Things are going to change

Things are going to change

This year you must stay, you deserve it.

When you think things go wrong

When you think things go wrong

There is always someone who will give you a hand.

Where are you going tonight?

Where are you going tonight?

Some day we'll go back there, our secret place.

Do you remember those moments?

Do you remember those moments?

This is going to get sweet!

I really feel younger.

I really feel younger.

Maybe I'll give it a little taste.

Oh pretty mama, you're the best!

Oh pretty mama, you're the best!

I do not think I'll ever forget it, thanks.

  1. OnePlus has been killing it in the smartphone segment for the past few years and the company will now expand their business model to TVs. OnePlus founder and CEO Pete Lau announced that the company is now working towards launching a Smart TV as early as next year and it will be called 'OnePlus TV'. © OnePlus In a press release, Lau said “As other consumer electronics have evolved and improved our lives, televisions have remained conventional and cumbersome. We bring inherent advantages to the industry, and with this new division, we're excited to explore the total connected user experience that can enhance everyday life.” Lau added “For most of us, there are four major environments we experience each day: the home, the workplace, the commute, and being on-the-move. The home - perhaps the most important environment experience - is just starting to enjoy the benefits of intelligent connectivity. Something that seems as simple as displaying the photos from your mobile phone to a television is still difficult to achieve. With the development of AI technology, our imagination is endless – and we are looking forward to the future.” © YouTube As of now, no details about the specs were made public however it is safe to assume that the 'OnePlus TV' will offer 4K/HDR resolution while keeping competition in mind. Affordable 4K smart TVs have suddenly become a huge market for manufacturers in India thanks to companies like Xiaomi, Thomson and others offering products at competitive prices. © YouTube OnePlus will also be looking to integrate their smartphones with the television in order to provide customers with a working ecosystem. The OnePlus TV is also touted to have an AI assistant however it has not been made clear whether it will feature Google Assistant or some other platform. OnePlus has been known to adopt a user-centric ethos that could be translated into the television division as well. We could expect the same premium offering at an affordable price from the company as we have come to expect from their smartphones. *main image for representation purposes only.
  2. Over the years, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has established himself as one of the most popular sportspersons in India. His leadership skills allowed India to scale new heights in international cricket, while his explosive batting saw him being labelled as one of the best finishers in limited-overs cricket. But, times have changed. Today, Dhoni is no longer the captain of the Indian cricket team. He called time on his Test career and his finishing abilities with the willow are not as convincing as they used to be. More importantly, his age is also catching up on him. But, despite all those things, when it comes to the glovework behind the stumps, no one can possibly argue that this tireless workhorse is still the best in business. Not really your typical wicket-keeper, Dhoni has carved his own niche with a unique, unorthodox style of keeping the stumps. With street-smart skills taking over technique, the Jharkhand cricketer has pulled off some of the most insane dismissals on the cricket field. From his lightning-quick stumpings to the famous 'no-look run-out', Dhoni has set new standards for the wicket-keepers around the globe. Watch the Mahi magic on loop #INDvNZ https://t.co/btMoJF0xC3 — BCCI (@BCCI) 26 October 2016 Thus, there was no surprise to see young Ishan Kishan emulating Dhoni on Day 1 of the Duleep Trophy final. During the summit clash between India Red and India Blue, Kishan opted for his state-mate's technique of throwing the ball onto the stumps without looking. The 20-year-old successfully collected the throw and then rolled the ball back onto the stumps to dislodge the bails. Though he did everything right (something that would have made MSD proud), but by the time the bails were dislodged, the batsman had made his ground. The video of Kishan's exploits was shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Twitter, where cricket fans expressed their own views on the youngster. While some praised his effort, others reminded him that there's only one MSD. He tried like @msdhoni but he didn't do like @msdhoni — Vignesh Kannan (@vignesh14091995) 4 September 2018 Dhoni dhoni hai paji @msdhoni ðð — Pratik Bagul (@psbagul) 5 September 2018 Dhoni is best — Paras Karma (@ParasKarma) 6 September 2018 @msdhoni is @msdhoni , no one can change the reality that he is a living legend. 3. There are celebrity doppelgangers, twins, body-doubles and then there are mistaken identities where people confuse you for a celebrity even though you don't look like them. And no one can understand the pain better than this college student, who found himself in a similar situation when the university confused him for Amitabh Bachchan. Reportedly, Amit Dwivedi who is a B.Ed student of Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya in Gonda, was allegedly issued an admit card with the picture of Amitabh Bachchan on it, by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Uttar Pradesh. Twitter Amit said, "I had filled up the form with my picture. I am worried that my mark sheet might be issued with Amitabh Bachchan's picture in it." According to the college authorities, this error might have been made by the student or the internet cafe where he might have filled the form. Further, the authorities have ensured that they will make efforts to issue the correct marksheet to the student. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University has allegedly issued admit card with Amitabh Bachchan's pic to a B.Ed student of Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya in Gonda. It is possible that he or the internet cafe from where he filled up the form committed the error. There is also a possibility that University might have erred." He further added, "He is taking his exams. We have informed the principal of the exam centre and will take efforts so that the correct mark sheet is issued to the student." Source: News18
  4. If you actively use YouTube or have been following the news lately, you're sure to have heard of PewDiePie, the highly controversial YouTube Channel, that has more than 65 million subscribers, making it the largest Channel on the video platform. It is run by Felix Kjellberg and has held the mantle for the last five years. But he may soon lose this prestigious title, thanks to Indian music label T-Series. PewDiePie posted a video on his channel recently, stating that his reign inevitably will come to an end, and according to his estimates, it'll happen sometime in November. © Social Blade T-Series, India's largest music label, and movie studio has nearly 60 million subscribers as now. It is known for its huge Bollywood collection featuring A-list artists. According to Social Blade, T-Series is growing at a rate of about 141,000 subscribers per day. On the other hand, PewDiePie is getting 29,000 subscribers per day. In terms of total views also, T-Series is leading by a huge margin. The Indian channel has received a total viewership of 46 billion, while PewDiePie has just 18 billion. The Indian Channel has a consistent growth rate thanks to two reasons: Our Lord Pewdiepie is under attack, his regime is being questioned. Are we just going to sit back and let him be taken over? NO! We will fight, I'm calling all the kids of the internet, let's save Pewdiepie before it's too late. pic.twitter.com/0joBoNrhPI — MrBeast (@MrBeastYT) August 29, 2018 Firstly, India has a population of 1.3 billion, while PewDiePie's majority audience is American, and the population is just 580 million. Secondly, T-Series has skyrocketed on the back of India's growing Internet penetration. Since 2016, more and more Indians have now connected thanks to the 4G revolution and dirt-cheap data prices. © YouTube The most important factor for PewDiePie's slow growth rate is PewDiePie himself. The creator has been neck deep in controversies that have seen a major backlash from his user base as well as the general YouTube audience. Issues began after Disney ended its relationship with Felix over antisemitic jokes in early 2017. Last year the video platform came under extreme pressure when another YouTuber Logan Paul posted a video apparently making fun of a suicide. The audience is tired of seeing creators like these setting a benchmark for the industry. Also, we must keep in mind that PewDiePie is single-handedly run by Felix while T-Series is an established company with hundreds of artists. The production house has been consistently posting videos ranging from music videos, lyric videos, interview, mash-ups, and a lot more. It also has rights to a multitude of Bollywood movies. The only thing Felix can do now is, urge people to hit the subscribe button hard. T-Series will continue to storm the video platform with its near unlimited supply of content. It's becoming pretty clear that PewDiePie's five-year YouTube rule is coming to an end.
  5. Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru have reached their breaking point as far as traffic is concerned. The three are prime examples of the huge inflow of people in search of opportunities because development has been concentrated in these parts of the nation only. This vacuum has left the cities with tens of millions of people, and no space to actually house them in a comfortable way. To counter this very issue, Uber is envisioning UberAir, its concept for urban air mobility. The company today announced the concept at the Uber Elevate Expo being held in Tokyo. It aims to launch demonstration flights in several cities in 2020 and a paid flying taxi operation by 2023. While Uber launched its Elevate programme in 2016, last year the ride-sharing company announced its intention to launch flight demonstrations of UberAir in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Now, the company has released the first example of future routes for Uber Air flights for Delhi, Tokyo, Mumbai, Seoul, Sydney, and Taipei. The company suggests it can save up to 2 hours every day for commuters via the ambitious project. Uber will meet the country's policymakers in the coming weeks and is keen on implementing the project. © Uber By offering what it calls urban aerial ridesharing, cities across the globe over a five-year period will be able to ease out road congestion as a result of the growing population. The company is working with multiple partners to help build the aircraft with a range of 5-100kms. The aircraft is expected to maintain an altitude of 1,000-2,000 feet and should be able to do more than 100kms on a single charge. Uber is currently working with partners such as Embraer and Boeing-owned Aurora Flight Sciences to develop vehicles, and the company unveiled its first design in May. © Uber “Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru are some of the most congested cities in the world, where travelling even a few kilometres can take over an hour. Uber Air offers tremendous potential to help create a transportation option that goes over congestion, instead of adding to it,” the company said. Bengaluru already has a heli-taxi service operational by the government from Electronic City to Bengaluru Airport.
  6. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is about to launch in India on August 8th, and we've been playing with the phone for over a week to give you our first impressions. The Android One device is the successor to last year's Mi A1 and was probably one of our favourite budget phones last year. The Mi A2 has a refreshed design when compared to its predecessor and has some key changes. The first thing you will notice is that the headphone jack is missing and there isn't a microSD slot either. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Mi A2 has also swapped the micro-USB port for the Type-C charging port, also it has a new 18:9 aspect ratio display and is larger in size thanks to thinner bezels. Here's what we think about the phone. How Does It Look & Feel? M1uch like other Xiaomi phones, the Mi A2 has a unibody design that has a premium finish and feels more ergonomic than its predecessor. The smartphone is only a gram heavier than the Mi A1 and the missing headphone jack is a huge disappointment. At the back, you will first notice the vertical iPhone X style dual camera setup as it protrudes from the body. The smartphone comes with a case which can be used to protect the camera and the body of the phone. The new 18:9 aspect ratio display looks good and it has a full HD+ resolution, which is good enough to consume videos and digital media. The screen size has been increased from its predecessor as it has a 5.99-inch display. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Xiaomi has also ditched the headphone jack, which means the phone now comes with a Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter. You will probably have to guard this adapter with your life if you are fond of using wired headphones. Other Specifications The Xiaomi Mi A2 has the Qualcomm 660 processor under the hood and so far, it has performed without any glitches or bugs. We will continue to strain the phone with some heavy duty gaming and use other apps that require more processor power for our final verdict. The Mi A2 will launch in India in only one variant, with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. As of now, we are not sure whether Xiaomi will launch other variants with more storage options. Since there is no microSD slot, you will probably need to be careful with what you store on your phone. The Mi A2 supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 4.0 and has a battery size of 3010 mAh. Even though the phone supports fast charging, the phone comes with a 5v/2A charger which does not support QC 4.0 As of now, you cannot buy a QC4 charger from Xiaomi, which suggests the new charger may sell at a later stage. Camera Performance © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The Mi A2 has a 12MP+20MO camera that has a larger pixel size and an impressive aperture of f/1.75 on both sensors. This results in better low light photography and clearer bokeh shots. The primary and front-facing camera sensor is a Sony IMX376, which is probably the best sensor the company could use for a mid-budget smartphone. In our preliminary tests, the camera has been performing well and here's just a sample of a picture we clicked recently. The #MiA2 is doing a very good job when it comes to Portrait Mode. pic.twitter.com/ZO8CufEPr2 — Akshay Bhalla (@Bhallanator) July 25, 2018 For a more detailed opinion of the Mi A2 camera, wait for the official review that will be published sometime soon. Closing Thoughts As of now, the Xiaomi Mi A2 looks like a spectacular phone that works well and has a great performing camera. Having said that, some changes, like the removal of the headphone jack and no microSD slot, is a bit disappointing. The ultimate question remains, what is the price of the phone? We will find that out on August 8th and give our final thoughts on the phone.
  7. No dream is too big to fulfill, if you set your heart to it, just like no hurdle or obstacle is strong enough to break your determination and stop you from achieving your goal. Asharam Choudhary's inspiring story is possibly the greatest example of this statement. 20-year-old Asharam is a resident of Vijayganj Mandi in Madhya Pradesh. His father, Ranjit Choudhary is a ragpicker who earns less than Rs. 50 a day by collecting discarded plastic bottles and iron pieces near the railway crossings. © Twitter Wondering why the name Asharam is so important right now? Because he has done something that no one in his family could ever imagine, even in their wildest dreams. With his hard work and sheer dedication, Asharam has cleared the AIIMS entrance exam for MBBS and is now headed towards his dream of becoming a doctor. According to a report in The Hindu, Asharam secured 707th all-India rank and 141st rank in the OBC category. In fact, he also cleared the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test and got 2763 all-India rank and 803rd rank in OBC category. © Twitter ANI Asharam said that an incident with a 'jhola chaap' doctor helped him realize his dream. He said, “I decided to become a doctor by chance. When I was studying in Class V, my father took me to a 'jhola chaap' doctor. I saw him prescribing a few medicines and earning Rs. 50 in few minutes. The incident left a deep impression on me. I compared his work with the labour of my father, who collected discarded plastic bottles, iron pieces, especially near the railway crossings, and earned less than Rs. 50 in an entire day.” © Twitter ANI Asharam's family is financially weak and he credits his parents and Navodaya Vidyalaya for this achievement. He says, “There are some gaps in the roof from where sun rays and rain water easily seeps into our house. The adversities have never deterred me from continuing my studies. This was my first attempt (in AIIMS entrance test) and my teachers at Navodaya Vidyalaya, especially Amit sir (his Biology teacher), guided me in clearing the exam.” He also credited Dakshana Foundation in Pune, who extended their full support to him. The foundation is a coaching centre which trains students from financially weak families from rural India for engineering and medical entrance tests. Although, Asharam has inched closer to his dream of becoming a doctor, his father is worried about their financial condition. He said, “He has got admission in AIIMS but we don't have money to support him. Let's see what we can do. As of now, a doctor and the Collector have helped us.” Asharam got selected at the Jodhpur AIIMS, where he'll be pursuing MBBS. He wants to become a doctor to help the people in his village. 8. I'm pretty sure if given an opportunity, no one in this world would ever pass up the chance to go to space, no one. But, space exploration is not that much of a reality yet, and it just reminds me of this one Tumblr post. Very relatable, of course. But, space travel might be possible soon, and when I say soon, I mean in just a couple of years. And, of course, the world's richest man will probably make it happen. Reportedly, Jeff Bezos' rocket company Blue Origin, plans to start charging interested passengers for its first trips into space next year and the price will be about $200,000 to $300,000, or Rs. 1.36 crore to 2.05 crore. So cheap, right? That's such a bargain, I'm so impressed by Jeff. Reuters Okay, all jokes aside, space travel is such a cool thing, so obviously you'll have to pay a lot, A LOT, for it. People who were waiting for the cost of a ticket – and who can actually afford it – on Blue Origin's New Shepard space vehicle finally have some answers through two anonymous sources, who are employees of Blue Origin. Last month, executives of the company shared at a business conference that they are planning test flights with passengers on the New Shepard soon, and then will start selling the tickets next year. Reuters According to Reuters, the New Shepard is “designed to autonomously fly six passengers more than 62 miles (100 km) above Earth into suborbital space, high enough to experience a few minutes of weightlessness and see the curvature of the planet before the pressurized capsule returns to earth under parachutes.” Reuters Apparently, Blue Origin has already completed eight test flights on New Shepard of the vertical take-off and landing, but none of them had any passengers aboard. But, two of the tests did have a test dummy named “Mannequin Skywalker.” Tbh, I prefer the name, Starman. The only thing left to see now, is who will win the race for space travel – Elon Musk, Richard Branson or Jeff Bezos. Source – Reuters
  9. There have been rumours earlier, which suggested that a 10.5-inch iPad Pro with Face ID was expected to launch later this year. However, a new report suggests that now there will be two new models instead of one. The report comes from renowned and trusted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has shared some details about Apple's plans for 2018. © BCCL He suggests that Apple is planning to launch the new iPads that will follow a similar design to the iPhone X, and will also not have a home button or touch ID. The iPad Pro is also expected to have Apple's latest processor and augmented reality features. Apple is expected to launch the iPads this fall, along with a range of other devices that include new laptops and of course, the iPhone. Apple may also launch the two iPads at another event later this year however that can only be confirmed after Apple's keynote in September. Apple is also looking to announce new AirPods which follow the same design as the current models. However, a Bloomberg reports suggest the new AirPods will have a new chip, that will let users access Siri via the 'Hey Siri' voice command. © YouTube Regardless of what Apple has planned for the near future, we are looking forward to seeing if the new iPads, their design and Face ID would function on the two tablets. We will keep you updated as soon as we have more details about the tablets.
  10. Our recent release of Invision Community 4.2 was the most well-received version ever! Your members can of course override this to their own preference. Embed Failure Message To answer the constant question "why didn't my media embed?" we now show you why. Regular members will just see a message indicating the Suite tried to embed but was not able to. Admins will get more information on what failed. The member can click to get the full information from the Warning System as well. Contact Us The contact us page now has configuration options to control where messages are sent. You can do email and even Commerce support departments now. Announcements Global announcements can now be restricted by member group. And some technical stuff... In addition to the new feature additions we have also fixed dozens of issues reported by clients. There was a particular focus on Commerce, Pages, and IPS Connect. Some other items of note: Performance improvements in: profile view, sitemap generator, posting replies, and Activity Streams We now try to more reliably detect the AWS S3 endpoint for those using S3 file storage Tasks view will now show the last time a task ran More efficient license key checking to keep the keys from being checked too often which can slow your site down If group promotion based on date is enable the system will now auto-promote even if a member does not login If you move your site to a new URL you no longer have to update a constant if using the image proxy You can now press ctrl/cmd+enter in any editor window to submit the reply (yay!) In Commerce ticket view there are keyboard shortcuts to perform common actions (such as press 'r' to open reply box or 'n' for note) There is now logic to prevent double-posting when the initial post encounters an error on submit If your datastore (cache system) is not working properly the AdminCP will now show you a warning telling you that it needs attention.
