  1. When it comes to redemption in the domain of style, no one in Bollywood quite had it as successfully as a certain Mr Suniel Shetty. From shabby, ill-fitting clothes during the '90s to being the picture of suavity currently, at the age of 57 (what?), his style game has only improved with age - just like fine wine. What sets him apart from the crowd is his versatility, especially his comfort with pulling off traditional Indian wear as nonchalantly as athleisure. The way he pulls off a dhoti like it's no big deal, is one for the books, and here are 8 times he wore it, rocked it, and showed it why it needs to come back to our wardrobes immediately. 1. When he wore it with a smart black sherwani and paired it with a pocket square and black leather jootis. © Viral Bhayani 2. When he went for the most basic but most sophisticated outfit ever - the white dhoti with a white kurta. © Viral Bhayani 3. When he added a classy twist to the all-white dhoti kurta combo with a blue bandhgala waistcoat. © Instagram 4. A grey dhoti with a black border? Yes, please! © Twitter/SunielShetty_FC 5. 2. After losing the 2-match T20I series in a rather disappointing fashion, Indian cricket fans saw a ray of hope when the Men in Blue went on a great run, winning the first two ODIs in the five-match series, with Indian batsmen--including Virat Kohli, Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni playing some brilliant innings. However, after losing the Ranchi ODI by 32 runs, all eyes were on Kohli's men giving their best in order to come out victorious in Mohali, winning the series with the Delhi game still in hand. After scoring a massive total of 358, the win looked almost certain, all we had to do was bowl the 50 overs as there was no way the Aussie were going to chase such a score. Who knew Aaron Finch's men would get some extra boost as the Indian cricketers created some major goof ups in the form of dropped catches, misfields and dropped catches (so many dropped catches). And then the unthinkable happened. Not only did the Australians chase the massive total, they did it with more than two overs to spare. Following the loss, one of the Indian cricketers who found himself taking a major share of the blame was the Indian wicket keeper Rishabh Pant who missed out on major stumping opportunities at crucial junctions of the game. To make matters worse, the 21-year-old also dropped a couple of catches behind the wicket. The fact that veteran keeper and former captain of the team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni wasn't a part of the playing XI and Pant had to replace his presence led to all the MS Dhoni fans putting on a barrage of brutal criticisms, taunting his inability as a wicketkeeper whilst comparing him to a veteran like Dhoni. As the day ended, a lot of people came forward to show their support for the player who had suffered a lot of firing in the past 24 hours. While his childhood coach, Tarak Sinha called all the comparisons between Dhoni and Pant completely unfair, the Delhi-born cricketer got support from a rather unexpected source. He's just 21 and represents India in all 3 formats. Let's introspect and see what we were doing at that age. Give him a chance. @RishabPant777 u are pure talent keep the focus, you got this ! pic.twitter.com/GDySpRgiGU — Suniel Shetty (@SunielVShetty) March 11, 2019 Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty came to the young athlete's rescue reminding everyone of the fact that having been only 21 years old, Pant is one of the top choices for the team in all three formats of the game. Shetty also goes on to urge everyone who's criticising the talented star to introspect and realise what they were doing when they were of his age. Finally, he requests the ever-so-passionate fans of the game to give Pant a chance as he is destined for greatness and great things are in store for him. Wise words.
  3. Suniel Shetty perhaps has the best 'redemption story' in Bollywood, when it comes to fashion and grooming. From being the ever-scruffy and sweaty distressed hero with anger issues wearing torn and tattered clothes to the suave, sophisticated aesthetic he now proudly flaunts, his has been a journey worth noticing. Of the many, many things that contributed to his swanky new avatar now, his beard probably is the most important entity. His thick, shapely salt-n-pepper face mane is as alluring as it is intimidating, and it just works for his classy-dad aesthetic in a way that's extremely impressive. Here are 10 pictures which prove that Suniel Shetty has the best beard in Bollywood right now. 1. 'Yoga se hi hoga' but that beard tho! 4. Whatever style gaffes Suniel Shetty might be a victim of during the '90s, he has more than made up for all of that now. He probably is the fittest dad in Bollywood right now with grown up kids, and his fashion game is so on point that the only proper analogy would be that of aging wine. From giving 25-year-olds a run for their money to giving SRK style complex, this man is a force to reckon with. He just proved it once again by attending Amit Thackeray's wedding reception wearing a plain white dhoti and making it look runway-ready. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The white cotton dhoti is perhaps the most 'Indian' outfit of all times, when it comes to menswear, but it is terribly underrated. Be it the comfort, the grace, or the raw, natural, masculine appeal it exudes - there is no other outfit that can score better. Suniel Shetty clearly understands it, as he stood tall, wearing a simple dhoti amongst the glam and glitz around, and stealing everyone's thunder nonetheless. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani A white kurta and a cotton dhoti not only makes for the most comfortable outfit ever, it is also the most regal one - in a sophisticated, subtle manner. The fact that he chose to wear a pair of brown Kolhapuris with it, and kept it comfy yet classy, shows that his style game is as effortlessly functional as it is smart. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is the new crop of Bollywood youngsters need a style lesson from him about how to keep it simple yet stunning, urgently. Kudos!
  5. When you have Beyonce perform at the pre-wedding ceremony, one can only wonder what the actual wedding will entail. Clearly, the whole of Bollywood was wondering the same thing when they attended the wedding, and boy did they 'dress'! Everyone put their best foot forward, but two gentlemen who stole everyone's thunder were Shah Rukh Khan and Suniel Shetty. Why, you ask? They brought back the incredibly underrated and most ignored item of Indian ethnic menswear - the good ol' Dhoti. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Both of them wore white dhotis and paired them with black achkans. While Suniel wore a classy, basic achkan with black buttons, SRK went ahead and wore one with golden buttons, replete with a rich maroon pocket square. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The dhoti is one of the most comfortable and regal looking outfits ever, but it's been a while we saw a celebrity embrace it in all its royal glory, before these two men here did it with the utmost class. Don't they look phenomenal? © Viral Bhayani View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Dec 12, 2018 at 11:57am PST View this post on Instagram A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) on Dec 13, 2018 at 1:55am PST
  6. We grew up admiring Bollywood stars for a number of reasons - some for their charisma, some for their physique, some because of how good-looking they were. However, sometimes, those criteria change. For example, Suniel Shetty wasn't really admired because of his fashion sense back in the '90s, during his peak years, but look at the man now! He is 57, but he looks incredible, and we won't even be exaggerating if we said he looks better than ever. He was recently spotted at the airport in a fitted T-shirt and jogger pants, and we couldn't help but admire how excellently he is embracing age. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani To have maintained that toned, musclebound physique at the age of 57 in itself is worthy of appreciation, but Suniel sure knows how to do justice to it by dressing right. We love his choice of T-shirt. The royal blue perfectly complements his skin tone. Plus, it's doing wonders for that perfectly shaped salt-n-pepper beard as well. © Viral Bhayani The fact that he has chosen to wear a pair of well-fitted jogger pants in light blue, shows that he understands how to utilize the shade card in terms of choosing outfits. We are in love with the combination. It is classy, and extremely versatile. © Viral Bhayani Mr Shetty's choice of footwear shows that he is all about minimalism and class. What other footwear, other than a pair of white sneakers, can possibly look better with this outfit? © Viral Bhayani He has kept the accessory bit minimal, by opting for a pair of aviators and a silver 'kada' - simple, but classy. The youngsters are jealous, Mr S. And rightfully so!
