During the Indian Premier League 2022 match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders, one of the bigger talking points had to be the seemingly unending IPL struggles for the Team India captain, Rohit Sharma. Having faced just 12 balls, Sharma had to walk back to the dressing room after the in-form pacer Umesh Yadav tricked the MI skipper with a short ball around off. Sharma went for the bait and tried playing his ever-favourite pull. View this post on Instagram However, instead of connecting with the middle of the bat, the ball nicked a top-edge and went straight into the gloves of Sam Billings, the KKR wicketkeeper, who made no mistake securing the catch. In the three matches that Sharma has played for Mumbai Indians so far, the skipper has managed to put up just 54 runs as their opener. 41 of those runs came from his knock against Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals in the first match of the season. View this post on Instagram Worried about the Hitman and his struggling form, a lot of viewers of Indian cricket believe that Sharma should simply follow what Virat Kohli did following the 2021 season of the tournament when he decided to give up his captaincy in order to simply focus on becoming a better batter without taking stress about off the field bureaucracy. And even though Kohli has not looked like his younger self in the first three matches that he has played for the Bengaluru squad so far in the 2022 season, fans and experts have noticed that he is a lot calmer and stress-free and seems to be enjoying himself a lot more than he was for the past few years. Rohit Sharma fans believe that even he could use some time off the leadership responsibilities. Think Rohit Sharma should hand over his captaincy to SKY immediately and play freely as a player…Got too much on his plate to handle… if you want his best let him be a free man — Samip Rajguru (@samiprajguru) April 6, 2022 Amid such discussions catching fire on Twitter, Suryakumar’s action-packed return to the tournament against Kolkata had people talking about how he should be Sharma’s successor as the MI skipper, especially because of the number of times he has put the franchise on his shoulder and won matches practically on his own. He can't handle pressure of intl. As well as IPL — Hariom Gujjar (@hariomgujjar_) April 6, 2022Good to see there is someone who has courage to speak the truth.. & Other one who speaks d truth is @SushantNMehta .. But some people just r spreading agendas..@vikrantgupta73 — G oat (@viratgrt18) April 6, 2022Totally agree with you. Some player excel with pressure like Virat Kohli and some fail with extra pressure like Rohit Sharma. — Elton (@elton_vr1) April 6, 2022As a player he is already finished in 2016. — Balu (@escn__) April 6, 2022However, not everyone was in agreement with the notion of Rohit Sharma stepping down as the MI captain, especially because he has led the franchise to the most number of championship wins in the history of the tournament (5) while also holding the most number of individual championships (6). If he can handle pressure on the biggest stage of the ipl and get mi it's 5th ipl title , I'm sure he can handle that "captaincy pressure" to win MI more titles in the future as well pic.twitter.com/pzddv7eAML — NAMAN_45 (@EashZen) April 6, 2022Take This Ratio From pic.twitter.com/RrvAhZwuDH — Shailendra Mishra (@imShail_3) April 6, 2022Kaha se aate yeh log Rohit has won 5 trophies and he is indian captain... — Meethi Mirchi KKR (@cold_toffee) April 6, 2022Cool down guys....Now haters are in their prime form And when Rohit's form will back their prime form ( hate) will cool down and they will disappear...this guy is amazing them — Soumyajit Rout (@Soum2Rout) April 6, 2022 View the full article

Produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the movie features newbies Lakshay and Gurfateh Pirzada as the male leads. View this post on Instagram Even before the release of her debut project, Shanaya has bought a new car for a whopping amount. Well, she has purchased a luxurious Audi Q7 SUV car. A few pictures have been posted on the Instagram page of the luxury vehicle brand in which Shanaya is seen posing with her Audi which has her name on the number plate. The debutante wore a white spaghetti top with matching sweatpants and looked elated. She was accompanied by her parents, Sanjay and Maheep. View this post on Instagram Interestingly, the Audi model costs a whopping Rs 80 lakh which is a huge amount to spend, ahead of one's debut. The 2022 Audi Q7 is available in two trim levels: Premium Plus (80 lakh) and Technology (88 lakh). Soon, the pictures went viral on the internet and netizens started trolling Shanaya for buying an Audi even before making her Bollywood debut. View this post on Instagram Reacting to the pictures, a social media user wrote, "Their struggle starts like this". Another Instagram user commented, "Bina kuch kiye 80 lakh kahan se aye iske pass". A third comment reads, "Yeh sahi hai, movie ke success se pehle hi car le li! Struggle at a parallel universe!" Another netizen commented, "Of course an Audi for herself after her immense struggle to get her first film!" Here are the reactions: © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram We wonder how Shanaya would react to it. Well, trolling culture has taken over social media and it should come to an end immediately. Do you agree? Share your views in the comments section below. Coming back to Bedhadak, the makers had announced the film earlier this month by unveiling the first look posters of the lead trio. Shanaya's first look had received a mixed response from moviegoers and it'll be interesting to see if she'll succeed in making a mark with her debut movie or not. For the unversed, she had earlier worked as an assistant director on Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, which was released in 2020 on Netflix. The biographical drama featured Shanaya's cousin sister Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role. Later, she was seen in a cameo in Netflix's The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives, which starred her mother Maheep along with Seema Khan, Bhavana Pandey, and Neelam Kothari. View the full article

Whoever says height doesn’t matter is probably lying to you. According to the report ‘The Effect of Adolescent Experience on Labor Market Outcomes: The Case of Height’ published by a group of economics professors from the University of Pennsylvania, shorter men are likely to earn 13% lesser than their taller peers. While dating trends might be changing gradually, based on anecdotal evidence shorter men tend to be favored less by women, who traditionally go for men of the taller variety. Globally the average for mens’ height varies from region to region, with the average Indian man standing 5.8 feet tall (177 cm) while their American counterparts tower over them by a measly inch. Why are we talking so much about mens’ heights? © Eros Worldwide Well because it seems like even Bollywood’s macho-est of actors, Salman Khan, isn’t impervious to the effects of being on the shorter scale of things. A quick Google search will tell you that his official height remains a bit of a mystery, with figures being quoted anywhere from 5.8 feet tall to 5.5 feet. Over the years, he’s rarely been sported without his signature chunky shoes that he wears for all public affairs. And it looks like sometimes, despite affording him an extra couple of vertical inches, even that may not suffice for him. In a tweet that has been going viral, Salman bhai can be seen standing next to Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi (who himself is close to 5.8 feet in height based on publicly available figures), and another elderly man. Absolutely normal, right? Well, not entirely. A Twitter user called ‘Just A Fan.’ shared a zoomed-in version of the same photo, where it shows that bhai may have been sneakily standing on his toes, so as to elevate himself for the picture. Here’s the post for you to see: Salman Khan overcoming his Height! pic.twitter.com/NPocb2vtpj — JUST A FAN. (@iamsrk_brk) March 21, 2022 Twitter users have obviously been having a field day. This user commented, “is he short? I've never noticed... he always seemed tall to me”.While a second one noted the universality of this feeling, “Even They Wear Big Heel shoes to look Taller.”A third, more empathetic user shared their opinion, “There is nothing wrong with being short, the bad thing is feeling self-conscious about it so that all your shoes have 10cm soles that help you look tall” Needless to say, there’s nothing wrong with men being short. Sometimes it’s just that the insecurities we’re raised with take a lot longer to leave our side. Here’s hoping to see Salman Khan ditch his platform shoes and accept himself in a pair of flats View the full article

Ahead of the second Test between India and Sri Lankan at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma became the focal point of a hilarious video in which he could not keep the hat on his head while warming up at the venue. In the video, the team could be seen running against the flow of the wind and then came Sharma who immediately lost the hat and started blowing backwards only for Ravindra Jadeja to pick it up and hand it back to him. Bobby Deol was undoubtedly quite popular back when he first got his big break in Bollywood. Being the son of Bollywood hall of Famer Dharmendra and also the brother of someone like Sunny Deol, there was of course a lot of buzz around the future of Bobby in the industry. © BCCL Well, he did live up to it with the release of his film Soldier, which proved to be a massive hit with the fans. The actor had a very different commanding presence to his brother and father, and that was what people really liked about it. He had an X-factor that separated him from others, and he continued to get a lot of offers in films. However, two decades on, we've seen quite less of Bobby, with the actor going through his own share of struggles. Bobby has, in the past, opened up on how difficult it was for him to carry on working in films. It's known that Bollywood is a tough nut to crack, and Bobby, coming from a family of actors, still had troubles in cementing his place with the elite. However, it looks like he's decided to put his struggles behind him and just saw the release of his latest film Love Hostel. © Zee5 In the movie that stars Sanya Malhotra and Vikrant Massey, Bobby plays the role of a ruthless mercenary, Dagar, who is hired by Sanya's family to hunt down her and her lover Vikrant Massey. His performances are getting a lot of praise, however, it looks like Bobby has learned from his struggles and has a message for his younger son, Aryaman Deol. As things go, there is a chance that Aryaman might also choose to step into films, and Bobby has had his say on it. Speaking with Siddharth Kanna in a recent interview, Bobby reacted to his son being called good looking, and said, “When I was going to make my Bollywood debut, people used to say the same things to me, that he is good looking and he will be a superstar. But I know the reality. It doesn't matter what you look like, if viewers want to see you they will. Nobody knows what's gonna happen in the future. Definitely, his good looks are a plus point and I am very proud of it but there is no guarantee about what's gonna happen in this industry." said Bobby. Speaking on the importance of education, Bobby had a message for youngsters wanting to join the industry. “I wanted my kids to complete their education first. My son is studying business management. I want him to complete his education and make up his mind so that even if he fails in the film industry, he can do something else. So, it is very important for youngsters who can afford to complete their education, before becoming an actor because I am an example, I went through that being a star's son." said Bobby. It's good to see Bobby be so candid about his son and Bollywood in general. We really hope we can see more of him in movies now. Source: Hindustan Times View the full article

If there’s one actor in Bollywood who has struggled to make ends meet, never glorified it and rather been extremely honest about how life shaped up for him, then it's Manoj Bajpayee. The Family Man actor is one of the most sought after actors in the country today but we’d have missed this talent house had he not fought all odds to be where he is today. View this post on Instagram Not many know but Manoj was born in a farmer’s family in Bihar and has 5 siblings. While he struggled to fulfil his dreams, it was not easy at all. He was sadly rejected for NSD thrice and that gravely affected him. Around two years ago, in his interview with HOB, he spoke about the experience. Sharing the days of his initial struggle, Manoj told Humans of Bombay, "I'm a farmer's son; I grew up in a village in Bihar with 5 siblings–we went to a hut school. We led a simple life, but whenever we went to the city, we'd go to the theatre. I was a Bachchan fan & wanted to be like him. At 9, I knew acting was my destiny. But I couldn't afford to dream & continued my studies. Still, my mind refused to focus on anything else, so at 17, I left for DU." View this post on Instagram Things got so bad for the actor emotionally, that he sadly even contemplated ending his life. “I was an outsider, trying to fit in. So, I taught myself English & Hindi–Bhojpuri was a big part of how I spoke. I then applied to NSD, but was rejected thrice. I was close to committing suicide, so my friends would sleep next to me & not leave me alone. They kept me going until I was accepted." Things started getting better when after struggling for over 4 years, he got a role in a Mahesh Bhatt TV series and that led to him getting Satya, which turned the game for him. “That's when the awards rolled in. I bought my first house & knew...I was here to stay. 67 films later, here I am. That's the thing about dreams–when it comes to turning them into reality, the hardships don't matter. What matters is the belief of that 9-year-old Bihari boy & nothing else," Manoj exclaimed. His story is proof that when life gets hard, tough people get harder, not give up. View the full article
