  1. The 46-year old actress who played Ellaria Sand in the widely famous HBO fantasy series recently confirmed that she has been tested positive for coronavirus
  2. 'Game Of Thrones' is in the final season as the show comes to a close in about a month. The fantasy show is one of the most pirated TV series on the planet and is also one of the reasons for its major success. The Season premiere of the show was leaked online an hour earlier by DirectTV last week; however, the second episode was leaked well in advance. © HBO The second episode of GOT Season 8 was leaked by none other than Amazon Prime as it was green-lit to go live on Amazon Prime Germany, 8 hours before the world premiere. The leak was taken down but many got to see the entire episode way before it even came to the airwaves — including us. The episode was later uploaded on many websites and torrent posters with spoilers about the episode starting to leak on social media. © HBO HBO went to great lengths to keep the final show a secret such as dodging drones during filming, only letting the cast read some chunks of the script and stop offering screeners to press for this season. Screeners are usually leaked online thanks to some rogue journalist who cannot fight the temptation. However, this time around the leak came from Amazon Prime, the streaming giant partnered with HBO for GOT in Germany. We have seen episodes leaked by partners before; however, HBO has also been victim to leaks because of their own mistakes. © HBO The leaked episode was spotted in the back pages of Reddit and then was shared across all social media platforms. Some die-hard GOT fans waited for the full HD version of the new episode but there were some fans who could not wait. GOT premieres each episode globally at the same time. However, it does get hard to manage so many regions. Leaks are inevitable and we suspect that this will not be the last leak for the final season.
  3. Do you know anybody who is a fan of Game Of Thrones? Tired of them telling you about it?
  4. 'Game Of Thrones' first premiered in April, 2011. In the beginning it was just another show adapted from a book series. Today, GOT has become a huge cultural phenomenon in itself. Not only has it garnered a massive global following, but also has a number of storylines intertwined, with the most deaths witnessed in a show ever with an approximate of 174,373 people lost in all GOT episodes in the past seven seasons according to the youtuber Razon Compilations. This number is speculated to double up this season. However, the seventh season was premiered almost two years ago leaving us on a cliffhanger after the impactful series finale. Questions like: Who will sit on the Iron Throne? Or will everyone die by the hands of the White Walkers? Who is Azor Ahai? Will Jon and Dany still have *** after realizing she's his aunt? Questions that have bothered and haunted us for so long. And now that we are ready to watch the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' on Hotstar every Monday 6.30 am starting April 15, it's only obvious we can hardly wait. So, here is a list of super important questions that we need answers to this season. 1. What Will Happen To Brienne And Tormund's Unfinished Story? © HBO While we admire Tormund Giantsbane for his grizzly red beard and unhinged passion for fighting and killing people, his attraction to Brienne in the last season of GOT has really made us invested in this situation. But, in the coming episodes of 'Game Of Thrones', will she get the knighthood she deserves or will she fall for the marriage narrative that restricts women? We'll only know in the coming days. 2. When Will The Army Of The Dead Reach Winterfell? © HBO It took eight seasons to characterize the background of the Winter and the impending doom for this civilisation. The army of the dead were approaching at an alarming speed by the end of the last season of GOT, but how long before they attack Winterfell and take everyone down? Or will they be defeated before? Which episode of Game Of Thrones do you think this will happen? 3. What Happens To Jon And Dany's Relationship Once They Find Out They're Related Through Blood? © HBO Will it be Bran or Sam, Jon's closest friend who breaks the news to Jon? Dany (https://www.mensxp.com/entertainment/news/51880-game-of-thrones-episode-1.html) might not mind the fact that she's Jon's aunt but she will mind if she finds out that Jon is next in line and not her. After Gilly's perusal of an old Archmaester's records, Sam has learned that Rhaegar's marriage to Elia was annulled and the Targaryen prince wed “someone else” in “a secret ceremony in Dorne. This means that Jon is Rhaegar's true-born son and legitimate heir and that is a major unresolved conflict waiting right there. 4. Dany's Dragons Are Fierce But How Do You Even Kill Ice Dragons? © HBO The Night King hurled his spear at Viserion and resurrected him as an ice dragon. Now, we all know killing white walkers is practically impossible. So, how do you get around killing a full-fledged ice dragon? Can mortal people bring Viserion down? Following wight logic, fire, drowning, Valyrian steel, and/or dragonglass could slay the undead beast. But we don't think this beast is going down without causing major damage. Expect major deaths because of it or at least that's what we think. 5. Is Literally Everything Bran's Fault? © HBO The cute little kid who climbed walls and dreamed of being a fierce warrior is long gone. The know-it-all-Bran is cold and indifferent to the world around. With his gifted vision, he can change past events. When he “visits” his father at the Tower of Joy, he calls out to Young Ned, and Ned looks around as if he hears the voice. When he warged into Hodor's body, his connection between the past and present, between Meera shouting “hold the door” and poor young Hodor's mind left an irreparable scar on Hodor which we could not forget. If Bran can manipulate things, what if he set off the chaos by driving Aerys to madness? Side note: Aerys could hear voices that told him to burn things. 6. Who Is The Promised Azor Ahai? © HBO Is it Dany like she assumes, or is it Jon with the whole dramatic unveiling of his birth in the last season or is it... wait for it... Tyrion? Tyrion has been consistently underestimated and is possibly a Targaryen himself. Think about it: he had “dragon dreams” as a kid, and he is the only person besides Daenerys and Jon who has been able to touch a dragon. There must be some logic to that, right? I mean why do the dragons like him and no other mortal to touch them? Joanna Lannister, Tyrion's mother, died on her deathbed and Tywin really hated Tyrion so much and for so long that if you recall his last words, “You're no son of mine" it does suggest that the probability of rape at the hands of the Mad King. What if he's the promised one and not Jon and Dany? So, what do you think? Are you as excited as us to find the answers to these questions at the earliest? Or are these questions too much to handle at the moment? Whatever it is, WE CANNOT WAIT.
  5. The much-awaited finale season of everyone's favourite 'Game Of Thrones' is not airing this year and everyone is already having withdrawal symptoms. However, we still manage to keep our sanity intact, thanks to the bits and pieces of information about our beloved stars that keep floating around. © HBO In a recently shot video, our favourite 'Khaleesi' aka Emilia Clarke almost gave us a peek into the set of GOT and we are shook because we wanted to walk through those doors to see what magic lay beyond them! While we waited for the doors to open desperately, we were only met with angry producers shouting, a livid Jon Snow asking her to shut the camera and alarms buzzing off every time she opened a door. However, a few lucky winners can actually tour the set in Belfast by donating to the website which she mentions on the video. The finale is going to be a nail biting affair indeed. With the final battle, the white walkers and the Night King lusting for human life and Jon Snow falling for Khaleesi, it is literally impossible to wait and hold on for the season to appear next April.
  6. With its murderous power struggles and internecine civil wars, Games of Thrones has undoubtedly established itself as one of the highly sought after and exciting television series over the years. No other TV series has managed to capture our imagination the way the thrilling spectacle of ancient realms engaged in no-holds-barred combat in GoT did in its seven nerve-racking seasons so far. Who would've thought that the battle between nine noble families for control over the mythical lands of Westeros will eventually become bigger than reality? But, it did. Men fighting amongst themselves is not new. What's new and seems to work for GoT creators is the fact that men are just part of its bigger and greater ploy. Apart from the envious talent of war on display, the show thrives on sinister plots bolstered with magic and fire-breathing dragons. And, if that wasn't enough, the mystery around the 'White Walkers' and their notorious blue-eyed leader the 'Night King' further set our hearts racing. © HBO And, as all good things must come to an end, the HBO masterpiece which has enthralled fans since 2011 is set for its final hurrah. Touted as a befitting finale which will showcase the mother of all battles, the much-anticipated eighth season of the GoT will mark the end of what has been a great journey for the show when it airs in 2019. But, 2019 is still far and while fans continue to speculate the ending and the fate of its stars including fan-favorite Jon Snow, we decided to combine GoT with another popular and much-older spectacle we all have come to know as the game of cricket. So as you count the days for the final season, here's a look at the cricketers who could replace the popular GoT characters: MS Dhoni As Jon Snow © HBO, BCCL While Dhoni and Snow might not look the same, they both share similar characteristics and struggles in their respective journey. For starters, Snow sports long hair and so did Dhoni back in the day. After the death of Ned and Robb Stark, we all thought that the Starks were done for good. But, Snow rose to the occasion and didn't just save his family name, but went on to become the 'King in the North'. Similarly, after the dawn of Sourav Ganguly's captaincy era, cricket pundits and fans were left wondering how India will cope in international cricket. And, just like Snow, Dhoni stood up and went on to establish himself as one of the most successful Indian captains in history. He is the only captain to have won all three major ICC events - World Cup, Champions Trophy, and World T20. The only difference is that you can't quote Ygritte's famous line 'You know nothing Jon Snow' for Dhoni because this man seems to know everything there is in cricket. Virat Kohli As Khal Drogo © HBO, BCCL In the first season, Khal Drogo undoubtedly emerged as one of the strongest characters of the GoT. A chieftain of the Dothraki khalasar, Drogo was feared by all for his savagery, brutality, and lack of remorse towards his opponents. Leading from the front, his fearless attitude earned him the respect of his horde. In somewhat similar manner, Virat Kohli's rise in international cricket has been no different. Thriving on aggression and his passion for cricket, the Indian batting sensation has been the force to be reckoned with. He doesn't shy away from a grueling contest, while his savagery and brutality with the willow seem no different than Drogo's. Kohli's ruthlessness and sheer determination to win has elevated him to the position of Team India captain. Under his leadership, India has managed to scale new heights and continue to be one of the most feared sides in international cricket. Ellyse Perry As Daenerys Targaryen © HBO, Instagram/@ellyseperry Daenerys 'Stormborn' Targaryen - aka the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Breaker of Chains, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons, Queen of the Andals, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and also the possessor of the longest name in the history of GoT - is a fearless character who was thrown into the mix at a young age when she married Khal Drogo. She is driven, vastly feared and greatly respected. In Ellyse Perry, we find a certain Daenerys Targaryen in women's cricket. Just like the Dragon mother, Perry was also thrown into conflict at an early age. She debuted at the age of 16 and became the youngest Australian ever to play international cricket. Since then, there has been no turning back for the 27-year-old who is now a vital cog in the Aussie side. On the other hand, just like Daenerys who dons many titles, Perry, too, has managed to prove his worth in many fields. Apart from her cricketing career, Perry played for Australia in the women's football World Cup. She is the first woman to represent the country in World Cups in two different sports. Away from the playing field, Perry is also a successful model and has featured on the covers of popular magazines. Chris Gayle As The Mountain © HBO, Instagram/@chrisgayle333 One of the most savage and brutal characters, Gregor Clegane aka the Mountain has made a name for mastering the art of killing people. His brute force, towering stature and insatiable bloodlust has seen him getting the better of his opponents in combat. And, despite his near-death experience, the Mountain has somehow managed to stay alive doing what others have only failed to do. Chris Gayle is arguably the Mountain of international cricket. Just like the GoT character, the Jamaican marauder is strong and well built to give his opponents a run for their money. He might not wield the sword, but if you've seen his capabilities with the willow you'd agree that the southpaw would surely make the Mountain proud. The Universe Boss boasts of superhuman strength and is more than capable of single-handedly destroying the opposition. He might not be as serious as the Mountain but give Gayle a cricket bat and you would see the West Indian emulating the GoT character with similar savagery and aggression in his batting. And, that's exactly why - despite his inconsistent form - Gayle continues to be one of the most destructive batsmen in the world. Ben Stokes As Tormund © HBO, Reuters Thanks to red hair, both Ben Stokes and Tormund strike an immediate resemblance. After the death of Mance Rayder, the free folk seemed lost without their true leader until Tormund rose to the occasion and gave them hope. But, despite being an ardent devotee to the wildlings' cause, Tormund lost an important battle against the Wall. Similarly, Stokes - who was one of the vital cogs for England and could have very well been their hero - lost the most important battle of his career against Carlos Brathwaite whose last-over power-hitting propelled West Indies to the World T20 title. But, despite losing their respective battles, both Tormund and Stokes managed to turn the tide against them. While Tormund thrived under the leadership of Jon Snow, Stokes learned from his mistakes and continues to be an important player for England. And if that doesn't put these guys together, then the video of Stokes involved in a bare-knuckle brawl on the streets of Bristol will surely make you a believer. David Warner As The Hound © HBO, BCCL Sandor Clegane aka the Hound is famous for his fierce nature and unquestioning obedience to his masters. But, despite serving the realm of King's Landing, the Hound has rarely been seen giving a damn about the proceedings as he came to loathe the hypocrisy of knighthood in general. David Warner, the pocket-dynamite from Australia, is as fierce as the Hound with the willow. Batting at the top of the order, Warner possesses all shots in his armory to annihilate the opposition. Giving little respect to the reputation of the opposing bowler, Warner flays his shots exactly the way his GoT equivalent wields the sword. The lesser-notorious of the two Cleganes, the Hound was also seen standing up for what was right in the TV show. Similarly, Warner gave a befitting reply (a right-hook) to England's Joe Root after he allegedly made fun of Hashim Amla by putting a fake beard during their late-night drinking session in Birmingham. Ravi Shastri As Lord Baelish © HBO, BCCL Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger has been one of GoT's power players since the beginning of the show. Lord Baelish was often seen lurking in the shadows away from the limelight, but his ability to make friends with the most influential people allowed him to move the pieces and play the game from behind. Not the one to be trusted, he kept on changing sides for his personal endeavors. On the other hand, Ravi Shastri - a former Indian cricketer - is widely respected in the sport. Despite his retirement, Shastri returned to the sport in the role of a commentator. And, just like Lord Baelish, his resources in important positions allowed him to take the reins as Team India's head coach. It is largely believed that Shastri played a significant role in the ouster of former Indian coach Anil Kumble who resigned after a year of commendable results for the team. Kohli reportedly wanted Shastri in Kumble's position and in the end, that's what happened. Both, Lord Baelish and Shastri might not seem too important, but they are surely relevant characters in every story. Yuvraj Singh As Ser Jorah © HBO, BCCL The former head of House Mormont and Lord of the Bear Island, Ser Jorah Mormont was forced to live in exile after fleeing Westeros in a bid to escape execution for trading in slaves. He became a mercenary in the Free Cities before eventually entering the service of Daenerys Targaryen who later banished him for being one of Varys' spy. Similarly, Yuvraj Singh - who was once a crucial player for his side - was also dropped from the Indian cricket team. While Yuvi didn't spy on anyone, his slump in form was the reason behind his banishment. Though many thought it was the end of the road for both Ser Jorah and Yuvi, the two warriors came back strong and proved their detractors wrong. While Ser Jorah foiled the assassination of Daenerys in the fighting pits of Meereen to mark his return, Yuvraj smashed a thunderous 150 early in 2017 to reclaim his spot in India's limited-overs side. Both, are the men of hardwork whose successful comebacks came on the back of their never-say-die attitude. AB de Villiers As The Night King © HBO, Reuters In the tale of seven kingdoms, no other character has managed to grab the attention of viewers the way the Night King has. Whether it's about his grand plan for King's Landing or the reasons to threaten the Seven Kingdoms, there is just so much mystery around this character that the fans can't help but speculate what's on his mind. For someone who has no limits to his powers, the Night King can pretty much do anything he wants. When it comes to cricket, there is only one man with limitless powers as the Night King - AB de Villiers. The South African, just like the GoT character, has no competition in international cricket. His unique 360-degrees batting style has allowed him to get the better of his opposition, while De Villiers' wide array of shots are capable of countering any bowler in the world. And, just like the Night King who must be seen to be believed he's for real, humans never believed that such a cricketer ever existed until they saw the exploits of ABD on the cricket field. The only difference between the two: one is hated to the fullest and the other is loved beyond boundaries. Kevin Pietersen As Ser Jaime Lannister © HBO, Reuters There's little doubt that Ser Jamie Lannister is one of the fiercest warriors and most-respected swordsman in all of Westeros. But, still, despite all his swordsmanship, he is undeniably one of the most hated and misunderstood characters on the show. It's safe to say that Kevin Pietersen's journey in international cricket, while it lasted, reminisces of Ser Jamie's voyage in GoT. Despite his genius with the bat which often aided the English side, KP was banished from the national team amid much hullabaloo. While Ser Jamie went against the throne to kill 'Mad King' Aerys Targareyn for personal gains, KP conspired against his captain Andrew Strauss, poking fun at him in a message to South African players where he called the England skipper a "doos" - an Afrikaaner word for "dick" or "idiot". Well, that pretty much sums up our recasting of the Game of Thrones with popular cricketers. The idea was not to insult anyone, rather this was only aimed to tickle the funny bones of GoT and cricket fans across the globe. Do watch this space for the second edition of the GoT recasting, till then, "Valar Morghulis, Valar Dohaeris".
  7. Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, took to Instagram to announce her engagement to Joe Jonas, her boyfriend of almost a year. Turner and the singer of the famed Jonas Brothers band have been dating since November and made their relationship public in January. Even then, the couple continued to remain discreet so much so that they have never been photographed together in any official capacity. It?s only on each other?s social media or some random shot by a photographer where they?ve appeared together. "You do feel like you're living in a fishbowl," the 21-year-old said in a recent interview with Marie Claire about her relationship. "It's frustrating [that] it's the most mundane things that make the news -- how boring! There are really no other headlines?" Only last month, GoT fans were pleasantly surprised when the show?s actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played Jon Snow and Ygritte, confirmed their engagement. In quite an old-school manner, the two announced their engagement through a notice in a newspaper, while Turner and her significant other thought to cool to show off their engagement rings on Instagram.
  8. LONDON: European pay-TV giant Sky, facing a possible takeover by Rupert Murdoch´s 21st Century Fox, announced Thursday a surge in subscribers on keen demand for cult US series Game of Thrones. Sky's subscriber base swelled by a 160,000 new customers in the three months to late September, up 51 percent on a year earlier, it said in a trading update. Revenues grew five percent to £3.3 billion ($4.4 billion, 3.7 billion euros) over the same period. Underlying profit, which strips out items such as tax and interest payments, jumped 11 percent to £582 million. "We've had a strong start to our new financial year with good revenue growth and excellent profit growth," said chief executive Jeremy Darroch. He added: "Game of Thrones has become the most watched series ever on Sky." The London-listed group has exclusive rights to US broadcasting giant HBO´s television catalogue, which includes the current season of the award-winning show. Later on Thursday, shareholders voted in favour of the re-election of Murdoch´s son James as chairman. Some investor groups had expressed unease over him serving longer, in light of James being also chief executive of 21st Century Fox -- which is seeking to buy the 61 percent of Sky it does not already own. However, investors voted more than 78 percent in favour of his re-election at an annual general meeting at Sky´s London headquarters later on Thursday. One angry shareholder argued that the deal would not go through if James Murdoch remained in his post. "If everything remains the same (on the board) you have no chance of the deal going through," the shareholder, who declined to be named, told the meeting. "There´s nothing wrong with Mr Murdoch -- but it is because of the name." Meanwhile, the takeover of Sky is being held up by a UK investigation into the proposed deal worth £11.7 billion. Regulators on Tuesday said the probe would assess Rupert Murdoch´s influence on Britain´s political landscape. Overall, Britain´s Competitions and Markets Authority will assess the impact of the Murdoch family´s proposed deal on both broadcasting standards and media plurality. The CMA will seek to prevent "anyone media owner, or voice, having too much influence over public opinion and the political agenda". The regulator´s probe will scrutinise the ability of the Murdoch Family Trust (MFT) to "control or influence editorial and commercial decisions" at Sky News, a 24-hour news channel broadcast from London. It will assess also the current state of plurality within the UK media, and the commitment to accuracy in newspapers controlled by the MFT´s News Corp division, including The Times and The Sun.
  9. When you think of Game of Thrones, the first thing that comes to mind is bloodshed, ***, dragons, betrayals, love, war, and revenge. And who can forget the incestuous drama, white walkers, the three eyed raven, ghost, the list goes on and on. But coming back to the main point, there is no other show that gives you a combination of all these factors merged in one. Hence it doesn't surprise us that it is one of the most watched shows around the globe. (c) HBO So when the demand is that huge, it is obvious that the expenditure can't be small as well. The kind of cash the GOT cast makes per episode already made our eyes pop. And as if that wasn't enough, latest Variety reports state that HBO is all in, shelling out an obscene amount of cash per episode. HBO is set to spend $15 million per episode! Yep you read that right. The article also states that usually the budget for high-end TV shows is $7-$10 million and GOT spent around $10 million per episode in the last season. So $15 million is pretty much the cost for an episode of the upcoming season that will air in 2019. (c) HBO/ Giphy Though this shouldn't surprise anybody because if you have seen Netflix's original ‘The Crown' and ‘The Get Down', they had the same budget per episode. Now, for people who still think the amount is too much to even think of, let us also tell you that every episode of season 8 will almost have a run time of a movie, varying from 80-90 minutes. So that pretty much justifies the expense and what one can expect from the storyline. (c) HBO As long as we have dragons, wolves and the big war, we are fine with everything! We can't wait for winter to get to Westeros.
  10. The two met on the sets while filming the show?s second seasons while playing Jon Snow and Ygritte in 2012 After denying engagement rumours this year, Game of Thrones onscreen and now offscreen love birds Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have finally announced their engagement, BBC reported. The two met on the sets while filming the show?s second seasons while playing Jon Snow and Ygritte in 2012. After Leslie?s character was killed off in the fourth season, rumours were abound that the two had been dating, and merely strengthened after the two made their first public debut together on the red carpet at Olivier Awards. Ygritte and Jon Snow ?It was "easy" to fall in love with Leslie,? Harington told L'Uomo Vogue, terming the filming of the second season in Iceland as the most memorable moments of the show. "Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love," he said. "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love." Jon Snow does know something, after all!
  11. Ali Abbas, 27, sits proudly for a photograph on a mock up of the Iron Throne. A diehard Pakistani Game of Thrones fan, he says it is a "treat" to visit the cafe inspired by the hit American television series in the suburbs of Islamabad. The restaurant, aptly named King´s Landing, was launched in January by four college friends who were surprised to see fans coming in with their families, despite the sometimes very violent and explicit nature of the series. Abbas, on holiday from eastern Lahore, is surrounded by heraldic banners, dragon eggs and a menu that features homages such as ´Cersei´s Vanilla Poison´ -- a toast to the evil sovereign of Westeros. Meanwhile in a tavern-like basement, a screen displays gory, blood-stained combat scenes and autopsies. Abbas says he is thrilled to see it all "with my own eyes". "I´m here on vacation so when I came to know about this cafe, so I thought that I should visit it because I´ve been following the show since the very start ... it´s a great experience," he told AFP. The fantasy medieval saga produced by US cable network HBO tells the struggle of several families to conquer the "Iron Throne". It has more Emmy Awards than any narrative show in history and has become a worldwide success, including a massive fan base among English-speaking Pakistanis. "Game of Thrones is very big here," said another patron, Haseeb Mahmood, 25. "When you come here to the cafe, you feel like you´re a character of the show. "They have the Iron Throne, when you sit on it you feel like the king. When you see these dragon eggs, you feel like you´re part of the show and it´s something that´s very unique and very interesting." The show, he says, "feels so real... That´s one thing I love". The explicit and violent nature of the series has also not prevented customers from watching episodes in the cafe -- but with some precautions in the conservative Muslim country, admits one of the owners, Arsalan Sajid. He says they edit some scenes to make it appropriate for all age groups. "Initially the response was great," he adds, though he admits that after two or three months enthusiasm died down somewhat. Luckily, however, the highly-anticipated finale of Season 7 will air on Monday -- at which point he expects his tiny cafe, which only seats around a dozen people, to be besieged with customers once more.
  12. This week's Game of Thrones episode was a roller coaster ride for all the viewers. So much happened in that one episode that it mentally disturbed many of us. Firstly Jon Snow and his squad somehow managed to survive the suicide mission they went on, all thanks to Daenerys. Some died, while some survived, though the death of few was predictable as the episode was heading. Tormund's death was certain. Though we would have loved to see him making giant babies with Brienne. However, one death that affected everyone was that of Viserion. And then he rose back again as an ice dragon, interesting indeed. Then you also had a zombie polar bear, who stunned everyone! © HBO Well, on the show all this happened just in a period of an hour. But in reality, picturising these scenes weren't an easy job. From years of preparations to several days of shooting, the GOT team worked very hard to get this end result, that left each one of us impressed. It goes without saying that making such scenes is work of CGI but the credit also goes to the human minds. For instance, that view that makes leaves us in awe is in Iceland. The main highlight of the last episode was the showdown between the Dragons and the White Walkers. Have you ever thought how that magnificent scene was actually shot? HBO recently released a video giving us a glimpse of the making of that particular episode. In the clip, showrunner Dan Weiss, David Benioff, and the cast talk about their individual experiences. © HBO © HBO How zombie polar bear was created! © HBO © HBO © HBO That scene that scared the hell out of everyone! © HBO The secret behind the White Walkers' eyes. © HBO It's amazing to see how the cast actually pulled out those scenes with the dragon when it was literally nothing more than a green toy. 13. Compared to the previous episodes of Game of Thrones season 7, the wait for the last episode was slightly longer because most of us had already seen the episode 6 before its official release, all thanks to the accidental airing by HBO Spain. While we were waiting for the finale episode with our bottled up excitement intact, counting each passing minute waiting for Monday; the impatient hackers went ahead and threw a surprise deadlier than Drogon's fireball, marring the show for us. All the pent up suspense that kept us fans sleepless the whole week, wondering who will win in ‘The Dragon and the Wolf', was sadly murdered by the hackers as they allegedly leaked the climax of the finale episode online. © HBO According to Mashable, the hackers who call themselves ‘Mr. Smith' have stolen approximately 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO and have released confidential plot summaries and details of the how this season will end. They are calling it the sixth wave of leaks. Apparently, the confidential plot summaries and outlines seem to predict (in exact detail) how the season will end. In fact, according to a report published in The Independent, the hackers have posted spoilers of season 7 including the climax on a Reddit thread called Freefolk. It read, “A detailed outline of every episode in season 7 including the finale, intended for internal use and dated April 2016 was posted on Reddit's Game of Thrones spoilers-dedicated subreddit, Freefolk, apparently originating from the HBO hack.” Ever since the hackers got access to HBO's data, they have made things worse for not just for the company but for all the ardent GOT fans. If the scripts or story plots weren't enough, they went ahead and hacked into HBO's and Game of Thrones' official social media accounts while ‘testing their security'. But, they clearly didn't stop there. The hackers have demanded a ransom of $6.5 million worth of Bitcoin, which hasn't been met as of now. In fact, HBO said that the hackers might continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information and was quoted as saying, “That's a game we're not going to participate in.” © HBO While some were treating this as a hoax and fake leaks, reports suggest that these leaks are pretty much legitimate and do reveal the whole plot. We, guess we'll have to wait for a day more to see if these leaks are true or not. The hackers on the other hand teasingly said, “By the way, we officially inform you and other hundreds of reporters whom we are emailing that we sold ‘HBO IS FALLING' entire collection (5TB) to three customers in deep web and we earned half of the requested ransom.” Well, thank you Mr. Smith for killing this season for us. Can you hear the bells of ‘Shame' ringing behind you?
  14. One of the best and worst things about the Game of Thrones creators is that they're not afraid to shock us. Anybody -including the heroes we've been rooting for from the beginning- is capable of dying, which means that the season finales are always an event to remember. Here are some of the most memorable season finales that have kept us talking until the next season begins. 4) The Children (Season 4, Episode 10): For an entire season, we've witnessed Tyrion at his absolute lowest. Betrayed by Shae, falsely accused of murdering Joffrey, he seems broken in spirit. But in this shocking final episode, he breaks out of prison with a crossbow and a few choice words for the father who has always scorned him. It's a glorious moment when Tyrion kills him in the privy, but also a tremendously sad one: it marks the moment when Tyrion severs the last of his bonds to the Lannisters. It's also a moment of betrayal: he kills Shae after finding her in his father's bed. What happens next? We have absolutely no idea where Game of Thrones is headed after this. (Coincidentally, as he breaks out, Daenarys is imprisoning her dragons in the catacombs of Meereen. This is another plot development that shortens the odds on our Mother of Dragons.) 3) Mhysa (Season 3, Episode 10): The Red Wedding is a hard act to follow, but this Season 3 finale does not disappoint. We learn that it was Tywin who masterminded the massacre of the Starks, and that it is Ramsay who has captured Theon. This is an episode that does a fantastic job of moving the chess pieces around the board so that they'll be ready for the events of Season 4. Jon escapes from Ygritte and heads to Castle Black, a grieving Arya kills some men who mock her brother's death (foreshadowing!) and Jaime is back in the capital with Cersei. The standout moment of the episode is surely the unforgettable scene where the now-freed Yunkai hoist Daenarys above the crowd, chanting “Mhysa” (mother). 2) Fire and Blood (Season 1, Episode 10) : ‘Fire and Blood' is the motto of House Targaryen, telling us that this finale will be focused on Daenarys. And even though the North is busy seceding from King's Landing, the meat of the episode is undoubtedly in Lhazar, where Khaleesi is tackling some big problems. Khal Drogo is in a vegetative state, and her unborn son is dead. It's a moment that would bring any queen to despair, but then of course Dany is a dragon queen. She takes her fate into her own hands: first she smothers her husband out of pity and then walks into his funeral pyre. We watch with bated breath – will she meet the same fate as her unfortunate brother Viserys? – but quickly realise that fire cannot harm a dragon. Daenarys emerges from the ashes, completely unharmed, with three freshly-hatched dragons. Westeros will have hell to pay. 1) The Winds of Winter (Season 6, Episode 10): Showrunners Benioff and Weiss decided to introduce a new piano score especially for this episode, and it is a decision that pays off spectacularly. The first moments of the episode cut between the preparations for the trial and the preparations for Cersei's wildfire explosion. As the characters settle their collars and adjust their suits of armour, we feel that nervous dread that tells us something is going to happen. But when it happens, it surpasses our wildest expectations: the Sept of Baelor explodes in an enormous cloud of green smoke, incidentally taking out all of Cersei's enemies and establishing her as the undisputed ruler of the Iron Throne. Meanwhile, Daenarys takes to the sea to challenge her, and we get a stunning visual of her dragons flying- finally!- to Westeros.
  15. If there's one thing ‘Game of Thrones' is notorious for, it's the ability to deliver a hell of an action scene. The battles on GoT are the stuff of legends: involving dragons, giants, mechanized crossbows, armadas of ships, and the Undead. Over seven seasons, the HBO show has given us many memorable battles. Here are some of our favourites: 5) Dragons vs. White Walkers in Beyond The Wall (Season 7, Episode 6): Source: HBO This wasn't one of the most epic battles the series has ever given us, but this was entirely worth it for that one moment in which The Night King hurls his magic spear at Viserion. The question throughout this series has been: what can kill a dragon? None of us were very convinced that Cersei's crossbows-large as they may be – could finish the job. So to see Viserion fall was extraordinary, because this was a battle that pitted one type of magical creature against another. The lingering question on all our minds is surely: What happens now that Viserion is reanimated? Where do his loyalties lie, to his Dragon mother or to the Night King? 4) The Night's Watch vs. The White Walkers in Hardhome (Season 5, Episode 8): Source: HBO Set against the blue chill of the North, this was one of the more visually beautiful battles. It occurs in the remote fishing village of Hardhome, where Jon Snow has gone to recruit wildlings to his cause. There's no question of who will win against the White Walkers, who clearly outnumber the human beings. The moment in which The Night King reanimates the dead is one of the most shocking moments of the entire series. This is Jon Snow's biggest test so far, and the fact that he survives makes it clear: he deserves to be King of the North. 3) Jon Snow vs. Ramsay Bolton in The Battle of The Bastards (Season 6, Episode 9): Good vs. evil: we know who we want to win. At this point, we've seen Ramsay do despicable things throughout the series. This battle is a perfect example of Ramsay's superior military strategy, though: as Sansa warns, he cannot be trapped. He kills Rickon Stark in order to infuriate Jon, then surrounds the latter's army in a circular formation reminiscent of early Roman battles. The clash is so deadly that Jon's army has to climb over corpses in order to keep fighting. Luckily, the cavalry – summoned by Sansa- arrives at the very last moment to smash the Bolton army, in true Bollywood style. 2) Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane in The Mountain and The Viper (Season 4, Episode 8) Although this is a trial by combat and not a conventional battle, it still deserves to rank highly on the list. The small, agile Viper dances circles around his formidable opponent: we almost want to take bets on whether speed or strength will win the day. After a few nailbiting minutes, we see that Oberyn has felled the Mountain. But when he stops to taunt his opponent, we cover our eyes. Anybody who watches Game of Thrones knows George R.R. Martin's penchant of killing the fan favourite. And that's exactly what happens. In the most gruesome scene we could imagine, the Mountain digs his fingers into Oberyn's skull with so much force that it explodes. We don't recommend eating popcorn while watching this scene. 1) Battle of the Blackwater in Blackwater (Season 2, Episode 9): This is the first real battle on Game of Thrones, and it does not disappoint. Stannis Baratheon sails to attack King's Landing, and the consequences are catastrophic for all. In a highly effective, carefully choreographed scene, a ship full of green wildfire explodes, instantly turning the tables on Stannis' men. The action then moves to land as Tyrion and The Hound take on the invaders. It is an extremely heroic moment for Tyrion in particular, who does not look like any conventional hero we have ever seen. He shows far more courage and moral fibre than Joffrey – who gives us a good laugh as he turns to flee to the safety of the castle and his mother's arms.
  16. What started off as a can of empty threats and has now become the reason of HBO losing its sleep and millions by the day, the episode leaks of ‘Game Of Thrones' continue to haunt everyone. After having access to all the social media accounts and making absurd ransom demands, the hackers are back with a predicted demand. © HBO This time, they have threatened to leak the finale very soon. They have reportedly demanded $6.5 billion in the form of bit coins. While there has been no official statement about the status of what the channel is planning to do, it is indeed a sad situation for every one who invested their time, sweat and money in it. Fans are however, divided on their opinions. © HBO While many condemn piracy and want to wait till Monday to watch the new episode, there are millions who have not only watched it, but also injected the internet with spoilers. Internet is a dark place, what more can I say. The world now waits to see whether the finale is actually leaked or HBO's grace is saved.
  17. When Jon Snow interacted with Drogon There seems to be no rest for the wicked. Plagued by a series of hacks, ?Game of Thrones? was beset by another leak when HBO Spain ?accidentally? broadcasted next week?s episode of season 7 of the cult TV show. According to media reports, the sixth episode of the ongoing season, titled ?Death is the Enemy? was aired in full by the HBO channel in Spain overnight ? full five days before its scheduled release. The episode was reportedly available on-demand to Spanish subscribers for one hour before being removed, but the damage was already done. Footage from the episode appeared on Reddit via YouTube, Instagram, Twitch and other streaming services, triggering an onslaught of spoilers and cautions. Twitter went into a meltdown over the latest leak, as fans mocked the misadventure and tried to stay clear of the spoilers. HBO has had a rough few weeks. The latest leak comes after an earlier episode of Game of Thrones season 7, handled by a contractor to News Corp's Star India, was also leaked online. Before that, an episode of season 6 was also accidentally uploaded by HBO's Nordic arm a few hours before official broadcast. HBO is also mired in a hacking scandal, where Game of Thrones scripts and storylines from the current season have also been leaked online.
  18. Our favourite show ‘Game of Thrones' is back with its 7th season and so is our obsession for watching it before everyone else. To avoid spoilers and ruin it for everyone else, the fastest option seems to be the pirated and leaked versions floating online. Well, when half the world is watching it, why shouldn't we, right? But, ever wondered what happens to the source who leaks it? They get arrested by the cyber cell before they can even get to see the ‘leaked episode 6'. If Monday wasn't bad anyway, it turned worse for these four men who saw the real life White Walkers aka Mumbai police, walk into their lives and arrest them for leaking an episode of ‘Game of Thrones' online. © HBO Three employees of Prime Focus Technology and a former employee have been accused of leaking the show's fourth episode online. Reportedly, the complaint was filed by the company. It processes the series for online streaming service Hotstar and a Mumbai court remanded them in police custody till August 21. Yes, we are talking about ‘The Spoils of War' and apparently the leak of this episode was separate from the HBO hack that stirred a storm on the Internet. © HBO The company that is said to have the season's airing rights lodged a complaint after they found the low quality video of the episode on the internet, before the official airing. They caught hold of the culprits because they saw the channel's watermark on it. According to Hindustan Times, the people accused are Bhaskar Joshi, Alok Sharma, Abhishek Ghadiyal and Mohammad Suhail. They have been booked under section 408, 34 of IPC for breach of trust with common intention and sections 43 and 66 of IT Act for penalty and compensation for damage to computer and computer-related offences. ‘Game of Thrones' has already become the most pirated show on television and has compelled half of us to wait for the leak, more than the actual airing of any episode. While, we are losing our sh*t over the leaked episode 6, please beware before sharing anything because ‘cyber cell is coming'.
  19. Well, since the time our favourite series Game of Thrones season 7 has aired, the show is facing some or the other issue. Just a few days ago four people were arrested by the Mumbai police for leaking an episode and now there's news about the leak yet again. The only difference is this time it wasn't someone else but the channel that did the blunder themselves. As per the new thread on Reddit, the sixth episode of GOT 7 was aired by mistake by HBO in Spain for a whole hour. No, we ain't kidding, this time it looks like the channel played the wrong episode at the wrong time. © Imgur The thread even had a screen grab of the TV screen of the channel airing the episode, posted by username The Slayer Slayer. And guess what the screen grab is all about? It shows Jon Snow and Tormund Giantsbane walking in the snow beyond The Wall. Yes, it is happening! © Reddit This scene wasn't part of the trailer that was released a couple of days ago, so it wouldn't be wrong to say that it might be the footage of the 6th episode after all. The time the episode went on air, people started sharing notes and discussing all about the show. Many users also dropped a hint on where one could watch or download the episode. There is also a small video from the episode that's going around the internet. A Twitter user shared a video where Benjen is seen saving Jon. We bet the 6th episode's glimpse has already intrigued our interest and we can't wait to watch it. #gameofthrones Benjen saves Jon pic.twitter.com/MQZBuXBGQr — Joe Weaver (@jorywea) August 16, 2017 An Instagram user @afaga23 apparently has also live-streamed the whole episode; however, the post was deleted later on. And that's not it, there is also a gif showing something that none of us could have imagined. It shows a Night King touching Daenerys's dragon and you know what will happen next. Episode 7 leaked too? As per some media reports, apparently, even the 7th episode has been leaked. However HBO representative has stated that they are not aware of it yet. Last month there were reports about a lot of data being stolen from HBO. According to Entertainment Weekly, an anonymous email was sent to reporters following the hacking incident which stated, “Hi to all mankind, The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What's its name? Oh, I forget to tell. It's HBO and 'Game of Thrones'……!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling.” We hope there are no more leaks for the upcoming episode. Episode 6 airs on Monday on Hotstar and on Tuesday on Star World and Star World HD.
  20. “You need to find a way to make her listen.” Varys is urging Tyrion who seems anxious over Daenerys' actions, which has seemed to cause a stir with angst in Peter Dinklage's character. Here is the trailer of the forthcoming episode of Game of Thrones, which has been released after a dramatic screening of the fourth episode, not only because it was seen by thousands of people much before its actual time; but also because of the battle which blew our minds away. The trailer in which Daenerys appears to be stuck on the same phrase “Bend the Knee” and can be seen layering it down upon the defeated soldiers and lords giving them final option whether to, “join me, or refuse and, die” in her own words. No qualms about the fact that she's getting power hungry and brutal as the season is approaching to an end. Meanwhile, Cersei is promising Master Qyburn over-confidently that she will defeat “whosoever stands in our way”. © YouTube Bran's visions, on the other hand, are becoming stronger and clearer than ever before. Jon is seemingly apprising the court of Dragonstone, “Bran saw the army of Night King marching towards Eastwatch”. Next week's installment should be as ferocious as ‘The spoils of war' which startled us to the core of our existence. © YouTube And, for all those who are wondering if Jaime dies in this week's episode or not, we have the answer for you. He doesn't. As reported through the leaked script, it confirms not only Jaime's survival, but also that it was Bronn who saved him and not Dickon as many wondered. Excerpt from the leaked part of the scripts reads – 'Just before Drogon strikes, Bronn dives in from the side, and tackles Jaime off his horse and over the side of the bridge. They tumble into the Blackwater Rush as Drogon fries both their horses. The rapids rush Jaime and Bronn away from the bridge and battle, Bronn holding them underwater. Above them the water's surface boils and steams under dragonflame. Drogon does not like missing meals. Drowned men float alongside them. Jaime looks down and sees an even sadder sight: living soldiers trapped on the riverbottom, their armor too heavy to swim. Their eyes look up at Jaime, beseeching him for a help he can't give, as they drown.' We are as much in anticipation as to what will happen, if the excerpt is anywhere to be true. However, the 4th episode was stellar and so badass that it made a lot of us watch the entire battle more than just one time. We can only hope for the upcoming episode to be as brutal! Till that time, treat yourself with the trailer & comment below the theories you can come up with!
  21. Following news that thousands of files have been stolen from HBO, the fourth episode of Game of Thrones season 7 has leaked online in middling quality, reported The Independent. US cable channel HBO said on Monday that hackers had stolen upcoming programming, and Entertainment Weekly reported that the theft included a script for an unaired episode of the hit fantasy show "Game of Thrones." Entertainment Weekly reported that hackers stole 1.5 terabytes of data and had already posted online unbroadcast episodes of "Ballers" and "Room 104," along with "a script or treatment" for 4th episode of "Game of Thrones." There is speculation that the leak originates from HBO distribution partner Star India, and is not related to the HBO hack. The channel acknowledged the cyber attack, all but confirming the leaked script for Game of Thrones ' fourth episode - titled 'The Spoils of War' - was real. The hack comes at a sensitive time for HBO, as its parent Time Warner Inc is waiting for regulatory approval to sell itself to AT&T Inc in an $85.4 billion deal announced in October.

  23. If you are someone like me who didn't think of watching the second episode on your way to the office and is dreading the decision of putting it off for another couple of hours – you're at the right place. Since, I haven't watched it with the world; I am not the best person to give you spoilers anyway, so you can breathe a sigh of relief! The official synopsis from HBO for episode 3 revealed: “Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) holds court. Cersei (Lena Headey) returns a gift. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learns from his mistakes.” What the synopsis didn't reveal was the much-awaited meeting we see in the ‘The Queen's Justice', the episode 3 trailer: In the second episode, Arya was seen confronted by a direwolf which left the fans flustered and many were hoping it to be Nymeria, the one she raised. Next week, Jon and Dan will be seen coming face-to-face, along with Sir Davos, Missandei, and Tyrion, all in one scene. The rest of the trailer is focused on Euron getting a hero's welcome in King's Landing with what we may assume is his ‘priceless gift' for Cersei. And, the unsullied going on for a battle looking ready as always to take over Casterly Rock which is a speculation, but it would be the most perfect hit at Cersei and Daenerys' plan to conquer the Casterly Rock will come true, even before Cersei will realize it. Dragonstone and Casterly Rock are getting some visitors, that is for sure. The upcoming episode should be an action-packed episode and before you and I get all excited and in frenzy about the third episode, we should watch the second one before someone spoils it for us.
  24. The seventh season of the much-awaited and fought-after (you aren't a true fan if you didn't fight over the characters and story plot) series, 'Game of Thrones', premiered recently and since then people have officially lost their chill. The first episode has already been viewed millions of times and has divided the world into two parts – first who watched it before everyone and spoil the episode for others and second who beat the sh*t out of those who give away spoilers. © HBO Within a few days of its release, this season has already done much more than just fuel suspense around the characters. It gave people a room to troll Ed Sheeran for his cameo, gave the fan theorists fodder for their next groundbreaking discovery and most importantly, it has given some smartasses on the internet to go ahead and do what they are best at – pirating it. Thanks to the advent of internet, nothing seems like too big a deal these days and we guess these folks abide by this, so they went ahead and pirated the premiere episode 90 f**king million times. © HBO According to a report published in Torrent Freak, the piracy monitoring firm MUSO has suggested that the season premiere has been pirated 90 million times in just three days and the sources were majorly the unauthorized streaming services with torrent contributing a little bit to it. It's not like this show or any other show's piracy numbers have not touched millions earlier, but this number and that too within a few days is huge. We won't be surprised if Hollywood goes into a state of shock after reading the numbers. © HBO MUSO even notes that most pirated traffic comes from the United States (15 million approx), while countries like United Kingdom (6.2 million approx), Germany (4.8 million approx) and India (4.3 million approx) filled up the second, third and fourth spots in the list of piracy. We hope any college professor isn't reading this, else they'll know how the students are putting the hostel and college WiFi to good use.
