So many wellness brands are proudly launching these oils to accent salad dressings and improve cooking style since they were pronounced as a healthy alternative to refined oils. Let us tell you all about the magic in these potions! The concept of cold-pressed oils isn’t new but the term has recently taken over both wellness and beauty industries by storm. What is Cold-Pressed Oil?The oils that we use for our hair and skin and for cooking are extracted by heating seeds, nuts, fruits and vegetables. During this process, they lose their nutrients. 4. There’s no denying that loafers are one of the most versatile shoes for men, but one can often get confused about whether they should wear loafers with their formals or casuals. If this sounds like a familiar dilemma to you, then read on as we settle the formal vs casual loafers dispute once and for all. What’s The Difference?Loafers started as casual shoes, and over the years have become more stylish and well designed, and have been accepted into the formal shoe world as well. You can pair them with literally anything in your wardrobe. But that’s not all, they can elevate your casual looks too and also goes perfectly with your formals. Because of their versatile nature, it is unfair to put loafer under a particular category (casual or formal). Nonetheless, here’s a simple classification. Most loafers come in leather or suede upper. The leather loafers are mostly considered formal because of their sophisticated built and looks. The suede loafers exude a more casual or outdoorsy vibe. Let’s get into the details of each of the six types of loafers for men. Pump LoafersThese loafers are strictly formal and should be worn with a tuxedo or formal black suit. They feature a black shiny upper and a low-cut design. Perfect for weddings or strict formal affairs. Definitely not for everyday wear. __ECOMPRODUCT__444__ Horsebit LoafersUnlike pump loafers for men that can only be worn with a tux or black suit, Horsebit loafers can be paired with any type of formal wear. These loafers are considered more dressy than the rest, however, they can also be teamed with semi-formals and smart casuals. __ECOMPRODUCT__445__ Penny LoafersSome fashion gurus might not agree on penny loafers falling after Horsebit loafers on the formality scale, however, we believe that it depends on the material you choose. The leather ones definitely exude a formal demeanor, but suede loafers which are quite the style demand these days have more of a casual vibe. __ECOMPRODUCT__446__ Belgian LoafersOriginally, Belgian loafers were made for indoor use as slippers. But after the makeover into a dressy alternative, Belgian loafers can now elevate your casual outfits and make the perfect pair to your formals. These loafers come in premium soft-sole which makes it an ideal choice for everyday wear. __ECOMPRODUCT__447__ Tassel LoafersTassel loafers may fall at the end of the spectrum, but they are the most versatile of all. It might not be a wise choice for a black-tie event, but you can pair them with casuals, semi-formals and everything in-between. __ECOMPRODUCT__448__ Slipper LoafersSlipper loafers are closest to the original incarnation of loafers. After their makeover from casual to formal, they were considered strictly formal and worn with suits and tuxedos. However, the fad faded quickly. Now slipper loafers are seen with mostly chinos and shorts. These loafers feature suede or velvet upper which makes them casual in appearance. __ECOMPRODUCT__449__ BottomlineLoafers for men are growing in popularity and there are many designs and variations available now. And we can’t say enough that they are the most versatile shoes out there. Formal or casual, loafers can give a classy and stylish touch to your look. However, while thinking formals it wise to go for leather loafers for men. For casuals, you can experiment with any style, design, or pattern according to your mood and fancy. 5. Call him over the top, but Ranveer Singh is one actor who never shies away from showing off his sartorial choices. Be it with his most bizarre outfits or hairstyles, the actor knows how to turn heads with his eccentric and wacky fashion sense. With such choices, there's constant criticism but Ranveer owns up every time and pulls off versatile outfits with elan. © Instagram/Ranveer Singh His abundant energy is not just seen in Red carpet outfits or promotional events, but he dons the dramatic avatar, even when he is at the airport. While comfort and style often go hand in hand, Ranveer usually picks outfits that make a statement - case in point, his recent airport appearance, where he was seen in a rather swell outfit. Let's take a look at it in detail. © Viral Bhayani Dressed from head-to-toe in comfortable yet a head-turning outfit, Ranveer's choice of wearing a black T-shirt with baggy pants, added a contemporary appeal. To make it look more eccentric, he further accessorised his T-shirt with a fanny pack from Fendi. The monogram detailing of the bag took the whole aesthetic of his outfit a notch higher. © Viral Bhayani With that being said, there's one aspect of the outfit, that's quite interesting. Ranveer's flared pants are unlike anything we have seen in the past. These pants have denim curtains, which we reckon is quite a quirky choice. If we were to dissect the style of these pants, they score high on unconventional fashion. The light wash and the baggy silhouette of these pants along with denim cutout in between make it a versatile addition. © Viral Bhayani To finish this suave look, Ranveer pulled off the man bun really well and of course the mask game, since we are in a pandemic right now. This outfit also paired well with Deepika's ensemble as she was seen wearing almost a similar outfit with a baggy T-shirt coupled with flared pants and a fanny pack. Even though these pants might appear strange at first, we have to say Baba pulled it off. © Viral Bhayani View the full article
  6. We have been in quarantine for more than four months now. While it is easy to assume that the sleeping habits, along with stress levels might have improved, it's actually the opposite of all that. The modern maladies are so harsh that the side effects have started showing in our daily lives. Irregular sleeping pattern and staring at the screen of our gadgets for too long, has not just made our lifestyle worse but has also enhanced the risk of dark circles. © iStock Dark circles are one of the most infuriating skin problems that happen due to irregular sleeping patterns. While most of us assumed that this phase would be a blessing, it has actually turned our life upside down. But, if we look at the brighter side, we can curb down the chances of the dark circles from advancing any further. Let's take a look at how. 1. Cold Compress © iStock A lot of people underestimate the power of a good cold compress but it's actually quite helpful for dark circles. Use a cold compress for at least 10 minutes in the morning and evening or better yet, if you have a mask, keep it in the refrigerator and use it around your dark circles. You can also give your under-eye area a good scrub, at least twice a week. 2. Massage © iStock One of the easiest home remedies to lessen the dark circles is massaging your under eyes with oils. As we all know that coconut oil is a product that majorly helps deal with many skin problems, mixing it with some almond oil and using it for dark circles, has also proven to be quite beneficial. Mix the two ingredients and massage it gently in a circular motion and leave it for about an hour. Do this every day to see the results. 3. Use Aloe Vera Gel © iStock Aloe vera is easily accessible and it has several benefits for your skin as well. Since it includes anti-inflammatory properties and moisturises the skin, consider massaging the bags under your eyes with its gel. Do this before you go to bed and leave it on for at least 10 minutes. Use a clean cotton pad, to clear off the gel. This home remedy is known to have natural healing power and it gradually reduces the appearance of dark circles. 4. Herbal Teas © iStock We are all aware of the vagaries of consuming too much sugar, in tea or coffee. But if you also happen to drink herbal teas, the next time you have it, don't throw the used bags. They can be refrigerated and used on your eyes as an eye massager. In this case, chamomile or green tea bags, have proven to lighten the under eye area. 5. Using Tomatoes As A Toner © iStock A study of 2012 showed that the tomatoes include phytochemical lycopene, which helps treat dark circles. The natural healing mixture of tomato juice with equal parts of lemon juice works really well on the skin. Take this solution and apply it under your eyes and keep it on for at least 10 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and try it at least thrice a week. View the full article
  7. Stress isn’t good for health in general, but it gets especially annoying when it starts to show up on your hair. Apart from messing with your heart health, stress shows up through visible and drastic hair loss. All of us suffer from hair fall on a daily basis. But you know that your problem is bigger when your hair doesn’t really grow back at a regular rate. This is the major difference between hair fall and hair loss. Hair fall can be due to many different external reasons like dandruff, weather change, etc. But severe hair loss is due to internal reasons and hormonal changes. Today, we will discuss the most problematic cause of such hair loss - stress. Types Of Hair Loss Due To StressBefore identifying your pattern as hair loss due to stress, you need to know about the 3 major types of stress related hair loss patterns. Telogen Effluvium In this type, high levels of stress forces hair follicles into a resting period. These hair follicles then suddenly start to fall out in numbers larger than 100 strands per day. TrichotillomaniaThis is a type of hair pulling disorder where one literally starts to pull strands of hair under stress and anxiety. This is not limited to hair on the head but also eyebrows, lashes, etc. Alopecia AreataIn this condition, the body’s immune system starts to attack its own hair follicles. This results in bald patches. However, stress is not the only cause of this type of hair loss. Now that we know the three types of hair loss due to stress, let’s go through the many visible signs. These signs are nothing but your body telling you that you need to relax! __ECOMLOOKS__1056__ __ECOMLOOKS__1057__ __ECOMLOOKS__1058__ __ECOMLOOKS__1059__ __ECOMLOOKS__1060__ BottomlineIf you have all these signs, it’s time to visit a doctor. Only a doctor can confirm whether your hair loss is due to stress. Don’t worry, hair loss due to stress can be treated properly as long as you are willing to be patient and learn to manage stress. 8. Nokia, in the early and late 2000s, made some incredible phones with designs that can be described as iconic. We instantly recognise them even if we saw it twenty years later. However, there were some equally cringe phones launched by Nokia that were just an eyesore. While this is our list of the weirdest phones launched by Nokia in the past, do let us know in the comments whether you liked these phones or have suggestions of your own: 1. Nokia 3650 © Wikipedia Commons The Nokia 3650 wasnât particularly an ergonomic phone neither pretty to look at. It was just weird and the phone was supposed to be a âbusinessâ phone as well. It was also very heavy because of the larger battery and had a very weird rounded bottom. The keypad layout is by far the strangest thing weâve seen by Nokia that resembled a rotary landline phone. Using this phone wasn't particularly fun nor easy which makes this phone a part of this list. 2. Nokia 3200 © Youtube_Adria_n Alco_n Z_urawka Yet another phone that had a strange keypad design and awful colours that didnât really appeal to everyone. The keypad was laid out in a square sequence where two buttons were joined together which wasnât a great idea. Thankfully, you could get rid of the weird colours with an interchangeable cover to make the phone look more presentable 3. Nokia 5510 © Wikipedia Commons The Nokia 5510 was meant for people who loved to text and stay connected with their friends and family. It had a QWERTY keyboard that was present all over the phone which, in turn, made it look extremely ugly to look at it. Ergonomically, the phone did not have any grooves or curves for the fingers to rest and was quite heavy to use. Users would also have to hold the phone flat to their face as the ear speaker was placed at the bottom right of the device when holding in landscape mode. 4. Nokia 7600 © Wikipedia Commons The Nokia 7600 was particularly an odd phone by the Finnish company as it didnât really adhere to any phone design. The teardrop-shaped phone was more like a small box and make it impossible to use with one hand. Calling was always difficult and the keypad layout was very unconventional. Nokia definitely missed the mark with this one. 5. Nokia N-Gage © Wikipedia Commons Although weâre big fans of the second iteration of the phone, the original N-Gage was a disaster because the phone design was not completely thought through. The phone was targeted towards Gameboy Advance users who wanted a gaming phone. The odd thing about this phone was that the phone had to be held on its 90-degree edge to make calls that made everyone look like an idiot in public. This led to Nokia redesigning the phone and launching the N-Gage QD later on. View the full article

  11. A lot of celebrities have appeared in cameos in Bollywood movies but we havenât been able to notice them. And we agree that it is difficult to notice faces when they just disappear in a blink. Now, we have a list of celebrities who have done cameo roles in Bollywood films and most of us just missed spotting them in the film. You might want to re-watch these movies again just to find these celebrities in the exact same movie scenes. So, here we go: Ayan Mukerji in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani © Dharma Productions Ayan Mukerji was sitting right next to Ranbir Kapoor in the filmâs scene and we missed it. He was wearing a white shirt and blue denim jeans and the audience couldnât spot him in the film. And again, he played the role of a guest at Aditiâs cocktail night. So, we couldnât spot him twice! John Abraham in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan © Yash Raj Films Now, this was a very short cameo and he played the role of John Abraham in the film as well. But most people thought of him as his âduplicateâ. Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan in Pehla Nasha Not the song, guys! Pehla Nasha was a film released in the year 1993 and it was Ashutosh Gowarikerâs directorial debut. And All the above-mentioned 'Khans' have cameo roles in the film. Shahid Kapoor In Taal © Mukta Arts Shahid Kapoor danced as a background dancer in two films while learning dance from Shiamak Davar. He was in Taal and was also in Dil Toh Pagal Hai and in both the films, the audience skipped noticing him. Nawazuddin Siddiqui In Munna Bhai MBBS © Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films We all know that Nawazuddin Siddiqui struggled during his initial years in Bollywood and he did many small roles in various films. He played the role of a pickpocketer in Munna Bhai MBBS and nobody noticed him back then. He also played the role of a waiter in School, and a small goon in Sarfarosh. 13. At this point in time, we've all probably heard and in fact, grown a strong sense of loathing for Chinese wet markets, notoriously infamous for selling bats, pangolins and a lot of other animals as livestock. However, in a recent turn of events, China has decided to stop slaughtering millions of dogs for meat. China reclassifies dogs as pets, not livestock, in post-virus regulatory push https://t.co/gquUfstNem pic.twitter.com/oB84yUanY2 — Reuters (@Reuters) April 9, 2020 Dog meat has infamously been a delicacy in China, however, earlier this month, the Chinese city of Schenzen had banned dog meat. In fact, the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of China has rejigged the guidelines for 18 animals that were earlier classified as livestock including cattle, pigs, poultry and camels. “As far as dogs are concerned, along with the progress of human civilization and the public concern and love for animal protection, dogs have been 'specialized' to become companion animals, and internationally are not considered to be livestock, and they will not be regulated as livestock in China,” the notice said. © Reuters Moreover, 13 more animals have also been identified as special species which exempts them from being involved in wild animal trading, including reindeer, alpaca, pheasants, ostriches and foxes. Following the coronavirus outbreak that is supposed to have originated from horseshoe bats, China had banned the breeding, trading and consumption of wildlife, and revoked all existing licenses. In fact, it has also promised to look into it and make the ban permanent after the pandemic is over. 10 million dogs are killed in a year in China for meat and this also includes stolen pets. Needless to say, everyone from across the world has hailed the move, while some just couldn't miss the opportunity to take digs at China for being so late in alleviating such regressive norms. 14. Calling Tanishk Bagchi the âBadshahâ of remixes wonât be wrong as he is the one behind taking all the original songs like Tu Cheez Badi or Aankh Marey and making it to something completely different or as we call it in the millennial lingo, âremakesâ. A while ago, he dropped one of his remixes, Masakali 2.0, that features Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. While we all loved the Delhi-6 track, we can not say the same about this one because itâs completely ruined and Tanishk has taken away the essence of the original song which we missed in this one. In one of the interviews, Tanishk had said, âI just want them to understand that the original track is still available for them to listen to. People had forgotten Aankh Marey. But today, every club in the country is playing it. I am just bringing back forgotten hits.â Well, I agree with your argument of bringing golden songs back for the millennials to consume, but who has asked you to take away the whole essence of the original one? Also does bringing back forgotten hits include making us forget the original? Donât you think itâs high time for you to leave remixing old songs and give us some original tracks? There are many songs that you have butchered to death but here are 5 songs which we feel were ruined to death by the composer: 1. Masakali 2.0With Masakali 2.0, heâs added all the elements that have ruined the original song for many listeners and we wonât blame them for sticking to the old version. We were happy listening to the original one till you dropped this âbombâ online today. Remixed Version Original Version 2. Mere Angne MeinThis was nothing but a cringe-fest. Did he not take into account that the original track in Amitabh Bachchan's Laawaris has a separate fan following and obviously have emotions connected to it? Probably he ignored it completely because the end result wasnât that pleasing to the ears. Remixed Version Original Version 3. Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi I am sure the 90s kids would have loved this Falguni Pathak song because we have dreamt about our first crushes through this song in our school days. So, he conveniently decided to ruin that too for us with the Divya Kumar Khosla version. Remixed Version Original Version 4. O Saki SakiWonder what was he thinking before making this one! Even Nora Fatehiâs sexy moves couldnât help this song from its ultimate doom. It was one of the popular chartbusters, thanks to Sanjay Dutt and Koena Mitra, but he clearly didnât think it can backfire. Remixed Version Original Version 5. 17. Since Italy is under complete lock-down because of coronavirus, people are staying united by coming out to their balconies and singing and playing instruments with their neighbours. It's one of the most heart-warming things ever and, of course, those videos went viral because people loved the solidarity among everyone during this global crisis. Well, even desi people tried to recreate that but turns out, imitation may not be the sincerest form of flattery. A video of an apartment building from sec-28, Gurgaon is going around on Twitter and people find it just straight up cringey. Basically, in the video, residents came out to their balconies to sing the Gayatri Mantra and Hum Honge Kamyaab. While all the videos from Italy seemed very natural, the Gurgaon video shows a few women standing at the gate of the society with mics and singing. Italy scenes in Gurgaon! 18. The coronavirus outbreak in the country is gradually sending people into a tizzy, and it might not be long before real panic strikes as the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India sees a steady climb. However, despite having witnessed the havoc coronavirus has wreaked across the globe, if our country is still managing to stand tall, it is because of the unsung heroes who are braving all odds, risking their personal safety and working relentlessly to serve the people and help contain this life-threatening contagion. © Twitter These 7 heroes are godsend and the real saviours during this global pandemic, and without their selfless service, our world would not only come to a scary standstill but perhaps also collapse altogether. 1. Doctors, Nurses & Public Health OfficialsWe couldnât have kicked off this list without these miracle workers who are literally saving lives right now. With 162 countries trying to fight the pandemic, we have heard of enough heroic tales of the doctors and nurses who are literally working straight 8 hour shifts wearing diapers and shaving their heads off to wear the safety gear - just so that their patients find relief. © BCCL For instance, this Indian plastic surgeon who stayed back in China to help the infected victims instead of seeking the safety of his homeland. There are thousands of more such inspiring stories. 2. Armed Forces © Twitter Over 890 Indians have been evacuated by IAF and Air India rescue flights so far. The IAF is also set to rescue Indian nationals from Iran, The Indian armed forces has been doing extensive work not only by opening its bases to serve as quarantine facilities, but also by carrying medical supplies and serving the general public amid the outbreak. 3. Public Transportation Drivers & Conductors © BCCL Remember that Hubli bus conductor who was handing out free masks to passengers? That is just one way these guys have been serving the country. Imagine what would happen if these public transportation drivers went on indefinite leaves? Life really would come to a standstill. 4. Delivery Guys © B P Deepu-EPS With so many people working from home amid the nationwide coronavirus outbreak, and with 80 percent of them being clueless about cooking, a vast majority of people are relying on food delivery services to keep them well fed. But despite the fact that even they have faced a dip in their sales, deliveries are still being made. These men on bikes and cycles risking their safety to deliver food to these less culinarily-endowed (or just too lazy/entitled) people, also deserve a special mention. 5. Security Personnel © BCCL We feel safe because we know they are out there guarding us. Be it our guard bhaiya or the security personnel on the roads and public places who are helping maintain law and decorum at this point, we ought to acknowledge their service especially at a time like this. 6. Shopkeepers & Salespersons © Pixabay We donât often think about it, but imagine how lucky and privileged we are to have people out there who are putting out food on the shelves for us. If the salesperson stopped coming to work and decided to stay home, or if the shopkeepers shut shop, how would we manage to survive the mass quarantines? Quarantines have already taken an ugly face with empty shelves and people crying for basic commodities, imagine living through a complete lockdown like that? 7. Sanitation Workers © BCCL Last but definitely not the least, because all of it will be equally meaningless without these people who are relentlessly going about their job cleaning and sanitising not only our streets, offices and public places, but by also helping sterilise public transport, airports and railway stations therefore playing a vital role in containing the contagion. There is so much we take for granted in our daily lives. There is so much to be grateful for and itâs sad to see that it took something as dreadful as the COVID-19 pandemic to open our eyes and appreciate the efforts of these unsung heroes put in every day of their lives. 19. While locations play a pivotal role in a Bollywood movie, film sets are usually put in place to suit the requirements. However, some filmmakers go that extra mile to suit the aesthetics of a film and scout for locations that match the script. Here are seven college campuses which got very famous after being a part of big bollywood movies. 1. IIM AhmedabadOne of the biggest management institutes in the world might not need a movie to promote it obviously, but before 2 States was shot here, not many of us got a glimpse of how lovely the campus looked. 2. Miranda CollegeIt is one of the most sought-after colleges in DU North Campus and always have the Khalsa College boys do a âgediâ around the gate to get a glimpse of the beautiful ladies who study here. The college was used to shoot big scenes in movies like Fukrey, Band Baaja Baraat and Tanu Weds Manu Returns and more recently Kabir Singh as well. 3. IIMCThe Indian Institute of Mass Communication is THE place for anybody wanting to learn from the best in this industry and launch a career in the media world. Some parts of the Sonam Kapoor-Dhanush starrer Raanjhana were shot in this big campus. 4. IIM BangaloreAnother IIM whose prestige doesnât depend on a movie but after 3 Idiots was shot here, the campus was featured and loved in its full glory. 5. St. Stephenâs CollegeThe campus not only looks like it appears straight from a vintage English novel, but also the reputation of this college is associated with being the crème de la crème of DU. The famous scene from Rockstar where Ranbir confesses his love for Nargis is shot here, amongst other parts of the movie. Also, Half Girlfriend was shot in this campus. 6. Forest Research InstituteWhen Students Of The Year was released, many thought the campus shown in the movie is not in India and obviously anyone would make that innocent claim after looking at the grandeur of the set. However, it is the supremely guarded prestigious campus of the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun. 7. St. Xaviers, Mumbai This famous Mumbai college has been the background of multiple advertisements and movies including Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and Jaaney Tu Ya Jaaney Na. View the full article
  20. No matter what your take is on grooming or putting an effort in how one looks, you simply cannot deny the fact that when you spot those first strands of grey hair, alarm bells start ringing in your mind. So much so, that all you can think of is how quickly you are getting old, and how the relentless march of time is out there to get you. © Instagram/ishabhansali This feeling of helplessness gets even more poignant if you start seeing grey hair in your early twenties. Although it is very natural to start shedding your hair, and start getting grey hair the moment you turn 20, no amount of rationalisation can help you in coming to terms with this. © Instagram/jimsarbhforreal Although most of your grey hair can be attributed to our collective lifestyle, and genetics, there are a few habits that exasperate the situation and speeds up the greying of your hair. Unfortunately, most of these habits are actually hard to get rid off. Luckily though, off-setting these habits arenât that difficult. Here are some habits that are wreaking havoc for your hair and causing excessive greying. 1. Excessive Smoking © iStock You shouldnât be surprised that this is here on the list. Smoking even one or two cigarettes a day causes a chemical imbalance in your body, so imagine what must be going on if you smoke a pack of 20 in one day. The best way to go about it, is to cut your cigarette intake short, and restrict yourself to 4 sticks a day. Pro-Tip: In order to do that, there are a number of psychosomatic tools, that actually inhibit you from smoking. Nicotine gums, nicotine patches, shock rings - all of these are methods that actually well work quite well, in a limited amount of time. 2. Deficiency Of Important Vitamins © iStock Given how everyone nowadays is a fitness freak, chances are that most of us have somewhat of a balanced diet, mainly because of supplements. That being said, there are a few micronutrients and vitamins that get chucked out of your daily meals, especially if youâve come to depend on supplements. If your diet is deficient in any kind of vitamin, whether it is vitamin B-6, B-12, biotin, vitamin D, or vitamin E, youâll start to grey prematurely. Pro-Tip: Add a whole citrusy fruit in one of your meals, preferably in your breakfast. Most citrus fruits have a ton of vitamins and some other essential micronutrients. Also, try catching some sun in the morning. Try jogging in the open, instead of on a treadmill 3. Lack Of Hair Hygiene © iStock We know that hair hygiene is an alien concept for most men. Out of the bliss that comes from ignorance, or whether they simply do not care, men do not invest time or effort when picking a hair shampoo or a conditioner. What makes things even worse, is the fact that some men use a regular bar of soap, or their body washes on their hair. Pro Tip: Talk to a dermatologist, or at the very least, a trained hairdresser to see what kind of hair and scalp do you have, and pick a hair shampoo and conditioner. Also, once you buy them, use them, instead of letting them collect dust in the cabinet. 4. Not Oiling Hair © iStock Oil massages are extremely vital for having great scalp health. No matter what kind of oil do you use, almost all of them have a very balanced nutrient composition that works wonders for your scalp, and therefore your hair. Not getting regular oil massages deprives your scalp of these nutrients. Not having regular oil massages can also lead to fungus building up in your hair, if you also have a habit of not shampooing regularly. Pro Tip: Go for oil massages regularly. Also, to extract the most out of your massages, ensure that the oil is heated a little. You can also add some garlic to the oil when you;r heating it. 5. Using Products That Donât Suit You © iStock The only thing thatâs worse than not using the necessary hair products, is using hair products that do not suit you. If you have brittle hair, using a strong antidandruff shampoo makes no sense. Similarly, going for medicated shampoos and conditioners without consulting a dermatologist can have adverse effects. Pro Tip: Always research thoroughly about your concern and the specific ingredients that you should be on the lookout for, before settling on a product. Also, always consult a dermatologist before going for something herbal or medicated. View the full article

Most men start experiencing some form of hair loss as early as their twenties. 23. When I was a child, my mother used to tell me to not 'disturb' plants at night, as they sleep just like humans do. And I, in my wilful curiosity and kind gesture, would pluck a flower for her from any of the trees and she'd chide me for hurting and causing them pain. At first, I didn't understand how something which seems almost inanimate feel any pain or needs to sleep at all. But as the years passed, and my mother's garden grew in time, I realised that trees and plants have a life and we're only sabotaging it every day for our selfish gains. © Thinkstock When both the plants were under extreme stress, they started emitting ultrasonic frequencies between 20 and 100 kilohertz- not a frequency humans can pick up on without assistance but a volume that could feasibly be detected by some organisms from up to several meters away. The study was conducted and published on the BioRxiv database. When the researchers cut the stems of the tomato plant, the microphone detected it emits 25 ultrasonic distress sounds for an hour or so. On the other hand, when they deprived both tomato and tobacco plants from water, tomato made louder distress calls at 35 ultrasonic distress sounds while tobacco made 11. But the interesting part is that how these plants show different levels of stress depending on the conditions they're subjected to. For example, starving a tomato plant makes it scream more intensely than anything else. "These findings can alter the way we think about the plant kingdom, which has been considered to be almost silent until now," the study group summarised in its conclusion. View the full article

We can't wait to catch Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone back on the big screen again playing one of India's favourite cricketers Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Dev, respectively, in the upcoming movie 83, out in April 2020. The movie will, obviously, focus on Kapil Dev's career and of course the World Cup victory for team India in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. © Reliance Entertainment But we're more fascinated and excited about Deepika and Ranveer's jodi onscreen because it mirrors the fantastic love story of Kapil and Romi and we would love to narrate that to you, because it's so simple and real and a great inspiration for today's generation. Moreover, what today's generation truly needs is a constant reminder of how love should be interpreted and how it's not solely dependent on frivolity and random dating apps, at all times. Both Kapil and Romi are a standing testimony for everlasting love and maybe we can learn a thing or two from their beautiful relationship. © YouTube Romi has always played a huge part in Kapil's cricketing career and has been a famous entrepreneur who's managed to balance out her career with that of her husbands, and has taken care of their home and lives, all at once. Maybe that's why Kapil fell insanely in love with her, upon meeting her for the first time, through a common friend and that's how it all began. They stayed together for a year, romancing each other. Kapil was mesmerised by Romi's beauty and her strong personality and he popped the marriage question exactly a year after being with her. © BCCL The two were on a train when he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Yes, today's wedding proposals are a bit more elaborate, where people are taken to fancy new destinations to propose, but to make a relationship last, it needs a lot more than a fancier dose of initial euphoria. After Romi said yes to Kapil on a moving train, they got married in 1980 and seemed like the happiest couple in love. In 1994, they had a daughter named Amiya, who was born almost 14 years after they got married. the couple has been together for almost 40 years now and it's reflective in the way they've been there for each other. Kapil considers Romi to be his lucky charm since he won the World Cup three years after she came into his life. Kapil had to face tough times in his career but Romi stood by him as fiercely and as strongly as a rock and helped him overcome everything. If anything, we can learn to be there for the ones we love even in their most daunting moments. We can learn to love people without leaving their side when they need us the most and we can also learn to love people a little less frivolously and a little more responsibly. © BCCL As Deepika and Ranveer tell us more about Kapil and Romi's Journey through their film 83, here's wishing both Kapil and Romi a lifetime of happiness and love!
