  1. Mahira Khan detailed how her mother has always encouraged her to see light at the end of every tunnel
  2. Farhan Akhtar has time and again proved that he's not just a great actor but also an impeccable dresser. In fact, his laidback, functional sense of style has been a source of inspiration for many over the years. Farhan was last seen in the film, The Sky Is Pink and is now commencing projects like Toofan and Don 3, both of which are scheduled to hit the theatres next year. © Viral Bhayani Before the pandemic hit, the actor would be seen every now and then in inspiration-worthy outfits. From walking the ramp with Shibani Dandekar to twinning with her at the airport, he loves dipping his toes in exciting trends as well. © Viral Bhayani Case in point, recently he was seen stepping out of his car in a rather interesting outfit. Take a look at what he was wearing here: © Viral Bhayani He was seen wearing a jacket with the logo 'Todun Taak' which could possibly be a reference to the song that goes by the same name by Johny Rawat. Underneath the jacket, he was wearing a neon green t-shirt. He completed the look with velcro sneakers with an orange swoosh from Nike. These sneakers also had blue and white colourways. With white being the dominant colour, the sneakers were reminiscent of school shoes that we all wore as kids. © Viral Bhayani The velcros were attached to these shoes instead of laces as it would be tough for kids to tie knots back then. This is perhaps why most kids preferred velcro sneakers over the ones with laces. Coming back to Farhan Akhtar, he was also seen wearing tie-up shorts, another silhouette that takes us back to our childhood. This is perhaps why we think his outfit was a tribute to his school uniform. For Farhan Akhtar's next film, Toofan, the actor is going to return to his buffed-up self as first seen in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. We can't wait for the film to release next year. View the full article
  3. Apple CEO Tim Cook gave a heartfelt tribute to Apple Co-Founder Steve Jobs on his 9th death anniversary. Cook posted a tweet with a quote from poet and civil rights activist Maya Angelou, writing - “A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.” "You’re always with us Steve", added Cook. "Your memory connects and inspires us every day," wrote the Apple CEO. Jobs passed away nine years ago after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. He passed away at the age of 56 although he continued to work at Apple during his treatment. © Youtube/Cnet Steve Jobs had two stints at Apple, where he returned to the Cupertino giant in 1996 when the company bought NeXT and the NeXTSTEP OS. NeXTSTEP OS later became the operating systems for Mac OS and Jobs was responsible for streamlining the Mac OS X lineup which was very messy at the time. Jobs later introduced other products such as the highly successful iPod and the company’s most successful product yet; the iPhone. © Reuters After Steve was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he asked Tim Cook to run the company as acting CEO in his absence. The position became permanent after Jobs resigned as CEO in 2011. When Jobs officially resigned as CEO, he told the Apple board that “I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.” Steve Jobs soon passed on six weeks after he resigned as CEO of Apple in 2011. Apple has created a ‘Remember Steve’ microsite which is still live today for people to visit and leave tributes. Over a million people have left personal tributes for Steve Jobs on the website and you can also do so by visiting here. View the full article
  4. Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise has broken and shattered hearts. Who would have imagined a rising star will go this way? His fans, friends, and family are fighting for justice for the actor as they are clueless about what happened to the star who was and still is an inspiration to a million others. Like the shadow I am and I am not... ~ Jalaluddin Rumi ️ pic.twitter.com/Ejj1X6LSyV — Sushant Singh Rajput (@itsSSR) October 26, 2019 After his demise, a lot of writers started to narrate Sushant’s life through their lens and wrote books on him. Some celebrated him and some outrightly discussed the conspiracy theories about his tragic demise. Here are the five books that are written on Sushant Singh Rajput post his demise. The Legend Sushant Singh Rajput: The Heist Of National Treasure © Amazon This was written by Delhi-based author Pradeep Sharma, whose pen name is Willking. If you read the description of the book available online, the author felt traumatized after his death and wanted to tell the entire world how hollow the world is without his presence. The author wanted to give him a tribute by writing a book that talks about his life, celebrating his success as an actor, his inclination towards science, and his lust for intelligence. He wanted to focus on the humanitarian aspect of his life. The author told IANS, “I didn't know SSR personally, nor did I ever meet him. But, when I heard about the news of his death, I was not able to accept it and faced severe anxiety, and I thought I would write a blog or an article and post it on social media. But later it occurred to me that I can write a book on him, as a tribute.” Sushant Singh Rajput: Mystery © Goodreads This book by Harsh Vardhan Chauhan seems like a desperate attempt at solving the case. Just a month to his death, this book was made available in the stores. We wonder what the author was thinking while writing this book when the CBI has just taken over the case. Sushant's Depression Story: Possible Reasons Behind Sushant's Depression © Kindle Yes, that’s the name of the book. The case is still under investigation but Khushal Chawla has already penned a book on the possibility of Sushant’s depression which is not yet proved. The author describes it as "a short book that tells you stories on Sushant's depression. I write this book because I feel that his depression story needs to be told to the world. The book has an important message at the end which I feel will change the way people see Indian cinema." Book Under The Tree: Sushant © Amazon This genuinely seemed like an attempt to celebrate the man behind the starry glitter. As the author Avani Jain describes it as, “a literary fiction dedicated to the wonderful life of Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant was an actor, dancer, intellectual, poet, and explorer who had a compendium of beautiful stories, life lessons, and ideas to pass on.” Remembering: Sushant Singh Rajput © Kindle Parikshita Garud has already decided in her head that it’s suicide even before CBI shared their findings of the investigation which is still undergoing. The author’s description of the book reads, “This book is related to the legendary Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. I am going to publish some important points of his life in series. This is the first series where I have introduced Sushant Singh Rajput and depression. Nowadays depression and suicide are the most sensitive topics. I'm just trying to motivate people out there with the help of remembering Sushant Singh Rajput.” We wonder if all of this is just monetizing someone's death. What do you think about these books? 5. It was on 15th August, when MS Dhoni took to Instagram and announced that he was retiring from international cricket. It's been six days since the former Indian captain called time on his illustrious career, but the tributes and wishes continue to pour in. After representing India in 538 matches, Dhoni brought an end to year-long speculations and an international cricket career that the entire country is proud of. Dhoni has retired as one of India's greatest cricketers but more significantly, as one of our sport's most symbolic players. © Reuters Whether it was his lightning-quick glovework, finishing capabilities or astute leadership skills, Dhoni was a complete package that Team India and its fans were lucky to have. While his cricketing exploits saw him shattering numerous records, Dhoni's persona and attitude earned him popularity beyond borders. Thus, when the news of his retirement surfaced, fans across the globe thanked him for the memories during his decade-and-a-half long international career. While the mood in the country is a bit off since his retirement, Dhoni walking away in the shadows has also evoked a strong response from Pakistani cricket fans. In a tribute video made by 'Pak Tv', Pakistani cricket fans did not hold back in their praise for Dhoni and how they felt after hearing the news of his retirement. "He is from India but I am really hurt as a Pakistani cricket fan that he has retired. Dhoni is Dhoni, no one can replace him in the Indian team," a fan said in the touching video. "He made a name for himself, a very good cricketer who, obviously, India will miss a lot. India won't find another player like him. No one can replace him. He was a very good batsman and won India a lot of matches. Don't think India can get a better player than him," added another Pakistani fan. With over 17,000 runs, 634 catches, 195 stumpings and multiple trophies across formats, Dhoni has retired from international cricket as one of the greatest cricketers and biggest contributors to Indian cricket. The Jharkhand cricketer remains the only captain to have won all three major ICC trophies - World Cup, World T20 and Champions Trophy. View the full article

  9. The world of cricket has seen many greats come and go, but there will never be another Rahul Dravid, for he exhibited greatness at its most humble and redefined discipline in the sport. Dignified, fair-minded, eloquent, gentle, yet tougher than anyone will ever know. A selfless cricketer and down-to-earth human being who always did and said the right things; the kind of man you'd want your son to grow into. A cricketer who mastered all the textbook shots to stand firm against some of the best bowling attacks, Dravid will always be remembered for his temperament and patience at the crease which saw him frustrate the opposition by batting for countless hours. And, the fact that the right-hander slammed a staggering 24,208 runs including 48 hundreds and 146 fifties across formats, shows how clinical he was with the willow. © Reuters While Dravid's batting talents surely make him one of the greatest to have ever graced the gentleman's game, it also overshadows his other talents on the field. With the memories of his iconic innings still afresh in the minds of cricket pundits and fans, Dravid, the fielder, still finds himself lurking in the shadows, rarely getting his due. Outstanding catcher Rahul Dravid pic.twitter.com/DnLQhKlHPV â Harbhajan Turbanator (@harbhajan_singh) June 30, 2020 But, on 30th June, it was Dravid and his fielding abilities that rightly became the talk of the town after a heartfelt tribute from Harbhajan Singh went on social media. Taking to Twitter, the Indian spinner shared a video compilation of Dravid's top catches, celebrating his efforts as a fielder. "Outstanding catcher Rahul Dravid," Bhajji captioned the video. Apart from scoring 13,288 runs in 164 Tests, Dravid also has a whopping 210 catches to his name in the longest version of the game. His tally of catches remains the most by a player in the history of Test cricket. Apart from Dravid, only two more players, Mahela Jayawardene (205) and Jacques Kallis (200), have taken 200 or more catches in Test cricket. Agree 100%. Wonderful hands. 16. Today was a day like no other. Narendra Modi in his speech had announced that March 22, 2020 is going to be Janta Curfew, wherein people won't step out of their house the entire day. However, at 5 pm, to respect people who are risking their lives amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that has taken over the world, people are supposed to step out in their balconies and clap and even use their kitchen utensils to ring in unison as a mark of respect. Around 4.55 pm, people had already started clapping and ringing bells in their balconies, and as the minutes passed the ringing sound exponentially increased. While the street dogs got scared after a relatively peaceful day sans human interaction, people were blasting ringing music on their Marshall speakers. Some people were recording this strange affair and put it up online. The hashtag #5baje5minute is going to be trending for a while now. Here are some reactions online and how celebrities participated today. 1.
