  1. PM Narendra Modi constantly gets trolled, this is a fact. We're not contributing to it, or commenting on it, we're just stating it. But, you wouldn't expect the Prime Minister himself to be aware of the extent of trolling, right? He's a busy man, he has so much to do, so many countries to visit but turns out he knows everything and he proved it with his latest tweet. Author Ray Dalio recently met PM Modi and they both discussed a lot of things, including meditation, the World, and India. It's a long video, but if anyone wants to watch, here it is. Ray Dalio then shared the video on Twitter, showering PM Modi with praises. Isn't that what everyone does after meeting him? Not surprising at all. In my opinion, Indian's Prime Minister Modi is one of the best, if not the best, leaders in the world. I had an opportunity to explore with him how he thinks as well as what he thinks. If you're interested in listening to it, here it is: https://t.co/upiMLOgKCA — Ray Dalio (@RayDalio) November 7, 2019 Now, PM Modi's reply is something else. It's probably the most bizarre thing he's ever tweeted, very unlike him, and even though fans are appreciating how savage it is, some are even concerned about him because of how unexpected it is. My friend @RayDalio, the trolling after these words of praise would give you the best opportunity to test your meditation skills and being “like a Ninja.”! ð On a more serious note, the points below make for a healthy discussion, in the spirit of being radically open minded. https://t.co/5fXkYZdSfu — Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) November 8, 2019 Never in a million years, I thought I would see the Prime Minister of our country use the words 'trolling' and 'like a ninja', let alone in one sentence. People have one word for him - Wah modi wah... These types of tweets are rare. Unlike Trump, Modi has always been quite formal in his tweets. https://t.co/0UTPksgpIc — Bharath Bhat (@metheonlyb) November 8, 2019 Okay. नमॠनमà¤à¥¤ PM Modi's sense of humour Rocks ðð. Absolutely loved the repartee. https://t.co/Lhw7LXf82s — Kya ** Hai (@Bestum_best) November 8, 2019 He basically trolled everyone. When It Comes To Trolling With STANDARD Intact .. Then No One Can Beat Modi Ji.. He Is Legendary & His Tweets Are EPIC ð https://t.co/MPHGAnb0JM — Anupam@one&Only (@DareDevilAnupam) November 8, 2019 What is that picture? Waah Modiji waah ð¤£ð¥ð pic.twitter.com/n748C5Orm6 — Aparna ð (@AppeFizzz) November 8, 2019 Hmm. True statesman is one who trolls the troll in classiest way possible! ðð¼ https://t.co/p0FLo1DSZf — Dr. Jal Kukdi (@Jal_Kukdi) November 8, 2019 View the full article
  2. On 12th October, Sanju Samson smashed an unbeaten 212 for Kerala, breaking a slew of records in the Vijay Hazare Trophy clash against Goa. Showcasing his batting abilities, Samson smashed 21 boundaries and 10 sixes while scoring at a strike-rate of over 164. It was the fastest double hundred in Lis A cricket and also the highest individual score in the tournament's history. Samson's blazing knock off just 129 deliveries also saw him going past Abid Ali's record of the highest individual score by a wicket-keeper in the domestic circuit. Thanks to his artistry with the willow, he became the sixth Indian to register a double hundred, joining the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Karn Kaushal. © Twitter While his batting masterclass, once again, bolstered his case for a national call-up, it also drew plaudits from cricket pundits and fans alike. Noted politician Shashi Tharoor also backed Samson to go all the way and urged the Indian selectors to take note of his latest batting genius. In transit in Frankfurt on the way to the @IPUparliament meeting in Belgrade when i get the news that Thiruvananthapuram's own Sanju Samson has hit 200 in a Vijay Hazare 50 over game! Ten sixes, 20 fours. Don't know if our white-ball selectors were watching?! pic.twitter.com/tnJmf6QNRM — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) October 12, 2019 "In transit in Frankfurt on the way to the @IPUparliament meeting in Belgrade when i get the news that Thiruvananthapuram's own Sanju Samson has hit 200 in a Vijay Hazare 50 over game! Ten sixes, 20 fours. Don't know if our white-ball selectors were watching?!," he wrote on Twitter. Exactly a week after Samson's double hundred and Tharoor's praising tweet, Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) came up with a clever plan to give the Congress leader a dose of his own medicine. Taking a dig at Tharoor's high-end vocabulary, Royals took a page from his notebook to generate a hilarious response. 5 days late; took us that long to frame it. ð Call us puerile or rodomontade, but in this farrago, the @IamSanjuSamson innings was a pulchritudinous source of amazement. ð https://t.co/9hSa5ug6lf — Rajasthan Royals (@rajasthanroyals) October 17, 2019 "5 days late; took us that long to frame it. Call us puerile or rodomontade, but in this farrago, the @IamSanjuSamson innings was a pulchritudinous source of amazement," the IPL side tweeted. As long as your runs are more than the letters in your words, you will keep us fans of @IamSanjuSamson happy!! Best wishes @rajasthanroyals https://t.co/mL4X0DZKQ4 — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) October 18, 2019 For someone who is famous for his oratory skills, Tharoor would have surely been stumped by Royals' brilliant response. And, that's probably why wordsmith Tharoor was quick to leave a humble response to Royals' witty remark. "As long as your runs are more than the letters in your words, you will keep us fans of @IamSanjuSamson happy!! Best wishes @rajasthanroyals," he tweeted.
  3. Team India's win against Pakistan yesterday set the temperature rising across the world, as Indian cricket fans across the globe celebrated the Men in Blue's unbeaten streak against Pakistan, 7-0, in the World Cup. Social media feeds were flooded with congratulatory notes for Team India and one such message was tweeted by recently appointed Home Minister, Amit Shah. Another strike on Pakistan by #TeamIndia and the result is same. Congratulations to the entire team for this superb performance. Every Indian is feeling proud and celebrating this impressive win. #INDvPAK pic.twitter.com/XDGuG3OiyK — Amit Shah (@AmitShah) June 16, 2019 Shah's 'another strike' comment has not gone down well with cricket fans and people are kind of disappointed with his choice of words. Home min @AmitShah likens India win over Pakistan to 'another strike'; yes, it's a great win but it's a cricket match and not war:no one died out there. We won because we played a much better game. There is still a World Cup to be won! Let's do the chest thumping on 14th July! — Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) June 17, 2019 Amit Shah compares India's win over Pakistan in the world cup to the Balakot strike. We just cannot be comparing a cricket match to an army strike in the first place. Very irresponsible statement coming from the home minister. — Chandni Prashar (@ChandniPrashar) June 17, 2019 People feel that the tweet was in bad taste, especially coming from a senior politician, and that comparing this win to a 'strike' was unnecessary. Cricket is just a game. The rest is all hype. I certainly didn't like the statement put out by @AmitShah and the @AmitShahOffice either, on yesterday's game. He must know that he's the HM of a country and not a state - period — #TheRebel #I still remain vigilant (@ravishankar5248) June 17, 2019 I thought it was a cricket match. Seriously "strike" @AmitShah . pic.twitter.com/eAq0s9Ze7m — Om Prakash (@Om81624017) June 17, 2019 @AmitShah don't compare cricket with your politics. Keep it aside. They won because they played a good game. It was not a war. https://t.co/XswG4GzBTW — Tonakshi Kalra (@Tonakshi_0494) June 17, 2019 Cricket and the battlefield are two separate things and while it's admirable to have a strong sentiment towards one's nation, sometimes we forget that as humans, our words can often leave a deeper wound than anything else.
  4. The ICC World Cup 2019 match between Virat Kohli's Team India and Sarfaraz Ahmed's Team Pakistan was a tale of two countries. While the fans of the Men in Blue saw some of their best cricketers such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli shine bright despite the cloudy weather of Old Trafford, Manchester, the supporters of the Men in Green were absolutely devastated by the way their side played on Sunday. WHAT AN INNINGS! India opener Rohit Sharma brings up his century off just 85 balls. How many more can he add to his tally from here? #TeamIndia | #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/j1z8OSoCf4 — ICC (@ICC) June 16, 2019 After winning the toss, Ahmed decided to bowl first with the hopes of surviving the clash against a mega team like India on a DLS method when they come in to bat in the second innings. What Ahmed failed to analyse was exactly how strong the Indian batting order is. Scoring a total of 336 runs in 50 overs, the Bleed Blue army gave a mammoth task to their opponents to follow up. Once Pakistani opener Imam-ul-Haq got dismissed off Vijay Shankar and the partnership between Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman was broken, thanks to Kuldeep Yadav, the task became impossible for them, despite the DLS method coming into operation. Team India's batting and bowling sides performed at the pinnacle of their potential and came up with an ideal outcome, defeating the Pakistani squad by a huge margin of 89 runs. One of the great supporters of the Indian national team, Mumbai Police tweeted, wishing them the best of luck ahead of the game. India, see green? Accelerate. Like you always do. #INDvsPAK #CWC19 #IndiavsPakistan pic.twitter.com/BlYJQiMbGA — Mumbai Police (@MumbaiPolice) June 16, 2019 “India, see green? Accelerate. Like you always do,” their official account tweeted. After pausing the game at least four to five times, Kohli and Co were finally able to seal the deal, registering their seventh victory against their cricketing rival on the World Cup platform, keeping their streak of being unbeaten against Pakistan alive. 6. While they might not be favourites to win the tournament, the Pakistan cricket team is arguably the most unpredictable team in the ongoing ICC World Cup. The Sarfaraz Ahmed-led brigade lived up to its 'unpredictable' tag back in 2017 when they broke Indian hearts to clinch the Champions Trophy title. Since then, we've seen the Pakistani team elating fans with surprising performances and, at the same time, staying true to their nature, they have also given their fans some forgettable moments. On 31st May, Pakistan produced yet another embarrassing moment when they were bowled out for a mere 105 runs against the rampant pace attack of the West Indies. Asked to bat, Pakistan were treading with caution when Imam-ul-Haq's soft dismissal down the leg side instigated Sheldon Cottrell's iconic 'salute' send-off. Soon, Imam's opening partner Fakhar Zaman (22) followed him back into hut, with Andre Russell getting his name under wickets column. © Reuters Russell struck again in the 10th over to get the better of Haris Sohail (8) and Pakistan suddenly found themselves reeling at 45/3. Babar Azam (22) and captain Sarfaraz (8) were expected to carry the baton for their side, but Oshane Thomas and Jason Holder ensured their stay at the crease was brief. In what turned to be a massive collapse, Pakistan lost seven wickets for just 43 runs as Windies pace battery ran amok at Trent Bridge. It was Pakistan's second-lowest total in the World Cup history. And, while their fans were clearly unimpressed, cricket pundits, too, had their own opinion about their dismal show. Dear Pakistan, quickly work on your back foot play...the world is watching...you will get nothing to drive this WC. — Sanjay Manjrekar (@sanjaymanjrekar) May 31, 2019 Amongst the criticism, former Indian cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar also came up with a savage tweet to troll Pakistani batsmen. Taking a dig at them by highlighting their frailties, Manjrekar took to Twitter and wrote: "Dear Pakistan, quickly work on your back foot play...the world is watching...you will get nothing to drive this WC". As soon as the Manjrekar's tweet surfaced, cricket fans across the globe came up with their analogy of Pakistan's batting. Most of the dismissals were unlucky ones, especially Fakhar's, Imam's and Sarfraz's dismissal. Otherwise a poor display today. — Mohammad Hasham (@MhHasham) May 31, 2019 pic.twitter.com/g8PfcLrCTt — ravi... (@raviThenameof) May 31, 2019 They are still living in 2017. They targeted those short balls with some serious pace ..... — Jayesh Kumar Dey (@dey_jayesh) May 31, 2019
  7. 'Necessity is the mother of invention'. This honestly seems like some ancient desi proverb at this point because it exactly applies to 'jugaad' and no one in the world does that better than Indians. If there's a problem, there's always a solution, even if it doesn't look like one. I've always said that if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid, and looks like even Anand Mahindra agrees. He's always pretty active on Twitter admiring or sharing new stuff and this time he decided to share what looks like a Whatsapp forward video just because it was that innovative. What do you do when you don't have an excavator but just a 'charpai' or a 'khatiya'? Well, here it is- I think the phrase 'Necessity is the mother of invention' was invented by Indians! Here's a new product our Farm & Construction sectors will have to consider as a replacement for an excavator: A 'Khatiya-vator'. #whatsappwonderbox pic.twitter.com/av3qNdIAHd — anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) May 21, 2019 Well, that's pretty cool. The most surprising part for me is someone like Anand Mahindra scouting through all the Whatsapp messages and videos he recieves to find stuff like that. Am i going to hell for laughing at this? pic.twitter.com/R5HSnSc14l — Harsha ð®ð³ (@SriNow) May 21, 2019 Someone replied with more innovations. Our farmers have invented one more than one ...... Another example . pic.twitter.com/8jofVuNSID — AJAY GHANGHAS ð®ð³ð (@AJAYGHANGHAS16) May 21, 2019 Wow. This is not surprising.... my father made a cooler with an oil cane which costs only 250 rupees. And the interedting thing is that this cooler gives much cooling than a symphony cooler. And it works with solar energy saves electricity bill. — Viren Sharma (@SonuSha7409) May 21, 2019 Yep. Only we Indians can find another use for a 'Khatiya' in the daytime like thisðð — Charuhas (@charuhasmujumd1) May 21, 2019 Why does it sound like something Doofenshmirtz would make? 'Khatiya-vator' sounds cool ð — Harleen Kaur (@HarleenParmar) May 21, 2019 Someone literally gave the definition of jugaad. An instant solution to the problem raised by the demand of situations. Moreover the solution provided by an instant action may not be the permanent solution but good enough to meet the present. May be called "Juggat" in sanskrit and "Jugadd" in hindi — Abhrankash (@abhrankashdas) May 21, 2019
  8. 'Game of Thrones' is over and the fans are sharing their disappointment with the last season together online and people who never watched the show are probably trying to find something new to brag about not watching. Among all the memes and theories and fans just analyzing and over-analyzing all the things that didn't make sense, someone asked a simple question - how would one sum up the entire plot in one tweet? Can someone please explain the plot/story of the entire #GOT series in a single tweet? — Amy Cuddy (@amyjccuddy) May 20, 2019 Well, considering the huge number of important characters and so many different and interesting storylines, it seems like such an impossible thing. If eight seasons weren't enough for a satisfying conclusion to the series, it's pretty hard to sum it up in like 280 characters. But, people never disappoint and fans came through with some answers that were pretty spot on. The replies actually had so much range. Some were proper like this - The worst leaders believe they are good and right. The best know they are flawed and despite having imperfections visible to everyone, they persist. https://t.co/kFbhnrjHUj — Cameron Sadler ð (@RulesByCam) May 20, 2019 And some were basically - Porn with Swordfights. — Half Eaten Chicken Sandwich (@ChickenHalf) May 20, 2019 William Shatner gets it. Emphasis on the hot mess and a big disappointment. Craycray incestuous family rules 7 kingdoms. Baddies from the north invade so most put away their differences to fight together. After winning they go after the craycray Queen who didn't help them fight and everything ends up in a hot mess and a big disappointment. The end.ð https://t.co/IA9qHeJCLE — William Shatner (@WilliamShatner) May 20, 2019 Literally. The lone wolf dies, but the pack survives. Narrator: In the end, they all went their separate ways, never to see each other again. — joe bader (@jaderobe) May 20, 2019 Yep, exactly. 9. Have you ever been on Twitter and accidentally liked a tweet while scrolling? Yep, almost every single person has done that, it just happens sometimes. But nope, if a celebrity makes that mistake - that too with the most stupid tweet ever - they have to be crucified. People aren't allowed to make a mistake now, especially when you're in the public eye. That's why as soon as someone spotted Karan Johar liking a tweet on the social media website which was praising Akshay Kumar and his new movie 'Kesari', while also simultaneously abusing Shah Rukh Khan, the hashtag #ShameOnKaranJohar starting making the rounds. ' @iamsrk it's high time you should know that you have been keeping Snake on your Neck. This ungrateful @karanjohar can stoop low for money and fame. If he doesn't apologize publicly, we will trend day and night against him and fill his mention with abuses.#ShameOnKaranJohar pic.twitter.com/mSlJ0OKyvm — BRK. Aaj twitter pe thodi gadbad ho gayi but baaki sab #firstclass hai. ð — Karan Johar (@karanjohar) March 22, 2019 But, the best tweet came from the man himself. SRK hates 'SM clarifications' but had to defend his bestie so his fans could stop abusing Karan. And, I couldn't stop laughing when I read this tweet, it's the most SRK tweet ever, tbh. I hate clarifications on SM. @karanjohar is technologically challenged but has other good qualities like his taste in clothes!?Just like Life, twitter doesn't come with instructions, so mistakes r natural....& also he has fat fingers. Go easy all, Make Lov not War...it's more fun — Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) March 22, 2019 Everything that can be said about King Khan and his famous wit has been said before but the fat fingers comment had me DED. The king of wits, indeed.
  10. Don't get me wrong, I love Twitter, but it's like a breeding ground for trolls most of the time. But along with the bad, there's also the good and here's a heartwarming story about one of the best things that internet and social media have made possible. A loving and concerned son tweeted about his dad's new donut shop and how his dad is sad about no customer showing up. My dad is sad cause no one is coming to his new donut shop ð pic.twitter.com/y5aGB1Acrc — billy (@hibillyby) March 9, 2019 Such a cute little shop and such a hardworking man, the tweet soon went viral, because who wouldn't want to help out a family like that. The tweet currently stands at 234,468 retweets and 495,978 likes and all of it happened in just one day. Soon, he posted the address and Instagram page for the shop and lo and behold, everyone started showing up to buy some donuts. 11. The twelfth edition of the Indian Premier League is almost here and Twitter is already ablaze, with fans representing all of the eight teams coming up with funnier, more creative ways of roasting their rivals. With the announcement of the IPL 2019 schedule for the first two weeks of the tournament making headlines yesterday, we learnt that the opening game would be between Royal Challengers Bangalore and the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings. ð¨ Announcement ð¨: The #VIVOIPL schedule for the first two weeks is out. Although there's still more than a month to go for the first IPL match to take place in previous champion's home ground in Chennai, the two franchises decided to get on with social media savagery already. As soon as the schedule came out, Royal Challengers Bangalore came up with this tweet: A spicy south Indian Derby for starters - but we prefer the sweet sambar... What makes the victory even sweeter is the fact that the franchise was banned from the league due to match-fixing allegations and this was their year of redemption. Not so exciting for Bengaluru though as Kohli and gang were amongst the lowest ranked teams (6th in 8 teams) and did not even qualify for the playoffs.
  12. Most of our politicians from all major parties are on Twitter now, and honestly, social media has become such a big platform for campaigns with parties directly trolling each other, and it has personally given me a lot of second-hand embarrassment. And since Twitter has become the biggest way for the government to spread their agenda, someone figured out a way to literally control the tweets on Union Ministers' account, and it doesn't even look that hard, tbh. Pratik Sinha, the co-founder of Alt News, made a Twitter thread about how a Google Doc circulated by the BJP's IT cell which contained all the quotes and tweets which are then posted by all the ministers was somehow changed. 14. Anand Mahindra's Twitter account is a goldmine of inspiration and his followers, which are over 6 million, can vouch for the same. Earlier, he had tweeted about Vijayan and Mohana, a couple in their late 60s, who own a tea shop and spend the money they earn to travel the world together. Now, he took to Twitter to salute the working women and their struggle in comparison to their male counterparts. © Reuters The Chairman of the Mahindra Group has been babysitting his one-year-old grandson for the past week and it was during this time he realised how tough things are for working women. So, when he came across this illustration, he couldn't stop himself from sharing it with his followers. The illustration shows a race track, where men and women dressed in formal attire are at the start line of a race, getting ready to compete with each other. The only difference is that the track is clear for the men, but filled with hurdles for women. I've been helping to baby-sit my year old grandson this past week & it's brought home to me the stark reality of this image. 15. For a team that arrived in UAE as one of the tournament's favourites, the Pakistan cricket team looked like a shadow of the side that won the ICC Champions Trophy last year in the 2018 Asia Cup. The performance of the Sarfraz Ahmed-led side was so miserable that it beggared belief. Beginning their campaign against Hong Kong, Pakistan produced a dominating performance on their way to an eight-wicket win. Their next game against India was expected to be a livewire, but Pakistan just couldn't negate the opposition bowlers before succumbing to an eight-wicket loss. Their clash against Afghanistan, too, was far from what their expected as Pakistan survived a scare against the minnows. Already under pressure for their mediocre performances in the tournament, Pakistan didn't learn from their previous mistakes as they once again got steamrolled by India in the Super Four clash. Requiring a win to stay alive in the competition, Pakistan's worst outing came against Bangladesh who caused a major upset in the tournament with their emphatic 37-run win. © BCCL The loss against Bangladesh pushed Pakistan out of the tournament which caused a massive backlash on the social media. From the former cricketers to the cricket fans, Sarfraz and his team attracted a lot of criticism for their shambolic showing in the Asia Cup. While some blamed Sarfraz's captaincy, others targeted the Pakistani batsmen for their debacle in UAE. Amid all the criticism, a Pakistani journalist tried to troll Shoaib Malik by pinning the blame on the Pakistani batsman for their poor showing against Bangladesh which, in turn, led to their ouster from the Asia Cup. Taking to Twitter, the journo wrote: "Someone should ask Shoaib Malik if he has impressed Sania Mirza, can he play for the team in the next tournament? After pleasing his wife, can he do what the nation expects from him?". Arre bechaara.. clearly the poor guy has been watching a different Asia Cup!! https://t.co/c6JV6IHE8Y — Sania Mirza (@MirzaSania) September 26, 2018 The tweet attracted a lot of heat which eventually saw the journalist deleting it. But, not before, Sania Mirza - wife of Malik - had her say on the tweet. Coming to the aid of her husband, the Indian tennis sensation said: "Arre bechaara..clearly the poor guy has been watching a different Asia Cup". Ofcourse he did !! ðð½‍âï¸ https://t.co/gHjWXhgm8H — Sania Mirza (@MirzaSania) September 26, 2018 After being told that the Pakistani journalist had deleted his tweet, Sania said: "Ofcourse he did!!". For those who didn't know, Malik was arguably one of the top performers for Pakistan in the Asia Cup. With 211 runs in five games to his name, he was the second highest run-getter for his side after opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq (225 runs). Malik's unbeaten fifty was the reason why Pakistan managed to survive a scare against Afghanistan in the group stage. © Reuters Unfortunately, in the Super Four clash against Bangladesh, Malik was looking to build on his innings to aid Pakistan when he got dismissed to a blinder of a catch pulled off by Mashrafe Mortaza. The right-hander was sent back into the hut for 30 runs. But, it was clearly not his fault. The reason Pakistan lost the match and eventually crashed out of the tournament was probably because their batsmen failed to apply themselves. It's needless to say that it was a collective failure and not Malik's fault - something Sania highlighted sarcastically in her tweet.

  20. Ahead of the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup, the football fans and pundits were busy putting their money on proven teams like Germany, Brazil, and Spain amongst other heavyweights. And they weren't wrong either. After all, the aforementioned teams share 10 World Cup titles amongst them. But, what eventually unfolded in the first phase of the tournament has surely left everyone reconsidering their calculations. The so-called heavyweights have witnessed a great resurgence from the sides that were initially expected to pose little threat to their respective campaigns. The fact that defending champions Germany were left shell-shocked by a rampaging Mexican side in their opening match, highlights the level of competition on display in the ongoing mega event. But, just where the big teams have slipped, a rejuvenated England side has taken huge strides to bolster their hunt for the coveted trophy. For a team that was probably expected to play with flair and more energy under coach Gareth Southgate, the Three Lions have undeniably outdone themselves. © Reuters The high-on-confidence England brigade have romped their way to securing six points from two group games so far. The Group G leaders defeated Tunisia 2-1 and then absolutely massacred Panama to orchestrate a 6-1 riot. While there have been a lot of positives for Southgate's men, one thing that has been pretty hard to overlook is Harry Kane's effectiveness in front of a goal. The Tottenham Hotspur striker has been pivotal for his side in every game they've played so far. He scored a brace in the first game and then notched up a sensational hat-trick against a toothless Panama, to become the first English player to achieve the feat since Gary Lineker in 1986. © Reuters With five goals to his name in just two games so far, Kane has pipped the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku - who have both scored four goals apiece - to emerge as the leading goal-scorer in the tournament. Such has been his confidence that Kane has now sounded a battle cry, taunting their next opponents - Belgium - in an emotional tweet. Professional. Clinical. Bring on Belgium and the knockout rounds. ð #ThreeLions #WorldCup pic.twitter.com/QXSsHNoejq — Harry Kane (@HKane) 24 June 2018 Ecstatic with their performance against Panama, Kane took to Twitter and shared a photo of himself with the caption: "Professional. We keep going. ðâ½â½â½ #WorldCup #ThreeLions ð¦ð¦ð¦ pic.twitter.com/c3UDUqL9EN — Harry Kane (@HKane) 24 June 2018 He followed it up with another tweet where he was seen basking in the glory of the first hat-trick in the ongoing World Cup. "Love this team. Proud of a first World Cup hat-trick. We keep going. #WorldCup #ThreeLions," he tweeted. Building on their prolific run, England are understandably eager to win their final group game and top their group ahead of the knockout rounds. But, it's not going to be that easy. Southgate's side will now have to contain the equally-menacing Belgium team, which has also been turning a lot of heads with their attacking threat. While some might say that England are yet to face a quality opponent, their recent performances are, nonetheless, worthy of praise. And, come 28th June, if the Kane-led Englishmen continue doing what they have done so far, the Belgium team might just emerge as the second-best side on the pitch.

From Nirav Modi to Vijay Mallya, many prominent Indian businessmen have defaulted on large loan payments leading to the seizure of their properties and businesses here in India. While it's a matter of grave concern, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor shared an interesting take on the current scenario of large loan defaulters in India through a witty tweet: Received on whatsApp: What changed before and after Independence in India? Before Independence: People who looted us came from Britain. After Independence: People who looted us go to Britain. — Shashi Tharoor (@ShashiTharoor) June 19, 2018 A perfect way to summarise the current situation in India, isn't it? Bringing back black money and stopping the defaulters from running away, aren't topics that the Modi government is comfortable talking about and while it's true that the government is taking measures to stop the rot, it's already too late. After Tharoor's tweet, many on Twitter were quick to point out an earlier tweet of Mallya, who referred to Tharoor as an old friend in one of his earlier tweets. Sir when you going to London?
