  1. Yes, tonight will be the best night of the year to take a good look at the world's largest planet. Jupiter, the Earth and the Sun all line up in a row tonight, making up for prime viewing opportunities. Not just that, Jupiter is also said to be at its closest to us tonight, which means, you can even see four of its moons i.e. Io, Europa, Callisto, and Ganymede if you have the right gear.Photo: © YouTube (Main Image) © NASA The cosmic event, dubbed 'Opposition' will occur at 6 PM EST, which is around 3.30AM according to the Indian Standard Time. You can expect to see the planet shinning bright like a jewel around the same time. According to the stargazers at NASA, this event only happens once every 13 months. So, if you miss out on taking a look at the Jupiter tonight, then you'll have to wait 13 months again to get a chance to see it up close. Of course, you can always check out the planet with the help of the images captured by NASA's Juno spacecraft, which is currently orbiting the massive planet, but there's nothing like taking a good look at the thing with your naked eyes. © Reuters Also, if you happen to have a good telescope, then you can also nerd out by spotting things like Jupiter's individual cloud bands and its characteristic Great Red Spot. But that's just optional. You'll still get a good view without any special equipment whatsoever. Enjoy!

  17. Karachi Kings players celebrate a wicket SHARJAH: Islamabad United and Karachi Kings clash tonight in the last group match of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Sharjah. With Peshawar Zalmi's win over Karachi Kings on Thursday, and following victory over Quetta Gladiators last night, Islamabad United have confirmed their place as the top team on the points table, and will be playing the qualifier in Dubai on March 18. A victory in the qualifier would mean a direct flight to Karachi for the PSL 2018 final. For Karachi Kings, however, the outcome of today's Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars match holds great significance. Both Karachi and Multan will be praying for Lahore's success against Peshawar. If Peshawar lose, Peshawar are out of the competition and Karachi and Multan would join Islamabad and Quetta in the final four of the tournament. But if Peshawar win, then Karachi would have to beat Islamabad convincingly tonight before the playoffs.
  18. Luke Ronchi gets bowled by Hassan Khan, Quetta Gladiators v Islamabad United, PSL 2018, Sharjah, February 28, 2018/PCB/PSL SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators will face off against Islamabad United at the Sharjah Cricket Ground tonight, in a race to the top of the points table. Both the teams have already qualified for the playoffs, so the match is a dead rubber in that sense. But the two points the winner gets today will be crucial in ensuring that team's domination on the points table. Both Quetta and Islamabad will want to show off their strengths and gain a psychological edge over the other, ahead of the eliminating stages. Islamabad United beat Multan Sultans by 33 runs on Tuesday to cement their place in the playoffs. With this result, Quetta were also propelled to the playoffs, leaving the remaining two slots open to three other teams: Multan Sultans, Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. However, Quetta Gladiators lost to Lahore Qalandars by 17 runs in a set-back on Wednesday. The Misbah-led team, in contrast, has transformed into the most consistent side of this tournament. Driven by power hitting from opener Luke Ronchi, disciplined pace bowling and dangerous spin, it has won five straight games so far.
  19. Sarfraz Ahmed and Hasan Khan celebrate a wicket, Lahore Qalandars v Quetta Gladiators, PSL 2018, Dubai, February 24, 2018/PCB SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators will look to extend their winning run when they take on Lahore Qalandars at the Sharjah Cricket Ground tonight. Quetta are already through to the playoffs, along with Islamabad United who beat Multan Sultans to seal their place in the playoffs. In eight matches so far, Sarfraz Ahmed?s XI has emerged victorious in five and lost three. With 10 points, Quetta are at second place, behind Islamabad (12 points). Lahore Qalandars are already out of the race, but they will look to add some meaning to their PSL campaign with a third consecutive win tonight. After six straight defeats, Lahore beat Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings to add 4 points to their name. In their last clash, on Feb 24, Quetta outclassed Lahore by 9 wickets. Possible scenarios The tournament is still open for three teams: Karachi, Multan and Peshawar. If Karachi manage to beat Zalmi tomorrow, then the line-up for the playoffs and eliminators will be completed, with Islamabad, Quetta, Multan and Karachi in the top four. Which teams make it to the PSL playoffs? Here are the scenarios United's 33-run win keeps Zalmi's hopes still alive in the tournament; Kings and Sultans anxiously await outcome of 27th match between Karachi and Peshawar But, if Peshawar manage to beat Karachi, then Karachi and Multan will have to wait until Peshawar?s next match against Lahore on Friday. If Peshawar win both of their remaining two games, they will move to the next playoffs, leaving Karachi and Multan to wait for the result of the last league match of PSL 3: Islamabad United vs Karachi Kings.

  21. Islamabad United are undefeated in their last four matches SHARJAH: Undefeated in their last four matches, Islamabad United face Multan Sultans as Pakistan Super League (PSL) action returns to Sharjah tonight. Islamabad are in red-hot form, with five wins in seven matches so far. Their victory streak began from a dramatic win against Lahore Qalandars in Super Over thriller, after which the Reds defeated Karachi Kings, Lahore (again) and Peshawar Zalmi to secure 10 points and joint-top position with Quetta Gladiators on the points table. Misbah's side has been further boosted by the inclusion of England batsmen Alex Hales and Sam Billings, who joined the squad in UAE following the end of the series in New Zealand. Multan, however, look shaky at fourth spot. After a flying start to their PSL campaign, the team has been languishing and needs to win tonight to consolidate their place in the top four. Multan have won 4 out of their 6 matches so far, with one loss and one washout. Earlier this tournament, the Shoaib Malik-led team outclassed Quetta Gladiators by 9 wickets.
