  1. The Indian cricket team might have lost the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final, but their record against Pakistan at the World Cup remains formidable. In a bid to change their fortunes, the Pakistani cricket team took the field against Team India at the ongoing ICC World Cup. But, what eventually unfolded at a packed Old Trafford stadium is bound to haunt Sarfaraz Ahmed's men for a while. In what turned out to be a one-sided contest, Virat Kohli-led India overshadowed Pakistan in almost all facets of the game to record an emphatic 89-run triumph (D/L) in Manchester. Thanks to their latest triumph, India have now extended their unbeaten run against Pakistan to seven games at the World Cup. Given their clinical performance, the Indian cricket fans were on cloud nine as memes, videos and celebratory messages thronged social media. While a Pakistani fan's rant questioning the fitness of Sarfaraz & Co went viral, Harbhajan Singh revelled in a spoof video that showed the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma dancing after beating Pakistan. 2. What's the first thing that comes to your mind when someone says doctor? Injections, painkillers, antibiotics, and perhaps a man with a grumpy face sitting with stethoscope. I am sure you get my point. Well, no matter what thoughts come to your mind, dancing never finds its way to the list. But, thanks to the Indian Air Force doctors, people can now imagine doctors as someone who is cool and likes to do fun stuff. Something like, clapping along to show that happiness is the truth, because they're happy. Twitter In case you didn't get it already, we're talking about the viral video of IAF doctors, who took a break from their work to dance to 'Happy', and let's just say this is the coolest thing we've seen on social media in recent times. Twitter Be it doctors, air force officers or patients; everyone is seen enjoying while dancing and dabbing to the tunes of Pharell Williams' hit song. Reportedly, it was shot at the 12 Air Force Hospital in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. If you Remember the Gangnam Style by the 68 DSSC at Wellington, in 2013, this will make your day. The man is busy shooting 'Good News' with Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor but still took out the time to release a new cool song for his fans out there. His latest track is titled 'Kylie + Kareena' and is dedicated to his celebrity crushes, Kylie Jenner and Kareena Kapoor Khan. 4. Voting is a fundamental right that every citizen deserves and should exercise as well. Believe it or not, but the entire nation's fate depends on the tiny mark of blue ink on your finger. Even our political leaders understand this, which is why they are busy with election campaigns and urging people to vote. Reuters PM Modi is also busy with the election campaign and almost a month ago, he had urged people (actors, cricketers and many prominent sports personalities) from all walks of life, to encourage their fans and followers to vote. In one of those tweets, PM Modi asked Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar to "creatively ensure high voter awareness and participation in the coming elections." Now, actor Shah Rukh Khan has responded to PM Modi's message and came up with a rap song, 'Karo Matdan', requesting people to go and vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha 2019 elections. YouTube/ Red Chillies Entertainment The song is not only peppy, but also brings to surface a talent in SRK that we weren't aware of - rapping. He wrote, "PM sahib @narendramodi ne creativity ki liye bola tha. Main thoda late ho gaya video banane mein...aap mat hona Vote karne mein!!! 'Voting is not only our Right, it is our Power.' Please Use It. Thank u to @tanishkbagchi @abbyviral @parakramsinghr." PM sahib @narendramodi ne creativity ki liye bola tha. Main thoda late ho gaya video banane mein...aap mat hona Vote karne mein!!! 'Voting is not only our Right, it is our Power.' Please Use It. Thank u to @tanishkbagchi @abbyviral @parakramsinghr . https://t.co/9280i8BnK3 — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) April 22, 2019 PM Modi too replied to the song and called it a "fantastic effort." He wrote, "I am sure the people of India, especially first time voters will pay heed to your appeal and come out to vote in large numbers." Fantastic effort, @iamsrk! I am sure the people of India, especially first time voters will pay heed to your appeal and come out to vote in large numbers https://t.co/y2OLgrwOOS — Chowkidar Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) April 22, 2019 Honestly, after listening to this song, we can't wait for a rap face-off between SRK and the OG 'Gully Boy' Ranveer Singh.
  5. 'Game Of Thrones' always pays great emphasis to the soundtrack, the songs and the music that become a part of the show somewhere or the other. Usually, the themes and end credit songs are something to always look forward to as they tell us a lot abbot the standing structure and theme of the particular episode citing incidents of historical importance. Just like how Podrick's song did in episode 2 of season 8: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. © HBO The episode is all about bidding final goodbyes in Winterfell before the eventual fate is faced the next morning, or so the mighty men and women seem to believe. While Arya wants her last night in the arms of the man she fancies, Sansa warms up to Theon after he chooses to fight against the dead. Greyworm and Missandei are making grand future plans to visit Naath after the war is over and a bunch of people are sitting around the fire warming their emotions and indulging in some worthy banter and storytelling. Jaime knights Brienne of Tarth, while Tyrion fills everyone's cups with ale, requesting someone to sing a song. The quiet and unassuming Podrick Payne steps up to the occasion and belts out an old time classic called 'Jenny's Song'. © HBO The song is taken directly from George RR Martin's book: The Song of Ice and Fire and it connects to the larger scheme of things in the storyline. The song is primarily thought to be about 'Jenny of the Oldstones', a girl Duncan Targaryen was madly in love with. Duncan happens to be Daenerys's uncle and the Mad King's elder brother, making him the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Well, what does this piece of information have to do with what's going on right now? A lot apparently! The song directly relates to Duncan's love for Jenny, Rhaegar's love for Lyanna and Jon and Dany's love for each other. Just like how Duncan left his throne for Jenny, the assumption that Jon or Dany might do the same for one another, now that Jon is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne and Dany is well aware of that fact, bringing the Azor Ahai prophecy to light as well. The song plays on many levels, talking about making great sacrifices for the one true love, as it has always happened in history and might take shape in the present as well through the only two Targaryens left. © HBO So, if Duncan gave up his throne for love, will Dany do the same for Jon is the question, and that's what the song highlights. The song though has only presented the readers with one important line in the book: "High in the halls of kings who are gone, Jenny would dance with her ghosts". This reference goes back to 'Summerhall', a Targaryen castle, where a great fire broke out and killed Aegon Targaryen V and Duncan, Jenny's Prince. So, when the line reads "Jenny would dance with her ghosts", it means she'd be dancing with Duncan and Aegon V. © HBO But the version in the episode, the one that Pod sings to show off his vocal skills goes something like this: " The ones she had lost and the ones she had found, And the ones who had love her the most. The ones who'd been gone for so very long, She couldn't remember their names. They spun her around on the damp old stone, Spun away all her sorrow and pain. And she never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. Never wanted to leave. While the last lines repeat, we see a montage of Sam, Gilly and little Sam, Greyworm and Missandei and Theon and Sansa, characters that may not survive the war between the living and the dead. © HBO Well, Jon has forfeited love for duty in the past, when he gave up his love for Ygritte and sided with the Night's Watch because that was the right thing to do according to him and here he is, once again put up to a test and we're wondering if he'll forfeit his love once again for Dany! Well, only time will tell, that's all I can say. For now, the assumption that the song has something very significant to do with what lies ahead is very overpowering, because it talks about love from a long time ago, weaving its way into a love that's very much a part of the present. While we're not sure who gives up on their destiny of love first, we do know that perhaps both won't make it alive to the throne and whoever does make it, the sacrifices they made to get to the throne will haunt them for life. © HBO For now, to digest this heavy piece of information, give Jenny's Song a hear. It's performed by Florence and the Machine and it goes by the name 'Jenny of Oldstones'.
  6. With just a few days left for the release of this year's biggest release, 'Avengers: Endgame', our excitement has reached its pinnacle. With each passing day our wait is only getting harder, as people continue to flood the internet with theories related to Thanos and the superheroes who are all set to 'avenge the fallen'. Marvel Studios While everyone is busy wondering what Thanos is up to in the MCU, we've got our hands on an exclusive footage of him dancing with none other than Spiderman. And not just any song, but Varun Dhawan's song 'First Class' from his upcoming movie 'Kalank'. Well, we're not cooking this up, someone actually imagined it and made a Tik Tok video out of it. Dharma Productions What's more, Thanos might be dancing on Varun Dhawan's 'First Class', but his killer moves are inspired from our beloved Psy and his MV 'Gangnam Style'. Best #firstclass ever #avengersendgame https://t.co/DevsqIzbp4 — Varun ZAFAR Dhawan (@Varun_dvn) April 13, 2019 Seriously, if this isn't the best crossover ever, we wonder what is. In fact, Varun was so impressed with this that he couldn't stop himself from sharing it on social media. Directed by Abhishek Varman, 'Kalank' also stars Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt and is expected to release on April 17.
  7. 'Game of Thrones' is hands down one of the most popular TV series of recent times, and one simply cannot ignore the ardent fan following the show enjoys. From mind-boggling fan theories to crazy fans going out of their way to prove their loyalty, 'Game of Thrones' can boast of it all. © InstruMen However, much like it is the case with most fandoms, GOT fans have also proven their allegiance to the show time and again. Now with the eighth and final season fast approaching its premiere date on 15th April, the webscape is buzzing with excitement like never before. Amidst all this hubbub we stumbled upon IntruMen's capella version of the 'Game of Thrones' theme song, and boy does it sound more than nice! A group of six young men have gotten together and put instruments to rest while calling themselves 'InstruMen' and creating music that's more than pleasing to the ears. Comprising Arish Bhiwandiwala, Nathan Miles, Shaurya Singh, Aseem Trivedi, Akshar Oza and Dean Sequeira, InstruMen takes inspiration from myriad styles and genres such as Jazz, Hip-Hop to Classical, Reggae, RnB and even Indian Classical and Sufi. However, the inspiration to cover the GOT theme song dawned upon them while “we were at a practice session, in one of our breaks we were discussing what might happen in the finale season, and then it struck us that we absolutely have to cover the theme song of the show,” Dean Sequeira told MensXP. © InstruMen Without a doubt the guys are ardent GOT fans. Dean tells us, “All of us love GOT and we often have debates among ourselves as to who is the best character on the show. And well, needless to say, sometimes we forget that we're in the studio to practice and not to discuss GOT.” Even with their acapella rendition of the theme song, it's a mix of everything you expect, yet it's more. There is a freshness and upbeatness about it that is almost catchy. But alas, there is no way we can recreate what they have done! © InstruMen The response they have received so far on this video has been amazing, and Dean tells us that, “the amount of love and appreciation we have received since the video has dropped is incredible. We were absolutely stoked looking at the messages we were getting on our Instagram page and on our personal accounts.” We wish them the very best for their future projects and look forward to their creations.
  8. Tiger Shroff happens to be one of the few actors in Bollywood who can challenge Hrithik Roshan's capabilities as a dancer, one who is an absolute joy to watch. Hrithik has given quite a few memorable performances as a dancer over the years, ever since he made his debut in 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai' and his moves in the songs from that movie made women drool over this “Indian Greek god”. Well, if there was one other film whose songs became a rage with the millennials, it was 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'. One song from the film titled 'Deewana Hai Dekho' was played in every party and somebody would always perform on that song at an event. © Dharma Productions Close to 18 years since then, Tiger Shroff decided to recreate the song from K3G, calling it his “Fav movie...fav song!” and the end result is just as marvellous as it was so many years ago. Tiger Shroff's skills on the dance floor are unrivalled. He always manages to add his own touches which makes his performances all the more powerful, and this time too he has done just that! View this post on Instagram Fav movie...fav song! #k3g @hrithikroshan @karanjohar @piyush_bhagat @swainvikram @shaziasamji A post shared by Tiger Shroff (@tigerjackieshroff) on Mar 28, 2019 at 12:49am PDT The video that Tiger posted on his Instagram account saw 2,143,306 views in just 21 hours, and the comments pouring in totally resonate with how we feel about his rendition of this iconic song. While people are praising his performance and calling it “fire”, “smooth” and “killer”, one particular user went ahead to claim that Tiger looks more like Hrithik than Hrithik himself in that video, and we sort of agree. What do you guys think about it?
  9. In 1999, Sooraj Barjatya came up with 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', a movie that gave us the iconic song 'ABCDEFGHI...I LOVE YOU' (is it just me or you too sang this while reading it), and gave Salman Khan a bag full of controversies. Now, after a decade, people are going crazy over 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' once again for the most hilariously relatable reason. After a hiatus of 5 years, the Jonas Brothers are back in business and have released their latest song 'Sucker', which also features their respective partners Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas. While 'Sucker' is a huge hit globally and has already garnered over 33 million views in 48 hours, in India, the song ended up making 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' trend, as people couldn't help but draw funny comparisons between the two. Jonas Brothers While most of us were busy laughing on the joke, someone actually went ahead and created a parody video that will leave you in splits. The 2019 Oscars were an interesting blend of performances and winners and thankfully, a lot of predicted winners got their due and the much awaited golden lady as well, including none other than Lady Gaga who surprised and wowed the audiences last year when she teamed up with Bradley Cooper for 'A Star Is Born' and gave us the musical we deserved. 11. After becoming only the fourth Indian captain to win the ICC U-19 World Cup, Prithvi Shaw has established his reputation as one of the most promising young talents in the country. His exploits in the U-19 World Cup and domestic circuit fast-tracked him into the Indian team where he announced his arrival on the international circuit with a brilliant hundred on debut. His natural talent and artistry with the willow further saw him becoming a part of the Indian cricket team that toured Australia. But, while many expected young Shaw to shine Sachin Tendulkar Down Under, the Mumbai wonderkid unfortunately suffered an ankle injury that ruled him out of the Test series that was eventually won by his side in emphatic fashion. Since then, Shaw has been nursing his injury as India continues their tour of New Zealand. And, on 31st January, when his U-19 teammate Shubman Gill made his international debut in the 4th ODI at the Seddon Park, Shaw was seen taking inspiration from Ranveer Singh's viral rap song 'Apna Time Ayega' from his upcoming flick 'Gully Boy'. SHAW (@prithvishaw) on Jan 30, 2019 at 8:36am PST The 19-year-old took to Instagram and shared a photo of himself, holding the iconic MRF willow. Using the verse of Ranveer's song, Shaw captioned the image: "Aapna time ayega...Injury se fit hoke...Mein Aur Run Banayega...Apna Time Ayega". Making his debut in 2018 in the first Test of the home series against West Indies, Shaw made an immediate impact with a commendable hundred. He, then, followed it up with 103 runs in the second Test. In the two Tests he played, Shaw amassed 237 runs to eventually bag the 'Man of the Series' award. He was then prepping up for a stern test in Australia, but his injury ruled him out of the Test series. Since then, the young gun has been nursing his injury and recovering well, but he's still not fit enough to feature for India. While no comeback date has been set for him yet, Shaw recently told India TV that he would be fit for the twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he will be seen donning Delhi Capitals' jersey.

  13. Indian cricket team's Entertainer No. 1 and International-level babysitter now has a song in his name. Much like that of the superhero Spiderman, Pant can now boast about having one of the catchiest songs of the year 'composed' and sung in his name by the legendary Bharat Army. After the Border-Gavaskar trophy was given to the Men in Blue for their 2-1 Test series victory against Australia, the extremely dedicated group of global Indian cricket supporters who've named themselves 'The Bharay Army' came up with a highly innovative way of celebrating the win. #AUSvIND Scenes of @RishabPant777 dancing to our song; 'We've got Pant' ! . Here are the lyrics: "We've got Pant Rishabh Pant I just don't think you'll understand He'll hit you for a six He'll babysit your kids We've got Rishabh Pant" Adding to the legacy of 'The Babysitter', Pant's teammate Rohit Sharma who recently became a father brought in some more humour with this tweet: Morning buddy. Ritika will be quite happy ð@RishabPant777 https://t.co/JkGWTYpnBk — Rohit Sharma (@ImRo45) January 9, 2019 Sharma's observations about Pant's babysitting skills may not be incorrect as Tim Paine's wife, Bonnie Paine, who appointed our boy for the job as the 'Pacifier', sought his assistance once again. © Instagram - Bonnie Paine The Bharat Army has been extremely loyal towards the Indian Cricket Team and have continued to show their unshaken support ever since their inception in 1999. 14. If you have seen 'Jurassic World', then you will remember this scene, where a bunch of people are running to save their lives from dinosaurs. via GIPHY Now, imagine yourself at the NH7 Weekender, Pune and this was the exact situation when a certain song started playing. People were not running away to save their lives or ears. They were, in fact, running towards the stage where the song was playing. People screaming the lyrics and the whole stadium echoing with 'Hum Toh Udd Gaye', was mind-blowing, to say the least. You guessed it right! We're talking about the latest musical prodigy, Ritviz. The man who dared to break free from the shackles of conventional music and is now taking the world by storm, one song at a time. We caught up with this uber talented 22-year-old budding superstar, who bared it all exclusively on MensXP and spoke about his journey so far and his future plans. © Fleck Media At the age of 10, when most of us were busy stressing over homework, Ritviz was taking his first steps towards his musical dream, "I started making music when I was 10 and it's been a really long time for me, although I am only 22. It has been an unbelievable journey and I have everybody (around me) to thank here, whom I couldn't thank enough." Ritviz has given us tracks like 'Beatific', 'YUV' and 'Jeet', but 'Udd Gaye' happens to be one of the most successful songs. It was not one of the regular tracks, yet it managed to captivate the masses and how. Blending melancholic lyrics with a peppy soundtrack, was one trippy and tricky kind of music that we didn't know we needed in our lives, until it happened. © Fleck Media "If you just listen to the A cappella, it's very sad and you can hear the sadness in the melody. But, the instrumental is very uplifting. So when we put them together, it formed a very weird combination, which I won't call something very happy. It's a nice mix that brings a different feel and I think that's what is catching people's attention," he says. Ritviz further adds, "All I do is wait for a melody to hit me and take the lead." In case you missed out on the song, here is the masterpiece everyone is talking about. This is Ritviz's third weekender and definitely one that is closest to his heart since it was in Pune, "With Pune being my hometown and my folks being here, this has by default become one of the best shows I have ever played. It was unbelievable and mind blowing and way too big. In 2015, I started doing shows. There were a few festivals where there were 3:30 or 4:30 slots, last year it was a 6:30 slot and this year I am headlining, so it's unbelievable and I hope this stays consistent." EDM has a lot of scope in India and Ritviz too thinks on similar lines, "At one point I think people just started rebelling and were like 'Oh no, this is not something that I want to follow, because the West is so much more exciting'. My whole idea was that if I want to reclaim this in a way where I feel that the classical music, our Indian roots and everything is intact, that's where it all starts." He adds, "We can be inspired by the West, but can also create our own identity and I feel people should focus on that more. That's how you can find your own way. That will make you feel that 'Yeah this is my song'. I feel like people are scared to experiment." © Fleck Media So where exactly does Ritviz derive his unusual musical influences from? "In my initial years, I used to wake up to my mom singing bandhish and stuff, those were my early influences. Then, came the VH1 era and my teen years were spent listening to pop music. But, post 2011-12, when I started producing music, electronic music was what really drew me closer to production and that's when I created 'Mukti' and 'Beatific' and started my entire journey. First, it was classical music, then VH1 top 40 and then BOOM Ritviz music (laughs)." The moment we hear EDM, Nucleya aka Udyan Sagar comes to our minds. For those who don't know, Ritviz was mentored by Nucleya and despite being a competition, he gets major inspiration from him, "He is an inspiration, he is the reason why I am here today. He's opened doors for so many people and I love that man so much." © Fleck Media Ritviz credits his success to his parents, "They are the reason why I am here. I brought them on stage today, that has been my dream for the longest time and I am happy that it came true today. Without their support, I don't think i would have been able to do anything that I am doing today because you need to let the child explore. They let me do what I wanted to and I am very grateful to them and I hope that I continue to make them proud." He has a lot of interesting stuff in the pipeline for his fans, "One that is confirmed and which I can talk about is the one with Divine that's come up recently. It's the title track of album 'Ved'. The song has a nice hook to it. Last year i was trying to figure out the vocals on top of this and I was humming and I came about saying 'Ritveda' and its also a word play around rigveda. Then we thought about getting someone on board and that's how we ended up hitting it off with Divine." © Fleck Media In every group, there is this one friend who knows you and your talents. That friend will make you do what you're good at and then boast about your talent in front of others. For Ritviz, Sahith Sethuraman and the Bacardi House Party Sessions was that friend. Bacardi House Party Sessions is a platform that gives budding artists an opportunity to showcase their talent. Apart from Ritviz, they also have artists like GURBAXX, MOJOJOJO, BABU HAABI, and MALFNKTION under their umbrella. Sahith who is the Senior Manager, Rum Brands, India & South East Asia, said "Bacardi has always had a very close association with music. We're not here to make money out of music or artists. What these guys create is pure brilliance." © Fleck Media "When we look at aspiring musicians, we realise that there is a wealth of talent in India and there are very few avenues for them to go out and explore themselves. We genuinely encourage the artists and allow them to have a platform to showcase what moves them, the talent that they have within them and the happiness that they can bring to people's faces. That's what Bacardi house party sessions sets out to do," he further added. Sahith discovered Ritviz's talents after listening to 'Mukti', "I listened to it the first time and within the first 10 seconds I realised that there is gold in this boy. This boy oozes talent. His journey started 4 years ago with his first single 'Beatific', we came along and we helped him along in this journey. He would have got there anyway, we're just trying to make this journey faster and little bit smoother for him." © Fleck Media Sahith, like a proud father, further added, "Being there on stage and watching him drop 'Udd Gaye' last year and this year, and hearing the crowd sing along gives you goosebumps, especially knowing that you had a little role to play in that journey." While most of us have incomplete assignments saved in our laptops, this guy has as many as 700 semi-finished tracks saved on his system (enough to blow our minds away). So what's left right now, is to just sit back and watch this guy wave his magic wand over his fans as we go back to humming 'Hum To Udd Gaye' at the top of our voices.

  16. By now, I'm not even surprised that the internet can make a meme out of anything, and I mean anything. There are so many things online that you know are destined to make people laugh after becoming a hilarious meme, but people have now started finding jokes in the most unexpected places as well. For example, take this song – The original song 'Sochta Hoon Ke' is already a popular Sufi track by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and it was recently reworked for the movie 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The new version is now called 'Dekhte Dekhte' and is sung by Atif Aslam, with the video featuring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. If you have listened to the song, you would know it's not your typical meme material, but don't worry, the people on the internet are very resourceful when it comes to jokes. This is the last thing you would expect to become a meme, but here we are, this is exactly why I love the internet! People took the line 'sochta hu ke vo kitne masoom the, kya se kya ho gaye dekhte dekhte' from the song and ran with it. Here are some of the funniest results. How time flies. 17. Most tales that have to do with India and Pakistan are usually related to conflict. But, in a rare moment captured in Russia, the soldiers from the two warring nations were spotted dancing together on Punjabi and Bollywood songs. The soldiers of India and Pakistan were attending 'Bharatiya Divas', an event organised by the Indian Army and members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), in Russia. Reportedly, the soldiers of both the countries were attending a summit to participate in Peaceful Mission 2018. It is a mock anti-terror exercise that was held at Chebarkul from August 22 to 29. 18. On August 16, 2018, India lost one of its most precious gems, Atal Bihari Vajpayee who passed away in Delhi's AIIMS at the age of 93. Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who served as the nation's leader thrice, was one of the prominent political names that most of us grew up listening to and a leader, who was highly loved and respected by the masses. Reuters As the nation mourns the loss of this legendary leader and an extraordinary poet, we also realise how deep an imprint his personality left on people's lives, and how dearly he was loved and admired by those around him. From Shah Rukh Khan, PM Narendra Modi to Amitabh Bachchan, everyone recollected the fond memories they shared with Vajpayee and how his demise has left them in a state of shock. Twitter In the loving memory of the great leader and visionary, legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar dedicated her previously unreleased song to him. In a soulful tribute, Lata Mangeshkar dedicated the song 'Than Gayi Maut Se Than Gayi', with Vajpayee's poem as lyrics. Reportedly, Mangeshkar said in a statement "In understanding the lives of great men, I found that their victory was over themselves. The one person who reflected this was Atalji."
