  3. Robin Uthappa, who is currently playing for Chennai Super Kings, has played for a total of six franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Uthappa made his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians in 2008 and a year later, he shifted base to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Recalling his moves from one team to another over the years, Uthappa shared an interesting anecdote from 2009 when he was apparently forced to sign transfer papers to join Royal Challengers Bangalore from Mumbai Indians. Tough one to take, but we will roar again! @ChennaiIPL #Yellove #WhistlePodu pic.twitter.com/uRRbkogNhV — Robin Aiyuda Uthappa (@robbieuthappa) March 31, 2022 Uthappa was talking to Ravichandran Ashwin on the latter's YouTube show when he recalled how his loyalty towards Mumbai Indians was not allowing him to make the move to RCB. "So, I was along with Zaheer Khan and Manish Pandey. I was one of the first people to be transferred in IPL. For me, it became extremely difficult because my loyalties were completely laid out with MI at that point. It happened a month before the IPL and I refused to sign the transfer papers," Uthappa said. Watch the video here: "I was going through something in my personal life and I was completely into depression during my first season with RCB. I didn't play well even for one game that season. The only game in which I did well was when I was dropped and picked again. I played thinking that I really needed to do something in this match. Someone from MI, I won't name him, had told me that if I didn't sign the transfer papers, I'd not get to play in the XI for MI," he added. Well whoever conveyed the message to Uthappa to change from Mumbai Indians, helped him find his mojo back. He was not scoring much with MI in the first season and struggled with RCB as well in 2009. 2014 - Won the orange cap and IPL with KKR 2021 - Helped CSK to defeat KKR in the #IPL2021 final Robin Uthappa played his part perfectly in CSK's fourth title triumph. #RobinUthappa #KKR #IPLFinal pic.twitter.com/PMouM4RkH6 — Wisden India (@WisdenIndia) October 17, 2021 But after changing and chopping teams, he found success with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014. Uthappa smashed 660 runs to win the Orange Cap and played a key role in KKR winning their second IPL title. The 36-year-old moved to CSK last year and did not play many games but towards the business end of the tournament MS Dhoni trusted his good friend to deliver and he repaid the faith by playing a blinder in the 1st qualifier against Delhi Capitals and another quick-fire knock against his old franchise KKR in the summit clash. 6. Kangana Ranaut has been vocal about every issue that arises in Bollywood or otherwise. Whether it is nepotism or a drug probe, she doesn’t hold back from not only expressing her views but also dragging the names of her colleagues from the film fraternity. © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut While some stayed silent, others hit back on the same medium (social media) and cleared the air. However, some even sued her for false allegations and defamation. Case in point, popular Bollywood lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar. © Instagram/Shabana Azmi Akhtar had filed a complaint under various sections of IPC against Ranaut stating that she had linked him in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. He also mentioned that she had made defamatory comments against him on national television. The case is under Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM). However, Kangana has now approached the sessions court to transfer the case claiming that the magistrate is biased and had “misused his powers to cause intentional injury” to her. © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut The plea states, "With a biased mind, the Magistrate was intentionally causing prejudice to Ranaut's rights and liberties, inter alia by threatening to issue an arrest warrant against Ranaut to secure her presence before him for a 'bailable' and 'non-congnizable' offence." She further adds that the CMM's order is "grossly erroneous as it has failed to consider that the magistrate has exercised his discretion arbitrarily and without the application of a trained judicial mind, which has resulted in the failure of justice." © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut And, that the Andheri Magistrate "has intentionally and willfully caused injury to the mind of Ranaut, which further harmed her image and reputation by callously announcing in an open court on two different occasions, namely on July 27, 2021 and September 14, 2021, before the media personnel, that "if the applicant is not present for hearing on the next date, an arrest warrant will be issued against her." © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut The court however maintains that she was absent on six hearings and the magistrate RR Khan allowed exemption on two occasions, rejecting Akhtar’s plea to issue a non-bailable warrant against her for not appearing in the court. © Instagram/Kangana Ranaut Kangana made a similar appeal in October which was rejected by in-charge CMM ST Dande stating, "If on the basis of false allegation, the matter is transferred, it will affect the morale of the Presiding Officer.” View the full article

  11. WhatsApp is now testing a feature that will allow iOS users to transfer their chat history to Android and the other way around. A report by XDA Developers suggests that the feature will allow users to migrate their entire chat history to a different platform. The process will be possible with the help of a ‘Switch to Android’ app on the App Store. © christian-wiediger-unsplash WABetaInfo also posted screenshots of the new features on Twitter showing how the entire process will work. The dedicated app has not been released yet but for iPhone users, the app will require them to enter their iCloud password to decrypt data. As for how the process will work, screenshots shared by WABetainfo reveals that users will soon get a new ‘Move Chat to Android’ option. It will first ask iPhone users to scan a QR code to open WhatsApp and then tap on the start button to begin the process. The user will need to keep his/her iPhone unlocked and WhatsApp opened in order to complete the process. We should expect to hear an announcement by the company soon as the feature is still being tested at the moment. WhatsApp has also shared that in order to transfer from Android to iOS and vice versa, users will need to update the WhatsApp app to the latest version. The feature will also be beneficial for the upcoming multi-device support as suggested by reports. © pexels-anton Multi-device support is the next big feature WhatsApp is expected to roll out soon. “Hasp is giving a lot of priority for this feature, that will allow using your WhatsApp account on multiple devices at the same time. The development of the feature takes a long time because it will totally change your experience on WhatsApp, and a lot of things have been rewritten in order to be compatible with multi-device,” the report said. Apart from letting users transfer chat histories between platforms, WhatsApp is also developing a way of transferring chat histories between different phone numbers. While it isn’t clear when any of these features will be available, we expect them to roll out in the next few months. Source: XDA Developers View the full article
