Now Locana, a tiny beautiful ghost town in Italy near the Turin region, has yet again offered the same. The government there is offering around 9000 Euros to anyone willing to relocate. That's approximately Rs. 73 lakh but then there's a catch there as well. The amount will be paid in a period of over 3 years, and the prerequisite for this is that you must be married with a kid (they want to populate the place with families). “Our population has shrunk from 7,000 residents in the early 1900s to barely 1,500 as people left looking for a job at Turin's big factories,” Locana's mayor Giovanni Bruno Mattiet told a newspaper. Initially the offer was open just for the residents of Italy but the poor response has made them believe that people from other countries are also welcome to apply, if the applied conditions are fulfilled. Would you take up an offer like this? As dreamy as it may sound, in terms of practicality, I think it's logistically kind of impossible for us to move there permanently.

ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsHershey's - the name evokes one of the most powerful forms of sweet cravings that mankind might be aware of. Be it Hershey's Kisses or Hershey's Chocolate Syrup, each one of us has some sentimental emotion attached to this brand name. Hershey's Kisses are more than mere chocolates, they became declarations of love while we were growing up. When we think about chocolate syrup, that's the name that pops into our mind by default, because we associate so many of chocolatey memories with Hershey's! © Wikipedia Such a known brand name, yet, how many of us know anything about the man after whom the chocolates bear their name? Milton S. Hershey is the name of the man with the magical hands, who blessed us with the milk-chocolate sweets that we all love so much. But did you know that Hershey had to overcome multiple failures to create something that would remain popular across many generations? Hershey didn't taste success the first two times he tried to turn his dream of making the best candies into a reality. He went completely bankrupt, but came back fighting for his dream and ended up beating all odds to build his own town from nothingness. The Backstory Hershey was born in the small town of Derry in Pennsylvania, and since his family was always on the move, because of his father's constant “get rich quick” schemes, Hershey didn't receive a very good education. © thefamouspeople He had attended six different schools by the time he was 13-years-old, and even though he was a smart kid, his mother decided to take him out of school after fourth grade, so he could learn a trade. Hershey started out as an apprentice to a printer, but didn't enjoy the job. After two years with the printer, his mother found him a new apprentice job with a candy making - and that was his first brush with what was to become the love of his life. Learning The Tricks Of The Trade Working at the Lancaster confectionary shop, Hershey learnt about the art of candy making. From caramels to fudge and peppermints, he tried his hands at everything, and thoroughly enjoyed the learning experience. He had finally found his passion. © Wikipedia The Big Leap & Failure Having found something he wished to do for the rest of his life, he decided to open his own candy business at the young age of nineteen. He borrowed money from his relatives to set up his business in Philadelphia. But as luck would have it, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't make any profits. Soon, he ran out of money and had to close shop. The Second Fall Despite failing the first time, Hershey continued to chase his dreams and didn't give up. He moved to a different city and started to work with a candy maker. He gave another shot at his dream, and opened another candy shop in New York City. Unfortunately, he failed the second time as well. The Homecoming Hershey finally moved back to Lancaster, and started a new candy business, which specialised in making just caramels. This turned out to be a very successful venture for Hershey. Soon, he would open many candy-making factories and branches all over the country. This time, Hershey tasted sweet success. © hersheypa Inception of Hershey's Chocolates Post this success, Hershey decided to go even bigger. And he knew just how to do it. Chocolates! He sold his caramel business for 1 million dollars and invested all of it into making chocolates. His aim was to produce affordable chocolates for the common man, that was delicious too. So he decided to build a factory for the same in the countryside. But the new roadblock was where would he settle the workers who for in his factory. The Town Of Hershey Hershey decided to build a large factory in the countryside, along with a town settlement around it. People called him crazy, but Hershey went through with his plans. He established the town of Hershey in Pennsylvania. It featured lots of houses, a post office, churches, and schools. The chocolate company was a huge success. Soon Hershey's chocolates were the most famous chocolates in the world. That's the story of a resolute person who changed his own destiny, lived his dream and gave us the best chocolates we enjoy to this day.
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online News'Tu jaanta hai ki mera baap kaun hai' and 'baap pe mat jaa' – the two lines have been spoken so much for years, that they've honestly become a joke now. Every person in Delhi is associated with these lines and it's quite hilarious. But, there's another 'baap'-related line to join the ones above – 'tere baap ki sadak hai kya?' and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is making the most of it. We all know how passionate Akshay Kumar is about social causes and has always tried his best to do his part in bringing about a change, both with his movies and in real-life. I mean traffic rules are there for a reason. If you think you won't get caught and think you're an exception, you're just risking becoming the rule yourself.
