  1. To whoever needs to hear this today, you're doing okay. You'll be fine. You will survive. This isn't a story about that prodigy in school who could solve calculus at the age of 10. This is neither about that boy who fought against all odds to become successful. This isn't about the over-achievers. It's about the rest of us. The rest of us who struggle every day with comparisons and self-doubt. Ankush Bahuguna TED Talk Our societal conditioning forces us to believe that there's only one way to live life – to run the race, race past everyone else and be the most successful person this world has ever known. I've hated myself for most of my life for not being able to keep up with constant competition with my peers, for not meeting the unrealistic standards I set for myself. But the last few months have been different. I've slowly come to terms with the fact that my idea of success may be different from the rest of the world and how comparing my journey to someone else's is unnecessary mental stress. That's why when DAV College, Chandigarh invited me to give a TEDx talk, I just knew what I was going to talk about. Because I know, there are many more people out there, who constantly struggle with the idea of ambition and competition just like me. People who may need reassurance that I never got in my formative years. Give this a watch. Even if it helps a handful of you to see your future in a new light, I'd consider this talk successful. Now, don't misunderstand me when I say being average is absolutely alright. I don't mean to deride hard work and hustle. That's all that has got me where I am. What I would definitely say is that it is okay for people to not be the best and more importantly, to not have aspirations to be the best at what they do. We decide what we make of our lives and it's alright if it's not monumental. The one important thing to remember, I'd say, is to be financially independent. Don't take decisions that you think are right, take decisions you really believe in. Everything else will fall into place, eventually.
  2. Shahid Kapoor possesses the rare ability to exude an impish, boyish charm, and also come off as a complete 'mard' when he wants to. He can easily pull off a college-going Rajiv in 'Ishq Vishk', a fierce emperor, Raja Ratan Rawal Singh, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat' and then channelling his inner insanity by playing a crazy drug addict in 'Udta Punjab'. Over the years, we have seen Shahid prove the fact that every role he takes up, he plays it convincingly on the big screen. Now, he is gearing up for his next release, 'Kabir Singh', which is an adaptation of Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey's blockbuster movie 'Arjun Reddy'. The trailer has already left everyone waiting with bated breath, as Shahid's character is seen struggling majorly with the consequences of a bad breakup and ends up choosing alcohol and drugs to overcome the pain he is going through. Cliched, I know, but Shahid adds a little something extra to this otherwise heard-so-much-about role. View this post on Instagram #Bekhayali out now! . . . Link in bio. @kiaraaliaadvani @sandeepreddy.vanga #BhushanKumar @muradkhetani #KrishanKumar @ashwinvarde @santha_dop @filmykothari @sachetparampara @sachettandon @thakurparampara @kamil_irshad_official @tseries.official @kabirsinghmovie @cine1studios A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on May 25, 2019 at 3:24am PDT Earlier, there were reports that Arjun Kapoor was first approached for the role but then director Sandeep Vanga was already in talks with Shahid for the role. “Shahid and I were already in talks, so I couldn't just jump to another actor It's not about whose acting calibre is greater but about the commitment,” said the director in an interview. 'Kabir Singh' is releasing this month and here's why we think Shahid Kapoor is an apt choice to play the fierce character: 1. Convincing As A Heartbroken Romantic View this post on Instagram Making everyone spell love all over again! #TujheKitnaChahneLage (Link In Bio) . . . . @kiaraaliaadvani @sandeepreddy.vanga #BhushanKumar @muradkhetani #KrishanKumar @ashwinvarde @santha_dop @filmykothari @arijitsingh @mithoon11 @tseries.official @kabirsinghmovie @cine1studios A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Jun 1, 2019 at 10:16pm PDT If you have seen the trailer, Shahid does look convincing as a lovelorn man. You empathize with his character as breakups in our era are pretty much relatable. You can see his violent streak and how he has drenched himself in alcohol and drugs to get over the pain that comes with a tough breakup. 2. He Can Handle The Pressure Of A 'High-Risk' Role When the trailer was released, it was a sure shot thing that it would be compared to 'Arjun Reddy'. If you have watched 'Arjun Reddy', you can easily vouch for that fact that Shahid has gotten the body language and holistic characteristics just right. Despite having a bar set really high, even before the movie hits the screens, Shahid seems to have taken that fact into his stride, and pull off a rather convincing performance. 3. He's Got That 'Bad-Boy' Beard Nailed To A T View this post on Instagram #kabirsingh out in 2 months. 21st June. #waitforit @kiaraaliaadvani @sandeepreddy.vanga #BhushanKumar @muradkhetani #KrishanKumar @ashwinvarde @tseries.official @cine1studios @kabirsinghmovie A post shared by Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) on Apr 21, 2019 at 2:33am PDT Well, you can totally take inspiration from his bearded look and probably, you can also keep such a beard for your next date. Although, the beard in his situation is the result of a broken heart. Again, cliched, but Shahid pulls it off so well. 4. Stepping Out Of His Comfort Zone Shahid has always aced even those roles which don't seem to come naturally to him and goes beyond his limits, just to get it right on the big screen. We are sure that 'Kabir Singh' is going to be worth our while and can't wait for its release. Are you looking forward to the movie? Let us know in the comments section.
  3. If you haven't seen the series finale of 'Game of Thrones', you probably shouldn't read ahead. If GOT has been consistent with one thing even if that's a tautological roundup is the fact that Jon Snow belongs in the North. He began his journey by taking the oath and by the end of the eighth season, heis sent back to it. And that's because he's the Queenslayer now, and people want him executed (mostly the Unsullied, because the Dothraki seem to be chilling at this point.) This seems like a good compromise. But, anyway, that's what we're made to believe that there's no way out for Jon besides taking up the Watch again. However, with the Night King gone, is there a purpose to the Watch at all? Thankfully, Jon gets that too. The last shot of 'Game Of Thrones' follows Jon and the Wildlings beyond the wall as they set out on an adventure to discover what's the great perhaps, or if there is one, to begin with? Again with no White Walkers, you also see fresh growth of plants and blooming trees. This is a good sign. But wait? He's not staying at the wall like he's supposed to. Earlier in a conversation with Ygritte, he once expressed his desire to roam around freely with no responsibilities and I think that's what he's after this time. There's no one to stop or question im beyond the wall and that works for him. He can freely discover new lands now. So, just like Arya is off to discover what's West of Westeros, Jon here is going to thoroughly (this time around) discover what lies beyond the Wall and he seems happy. And here's the thing, these are two storylines we would love to watch.
  4. Do you feel like absolute sh** when your favourite character from 'Game of Thrones' dies? It's legit to feel absolutely down in the dumps because you form a dynamic with each character and when they die, it's hard to process that because they make a significant mark in your life. That's what 'GOT' has been doing to people across the board and you can spend hours talking about how and why someone dies but still not find any respite whatsoever. © HBO 'Game of Thrones' has grown over us slowly and steadily, over the last 8 years and we're slowly realising the end is near and we will have to let go every aspect of it soon. Of course the memories from the show will stay but it's almost like we need a constant support group to let them all go and someone's made a worthy effort to make sure we have a proper grievance platform for our favourite show. And guess what, there is one! © HBO Star World has been renowned as the channel that is home to all things 'Game of Thrones' and now, with the final season of the show coming to an end, it has upped the game again by finding a solution to our woes. Monday mornings have never been the same as each episode of the show takes us closer to its inevitable end. In order to engage with fans across the country and help them navigate through all the burns of the season, their many frustrations and melancholies, Star World has now opened up a #GOTHelpline - A first-of-its kind engagement activity, for all 'Game of Thrones' Fans. © HBO Based on the 5 stages of grief. i.e, denial, anger, withdrawals, depression and acceptance, the helpline will guide and support GOT fans through the many emotions they are feeling during each of the remaining episodes. All viewers need to do is give a missed call on 1800 313 6311 to get access to the #GOTHelpline. Whether they are in denial over the show coming to an end, or their anger burns with fiery rage towards the incidents on the show, or they are looking for a distraction, the #GOTHelpline is there to help. © Star World Through witty repartee, biting sarcasm and some of the most memorable moments and quotes from 'Game of Thrones', the helpline will help ease the anguish– whether it is the moment of disappointment when Jon leaves his beloved direwolf Ghost, to Tormund or the anger of Cersei's most recent betrayal when she didn't send her armies to Winterfell like she promised or even when Arya Stark takes the opportunity away from Jon Snow while becoming the AzorAhai. © HBO Through a special functionality made available for fans, they can even theorise and pay their respects to the show and its many characters over the #GoTHelpline. © HBO Now, with seven seasons of drama wrapped neatly under its belt and only one more episode to wrap everything up, things are going to move fast in the 'Game of Thrones' cosmos. Even then, there is no need to worry. Just dial the hotline number 1800 313 6311 and let the raven carry your sorrows to Westeros! © HBO Isn't this just the perfect light at the end of a dark tunnel? A helpline to get us through the end? Well, after episode 5 of season 8, we would certainly need some part of this IVR helpline. With a week left for the series to roll out its finale, it's going to be an emotional rollercoaster and we terribly hope this helpline can really help.
  5. A few days ago, Khaleel Ahmed was mocked by Virat Kohli who was seen having some fun at the left-handed seamer's expense. Following the group stage clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kohli was seen mocking Ahmed after hilariously impersonating his wicket celebration. Virat Kohli impersonating Khaleel celebrations ! #RCBvSRH pic.twitter.com/IIJBQelXnR — Trojan_Horse (@sampath0272) May 4, 2019 While RCB finished at the bottom of the table and failed to make the cut for the Playoffs, Ahmed's wicket celebration once again became the talk of the town during the Eliminator between Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals (DC). The Hyderabad seamer picked two crucial wickets in quick succession to keep his side in the hunt, but, in the end, Rishabh Pant's blitzkrieg turned the tide in Delhi favour as Hyderabad were eliminated following a two-wicket loss. What do you reckon Khaleel was trying to convey to Shreyas?#Eliminator #DCvSRH pic.twitter.com/vELwzcxmIw — IndianPremierLeague (@IPL) May 8, 2019 During Delhi's chase, Ahmed unveiled a unique wicket celebration wherein he was seen trying to make a mock phone call and talking to himself. While we've seen some animated celebrations in cricket, Ahmed's left everyone confused as to what exactly he was trying to do. Amongst the multiple theories, one that seems to have gained ground is that the Indian fast-bowler was trying to mock the selectors for overlooking him for the ICC World Cup squad. 7. Drake means well, but even he can't help but unintentionally cause a lot of damage. Drake's curse is a proven phenomenon that has been building up for years now. Basically, whenever Drake supports anyone publically - mostly a sportsperson or a sports team - they end up losing their next big match. Now, fans are worried for Arya Stark's well-being all because of Drake. The King of the North shouting out everyone's favorite Stark! ðº @Drake #BBMAs pic.twitter.com/MEhLAzKiTM — Billboard Music Awards (@BBMAs) May 2, 2019 This is not a one off thing, all the data and proof for it has been meticulously recorded by people over the years. The curse apparently hurt Alabama in this year's college football championship, cost Serena Williams the US Open in 2015, even got the Kentucky Wildcats eliminated in 2013, caused the Golden State Warriors' 2016 collapse in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, to name a few. There are probably more examples of the 'Drake Curse' and people are just hoping it doesn't affect fictional characters as such. While accepting his Billboard Music Award for Male Artist Of The Year last night, he gave a shoutout to Arya Stark and appreciated all the 'work she put in'. Everyone one the internet is praising Arya for being a badass, especially in the latest 'Game Of Thrones' episode, but there's a difference in everyone and Drake, as we discussed earlier. People are now worried about Arya and we all know who will be blamed now if she dies in the upcoming episodes. Well, Drake here's hoping this is the Drake Curse exception otherwise you'll have the GOT fandom - which is basically every person ever - blaming you. Oh no, Drake just cursed Arya. https://t.co/NPuvuex5eZ — Sean, from the internet (@theshow55) May 2, 2019 Yep. Drake's curse better not apply to fictional characters! I just have this strong feeling that Drake's next hit is going to have some Game of Thrones reference lyric about Arya Stark.. it's something he would do — sad naruto flute (@FaithRies) May 2, 2019
  8. Fashion is becoming all-inclusive, but once in an odd while, something pops up that makes us go 'Nope', without missing a beat. The latest example? Goth Crocs. Yes, it's a thing and we're very confused and scared. © Etsy © Etsy Goth Crocs are Crocs with spikes and chains, that look like torture devices to be worn on your feet, to torture your fashion sensibility. Crocs on their own, have been treading on thin ice for the longest time because let's face it, they aren't the best looking footwear around. In fact, the rubbery, chunky aesthetic reminds us more of flotation devices that you can hold on for dear life during a flood because these monstrosities aren't designed to drown. However, that clearly doesn't take away from their popularity because of the comfort factor. Who doesn't want to laze around inside the house (and sometimes even around the neighbourhood if you hate your neighbours hard enough) in a chunky pair of crocs that effectively shields you from any kind of (even inadvertent) social interaction? © Etsy The Goth crocs, however, are not officially manufactured by Crocs, and are sold by 'HeavyCreamStore' on Etsy. They cost about INR 17K without shipping. © Etsy All we can ask is, 'Why?'
  9. You would have seen bodybuilders walk around the gym with a gallon flask of coloured water in the gym. You must have watched videos of bodybuilders and fitness YouTubers/Instagram influencers preach BCAAs in their top 3 supplements to gain muscle. Or to maintain muscle during a fat loss phase. (And they stick a discount code where they get a kickback) via GIPHY Seeing this, you invest a few thousand bucks in a supplement that says build muscle, burn fat, etc. on the label. You start expecting incredible results. You finish the entire supplement. And nothing happens... If you're smart enough, you have read my article on BCAAs and stopped buying them altogether. Or you can still believe that they will help you preserve muscle doing fasted training and keep consuming it as it keeps you anabolic. You should not, though. Know why? Well, because it's nothing but a joke. Here's why: To build muscle, you need protein. Everyone knows that. Even the most uninformed trainer will stress the importance of protein. via GIPHY Protein is made up of 22 amino acids structurally, 9 of them are essential (they need to be consumed via your diet) and the others, non-essential. BCAAs are three essential amino acids. They are leucine, isoleucine, and valine. The reason BCAAs have become popular is that they contain the amino acid that triggers muscle protein synthesis. Namely, leucine. To build muscle, you need all the essential amino acids and not just the BCAAs. Supplementing only 3 of it does not help. Now, if you're training fasted and consuming BCAAs, the body will kick-start MPS. It still won't be able to carry out the process as the other 6 EAAs (essential amino acids) are missing. Your body will pull these 6 essential amino acids from the amino acid pool in your body. This, in turn, will lead to a decrease in the free amino acids in the amino acid pool and promote protein breakdown over time. Consuming BCAAs have also shown to reduce your muscle protein synthesis rates with time. Simply put, you will lose muscle in the long run if you are training fasted and consuming BCAAs. How to solve this problem? 1. Stop consuming BCAAs. Just ensure you're hitting adequate protein intake for the day Studies have shown that when compared like for like, Whey protein does a far superior job than BCAAs and EAAs in increasing the muscle protein synthesis rates. via GIPHY Prioritize your diet and get adequate protein from your food. If that is not possible, supplement with Whey protein. 2. Stop training fasted. There are literally no benefits to it Data points out that when comparing fasted vs fed training, there are no additional benefits to fat loss or muscle gain when nutrition and training are matched. If you are training fasted for additional benefits, they simply do not exist. BCAAs also have calories. So if you consume BCAAs, you are breaking your fast. Instead, have a small protein meal or a protein shake. 3. Just consume a protein shake if you train early in the morning and don't like having a solid meal via GIPHY That is what Whey protein is for. Simplicity and convenience. Use it that way. Again, it is not the Whey that will benefit you. It is the total protein intake for the day. Stop wasting your money on BCAAs. 10. Congress and BJP have never ever shied away from taking potshots at each other online, much to our amusement. I mean, two major political parties trying to troll one another will always be hilarious to me and also give people second-hand embarrassment, especially when it's not at all subtle, they go at it with direct hits. The last dig I remember is BJP releasing a 'Gully Boy' style rap against Rahul Gandhi and Congress last month, and the gif replies by Congress and AAP confirmed that we're in the weirdest timeline. Now, Congress is out here making memes out of PM Modi and the timeline is getting weirder and weirder. Now, while the audience had quite a bit to say about the teaser, Twitter wasted no time in turning the various aspects of the film, right from dialogues to the poster, into hilarious memes. 13. Will the real Melania Trump please stand up? No actually, for real. Everyone loves a good conspiracy theory and this one involving the US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump is a little too weird. In short, people online are convinced that Donald Trump brought along a body-double for his wife Melania and the woman in the picture is not actually FLOTUS. Yep, instead of people tweeting about #FakeNews and Donald Trump, the new big thing is #FakeMelania. While all these wild conspiracy theories are almost always bullshit, the proof for this one is right here and it's honestly a little convincing. Both of them recently visited communities in Eastern Alabama to pay their condolences after recent tornadoes hit the area claiming the lives of 23 people. This picture of them basically restarted the entire theory which first surfaced two years ago. I previously thought the #fakeMelania thing was bullshit but I actually don't think that's her. lol https://t.co/KQNekZy0pi — Danny//B ð (@OGBotterz) March 8, 2019 It's not acceptable at all. 14. Remember how much outrage there was when it became mandatory for all movie theatres to play the National Anthem before every movie? Well, Air India is also now doing something slightly similar. According to an Air India advisory, that was issued to all the crew members yesterday, they now have to say 'Jai Hind' with a “slight pause and much fervour” after every single announcement that is made. 15. There is saying that goes “honest hearts produce honest actions”, and though most of us choose to believe that honesty as a virtue has become a rare quality to be found in an individual, we need to revisit and revise. Perhaps, it is the fact that people who come from lesser means know what it is like to go through days only keeping the next two meals in mind, that they are more than happy to be making honest money, no matter how little that might be, which is enough to ensure a sated tummy and some peaceful sleep. © Facebook While many would argue what such honesty can get someone in today's time when most people have resorted to clever means and dishonest ways of making quick bucks, we like to say, apparently a lot. Honesty can help you earn Rs. 30,000 for a Rs. 20 service! A Norwegian YouTuber named Harald Baldr, who is currently on a tour of India, decided to get a haircut from a street barber in Ahmedabad. When Harald asks the barber about his charges, he honestly says it's Rs. 20. Unlike most shopkeepers and service providers in India who hike the prices of their goods and services for foreigners, he hadn't followed the same tactic. This along with his dedication towards his work impressed Harald. So, once the haircut was done, Harald decided to not only pay for his haircut but topped it up with a donation of Rs. 30,000. Harald takes the help of an English-speaking local to inform the hairdresser that he is donating the money so that the hairdresser can get some new tools and do something good for his family. © Facebook That is not all, Harald also shares that this wouldn't be the last time he is helping someone since he plans on helping other people and entrepreneurs in need throughout his future journeys, and use up his earnings and Patreon donations for the cause. Kudos to Harald for the thoughtful act and we are sure this action will only result in a ripple effect, and even barber will “pay it forward” in kindness.
  16. The act of gifting can be a particularly difficult pain in the behind. Especially if you're someone who in spite of trying multiple times, cannot help but stare at failure over and over again. And damn, sitting in the month that celebrates Valentine's Day only makes the pressure worse, doesn't it? But don't fret! You can thank us later for giving you a lowdown on this go-to list about what to buy and what not to buy when picking a gift for your girlfriend or wife! So all disheartened little souls, to keep up with Valentine's Day, there's Flipkart that brings to you the FlipHeart Days, with great deals and discounts. Follow these recommendations to the T, and you'll surely be good to go: 1. If you want your girlfriend to really appreciate your choice, get her the latest book by her favourite author or the collection of their works! There's nothing more romantic than the sweet sound of your partner reading her favourite book out loud while you're chilling together. Dharma Productions 2. If your girlfriend loves Marvel movies, why not gift her something that has more longevity than comic books. Like a Groot Planter Flower Pot for her to keep on her office desk as a reminder of her love for Marvel and of course, you. Sahil Kedia/MensXP 3. Buying a pair of sunglasses for your girlfriend can be a risky business. With things like face-structure, nose-structure, frame, etc. to keep in mind, you might get that wrong. Why not buy her something that's completely tried and tested. Like a perfume that she loves to wear! You cannot go wrong with that. Dharma Productions 4. So, let's be honest... buying a piece of jewellery for your partner is risky to the max. You can never be sure whether they will like it or not and good morning, most jewellery items CANNOT be returned. So why not put your money in something that you're sure they'd love, like lipsticks? Think Wet 'n' Wild, Maybelline, Makeup Revolution etc. 5. Pamper your busy-bee girlfriend with a long bath on Valentine's Day, because doesn't she deserve that the most? Get essential oils, flowers, and candles, and decorate your bathroom to look like an in-house spa! Safe to say she would like it more than being taken out to a fancy restaurant for food and drinks! Flipkart has the widest selection across beauty, grooming, books, toys, chocolates, and home décor. 17. A decade ago, on the morning of January 22, 2008, Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight' became the only superhero film to be nominated in a record-breaking 8 categories, a stature that has not been achieved by any superhero genre film till date. via GIPHY The heartbreaking reality associated with this film that still pinches the movie buffs happens to be its exclusion from being nominated in the Best Picture category. Years later, just a day after the announcement of nominations of the 91st Academy Awards, the world is contemplating a rather historic moment that might change the whole significance of the Oscars forever. Ryan Coogler's tour-de-force 'Black Panther', which is a superhero saga, has been nominated for the Oscars in multiple categories including the esteemed Best Picture category. via GIPHY “Wakanda forever”, tweeted 'Black Panther's' lead actress Lupita Nyong'o, as she shared her extreme delight on the micro-blogging platform, regarding the film's nominations. Since then, social media has been buzzing with tweets, comments, and memes. Seven #OscarNoms for #BlackPanther, including best picture!! This is our reaction the first time we saw footage from the film and we're feeling this way all over again today! Thank you @TheAcademy! #WakandaForever #Oscars pic.twitter.com/lXWv3nsN90 — Lupita Nyong'o (@Lupita_Nyongo) January 22, 2019 Where on one hand, the film has been declared a shape-shifting cultural phenomenon prominently at various award ceremonies this year, others are fuming over the Academy's decision of putting the film in the Best Picture category. Who can forget the ultimate dismissal of 'The Dark Knight'? On the 10th death anniversary of Heath Ledger (Joker), fans remember! via GIPHY If we take a look back at Christopher Nolan's 'Batman' sequel, the film got nominated in eight categories and ended up winning two including the posthumous win by Heath Ledger who portrayed Joker in the film. The only possible reason behind the Best Picture nomination snub for 'The Dark Knight' is believed to be the Academy's limit on the number of candidates in this category. 'Black Panther's' nomination is being termed historic, however, one can't help but wonder if it's because of the controversial history of 'The Dark Knight' at the Oscars that the Marvel film got to this juncture? Does 'Black Panther' owe its nomination to the biggest snub of all time – the dismissal of Christopher Nolan's beloved project? via GIPHY 2019 brings more room for nominees in the Best Picture category and the number has been increased from 5 to between 5 and 10 films. That makes us think more and deeply about the loss 'The Dark Knight' faced at the hands of the Academy. Other films that have got nominated this year are 'A Star Is Born', 'Vice', 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'The Favourite', 'BlacKkKlansman', 'Green Book' and 'Roma'. But what are the chances of 'Black Panther's' win? The Academy has been famously known for dropping the last minute bombs! Remember the highly criticized 'La La Land' fiasco? As critics said, 'Moonlight's'well-deserved win was taken from their hands and the wrong film was announced on purpose, we don't know what the truth is, but two years later, we know that Hollywood is trying to prove a point here. via GIPHY In simple words, 'Black Panther's' nomination may just be a kind gesture by the Academy to avoid the 'Oscars So White' tirade! When the film surpassed James Cameron's 'Titanic' and became the third highest grossing movie ever in the United States, there came the indication that the Academy might consider it. However, this nomination is indeed a sheer surprise for us. via GIPHY Though stigma has taken a back seat and the film deserves an equal opportunity to win, but somehow, it is meant to be snubbed! Otherwise, it would be a naive but well-planned catastrophe directed towards Mr Nolan.
  18. Aah, flat earthers, the best thing that has happened to us, just because of how much entertainment they provide us with. As the name suggests, they obviously believe that the earth is flat, but that was getting so boring, they've also ventured out into new, more exciting shapes. Yes, pancake earth is cool, but it's got nothing on donut earth. You have to give them full props, though, because you have to be really creative to come us with stuff like this. It's okay that they're not putting this creativity into something more productive, but hey, at least we're entertained by their absurdity. Remember that glorious time when everyone was questioning Australia's existence? A flat earther, or rather an ex flat earther suggests that the earth isn't flat but shaped like a torus. So basically, we live on top of a giant donut. Wait, are we all just sprinkles on top of this donut? I don't mind that at all, tbh. In the Flat Earth Society forum, user Varuag introduced people to donut earth. He started by basically explain how any conspiracy theory is formed, “I was wondering how a theory like FE theory gets formed, and I came to the conclusion that someone must've thought of the original idea, and then it must've been followed by a long series of people pointing out flaws and then re-adjusting the theory (or thinking of new ideas) to iron out the flaws in the theory.” © Imgur He went on, “I have a theory that the Earth is in fact shaped like a torus (a donut-shape). However, light is curved so we cannot tell.” He also got into further detail, “Radio waves are reflected by the atmosphere (hence why we don't need to set up several towers to transmit radio waves across very long distances). Light waves are also reflected in a similar way. When we look across, the light diminishes as it travels, and by the time it reaches the atmosphere, it is diminished enough to be reflected. The light will then hit another corner of atmosphere and so on and so forth, curving every time. This gives the impression that the Earth is flat (or has a slight curvature).” His post was in the form of a Q&A and he made sure to answer an important question – Why can't we see the opposite side of the donut earth when standing on the surface in the middle? Here's the answer, “When you stand in the middle of the TE and look up, the light passes through the first atmosphere it reaches. However, by the time it reaches the second atmosphere (the one to re-enter the atmosphere of the TE) it has diminished enough to be reflected, and gets reflected into space, so you see space.” Well, here's how our donut earth was formed – “It is possible for two objects to orbit each other (google binary stars). This means that you have two objects moving around in an orbit, but there is nothing in the centre of the orbit (as their own masses provide the weight for the centripetal force of Gravity, which causes them to move in a circular-ish motion. Now, it is also possible to have 3 objects orbiting each other, or 4, or 5 etc. Now, the TE was formed when a large amount of objects orbited each other like this. As time went on, their gravity pulled in more space rocks and dust etc and the shape grew, eventually becoming a fully-formed torus.” Oh, and my personal fav quote from the post – “Place your donut on its side. The side that touches the table is the south pole, the side on the other side is the north pole.” Here's the entire post – Donut Earth.
  19. When it’s about re-engineering running technology, you bet Nike’s cooking up something. The running market is forever growing and Nike leaves no stone unturned to take the lead. The latest offering for runners out of its stable is the Free RN Flyknit. As soon as it came out, we got our hands on a pair and put it to a field test. Should you buy it? Here’s the answer. It’s Weightless! © YouTube It’s literally weightless. Yup, as light as a feather, it feels like you are barely dragging a shoe along. The traditional FlyKnit upper combined with the tristar-sole makes it the lightest shoe we have ever reviewed. It’s so light that it wouldn’t be wrong calling them ‘socks’ instead of a shoe. It’s So Flexible That You Can Roll It Up And Fit It In Your Pocket © YouTube Nope, we didn’t really do it but if you squeeze it and roll it up on purpose, it might just fit into your pocket. Again, the magic here are the impeccably crafted upper and the foam tri-sole. Th upper is literally strength fiber woven together. We tried twisting and turning it every way possible and it bounced back right back its original form, unscathed. The Sole © YouTube The craziest part of this shoe is its sole. It is literally a grid of tri-star chunks of foam perfectly aligned together. The logical behind this new ‘sole construct’ is that it lets the foot move in its natural ‘curve and extend’ movement. The Run © YouTube After we were done playing around, we threw them on and hit the tarmac. We essentially ran on the road. Exactly how a lot of runners in India do it. The impact response of the shoe is pretty smooth. Instead of feeling a hard rebound thump on the foot, the sole absorbs the shock pretty effortlessly. There’s just a mere 4 mm drop on the heel on a sole 90% made of foam, so that explains a lot itself. Buy Or Nah? © YouTube If you love running, this shoe is for you. It fits like a dream and enhances the running stance. It’s light and looks pretty sturdy. But the interesting part here is that it can also double up as an ‘inside-the-gym’ shoe. Just don’t squat or deadlift wearing running shoes!

Steroid usage in the recent times has become as normal as people taking protein shakes post workout. Like it was/is pretty normal to have a shake of whey if you go to the gym, the same holds true for anabolic steroids. Boys, in their teenage, are pinning needles to their butts just to look a certain way and think that it will instantly make them buff up and become muscular. But does that always happen? Let's find out. Guys these days, looking at their #fitspiration bros on Instagram, have started taking steroids even before learning how to squat or bench correctly. And boys tend to make this assumption that they are definitely going to get huge and look jacked just because they are taking steroids. There are two components that play a role in how well you may look if you start taking steroids 1. Your natural muscle building genetic potential. 2. Your response to anabolic androgenic steroids (AAS). Now, there are guys who may be skinny fat or be fat normally without training whereas there would be some who look lean and have abs without any training as well. This also comes down to lifestyle choices and factors. Taking the above two considerations and doing permutations and combinations, we get four scenarios. Let's look into all of them. © YouTube 1. You have a great muscle building genetic potential and your response to anabolic steroids is great. If this is the case, you might as well go on and end up winning Mr. Olympia and bag a trophy for yourself. These are the hyper-responders to both training and AAS which will lead to a very strong synergetic effect and make you gain mass like a monster. 2. You have a great muscle building genetic potential and your response to anabolic steroids is poor. This is a very real possibility and there would be individuals who respond magically to training alone, they just blow up on touching the weights. But when they go the dark side, they do not have much growth or a very negligible response to AAS, if any. For them, taking AAS does not provide any benefit in terms of muscle growth. 3. You have a poor muscle building genetic potential and your response to anabolic steroids is great. These are those hard workers in the gym who do not show any impressive changes in their physiques irrespective of how many hours of dedicated work they put into training, having a great diet, etc. But once they go to the dark side, they have that magical overnight muscle building transformation that Captain America had in the sleeping pod. They magically get buff and huge. © YouTube 4. You have a poor muscle building genetic potential and your response to anabolic steroids is poor. The permanently doomed individuals as I'd like to call them. No matter what they do, no matter how many drugs they take, they will still look like they do not lift at all. So, if you are someone who really wants to go the dark side and be enhanced, it is still better to take a decision after getting 8 to 10 years of serious training and nutrition under the belt. 22. The final trailer of the much-awaited 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them: The Crimes Of Grindelwald' is out, and Potterheads are in a frenzy right now. Fans have been freaking out about a new revelation in the trailer, and it just reiterates our belief, that when it comes to weaving a story that will engulf you into its layered depths, till you're completely submerged and are gasping for that elusive bit of clarity, all the while enjoying your whirlwind ride in its quest through the story, JK Rowling is undoubtedly the mother of them all. While the trailer gave us a lot to talk about, let's focus on the biggest, most obvious bomb it dropped - the truth about Nagini's mysterious past. © YouTube © YouTube From the trailer, it became obvious that Nagini, the huge, terrifying snake that's also Voldemort's loyal pet and the last Horcrux, wasn't just a regular snake. She used to be a woman, who was very much human. The first guess of fans, obviously, was that Nagini was an Animagus, but Rowling was quick to quash that theory and clarified, that Nagini wasn't an Animagus, but a 'Maledictus' instead. © Twitter For the uninitiated, an 'Animagus' is a witch or wizard with the rare ability to transform into a particular animal at will. A 'Maledictus', on the other hand, is a female individual who is a carrier of a blood curse that would eventually lead her to turn into a beast. The curse is carried from birth and is passed down from mother to daughter. Rowling clarified this after a fan asked her whether Lycanthropy (the transformation of a person into a wolf, one that werewolves go through) was related to the condition. © Twitter About the etymology of the word 'Maledictus', Mal- is a prefix of Latin origin meaning "bad", "wrongful", or "ill". Dictus in Latin means "spoken". Roughly translated, Maledictus could mean "spoken ill of" or "cursed". However, could it also have another hidden connotation? Perhaps something related to - one who can speak 'bad' or 'evil'? Perhaps, wait for it, Parseltongue? Given Nagini was a woman who could transform into a snake, and eventually went over to its irreversible form, she had to be a Parselmouth. Also, as we all know, 'Nagini' or 'Nagin' refers to a female snake or a woman who can transform into a snake at will. Let's just say, Rowling + Etymological/Linguistic Symbolism = Goosebumps. © Twitter Now, let's move over to why this new revelation is more twisted than meets the eye. As no one knows the story yet, let us just put forth some questions that the fandom is crazily invested in at the moment: 1. Were Credence and Nagini a couple? In the poster, we can see them sitting together, like a couple. © Twitter Credence joined the Arcanus Circus because of his capabilities as an Obscurus, and Nagini was already a part of it as 'The enchanting snake girl'. They probably sought comfort in each other, while fighting their respective battles? © Twitter 2. Was Voldemort's pet Nagini the same Nagini we see in the trailer? Or was she the possible daughter of Credence and Nagini- the one in the trailer? We know that a mother Maledictus passes it on to her daughter, after all. 3. What was Voldemort's relationship with Nagini? Was it only of a master and his pet? Or was it more than meets the eye? He was extremely fond of her, and that probably had more to do with her being a Horcrux. Is there a history? Could she still have been a human when he found her in Albania? Or had she already irreversibly transformed into her snake self? © Twitter 4. Actress Claudia Kim has mentioned that Nagini wasn't always evil, and that we will get to see a humane and vulnerable side of her in the movie - that of a girl who wanted to stay human. Did she continue to not be evil post her transformation? Did Voldemort convert her into a murderous serpent once he turned her into a Horcrux? What did he mean when he asked Wormtail to 'milk' Nagini? All we can say is that our minds are blown, and we need answers. If you can't wait for the movie, high five! *Screams internally* Here's the trailer.
