  1. Remember the time when the most bizarre thing Elon Musk had ever done was send a freaking car to space? Yes, that is still so cool and memorable but it feels like everything Elon has done since then has been an attempt to outdo himself. Wait, maybe I am on to something, a new conspiracy theory. It seems like the only solution for his outright bizarre and unexpected behaviour, especially on Twitter these past few months. He's been busy smoking pot live on a podcast, becoming a meme because of that, asking people to send him their 'dankest' meme, fanboying over Ranveer Singh and 'Bajirao Mastani', and now he's apparently a SoundCloud rapper. The term SoundCloud rapper is basically a meme now and since Elon is slowly turning his entire existence into a meme, this seemed like the next logical step for him. On 30th March, he dropped his hot new single 'RIP Harambe' and tweeted the SoundCloud link to his millions of followers. Isn't it a little too late to pay your respects to Harambe the gorilla who was shot and killed by a zoo worker when a three-year-old boy wandered into his enclosure? Better late than never, I guess. Emo G Recordshttps://t.co/zsuB2NDl48 pic.twitter.com/anVkKeFMGr — Jung Musk (@elonmusk) March 30, 2019 If the reference to one of the biggest memes in the recent internet history wasn't enough, he also called his record label Emo G Records. The song is actually as weird - and autotuned - as you would've imagined. But, soon after dropping the song, he had a crushing realization - his record label, Emo G Records, failed because of some other emoji. I'm disappointed that my record label failed — Jung Musk (@elonmusk) March 30, 2019 Who would've thought? Duck emoji defeats Emo G Records. Crushing victory. — Jung Musk (@elonmusk) March 30, 2019 Btw, here's some context. Just look at the number of retweets and likes and compare to the song link. 𦠗 Jung Musk (@elonmusk) March 30, 2019 I feel like he's more proud of this than anything he's ever done for Tesla and SpaceX. Making The Onion articles real …https://t.co/O7855d9BWu — Jung Musk (@elonmusk) April 1, 2019 He did get the response that song deserved, obviously. What even is that gif? pic.twitter.com/7Fx6oBm2z1 — Chotto Matte â (@noty0boii) March 30, 2019 He's getting more dank memes now. pic.twitter.com/qVkyCTdt44 — ðï¸ (@trashydrakefan) March 30, 2019 No idea. pic.twitter.com/2jDNGZEtYd — â¡Maria Nâ¡ (@x_RiaMaria_x) March 30, 2019
  2. After weeks of teasers, Tesla has finally shown the public its new Model Y crossover vehicle at the Tesla Design Studio in Hawthorne, California. The vehicle is based on the core design of the Model 3 sedan, but with a larger body, and a third row, for seating for up to 7 people. It's technically a crossover that has a tall body sitting on a basic car platform. Elon Musk had previously confirmed that Tesla's baby SUV will share up to 75 percent of its components with the recently-launched Model 3 saloon, including the platform. © Tesla “It has the functionality of an SUV, but it will ride like a sports car,” Musk said. “So this thing will be really tight on corners,” Tesla says it has a drag coefficient of 0.23, making it more streamlined than a Toyota Prius. This, in turn, helps in increasing efficiency. Musk devoted only five minutes of his 34-minute presentation to the new SUV. He spent the rest of the time recounting Tesla's rise and recent history. © Twitter / @sokane1 Most of the Model Y's interior is lifted from Model 3. Features include a minimalist dashboard devoid of physical buttons, a panoramic glass roof, a wireless smartphone charger, and an enormous 15-inch centre-mounted infotainment screen. The popular "Falcon Wing" doors of the Model X have been skipped though, our guess is to keep costs low. The base Model Y ("Standard Range") starts at US$ 39,000 (Rs 26,95,000), accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and can travel 230 miles (370 km) on a single charge. It will be the last version available, starting deliveries in spring 2021. © Tesla The Long Range model starts at US$ 47,000 (Rs 32,48,000) and can go up to 300 miles (482 km) on a single charge. The Dual Motor AWD variant will cost US$ 51,000 (Rs 35,24,000) and travel 280 miles (450 km). Lastly, the Performance option starts at US$ 60,000 (Rs 41,46,000) and can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds with a range of 280 miles (450 km). Delivery of the three shall start from the fall of 2020. © Tesla Customers increasingly want taller vehicles that are easier to get in and out of and offer flexible storage. The Model Y gets a panoramic sunroof, 66 cubic feet of storage space and a third row for seating up to seven passengers. Musk also expects the car to get a 5-star crash rating and high safety marks, making it the safest mid-sized SUV till date. According to Tesla, the Model Y is compatible with the company's current Supercharger network of more than 12,000 Superchargers in 36 countries, as well as our new V3 Superchargers which can charge at rates up to 1,000 miles per hour.
  3. Elon Musk is pretty active on Twitter and regularly replies to people who tweet to him, but turns out his replies actually help him make more money as well. Yep, who would've thought that just his reply would encourage someone to buy a Tesla? But it's Elon Musk and anything related to him never fails to surprise us. So, this all started back in October when professional Fortnite player Turner 'Tfue' Tenney tweeted to Elon Musk asking if he can help him get better internet. Pretty normal, right? People tweet to each other all the time. Elon even replied to him. Yes — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 15, 2018 But, turns out that simple 'yes' meant a lot to Tfue and he promised to buy a Tesla just because Elon replied. I mean, Elon is a pretty busy person, of course, so it means a lot to get a reply from him. I'm gonna buy a @Tesla now because you replied ðð» — Tfue (@TTfue) October 15, 2018 Fast forward three months and Tfue has lived up to his tweet from October and has bought a Tesla! This car is incredible ðð» @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/pmUR0v3bNk — Tfue (@TTfue) January 15, 2019 He actually did it! I mean, we all know it's a great car and Tfue was probably planning on buying it anyway but with the tweets, it became one hell of a story about a car. The best part, though, is that Elon again replied to him! Does this man just live on Twitter? Glad you like it https://t.co/7FbQc0M9M5 — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) January 15, 2019 But, does this second reply mean Tfue has to buy another car? I hope so, just because it'll be so funny. Moreover, this also has the potential to turn into a new innovative sales strategy where Elon can just sell so many cars by just replying to people on Twitter.
  4. The Tesla Roadster that Elon Musk launched a few months ago, has now crossed Mars after travelling in deep space for 8 months. The roadster was launched on a Falcon Heavy in February, has made its way beyond Mars and is now going to get back on its current path. © Twitter The mission was sent using Musk's personal Tesla into space with a spacesuit-equipped dummy in the driver's seat and David Bowie's "Space Oddity" playing on loop. The car also has a 5D quartz storage device that can withstand the harsh environment of space. According to WhereIsRoadster.com, the car is currently around 179 million miles from Earth and is moving at a pace of 35,000 mph. The test flight of the Falcon Heavy marked the start of the world's most powerful rocket and it has the ability to send a 140,700-pound payload into low Earth orbit. © YouTube The Roadster will come within a few hundred kilometres of our planet in 2091, as it has resumed its current path to orbit the Sun. SpaceX used the roadster for the test payload in part, because they deemed it fun. As part of NASA's Commercial Crew program, SpaceX will be sending astronauts to the International Space Station. Next stop, the restaurant at the end of the universe. pic.twitter.com/Ty5m8IjJpE — SpaceX (@SpaceX) November 3, 2018 In the future, SpaceX will be using the Falcon Heavy to send larger satellites into Earth's orbit and on missions to Mars. The second test launch of the rocker is scheduled for 2019 and the payload is currently not known. "Starman's current location. Next stop, the restaurant at the end of the universe," SpaceX wrote on Twitter, referring to the second book in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
  5. This is probably the weirdest smartphone leak we've come across in 2018 and what you're about to hear is probably going to be baffling. The phone in question is probably Tesla's new offering or more like accessories for the phone. Tesla at the moment has been facing numerous issues and they range from Elon Musk ranting on Twitter to a falling stock price because of low sales. We're not even sure why Tesla is about to make a smartphone; however, knowing how Elon Musk functions, it's quite possible someone challenged him. © SlashLeaks The above image was posted on SlashLeaks and to be honest we don't know even know what to expect from the electric car manufacturer. The source has not been mentioned nor any explanations offered for what is pictured above. The above picture basically shows accessories for a smartphone with Tesla's logo on it. What appears to be the front panel of the smartphone is actually a screen protector for a phone that basically screams “I'm an iPhone X clone". It has a notch and narrow bezels just like the iPhone X. The other object in the picture may be a case with an opening on the top left for a dual camera module. The Tesla logo is prominent and in the middle to basically act as an identifier for the brand of the smartphone — you know to distinguish itself from other iPhone X clones. © SlashLeaks The name of the smartphone has also been disclosed and according to sources it is to be called the Tesla Quadra. We're not entirely sure that Tesla even knows how to make a smartphone but we must applaud the company's effort to enter one of the most competitive industries in the world. © Reuters These can also be accessories for an existing smartphone; however, it is highly unlikely as we aren't aware of any smartphone that would fit the screen protector or the case. If Tesla is making its own smartphones, what would be the company's strategy to sell the smartphone? What would be unique about the smartphone that would make people buy a Tesla-branded smartphone? It is also quite possible that this may just be a fake because — China makes anything and everything. It is also quite possible that Tesla may have partnered with an existing smartphone company like Porsche Design partners with Huawei and Lamborghini with OPPO. Whatever it may be, time will tell. 6. One of the greatest inventors there has been in the history of mankind is Nikola Tesla. A born-genius, Tesla gave the modern world its first model of alternating current system. He got over 300 patents throughout his lifetime. His inventions like the famous Tesla coil, the AC motor, and work in the field of wireless lighting, radio and x-rays has been path-breaking. Like all geniuses, the man was not without his eccentricities and suffered from extreme obsessive-compulsive tendencies. We bring you some pearls of wisdom by the man that will fire up the genius in you. 1. Success comes to those who wait. “A new idea must not be judged by its immediate results.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 2. We are a sum total of our experiences. “As I review the events of my past life, I realize how subtle are the influences that shape our destinies.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 3. Most geniuses are loners. “Be alone, that is the secret of invention; Be alone, that is when ideas are born.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 4. Humans need new toys every day. “We crave for new sensations but soon become indifferent to them. The wonders of yesterday are today common occurrences.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 5. The most memorable words from the genius. “I don't care that they stole my idea. I care that they don't have any of their own.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 6. Word. “My method is different. I do not rush into actual work. When I get an idea I start at once building it up in my imagination. I change the construction, make improvements, and operate the device entirely in my mind.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 7. Insanity and genius have always had a connection. “One has to be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 8. The answers lie within. “Most persons are so absorbed in the contemplation of the outside world that they are wholly oblivious to what is passing on within themselves.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 9. Reality is subjective. “What one man calls God, another calls the laws of physics.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 10. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery. “Marconi is a good fellow. Let him continue. He is using seventeen of my patents.” © Wikimedia Commons/MensXP 11.
