After delivering back to back pan-Indian blockbusters, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is rightly considered the greatest filmmaker of this era. It all started for him on a bigger level with a film called Eega (2012) that was released in Hindi as Makkhi. While at the box office it failed, but the film garnered enough buzz and eyeballs on satellite. Later, the filmmaker released his magnum opus Baahubali: The Beginning which surprised & shocked everyone when it collected over Rs 100 crore in Hindi. © Dharma Productions The film was followed by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which broke all the box office records and turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema across languages. He has now followed up the mammoth success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion with another gigantic hit RRR, which is about to go past the Rs 1000 crore mark globally. Ever since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning, the word “pan-India” gained popularity and has now been used and abused in media and on social media. However, SS Rajamouli doesn’t agree that Baahubali: The Beginning was the first “pan-Indian film” of Indian cinema. According to him, it’s an Aamir Khan starrer 2001 classic. It so happened that at the recent success meet of RRR in Mumbai, Aamir was invited as a special guest along with Javed Akhtar, Karan Johar & Darshan Kumar among others. During the interaction with the media, SS Rajamouli was all praise for Aamir and called him the flagbearer of pan-Indian films and credited his Oscar-nominated Lagaan as the first one on the long list now. © Aamir Khan Productions He said, “For me, Lagaan is my first pan-Indian film. When a film works across north, east, south, west, you know, that becomes a pan-Indian film, not releasing in many languages.” He further added, “That’s (watching Lagaan) where I learnt breaking the boundaries. That is where he taught not just me but so many filmmakers that if you have conviction, you go with your story and people across the country will like your film. So, that is the basis of my travelling into other languages, let it be Makkhi, Baahubali or RRR. The seed was sown then. Thank you sir for inspiring so many filmmakers for such a long time & giving me…” Aamir then interrupted Rajamouli saying, “No, no no, what is he saying! Can you hear this man! What is he talking about!” He then continued saying that he isn’t any master but a student himself even now and while making Lagaan they didn’t know whether they are doing it right or not. Rajamouli then added, “Exactly, that’s what I am coming to sir. Along with Lagaan, I also watched its making video of Lagaan. That’s when I learnt that if you find a team that is willing to give their everything then only you make a film that will connect to the most number of people. That is what I learned from Lagaan.” Watch the video below: © DVV Entertainment Meanwhile, RRR has hit the Rs 200 crore mark in the Hindi belts and has become only the second film to do so post-pandemic. It has now to be seen how well it sustains over its third weekend to know whether it will be able to zoom past the lifetime collection of The Kashmir Files or not. View the full article

6 Successful South Indian Actresses Who Sadly Flopped In Bollywood
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News
Some of the biggest actors in this country are big courtesy the money they earn and the love of their fans, which make them a ‘superstar’. However, fans are emotional about their favourite stars in a certain way and love to watch them in a certain way as well. So it's only natural that what may click for one industry may not spell the same sentiments for another. Here are 6 South Indian actresses who enjoy a stupendous successful career and a loyal fan base down South but have not been able to find the same amount of success in Bollywood: 1. RambhaOne of the easiest memories us 90s kids have of this beautiful actress in Bollywood is when we watched her opposite Salman Khan in Judwaa. While her Bollywood stint wasn’t too big, she has acted in films made in over eight languages in a career spanning over two decades. View this post on Instagram 2. Kajal AggarwalShe is one of the biggest names down South and has many awards to her credit. While Kajal has worked in some super successful movies in Tollywood, she couldn’t replicate the same success in Bollywood and was seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham. View this post on Instagram 3. Pooja HegdeOne of the top actresses in Tollywood who is currently being seen in Radhey Shyam opposite Prabhas made her grand Bollywood debut with Mohenjadaro. While Pooja continues to do some big budget movies with the best production houses, her fan base in Bollywood is nothing as compared to her craze down South. View this post on Instagram 4. Trisha KrishnanShe is fondly referred to as the ‘queen of South’ amongst her Kollywood fans and has many successful movies to her credit. Trisha tried her hand in Bollywood with Khattha Meetha opposite Akshay Kumar but couldn’t work her magic here. View this post on Instagram 5. Tamannaah BhatiaA renowned name in Tamil and Telugu movie industries, Tamanaah is one of the top current leading actresses. Her stint in Bollywood movies however has not been as strong sadly. View this post on Instagram 6. Shriya SaranOne of the biggest and the highest paid actresses of Tollywood, Shriya was last seen in a cameo in RRR. Her name is synonymous with a lot of big movies but in Bollywood, her success rate has been quite low. View this post on Instagram View the full article -

We have often heard that certain actors charge the moon for their films. However, not all filmmakers can afford to pay the exorbitant fees that actors might demand. © Instagram/kareenakapoorkhan From Shah Rukh Khan to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, we have had many actors lose out on projects because of their fees. We take a look at some of these actors, who were offered some really good films, which they lost because of their financial decisions. © Instagram/nawazuddin._siddiqui Surely, after the release of these films, these actors must have taken a good hard look at the choices they made. 1. Nawazuddin Siddiqui © Instagram/nawazuddin._siddiqui Nawazuddin was supposed to take up the role of Anu Kapoor in Jolly LLB 2. However, the actor was adamant about charging Rs 3.5 Crores for the film, and as per some reports, a very small fraction of the profits as well. The makers of the film were not really keen on this and decided to go with Anu Kapoor. 2. Shah Rukh Khan © Instagram/iamsrk Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan was offered to play one of the male leads in Padmaavat. Several reports claim it was the role of Alauddin Khalji. However, the actor asked Rs 90 Crores for the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to drop the idea of casting him, as his fees would severely skew the budget of the film. 3. Kareena Kapoor © Instagram/kareenakapoorkhan Kareena Kapoor was offered the role of Naina in Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Na Ho. However, reports say that she was asking for twice what she would normally charge at that time. Therefore, Karan decided to sign Preity Zinta. 4. Sonakshi Sinha © Instagram/aslisona Sonakshi Sinha was supposed to be cast opposite Salman Khan in Kick. However, the fees demanded by her were exorbitant for the producers. Both the parties negotiated for some time, but eventually, it broke down when news surfaced that Deepika Padukone had been roped in, which turned out to be false. Finally, Jacqueline Fernandez was signed for the film. 5. Madhuri Dixit Nene © Instagram/madhuridixitnene Madhuri Dixit Nene was inundated with offers after she made her comeback with Aaja Nachle, even before the film was released. Madhuri quoted Rs 5 Crores for each of these films. However, several producers were not comfortable in paying her that much, especially after the release of Aaja Nachle. Because of this, she lost out on a number of projects. 6. Sridevi © Eros International Imagine Sridevi in Baahubali, as Queen Sivagami. Well, she was offered the role, and everyone, starting from the producers to the directors were very keen on signing her for the film. However, she was adamant about the Rs 6 Crores that she was charging as her fees. The filmmakers couldn’t afford to pay her that much and eventually went with Ramya Krishnan. View the full article

The hard reality is that a lot of relationships break because one of the two people needs more stability (financial and otherwise) than the other is willing or capable of providing. It won’t be wrong to say that some women who are looking for a successful partner do end their relationship or turn down a man on the basis of his financial or professional stature. © iStock However, what if she realises she made a huge mistake by letting him go when she sees him doing well in life and decides to return? Yes, it might sound filmy and far from reality but it has, in fact, happened to a lucky few who got the chance to take the bitter-sweet revenge from the gold-digger exes and women who didn’t see their worth earlier. © iStock Someone asked men on Reddit, how they reacted when their “former one-sided love returned” after they became successful. And, here is how men responded. 1. “It's going to be different for everybody, I suppose. I wasn't mad. Wasn't rude. Wasn't happy. Wasn't anything. Told her that ship had sailed. Because it had.” –reddit_bandito 2. “I was appalled and lost what little respect I had for her. My reaction would've been one of indifference if she hadn't made it so obvious.” –thenameclicks © iStock 3. “Got married, she cheated, it nearly killed me, self deletion. Divorce ruined me, lost the house, kids, and dealt with false allegations. Sold a lot of software code, rights and intellectual property rights. Made money on the sale, a lot of money. She came back asking to try again...She still asks to try again.” –akihonj 4. “It was petty satisfaction but it felt really good when my ex started to text me trying to hookup after she saw the size of the engagement ring I bought for my now wife." 5. “Gave her a taste of the good life then dumped her. I know it sounds petty but she really f*cked with my emotions and needed some closure.” ––oilyproman © iStock "She broke up with me after I lost my job and was struggling to get back into my industry…Started my own company instead of continuing the job search and now I’m BALLIN lol. Felt so good to tell the ex to go **** off.” –SoGnarRadar4 6. “Left her on read.” –chillest_dude_ 7. “I walked away without saying anything. I didn't want to say anything because I would have ended up screaming insults at her. I thought it was best if I just ignored her and don't give her the time of day.” –aldric864 © iStock Most of the men who answered tried the same approach by not saying or doing anything but respectfully turning them down and probably slept peacefully. As they say, silence and success is the best revenge. View the full article
