Courtesy* Photo: @_sanu313_ . . *Wardrobe* Sari - @suta_bombay Jewelery: Antique Gold Earrings Shoes - @fizzygoblet Bag - @dior A post shared by Kangana Ranaut (@team_kangana_ranaut) on Oct 9, 2019 at 5:27am PDT Her conscious decision of not acting in movies she was producing might be a risk but if there's anyone who can take it, it is this girl. With her maiden venture, she will join the likes of Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma who are already running successful production houses. Let's hope Kangana is able to fulfill what she aspires to do and can be a role model for people who don't belong to filmy families in Bollywood.
  5. The 2019 season of the Indian Premier League has to be special and unforgettable for both, the former West Indies ODI hero, Kieron Pollard and the young and eccentric, Hardik Pandya, both of whom found themselves hitting long shots on a regular basis in the ongoing month and a half long tournament. While playing for the same franchise, Pollard and Pandya, and Mumbai Indians, have been loyal to each other through the thick and thins of the team's 12-year-long journey and have reaped the benefits of being a part of the most successful IPL team with three championships (tied with MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings). © Twitter/IPL And while this season has not been MI's best, they are still on their way to qualifying for the top four spot of the IPL playoffs by winning 7 of their 12 matches and a total of 14 points in their hands and it is safe to say that on a lot of occasions, the MIPaltan needed some superhuman performances to get out of trouble and the duo of Pandya and Pollard got to work, especially in the death overs. “Even when he came onto the scene, if you remember, in a couple of games for Mumbai (Indians), he finished off with his big hits. He is a small guy but hits the ball a long way. And once he continues to practice well and continues to evolve as a cricketer, you can see him doing great things not only for Mumbai Indians but (also for) Indian cricket,” the Windies legend praised a 25-year-old Hardik Pandya. © Twitter/IPL Pandya, who was in a bit of a fix ahead of the league began as he suffered from a stiff lower back and a life-time of humiliation for his comments at a popular talk-show, has finally collated enough courage to go out there and let his bat do the talking. “It is matter (sic) of him having the confidence and you giving him the confidence for him to believe in himself, because he is one of those guys who is free-spirited and just goes out and tries to use his youthful exuberance to have an impact on the game,” said Pollard, who has been by Pandya's side for ages now.
  6. It has been a couple of years since Apple has launched a 'small' iPhone. The last small and compact phone from the company was the iPhone SE that came out all the way back in 2016. Well, if the new report is something to go by, then it looks like Apple might finally launch a compact iPhone next year. According to DigiTimes, Apple is readying new iPhones for 2020 with display sizes - 5.43-inch, 6.06-inch, and 6.67-inch. Looks like the company will be sourcing the displays from Samsung or LG. The current lineup, in case you're wondering, has display sizes of 5.8-inch (iPhone XS), 6.1-inch (iPhone XR), and 6.5-inch (iPhone XS Max). So, if it turns out to be true, Apple will reduce the size of the smallest model while increasing the size of the biggest model. © Unsplash We're not entirely sure as to what Apple is planning to call these new iPhones, though. But if we were to guess, then the smallest iPhone would be called iPhone SE2, which has been passing the rumour mill for quite some time now. But again, that raises questions about the names of other iPhones, so your guess is as good as ours, really.

  8. Samsung has finally offered new details about its upcoming smartphone, that has been rumoured for a while to launch soon. In an interview with CNET, Samsung's DJ Koh revealed that the foldable smartphone will basically be a tablet that can turn into a pocket-sized smartphone. © Samsung It has been rumoured to be called the 'Galaxy F' and Koh claims, that the device will probably be one of the more practical devices in the market when it launches. Koh did not reveal any details about the foldable smartphone and neither did he mention any launch date. “When we deliver a foldable phone, it has to be really meaningful to our customer,” Koh said in an interview. “If the user experience is not up to my standard, I don't want to deliver those kinds of products.” Koh stressed that the device will not a gimmick and will probably be a nice product when it launches. “It may be a niche market, but definitely, it will expand,” Koh told CNET. “I'm positive that we do need a foldable phone.” © Twitter The South Korean company has been trying to develop a foldable smartphone since 2013, when the company teased a bendable OLED display at CES 2013. Koh, however, did confirm that the smartphone will launch sometime this year and could even make an appearance at Samsung's Developer Conference next month. Huawei is also looking to launch a similar smartphone as early as next month and it seems like the competition in this space is getting heated already. Huawei is currently the world's second largest smartphone maker and is now creeping up Samsung's territory to dethrone the South Korean giant. Source: Cnet

  11. The television scene is rapidly changing; people no longer have the patience for the camera to pan on each angle of the protagonist's face, their family's faces and the whole fricking clan's expressions, and with good measure. With the increased time constraints in our lives, we hardly have time to relax, no one has time for anything. Add to it a long show and you wouldn't have time to breathe. Limited series have come as a beacon of hope; a revolution to do away with all the lengthy tirades of the losses and tribulations of the lead in the unending serials. These series work because the generation has seen a shift in the TV-viewing preferences of the younger generation. The basic mastermind behind these series is that they contain a factor of suspense which intrigues a person, while most of the series consider small, known stories with a fresher perspective which works better. Also, the fact that the number of episodes is limited, and you have a finite number of seasons or time frame puts the viewer at ease, knowing it will end soon. Why do these series work? The impatience we have today is also a driving force for these series to be popular, we want things to move quickly and no one has time to wait. Also, already knowing what is going to happen (for series based on known facts) makes you want to relax and enjoy it, wherein lies the magic; the series make a compelling case of the journey which led to the events you know of, demanding your attention and leaving you hooked. Watching the story pan out is what makes it more appealing. Humans have always tried to know the future; the human brain is curious by nature. So, knowing that something will end in a short period of time makes you want to watch it more, seeing that you don't have to worry about the end and wait around for it. Eagerness also plays a major factor in the success of limited series because you want to know what happens next and if the final episode ends with a cliffhanger, you are left wanting for more. Another important factor is that these series always have a better cast than what you are used to, most prolific actors are seen in these series as they don't have to give much time to it unlike an extended commitment to a long series, which increases the likability of the series. Also, the lesser the number of episodes, the more visually appealing the episodes can be, courtesy of a better production cost. The quality of a short series is way more spectacular than of daytime shows. In any case, quality over quantity is a formula for success, which these series have mastered. Having a certain expiration date propels the creators to be more creative and unlike other shows they cannot depend on a repetitive, redundant story which might work for long shows. Though Indian series have miles to go before the audience can readily accept limited number of episodes for serials; the fact that series like “Paanch” from Channel V; “24” starring Anil Kapoor weren't as successful as hoped is a testimony to that, here are some limited series which you can watch and will leave you intrigued: 1. Alias Grace (2017) Based on Margaret Atwood's bestselling eponymous novel, the historical fiction series is a six-episode long thrilling tale of Grace Marks who is accused of murdering her employer, Mr. Thomas Kinnear and the housekeeper Nancy Montgomery, along with her fellow help, James McDermott. The narrator of the story is Grace, who refers to herself as a “celebrated murderess”, serving time in a penitentiary for 15 years. The series focuses on Dr. Simon Jordan, a young and handsome psychiatrist, who has been called to record Grace's statement and evaluate her in order to grant her a pardon. Though Grace doesn't seem to remember much about her life, it being a long time ago, she recounts her story to Dr. Jordan who starts making notes and ends up falling for her. We see flashbacks of Grace as she tells the story: moving from Ireland to Canada with her large family, her employment at the rich household of the Parkinsons, her friendship with Mary Whitney and her ultimate employment at the Kinnear farm in Ontario. © Netflix The series shows the downside of class politics; the prejudices of her employers, the relationship she shares with her fellow help, the liberty the rich take and later the treatment of the prisoners in the penitentiaries. The most interesting thing about the series is that you will be unable to gauge what the truth is and whether Grace could be a trustworthy narrator. The series also shows the downside of class politics and the treatment of the prisoners in their penitentiaries. No. of episodes: 6 USP: Sarah Gadon plays Grace with utmost perfection and leaves you wondering: what exactly happened to Grace Marks? Was she innocent or was it something more sinister? Look out for Anna Paquin as the riveting Nancy Montgomery. The whole vibe of the show is thrilling; you will have goosebumps all the way. The dreamy and self-effacing prose narrated by Grace is spookily bone-chilling. 2. Feud: Bette and Joan (2017) What happens when two of the most celebrated actresses of Hollywood star in the same movie: an all-out catfight or something sadder? Another gem by Ryan Murphy (of “American Horror Story” fame), the anthology series elaborates on the long-standing feud between two of Hollywood's best leading ladies: Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, played by Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange, respectively. With them having committed the worst sin in Hollywood: growing old, Bette and Joan, with no projects being offered to them have reached their wits end. In an attempt by Joan to reignite her diminishing popularity, she plans to adapt a novel “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” into a movie and reaches out to Bette, whom she has never gotten along with, who is undergoing the same predicament. © Fox 21Television Studios Having no other choice left, both star in the movie, but their egos and emotions get the better of them resulting in a phenomenal drama to unfold which is further used as a publicity gimmick for the movie by the studios. Unaware of the use of their rivalry used for cashing in on the movie, these two women, pitted across each other by others using deceit and lies, start a battle from which both come out losers. The series follows what happened during and after production of the 1962 hit movie. No. of episodes: 8 USP: The show reiterates the fact of how far one can go to satisfy one's ego and others will always try and utilize your fights for their advantage. Susan Sarandon has an uncanny resemblance to Bette Davis, and makes you feel like Bette Davis has returned to screen, complete with her deep voice and cigarette. Jessica Lange will remind you of the vivacious Joan Crawford and does a great job in bringing her charm to the screen. Unlike the characters they are portraying, Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange can still have meaty roles, proving again that age is just a number and one shouldn't be discriminated because of that. It lies bare the sexism still prevalent in the film industry. It will make you question whether the end could have been something different, if only they had stopped trying to upstage each other and tried focusing on their vested interests. It will make you think about how low people can fall in order to retain fame and demean a person of whom they are jealous. (Season 2 centering on the relationship between Prince Charles and Princess Diana, titled “Buckingham Palace” is set to release in late 2018 or early 2019) 3. The End of the F***ing World (2018) A teenager with a troubled childhood, James, thinks himself to be a sociopath and is planning on finding his first victim to murder. His plans go horribly awry when the bratty new girl at school, Alyssa wants to have a relationship with him. What follows is a roller coaster of madness and unconventional humor with shocking incidents, in a journey both hadn't anticipated. Follow Alyssa and James as they try to understand life; after leaving their home and trying to find a bit of peace and quiet from their boring and weird lives. Their personal struggles play a major part in the tone of the series. This British series, based on a comic strip by Charles S. Forsman, is worth watching; with its quirky plot focusing on two young vagabonds who do not have a clue about what they want to do but can't show this to each other while trying to act composed is a dark take on love and life. © Netflix No. of episodes: 8 USP: The dark humor of the show is a knock-out; it leaves you questioning: What did I just laugh at? :P Jessica Barden is flawless as Alyssa; her scenes are pure magic. Alex Lawther does a fabulous job as the wannabe murderer, James. The nihilistic feel of the show is what makes the title seems ominous and real; all the teenage angst and rebellion is what makes the series work. The climax is fantastic; another intriguing part of the show. You need to watch it to understand it. 4. The Night Manager (2016) Starring Tom Hiddleston as a night manager for a luxury hotel in Cairo, this series focuses on a political scandal about to happen, which can have dangerous implications on the U.S.A and United Kingdom. Tom plays ex-army soldier, Jonathan Pine who is recruited by intelligence agent Angela Burr, played by Olivia Colman, to unearth the secret arms trade going on between the Whitehall and Washington D.C. © BBC One His task of infiltrating the inner circle of the arms dealer, who is under the guise of a businessman, Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie) is filled with complications as he tries to navigate between love, secrets, his attraction to Jed (Richard's lady love played by Elizabeth Debicki) and his desire to stay alive. It is a spy drama which keeps you hooked till the end and you will find yourself feeling utterly anxious about Tom in some of the scenes. No. of episodes: 6 USP: Olivia Colman is a powerhouse; she is the life of the show. She plays the badass spy with finesse. No wonder she is all set to portray Queen Elizabeth II in the third season of “The Crown”. Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie complement each other phenomenally. Their scenes together have just the right amount of threatening intensity. (Well, one does wonder how Loki and Dr. House would converse under similar situations.) Tom Hollander as Corkoran, the ousted right hand of Roper is a treat to watch. His disagreements with Jonathan put most of the plot into action. A cinematic, visually appealing, lavish, multiple Emmy winner spy drama which you are bound to enjoy; the direction is flawless, and the cinematography is spectacular. (Season 2 might come in 2019.) 5. The Night Of (2016) This 8-episode thriller is set in Queens, New York and focuses on Naz, a young, Pakistani-American college student whose one night of romance, in wintry October 2014, goes horribly wrong when he wakes up next to the dead body of his object of desire, Andrea With having no memory of what had happened the previous night, thanks to the drugs he had taken along with Andrea, he ends up getting arrested for manslaughter. © HBO What follows is an intelligently written drama which lays bare the hypocrisy of society and how someone has to compromise in order to sustain themselves. No. of episodes: 8 USP: Riz Ahmed strikes a chord with his stellar portrayal of the innocent Naz who ends up where he didn't ever imagine to be, courtesy of unfortunate circumstances. The series has got everything: prison politics, drug wars, courtroom drama, insane plot twists and a story which needs to be told and is extremely relatable at its core. John Turturro plays John S tone, Naz's attorney in the case and is the quintessential lawyer who has given up on the justice system owing to its hypocrisy and he does a stellar job. The best takeaway from the series is the direction; phenomenal and reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock movies, with the eerie score and the dimly-lit background. The dialogues are earthy, and it makes you relate to Naz. The rawness of the character is overwhelming at times; such is the brilliance of Steven Zaillian and James Marsh. Unparalleled writing from Richard Price and Steven makes it worthy of all the critical acclaim it has gotten.

  14. The OnePlus 6 has officially been confirmed by the company on Twitter and rumours suggest that the smartphone will launch by the end of June. Other reports have suggested the phone may launch as early as late April. 6et ready! pic.twitter.com/bmvI75xphm — OnePlus (@oneplus) April 2, 2018 Regardless of the timing, OnePlus is known for delivering great devices at a price that cannot be matched by any other flagship manufacturer. The smartphone is known to have top of the line specs and performance that blows most of its competition out of the water. © Twitter However, there is one bad news in regard to the upcoming OnePlus 6. No, we aren't talking about the notch but something entirely different. The OnePlus 6's price tag is reportedly going to be even higher than its predecessors and that may just piss off some fans. We've seen the gradual price rise with the OnePlus 5 and 5T and we can expect the price to rise even more. A report by GizmoChina notes that a source shared the expected pricing for the OnePlus 6. Apparently, The cheapest OnePlus 6 will supposedly cost 3,299 yuan (INR 34,000) while the 128G B version is rumoured to cost 3,799 yuan (Roughly INR 39,000). A third 256GB version, the most expensive of them all is also rumoured to launch alongside the two phones and will apparently cost 4,399 yuan (INR 45,000). © Weibo OnePlus 6 is also rumoured to sport a dual-camera setup similar to the Galaxy S9. A leaked image (above) on Weibo suggests a vertical dual-camera setup and GizmoChina also attained a picture which supposedly shows a OnePlus 6 case. © GizmoChina OnePlus may be working hard to launch a great successor to the OnePlus 5T, however, we are a bit worried about the pricing of these devices. If this rumour turns out to be true, the price rise may piss off many OnePlus fans as the company's devices are getting expensive by the year. © OnePlus Even Google is apparently working on a mid-range Pixel phone as India is considered a “price-sensitive” market. Of course one should note that it is pure speculation and is based off a leak that is according to a “source”. We can only be sure once OnePlus launches the smartphone officially. Until then, stay tuned to MensXP Technology for more OnePlus 6 news. Source: GizmoChina
  15. Most of us often look for that perfect background to get clicked in front of because of the common misconception that only exotic locations can give you that Instagram-worthy picture. But time and again, photographers across the world have proved that while a good background does make the work a little better, it definitely isn't the secret behind a good picture. And Adam Delane is here to reinstate your faith in the same. You might have heard of the 'Ugly Location Challenge'. If you haven't, it basically means taking pictures in what seems like an 'ugly location' to you and surprising the world with magnificent results that you can get after some careful lighting and editing. Adam, a photographer based in Cincinnati, took up the challenge a little differently and decided to shoot inside a small crafts store in US called 'Hobby Lobby'. Apparently, Hobby Lobby has the best and biggest selection of fake flowers. He posted the results on his Facebook and boy, oh boy! We want to visit him only to get our photographs taken by him in the same store. Have a look: 1. This is the before 2. And THIS is after. He was accompanied by 4 of his female friends and each one of them looked surreal in the after photos. 3. Just casually holding flowers. 4. And BAM! 5. Kinda awkward pose 6. But it led to this 7. Some of the BTS is hilarious 8. WOAH 9. Wait for it 10. The lighting though… Since then, Adam's photos have taken the entire world by storm and have started a new challenge called the 'Hobby Lobby Challenge'. Now that's the kind of online challenge we like! In case you are wondering how he did it, here's a video that he posted to take you behind the scenes: You can see more of his work here: Adam Delane Photography
  16. Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras arrives for a cabinet meeting in Athens, Greece, June 2, 2016. REUTERS ATHENS: Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made limited changes to his cabinet on Wednesday after a minister bowed out in a housing allowance row, keeping his finance minister months before the country emerges from a bailout program in August. Tsipras switched some ministers around in an effort to improve government work and boost his party?s sagging popularity ratings, and also brought in a few new faces. He gave Deputy Prime Minister Yannis Dragassakis the Economy and Development portfolio after Greek American economist Dimitri Papadimitriou quit his post this week in response to public anger over his wife?s use of a housing allowance. Tsipras also replaced Migration Minister Yannis Mouzalas, who handled a massive influx of refugees fleeing Syria and Iraq in late 2015 and early 2016 with Dimitris Vitsas, who was alternate defense minister. Fotis Kouvelis, former leader of the small Democratic Left party, was appointed Alternate Defence Minister. Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos and Alternate Finance Minister George Chouliarakis were left unchanged. Greece is currently being vetted by its foreign creditors on reform compliance. Tsipras also kept Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, engaged in delicate talks with Skopje over a name dispute with its northern neighbor most countries call Macedonia but Greece calls FYROM. Aspiring to make Greece a key player in the wider region, the leftist-led government has started talks with neighboring countries aiming to settle long-standing disputes. Tsipras swept to power in 2015 beating the conservatives, on a promise to end austerity and crack down on corruption. But his agreement to a third international bailout with more austerity measures attached, after years of belt-tightening, have eroded support. Papadimitriou?s wife, Rania Antonopoulou, quit her role as a junior labor minister on Monday after drawing fire for claiming a 1,000 euro a month rent allowance. She was replaced by Athanasios Iliopoulos, who worked in the division of labor inspections.

An artist's impression of Oumuamua, the first interstellar asteroid, which has a coating that might be protecting a water-ice interior-Photo:File MIAMI: An asteroid bigger than a city bus is on track to zoom by Earth Friday at a safe but close distance, less than one-fifth as far away as the Moon, NASA said. "Asteroids of this size do not often approach this close to our planet -- maybe only once or twice a year," said Paul Chodas, manager of the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies at NASA´s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Called asteroid 2018 CB, the space rock will shave by our planet at around 2230 GMT, the US space agency said. It will remain about 39,000 miles (64,000 kilometers) from Earth, which is less than one-fifth the distance to the Moon. The asteroid is estimated to be between 50 and 130 feet (15 and 40 meters) in size. "Although 2018 CB is quite small, it might well be larger than the asteroid that entered the atmosphere over Chelyabinsk, Russia, almost exactly five years ago, in 2013," said Chodas. Another small asteroid, about the same size, also skimmed by Earth this week. Asteroid 2018 CC passed Tuesday at 2010 GMT at a distance of about 114,000 miles (184,000 kilometers). Both were discovered this month by astronomers at the NASA-funded Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) near Tucson, Arizona.

Be it a story about a college dropout who becomes one of the richest men in the world, a Hooters waitress becoming a CEO of a company or a simple television actor becoming a top gun in the world of movies. Did you know your favourite Leonardo Di Caprio has television roots as well? Here is a list of 7 actors you may not know started their career as television stars and then rocked the movie industry with their sheer persona and talent. Brad Pitt (c) Youtube/ Screengrab Way before Brad Pitt became known for his impeccable acting and his good looks in Hollywood, he played Randy in a popular drama series called 'Dallas' (1987-1988), a show about a wealthy Texas family in the oil and cattle-ranching industry. Even back then, Brad Pitt showed us he had what is takes to be a star. Katie Holmes (c) Youtube/ Screengrab Katie Holmes is a well-known name but out of everything, she is probably best known for making Tom Cruise jump on Oprah's sofa. Before making it to the big screen, Katie Holmes made her acting debut in TV series called 'Dawson's Creek' in 1998 after which she was flooded with calls from producers asking her to come to Hollywood. Johnny Depp (c) Youtube/ Screengrab Perhaps one of the most versatile actors in the business, Johnny Depp actually shot to fame first as Tommy Hanson, an undercover cop in '21 Jump Street' in 1987. And, since then, people have just loved him! Check the video out and we bet you will love it too! Kylie Minogue (c) Youtube/ Screengrab The popstar and actress, Kylie Minogue started her career pretty young, appearing in soap operas at the age of 12. She felt that she needed the independence to make it in the entertainment industry. Diego Luna (c) Youtube/ Screengrab One day Diego Luna was a popular telenova star and the next day he was a part of the Star Wars universe. Talk about career goals. Diego Luna went from a television star, movie actor to even directing and producing movies. If you want to know how well the transformation went then you totally have to watch his star making turn in Blood Father, Criminal and Rogue One. George Clooney (c) Youtube/ Screengrab The award-winning, charming and talented George Clooney, who recently received a Lifetime Achievement Award, started his career with a small role in a TV series called 'Riptide' (1984) as Lenny Colwell. His first major breakthrough role was on a sitcom ER as Dr. Doug Ross. With many hit movies to follow, 'Riptide' seems like a century ago. Leonardo DiCaprio (c) Youtube/ Screengrab In 1992, Leonardo DiCaprio made his television debut in a TV sitcom called 'Growing Pains'. The show was about the misadventures of a family with a father who runs a business from home and a journalist mother. Luke Brower (Leonardo DiCaprio), a homeless boy, is taken in by the family at the end of season 7. This super young and adorable version of Leonardo DiCaprio is definitely worth the watch.
  19. Sudanese migrants in Ouistreham, a year after the dismantling of the 'jungle' migrant camp in Calais. Photo: AFP A year after France dismantled the notorious "Jungle" migrant camp at Calais, nearly 100 Africans can be found living out in the cold in the northern port of Ouistreham. They survive thanks to donations from local people and despite the systematic intervention of the authorities to close down any encampment. "It's hell," says a 25-year-old man from Sudan. "Last night we couldn't sleep in the woods, it rained all the time. But each time we tried to sleep somewhere in the city, the police came to tell us to leave," the migrant who gave his name as Badr tells AFP. Behind him, a group of volunteers from this small city of 9,000 people are handing out food. Sudanese migrants in Ouistreham,a year after the dismantling of the 'jungle' migrant camp in Calais. Photo: AFP1 Every day Badr says he tries to slip onboard a ferry crossing the Channel to England. The African migrants, mostly from Sudan, wander the streets of the Ouistreham port amid passengers heading for and coming from the British coast. Three ferries leave daily for Portsmouth. Ouistreham is a far cry from Calais where 40 ferries leave each day for Britain and police say nearly 450 migrants are still holed up despite the French government closing the "jungle" camp and relocating thousands of migrants who had lived in the immense slum there. But after the Calais camp was shut down, migrants began showing up in this small coastal town in Normandy. In the woods The migrants, all young men, seek refuge in the woods around Ouistreham. One afternoon last week four of them were warming themselves around a fire amid intermittent freezing rain. "It's very cold, life is very hard here. The French people are good to us but not the authorities," says one of them named Ahmad. Another man is sleeping nearby covered with a blanket and under a tarpaulin. But when police and city workers arrive, the migrants scatter. A dumpster leaves the woods with a pile of abandoned blankets and duvets -- donations from the Ouistreham group helping migrants (CAMO). Claims of harassment For city's mayor Romain Bail, the migrants "for the most part do not pose any problem, in terms of aggression". But he says he doesn't want his city to become a magnet for migrants. He has taken steps to ensure that camps are not set up and has increased the police numbers. The CAMO group has accused some police of using measures such as tear gas on the migrants -- though the authorities say they intervene only to enforce the law. "They (the police) take their duvet, their phone. It's harassment," says Michel Martinez, one of the founders of CAMO. "These men have known worse. They saw bodies floating in the Mediterranean, but still, there is no reason" for harassing them. "It's the citizens who take steps so the migrants don't freeze to death or die of hunger in the woods." While some city residents are hostile to the migrants, he adds, that nevertheless "every day around 15 to 20 cars come to my home to bring the migrants" food and clothing. Near the port terminal, fish merchant Sandrine Simon says she also manages to give the migrants some help. "They are looking for water to wash themselves, and electricity to charge their cellphone," she explains.

REUTERS/Toby Melville TORONTO: Canadian designer Line the Label shot to prominence on Monday after US actress Meghan Markle wore a coat from the brand in her first public appearance after her engagement to Britain?s Prince Harry. Markle appeared in the sunken garden at Kensington Palace on Monday in the late November chill, donning the C$799 ($627.11) white wrap coat with oversized collars and cinched at the waist with a knotted belt. The surge in interest in the coat caused the style to quickly sell out and crashed the Toronto-based knitwear label?s website in some parts of the world, including in London. The company is taking reorders on the coat, an external spokeswoman said by email. Line has since named the coat ?Meghan,? company President and co-founder John Muscat said in a statement, adding it was one of her favourite pieces from the fashion label. ?We are incredibly honoured that Meghan chose to wear a Line coat to mark this very special occasion,? Muscat said. ?We are elated for Meghan and wish her a lifetime of happiness with Prince Harry.? 22. Education is important but big biceps are way more important- you must have heard this absurd saying but at the gym bro level, it does make sense. Bicep size matters and those you say it doesn't probably have puny arms. There are a lot of guys who have been struggling at the gym just to add a few inches on their arms and have failed. What could be the possible mistakes? In this piece, I'll be breaking down the most common reasons for your stagnant biceps growth. 1) Training Too Often And Too Much I have personally observed guys who directly train their biceps at least thrice or four times a week. Their other two days usually compromises of back and chest workouts. What you need to understand is the fact that your biceps are similar to other muscles, and therefore, they need rest to recover. Though it's a small muscle group that recovers comparatively faster than other muscles, it still needs rest for optimal hypertrophy. Also, your biceps are quite active in your pulling exercises (back workouts), which makes them one of the most active muscle groups. Hence, if you train your biceps at low or moderate intensity, train them maximum twice a week. In case, you train them intensely then keep your bicep day just once a week. 2) Missing The Right Variations And Using Wrong Form This is one of the most ignored factors when it comes to biceps training. Majority of lifters pick up the variations that target the muscle in a similar manner. For example- standing biceps dumbbell curl or seated biceps dumbbell curl. The issue here is that sitting or standing and even switching from barbells to dumbbells does not bring any change in the length of the targeted muscle (Biceps Brachi). Okay, let me simplify it; in order to attain overall muscle growth, it is important to train the muscle at various lengths. Hence, to trigger your muscle growth, you need to get your hands over different variations. Confused? Just check this article out. It will surely help you train your arms better. © YouTube 3) Skipping Compound Movements I am sure that this would be a surprising point to a lot of readers. Compound movements are the holy grail of testosterone production. Well, testosterone is the most anabolic hormone in the male body that determines muscle growth, strength, and other pivotal male characteristics. There are tons of research papers available that shows that performing compound lifts help to boost testosterone production naturally. Hence, higher the testosterone production better will be the muscle development! Also, according to a few researchers, training biceps along with a heavy compound lift; helps a lifter to attain better bicep hypertrophy. © Thinkstock/Getty Images 4) Poor Sleep Quality Poor sleep will hamper your muscle growth significantly. Lack of proper sleep increases the production of cortisol (stress hormone) in the body. Elevated cortisol creates a catabolic environment that puts adverse effects on your testosterone, muscle protein synthesis and the muscle recovery. Therefore, quality sleep of about 7-8 hours at night plays an imperative role in your overall muscle growth. Not to forget, the growth hormone stays at its peak when we are asleep.
  23. A cyber attack Monday hit a Ukrainian international airport and three Russian media outlets just four months after the "NotPetya" malware spread from two countries across the world. Photo: AFP KIEV : A cyber attack Monday hit a Ukrainian international airport and three Russian media outlets just four months after the "NotPetya" malware spread from two countries across the world. Ukraine?s Odessa International Airport said on Facebook that its "information system" stopped functioning in the afternoon. "All airport services are working in a reinforced security regime," the airport said without elaborating. Its website showed air traffic going in and out of the Black Sea resort city according to schedule. Russia?s Interfax news agency -- one of the country?s biggest -- also sent its last dispatch at 2:13 pm (1113 GMT) before falling silent. A cybersecurity expert told AFP that the Fontanka news site in Russia?s second city of Saint Petersburg and a third media outlet "whose name, unfortunately, we cannot reveal at this time" had also gone offline. "We cannot say what it is at the moment," Yevgeny Gukov of the Group-IB IT security firm said in Moscow. Gukov said the malware appeared to be using an encryption scheme that prevented analysts from deciphering the malicious code. A statement later issued by Group-IB said the attack appeared to have its origins in Russia and had also affected some corporate sites in Turkey and Germany. "This ransomware infects devices through a number of hacked Russian media websites," Group-IB said. "Based on our investigation, this has been a targeted attack against corporate networks, using methods similar to those used during the (NotPetya) attack." The July "NotPetya" attack was a modified version of the "Petya" ransomware that hit last year and demanded money from victims in exchange for the return of their computer data.
  24. Seven of US President Donald Trump's eight border wall prototypes are shown near completion along the US-Mexico border near San Diego, California, US, October 23, 2017. REUTERS/Mike Blake SAN DIEGO: Nine months after President Donald Trump to the k office, the first tangible signs of progress on one of the central promises of his campaign have appeared along the US border with Mexico. A couple of miles (km) from the bustling Otay Mesa border crossing in San Diego, eight towering chunks of concrete and steel stand as high as 30 feet (9 meters) tall against the sky, possible models for what Trump has promised will one day be a solid wall extending the full length of the southern border, from California to Texas. Whether any of the eight different prototypes, constructed over the last month, become part of an actual wall remains highly uncertain. The US Congress has so far shown little interest in appropriating the estimated $21.6 billion it would cost to build the wall. Still, border patrol officials on Monday welcomed the momentum on Trump?s pledge, which generated a groundswell of voter support that helped elect him to the office. ?Our current infrastructure is well over two decades old,? Roy Villareal, deputy chief patrol agent of the US Border Patrol?s San Diego sector, said during a tour with media organizations on Monday morning. ?Is there need for improvement? Absolutely.? Currently, 654 miles (1,052 km) of the 1,900-mile (3,058-km)border with Mexico is fenced, with single, double or triple fences. The second line of fencing in San Diego, about 18 feet (5.50 m) tall, has been breached nearly 2,000 times in the last three years, Villareal said. Even if Trump?s wall never gets funded, Villareal said, the border patrol might incorporate one or more of the new wall designs as it replaces worn sections of the existing fence. Six contractors from across the country were selected to build the eight prototypes, all of which will be completed this week. The builders paid attention to aesthetics in their bid to win lucrative contracts. One wall segment features deep-blue steel and another has a brick facade, standing in sharp contrast to the area?s existing border fence, a ramshackle structure of corrugated steel left over from the Vietnam War. In late November, a private company, which border patrol officials declined to name, will begin a 30- to 60-day process of testing the wall prototypes to determine how easy they would be to climb over or dig beneath. The final selection could be a combination of the prototype designs, Villareal said. While solid, concrete walls have a daunting presence, they might have an adverse effect on some border patrol activities, since agents would not be able to see potential crossers approaching the wall. ?It?s not so much the size of the wall, it?s the ability to see whether it?s 10 people or 30 people with ... rifles,? said Rowdy Adams, a former border patrol agent who left the agency in 2011 after 30 years. ?It?s important to see that and set your response plan in place.? Two of the eight prototypes have a see-through design. Environmentalists have warned that a solid wall would prevent wildlife, including a dwindling population of federally protected ocelots, from crossing. A concrete wall may also prove challenging to build without participation from some of the world?s largest concrete suppliers. Mexico?s Cemex and Switzerland?s LafargeHolcim told Reuters they were not participating in projects associated with the wall.

Bitcoin Investment © TechSpot As the world is getting more and more reliant on the internet, Bitcoin's increasing traction seems inevitable. And when we look at the present scenario, one Bitcoin is worth hundreds of dollars. Why are they so valuable? There are only 21 million Bitcoins in the world. As time goes on, they become harder and harder to obtain, just like a precious stone. There are some platforms like Zebpay through which you can buy and sell Bitcoins in India. It is as hassle-free as it could be on an app, without you digging deep to understand the technology behind it. Following the game, India also launched its first, local cryptocurrency with the name, ATC Coin. With it, you can pay, invest and do whatever you can with digital currency. You can just download their app and others like it and start investing small as per your understanding. You can start with 1000 bucks in your wallet and choose the sector you want to invest in. It is that simple.
