  2. Let's face it, no one looks as charming as Jim Sarbh or Milind Soman with grey hair. Everyone freaks out when they see a few strands of grey hair for the first time on their head, no matter what the age. People often associate greying hair with age. So, naturally, for most men and women in their twenties, spotting a bit of grey hair on their heads makes their world come crashing down on them. Now, it is absolutely normal for anybody to have one or two strands of grey hair. However, if you spot a bunch of them, chances are that there's something wrong. If you are one of the many people who have fallen victim to this modern-day vice, read on to find out how do you stop premature ageing: 1. Eat Right © Getty Images You've got to have a balanced diet, preferably one that has some key nutrients in abundance. Vitamins B12 and C are key for great scalp health and really goes a long way to stop premature greying. 2. Sleep Well © Getty Images No matter what you do, you simply cannot avoid living a stressful lifestyle. The only alternative that remains is to get proper rest. We suggest following a set sleeping pattern, one that has at least 6-7 hours of sleep. 3. Workout © Getty Images If you get the time to hit the gym regularly, kudos to your dedication and time management skills. However, since it is nearly impossible for the rest of us to do so, it is ideal if you workout anywhere and anytime you get a chance. Try taking the stairs instead of the escalator. Or walk instead of taking a rickshaw for a short distance to the nearby market. 4. Quit Smoking © Getty Images Nearly all your health problems can be linked to this one. We know how hard can it be to really kick the butt, but trust us when we say this, that it is completely worth it. Smoking causes some really drastic hormonal changes that are really detrimental for your hair. Apart from greying hair, it can also cause dry and itchy scalp, or worse, premature hair fall. 5. Oil Your Hair © Getty Images We all love a good oil massage, especially when our mom used to do it for us with all that zeal and passion. Unfortunately, most of us don't have that luxury anymore, thanks to our hectic schedules and super busy lifestyles. So, it helps if you think of massaging your hair more as a necessity than an option. And let's not forget, how relaxing and rejuvenating a good hair massage feels like. 6. Avoid Harsh Hair Products © Getty Images You really need to be cautious when you are choosing a shampoo. Not only there are chances that your current shampoo, as well as conditioner, does not actually suit you, they may be really harsh for your scalp and hair. Try sampling a few options before finally settling for one. Or, consult a dermatologist to find out what works for you.
  3. Javed Jaffrey not only was an entertainer par excellence, but also used to rule the hearts of '90s kids. 'Boogie Woogie' used to be the rage back then, and his playful charisma struck a chord with everyone watching him on TV. Looks like he has passed that charisma on to his son - Meezaan - who is about to be launched in B-Town, by none other than Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali himself. He is playing the lead along with Bhansali's niece, Sharmin Segal, in 'Malaal'. Apart from his father's screen presence, he also seems to have nailed the 'fashionably woke' role, judging by his pictures. Take a look here. He clearly knows how to use the appeal of distressed denim to his advantage. 4. We all knew Tony Stark would be a big part of 'Spiderman: Far From Home' but were we prepared for that? I don't know. Every new trailer or any footage since the release of 'Avengers: Endgame' has talked about Tony - and the fact that he's dead now - and well, now we're learning more and more about him still. In the Iron Man movies, we've seen Tony spending a lot of time in his lab working on his suits and well, 'Spiderman: FFH' shows his 'ward' Peter Parker working in his lab in one of Tony's planes. Remember Peter wearing Tony's glasses in the second official trailer? Now, we get to see what they actually do. Here's a compilation of a bunch of international teasers and trailers that have come out till now. So many new scenes, yet we still don't what the f**k is happening with the multiverse. That will be exciting to watch in just a few months. Actually, here's another set of teasers. Along with all of that, there's apparently a 'leaked' trailer as well which has a bunch of new footage along with everything we've seen before. BROTHERS AND SISTERS I PRESENT TO YOU pic.twitter.com/nC7iNu18i7 — *â§ï½¥ï¾* ð¤ðð²ð¥ð *ï½¥ï¾â§* (@suitedspidey) June 1, 2019 Yes, it's not exactly leaked since it looks like it probably played at some theatre before a movie. ('Endgame', I'm guessing) 'Spiderman: Far From Home' is almost here but it still seems so far away, and we really are dealing with some serious MCU withdrawal right now. July 2nd cannot come fast enough.
  5. We have all been there - we go to the outlet of our favourite clothing brand, or the one that has some awesome deals on denims, browse through their offerings, try a fit or two, pick them up and call it a day. Rarely do we even think of customising them, apart from the slight alterations here and there. As a result, the world now seems lost in a sea of common and quite frankly, boring denims - be it a shirt, jacket or jeans. However, it does not have to be that way. A few brave souls have shown the world that adding bling to your regular old denims is a guaranteed way to turn heads. Do it right, and you may even be crowned as the fashion guru in your college or office. The key here is to balance things out. Go overboard, and you may end up looking like a 7-year-old girl's Ken Doll. However, if like us, going subtle as well as over the top is your thing, then read on. 1. Whacky Prints © Instagram Fans of prints, make some noise! Prints are, by far, the easiest way to get your favourite denim customised. There are plenty of service providers in most tier I and tier II cities, who can print out your favourite movie poster, or graphics on your jacket, or shirt. Alternatively, there are several denim makers who will do that for you. Just ensure that you don't go for an actual photograph, and certainly not one of yours. That just looks tacky. 2. Embroider Your Heart Out © Pinterest Embroidering stuff onto your denim shirt or denim jacket can totally change the look of your outfit and elevate it to a whole new level. Plus, because it is often done by hand, embroidery adds a distinct legacy to the piece. Similar to prints, there are tons of designs that you can go for. And, if you want to take the personalisation to a whole new level, you can always take it upon yourself to create your own masterpiece. 3. Catchy Patchy © Etsy Are you a fan of the EPL and want to shout it out to the rest of the world? Or, like any other woke millennial, do you support causes that leave your parents confused and dazed? Try adding a few patches to your denim. Now, there are two ways to go about it. You can either pick ones that need to be stitched on to your piece, which is super easy to do if you know your way around a needle and some thread. Or, you can go for an even easier route and pick up a few options that can be ironed on. The best thing about patches is that they can be added and removed as one wishes to. In effect, one can actually play to one's heart's content with patches. 4. Custom Leather Patches © Etsy Of all the things that we have listed here, nothing is as subtle as a personalised leather patch. One would ask why would one to customise something like a leather patch, a thing that is no one even looks at? Well, leather patches are one of the very few pieces that can actually bear your name, without seeming to be too full of yourself. Plus, there are tons of other designs, most of which are very classy and distinct. 5. Colour & Dye © Pinterest When it comes to coloured denims, most of us believe that singular shades are the way to go. However, if you have ever seen a reputable fashion house's summer or spring launch, you will realise that it is not necessarily true. Dyed denims, especially jeans, can be mesmerising to look at and a really fun way to make, if you choose to dye your denims, yourself. Because there are tons of options in terms of colours and oxidation processes, you don't really know what you may end up with. That's actually the fun part. Just to play it safe, we suggest that you first do a trial run, perhaps on your younger sibling's jeans before you commit to your own piece.
  6. Growing your beard can be a tricky business. But who doesn't like a good beard? However, growing a beard can be a little tough. So here are hacks that'll help you grow your beard faster. 1. Exfoliation Is Key © Getty Images It's important to keep your face fresh and exfoliate to weed out the dry skin cells. Dead skin cells hinder hair growth. 2. Taking Care Of Dietary Needs © Getty Images It's important to have a balanced diet and drink at least 8 glasses of water. 7. 'Game of Thrones' may be over, but the craze around it will not get over anytime soon, for reasons that we all are aware of. If you ever wondered whether the show has any Indian connection (apart from the well-known Indira Verma who plays Ellaria Sand), here is one more. The Dothraki 'Qhono' has a solid Indian connection. 8. Wondering why you wake up looking like a zombie? Well, THOSE ARE DARK CIRCLES. They appear due to multiple reasons like unhealthy lifestyle, sleep deprivation and stress. We can't tell you how to mend your life, but we certainly can help you get rid of dark circles. How, you ask? Get ready to take notes, fellas! Causes Of Dark Circles: 1. If you are prone to allergies As dreadful as it sounds, it is absolutely true that allergies are a big cause of dark circles. You could be sensitive to dust, smoke or pet hair. This can lead to darkening of the skin, leading to puffiness in your eyes. 2. Genetics In some cases, dark circles are unavoidable. Some people are born with thinner skin because it's all in the genes. Low levels of collagen make the skin around the eyes loose. If you still wish to hide them, bag a concealer. 3. Lack of proper sleep Netflix for sure is tempting and we're with you, but compromising your sleep will do no good. Lack of sleep is one of the most common problems in which the skin under your eyes becomes dilated and you will be left with dark circles. Here's a treatment for you to consider, stat. 1. Green tea bags © Getty Images An old trick that's not only effective, but has also earned its place in the grooming section. Green tea contains antioxidants and for best results, all you need to do is place two cool green tea bags on your eyes for about 10 minutes. Aren't you feeling rejuvenated already? 2. Use Aloe Vera © Getty Images Aloe vera is filled with a plethora of advantages for your eyes. Before sleeping, massage your under eyes with aloe vera gel for 10 minutes and notice the stubborn dark circles disappear. 3. Eye masks © Getty Images Treat your drunken nights instantly with eye masks as they hydrate your skin overnight. Good sleep is just a step away. 4. Cleanse, cleanse & cleanse © Getty Images After a long day, your skin needs some refreshment. Make sure you wash your face with a mild cleanser. Any moisturiser or sunblock left on your skin will attract free radicals and we don't want that. 5. Get a sunscreen © Getty Images Choosing the right sunscreen and adding it to your grooming arsenal will prove quite helpful. Given the dangers of sunburn, shield your skin with an SPF 30 sunscreen lotion when you head out next. Plus, staying hydrated especially in this scorching heat is quite important. Make sure you consume about 13 glasses of water, EVERY DAY. It helps maintain the quality of your skin and it's an ideal way to attract women. Just Kiddin'.
  9. Whether it's international cricket or T20 leagues, Mahendra Singh Dhoni needs no introduction at all. Over the years, the former Indian skipper has carved his own niche on the back of unorthodox cricketing skills. If his batting might allowed him to earn the tag of one of the world's best finishers, Dhoni's lightning quick glovework left everyone in awe. If that's not enough, his leadership skills have allowed Team India to scale new heights in international cricket. And, even if Virat Kohli has replaced him as India's new captain, Dhoni's know-how of the game has allowed him to still call the shots on the field. But, Dhoni is much more than just a good cricketer. He is a great human being. From paying homage to the tireless ground staff personnel, indulging in charitable work to obliging fans for selfies, there have been so many incidents when Dhoni's humility has been in full display. But, his love and admiration for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans, who worship the Jharkhand cricketer like their own, once again came to the fore during their 80-run triumph over Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). WATCH: Do not mess with MSD's gloves ð¨ð¨ Full video here ð¹ð¹https://t.co/sMOfRRfxfu #CSK pic.twitter.com/KXtcTcxbca — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 1, 2019 Hosting Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chepauk, Chennai amassed a competitive total of 179 runs - that had Dhoni's 22-ball 44 stamping his authority. In reply, the visitors were bundled out for a mere 99 runs following the spin wizardry of Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja who were supported by Dhoni's ninja-like moves behind the stumps. Following their emphatic win which helped them improve their Net Run-rate (NRR), Dhoni spoke about a number of things during the post-match press conference, but like a true leader, he reserved the final part of his victory speech for the CSK fans, who were closely listening to him at the Chepauk stadium. The name #Thala is very special and I'm thankful to the fans for the love bestowed on me ð pic.twitter.com/ZN9VTUe0vM — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 1, 2019 Paying an emotional tribute to the CSK fans, Dhoni said: "I have always said it's very special to get that kind of a nickname. It's a big nickname that they have given me. It feels really special. I didn't realise that it was part of the first CSK song. The way I got accepted and the whole of Tamil Nadu - whenever they see me they don't call my name, they call me 'Thala'. It feels very special and they have always supported not only me but the whole team," Dhoni said at the post-match presentation ceremony. The @ChennaiIPL thanking their fans at the #AnbuDen ðð with a victory lap. pic.twitter.com/SRlFHSTzSk — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 1, 2019 If Dhoni's kind words enthralled the fans inside the stadium, his post-match lap of the ground where he distributed autographed tennis balls and T-shirts to the crowd, further had everyone singing his praise. Since it was CSK's last home game this season, the gesture was aimed at thanking the fans for their support. After marking a sensational return last year, Dhoni-led Chennai have arguably been the team to beat in the tournament as they continue to take big strides towards successfully defending their title this season.
  10. We keep reviewing smartphones almost every week but sometimes, a new tablet comes along that gets us excited. The iPad Pro is one of our favourite gadgets of 2018 and in fact, we typed this very review on it. Having said that, not everyone needs such a powerful and big screened tablet; especially in India where more than half the urban population is on the move. Apple recently launched the new iPad Mini 5 and we got our hands on the small tablet to see what all it can do. We've used Android tablets in the past but none of them even come to close Apple's offering when it comes to performance. Our experience has largely been “meh.” Android tablets are often powered by less powerful chipsets or do not offer a great screen for content viewing. Some of them lack proper software updates or outright don't work as intended. Having said that, there are a few Samsung tablets we love but Apple's iPad series is where the buck stops. So, here's our review of the new iPad Mini and what we think about the new tablet. Design & Display © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The New iPad Mini 5 doesn't look too different from its predecessor as it looks nearly identical from the iPad 4 from 2015. It's got the same massive bezels, a 7.9-inch Retina screen and a new back design similar to the iPad Pro from 2017. We would have loved to see an almost all-screen design like on the iPad Pro from last year and give it the modern aesthetic we all expected. The display, on the other hand, has slight upgrades as it now supports True Tone technology, has a 25 per cent higher colour gamut and is 25 per cent brighter. The iPad Mini has a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels but does not have ProMotion features like the iPad Pro where it can adjust the refresh rate automatically depending on what you are doing. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The iPad Mini comes with stereo speakers at the bottom which are loud enough for watching movies or TV shows. Having said that, if you want more privacy or don't want to disturb the people around you, the iPad Mini 5 comes with a 3.55 mm headphone jack. You can even pair the new iPad Mini with AirPods seamlessly which is a first for the iPad Mini. The smaller iPad design is probably the star attraction here as it fits in the palm of your hand perfectly. The iPad Mini's size is probably the one feature that makes it the most versatile gadget from Apple's entire portfolio. The screen is large enough to enjoy video content, gaming and is perfect to even use it as an e-book reader. The small sizes iPad Mini is a favourite amongst users for these various reasons. However, with new services like Apple Arcade and Apple TV Plus on the horizon, you really want to invest in an iPad that can handle everything you throw at it. We shall talk about it more in the performance section in detail and what a powerful chipset can imply for the future of iPads. Performance The iPad Mini 5 is powered by an A12 Bionic chip with Neural Engine that amps up the performance with faster computing power and graphics processing over the A8 chip. This means that the iPad Mini 5 also supports augmented reality features which come in handy when you want to do something educational or measure objects. You can even play AR games such as Angry Birds with other iOS devices that support AR. The iPad Mini comes in two models with 64GB or 256 GB of internal storage. Depending on your needs, you can get the appropriate storage variant. The battery life on the iPad Mini 5 also works as advertised. During our testing, the iPad Mini 5 managed to last over 10 hours with constant use. We used the iPad mini to watch TV shows, play games like Fortnite and a lot of internet browsing. © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The iPad Mini 5 comes with iOS 12 out of the box and some new features that were missing in the previous generation. For starters, you can now run two apps at once in either the Slide Over or Split View. IOS 12 also works in tandem with the A12 Bionic processor to offer optimum performance which was quite evident when we were gaming. The iPad Mini 5 also now supports the first generation Apple Pencil which is a great new addition for people who like to take notes, sign documents or draw the go. The iPad Mini 5 is now officially a full-fledged tablet that has a place of its own in Apple's portfolio. The A12 Bionic Processor is already a powerful processor that also powers the iPhone XS and XS Max. The A12 is the fastest processor in the market right now and has some major advantages when it comes to the device's future. The A12 Bionic processor is also very powerful when it comes to running games and the iPad Mini 5 will be vital for Apple Arcade when it launches. For example, the A12 Bionic chip can give consoles like the Nintendo Switch a run for its money. Being a highly portable device, the iPad Mini is essential for capturing those markets. The A12 can already run some console level games; at least the ones you see on Nintendo Switch. The sheer size on the iPad Mini will offer a better gaming experience than any smartphone or even the Nintendo Switch. The display quality, a powerful chipset and a massive library of games all work in favour of the iPad Mini. Cameras The iPad Mini does come with cameras on both the front and the back but we wouldn't use them for taking proper images. We would recommend you use the smartphone in your pocket as it would be able to deliver a better image. Having said that, the iPad Mini does have an 8-megapixel, f/2.4 camera at the back that can take good enough pictures. You can use the iPad Mini 5 to scan documents, take pictures of daily objects etc. The iPad Mini 5 has a 7-megapixel selfie camera but does not have support for portrait selfies, unlike the iPad Pro. However, the front camera is awesome for making video FaceTime calls and take general selfies. The Final Say © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The iPad Mini 5 is probably the only tablet that caters for people who are looking for performance and portability. The small tablet market right now is not up to the mark as Android-based tablets are often outfitted with weak processors and mediocre screens. The iPad Mini 5 easily fills that gap and offers the full iOS experience you've come to expect from Apple devices. The iPad Mini 5 has a great display and offers new augmented reality features never seen on an iPad Mini before. With services like Apple Arcade on the horizon, the iPad Mini 5 is the right investment right now. It's Apple's most versatile device that offers everything from productivity to entertainment. The iPad Mini 5 retails in India for Rs 34,900 (Cellular) and Rs 45,900 (Wi-Fi + Cellular) which could be considered expensive for India but the advantages it offers offsets the cost entirely.
  11. The long weekend is here and in case you're not doing anything, just being a couch potato, nursing bad health or loaded with work which barred you from leaving town, then my guess is that like most of us, binge-watching will be the only plan you'll have. Here are 5 interesting suggestions for you for this weekend: 1. Hanna- This drama series follows a 15-year-old girl, Hanna who is being hunted down by a CIA agent. This dark show could be a good binge watch for you! 2. The OA 2- Brit Marling is back with her brilliance. If you followed Prairie and her friends travelling across dimensions of time in the 1st season and were left shook with what followed, this one is more layered and complicated like something you didn't imagine. 3. McMafia- Nawaz fans already devoured it last year but in case you haven't, this is a good show to binge watch. The BBC drama has Nawaz playing a Mumbai importer, Dilly Mahmood. The series revolves around Alex Goldman who is brought up by Russian exiles. Makes for a good binge watch. 4. Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé- You don't need any more reasons to watch the madness and the sheer dedication that goes behind the planning of a Beyoncé concert. This is basically a testament of her persona, just watch it already. 5. Our Planet- This series explores the wonders of the world in eight parts. This insane project was in the works for over 4 years and was shot in over 50 countries. Just prepare to be mesmerised.
  12. Following a remarkable comeback to the tournament last season, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have continued their fine run in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The MS Dhoni-led brigade have won seven out of the eight games they've played so far to go four points clear at the top in the points table. While the Chennai outfit has derived favourable results owing to a collective team effort, Dhoni's success as the one true leader continues to capture the imagination of cricket fans. Arguably one of the most admired and respected cricketers in the world, Dhoni seems to have passed on his leadership skills to daughter Ziva. For a four-year-old, Ziva has already tasted stardom owing to her cute videos that continue to throng social media. But, more recently, her understanding of the fast-paced world around her has left everyone in awe. The youngster was seen correcting Bravo after he was seen wearing the CSK cap backwards - something that had earlier instigated Sunil Gavaskar to slam the likes of Fakhar Zaman and Dinesh Karthik for disrespecting the national cap. After recording their first win at the Eden Gardens since 2013, Dhoni-led Chennai will be eager to continue their fine form when they visit the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 17th April.
  13. 'Game Of Thrones' has a cult following for a lot of reasons. One of which is the fact that the show has stellar costumes that look authentic to the timeline they shoot in. However, wearing such context-heavy costumes comes at a heavy price. Sometimes, the fabric or the design was so uncomfortable that the actors could do nothing but sit through long and tiresome shooting hours. Maisie Williams, in a recent interview with a leading publication revealed that the prep for 'Game Of Thrones', aside from the strenuous shooting in extremely cold locations, also had to deal with uncomfortable straps and bellies. For Maisie Williams, as Arya Stark in the initial few seasons, had to wear a strap across her chest to hide her breasts. At 15, while normal teenage girls had crushes and an awkward teenage life, Maisie Williams had to wear a strap and hide her breasts for long shoot hours as her character Arya, was pretending to be a boy in the series. And after the strap stopped working, Maisie Williams had to wear a "chubby belly" to "even out the playing field" so no one( other characters) would suspect her a girl on the show. © HBO It was only in the sixth season that the costume designers decided to let Arya grow on the show so they gave a bra to Maisie Williams as a part of the costume. This made the costume in general so much more comfortable for Maisie Williams.
  14. Jim Sarbh is the king of quirk, and no, we're not referring only to his choice of roles. When it comes to matters of style and fashion, the man is as non-mainstream as his roles are. Right from rocking gender-fluid ensembles to wearing clothes that manage to steal the collective thunder of the entire Bollywood. His latest avatar, however, is something we have never seen before. Take a look. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal Jim is legit looking like an edgy Indian king, wearing statement sherwanis by Shantanu & Nikhil. The fact that they can look super conspicuous in spite of that, in terms of sheer design elements, is noteworthy. © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal © Instagram/Jimsarbhforreal Modern Indian grooms can definitely take a leaf out of Jim's book when it comes to standing apart, as opposed to opting for the same old tried and tested outfits. Along with his exploits with the bat, the West Indian made sure that he contributed with the ball also (1 wicket). Despite all the hard-work though, KKR ended up on the losing side as they fell short in the super over by three runs. Looking forward to continuing his blistering performances for KKR, Russell sits on the third spot in the race of the orange cap, following David Warner and Johnny Bairstow of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
  16. Fast charging has grown to become one of the most popular smartphone features lately. OnePlus started off the whole fast-charging fad with its 'Dash Charge' (now called Warp Charge) technology. And now, Huawei has 40W SuperCharge and Oppo has 50W SuperVOOC. Now, it looks like Xiaomi is also looking to enter the race with an incredible 100W fast charging technology. Yesterday, the company gave us our first glimpse of its new charging tech dubbed “Super Charge Turbo”. There's still a lot that we don't know about this new charging tech, but Xiaomi's co-founder and President Lin Bin has shared a video of its new technology in action. And guess what? It's looks absolutely insane! Just check this out - As you can see in the video, Xiaomi's new technology can charge a 4,000 mAh battery from 0-percent to 50-percent in just 7 minutes. If you think that's insane, then wait till you hear that leaving the phone on charge for an extra 10 minutes can bring the charge up to 100-percent. So essentially, you can fully charge a smartphone with 4,000 mAh battery in just 17-minutes. In comparison, Oppo's 50W SuperVOOC charging technology is capable of charging a smaller 3,700 mAh battery only up to 65-percent in 17 minutes. Of course, it's still miles ahead of a lot of smartphones on the market, but Xiaomi's new tech is on an other level. © YouTube Well, that's all for now. A certain Xiaomi smartphone that's launching as early as tomorrow is said to support this incredibly fast charging tech, so we hope to learn more about it very soon.
  17. Chennai Super Kings is literally the 'king' of this league as they have won three titles out of the ten seasons they have played. Despite being off the tournament for two years, CSK made an epic comeback by winning the last season with some prolific performances. Keeping their core team intact, CSK has been one of the most lethal sides in the Indian Premier League. A fact to back our statement is that CSK has made to the playoffs in all the ten seasons they have played. The MS Dhoni-led side has been cool as ever and is renowned for making some dramatic comeback with players like Bravo and Watson who can snatch the game away from you anytime they want. Despite the star-studded squad CSK have, here are our top five key players who can help them lift the title for record 4th time: 1. MS Dhoni © Instagram The most beloved player of the CSK squad, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, topping our list would come as no surprise because we all know the importance this man holds in the team. He is the most calm and clever captain you'll find on the cricket ground. His insane tactics and game-changing abilities make him the most threatening player in the squad. Equipped with his helicopter shot, MSD has every knowledge of when to strike and when to become an anchor for the team. Having the core team he requires, Captain Cool will surely give it all to win his fourth title. 2. Suresh Raina © Instagram Making a comeback in the big scene, Suresh Raina is definitely a player to look out for in this year's IPL. The leading run scorer in the IPL, Raina had a pretty decent season last year where he scored 445 runs (including four 50+ scores) in 15 innings with a strike rate of 132.44 Since then, he has been out of international cricket, firstly because of injury and later because of poor form. But he still is one of the most dangerous batsmen if he starts firing. Looking forward to rebooting his career with the IPL glory, Raina will do anything asked for to prove his worth. 3. Shane Watson © BCCI The most reliable overseas player in the CSK side would be none other than Shane Watson. Brilliant with the bat and handy with the ball, Watson ticks two crucial boxes in the team's side. Scoring massive 555 runs in 15 innings, the Aussie star has proved his worth time and again. Apart from his batting prowess, Watto will also provide an extra bowling option to Chennai in crunch situations. Adding to it, his precision with the medium bowling not only gives them an extra option but will also provide them helps them to cover the quota of four overs but also to get a crucial breakthrough at times. With that, he brings experience to the side which is certainly a boost for the younger players' confidence. 4. Imran Tahir © Instagram Another star performer of the CSK side is their South African leggie, Imran Tahir. Getting to bowl all the four overs in every match, Tahir plays an important role in CSK's win counts. One of the most experienced bowlers in the side, Tahir surely instils a whole lot of confidence in the team, both on and off the field. Though he got to play just six matches last season, we hope we get to see him in action more often so that he can prove his metal to the world. 5. Ambati Rayudu © Instagram The top run scorer in IPL 2018 journey for CSK, Ambati Rayudu is all set to own the yellow jersey once again. Having a mammoth total of 602 runs (comprising of a century) in 16 innings, Rayudu has already proven why he should be retained. Another important task for Rayudu would be to cement his place in the World Cup squad by performing well in the season. Having a robust last season, a whole lot will be dependent on him as the season passes through.
  18. ADMIN

    Chennai Super Kings

One of the most popular and celebrated T20 franchises across the globe, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) needs no introduction in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The yellow brigade began their journey with a runners-up finish in the inaugural edition of the tournament. The next edition saw them reaching the Play-offs, but a title triumph was still nowhere in sight. Their hunt for the elusive IPL title finally came to an end in 2010 when they defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 22 runs at the DY Patil stadium. The following year saw MS Dhoni-led brigade doubling their IPL title count as they broke the hearts of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans after securing a 58-run win in the summit clash. With two titles in as many years, Chennai looked unstoppable when they reached the IPL final in 2012. But, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) denied Chennai a hat-trick of IPL titles after defeating them by five-wickets at the MA Chidambaram stadium. The 2013 & 2015 editions saw Chennai reaching the final, but, on both occasions, a triumphant Mumbai extended their wait for a third title. If heartbreaks in the finals weren't enough, Chennai reached an all-time low after getting suspended for two years in lieu of the spot-fixing scandal. But, for a team that saw their arch-rivals, Mumbai extend their IPL title triumphs to three in 2017, Chennai made a roaring comeback last season, getting the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede stadium. © BCCL In a bid to successfully defend their title this season, Chennai shelled out Rs 5.2 crore at the 2019 IPL Auctions. With their core already players retained, Chennai was probably the least active franchise at the auctions, securing the services of just two cricketers - Mohit Sharma (Rs 5 cr) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (Rs 20 lakh). In Faf du Plessis, Shane Watson and Suresh Raina, Chennai undoubtedly have one of the most reliable top-orders in the competition. Watson had the opposition bowlers running for cover last season, slamming 555 runs at an average of 39.64. It was the flying starts given by their openers that allowed Chennai to go past 200-run total on four occasions - most by any team last season. The middle-order appears as solid as their top, with the likes of Ambati Rayudu, Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo bolstering them. Rayudu, in particular, looked in ominous form last season, scoring 602 runs in 16 matches at a healthy average of 43. He also had a hundred and three fifties to his name last season. © BCCL The likes of Mohit Sharma, Lungi Ngidi, Shardul Thakur, David Willey and Deepak Chahar look potent to add teeth to their pace attack, while the all-round options in Watson and Bravo should cover for them as a contingency plan in the middle. Chennai also have some options in the spin-bowling department, with Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja and Karn Sharma in fray. For a team that was mocked for signing old-aged players last season, Chennai made the critics eat their own words by pulling off a dream title-winning comeback. And, going into the twelfth edition, Chennai will be eager to carry on their winning momentum as they chase a record fourth title this year. Squad: MS Dhoni (c/wk), Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Faf du Plessis, Harbhajan Singh, Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson, Kedar Jadhav, Ambati Rayudu, Deepak Chahar, KM Asif, Lungi Ngidi, Dhruv Shorey, Murali Vijay, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sam Billings, Monu Kumar, Chaitanya Bishnoi, Imran Tahir, Karn Sharma, Shardul Thakur, Narayan Jagadeesan, Mitchell Santner, Mohit Sharma, Shardul Thakur, David Willey.
  19. Probably one of the most hardworking and well respected members of the Indian and international cricket fraternity, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was one of the athletes who was kept in the spotlight for the infamous spot-fixing incident that took place in 2013. The event rose to actor Vindu Dara Singh and the Chennai Super Kings leader Gurunath Meiyappan being arrested by the Mumbai Police on alleged betting rows and maintaining close contact with the bookies. During the investigation, a lot of players were interrogated and pressurised to break, in order to come out with the truth. “The team was involved, I was accused too. It was a tough phase for all of us,” said a very serious MS Dhoni in the trailer for 'Roar of the Lion', a Hotstar documentary. “Fans felt that the punishment was harsh. Coming back was an emotional moment and I have always said, what doesn't kill you makes you strong.” In 2017, a committee established by Justice Mukul Mudgal surfaced a report which basically describes Dhoni's willingness to play according to the demands of the bookies against a match against the Rajasthan Royals. © India Today “The biggest crime that I can commit is not a murder, it is actually match fixing,” said the former Indian skipper. Trailer out. pic.twitter.com/nkWpV1EPnl — Hotstar Specials (@HotstarSpecials) March 10, 2019 When Meiyappan was found guilty of the crimes, the entire Chennai Super Kings franchise was barred from competition for two years, keeping the then two-time IPL champs away from the league in 2016 and 2017. During the span of two years, MSD was bought by the brand new franchise, Rising Pune Supergiant in 2016. While the franchise came seventh amongst eight teams that year, they succeeded to make it to the final the next season, only to lose to Rohit Sharma and the Mumbai Indians. After the ban on CSK was lifted the next season in 2018, Dhoni retained his 'Thala' status as he, along with Suresh Raina, got the city of Chennai their third IPL title.
  20. Diljit Dosanjh is probably the only other fashionista in the country who can give Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar a solid run for their money when it comes to maximalism. His raw, rustic appeal is a perfect contrast against the hypebeast appeal his clothes exude. His wardrobe can legit be used as a fashion masterclass when it comes to brand-spotting, and some of them are super expensive (duh). Here are 5 pieces that we love, and probably can never afford. 1. The Dapper Dan Necklace From Gucci © Instagram/Diljitdosanjh This one, without a doubt, is Diljit's favourite accessory. 21. Finding the right sized pants is like finding a unicorn. The prospect looks so damn appealing except the chances of spotting one in a lifetime are next to none. But if you are blessed with the knowledge of what works and what to stay away from, you can cut it pretty damn close. Here's a definitive guide that can help you figure out if you're wearing the wrong sized pants. In order to hunt for the right sized pants from the market, here's what you need to keep in mind. So, while you're in the trial room, be on the lookout for pants with: 1. A proper inseam length, A pair of trousers that are neither too short nor too long. A slight break is great, however, a big break definitely means that the pants are too long. © Getty Images 2. Obviously, if they are too loose and baggy, or alternatively skin tight, look for another more appropriate size that fits you well. © Getty Images 3. While wearing the pants, try walking around and jumping to see if the fitting remains snug, also to see if the pants are allowing you to be mobile. A pair of comfortable pants go a long way. 4. Here's a fact: lightweight fabric trousers wrinkle more quickly and look like they do not fit well as opposed to a pair of pants cut from a heavier fabric like wool or tweed fabric that drapes and hangs well and is long lasting. © Getty Images 5. Besides the fit, over the course of the day, the pants will move around. A belt and side-adjusters will help to keep it in place, but only a pair of suspenders can guarantee a great fit all day long. © Getty Images Here are other things you should look out for in the fitting of your pants: 6. If you see wrinkles like these, your pants are too tight in the crotch area. Have the seat seam opened up in case you have enough fabric reserved. © MensXP 7. When you sit, if you end up with bunching rolls of fabric in the fly area and lap and feel there is too much material in this area, consult with an alterations tailor. © MensXP 8. If you can see these wrinkles in pants, chances are the pants were not adjusted properly for him. You may also see that the trousers may cling to the wearer's legs in the back. This definitely signals that you need to wear the right size. © MensXP 9. The reason for the creases is tightness in the seat seam. It has to be let out and reshaped with a heavy iron. Also, it could be your suspenders/braces pulling too hard. Loosen them a little first to see if that fixes the issue. © MensXP 10. A horseshoe fold takes place if the underside of the trouser is cut too close to the wearer's thigh. Diagonal creases on the inside of your thighs and your pants that stick to the calves are also visible. In such a scenario, you need more length in the front of the trouser, in order for the back to look normal. © MensXP 11. If you see wrinkles when you are seated, chances are your pants have the wearer in the area of the knee when walking. You will definitely have to consult a good alterations tailor. © MensXP 12. If you get creases that start in the crotch area and continue vertically left and right, the trousers are definitely too big for you. Have them adjusted in the seat, crotch and side seams. © MensXP
