  1. I believe that Chris Evans is the most superior Chris in Hollywood - sorry Hemsworth, not so sorry Pratt - and I'm not the only one. Even Iron Man himself seems to agree. Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans have one of the best bromance I have ever seen and they both never shy away from a little PDA. From sharing memes of each other to some old-fashioned trolling, the two OG Avengers know how to keep themselves and their fans entertained, even when they're not on the big screen. While 'Avengers: Endgame' may be the last Marvel movie these both superheroes appear in, we can at least take some comfort in the fact that they will always be BFFs and will always give us quality Twitter content. Case in point, RDJ's latest tweet, which is about, any guess? The best Chris, of course. BFFs let you share their umbrellas, right @ChrisEvans ? pic.twitter.com/1nJoJrFkZr — Robert Downey Jr (@RobertDowneyJr) March 13, 2019 Look, he's also saying BFFs. Chris loves all the love he gets from RDJ. Technically it's YOUR umbrella. But I'm happy to hold it. https://t.co/tFqWFqCSv3 — Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) March 13, 2019 Name a better duo, I'll wait. Everyone loves all of their interactions and honestly, who wouldn't? Same, Marvel, same. 2. Let's face it, it has not been the best of days for the Chelsea Football Club in the recent past. After facing a crushing 6-0 defeat at the hands of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City a couple of weeks ago, the Blues saw another internal drama take the centre stage when goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga decided to openly dishonour his manager Maurizio Sarri during the Carabao Cup final against the Citizens. However, it seems as if the Football Gods had had enough fun with the struggling Chelsea FC and decided to provide them with some sort of reimbursement. In came Tottenham Hotspur Right Wing-Back Kieran Trippier. In an English Premier League match up early this morning, Tottenham Hotspur (EPL Rank 3) went head to head against Chelsea FC (EPL Rank 6) and lost 0-2 to the Blues in spectacular fashion. However, a lot of credit for Chelsea's win must go to the Hotspur defender Trippier who did exactly the opposite of what his job description said he does: defend his side of the goal. Trippier. pic.twitter.com/bNQmN3aeyK — Busonzio (@Busonzio) February 27, 2019 When the Chelsea forwards decided to make a late-game push for another goal after Pedro's excellent strike in the 57th minute, the ball tumbled down to Trippier with no Blues player in his vicinity. The 28-year-old then decided to pass the ball to his keeper Hugo Lloris (at least that's what we think he wanted to do). Typical defender move, right? However, what Trippier did not realise was the fact that Lloris was running right towards him with the net completely unguarded. His skilful and unbelievably accurate shot thus placed the ball right in the bottom left corner of the goal post. Within microseconds of sending the ball for an own goal, the British footballer had realised what a mess he had created, as his keeper stood still, shaking his head in disbelief. The fiasco brought forward a five-year-old tweet the footballer had put up. “Come on Chelsea,” he had said one year before he had signed with Tottenham in 2015. Hotspur fans and well, fans of football in general were quick to jump on to the glorious internet to roast the unfortunate defender with the best memes they could think of: 𤣠Kieran Trippier. ð¤¦‍âï¸ð¤¦‍âï¸ð¤¦‍âï¸ #CHETOT pic.twitter.com/R6hLmoaOLD — Sky Bet (@SkyBet) February 27, 2019 Kieran Trippier has always been a Chelsea fan pic.twitter.com/iFAr2bvwr5 — The Futbol Sphere (@TTOFz) February 27, 2019 Trippier has better 1v1 finishing than Morata. #CHETOT pic.twitter.com/eysZBdTvw4 — Naman Khandelwal (@yungnaman) February 27, 2019 Players that need to leave the club this Summer: Trippier Ben Davies Lamela Aurier Dier We can't be a top tier contender having these kind of players. — Patrick Souza (@PatrickRSouza) February 28, 2019 Nobody: Kieran Trippier: pic.twitter.com/MpWUxGI13n — Steven (@SPURSWlN) February 28, 2019 The internet never forgets…but you know that, right?
  3. Remember the time when aftershaves weren't popular yet, and your barber used to rub your face with a block of 'Fitkari' post a shave? Well, if you're too young and from a metro city, you'd probably not even know what 'Fitkari' or Alum is, and for good reason. Fitkari or Alum (also called potassium alum, potash alum, or potassium aluminium sulfate) is a colourless astringent compound which is a hydrated double sulphate of aluminium and potassium, used in solution in dyeing and tanning. It is easily available in the market, and here are 5 reasons why every man should keep some of it handy in his bathroom cabinet. 1. As An Aftershave Alum can be used after a shave instead of an aftershave lotion. It stops bleeding from minor cuts, and is a great skin healer. © Getty Images 2. As A Natural Toner And Skin Tightener Alum is an amazing toner, and also tightens the skin, giving it a natural glow. Especially for older people who suffer from sensitive skin, this can be a great alternative to regular products. © Instagram/Tigerjackieshroff 3. As A Cure For Mouth Ulcers Alum can be used to cure mouth ulcers and canker sores. All one needs to do is put some alum powder on top of the ulcer/sore, leave it on for about 30-40 seconds, and then wash it off. 4. For Bad Breath Add a pinch of alum powder along with a pinch of rock salt to a glass of warm water and use it as a mouthwash. It acts as a great natural alternative to a mouthwash. © Getty Images 5. To Get Rid Of Dark Circles A little bit of alum powder mixed with water, when applied on dark circles, will help you get rid of them. One product, so many benefits! The more you know, they said.
  4. The iPhone is the most selling product every year and the small line-up of phones has a huge market share in the developed markets. Hence, it's no surprise that rumours mills are always churning out something new. The 2019 iPhones are expected to launch in September, but we're already hearing a lot about them. Analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo are known to be highly reliable and have a track record of revealing accurate reports over the past few years. Now, Kuo has released an analyst note that contains his predictions about the upcoming iPhones. The predictions have corroborating reports stating that Apple could announce three new iPhones this year. © Apple According to him, the new iPhones shall have the same screen sizes and the notch isn't going anywhere as well. The iPhone XR successor is expected to get an OLED display, instead of the current LCD. The phones shall also have an upgraded Face ID array, bigger batteries, and a frosted glass casing. Another major update will be a triple rear camera setup on one of the phones. Previous Bloomberg reports have also said that Apple is testing the new camera array, and given the current trends of the market, it makes more sense. Huawei's flagships have been a killer in the segment, and even Samsung has been trying to catch-up. © Imgur The upcoming iPhones are also expected to get an ultra-wideband radio for indoor navigation and bilateral wireless charging. The latter lets you charge other smaller devices wirelessly via your iPhone. This shall come in extremely handy to quickly charge AirPods on the go. In fact, even the AirPods are going to get a successor this year and the AirPods 2 are reported to sport better health tracking, finely tuned audio output, as well as better battery life. Even the much-awaited AirPower charging mat shall be finally coming this year. © Apple Lastly, the new iPhones will continue using the Lightning connector, instead of opting for USB-C. This may be good news for many, but those who already use the new MacBook or iPad Pro know how annoying it can get to carry separate charging wires everywhere. What do you think about the new iPhones? Let us know in the comments section below! Source: 9to5Mac
  5. Every once in a while, we see the union of some of the most influential people of their respective fields. Power couples like Beyonce and Jay Z, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, Barack and Michelle Obama are obviously atop the list. But what about those couples that are exclusive to sports? 1. Dinesh Karthik & Dipika Pallikal View this post on Instagram Missing my lady @dipikapallikal A post shared by Dinesh Karthik (@dk00019) on Jul 28, 2018 at 7:10am PDT One of the most successful wicketkeepers for the Indian cricket team, Dinesh Karthik is well on his way to getting selected for India's 2019 World Cup roster. Barring the last T20I match against New Zealand, Karthik is one of the more dependable batsmen for India. His wife, Dipika Pallikal is the most successful squash player in the country to play professionally. With her highest world rankings at 10 (2012), Pallikal even won the gold in the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. 2. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon View this post on Instagram âªThat moment when going out for groceries turns into an upcoming episode of @CarpoolKaraoke with @StephanieMcMahon. Btw, I sound much better when I lip sync… A post shared by Paul "Triple H" Levesque (@tripleh) on May 31, 2018 at 1:14pm PDT Spearheading the most famous wrestling show in the world, this power couple may be the strongest married duo (and we mean that literally) of all time. While wrestler Triple H is one of the best in-ring performers of the business, the involvement of his wife Stephanie McMahon, in some of the most epic storylines during WWE's 'Attitude Era' was absolutely entertaining and worth watching time and time again. 3. Saina Nehwal & Parupalli Kashyap View this post on Instagram Photo shoot ð¸ð¸... #magazine ðð¸ A post shared by SAINA NEHWAL (@nehwalsaina) on Feb 7, 2019 at 8:01am PST The newest power couple on the block, shuttlers Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap have found new form ever since they tied the knot last year. Much senior in experience when it comes to competitive badminton, Saina Nehwal can often be seen coaching Kashyap during games. However, she has also publicly announced that her husband has brought in a lot of changes in her game that have led to some great advancements in her performance. 4. Winning the 2017 Allan Border Medal in the best Test bowler category for his performance against Sri Lanka in 2016, Starc is also a decent batsman who is only 14th Aussie to take 100+ wickets and score 1000+ runs in Test cricket. His wife and also an Aussie cricketer, Alyssa Healy on the other hand, just capped a brilliant year as she won the prestigious Belinda Clark Award while also being named ODI and T20 player of the year during the Australia's Women's Awards.

  7. While we're happy for Ranbir Kapoor when he gave us 'Sanju', the biggest hit of 2018, there are some movies he perhaps inadvertently didn't give his all too, which plummeted at the box office. Why're we telling you this? Well, because when he was giving us back-to-back flops films like 'Besharam' (2014), 'Roy' (2015), 'Tamasha' (2015) and 'Jagga Jasoos' (2017), he was actually trolled by a cop and asked to stop doing so! © Fox Star Studios Well, not literally trolled but recently the actor attended the Umang Police Show 2019 and narrated an incident when a cop asked him to stop one night and upon recognising him, gave him a lecture about his career and how he shouldn't give any more flops and instead, suggested he does a film where he plays a policeman! © Eros International Ranbir went onto stage and narrated the incident to Shah Rukh Khan who was also on stage with him and other prominent guests who were amidst the audience. The cop first stopped his car and upon recognising him, he took a picture with Ranbir, only to sit and give him some detailed career advice on how his next film should be a one where he plays a cop. © Viral Bhayani I mean I wish it was so easy to stop most Bollywood actors and and give them some unsolicited advice on some things they probably shouldn't have done! But I guess the Mumbai policeman was lucky enough to encounter one of the biggest stars in Bollywood and sit him down over some serious talk. © Instagram Watch the video of Ranbir narrating this during the Umang Police Show 2019! Video: Ranbir Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan and Manish Paul on stage. #Umang2019 #umangpoliceshow2019 #RanbirKapoor #Ranbir #ShahRukhKhan #ManishPaul #Bollywood A post shared by Ranbir Kapoor Universe (@ranbirkapooruniverse) on Jan 27, 2019 at 10:00am PST But on an endearing note, I believe it was quite sweet of the cop to suggest something like that to Ranbir, since the policeman would actually want a fine actor to emulate the role of a policeman in a film. If directors do have any good scripts or ideas for a cop-based film, they should definitely get in touch with Ranbir, as he's told the cop he'd be open to doing it, but hasn't had a chance yet. Well, here's hoping Ranbir!
  8. Attention kids! The class is in session. Manchester United's David De Gea's 'How To Be The Greatest Goalkeeper: 101' was probably the best educational experience you would have loved to sit through today. In a Premier League matchup between ManU and Tottenham Hotspurs earlier today, De Gea totalled a grand eleven saves against the Lilywhites some of which were otherworldly. Here are the match highlights: His 11 saves gave the Spaniard a new record for making the most number of saves in a game without giving up a single goal. His efforts were recognised by match-commentator, Gary Neville who said: “De Gea's been inspired. He's brilliant with his feet, closing the angle off and kicking it away… He'll have to frame those boots at the end of the game!” After Marcus Rashford gave United a 1-0 lead in the 44th minute, it was De Gea's exceptional performance especially in the second half which has now added to ManU's still interim coach Ole Gunnar's undefeated winning streak. Before Gunnar took over as the manager for the club, they were eight points behind their age-old rival Arsenal. Around three weeks later, Manchester United are now equal with the Gunners for the fifth place with 41 points apiece. After De Gea's phenomenal show, he was named the Man of the Match. ð¾Man of the Match, @ManUtd's David De Gea ð¾ â11 saves (all in the 2nd half), the most by any keeper in a PL fixture this season â13.75% of his saves in PL this season were in the 2nd half âBack-to-back PL clean sheets for the 1st time since a run of 4, Dec 2017-Jan 2018 pic.twitter.com/zJnmcHNPgF — Sky Sports Statto (@SkySportsStatto) January 13, 2019 Here are some of the most hilarious reactions De Gea's performance gathered: condoms can never be safe as DE Gea ðð — STEW™ (@BigVibes7) January 13, 2019 This Rival fan reacting to David De Gea's saves is the funniest thing you'll see today ð#mufc pic.twitter.com/9XXqeAklJC — ManUnitedZone (@ManUnitedZone_) January 13, 2019 Things de gea would save. pic.twitter.com/dkNWUzeyGU — auba-laca (@dasilva_taiwo) January 14, 2019 The only keeper better than De Gea pic.twitter.com/zn6BVHFPvL — Tendai (@NotTendai) January 14, 2019 De Gea in goal like.... 𤣠pic.twitter.com/9oMeNjKuHo — Sqrt of π (@w_mweri) January 13, 2019 sorry. #Degea #MUFC pic.twitter.com/dBhhdWfT1f — Muhammad Reyhan (@Reymuhammad23) January 14, 2019 because #davesaves @D_DeGea ð¤·ð»‍âï¸ pic.twitter.com/Pxa6EPrn8U — • (@mirzazsyahputra) January 14, 2019 @D_DeGea can save everything #GGMU #mufc #TheLegOfGod pic.twitter.com/VnlVM52y1a — Pokuase PoGbað (@RaygetsToosweet) January 14, 2019
  9. Be it his 270 knock against Pakistan or an extremely fine innings against England where he scored a brilliant 148, Rahul Dravid is and will always be the master of Test cricket. With going against the time, Dravid stuck to the basics and dominated the field with his defensive batting style even when the era of reckless and offensive batting had taken over. One of a kind, Dravid is loved by cricketers and fans from all around the world. His greatness has been well documented and is studied and glorified by the pundits of the game even today. As the cricketer turns 46 today, here is what some of the legends of the game have to say about 'The Wall': Ian Chappell © Reuters Dravid has always been India's superhero who showed up at the 11th hour to rescue his team from jaws of defeat and to victory, case in point, the Test match between India and England back in 2011 when Gautam Gambhir was unable to play due to a concussion and Dravid had to replace him as the opener. The block that he is, scored a stunning century. Brett Lee © Reuters Dravid is the nicest guy one could ever fancy meeting. For a person who has achieved so much, he has never been the one to let his success get to his head. While players of his stature tend to retire with a farewell tour, Dravid said 'goodbye' to the sport in a press conference in his home ground, the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Shoaib Akhtar © Reuters He was not called 'The Wall' for no reason. His knock against Australia in Adelaide back in 2003, where he scored a massive 233 runs in a single innings, exemplifies the reassurance Dravid was to the Indian cricket team. He was the backbone of the team that was essential for the proper functioning of the squad. Harsha Bhogle © Reuters Dravid has always been the one to highlight the achievements of his teammates. Never shying away from acknowledging the efforts put in by a batsman he shared a successful partnership or a bowler who bagged a couple of wickets to get the team a win, he is all about his fellow Men in Blue. Bhogle once wondered aloud “How can a man be so selfless,” and we still don't have an answer. Rahul Dravid © Reuters And that's who Rahul Dravid is, in essence. Never to fall for materialistic things like money, Dravid truly played earn his opponents' respect and pride and that's exactly what made Rahul Dravid, Rahul Dravid. Happy birthday, 'The Wall'!
  10. One of the most awaited movies of early 2019, Vijay Ratnakar Gutte's 'The Accidental Prime Minister' released today and it's already creating a mighty uproar amongst the audience. The movie is based on the political journey of our former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh from 2004-2014, and since its first trailer launched, the film has gathered a lot of controversy around it, especially from the political front. A lot of people are calling it 'propaganda' before the general elections this year and while we're wondering why these doubts weren't addressed when the book, written by Sanjaya Baru, was released, we're also hoping the movie does fairly well. © Rudra Productions (UK) Amongst everything else, the audience is appreciating Anupam Kher's portrayel as Dr. Manmohan Singh and along with a few celebrities, the audience has tweeted some extremely positive things about it. Here are some Twitter reactions from celebrities and people, who've already seen the movie, just in case you're looking for a quick and on-point review before you go and watch it this weekend. Well, from a renowned journalist's point of view: Saw #AccidentalPrimeMinister and felt very uneasy at the end of it. Just like after reading the book. I wish the book had never been written and the movie never been made. I don't want to remember the the 10 years of Dr Singh this way. — Smita Prakash (@smitaprakash) 10 January 2019 Divya Dutta appreciates Anupam Kher's work in the movie: Watched #AccidentalPrimeMinister .the supremely gifted @AnupamPKher performs the toughest role with such elan..m speechless.respect sire and big hug! Praise coming from a national award winning actor like you is so heart warming and encouraging.ðð https://t.co/g6tneELOP2 — Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) 10 January 2019 Shekhar Kapoor says it best: Two very strong performances make #AccidentalPrimeMinister a must see film. Akshaye Khanna and Anupam Kher. Anupam creates Manmohan Singh as a man who seems weak but carries great strength inside. Yet ultimately finds that principles and politics do not go together @AnupamPKher — Shekhar Kapur (@shekharkapur) 10 January 2019 What @AnupamPKher has done in playing Manmohan Singh in #AccidentalPM is to create something that could easily have become a caricature, into a breathing relatable human being that you want to reach out to and hug. That takes a lot of skill. — Shekhar Kapur (@shekharkapur) 10 January 2019 Thank you dearest @shekharkapur for being so gracious and magnanimous in your appreciation of my work in #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. Coming from you it means the world to me.ðð https://t.co/KbutGvjoHr — Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) January 10, 2019 Thank you dearest @shekharkapur for being so gracious and magnanimous in your appreciation of my work in #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. Coming from you it means the world to me.ðð https://t.co/KbutGvjoHr — Anupam Kher (@AnupamPKher) January 10, 2019 Anil Kapoor too lauded friend Anupam Kher's performance: Just like every role you do, @AnupamPKher you have done full justice to this character as well. You're such a great story teller! This definitely was a difficult film and could only be done by an actor par excellence. You are impeccable! #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister pic.twitter.com/tWogx1zSXL — Anil Kapoor (@AnilKapoor) January 10, 2019 And of course the audience who had to share their reviews on Twitter had a lot to say as well: For a while, I forgot that he is @AnupamPKher not MMS, what an actin by kher. Just watched #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister — Tushar Makwana (@tusharmakwana5) January 10, 2019 Every Indian Should watch #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister Superb Acting by @AnupamPKher Ji A must watch movie The movie has many villains but Dr. Manmohan Singh will be a Hero after this movie for sure — Mrigank Tyagi (@TheMrigankTyagi) January 10, 2019 Forget the pols.... #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister is one of the bravest film to happn in d recent times. CM sahab, awaiting your review. — Delhi Boy (@vipulIT) January 11, 2019 So far the reactions have been positive and most of them have been towards Anupam Kher's performance in the movie. While Kher sets the standard way high by giving an excellent performance, we also have people talking about Akshaye Khanna's role in the movie who play's Sanjaya Baru. © Rudra Productions (UK) In case you're looking for a movie to check out this weekend, we believe this one will be your best bet. The movie should be a good watch for how the characters have been caricatured in the movie and of course the story line that can eliminate all possible doubt, ever, if you haven't read the book of course!
  11. Over the years, we've heard way too many bizarre claims relating to science which won't ever be scientifically accurate in a million years and now, we have a new one to add to the list. G Nageshwar Rao, the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University, claimed that India had the knowledge of stem cell research, test tube fertilisation and guided missiles thousands of years ago, using Mahabharata and Ramayana as examples. Yep, all of that has been in our country for years - in fact, thousands of years - and we never even knew! Well, I guess you learn something new every day. #WATCH: GN Rao,Vice-Chancellor Andhra University at Indian Science Congress y'day in Jalandhar:How come Gandhari gave birth to 100 children?Stem cell research was done 1000 yrs ago in this country,we had 100 Kauravas from one mother because of stem cell&test tube-baby technology. pic.twitter.com/C9nlaYwB7p — ANI (@ANI) January 5, 2019 This all went down at the 106th Indian Science Congress in Jalandhar. He said, “We had hundreds of Kauravas from one mother because of stem cell research and test tube baby technology,” Rao claimed. “It happened a few thousand years ago. This was science in this country...Mahabharat says, 100 eggs were fertilised and put into 100 earthen pots. Are they not test tube babies? 12. When it comes to being popular, no one can compete with the Pataudi/Khan family. As if Saif and Kareena weren't enough, along came the whirlwind called Taimur, and took the nation by storm. Post that, Sara's spunky appearance on Koffee along with her mature performance in Kedarnath got her a huge fan base already. One person in the family, who hasn't yet been under the pap lights, is Ibrahim. His latest Instagram post, however, tells us that is going to change soon. Take a look. © Instagram/iakpataudi Ibrahim is already famous as Saif's taller carbon copy. He looks exactly like a younger version of his dad - only with better clothes. © Instagram/iakpataudi While Sara looks like a young Amrita, Ibrahim has the royal charm that Saif is all about, and we can't help but think that he has all the potential to make a kickass Bollywood star - at least superficially, for now. © Instagram/iakpataudi We like his old school style game, that is reminiscent of the Pataudi brand of sophistication. We love the subtle shirt along with the bow he is sporting here. © Instagram/iakpataudi What we find really interesting is that despite looking exactly like Saif, he is way taller. Plus, he has the unusual exotic features that will easily set him apart in an industry already crowded with good-looking men. © Twitter © Twitter © Instagram/iakpataudi All the best, Ibrahim!
  13. Even though the gentlemen's game started off with a basic all-white outfit in the field to begin with, glamour has finally caught up with the sport, and now it's perhaps more fashionable than any other sport. Indian cricketers, at the moment, are giving Bollywood actors a run for their money when it comes to being stylish, and brands are using that to their benefit, rightfully so. 2018 has witnessed a plethora of such instances, because cricketers in India now are more fashionable than ever. Here, we have compiled a list of 6 Indian cricketers who hit some huge fashion boundaries throughout the year. 1. Virat Kohli Virat Kohli got married last year, and his wedding outfit legit haunted Ranveer Singh - even after a year. If that doesn't say a lot about the man and his fashion sense, we don't know what else does. Virat's fashion game is as strong as his prowess on the field, and he has been proving it time and time again. © Instagram/viratkohli © Times Now © Instagram/viratkohli © Manyavar 2. Hardik Pandya Hardik Pandya is the poster boy of all things 'bling' in Indian cricket, and he clearly intends to take things far. 14. There seems to be a magical place where so many dude bros claim to be stuck in. Have you ever heard of it? It's a dreaded place called the 'Friendzone' and it's apparently every guy's nightmare. I mean, who wants to be friends? That too with girls? That's just wrong, it just goes against nature, isn't it? Well, where is this place, though? I did some research (actually no, I just used some common sense) and found out the place actually doesn't even exist. Yes folks, friendzone isn't real and it's not up for debate, it's a fact. With so many people still living in denial about it, a lot of people online make fun of this imaginary place and here are the best one. It really is a big commitment. 17. All of us, at some point in life, have planned to start running or participate in a marathon. I have met people from all walks of life, people who are from the corporate sector, housewives, or even people who have just graduated from college. I had people of all shapes, sizes, and weights who have taken up running and it's been a wonderful experience helping them to take up this sport and not just make it into something which becomes challenging or an activity which alleviates anxiety and stress but as a life-changing experience that you keep for good. While speed, strength, endurance, and stamina are perquisites for running the marathon, being equipped with the right gear enhances your performance further. Did you know it's a good idea to keep your running day and training day shoes separate? Here are some important tips to keep in mind when you plan your next 10km run. 1) Start Early To Finish Early It takes anywhere between 14 to 16 weeks for the buildup required to run a 10K race. It helps you stay consistent and ensures your prep is satisfactory for the race. © Nike 2) Don't Focus On Just Running! Warm ups are essential because you need to prepare your body and your heart to take up the rigors of training. The muscles need to be warmed up so that they are ready to generate force. If they are not warmed up and are cold, there are chances of having a muscle tear. So warm up is essential to open your blood vessels and for your heart to comfortably start pumping blood and for the body's core temperature to rise, helping you to be on the go. You can choose a relevant 15min workout on the Nike Training App before you start your run which will not only warm you up but also strengthen you. 3) Don't Just Beat Your Time But Even Eat On Time A good diet is important for running a marathon, a nutritionist or a coach should be able to give you the right meal plan to prep up your body for race day. There are specific quantities to be consumed based on how much you run. For example, carbohydrates should be consumed to the extent of 8 – 10 gms / Kg of body weight. Protein intake is about 1.2 gms / kg of body weight. © Pixabay 4) The Tapering Effect Yes, consistent practice and training are very important but what is also important is that you are tapered well—that means you have reduced your training and you are arriving at the start line relatively fresh-legged. 5) Even Though You Are Happy And Pumped Up, Let Your Body Rest And Recover While you are still pumped up and exhilarated from completing that 10K run, it is important to take appropriate nutrition – carbohydrates and proteins to replenish your body's amino acids and carbohydrates, once the race is over. Adequate rest and active recovery are crucial. A carbohydrate and protein meal within an hour of finishing the race and a post-race massage after 24 hours are good for a recovery. 18. You may have noticed the so-called influencers, celebrities, and maybe some of your friends get a dip in the number of followers they have. Well, that's because the company has announced that it will systematically eliminate fake followers, likes, and comments that users may have purchased through third-party apps and platforms. Instagram influence is worth big money these days, and many users have turned to third-party services to gain fake followers and likes. The crackdown comes as Instagram parent Facebook strives to assure people that the leading social network and its services can be trusted. © Reuters “Accounts we identify using these services will receive an in-app message alerting them that we have removed the inauthentic likes, follows and comments given by their account to others. We will also ask them to secure their account by changing their password,” Instagram said in an official statement. Third-party services that generate fake followers, likes, and comments violate both Community Guidelines and its Terms of Use. Instagram says it has “built machine learning tools” to help detect accounts growing artificially. The latest move is to reduce inauthentic or artificial activity on the platform on a much wider scale. © Instagram Instagram users who continue to use such third-party apps possibly seeing their "experience impacted", but the service did not specify in what ways. Engagement manipulation has long plagued platforms like YouTube and Twitter, and Instagram is no different. Wannabe "influencers" buy up these fake profiles to garner more engagement and in turn mislead clients. © Reuters Instagram's parent company Facebook has been battling against fake profiles as well and has removed 754 million fake accounts in the past quarter alone. Facebook has been proactive and concerned over the usage of fake profiles on its platform since the Cambridge Analytica scandal, wherein Ad campaigns were launched to influence the result of a Presidential Election. Fake profiles are also increasingly posting "fake news" and spreading false rumours. Though, coming back to Instagram, the presence of these fake profiles removes the authenticity of a post and misleads the users. These fake profiles also influence the algorithm based feed to push out targeted content, depriving genuine users.

  20. The Indian cricket team has been busy scaling new heights in international cricket lately. Team India blanked West Indies 2-0 in the Test series, 3-1 in the ODIs and, more recently, 3-0 in the T20Is. While their clinical performances throughout the tour elated the fans, the absence of iconic cricketer MS Dhoni left many disheartened. The Indian selectors turned a few heads after dropping Dhoni from the recently-concluded three-match T20I series against West Indies. And, then, the absence of the Jharkhand cricketer from the Indian squad for the T20I series against Australia, too, left the home fans bemused. While his teammates have been busy cutting a sorry figure for the Windies, Dhoni seems to be making the most of his time away from the playing field. Rhiti Sports, which manages Dhoni's endorsements, took to Twitter and shared the photos of the promo where Dhoni was seen enjoying his time in a sport other than cricket. Flexing his toned muscles on the Kabaddi mat, Dhoni was seen pulling off iconic moves that are associated with the sport, including the one that is generally performed by Shikhar Dhawan whenever he takes a catch on the cricket field. Apart from Dhoni, his celebrity stylist Sapna Bhavnani was also seen in the pictures. While Dhoni seems to be having a gala time off the field, the Indian cricket team now gears up for a sterner test as they travel to Australia for four Tests, three T20Is and as many ODIs. Eager to prove their mettle Down Under, Virat Kohli-led brigade will be eager to put their best foot forward when they begin the tour with the T20I series, slated to begin from 21st November.

  23. The ketogenic diet is the new in-thing for fad dieters across the globe lately. The fad has become so popular that anyone and everyone who knows about this diet is supposedly an expert in nutrition now. How Is It A Fad Diet? It makes dubious claims like there is no other diet you should follow, it treats diseases medical science has spent decades on researching and they are still finding a way out, it has magical superpowers, you will spot unicorns if you go on this diet and so on. I do not hate the dietary pattern as such but it is promoted as the only thing that works and that is my problem. And then there is a certain section of hardcore fad fanatics who take it to the next level of stupidity. In the nutrition world, we like to call them keto-tards. What are the five signs that someone has become a keto-tard? 1) They Buy Ketone Supplements These supplements suggest that they induce dietary ketosis and thus you will end up burning more fat as fuel. This makes keto-tards stick to their ketone supplements like a bee to honey. Maybe the analogy is pointless as honey is not keto friendly. Getting back to the point, dietary ketosis does not mean anything unless you are in a caloric deficit. You can have all the ketones running in your blood and still get fat if you eat more calories. 2) They Keep Adding Fat To All Their Food © YouTube Coffee? Add butter and coconut oil. Eggs? Add heaps of butter to it. Meat? Have the fattiest portion and cook it with more fat. That, right there, is a logical fallacy. How so? The idea that someone had to go on a diet was to cut down their caloric intake and lose some weight. By just adding a lot of fat to every meal of theirs and not accounting for it, they are inviting more trouble to their bodies. 3) Calories Do Not Count This is the epitome of stupid by keto-tards. Just because they can induce self-suffering by cutting out an entire macronutrient from their diets, they think they supersede the laws of thermodynamics and become some special beings. Calories do not count on keto? Yeah, and earth is flat. © YouTube 4) They Keto Recipe Everything These fad fanatics create keto version of every possible food on the planet. They will add either some very expensive ingredients or will create some magical concoction of food items just to get a taste similar to that of the normal and easy to prepare recipes out there. And the funny part is, most of these recipes are twice the caloric value of the original recipe, thrice in the cost of preparation, and taste something that is not even close to the original delicacy. How is that helpful? 5) They Think Keto Is The Answer To Everything Why is there a world war? Because not everyone follows keto. Why are there natural disasters? Because people were not on a keto diet! That may be exaggerated but these keto-tards do end up preaching keto as the tell-all solution to health and lifestyle disorders. Which, clearly, is not the case and there is evidence suggesting otherwise. But again, they have a moral responsibility to push their keto-tardness on everyone in sight. To conclude, follow a ketogenic diet if you want to. Time and again it has not shown to be beneficial, sustainable or performance friendly. If you still think it suits you better, more power to you.
