  1. Every relationship goes through different phases in life and it cannot be sunshine and unicorns all the time. Some days are boring and some days are fun, and well, that's how you create memories. Although, that doesn't mean you get stuck in a typical boring relationship. There are ways to break that monotony and spice things up a little bit. Here is a list of common mistakes that couples commit which lead them to boredom in a relationship. 1. Going with the flow © Unsplash Well, you don't have to always go with the flow. Agreeing to whatever your partner says could be fun at times, but it's also equally important to learn to agree to disagree. Speaking your mind and having opinions are key to a strong relationship. On some days let your partner make the decision, on other days you call the shots. Repetition of a schedule can get monotonous. 2. Not doing your own thing © Unsplash There are days when you just want to be all alone, space out and do your own thing. You cannot keep on doing things together at all times. That's completely alright! However, ensure to communicate this to your partner. For a long-lasting relationship, one needs to also continue doing what they love doing irrespective of what your significant other might think about it. Harmony lies in the balance. 3. Getting way too comfortable © Unsplash Yes, you read that right. Getting comfortable with your partner is important but if you get way too comfortable, it can pull away from the charm you hold in a relationship. Didn't understand? Let me explain. For example, wearing your cool comfy PJs while meeting your girlfriend is acceptable once in a while but not at all times. That'll only show her that you take her for granted. In fact, dressing up for her is even better as this will make you feel good about yourself and she'll feel important too. 4. Focusing on only one side of '***' © Unsplash Physical intimacy is one thing that can keep your bond stronger but if you keep on focusing only on 'orgasm', your *** life will soon become boring, as it is just one aspect of ***. If your complete concentration lies on thinking about how to make that happen, you're going to lose on the fun part. So, rather than just focusing on the end result it is important to spice things up a bit to have fun while you're in that moment. That way, you can easily break the monotony. 5. Letting emotional intimacy slide © Unsplash Not wanting to share your emotions with your partner can also lead to stagnation in a relationship and you don't want that to happen. So, discussing how you feel and what you're going through is paramount as it gives a better understanding of your personality to your partner which makes things easier. All you need in long-term relationships are genuine efforts, that can enable you to keep the relationship going strong and happy. View the full article
  2. The latest Bollywood trend seems to be time-travelling, especially travelling to the past and 'seeing' for ourselves what transpired during some of the most iconic events in Indian history. Bollywood's upcoming film Panipat also happens to be one such attempt at rediscovering the past visually, and truth be told, the Ashutosh Gowarikar directorial looked pretty regal and close-to-reality in the Panipat trailer that recently came out. © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Now, we don't want to sound too harsh, but the only thing that seems less convincing in the entire affair besides Arjun Kapoor's dialogue delivery is Arjun Kapoor himself. Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau almost seems out of place, lacklustre and drab as a Maratha warrior in the era when the Marathas were India's most powerful empire. Set against the backdrop of the historic Third Battle of Panipat, the film traces the journey of Sardar Senapati aka Commander-In-Chief of the Maratha army Sadashivrao Peshwa, and his role in trying to defend his motherland from the notorious Ahmad Shah Abdali of the Durrani Empire. © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions But if not the lead actor, we feel this movie is worth a watch for the performances of these 4 brilliant actors who also star in Panipat. 1. Sanjay Dutt as Ahmad Shah Abdali © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Known to the world as the founder of the Durrani Empire and modern-day Afghanistan, Sanjay Sutt as Abdali looks more than convincing in its attempt to inspire fear and anger all at once. Sanjay Dutt really looks the part as the notorious and ambitious king Abdali. 2. Mohnish Bahl as Nana Sahib Peshwa © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Noted veteran actor Mohnish Bahl will once again be seen on the silver screen and this time, as the most powerful and successful Peshwa the Maratha Empire ever saw. As Nana Sahib Peshwa, Mohnish will be seen making the historic decision to fight Abdali's forces with Sadashiv's strategies. 3. Padmini Kolhapure as Gopikabai © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Wife of Nana Sahib Peshwa, Gopikabai was known to be very religious and orthodox. Padmini Kolhapure is all set to make a comeback to the big screen after a gap of six years. 4. Zeenat Aman as Sakina Begum © Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Yesteryear megastar Zeenat Aman is all set to make a Bollywood comeback with this movie. Though not much is known about her character, it is enough to be able to watch her on the silver screen after so many years. View the full article
  3. When you think of OTT, the two people who top this list have to be Karan Johar and Ranveer Singh. We have hardly seen these two elite B-town celebrities in something minimal and their sartorial moves have set an inspiration for many. Speaking of KJo's outrageous outfits and sneakers, the OG king's flamboyant style is spot on and looks like, it cannot ever be tamed. © Viral Bhayani Recently, KJo took his airport game a notch higher wearing two patterned shirt by 'Dust Of Gods' and his off-white backpack (which BTW is worth Rs. 2,55,966). But he, along with a quirky outfit, dovetails an outlandish pair of sneakers as well. Karan picked a pair that has the word 'Naked' written on it in bold. And since we are talking about KJo here, there's no doubt that these sneakers are yet again an OTT version. © Viral Bhayani © Naked Wolfe © Naked Wolfe Being a fashion aficionado, this filmmaker knows exactly the sort of brands that can easily rev up his personality. This time around, he was spotted in the chunkiest sneakers by Naked Wolfe. This pair comes in a soft and flexible rubber sole. The graffiti print on it has the brand name splashed on it in bold hues and we love how striking it looks due to its design and construction. © Viral Bhayani The original price of these sneakers as per the website is Rs. 20,080 but currently, they are available for just Rs. 14,0550. In case you wish to hoard a pair that's fashionable and quirky, this pair definitely ticks the boxes right. © Viral Bhayani KJo's love for luxury brands is never-ending. Right from his backpacks to his sneakers to his baggy suits, everything that he wears can burn a big hole in our pockets. However, these sneakers are comparatively a bit affordable. We love how your shoes are akin to your personality, Karan. Hats off! View the full article
  4. This weekend, the city of Pune saw thousands of young music enthusiasts pouring in to catch their favourite artists at the 10th edition of the NH7 Weekender - one of Indiaâs biggest music festivals. Many such groups use budget hotel bookings as a way to affordably and conveniently plan their stays - although several of them were in for a rude shock as the festival kicked off this Friday. âI booked this hotel 4 months prior,â explained Simran, a guest of Gurugram-based hotel chain FabHotels. âA lot of people come to Pune for the Weekender so I wanted to plan my stay before the world did so I could book with convenience and within budget. I had a confirmed booking since Day 1 but I still called them on 24th November to double-check. Everything seemed fine. Got an email and a text on 27th with further details about my stay.â The trouble began early this Friday, when customers such as Simran arrived at their hotels, expecting a fresh room to use as a basecamp for a fun, exciting and long-awaited festival. Upon arrival however, FabHotel customers were appalled to find out that their bookings were fraudulently cancelled. Caption: A screenshot taken during what was supposed to be check-in time. Notice how the booking is accepted, then almost immediately cancelled with no intimation. Reminds me of certain cab drivers. âI get to the hotel and turns out it's not a FabHotel anymore. The guy at the reception says I don't have a booking there. They ask me to call Fab, and talk to them.â What ensued was a customer-service nightmare. âFrom noon to around 4:30 in the evening, I constantly keep calling the helpline,â she continues. âThere's a 10-15 minute hold. It connects, and I explain my situation to the executive. He says that my booking was changed and he has shared the updated information with me. I check my email and it's the exact address that was originally shared. I'm obviously furious so I tell him this, and he hangs up on me. I call again. Another 10 mins hold. I connect with another executive and I start from scratch. He is confused so he puts me on hold again. Call drops. I call again. This goes on for 4 hours. Rinse and repeat.â A great number of attendees of the music festival could be seen dragging their suitcases in search of alternative accommodation options. Most of these were expensive due to high demand, forcing customers to spend an extra 50% of what they had previously budgeted - a truly painful cost to incur during the month-end crunch. FabHotels responded by asking customers to âtreat this as an exception.â ââKindly treat this as an exceptionâ is really too much to ask for. Also, this has happened to a bunch of other people so how many exceptions is FabHotel expecting the world to made? I would really like to know,â fumes Simran. FabHotels eventually produced a statement when prompted - although the lack of clarity is telling. âWe disassociate with some of our partners if they do not match up to our quality,â said Anupam Sharma, a representative of FabHotels. When questioned over accommodating the customers who made bookings in advance, FabHotels had no response. However, Stay At Home, a former partner with FabHotels, said that it wasnât a quality issue, but that they did not make payments in time that forced the apartment owners to stop working with the institution. âThey defaulted numerous payments. They were focusing on discounts and not giving us the money in time. We stopped giving them booking about six months ago,â said a service apartment owner. As of now, FabHotels currently advertises âupto 60% offâ its bookings. These issues were primarily concentrated in Viman Nagar, an upscale residential neighbourhood in East Pune which was the prime choice for festival attendees due to its proximity to the venue and its large concentration of hotels. âWe had a group who made an advance payment of Rs 29,000 through FabHotels but we had no idea about it. About 5-6 groups have come to us today,â said a service apartment owner in Viman Nagar. The hospitality industry in India is worth above Rs. 7,000 Cr, 70% of which comprises of budget hotels. Several new chains have sprung up in recent years, such as Oyo and Treebo - both of which have secured millions of dollars in funding from Chinese and Japanese investors. FabHotels themselves have raised Rs. 54 Crore from Goldman Sachs, Accel Partners and Qualcomm earlier this year - although it seems like that money isnât being used responsibly. Caption: FabHotels has recently been pushing on social media marketing - roping in popular influencers to showcase their hotels. âThe least they could do is give us alternate accommodation. Or maybe just not scam people like this? That'd help. You cannot ruin my weekend and ask me to stay fab,â concluded Simran. View the full article
  5. Apple's current-generation iPhones, as we already know, are extremely powerful. When it comes to the performance, there's hardly anything out there that's as powerful as the new iPhones. There are a ton of benchmarks out there to prove the same. And if the new report is something to go by, then it looks like, the next set of iPhones will be more powerful. The report by MacRumors suggests that the iPhone 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max will offer up to 6GB RAM. That's right, the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max both are likely to have 6GB RAM, up from 4GB in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. © Apple Apple is one of the very few companies that has managed to nail OS optimisation. The iPhones work so well with iOS that RAM has never really been an issue. While Android phones have been carrying 6GB and 8GB RAM for a long time now, the 3GB RAM on the iPhone X has been a bottleneck. iPhones have great memory management and we expect them to remain the same, if not get better over time. Now that we're hearing rumours about the next iPhones having up to 6GB of RAM, we think it'll only make them more powerful. Although we don't have an official confirmation yet, we're expecting the RAM to be faster too. That way, the phones won't slow down over an extended period of time since it won't be a bottleneck, to begin with. In addition to that, the new iPhones are also expected to feature rear-facing 3D sensing and mmWave support for higher-performance 5G. And as far as the base model iPhone 12 is concerned, it's said to have 4GB of RAM. © YouTube/ Marques Brownlee Lastly, the report also says that the iPhone SE2 is still in the pipeline and its production is set to begin in February, 2020. All these information come from a reliable source, but we won't know anything for sure until we get any sort of confirmation directly from Apple. View the full article
  6. Humans have wiped out more than 50 percent of earth's wildlife for their selfish needs and the ripple effect of that still carries on. After the last male White Rhino died last year in March, it's now the last Sumatran Rhino in Malaysia. The Sumatran Rhino has become extinct in Malaysia after the last one of the species died of cancer. Now, let's first focus on what the word 'extinction' really means, since we haven't experienced it yet, within our species. 'Extinction' is complete and absolute termination of an organism or a group of organisms or a species, from the face of this earth. This literally means there is no way to evoke a complete species unless of course there is a rare phenomenon such as the 'Lazarus Taxa', where a species presumed extinct, suddenly 'reappears', after a period of long absence. But unfortunately, that's not going to be the case for the Northern White Rhino, unless of course nature performs an absolute miracle! (c)ABC The wildlife department in Eastern Sabah state on Borneo island said the Rhino, named Iman, died of natural causes due to shock in her system. She had uterine tumours since her capture in March 2014. Iman was 25-years old and was suffering from pain due to the growing pressures from the uterine tumour on her bladder, dying sooner than she was expected to, according to department director Augustine Tuuga. Iman's death was announced six months after the death of the country's only male Rhino in Sabah. Efforts to breed the Rhino have been a little futile, but the authorities in Sabah have harvested their cells for possible reproduction. “Despite us knowing that this would happen sooner rather than later, we are so very saddened by this news,” said Sabah Environment Minister Christina Liew. (c)Emma Napper He also added that Iman had escaped death a few times over the last couple of years, due to massive blood loss, but each time the facility managed to nurse her back to health, also obtaining her egg cells for a possible collaboration with Indonesia, to produce the endangered animal species though artificial insemination. (c)USA Today The Sumatran rhino is the only rhino with two horns and the smallest of the rhinoceros species. The species was also fund in India but sadly, its numbers shrunk due to deforestation and poaching. A WWF report states that only 80 are left in the world, mostly concentrated towards Borneo and Sumatra and at the rate at which we're abusing our environment, it wouldn't be long enough till these 80 get extinct too someday! 7. People say "action expresses priorities" and the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation gave a living proof of the same when they announced to buy jute coats for the cows staying in shelters to keep them warm. Well, looks like winter is coming, but only for the cows staying in shelters. It's not for cows or other animals who live on the streets, it's not for the homeless human beings who sleep on the footpath without any warm blanket or coat to cover them. It's not for those poor kids who are at the major risk of dying from cold and hunger. Reuters But, why are we talking about them again? That's not a priority, right? What's important...is to make cow coats. Niraj Shukla, Nagar Nigam Commissioner of Ayodhya, said, "We are in the process of getting the cow coats made. This scheme will be implemented in three-four phases. First, we are starting with Baishingpur cow shelter, which houses around 1,200 cattle including 700 bulls and the rest being cows and calves. We have initially placed order for 100 cow coats for the calves." Reportedly, these cow coats cost somewhere between Rs 250 to 300 each and the first delivery is expected in November. He further said, "Three-layer coats for the calves are being prepared. We have asked for the use of soft clothes for the calves in the innermost layer apart from the jute which provides warmth to the body." He also added that cows and bulls will have separate coat designs. Well, of course! Details are important. Twitter What's more, "The cow shelter will also have a bonfire to save the cows from extreme cold. Paddy straw will be put on the floor to provide warmth to the cattle if they choose to sit." Now, how cool is that? In all honesty, there's nothing wrong in making jute coats for cows. But, is it correct to restrict the jute coats only to the sheltered ones who are probably already getting enough care? Shouldn't the focus be on the animals who are living on the streets, who don't have anyone to look after them? Shouldn't the kids be somewhere in the priority list, where they get to sleep under a blanket? This news is making desi people facepalm harder than ever and they didn't leave any stone unturned to convey the same on social media. We don't have funds to give proper health and education facilities to the needy, but we have ample funds to do this. Well, it's great that they are trying to give some comfort to the cows and bulls, why not do this for every animal?https://t.co/x4hpeNGFTV — Shailendra Patel (@IAmShailendraP) November 24, 2019 Rs 250-300 of wasting whose money???? https://t.co/zlPw9XQo5K — Arpita Ghosh (@Arpita0019) November 24, 2019 Jute coats, bonfire: Ayodhya authorities ensure cows stay warm in winter. 8. The modern-day Indian cricket team has become a force to be reckoned with. Once terrified of fast-paced Australian and Pakistani bowlers, the Indian bowling attack itself has evolved into a pacing superpower. Add to that the extensive and steady batting lineup spearheaded by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli, Team India is virtually unbeatable at home. In the first ever Day-Night Test match to be held in India, Kohli and Co. showed their mettle in the longest format of the game at the prestigious Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Thanks to the extraordinary fast-ball lineup of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami, the entire Bangladesh batting order collapsed on the first day having scored just 106 runs. Sharma's 5-for combined with Yadav's three-wicket haul was the highlight the the pink-ball debut on Day 1. While this was Team India's first pink-ball win, it also happens to be the fourth straight Test match that they have won by more than an innings. Ahead of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, the Indians hosted Faf du Plessis for a three-match Test series. After winning the first match by 203 runs in Visakhapatnam, they went on to seal the series win with innings victories in Mumbai and Ranchi. 9. The one corner of a house that we can really call our own is our bathrooms and showers. Trust us, some of our most profound and existentially relevant thoughts come to us when we are shaving, brushing our teeth, attending nature's call, or showering. © iStock Heck, we enjoy the last bit so much, that most of us turn into Kishore Kumars and Eminems once a day, and for good reason. Imagine having a hot shower after the end of a really exhausting day! However, some of our guilty pleasures and habits are actually quite detrimental to us, particularly, our hair. Our showers are anyway a very humid place. The humidity and the moisture not only messes up our hair, and makes it really frizzy. Apart from that, there are some things that can cause irreversible damage to our hair © iStock Using The Wrong Products © iStock Ideally, your hair products should be free of sulfates, parabens, and alcohol. This becomes even more important if you have a skin condition, or are prone to dandruff and brittle hair. Select your products very carefully. Try to go for products that use a naturally occurring ingredient, such as clay as the cleansing agent. As for conditioners, try to go for ones that are organic, and suit your hair's concern. Not Keeping An Eye On The Temperature © iStock Yes, some of us do enjoy a warm shower before we start with our day, and one after we are done dealing with it. However often when we are singing ballads and sonnets to the invisible gods of music, we tend to forget just how hot the water gets. The best way to go about it is to take a shower using a bucket and a mug. Or else, get a geyser, that allows you to set a very specific temperature, and set it around 55-60 degrees, or whatever you are comfortable with. You can also upgrade your geyser to one that has a digital display for even more control. Leaving Your Shampoo Or Conditioner In Your Hair For Long © iStock If you are anything like us, and fastidiously read the labels and instructions that come on the label of your bottle of shampoo and conditioner, you'll know that you are supposed to leave the product in your hair for 20-30 odd seconds, before you wash it off. Chances are, inadvertently, you will leave it for a longer period of time. This is a more commonly made mistake if you are in the tendency of multitasking during your showers and brush your teeth simultaneously. Just keeping a little mental note and counting down is one of the easiest things you can do. Not Drying Your Hair Properly © iStock Make it a habit of pat drying your hair with a soft towel, instead of vigorously rubbing the towel on your head. Also, air drying your hair is a terrible idea as it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria and fungus, which leads to dandruff. Also, if you are blow drying your hair, keep it at the lowest level and keep a good distance between the dryer and your hair. Skipping Shampooing & Champis © iStock Although we all lead super lifestyles and rarely find the time to take care of ourselves, shampooing and massaging your hair oil every now and then is imperative. Shampoos, conditioners and hair oil massages provide some really beneficial nutrition to the hair. Instead of skipping it every day, include a hair oil massage in your weekly grooming routine. Another option is to get one of those shampoos that have the benefits of oiling your hair. Using A Body Wash Or A Bar Soap Instead Of A Shampoo © iStock Another habit that makes most of us have is using a bar of shampoo, or as is more the case, our body wash to wash our hair. The skin on our body is radically different from that on our scalp, so the product, too, needs to be different. Unless your body wash specifically says that it is suited for hair, keep it away from your mane. And no matter what, never ever use a body soap for your hair, unless you are looking for ways to go bald quickly. View the full article
  10. While we sit and stare in to our screens and are privileged enough to have the luxury to do so, many of us can't even make ends meet. In a quest to educate the ones who find it hard to make a living, we often forget books can be such a luxury for them. This is the reason why the Kerala MLA has decided to break the mould and help the less fortunate with reasonable access to education. CPM MLA VK Prasanth has urged people to give him books, instead of flowers, which he has promised to donate to different government schools within his constituency. So far, this is the most noble cause we've seen the initiation for in the longest time and in all genuineness, this MLA is a true messiah for its people. © The News Minute According to a few reports, he was approached by some government schools, who were ardently seeking help to set up libraries for their students who could have access to a few books, whenever required. The MLA swung into action when he reached out to people of his constituency through Facebook, asking them to donate books, instead of spending money and giving him flowers. A rally held in his constituency last week helped him collect at least 3,500 books from the people who attended it. He announced that the books will be donated to various government schools in his constituency, where children will be granted complete and absolute access to them. He thanked the people for their generosity for donating the books they could, or didn't need. Prasanth was also very active during the 2018 Kerala floods and helped a great deal with the rescue operations in the state, after which he won the polls in the state elections and became an MLA in the Vattiyoorkavu constituency. © BCCL Just yesterday the world celebrated International Men's Day and we summoned all the men in their respective fields who've broken stereotypes and made a difference and Prasanth definitely should be added to that list. He's set a great precedence for all the politicians who spend their days rallying to win people's hearts, and not cater to their basic and immediate needs instead. Health and education is the first and foremost fundamental need that needs to be looked after by each state and we're glad MLA VK Prasanth has set foot in the right direction, giving us a positive change to look forward to. 11. It hasn't even been 12 hours since the trailer of Good Newwz dropped and people on social media are already having a field day churning memes out of it. Fans call Akshay Kumar 'Khatron Ka Khiladi' or 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi', but in the movie he and Diljit Dosanjh actually become Khiladis who take the biggest risk of their lives, when their sperms get exchanged in a goof-up. In case you missed the trailer, the story is about two couples - Mr. and Mrs. Batra (Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh-Kiara Advani), who get entangled in a bizarre situation, when the hospital they go to for IVF procedure confuses their names and ends up exchanging the sperms. It's fine if you didn't watch the trailer, but you cannot miss these memes. Although, I want to say that all these memes are better than Arjun Kapoor's performance in 'Panipat', but I won't say it. Anyway, just like Diljit Dosanjh stole the show in the trailer, he's become a favourite for the trolls too who just can't get enough of his dialogues and his 'baby face'. #GoodNewwzTrailer @karanjohar *When a Star-Kid is born* Karan Johar: pic.twitter.com/6ubEKWf2kj — Shancasm (@iamshaan04) November 18, 2019 #GoodNewwzTrailer #GoodNewwz Reporter ask something in English after match Pakistani team:- pic.twitter.com/OKlsIOCd4V — dank_city_memer (@dank_city_memer) November 18, 2019 #GoodNewwzTrailer How my dad how my mom Sees me. 12. Apple recently announced the AirPods Pro that comes with new features and capabilities which were not available on the original AirPods before. While the AirPods are still available to buy, the Pro version comes with unique features that are exclusive to them. Today, Apple has made the AirPods Pro officially available in India for Rs 24,900. © Apple Currently, the AirPods Pro are available via Apple Authorised Resellers across the country. It comes with noise-cancellation features that use special microphones which can detect external sound and cancel the noise appropriately. Apple says that the noise cancellation can be adjusted to 200 times per second. This new mode is called transparency mode and requires Apple devices running iOS 13.2 or later, iPadOS 13.2 or later, watchOS 6.1 or later, tvOS 13.2 or later, or macOS Catalina 10.15.1 or later. The ambient noise can be cancelled out by using the transparency mode which in turn is activated by “force sensor.” This sensor can be used to control music playback, fire up Siri and a host of other features that will be detailed in our review later this week. The AirPods Pro also come with “Adaptive EQ” that “automatically tunes music to the shape of your ear.” © Apple The AirPods Pro offers three different sizes of soft, flexible silicone ear tips that provide a better seal to cancel ambient noise. Unlike the AirPods, the Pro model is sweat and water-resistant which comes in handy for gym enthusiasts. If you want to know more about the features on AirPods Pro, you can read about it here. 15. It's common knowledge that pollution is hazardous and affects our day to day life in more ways than we can imagine. The toxic air can lead to problems that can easily take a toll on our health as well. For people living in Delhi, pollution sure has become the new normal. Since toxic air contains smoke, acid and other pollutants, it not only affects your health but also your skin. Your skin, which is the most sensitive, has to go through the ugly wrath of this hazardous air. It disrupts the pH balance of your skin and can lead to dryness, rashes, acne and other allergic reactions. To save yourself for further damaging your skin, follow these steps and let your skin feel blessed. 1. Use A Cleanser Made Of Natural Ingredients Make good use of cleansers that have natural ingredients like sandalwood, neem or tulsi. The tonic properties filled in such cleansers can easily help you get rid of all the grime that gets accumulated on your skin. Use it twice a day for effective results. __ECOMPRODUCT__127__ 2. Stay Hydrated One of the best ways to battle pollution is by having plenty of water. Water keeps your skin hydrated and improves blood circulation. It helps minimise puffy eyes and dark circles, improving your skin's elasticity. Aim to have at least 4 litres of water every day and protect your skin from pollution. © iStock 3. Exfoliate Your Skin Daily Due to pollution, your skin is bound to get affected but exfoliation will run to your rescue to heal your skin from the problems. You can make the scrub at home with walnuts and mix sugar and a few drops of olive oil. Since pollution can lead to inflammation, cleansing your skin every day is a necessity. © iStock 4. Moisturise Your Skin Pollution tends to turn your skin quite dull and hence, it is advisable you use a moisturiser that keeps your skin nourished as well as hydrated. Post your shower sesh, use a moisturiser, as it will lessen the damage caused to the toxic air. If you have a beard, use beard oil on it. © iStock 5. Take A Steam Facial You can also use steam as a remedy for your skin. Add a few drops of orange oil to the hot water and before heading to the shower, take a stream and then massage your skin. When they see women smoking or behave in a certain way, which according to them is not right, so that's how cinema gets fodder from these kinds of situations. Bala for example, there is one definition of beauty which is followed across the nation that the guy has to be tall, has to have good hair or the girl should be fair. We need to challenge this definition of beauty and that's what we have done in Bala. The aspiration will always be to choose normal and different subjects and our country is full of that,” he said. 18. While some of us do whatever we can to save street dogs, Nepal goes a step further and celebrates them though a festival. Yes, that's right! A five day festival called 'Kukoor Tihar' (festival of dogs) has begun this week and our Diwali, also Sunday, marked the second day of the festival. The entire festival is dedicated to dogs and honouring their presence and I think it's time we learn a thing or two from the Nepalese. (BCCL) India is quite apathetic towards animals in general and we don't have the empathy required to give our street animals or even our wildlife a second thought. Case in point, Diwali this year, where after the government made it mandatory to not burst crackers before 8pm and after 10pm, numerous people still indulged in it, risking the safety of street dogs around them. Apart from the harmful effects fireworks bring to the environment, they're also both physically and psychologically detrimental towards animals, especially street dogs who live on roads. But people didn't care much about their presence and after incessant fireworks on Diwali night, many dogs were left shivering out of fear. (c)Nepal Travel Adventure Nepal, on the other hand, celebrate their dogs in a wholesome way. In fact, they worship their dogs during the Tihar festival, while garlanding them, putting a tikka on them and giving them food. For the Nepalese, dogs are sacrosanct because of religious purposes. They happen to believe dogs are messengers of Yamraj (the God of death) and the ceremony conducted for the dogs is an attempt to appease the God. Both street dogs and pets become a part of the festival and have an entire week dedicated to them. Here's a glimpse from the festival: Kayle, bcause calling him 'kaley' could be racist!? 20. One of the oldest and most common skin concerns for men that still is a pain to deal with has to be acne. As a skin concern, acne is very common among men of all ages. © iStock As natural as the phenomenon may be, people often tend to make fun of those suffering from it. For preteen and adolescent boys, acne may stem from changing hormones after a certain age. However, for men beyond a certain age, acne can be caused by some seriously flawed habits. And yes, smoking is just one of them. © iStock Your Skincare Products Or Not Using Them © iStock One major cause of untimely acne is the fact that most men don't buy skincare products based on the type of skin they have. That is assuming they use basic skincare products at all. Not only is using the wrong kind pointless, it can also be downright detrimental for your skin. Pro Tip: Get your skin tested if you have severe acne or regular breakouts and use skin products that suit your skin. Avoid using products that have a high concentration of sulphates and parabens. Your Diet © iStock No thanks to our hectic schedules and overworked lifestyles, most of us rely on food that can be downed in a jiffy, and needs little to no effort from us to consume. Not only are these foods high on oil content, they are also laced with preservatives and taste enhancers which wreak havoc on your skin. There are a lot of us who ignore minor allergic reactions to certain kinds of foods and simply gorge on them. A medical study released in 2013 stated that almost 60% of Indians don't realise that they suffer from a mild case of lactose intolerance. Pro Tip: Get yourself tested if you see that your skin misbehaves when you have certain kinds of food. Also, try to avoid oily and precooked food as much as you can, as they tend to have the most devastating effects on your gut, overall health and skin. Your Hygiene © iStock As obvious as this may seem, you need to stay hygienic. Take bathing for instance. You need to take a proper shower every day, no matter what the weather. So think twice before avoiding that bath this winter. Also, consider switching to a shower gel or something like that. A bar of soap just does not cut it anymore. There are other things to consider as well. How often you cut your nails, whether or not you get your nails cleaned, the products you use for your clothes. Take note of the way your skin reacts whenever you change something in your routine. Pro Tip: As we said, take note of how your skin responds to changes. Also, don't skip basic routines and don't shy away from changing products if you need to. Your Supplements © iStock This holds true especially if you are a muscle buff, work out at the gym and consume supplements. Most supplements are harmless, but there are a few that do not suit everybody. Try switching off of your supplements if you have persistent acne. If it starts disappearing, you have your culprit. Pro Tip: If it is indeed your supplements that are causing the issue, switch to something that suits you. Have a word with your trainer or dietician, and consult them for a substitute. Your Hair Products © iStock This may come across as a surprise, but your hair products do affect your skin, especially around your face. If you use a strong anti-dandruff shampoo, or a specific oil or mousse, and find yourself have breakouts often, it's time to switch. Pro Tip: Try going for products that are chemical-free, and have a natural cleansing agent, in case it is your shampoo. For other hair products, try to go for organic and vegan ones as they are the least likely to have adverse effects. Also, take note if your hair product has paraben, or sulfate. If it does, it's out.

  24. Salman Khan doesn't follow the set patterns of Bollywood's rulebook and you might agree with us on this. He doesn't care if his movies are not given great ratings by the film critics because according to him, it's the box office numbers that validate any film. Salman Khan's latest release 'Bharat', which is an official remake of the South Korean film 'Ode to My Father', has turned out to be a lucky project for the actor. The movie is doing pretty well at the domestic market and is inching close to earning Rs 200 crores. The movie opened to mixed reviews from critics as some called it 'bland' and some termed it the perfect Eid blockbuster. But, none of these ratings affect our superstar, Salman Khan, in fact, he feels “scared” when critics praise his movies. In one of the group interviews, while promoting the movie, Salman said, “My validation comes from the box office collections... that the people have liked or not liked a film. It doesn't make a difference if someone (a critic) has given it so many stars (ratings) or ridiculed the film. It's their bread and butter. God bless them, give them two more (slices of) bread,” Salman said in a group interview. Asked how he feels when the critics give glorious reviews to his films, the actor said he is unable to wrap his head around it. To all the journalists who have interviewed me during #Bharat ... a big thank u to all... — Salman Khan (@BeingSalmanKhan) June 12, 2019 He added that he wants the audience to go to the theatres and forget about their life in general when they are watching his movies. Apart from Salman, 'Bharat' also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Nora Fatehi, Sunil Grover and Tabu. 25. You don't have to be an expert and crunch some numbers to realise that digital cameras are slowly becoming a thing of the past. All you have to do is go out and look around. You'll quickly realise that smartphones have taken over and not a lot of people are carrying around a digital camera to take pictures. Well, if that's not enough, here's a chart that was put together by Statista with the help of the information obtained from the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA). The offices of CIPA, in case you're wondering, include Olympus, Casio, Canon, Kodak, Sony, and Nikon, and we wonder what do they have to say about the numbers. Just look at those falling numbers. © Statista As you can see, things haven't been looking all that good for digital camera makers since the numbers have significantly gone down after a little spike in 2010. That number, by the way, was the all-time high in camera sales of 121 million units. Putting in simple terms, digital camera shipments have dropped a whopping 84-percent since 2010. Last year, the sales were recorded at 19.4 million shipments, which is the lowest number since 2001. And we're not talking about just the portable digital cameras. The shipments of high-end interchangeable lens camera have also gone down. So, why is this happening? © YouTube Smartphones! Yes, it's a very simple answer. An increasing number of people have now started using smartphones to take pictures. They're more convenient and have gotten a lot better over the years, thanks to all the advancements in the field of smartphone photography. In fact, you don't necessarily have to splurge big bucks to get a good smartphone with a potent camera. Smartphones like the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Realme 3 Pro, etc. have proved time and again that you don't have to own a flagship phone to shoot great pictures. Of course, things will only get better as you drop more money, and flagship phones like the Huawei P30 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10 are some great examples of that. We don't have a fresh chart with new numbers to show, but this one from 2017 does a great job of explaining why the digital camera shipments have gone down since 2010. Just take a look at the number of people using smartphones for photography. © Statista Around 85 percent of pictures were taken from, well, a smartphone. Astounding imagery offered in a compact form factor. And by the way, a smartphone can do a lot more than just make phone calls and take good pictures, so what's there to complain about?
