  1. Facebook and Instagram are now threatening that users will need to pay for their services if they don’t allow these apps to track them after installing iOS 14.5. After the release of iOs 14.5, all apps must seek permission before they track a user between apps and websites. This move will reportedly cost Facebook millions of dollars as more and more people deny Facebook the right to track them. © Facebook Now Facebook is trying every trick in the book to get people to share their data with them including charging for their services. “To help people make a more informed decision, we're also showing a screen of our own, along with Apple's. It will provide more information about how we use personalized ads, which support small businesses and keep apps free. If you accept the prompts for Facebook and Instagram, the ads you see on those apps won't change. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. Agreeing to these prompts doesn't result in Facebook collecting new types of data. It just means that we can continue to give people better experiences.” © BCCL Facebook is subtly asking its users to keep “Facebook/Instagram free” by allowing targeted ads. This suggests that the company might charge its users for access in the future. This is nothing but a scare tactic deployed by Facebook to get users to allow targeted advertisements. And it begins. @Facebook / @Instagram explore additional scare tactics to combat @Apple iOS14 #ATT privacy changes. “Help keep Facebook free of charge” pic.twitter.com/mOB9WJpz9A — ashkan soltani (@ashk4n) April 30, 2021 It is also worth pointing out that new App Store rules prohibit app makers from offering incentives to users for allowing themselves to be tracked. Facebook and Instagram haven’t directly broken this rule right now but it sure comes close. View the full article

  3. It’s a commonly believed myth that men are more sexually active as compared to women. While this may not be true for all men, it doesn’t mean that men are exempted from the bedroom anxiety that a lot of us go through. In fact, it's because of this that many men attach their self worth with their performance in bed. As toxic as this belief is, it also places a huge amount of pressure on many of us. As a result, we stress out about petty things that simply don’t matter. It’s about time we stopped believing in myths and started being real. Here are five common beliefs that you need to stop believing in if you want to relieve some of that performance pressure while getting intimate with a woman. __ECOMLOOKS__2847__ __ECOMLOOKS__2848__ __ECOMLOOKS__2849__ __ECOMLOOKS__2850__ __ECOMLOOKS__2851__ The Bottomline In the end, it takes two to tango, so if you have a bad time or a good one, it’s not all on you. More so, having open discussions will only help you relieve all that stress and overthinking. Now go on and choose pleasure over pressure! Explore More View the full article
  4. A human body is capable of many things. In some instances, it's good while some are pretty embarrassing and quite gross as well. From having ingrown hair to having eye-boogers, there are some uninvited stuff that need to be taken care of. Here are 4 gross things that your body has and how to fix them. Check it out. 1. Calluses & Flaky Skin © iStock If you have flaky skin on your body or scalp, it's considered to be a good sign. Calluses are hardened layers that protect the skin against pressure. Flaky skin, on the other hand, sheds the older skin and generates a new one. Getting rid of flaky skin at home is possible. All you need to do is use a pumice stone, emery board or nail file to remove the layer of hard skin. Soak your hands or feet in warm water as it helps soften the calluses. 2. Ingrown Nails © iStock Ingrown nails happen when the edge of the toenails grow into the skin. This can cause issues like redness and swelling and while it's a common problem, this gross issue too can be dealt with in the comfort of your home. In case of excessive issue, it may need a professional's intervention. You can use apple cider vinegar as it has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that can help deal with ingrown nails. Prepare a water bucket with 1/4th cup of apple cider vinegar and warm water. Soak your feet in it for at least 20 minutes and dry it, and you are done. 3. Eye Boogers © iStock It is normal to wake up with that sticky substance in the corner of your eyes. We all experience eye boogers. They are mucus that our eyes discharge. At night, when you go to sleep the eyes don't blink and that leads to a build-up of mucus. To get rid of it, you can opt for a warm compress, held over for at least 5 minutes on the eyes. This will loosen the mucus and help you get rid of it. 4. Skin Tags © iStock Skin tags can be prevented and they are one of the most common problems as they occur anywhere they like, basically on the face, butt, armpits, etc. Skin tags too can be dealt with but it needs to be done very gently. Instead of snipping them, try to dissolve them by using anti-bacterial formula. Tea tree oil works well and when you use it thrice a day, the skin tag will dry out and fall off eventually. Make sure the oil gets absorbed into the skin. View the full article
  5. There are several reasons why man boobs happen and trust us, it's not a bad sign at all. Fortunately, there are ways in which it's possible to conceal them with a few adjustments in your style and wardrobe. Starting with what you wear below to utilising accessories, here are six ways in which you can take the attention away from the chest area and look fashionable. 1. Stick To Dark Colours © iStock Dark colours usually work for man boobs. They have the potential to add the slimming down effect. The darker hues do not draw any attention to the chest area. Choose colours like black, charcoal grey, dark blue, etc. as they are your safe bet. You can also try pastel hues, to minimise the appearance of man boobs, as they look better than plain white. 2. Opt For Compression Shirt © iStock A compression shirt is designed in spandex or neoprene fabric. It's a functional base layer, which helps to conceal the chest area and a comfortable style that offers stability around the torso. They come in a variety of silhouettes, including a tank tee, T-shirt and full-sleeve T-shirts. If you can't afford to go for compression shirts, buy undershirts in blended fabrics that are a size smaller than your original size. 3. Hide It With Small Patterns © iStock Patterned shirts are a good and bad idea both. The right ones can distract from the chest area whereas the wrong ones will highlight it. In that case, favour smaller patterns that are closer together. For example, opt for ones that don't create a lot of colour contrast. Smaller blue checks or all-over print are some good options. 4. Slim Down With Pinstripes © iStock When it comes to suits, they are naturally slimming due to the colour and the texture that's uniform from head to hoe. When you are shopping for suits, ensure you go for narrow pinstripes instead of large patterned suits. Steer clear of windowpane or glen plaids, as they can emphasise your man boobs. 5. Wear Thick Fabrics When Possible © iStock Going for thicker fabrics is a great way to conceal man boobs. While that's possible for colder locations, you can still opt for other textured fabrics that are suitable for all weather conditions like canvas, corduroy, denim etc. These materials are not thin and will take the attention away from your chest area. 6. Wear Other Accent Pieces © iStock Wearing accent pieces, for example, a pair of sneakers, or a wristwatch helps create an alternative focal point. The idea here is to use accessories as a trick. That in no way means you end up wearing every accessory in your wardrobe. Also, avoid wearing low necklines and other accessories like chains or necklaces. View the full article
  6. Passenger planes haven’t really changed much or look quite similar to jets people used to travel on in the late 1960s. Sure, there are some exceptions like the Concorde but then again that aeroplane was discontinued from service on April 10th 2003. The plane was a marvel when it came to supersonic travel speeds but it really wasn’t cost-effective for airlines to operate. Today, the best selling planes happen to be the narrow-body aircraft used for point-to-point travel. However, the future looks very different if we are to go by what aircraft manufacturers are working on. Air Travel is bound to change 30-50 years from now and here are some examples of aircraft that we might use for travel in the future: 1. Airbus Maveric © Airbus If you look from afar, this plane looks like a flying wedge and that’s because it uses a “Blended Wing Body” design. The design is still a concept at the moment and Airbus have tested a small scale remote-controlled drone to test the design’s viability. Airbus says the design has "great potential” since it does not have a traditional fuselage and the weight that comes with it. The blended wing body design is quite common to see in military aircraft and sooner or later it will trickle down to passenger aircraft as well. The radical design also might reduce emissions from air travel to half by 2050. 2. Flying-V © Delft Technology University The Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands have also designed a radical-looking aircraft that could be the future of air travel. The “Flying V’ is a new concept of long-haul passenger aircraft where passengers and cargo can be carried within the wings themselves. The entire plane is shaped like an arrowhead and will be cheaper to manufacture than a blended wing aircraft. The aircraft’s flight capabilities have been tested on a battery-powered drone that has a wingspan of 9ft. The test was a massive success and who knows we might even see Flying-V’s design become a reality soon. 3. Boom © BOOM As we mentioned before, Supersonic air travel has gone backwards ever since Concorde went out of service. Concorde was able to cross the Atlantic in about three hours from London, however it used up a lot of fuel and in turn, had tickets that used to cost more than most people’s full-year's wages. However, a Silicon Valley startup and Japan Airlines is looking to change that with Boom Supersonic. The commercial aircraft that is currently under development is expected to fly at speeds of Mach 2.2 with lower costs than the Concorde. 4. Spaceliner © DLR A concept project by DLR and the German Aerospace Research Institute, this spacecraft is expected to run somewhat similar to the Virgin Galactic. The craft will travel at the edge of the atmosphere so that it can go 25 times faster than the speed of sound. This speed will enable passengers to travel from London to Australia in about 90 minutes. View the full article
  7. Using smartphones has now become a daily thing for everyone who is reading this post. However, when using a smartphone, there might be some key things that you might be ignoring or doing that aren't really recommended. There are many common things we do that are considered the worst things you can do without even realising it. Here are some of the most common things people do that they shouldn’t be doing even though it’s not their fault. 1. Skipping Updates © Apple Delaying smartphone updates is a very common thing to do but in essence, it's the worst thing you can do as well. Your smartphone’s operating system and even some apps need occasional updates that are essential for running the smartphone. Some updates can improve battery life while also providing new security features that protect the device from hackers. These updates are released for a reason and if your phone supports it, we highly recommend updating it right away. 2. Closing Background Apps © Youtube_Jamie Wagner If you open your smartphone right now, there are probably hundreds of apps that you haven’t really closed. The common assumption is that if you close these apps it might help in saving battery and increase the processing speed of your smartphone. That is one of the biggest myths as apps that you are not using but are open in the background are more like a screenshot of what the app was doing last. There are some exceptions though such instant messaging apps since it delivers texts from your contact in real-time. If you are an iPhone user, closing apps actually drains more battery life as it takes longer to switch between apps if you force quit them. 3. Not Using Third-Party Chargers © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla There’s a common myth that using the charger that came with your phone is the best way to charge your phone. That could be true for some smartphones, however we will soon see smartphone companies stop giving chargers in the box of the phone. Apple and Samsung have already implemented that strategy and more companies will follow. That’s because we’ve come a long way when it comes to charging standards where most smartphones now support Power Delivery charging. Be it Apple, Samsung or OnePlus, all new devices now support the universal charging protocol. This means you can now buy cheaper PD chargers for your smartphone without having to buy a very expensive charger from OEMs. 4. Thinking Camera Megapixels Mean Better Pictures © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla The phone megapixel war seems to have started again, thanks to companies like Samsung and Xiaomi now selling smartphones with camera sensors with 108MP resolution. However, smartphones like the Google Pixel and iPhone have proven in the past that the lens quality matters more than the megapixel it supports. Apart from the lens quality, computational photography also makes a huge difference when taking pictures with your smartphone. Software adjustments to images can make your pictures stand out which is currently being used by both Google and Apple. View the full article
  8. There is nothing more horrific than the current ongoing pandemic that the world is dealing with right now. The ‘new’ normal has enveloped us in some fearful dwelling of our own and our minds haven’t been on rest since last year. While binge-watching is actually something we can all put on our resume, the question is what you binge watch, and what food for the brain are you snacking on? I enjoy a good watch which rattles the brain and if you too want to skip the run-of-the-mill clichéd horror flicks on TV, then here are some intelligently made horror flicks which will force you to understand before getting scared: 1. Ready Or NotThis American horror-comedy promises to keep you entertained till the end. Grace, a woman who is convinced that her dreams of marrying the love of her life are fulfilled, is in for a weird chase-and–run situation after she must hide from dusk till dawn from her new family who chase her to finish her. 2. The Hole In The Ground This supernatural thriller tells the story of Sarah’s son, who disappears in the woods behind her house one night. After he returns, something eerie about him convinces her that perhaps it's not her son who returned. 3. I Trapped The Devil Nothing like mixing the element of Satan with Christmas! This one tells the tale of a couple who visit the man’s brother for Christmas for a family reunion, but are surprised to see a hostage in the basement , who he claims is the devil himself. 4. The Silence This is based on a dystopian theme where the world is under attack and a family is seeking refuge with their daughter who lost her hearing capacity when she was young. The twist in the tale happens when they meet a cult which is super interested in exploring the depth of the heightened senses and use it. 5. Tigers Are Not Afraid The ‘horror’ in this movie is basically not a ghost shifting around in corridors but the humans around us. This dark fairy tale narrates the story of a young girl who is abandoned by her mother and later joins a gang of street children who try to survive the violence of the big bad world around them. 6. Girl On The Third Floor This might not be a huge commercial success, but for many, this was a great watch. This psychological horror film follows a man who is trying to renovate the mansion for his growing family, only to realise that the house has some plans of its own! View the full article
  9. We all go through our fair share of hair struggles, be it hair loss, thinning hair or greying hair. However, we often shy away from making any real change to our hair care routine. The first and the most important step in every hair care routine is hygiene, i.e. using the right shampoo and conditioner. While most of us already know how to shampoo our hair the right way, we rarely use a conditioner. Can a conditioner improve your hair quality? The answer is yes. A conditioner is one of the most underrated hair care products that can transform your unruly mane. How? Well, that’s exactly what we are here to discuss! Here’s all that you need to know about hair conditioners. 1. What Are The Benefits? The outer cells of our hair strands get worn and torn from daily exposure to sun, pollution and sweat. This causes them to branch out into split ends and frizziness. They become rough and look unruly. Using a conditioner will help you nourish the ends of your hair and in turn, make your hair look smoother. __ECOMPRODUCT__1360__ Hair conditioners also help in moisturising the strands. Using a shampoo surely cleans the scalp but it also tends to dry out the ends. Also, the ends of your hair often miss out on the nourishment that your scalp provides to the hair closer to it. This is why getting regular haircuts and using a conditioner is important. 2. Different Types Of Conditioners There are mainly three types of conditioners: rinse-out conditioners, deep conditioners and leave-in conditioners. Rinse-out conditioners are used after shampoo and are meant for the hair tips. They are the most common type of conditioners and are suitable for all hair types. __ECOMPRODUCT__1361__ Deep conditioners are meant for damaged and dry hair and tend to the hair on a deeper level. They are infused with heavy oils and emulsifiers. This isn’t a product that’s recommended for people with normal to oily hair, unless greasy hair is what you’re going for. __ECOMPRODUCT__1043__ As the name suggests, leave-in conditioners are meant to be left in your hair and not rinsed out. These conditioners stay on the surface of your hair and protect it from dust, pollution, sun and daily wear and tear. It’s also a great product for people who use a lot of hot styling tools on their hair. It’s also an effective detangler. __ECOMPRODUCT__1042__ 3. How To Use? A hair conditioner is meant only for the hair, not the scalp. Give your hair a nice cleanse with a shampoo and start off on damp hair. Take one generous pump of the product onto your palms. Next, spread the product evenly in your hair. Be careful with the quantity, since a little bit can go a long way. Leave the product in your hair for a couple of minutes and then use warm water to wash it off. __ECOMPRODUCT__1156__ Make sure that you don’t massage the product into your scalp or hair. Once you wash it off, you can flaunt your frizz-free, smooth and bouncy hair! 4. The Best FormulaLastly, you need the right ingredient for your hair type. All the conditioners are made to moisturise and smoothen the hair, however, some of them have sulfates, silicones and other harmful ingredients. These ingredients are bad because they tend to dry out and damage your hair in the long run. __ECOMPRODUCT__1041__ Stick to natural hair conditioners that will not only smoothen but also nourish your hair. The Bottomline There you go, now you know all about this underrated hair care product for men. A conditioner is an essential and now you know why. Go on and start using conditioners and we promise you won’t regret it. Explore More View the full article

  12. Grooming is an underrated thing and not all men are keen on following a routine. Often, this arena is so ignored that men forget to keep a check on their fingernails as well and hardly pay any heed to it. © iStock If you really care about the appearance of your hands, then read on to find out about some common clipping mistakes you are probably making and how to stop them: 1. Using Traditional Type Of Scissors © iStock There was a time when using a pair of scissors to cut nails worked well. But in today's time, clippers actually reign supreme as they help get rid of sharp edges of the nails. While travelling as well, nail clippers are never confiscated but scissors are. Considering all these things, one needs to be equipped with the right sort of tools for nail cutting. 2. Using Just A Nail File © iStock While caring for your nails, just using a nail filer is not enough. It's supposed to be the last step of nail cutting. First, you need to start with the clippers and then use a file to get better results. 3. Not Taking Care Of Other Parts © iStock It's good that you have cut your nails but what about your cuticles? If there is dirt in it or they are cracked and dry, they won't look well-groomed. While cutting your nails, don't ignore the hangnails and cuticles. Using a clipper is the best way out and for dry cuticles, use jojoba oil for intensive hydration. 4. Not Keeping Your Tools Clean © iStock Sometimes, if the nail-care tools are of low quality, they will catch rust due to the moist environment. This will also be a hassle while cutting your nails. It can lead to infection and if you share the nail cutter with others, make sure it gets cleaned from time to time so that it doesn't catch any germs. 5. Not Using A File At All © iStock Manicures are expensive for a reason. The nail cutting sesh is finished with filing. But at home, if you only trim your nails and don't use a file, the nails will end up having sharp edges. Using a file, on the other hand, can give the nails a smooth texture. Trimming your nails in a round shape helps with ingrown nails. Finally, a quick brush with a file can keep them in good shape. View the full article

  15. It’s been only a few days that we were trying to recuperate from the wonderful creativity of a viral clip from a TV soap, where the lead pair ‘accidentally’ gets married. In less than 4 days, my meme seeking eyes are now feasting on this insane clip from another soap where a bride-to-be demands two competing lovers to bring a piece of moon to win her hand for marriage. Yeah, I am not kidding at all. Have a dekko here: View this post on Instagram So while one of the dudes is trying hard to be a ‘desi’ Harry Potter and do some ‘Lumos’ or ‘Alohomora’ magical spell on the moon to deceive gravity and just draw the moon to himself, like some metaphysical magical magnetic force, the other dude, well, goes a step further and becomes Ron Weasley who probably takes out his dad’s magical flying car, catapults it to the moon and successfully gets a ‘chand ka tukda’ for his beloved. People on the internet are of course asking for some digestive pills because “digest kaise karein?” gravity ko peeche chor dia yaar :/ — amna (@linocIoud) March 30, 2021 © Pexels © Twitter So while science and logic have left this chat, I can’t stop but think that these two men are officially eligible for an Astronaut program at NASA. I mean I am ready to either fight for a letter from Hogwarts for them so that they can learn magic properly and become great wizards or sign a petition demanding them to be hired at NASA right away. I never knew ‘love you to the moon and back’ could have a literal meaning like this. While these guys are snatching ‘chand ka tukda’ for their lover, we don’t have anyone who’d even get us a ‘shahi tukda’ for dessert. Such is life. Sigh! View the full article
  16. The manner in which festivals, especially Holi is shown in cinema is really spectacular. The energy, the vibrant colours, the clothes, and playful flirtiness - when composed and shot correctly, Holi celebration sequences are a joy to watch. © Dharma Productions With that being said, styling or what the actors are wearing is something that people often don’t pay attention to. If you truly love cinema, you’ll realise just how important costumes and styling in the film really are. © Yash Raj Films We take a look at 7 new-age Bollywood Holi songs and rank them, based on how awesome their music and lyrics are, and phenomenally they have been styled: 7. Subah Subah, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety We start with Subah Subah from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Although this is not strictly a song about the festival of colours, the Holi sequence that comes at the end of the song, is spectacular. Kartik’s and Sunny’s style was hip, minimal, and suave. 6. Tum Tak, Raanjhana Anand L Rai perfectly captured the ethos of Varanasi in Raanjhana. Just look at the Holi sequence in Tum Tak and you’ll know what we are on about. It captured the brutish nature of a Varanasi Holi in a great manner. Dhanush especially stood out in the sequence, because of how he paired a red chunni with basic T-shirts and pants. 5. Go Pagal, Jolly LLB 2 Jolly LLB 2’s Go Pagal is loud, brash, vibrant - all of this, all at the same time. This is how Holi used to be played in Uttar Pradesh, at least before the pandemic. What Akshay Kumar’s wearing is a more dignified version of how men would normally dress up - a buttoned-down shirt, a basic pair of jeans, and some dope looking sneakers. 4. Badri Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania The title track of the film is set around Holi, and boy oh boy, do we see Varun Dhawan dress up in something special. Now, do keep in mind, that what we saw Varun wear is tuned more towards a normal, and tame party, rather than the boisterous colour plays (colour wars, technically). Varun is seen first in a half-sleeved short kurta and a dope-looking bandi, and then a double-layered waistcoat. 3. Jai Jai Shiv Shankar, War The dance moves that we see in this song are just spectacular. That is what happens when two of the best dancers in Bollywood, are put next to each other. Stylewise, we have to say that although both Tiger and Hrithik were in a league of their own, Hrithik with his unstructured kurta, jeans and that red Rajasthani print dupatta, had a slight edge over Tiger. 2. Balam Pichkari, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani One of the peppiest song on this list, Balam Pichkari works for a number of reasons. The style is very simple and realistic and comprises of pieces that people wear every day. There are no “costumes” as such. Aditya Roy Kapoor & Ranbir Kapoor can exchange their outfits, and they will still look just as dope as they did in the song. 1. Lahu Munh Lag Gaya, Ram-Leela Of course, this song was going to be number 1 on this list. Even though Deepika looked stunning in this song, Ranveer was simply on fire. That blue printed shirt and that dhoti was a stellar combo by itself. By adding that open Kedia Kurta and that monk strap Chelsea boots, Ranveer took his outfit to a whole new level. The Bottomline… We have had our Holi classics, like Rang Barse, Let’s Play Holi, Holi Ke Din, and countless others. However, in terms of style and fashion at least, the outfits used in these songs don’t hold up today. These new-age songs, on the other hand, are apt in giving some really dope-looking costume ideas, for your a Holi colour party. View the full article
