  1. Have you ever been on Twitter and accidentally liked a tweet while scrolling? Yep, almost every single person has done that, it just happens sometimes. But nope, if a celebrity makes that mistake - that too with the most stupid tweet ever - they have to be crucified. People aren't allowed to make a mistake now, especially when you're in the public eye. That's why as soon as someone spotted Karan Johar liking a tweet on the social media website which was praising Akshay Kumar and his new movie 'Kesari', while also simultaneously abusing Shah Rukh Khan, the hashtag #ShameOnKaranJohar starting making the rounds. ' @iamsrk it's high time you should know that you have been keeping Snake on your Neck. This ungrateful @karanjohar can stoop low for money and fame. If he doesn't apologize publicly, we will trend day and night against him and fill his mention with abuses.#ShameOnKaranJohar pic.twitter.com/mSlJ0OKyvm — BRK. (@iamsrk_brk) March 22, 2019 I can't help but laugh at this, this is so extra. SRK @iamsrk Almost Took A Bullet From Underworld Don Abu Salem For @karanjohar in 1998. HE Said : "I'm standing here in front of you, lets see who shoots you , I'm standing right here"#ShameOnKaranJohar for liking abusive tweets against SRK. https://t.co/ieBocIcYLQ — RahuL Choudhury (@Rahul_SRKians) March 22, 2019 Then KJo of course came out to apologise for the technical problems. Guys having a technical problem with my twitter account! Strange things are going on!from uploading shoe picture and gibberish to liking tweets I haven't even read and would NEVER even acknowledge! Please bear with me and I apologise for any inconvenience! Sorting it out asap! — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) March 22, 2019 Good tweet, KJo. Aaj twitter pe thodi gadbad ho gayi but baaki sab #firstclass hai. ð — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) March 22, 2019 But, the best tweet came from the man himself. SRK hates 'SM clarifications' but had to defend his bestie so his fans could stop abusing Karan. And, I couldn't stop laughing when I read this tweet, it's the most SRK tweet ever, tbh. I hate clarifications on SM. @karanjohar is technologically challenged but has other good qualities like his taste in clothes!?Just like Life, twitter doesn't come with instructions, so mistakes r natural....& also he has fat fingers. Go easy all, Make Lov not War...it's more fun — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) March 22, 2019 Everything that can be said about King Khan and his famous wit has been said before but the fat fingers comment had me DED. The king of wits, indeed.
  2. India is a rich land of culture, multiple languages and even better food. Now, the government is trying its best to ensure that every sort of tourism and every cultural aspect of this melting pot of our rich history is glorified and promoted. So, as per the latest plan of schemes, the government wants to focus on the development and the promotion of the beautiful Urdu language in India, and to do this, it is tapping into the power of Bollywood with SRK, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif being considered to do the needful promotion. © Instagram The decision is being steered by the Ministry of Human Resource Development's autonomous body National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) but the people of the nation are divided over it. A lot of people are opposing this idea, trashing it and ridiculing the actors, claiming that having Salman and Katrina promote Urdu is like ensuring it dies a natural death. Katrina Kaif promoting Urdu! This has to be the biggest joke of 2019 https://t.co/xVLO9S2oFa — Iqbal Grewal (@IqbalGrewal1) March 18, 2019 Didn't know Katrina Kaif spoke Urdu,, let alone promote it... https://t.co/b1cwc4gfJd — shantanudutta (@shantanudutta) March 18, 2019 Now, the problem with trolling is that the target here are the actors who have not given a final word, made no announcement or even endorsed this idea on their own personal social media accounts. Sure, we are all entitled to have an opinion and this is a fair point that just by the virtue of being a Bollywood actor, it doesn't mean that they can actually promote a language, which they probably don't even speak themselves. However, trolling them to be the choice of a decision-making body is actually silly. While various memes and jokes are being generated on social media, there have been some sensible internet consumers who have tried to understand that a Katrina Kaif or a Salman Khan is not a problem , but maybe the people choosing them are making a weird decision, which is not suitable for Urdu lovers across the nation. © Instagram Some people have very respectfully suggested the name of Javed Akhtar and even Salim Khan (Salman's father) to be the endorsers and that makes perfect sense. So the next time one decides to troll, maybe it will be a good idea to think twice before doing it?
  3. Cricket is India's biggest religion and its religious followers, aka the Cricket fans, are now gearing up to welcome this year's biggest festival. Yes, we're talking about the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 which begins on March 23. Ahead of IPL, everyone is busy promoting their respective teams and so is the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. As KKR gears up to play their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 24, the team's proud owner Shah Rukh Khan has posted a promo on social media with the message "Aakhri Dum Tak Aakhri Run Tak". “You pray for us, we play for you” Let's be in it together, Aakhri Dum Tak Aakhri Run Tak. https://t.co/hDfglxXYMh#KKRHaiTaiyaar @kkriders — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) March 18, 2019 He wrote, "'You pray for us, we play for you' Let's be in it together, Aakhri Dum Tak Aakhri Run Tak." SRK's Kolkata Knight Riders is hands down one of the best playing teams in the IPL and this year too, people have high hopes from the team. KKR is being coached by Proteas legend Jacques Kallis and is led by Dinesh Kartik who recently unveiled KKR's new jersey. We're sure all the KKR fans are praying hard for their team to win this year, now all we have to see is whether SRK's team manages to live up to the expectations of fans.
  4. Coldplay's Chris Martin not only brought the whole house down with his rocking performance at Akash & Shloka's pre-wedding bash, but he also spent most of his time chilling out with Bollywood celebrities in Switzerland and thanks to Gauri Khan, we got a glimpse of the same. Gauri recently posted a picture on her social media, where she is seen posing with Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Chris Martin, and Natasha Poonawala. She wrote the caption, "A huddle with Chris Martin." View this post on Instagram Sparkling in @falgunishanepeacockindia .. ððð A post shared by Gauri Khan (@gaurikhan) on Mar 10, 2019 at 12:04am PST While people are talking about how great everyone, especially Bollywood's King Khan is looking in the picture; we can't help but look past the outfits of the ladies. Why does it look like Alia, Gauri and Natasha are wearing 'aluminium foil' coats? I am sure desi moms need answers to this style statement. The celebrities may be living their fan moment with Chris Martin, but he seems to be in awe of Shah Rukh Khan and recently even gave a shout out to the actor and wrote, "Shah Rukh Khan forever."
  5. 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' was the movie that gave us a bashful but talented actor R Madhavan, and he is all set to start his directorial debut, finally. After a successful stint in Bollywood with films like 'Tanu Weds Manu' and '3 Idiots', the Tamil movie actor has decided to venture in to direction and will be churning out a multi-lingual film soon, in which he'll be acting too. © Pinterest 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', which will be based on the life story of Nambi Narayan, the space scientist and aerospace engineer will be Madhavan's directorial debut film and we're really looking forward to knowing how good the actor is with his directing skills. But that's not all. We hear that Bollywood's Baadshah- Shah Rukh Khan is playing a cameo in the hind version of the film, while the Tamil star Suriya will be playing a cameo in the Tamil version of the film. © Pinterest Though we aren't sure of the rest of the cast just yet, all we know is Madhavan has roped in SRK to have a small surprise stint in the film, which will probably give it the edge it needs. And apart from that, he himself is donning the role of the scientist Nambi Narayan. So far, the look that Madhavan's working on, for the film, bears an uncanny resemblance to the Indian scientist and we can't wait to watch how he portrays him in the film, as well. © Instagram I was advised to use this during the promotion of Rocketry or get a brand onboard to monetize it but I couldn't.. cause I owe it to all you lovely people who are worried as I was..BELIEVE —getting fitter is all in the mind.BELIEVE #Rmadhavan #actormaddy #rocketeyfilm #Nambinarayanan #Tricolourfilms #Vijaymoolan #Dramatictransformations #Believeyoucan #14daychallange A post shared by R. 6. DJ Marshmello has a big fan following across the world and even enjoys a stellar fan base here in India. The man, known for the gigantic face that he puts over his head, was recently in news when he announced a collaboration with Indian composer Pritam and singer Shirley Setia for a song called 'Biba'.When the song finally dropped, it instantly became a hit and soon all his fans started asking for a video as well. The video finally released two days ago and boy, it's probably one of the best tributes to none other than the King Khan himself! Who knew that Marshmello was a fan? SRK makes a brief appearance in the end and shakes a leg with the DJ himself. We see a hybrid version of SRK & Marshmello dancing on different Shah Rukh songs through the video. ð¤ @iamsrk pic.twitter.com/ayCctGaHvp — marshmello (@marshmellomusic) February 15, 2019 His Indian fans are of course loving the video! 7. Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are two of the most coveted superstars in the Indian film industry and while we'd love to see them work together on a project, seems like it is not possible, at least according to the King Khan himself. View this post on Instagram Launda na samajhna, beta baap hain tumhare! #1WeekToZero @anushkasharma @KatrinaKaif @aanandlrai @mohdzeeshanayyub #tigmanshudhulia @RedChilliesEnt @cypplOfficial A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Dec 14, 2018 at 2:35am PST Recently during an interview, SRK was asked about his future plans and one of the questions was about him working with Khiladi Kumar. Now he'd love to work with him but his reason for not being able to do so is kind of very hilarious. “What do I say to this? I don't wake up as early as him. I go to sleep when Akshay is waking up. His day starts early. By the time I start working, he is packing up and going home. So he can put in more hours of work. I'm a nocturnal person. Not many people are fond of shooting at night like me. It will be fun to act with Akshay. Dono set pe hi nahin milenge. Woh jaa raha hoga aur main aa raha hounga (He'll be leaving the set and I'll be coming in). I would like to work like Akshay and with him, but our timings won't match.” View this post on Instagram ð A post shared by Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) on Jan 14, 2019 at 10:57pm PST Besides being a funny reason, it is also a very logical, and a relatable one for all of us struggling to make it to work on time every day. Now if you think about it, the duo was last seen together on the screen when they worked in 'Dil Toh Pagal Hai 'in 1997. We'd love to see the two men come together for a movie, but seems like the genres and the timings they both choose are poles apart. SRK was last seen in Anand L Rai's 'Zero' which didn't perform well at the box office and Akshay was seen with Rajinikanth in '2.0' and is now working on 'Sooryavanshi' with Rohit Shetty.
  8. Shah Rukh Khan has charmed his audience as the perfect prince charming for the longest time. He was once the biggest heart-throb in the Hindi film industry, and women still crush on the man even after all this time, and regardless of the fact that SRK hasn't delivered a blockbuster in a long time. However, with the news that the actor might be playing the lead in the Rakesh Sharma biopic 'Saare Jahan Se Achha', a lot of people came to pin their hopes on the film to bring back the SRK of the glorious days of 'Swades'. However, rumours are rife that SRK might have pulled out of the film to star in the third instalment of Farhan Akhtar's directorial series 'Don 3'. © Yash raj Films Even though no official announcement has been made either confirming or denying the speculations, reports suggest that King Khan made the switch owing to the box office disaster of his experimental project 'Zero'. Shah Rukh's latest movie terribly bombed at the theatres and failed to impress his fans and critics alike, who simply wrote the film off. This is said to have made the SRK more cautious about his future projects and apparently, after all these years of taking risks, he has been reconsidering playing unconventional roles of late. © Red Chillies Entertainment So when asked about his biggest fear, SRK came clear with his concern. He told Deccan Chronicle that, “I hope the day never comes when I am so tired that I tell myself that it is ok to do just a regular film which will get made in 40 days, release soon, become a box office hit and I can buy myself a new car and be happy. That thought scares me.” Well, this statement which clearly spells out that SRK is afraid of getting so demotivated about work or even life in general, that he ends up settling for less or mundane stuff just for the heck of it, sounds like a thought a lot of us have had at some point. © YRF Come to think about it, be it school, college or even work, there must have been a number of such moments in our lives when we were going through a real low or facing a major setback/disappointment which could be termed as our personal 'Zero' moments of life. And isn't it so easy to settle for less and just try to keep going with safe options because “well, at least I didn't stop” or “this a fool-proof formula, even though I have tried it a 100 other times”? © Red Chillies Entertainment We know, we have all been there and done that at some point in time, but it's good to know that a big star like SRK is also acknowledging to facing such situations in his life, and resolving to come out of it fighting. Instead of taking the easy way out. There's a lesson for us right there. Getting comfortable with our situation is easy, and easier still when you want to avoid failure. But that would only leave us feeling discontented and unhappy. So let's take those risks regardless of whether we make it or lose.
  9. After being on board to be a part of the Rakesh Sharma biopic 'Saare Jahaan Se Acha' for the longest time, Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly quit the movie. It's rumoured that King Khan has chosen to continue playing Don in 'Don 3' instead of the biopic, but nothing is apparently confirmed since Aamir Khan also recently said, “Isn't Shah Rukh Khan doing that film? Those are only reports, let's wait until he makes an announcement about it.” View this post on Instagram Hug from the Thug....!! Beat that! A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Oct 31, 2018 at 8:35pm PDT So, no one knows what's exactly going on. But, now it seems like Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, and even Kartik Aaryan are in the running for the role, according to Bollywood Life. All three actors have obviously proven themselves as brilliant actors and it's no surprise that they could be replacing someone like Shah Rukh Khan. Moreover, on top of this, the recent success of movies by younger and relatively newer actors in contrast with the failures of all the movies by the 'Khans' last year may indicate that the era of the Khans ruling the box office may be over. And, this could also be the reason why after SRK, actors like Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao will take up the role he was supposed to portray. But, there's also some bad news for Kartik Aaryan; according to a source, as reported by Bollywood Life, “Kartik is not really considered. The character demands a performer who can pull it off very well. Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao both have what it takes to play this character.” Sorry, Kartik. But, whoever ends up doing the movie - Vicky or Rajkummar - we all know it's going to be great.
  10. The fact that Shah Rukh Khan continues to be the Baadshah of Bollywood to this day, even though it has been a few years since we last saw the best of him on-screen, comes as no surprise to most of us. Over the years, SRK has created a name for himself and a space in our hearts, which is rather difficult to do away with, all courtesy to his great performances. While we have often heard and witnessed crazy fan stories and a gazillion tales of SRK's admirers pulling out fun antics to get the actor's attention, nothing quite beats what Senior Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor witnessed during his recent visit to the hill station of Munnar in Kerala. © Red Chillies Entertainment It so happened that when the politician checked into his hotel room, he was surprised to find out that it looked much more like a “shrine” devoted to SRK and 'Chennai Express' than an upscale hotel room. By his own admission, the room came covered with Shah Rukh's posters and cut-outs all over. Apparently, when SRK was shooting for 'Chennai Express', he stayed in the said room, which was later converted into a shrine. Being surrounded by many reminders of the actor, Tharoor took to Twitter to talk about his experience. He even tagged SRK on the post and shared some pictures of the room, which definitely works as too good of a reminder of Shah Rukh and his hit film 'Chennai Express'. Check out the post and images here: Dear @iamsrk, when on a brief visit to Munnar yesterday I took rest in the room you occupied in 2013, which has been converted into a shrine for you & #ChennaiExpress! Every wall is decorated w/posters of the film &the suite is dominated by this cut-out of you. No place for rest! pic.twitter.com/hFUYCgXLEc — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) January 21, 2019 Frankly, we aren't very shocked to see the staff of the hotel turning this room into a shrine, given the kind of devoted fan-following SRK enjoys to this day. Though SRK's latest film 'Zero' didn't perform too well at the box office, he has decided to move on and focus on other projects. As per recent reports, King Khan is all set to start shooting for the last instalment of Farhan Akhtar's Don series with 'Don: The Final Chapter', which will hit the floors in mid-2019.
  11. Shah Rukh Khan was recently roped in to feature in the astronaut Rakesh Sharma's biopic called 'Saare Jahan Se Accha' but now we hear he's opted out of that project, and we're slightly disappointed. But not that disappointed to learn that SRK might have chosen to take up 'Don 3' instead of the biopic. At least we'll see him in his best avatar this year! © Twitter Maybe it was 'Zero's' box office failure that made him decide to chose his roles wisely and hence, he chose a role that was more comfortable for him to play than the role he would have in 'Saare Jahan Se Accha'. SRK was to begin shooting for the biopic early next month, as it was lined up after 'Zero's' release but now we're not sure if that's going to happen at all. According to a popular publication, the actor opted out of the film to star in the third part of the franchise 'Don', which in all probability will hit the floors this year and we can't wait to see what goodness the third one holds for us. Director Mahesh Mathai's 'Saare Jahaan Se Accha' was going to be produced by Khan, along with Siddarth Roy Kapoor but now that seems highly unlikely. The best part though is that the lead role was initially offered to Aamir Khan but because he couldn't commit towards the venture, he recommended Shah Rukh for the role. © Twitter "I thank Aamir, who was to do the film for calling me and telling me about the role as it would suit me. I will try and spend time with Rakesh Sharma." SRK told a popular publication in an interview, when Aamir had recommended the role for him. © Instagram According to some Bollywood news sources, Priyanka Chopra will be playing the lead role in the movie as well, but there are no further speculations into that. We wonder if that's the reason SRK backed out of the movie venture in the first place? Well, that's something we'll never know! © Pinterest For now, let's just wait it out and see who takes up the lead role in 'Saare Jahaan Se Accha'. Although Farhan Akhtar did reveal that there's a 'big announcement' on its way and if it's not him tying the knot with girlfriend Shibani Dandekar, then it's definitely the release of Don 3, starring SRK, this year!
  12. Durga Singh's Karan and Arjun are back and showing the whole world how to spend a perfect Sunday - by watching their own movie 'Karan Arjun' together after 23 years. Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, Bollywood's Baadshah and Sultan, were chilling together and walking down the memory lane, when most of us were busy watching 'Sooryavansham' for the 1234567th time on TV. Honestly, I have seen Hira Thakur drink that damn poisoned 'kheer' so many times, it doesn't even bother me any more. Film Kraft Anyway, coming back to Bollywood's OG brothers, Salman posted this video on his social media today, where he is watching 'Karan Arjun' with SRK at a party. For all those who thought that things were not fine between SRK and Salman, watch this. They are not only working on movies together, they are even attending parties together. View this post on Instagram Karan + Arjun ... fond memories @iamsrk A post shared by Salman Khan (@beingsalmankhan) on Dec 30, 2018 at 2:00am PST Salman even captioned the video, "Karan + Arjun...fond memories @iamsrk." Earlier, Shah Rukh visited the 'Bigg Boss' house to promote his movie 'Zero'. Unless you were living under a rock all this time, Salman has done a cameo in 'Zero' and even shared the video of the song on social media, "Dost ke naam, dosti ke naam, isqh karne waalon ke naam, isqhbaazi ke naam! #IssaqbaaziOutNow @iamsrk." Dost ke naam, dosti ke naam, isqh karne waalon ke naam, isqhbaazi ke naam! #IssaqbaaziOutNow @iamsrk https://t.co/KpL6IInVEN — Salman Khan (@BeingSalmanKhan) December 4, 2018 Well like people say, "Yeh Bandhan To Pyaar Ka Bandhan Hai, Janmon Ka Sangam Hai." And we are sure even the fans are loving this bromance.
  13. SRK is not just the king of Bollywood but is also known for being a very doting and a super protective father to his kids, especially his beautiful daughter Suhana. View this post on Instagram Holidays as they say should really be given a speeding ticket...hate dropping my kids to the airport....when holidays end... A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Jan 8, 2018 at 1:08am PST When you are a superstar dad to famous kids, you need a special layer of protection for them and SRK is no different. In a recent interview, while promoting his latest movie 'Zero', SRK spoke about his thoughts on what happens if men, in general, behave like reel-life characters to woo Suhana. He was quick to respond and had his 'scary dad' advice ready. He said that if anyone tries to be like his character from his movies and uses the dialogue 'Rahul, naam toh suna hoga', its blatant stalking. "If a boy looks at you across a room at a party and says, 'aur paas, aur paas', go kick him in the shins. But in the film, if I'm able to activate an element of innocence and make it attractive, the role gets reinvented by itself." Now that's a firm warning for anyone trying to mess with Daddy king's daughter. SRK's latest outing 'Zero' received a lukewarm response from the audience but the critics have appreciated his character, Bauaa Singh.
  14. When the two Khans of Bollywood unite, the internet goes into a frenzy. An old video of the 'bhais' in arms having a karaoke session has gone viral. Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are jamming on the classic number 'pyar humein kis mode pe le aaya' . View this post on Instagram Epic stuff! This video of @beingsalmankhan and @iamsrk jamming together is sure to make your day. A post shared by Filmfare (@filmfare) on Dec 27, 2018 at 8:26pm PST The 'Karan-Arjun' of B-town had hit a rock bottom when their relationship got patchy a decade ago. They avoided attending parties and functions where they could meet eye to eye and fans were pretty sad with this bromance getting over. © Colors However, seems like the love is real and is not lost after all, because a few years ago, they buried their hatchet and got together. SRK even made an appearance on 'Bigg Boss' which was like making it official that the Khans were back together. Salman recently made an appearance in 'Zero' for a song. Well, all's well that ends well and now we want to call our 'bhai' for a jamming session of our own.
  15. The Badshah of B-town is no less than royalty for his fans and admirers, who treat Shah Rukh Khan like the king that he is. While such fawning and swooning is acceptable and even expected from fans and admirers, it goes on to say a lot when the director of your upcoming film goes out of his way to literally treat you like a king! SRK's latest film 'Zero' hits the screens tomorrow, and as per reports, film director Aanand L. Rai didn't just recreate Meerut with a massive, true to life set in Mumbai, for the movie, but also flew down 300 local artists from the ancient city to bring authenticity to the film. It is, however, SRK as a Meerut lad that has gotten us all excited, besides of course his performance as a vertically challenged man in the movie. View this post on Instagram All in one frame ð#ZeroPromotions @iamsrk @katrinakaif @aanandlrai A post shared by AnushkaSharma1588 (@anushkasharma) on Dec 17, 2018 at 2:32am PST Starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif besides the man of the moment, the movie is one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
  16. The wedding season is upon us and Shah Rukh Khan is out there blessing couples with warm wishes. No, I'm not exactly talking about Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal or DeepVeer and not even Priyanka and Nick for that matter, but I'm talking about how SRK made the best day of a couple's lives, even better. We all know that SRK is one of the most loved actors in the country, and his fans simply adore him unconditionally. All that love and admiration has also turned his house into a tourist attraction of sorts and it's a must-visit place when in one is in Mumbai. So, a lot of people do visit his house daily but a particular couple from Mumbai proved to be different. A newly-married couple ended up at 'Mannat' because “They say visit temple after you are hitched, We did it right”. They say visit temple after you are hitched, We did it right !!!! @iamsrk we know you saw us and waved !!!! Thanks alotttt sirrr!!!! Thanks for making this special day, perfect !!!! pic.twitter.com/IaFnJ6ziVI — dhruvp2894 (@dhruvp2894) December 14, 2018 Well, they did do it absolutely right and even got a wave from King Khan himself. But, what's better is that SRK himself saw the tweet and blessed the two newlyweds. So nice, isn't it? God Bless you. https://t.co/A0a7CQ2PXQ — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) December 14, 2018 It all feels even more perfect when we scrolled back a few months on the guy's profile and saw this tweet. #AskSRK@iamsrk #AskSRK getting married this december, just need your blessings @iamsrk and love you!!!!! Your reply will equate to your presece in our marriage pic.twitter.com/kvPz7Vjmbc — dhruvp2894 (@dhruvp2894) June 6, 2018 Well, he finally got the blessings! Such a great couple and they also got what they wanted. What a perfect way to begin their new life.
  17. When you have Beyonce perform at the pre-wedding ceremony, one can only wonder what the actual wedding will entail. Clearly, the whole of Bollywood was wondering the same thing when they attended the wedding, and boy did they 'dress'! Everyone put their best foot forward, but two gentlemen who stole everyone's thunder were Shah Rukh Khan and Suniel Shetty. Why, you ask? They brought back the incredibly underrated and most ignored item of Indian ethnic menswear - the good ol' Dhoti. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Both of them wore white dhotis and paired them with black achkans. While Suniel wore a classy, basic achkan with black buttons, SRK went ahead and wore one with golden buttons, replete with a rich maroon pocket square. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The dhoti is one of the most comfortable and regal looking outfits ever, but it's been a while we saw a celebrity embrace it in all its royal glory, before these two men here did it with the utmost class. 18. The opening ceremony of the Hockey World Cup was thrilling and ecstatic, thanks to King Khan. Shah Rukh Khan recreated his iconic '70 minute' speech from 'Chak De India' where he essayed the role of a hockey coach named Kabir Khan. Sattar Minute, Sattar Minute hai tumhare paas ð¥ Aag hi laga diya Jaan ne toh aaj, Hath mein Hockey Stick lekar uss mahol mein yeh Iconic lines bole, dialogue ke jaise nahi waise jaise apne Bacchon ko advice karte huye kehte, Dil se unhe motivate kiyeðð pic.twitter.com/xc33Op1g2H — â¿ Sнαн Kι Bιωι ⿠ᶻáµÊ³áµ (@JacyKhan) November 27, 2018 Now we know he is no real life coach, but that authoritative voice and the nostalgia that filled the air was enough for all SRK fans to go crazy. Because it is our sport, it is our hockey and there is no more special game than field hockey. And what sets it apart is that it is an amalgamation of a lot of emotions, thoughts and lots and lots of action. It involves guile, strength and stamina. It is a sport that involves artistry. Players are not mere players, they are artists”, he said. Besides SRK, Madhuri Dixit and music legend AR Rahman also performed at the ceremony.
  19. Shah Rukh Khan has been ruling people's hearts as the uncontested 'King Of Romance' for more than 25 years. But, not many people know that SRK is one of the greatest pranksters in Bollywood. And, he recently gave a glimpse of his pranking skills to his fans, in this BTS video from the sets of his upcoming movie, 'Zero'. View this post on Instagram Bauua ka pyaar hai, Aafia ussi ke naam hai. #MereNaamTu out tomorrow. @anushkasharma @katrinakaif @aanandlrai @redchilliesent @cypplofficial A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Nov 22, 2018 at 3:35am PST In fact, this video touches base with a crucial topic - the curious case of the missing samosas. The video begins with director Aanand L Rai gorging on samosa on the sets and asking other people on the set to return his plate of samosas. SRK being SRK, he printed out posters that read "Mera samosa wapis karo..." with Rai's photo on it. That's not it, he got his team to post those posters everywhere in the studio. We all know that one person or have a friend in the group, who teases people for being a foodie, but SRK's prank is by far one of the best ways to prank a friend. The video also shows Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif laughing on the sets as SRK continues pranking Rai. The video hilariously ends with Rai requesting SRK to leave him alone. He says, "Mera peechha chhor do" to which SRK's iconic dialogue from the movie plays in the background, "Hum jiske peeche lag jaate hai, life bana dete hai!" However, no one in the video discloses how and where did the samosas go. That's an interesting mystery and we want India's 'finest' team of detectives to come back and solve this mystery. We're talking about CID's ACP Pradyuman and his two ace team members Daya and Abhijeet. 'Zero' is releasing on December 21.
  20. While most of us were busy stalking Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's wedding pictures on Twitter, Twitter's CEO Jack Dorsey was busy chilling in India. For all those people, who were frantically looking for Shah Rukh Khan at Ranveer and Deepika's wedding in Italy's Lake Como, we're sure you couldn't even find his shadow in any of the pictures because he was in India meditating with Jack. In fact, he especially went to Mannat to wake him up. We're not making this up, he tweeted it himself. He first asked him "@iamsrk u up?" @iamsrk u up? — jack (@jack) November 14, 2018 He then tweeted a picture of SRK's house saying "Knock Knock". @iamsrk knock knock pic.twitter.com/1srdqFiy3O — jack (@jack) November 14, 2018 SRK being SRK, he was at his wittiest best while replying to Jack and wrote, "Up and Ready. And shockingly on time...if anybody has warned u about my tardiness they r just spreading 'fake news...' https://t.co/LE9ybOyJ3K — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) November 14, 2018 And finally the two met and SRK posted a picture of him chilling or should we say meditating with Jack. he wrote, "Today @jack made me realise with his calm demeanour & composed, nearly meditative mindset...'that all Work and no Pray, would make Jack a dull boy.” Thx for dropping in & also team @Twitter for a lively evening. Have a happy stay in India." To which he replied, "Thank you for having us." I enjoyed our conversation about the importance of global conversation. Also: thanks for the ideas for Twitter!”
  21. Shah Rukh Khan is probably the most active 53-year-old on social media but, after all, he is a typical dad and can't help himself but post cute, adorable pictures of his kids online. Actually, most of his pictures are of his youngest son AbRam, as SRK loves to show off how cute he is. Yesterday, he shared a bunch of pictures of AbRam wearing a t-shirt with a rather interesting quote. View this post on Instagram For all the sons of the world...If your Mama is your Queen then there is no stopping you from being The Happy Prince. ( and an iPad loaded with games helps too ) A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) on Nov 9, 2018 at 9:01am PST Don't forget the caption – “For all the sons of the world...If your Mama is your Queen then there is no stopping you from being The Happy Prince. ( and an iPad loaded with games helps too )” Well, we always knew AbRam was a prince, but we thought it was because he's the son of none other than King Khan. But, no there are more reasons and SRK summed it up perfectly. He posted the same picture on Twitter as well with a lot of people replying – obviously – but also comparing both him and his son. After all, like father like son. But whatever, SRK is the typical dad showing off his cute kid on the internet and we're here for it.
  22. It's Shah Rukh Khan's birthday today. It should have been a national holiday, ideally, at least for women throughout the country, but it's not an ideal world after all. But it's the king of romance we're talking about, so we're all celebrating it anyway. So is he, in Mannat. But what struck us the hardest on this birthday is his choice of outfit. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani SRK is legit wearing a shirt made out of what looks like the quintessential desi 'gamchha'. There isn't a man in the country who hasn't used one of these to dry themselves after a shower. They might have become a little tough to spot of late, thanks to the reign of fluffy towels, but move a little beyond metro cities, and you can still easily spot these beauties everywhere. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Though we're a little perplexed about his choice of fabric, we think it doesn't look bad at all! In fact, it looks like the desi cousin of a plaid jacket. Plus, it looks really, really comfortable. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that he is probably the only person in Bollywood who can pull off a statement piece like this while giving 'zero' hoots (see what we did there?) Happy Birthday, SRK!
  23. You know it is the King Khan's birthday when he decides to drop the trailer of his next movie and treat all his fans. The much-awaited trailer of 'Zero' has finally dropped and it obviously has 'BLOCKBUSTER' written all over it because that is what SRK does every time. SRK plays a dwarf whose dream is to touch the sky. The trailer doesn't give out too many details except the fact that 'Baua' wants to chase the best things in life and believes that he is too big for this cage of life. Anushka Sharma looks great in her role as usual and goes the de-glam way again. © Red Chillies Katrina Kaif plays herself and is also probably the reason behind Baua's heart break. © Red Chillies The trailer ends with a rocket shooting up in the sky which leaves you intrigued wondering the connection it has with this complicated love triangle. The trio returns after a hiatus after they were last seen in 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. The movie releases on 21st December this year, so you already know when to book your tickets.
  24. We cue his movies any season or reason and there isn't a dearth of them at all. Yes, I am talking about the undisputed king of Bollywood- Shah Rukh Khan and the best of him, throughout our growing up years and now. Since it's his birthday today, we decided to celebrate it like everyone else is in Bollywood and maybe give away nuggets of his brilliant work, throughout the day. But even other than that we don't really need a reason to write about King Khan, do we? From giving us crazy blockbusters like 'DDLJ' & 'K3G' to standing in his quintessential pose, making all the women go weak in the knees, SRK has literally done it all. No wonder he's the king. He displays everything a king needs to have, doesn't he? © Twitter We love all of SRK's hits. Literally all of them! But there are some movies he's done which haven't really fared too well in the box office but have had a good script and some extremely good acting by the man himself. We'd classify that as some of his most underrated work, which needs to be seen more to be appreciated just as well as his hits. So, here's listing 5 of the most underrated movies SRK has ever been in, which are definitely a must watch. (1) Swades © UTV Motion Pictures I honestly don't know why this one failed in the box office. This is hands down one of SRK's best work. Based on a true life story about an NRI who comes back home in search for his true calling. Shah Rukh nailed the role to the T and gave us a brilliant performance. The music has definitely done great justice too. Remember, 'yun hi challa chal rahi'? Watch trailer here (2) Paheli © Red Chillies Entertainment Paheli is another brilliant scrip that didn't fair too well in the box office. It's the first of its kind fantasy film, done really tastefully, it makes your heart melt with the sheer benevolence. A ghost (played by SRK) falls in love a woman and does everything in his power to be with her. The movie is a remake of a 1973 Hindi movie 'Duvidha' by Mani Kaul. The cast is stellar and the story is beautiful. Definitely watch this when you want to watch a good Shah Rukh Khan movie. Watch trailer here (3) Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na © Shemaroo Video Pvt. Ltd. Come on, we've all loved this movie and watched it umpteen number of times when we were kids, didn't we? SRK's playful, boyish love stuck character definitely stood out and we hated the fact that he was left heartbroken in the end! But ,we still watch the movie any chance we get and definitely sing along to all its songs too! This one's a must watch if you're looking for a fun movie. Watch the trailer here (4) Yes Boss © Venus Records & Tapes Yes Boss was a simplistic drama of the 90s, which was really heart-warming and was liked by everyone who saw it. SRK plays the 'yes man' in the movie who literally does anything his boss asks him. But when his boss asks him to set him up with the girl Rahul (SRK) has the hots for, the movie takes a serious twist. We still love the songs from the movie and of course Shah Rukh and Juhi's adorbale onscreen chemistry. (5) Rab Ne Banaa Di Jodi © Yash Raj Films One of Shah Rukh's commercial endeavours under the Yash Raj Banner, this film was well put together and thought out. At least I enjoyed watching it thoroughly. It also happened to be Anushka Sharma's first ever in Bollywood. The film revolves around Anuhska marrying the introverted and timid SRK, against her will of course and SRK doing anything in his power to make conversations and keep her happy but she isn't happy with him. While enrolling in a dance competition, she's looking out for a dance partner and SRK dons the role of the extroverted and fun loving 'Raj' to win her love over. The only thing got me wondering was the fact that Anushka (Tanni) didn't realise Raj was her husband all through the movie! But it was a good watch regardless. Watch the trailer here So, there we have it. 5 most underrated SRK movies. Has he ever been an inspiration to you in anyway? I remember I had male friends when I was younger, who loved watching his movies and thank him today for teaching them that it's okay for men to show emotions and for them to cry. Kudos SRK, we wish you a 100 more years in Bollywood and in life!
  25. Shah Rukh Khan is known for much more than his killer screen presence and intense acting. His friends and fans admire him for his charming ways, witty remarks and a honest persona that resonates with millions. Thus it comes as no surprise that SRK is also called the “King of words” and has his own way with them. Women swoon at the sight of him, but many of them get swayed by the witty and wise gems he drops every now and then. © Reuters Today, on King of romance's 53rd birthday, we list down 53 brilliant things that ever came outta his mouth. We loved compiling it, and we're sure these words will motivate and inspire you equally. 1. “There's no such thing as 'normal'. That's just another word for lifeless. Madness (of the particularly nice/romantic kind) is an absolute prerequisite to a happy and successful life.” Embrace your weirdness, we're all for it too! 2. “Don't become a philosopher before you become rich.” Makes sense you see. So that if things go amuck, at least we'll have the money to save our sorry arse. 3. Laziness isn't merely a physical phenomenon about being a couch potato, stuffing your face with fries and watching cricket all day. It's a mental thing, too, and that's the part I have never aspired for.” SRK wants us to keep those brain cells well oiled and working. 4. “It's okay to be confused. Confusion is the route to all clarity in the world.” Next time, don't lose heart when things seem a little messy. © Reuters 5. “Money is a good thing to run after. It is very important to be financially stable but you have to keep your wrongs and rights in mind. Don't shy away from earning but without selling your soul.” Gotta stay true to ourselves, and our work. 6. “You come across lots of people all the time but you only make very few friends and you have to be true to them otherwise what's the point in life?” Like they say, love thy neighbour but love your BFFs more. 7. “Wherever I fail as a father or a husband...a toy and a diamond always works.” Ah, that's a tip we don't mind following. 8. “Jo kuch nahi karte, woh kamaal karte hain.” We dearly wish this is true! 9. “Without hurting anybody, we all tend to laugh at others' discomfort. When someone slips on a banana skin and falls it's funny.” Calling a spade a spade, as per usual. © Reuters 10. “If you aren't charged up about doing something, if you don't have what in Hindi we call the “Josh”, the fire in your belly for it, then don't do it.” Got to fire up that passion, right? 11. “Whatever it is that pulling you back, is not going away unless you stand up and start forging your path in the opposite direction. Stop whining and start moving.” Crying over spilt milk was never a good idea anyway. 12. “Art is more important than the artist – have no attachment to your own art. It is regressive, move on.” Like King Khan we have to keep our eyes on that next big goal. 13. “A moment will come when there isn't anything that's going right. But don't panic. With a little embarrassment, you will survive it. All you have to do is make a move and move on a bit.” Let's make laughing at ourselves easier and get over failures © Reuters 14. “Those who do not need to provide or have not built the vehicles of their own sustenance, can afford to be less hardworking and driven than those who carry the burden of necessity.” The need of the hour always brings out the best in us. 15. “There's a whole form of literature in India which talks about the quest for the perfect man by a woman, where every woman looks for a perfect man but only ends up with half that.” Well, as bitter a taste as that might leave on our tongue, some of it is true. 16. “You know, I think we Indians are afraid to show and celebrate our happiness, lest things change around. But I feel that it's okay to be sad and okay to show when you are happy.” Let's celebrate what we've got. 17. “It's not necessary that the world will accept your creativity but don't give up on it yet.” Kuch toh log kahenge, logo ka kaam hai kehna. 18. “The reason I'm good to fans and I believe in them is because I am employed by them.” That's why we love you right back, SRK! © Reuters 19. “Every morning I wake up and think of the same thing that this is the first shot of my life so I better make it stick.” After all, we have to be our own cheerleaders. 20. “When you get to be 50, you will know that the bulk of your regrets are from not having done what you wished to do.” How often have we been told to follow our heart? 21. “You can't force people to love you.” Sooner we understand this, the better. 22. “I don't teach my children what is Hindu and what is Muslim.” Yes, we are Indians first and foremost. 23. “As an adult, I have come to understand that there is nothing of more value than your capacity for diligence and your ability to work hard.” Sure we all know that hard work always pays. © Reuters 24. “Whether people like it or not, my marketing thought is if you keep something in front of people for too long, they get used to it.” Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and memory stronger. 25. “Whatever you do in life, do it like it's your first and last time, and you won't get another chance.” Giving our best in everything we do is vital. 26. “If you live by your fears, everything that could go wrong will go wrong.” If we think about it, it really does make sense. We'll mess things up all by ourselves. 27. “Relationships kill love. Relationships have rule. And rules are misinterpreted.” That was deep. 28. “Making the mistake of thinking your dreams will take flight without you having to flap madly at those wings to get up into the sky, is plain silly.” Success comes to those who dare to take the leap. © Reuters 29. “Destiny plays a part for sure and no one can teach us either how to find it or how to chase it.” Can't leave it all on luck, can we? 30. “A 'perfect life' is a farce. God isn't making utopian ad films and screening them on the clouds to sell its USP to you. It's a man-made idea and we're buying into it all the time!” Life was never meant to be perfect, it's not SRK. 31. “The mind is the seed of creativity but the heart is the soil. That cannot grow without an open heart.” We can't survive without either. 32. "To lead means to inspire, and you cannot inspire people mechanically or through numericals. Inspiration is an emotional construct." Leadership is a quality very few people possess. 33. “Learn to laugh at yourself, at every chance you get. If you manage to learn to not take yourself too seriously, no matter how big shot you become, you'll instantly disarm life's power to beat you down.” Yet how terribly most of us fail at it. © Reuters 34. “Don't let your fears become boxes that enclose you. Open them out, feel them and turn them into the greatest courage you are capable of.” Fear is our biggest enemy. 35. “When people call me God, I say, no, I'm still an angel or saint of acting. I still have a long way to go.” We must always strive to keep learning. 36. “Har kaam ko aise karo, ki kaam ko khud par fakr ho, ki use tumne kiya hai!” Amen. 37. “I have never set goals but I have never truly done a single thing that I wasn't determined to do the best.” This should be our motto, but how far will we go with no set goals in sight? 38. “Every move has a consequence, whether you perceive that it does or does not.” No, we totally believe it. Newton said so too. 39. “All you want to be, is yourself and you're quite sure you know what that is.” You are meant to be like you. If that makes sense. © Reuters 40. “Sports teaches you how to lose and not be a loser.” We could never argue with that now, could we? 41. “I thank God for happiness and sadness. If you are never sad you will never know how good happiness is.” The truth has been spoken. Yet again. 42. “Taking your blessings for granted is the most ungracious stupidity, both in chess and in life.” We can do that right? Counting our blessings we mean. 43. “I realize that things don't always need to be functional to fulfill a need. Sometimes when things are broken, the greatest creativity emanates from their fragments.” Folks, that's the trick to treat our writer's block we tell you. 44. “Study hard. Work hard. Play harder. Don't be bound by rules. Don't hurt anybody, and never ever live somebody else's dream.” Amen to that too. 45. “If you want to excel at something there shouldn't be a single person around you who can claim to be more familiar with its mechanics than you are.” What if I want to be a champ at eating maximum golgappas? © Reuters 46. “I would advise keeping your eyes open for life's magic and not turning away from it citing practicality and good reason. There isn't one. Be brave enough to face your destiny, to sacrifice for it and compromise for it if you have to. It will always be worth it. To imagine that you know better than life is the silliest.” Yes, if you say so we will believe in unicorns too! 47. “Life remains ordinary if you are unable to sustain the capacity to work hard on your dreams. If you aren't determined to get there - you won't.” Hard work = achievement unlocked. 48. “A mind that does not function within the framework of boundaries but constantly searches beyond them is a mind that is able to create anew.” Food for thought, err...mind. 49. “I would go as far as saying that quantifiable goals are indeed illusions. The only reality is hard work.” One can never get enough of working hard to fulfill their dreams. © Reuters 50. “Leaders are able to assimilate experience in order to reframe the world around themselves on their own terms.” Remember this when you get that next promotion. 51. “To be able to love, to give, to share, to nurture, to take others along on your journey with as much goodwill for them as you have for yourself is the basis of all creative endeavour, of all real success, of all happiness and of true leadership.” Find a way to make your TL read this. 52. “Dreaming is not enough, it's also important to be able to dismantle the old, the frameworks that are laid out before you, the ideas that you yourself cling to, the ones that hold you back and prevent you from growing.” Letting go of the past is the only way to step into the future. 53. “Success is not a good teacher. Failure makes you humble.” Saving the best for the last. The guy is such an inspiration!
