When we’re younger and in love, we end up doing and more importantly - putting up with a lot of things that we shouldn’t have. Toxic partners, for instance. You see, the thing with toxicity is that it is addictive, and it isn’t until much later in a relationship that we realize that we’ve gotten ourselves involved in something that is bad for us. © Kangana Ranaut A realization that struck actress Kangana Ranaut when she was just 17-years-old and in one of the most abusive relationships of her life. © Twitter As the Manikarnika actress turns 35, we recall the time Kangana revealed in an interview, the ordeals she went through in a relationship when she was in her teenage years. Touted to be dating a senior actor (that Kangana later claimed to be actor Aditya Pancholi), the Queen actress shared the moment during which she knew she was a total ‘badass’. Ranaut, who was allegedly in a live-in relationship with Pancholi as per reports, spoke about being mistreated and manhandled by the actor. She said in an interview with NDTV in 2016, “It was a very difficult and very harsh time. I was physically abused. I don’t have to go into details. I felt trapped. You feel people might help you. But there are no free lunches. But you are going you fall for it..." © Twitter She went on to share, “When this man, who used to be my father's age, hit me so hard that my head was...I fell on my head on the floor and it started to bleed. I must have been 17 or something. I picked up my sandal and I hit his head hard and it started to bleed as well. That day I thought I am actually a born fighter, it made me a total badass." While Aditya Pancholi was married to actress Zarina Wahab at the moment, Kangana confirmed rumours that it was him who abused her, indeed. © Kangana Ranaut Today the actress is one of the top stars in the industry and is known for being fearless and unabashed in sharing her two cents. Guess, Kangana did learn how to have thick skin and be a total badass in life, after all. On the work front, Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie will feature her as an Air Force pilot. Her film ‘Tejas’ will be released in October 2022 worldwide. Source: Times Now View the full article

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is set to tie the knot with his fiancee Vini Raman on March 27 in Melbourne. It’s been almost two years since Maxwell got engaged to his long-time girlfriend of Indian-origin but their wedding plans took a hit due to the coronavirus pandemic last year and they had to wait one extra year to get hitched. But finally the date of their wedding is out and the people are pretty excited about it. © Instagram/Vini Raman One thing they are more excited about is their wedding invite. With just over a month left in the wedding, the invite for their special ceremony has created a lot of buzz on social media because of the language it is imprinted in. Maxwell’s soon-to-be-wife is an Australian citizen of Indian origin and many were wondering what their marriage would look like and the invite that is doing rounds on social media has answered that. That’s because their engagement ceremony was done in proper Indian rituals and while sharing the pictures from the function, Vini had made it clear that they would tie the knot in a grrand Indian wedding. Who Is Vini Raman? © Instagram/Vini Raman Vini was born to Tamil parents of Indian-origin in Australia. I am currently in my mid-twenties and as I brace myself to enter my 30s with every passing moment, I realise I am not really the same person as I was before after having hit my quarter-life crisis. via GIPHY You see, growing up isn’t easy. You are constantly being challenged by life, burdened down with newer and more responsibilities and always finding yourself in and out of a struggle. But perhaps, it is exactly that which prepares us for what life really is - unpredictable. And if I were to recollect all the life lessons I have learned in these couple of years and apply them to myself before I hit the big 30, I would definitely start by letting go of these few things while I am at it: 1. Toxic Friendships © T-Series Most of us end up encountering a few toxic people we end up calling 'friends' because, at the time, we may not know better. These are the people who, eventually, hold you back from being happy by constantly nagging at you and nitpicking at everything you do. As you advance towards your 30s and get serious in life, time to drop these ‘friends’ that never had your best interest at heart. 2. Seeking Validation via GIPHY Be it from your friends, family, bosses or even your partner, it would be a good idea to stop seeking anyone’s validation in your life, as long as you’re happy with what you’re doing. Seeking others’ approval is overrated and will always make you second-guess yourself. Move past it. 3. Parental Notions © Excel Entertainment It is safe to assume that by now, it would have been made clear that what our parents want for us may not always be synonymous with what we want for ourselves. And, that is okay. It is understandable to walk in our parents' footsteps when we’re young, but now, with adult life kicking in, it is absolutely alright to form our own perceptions and beliefs in life with our own set of experiences. 4. One-Sided Love Stories © Dharma Productions That one incomplete love that we may have carried for quite some time with a heavy heart, needs to finally be left behind. Because even though at one point in our lives they, or the idea of them, brought us immense joy, now, all they bring is a feeling of despair. You deserve more than just memories and the idea of someone, and maybe that is why you need to let go of that one-sided love. 5. Pressure Of Having Figured It All Out via GIPHY We are constantly told about how by the age of 30 we need to have it all figured out in life and make it big. That pressure constantly allows us to undermine ourselves and cultivate self-deprecating feelings. I am here to tell you that life can’t always run on a pre-set timeline and sometimes, it's okay to not have it pinned down. Stop comparing yourself with others because while others may think you are not achieving anything, you may be gaining perspective in life. Work on your own timeline, life is not a race. 6. Comfort Zone © Dharma Productions One of the easiest things in life is to fall into a comfortable, familiar pattern and one of the most difficult things, is to come out of it. Don’t become a prisoner to mediocrity and comfort, and dare to step out of your comfort zone when you hit your 30s. You won’t just be ready in terms of experience to take on big risks in life, but you might also regret not trying, at least. There is no growth in your comfort zone and your 30s are the perfect time to change that. 7. Idea Of Having It All via GIPHY We often end up burning ourselves out in our 20s by telling ourselves how we need to grind day in and day out because that is the only recipe for success. You don’t have to have it all to be doing well in life and even if you strive for the idea, you don’t have to kill yourself over it. Chances are, your desires and your ambitions will change with you as you grow older in life and maybe then having had it all at the cost of your peace wouldn’t feel worth it. Take it easy, you’ll be just fine. View the full article
