  1. On Wednesday, batsman Sachin Tendulkar praised the Marylebone Cricket Club's (MCC) decision to remove run-out at the non-striker’s end from unfair play laws, but experienced England pacer Stuart Broad criticised the decision as "unfair". The MCC, as the custodian of cricket laws, has chosen to relocate the law dealing with non-end striker's run-outs from its "unfair play" section. It refers to hitters backing up too far at the non-striker’s end which has frequently sparked heated discussions about the spirit of the game. Several players, including Ravichandran Ashwin, India's top off-spinner, have argued that it is a fair method of dismissal. However, Tendulkar has always objected to the term "Mankaded" being used to describe his dismissal. The MCC committee introduced new rules in cricket, and he was supportive of a handful of them. ‘Mankading dismissal’ is the first one. Tendulkar expressed his displeasure with the term "Mankaded" being used to describe his dismissal. Cricket is a beautiful sport. It allows us to challenge existing norms and help refine laws of the game. Some of the changes introduced by MCC are praiseworthy.#CricketTwitter pic.twitter.com/bet0pakGQM — Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) March 9, 2022 In a video shared by his from his official Twitter handle, the Indian legend expressed his delight at the move to a clear and basic run-out, claiming that it should have always been run out in his opinion. He also stated that he was not at ease with everything, but that would no longer be the case. Englishman Broad, on the other hand, called the MCC's decision to legalise 'Mankading,' a run-out dismissal at the non-end, striker's "unfair," claiming it needs "zero skill." Every One Know that Kapil Dev ManKaded Peter Kirsten in Tour Of South Africa 1992-93 & @therealkapildev looks angry after that. But Not many knew that He Warned Kirsten In Game 1 that's why he Out him in Game 2 & show his aggression on batsmen. There is a footage from both Games. pic.twitter.com/Sz4xfc065N — Zohaib (Cricket King) (@Zohaib1981) July 14, 2021 There were some other changes made by the MCC that the International Cricket Council (ICC) are likely to accept and include in their own rule books. For instance, until now, any fielder who moved in an unsportsmanlike manner was simply given a 'Dead ball,' potentially cancelling a perfectly executed shot by the batter. The batting team will now be awarded 5 penalty runs because the action was both unjust and intentional. The new rules also make it illegal to use spit on the ball, removing any potential grey areas that could exist if fielders ate sugary sweets and then altered their saliva to apply to the ball. The use of saliva will be treated the same as any other unethical method of modifying the state of the ball. View the full article
  2. South actor Prabhas, who became a pan-India star post the historic success of the Baahubali series, is currently waiting for the release of his next, Radhe Shyam. Helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the leading lady and is slated to hit the theatres on March 11. View this post on Instagram As only a few days are left for the film's release now, Prabhas is on a promotion spree. Recently, in an interview, the actor opened up about getting intimate on screen and revealed that he generally tries to avoid such scenes. Talking to Pinkvilla, Prabhas shared that he is still uncomfortable doing kissing scenes. However, he performs such scenes in case the script demands it, as he did in the case of Radhe Shyam. The actor, who had several bare-body scenes in the Baahubali series, also doesn't like going shirtless in front of the camera. Before shooting for such scenes, he makes sure to keep the number of people watching him on set to a minimum. View this post on Instagram Sharing about his discomfort, he said, "Director wrote like that and it's a love story, so I can't even say no. In a commercial film, we can still avoid but in love stories, it is needed. Even now, I get uncomfortable with kissing scenes and removing my shirt. I check how many people are there on sets and say let's go and do somewhere else. In Chatrapati also, Rajamouli sir made me remove shirt on the sets and said you can now do anything". Last seen in Saaho, Prabhas is excited for the release of his much-hyped film, Radhe Shyam. Sharing his thoughts about the movie, he stated, "It has a very interesting storyline. It's a war between love and destiny. There are going to be a lot of twists in the climax. My role Vikramaditya is a little complicated in the film but we have tried to put in a very realistic, subtle, calm, and also energetic. The visuals are never seen before, vintage, set in Europe". For the unversed, Radhe Shyam is set in Europe in the 1970s and revolves around Vikramaditya, a palmist, who is torn between destiny and his lady love Prerana. Besides Radhe Shyam, he also has films like Salaar, Adipurush, and Project K in his kitty. View the full article
  3. Hrithik Roshan, who is counted among the hottest stars of Bollywood, was last seen in Siddharth Anand's War. Also featuring Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor, the action-thriller turned out to be the biggest hit of 2019. Vaani played a small yet significant role in the film and her onscreen chemistry with Hrithik too was praised. However, did you know that several reports in 2018 claimed that before Vaani, Disha Patani had signed War? Yes, you read that right! View this post on Instagram At that time, several reports linked Hrithik with Disha and claimed that she walked out of the film as the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star flirted with the actress leaving her “uncomfortable”. While there was no proof in support of this claim, a section of social media users had trolled the actor. Soon after, he took to Twitter and slammed the websites for spreading false narratives. Posting the screenshots of such news articles, Hrithik blasted one of the publications by calling the story "garbage" and asked the writer to refresh his/her mind. View this post on Instagram "थोड़ा gym जाओ। mind से सारा कचरा निकल जाएगा! ख़ासकर बीस donkey किक्स, बीस monkey रोल & 2 dog jumps आप के लिए सही रहेगा। ज़रूर कीजिएगा। गुड luck. गुड day. And लव you टू :) pic.twitter.com/ikuNWmie21 — Hrithik Roshan (@iHrithik) August 28, 2018 Later, Disha too clarified that the news of her walking out of War was not true at all. She even called the gossip "childish and irresponsible" and added that Hrithik has been one of the most "dignified and joyful" people. View this post on Instagram On the film front, Hrithik is currently busy with the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha co-starring Saif Ali Khan. Also, he is all set to reunite with Siddharth Anand for Fighter co-starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The much-awaited movie is said to be India’s first aerial action franchise. While Disha was last seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai and currently has films like Ek Villain Returns, Yodha, and KTina in her kitty. View the full article
  4. Telugu stars Nani, Krithi Shetty and Sai Pallavi are busy promoting their much-hyped film Shyam Singha Roy these days. The makers released the trailer recently which has created quite a stir among fans, who are now looking forward to the film's release. The lead stars are giving interviews continuously so that their film reaches a wider audience. During the promotions recently, Sai Pallavi slammed a journalist who asked about Nani and Krithi's kissing scene in the film and made them uncomfortable during the interview. View this post on Instagram Talking to Nani and Krithi, the journalist had reportedly asked if they were comfortable while performing the romantic scenes shown in the trailer. The scene in question sees Kriti and Nani kissing each other. View this post on Instagram Sai jumped in quickly to express her views and said, "In the film, we play respective characters. There is a certain setup and mood-setting that go into the making of such scenes. On screen, we are actors. Now (off-screen), we are just typical individuals. We don’t feel uncomfortable while filming such scenes. We feel uncomfortable while you ask questions like these". View this post on Instagram In continuation, the interviewer asked Krithi to share her views on the romantic scenes in Shyam Singha Roy adding that her debut film Upenna too had the sizzling Jala Jala Patham song. Responding to the question again, Sai said, "Asking a teenage actress if she felt comfortable while acting in romantic scenes is as stupid as it can get. Actors are bound to act in certain scenes if the script demands," reported mirchi9.com. Well, we totally agree with Sai Pallavi’s views. What about you? Share your views in the comments below. For the unversed, Shyam Singha Roy is a period reincarnation drama and is set in Hyderabad and Kolkata. Nani will be seen playing a dual role opposite Krithi and Sai Pallavi. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film also features Madonna Sebastian and other south actors in pivotal roles. Shyam Singha Roy is scheduled to hit the big screens on December 24. 6. It’s sad that Neeraj Chopra, after his big win at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, has been subjected to constant pestering by famous media personalities. The star athlete who made history by becoming the first Indian to win a gold medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020 with a throw of 87.58 meters in the javelin competition, has found it hard to stay away from the media attention following his incredible achievement. View this post on Instagram After his big win, he soon became the talk of the town. Notable journalists are seen asking him about his relationship status and now, Red FM’s popular RJ Malishka Mendonsa has taken it to a next level by making him uncomfortable with her dance performance. She shared a video of her and the Red FM staff dancing in front of the ace javelin thrower. Despite Chopra looking uneasy and forcing a smile on his face, the radio jockey and her team continued dancing to the tunes of Ude Jab jab zulfein teri. She wrote on Twitter, “Ladiesssss…Yes, I got the hard-hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing for #udejabjabzulfeinteri, and then tell me I did it for all of us.” Here’s the video: Ladiesssss..Yes I got the hard hitting, deep answers too but..Take the first 4 secs before the cam moves to the zoom call to guess who we are dancing for ;) #udejabjabzulfeinteri and then tell me I did it for all of us #gold #olympics #neerajchopra @RedFMIndia @RedFM_Mumbai pic.twitter.com/SnEJ99MK31 — Mumbai Ki Rani (@mymalishka) August 19, 2021 After the video went viral, people started to bash her for objectifying the male athlete. 7. Therapy, formally known as psychotherapy or counselling, helps individuals deal with their problematic behavioural patterns, emotions and unresolved developmental issues among several other stressors as well. With the help of a therapist, one can make their way towards resolving certain deep seated psychological problems that they face. This in turn can immensely improve the quality of life as well as make way for the best version of themselves. But despite its potential benefits, what makes men less likely to approach therapy? 1. Need To Look Tough A lot of men genuinely believe that most of their problems can be resolved by being tough. By presenting a facade of toughness they push away anyone who tries to approach them about their problems with the intention of helping them. Apparently seeking or needing help isn’t supposed to be considered the standard male behaviour. © iStock 2. Stigma Surrounding Mental HealthMost men these days acknowledge benefits of therapy. However, they associate it with a certain weakness of ‘character’. In most cases they’d be personally reluctant to approach it due to the stigma associated with men’s mental health issues. © Pexels 3. Difficulty Opening UpIt is an unfortunate rite of passage where boys internalise certain social messages during their formative years. They learn from their parents not to express vulnerability or show a symptom of care. By the time these boys grow up, they’re left unable to trust anyone with their emotions. They’re often confined by their rigid and problematic notions of masculinity. © iStock 4. Normalisation Of Men Acting OutDue to the gendering of certain emotions like anger and rage as masculine (sigh), men often choose to vent their issues through them. While no emotion should be avoided, including anger, many men treat it like a crutch to navigate their feelings. This normalisation of men acting out as ‘Men being Men’ prevents them from ever addressing their deep seated issues. © iStock 5. Inability To Express Their EmotionsThe first hurdle some men face is that they may be so out of touch with their emotions that they do not even realize that they are going through turbulent times. © iStock It is not biologically determined that men would approach therapy less than women, however certain social conditions and influences play a crucial role in their hesitance. Perhaps men can feel more comfortable with the subject of mental health if they realize how prevalent issues like depression and anxiety are among other men. This would help break the taboo as well as the illusion of toughness. Therapy can be an important first step to living the most fulfilling version of your life. The support provided by your counselor can help you get rid of toxic habits, improve your ability to make and maintain relationships, and assuage unresolved feelings. View the full article
  8. When the biopic on celebrated actress and a beloved politician Jayalalithaa was announced, people had super high hopes from Kangana Ranaut being roped in to play the lead. Bollywood's 'Queen' can do justice to any role you give her and hence, when the teaser released last night, everyone was pretty much excited. One shouldn't judge a book by its cover, right? However, one minute and 32 seconds of sneak peek at Thalaivi had the fans convinced that the whole garb is not as realistic as they expected. Kangana's look has now become the center of all memes and jokes on the internet. But critics feel that some biopics make a caricature out of a person, instead of celebrating them. 9. 'Game Of Thrones' has a cult following for a lot of reasons. One of which is the fact that the show has stellar costumes that look authentic to the timeline they shoot in. However, wearing such context-heavy costumes comes at a heavy price. Sometimes, the fabric or the design was so uncomfortable that the actors could do nothing but sit through long and tiresome shooting hours. Maisie Williams, in a recent interview with a leading publication revealed that the prep for 'Game Of Thrones', aside from the strenuous shooting in extremely cold locations, also had to deal with uncomfortable straps and bellies. For Maisie Williams, as Arya Stark in the initial few seasons, had to wear a strap across her chest to hide her breasts. At 15, while normal teenage girls had crushes and an awkward teenage life, Maisie Williams had to wear a strap and hide her breasts for long shoot hours as her character Arya, was pretending to be a boy in the series. And after the strap stopped working, Maisie Williams had to wear a "chubby belly" to "even out the playing field" so no one( other characters) would suspect her a girl on the show. © HBO It was only in the sixth season that the costume designers decided to let Arya grow on the show so they gave a bra to Maisie Williams as a part of the costume. This made the costume in general so much more comfortable for Maisie Williams.
  10. Ever since the kick-off of the Round 16 matchup of the UEFA Champions League between Juventus and Atletico Madrid, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo looked dialled in, prepared to put the team on his shoulders and bring home the victory. However, winning the game by one of two goals was not enough for Juventus to make it any further in the UCL as Los Rojiblancos were leading the Italians by two goals on aggregate. This meant that Juve needed at least three goals within 95 minutes of game-time in order to proceed to the quarterfinals. “No Problem,” said the five-time FIFA Ballon d'Or holder as he single-handedly dismantled his opponents scoring twice with beautiful headers in the first half and a penalty in the final minutes of the game, thus completing his hat-trick and providing his club with the ideal victory they could have asked for. It is therefore understandable that emotions were flowing throughout the athletes who dominated a rival they once lost to in the most disappointing fashion not too long ago. However, the man of the hour, Ronaldo himself, might have let these emotions get the better of him as he celebrated his final score in a way that was, let's just say, not suitable for his more younger fans. What Diego Simeone can do, Cristiano Ronaldo can do better ð#JuveAtleti pic.twitter.com/O7jEJZDBjI — CRonaldoDaily.com (@BreatheRonaldo) March 12, 2019 Apparently, the reason behind such an animated way of expressing his success was that Ronaldo was mocking Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone who'd celebrated in a similar manner when his team beat Juve 2-0 in the first leg. The fact that the footballer's little boys and girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez were present at the venue at the time of the celebration just made things a lot worse. When asked about how he felt about Ronaldo's avenging celebration, Simeone told Sky Italia: 'Ronaldo is the best in the world, he can put in these performances on big nights. He will have seen how I did it at the Wanda Metropolitano and, like me, was trying to show his character.' What has come to be known as the 'Cojones' celebration (translate at your own risk), the Argentine coach was fined £17,000 by UEFA back then. For a much-amplified version of Simeone's celebration, we are yet to see what kind of punishment is Ronaldo looking at. ð 3 Weeks Ago: ð¦ð· Diego Simeone celebrates with his 'Cojones' after @Atleti beat @JuventusFC 2-0. ð 3 Weeks Later: ðµð¹ @Cristiano celebrates with his 'Cojones' after scoring a hattrick and sending @JuventusFC through. ð¸â #Ronaldo pic.twitter.com/9KvGe5MW9t — Pényaldo (@penyaldo) March 13, 2019 Ronaldo's Troll Game Is Strong: CR7 steals Atletico manager's celebration after eliminating them from Champions League ð¥https://t.co/UWD4HVkyuA — IBU_Tankerman (@chespi310) March 13, 2019 It will be hilarious if Ronaldo gets suspended from the next game for the 'cojones' gesture and Juve lose. — Mixed Racial Arts (@MixedRacialArts) March 13, 2019 Cristiano “Cojones” Ronaldo ðð¤·ð½‍âï¸ — Titang (@titangex) March 13, 2019 Haha Ronaldo showing Diego Simeone who has the Biggest Cojones!!! ððððð#JuveAtleticoMadrid #UefaChampionsLeague pic.twitter.com/FuyKRqtS9w — ðð¨ð«ð ðð«ðð° ððð¯ðð¥ðâ (@LordDrewZavala) March 12, 2019
  11. PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Capital Talk. Photo: Geo News screen grab KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said he was uncomfortable with the use of contempt of court and suo motu especially when it comes to disqualification of politicians. He was referring to the disqualification of PML-N?s Nehal Hashmi announced Thursday. The PPP chairperson would be speaking on Geo News show Capital Talk that will be aired Thursday evening. While speaking about Hashmi?s disqualification announced by the Supreme Court, Bilawal said he respected the court?s decision but in such cases standards should be same across the board. SC disqualifies Senator Nehal Hashmi, orders one-month jail term for contempt Supreme Court had taken notice of PML-N senator's contemptuous remarks on May 31, 2017 ?What about him then who arrested the judges and the other one who ordered an attack on the Supreme Court,? Bilawal said. When asked if he was equating former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal replied in the affirmative. Bilawal also refuted the reports of MNA Faryal Talpur contesting senate elections, saying it was a perfect example of fake news.
  12. Modern day dating is getting crude by the day and there is nothing we can really do about it. While some trends need to be included again, most dating trends in today's day and age are quite dated. Modern day dating has become less fastidious and more agile in nature. Everyone is in a rush to let go, get it on, move on or hook up. The sanctity of old traditions are conveniently forgotten, as this generation thrives on easily replenishable thrills! While most things from old school dating are forgotten in convenience, there are some trends that still haven't changed. For instance, the inevitable and ambiguous question of who pays for the date. Do you go dutch or does the man still pay? Or are women voicing out their concern over something that's manipulating their financial power and are willing to foot the entire bill at times? Well, it's all subjective I guess and if it's talked about before hand, this dilemma can easily be sorted, if not restored. (c)Thinkstock/Getty Images For instance, this gentleman here dealt with 'who pays' the bill so effectively, we're actually quite proud of this fantastic moment (maybe). Just goes to show, before jumping into probable fancy dinners with your date you met on an online platform, be wary of what you're getting into or make sure your date has all modern dating ethics in place! Scroll down to see how minilogo37 dealt with what he thought was an irrevocable situation with his Tinder date and got away, scott free and how! (Imgur) While most people silently applauded his 'ethical' dating skills, some of them weren't too happy with how he dealt with the situation! So, the next time you plan on going out with someone you met on an online dating platform, define the odds, maybe even talk about them and if you can't, you can probably chicken out of the situation?
  13. Bang in the middle of transitional weather, claims of an ex-flame and attending way too many screenings with a certain Sussanne Khan (previously, Sussanne Roshan)—controversy fella, Hrithik's been having a bit of a ball lately. Only difference? The ball's not in HIS court. There's just so much that's debatable about what's right/wrong in his life that we've arrived upon the conclusion: we don't need to care. That said, and coming back to our forte, his recent outfit was a weather-appropriate deal breaker for us. Think colour, fit, comfort, affordability and hardly any effort—it had every ingredient of an Olympic sartorial winner. Plus, while we're already on the verge of taking our next big holiday, Mr. Roshan's already dressing for it. © Viral Bhayani Let's get dirty and break things down here. On a sunny (cc: humid) Sunday evening, on an outing with his kids, the man was eyeing a great time with his do-littles. Yet, he had to represent 'daddy cool', so evergreen menswear staples came calling for him. But, just because you have to go around making a point in public, doesn't mean you resort to crazy moves. To be frank, this could have easily gone into the loose T-shirt, cargo shorts and flip-flops zone. But being the maven he is, the actor is flaunting the perfect combo here (all while keeping his comfort alive). Meaning, a fresh polo T-shirt, lounge-level jeans and simple black trainers. A style groupie, we'd easily call, Sunday mannerisms done right. © Viral Bhayani But sweat not, there's a lot more to this. Besides being a great colour pick and an outfit-winner for hazel green-eyed daddies—Hrithik's jeans are striking the biggest chord with us. Zoom in, and you'd notice a drawstring making a quick appearance. Maybe a hit-an-miss detail, but that's exactly what's making us dig this denim dearly. Here's the thing: we're all for elastic waist bands, denim all-season and classic wash jeans for any day of the week. And this to us, looks like a remarkable mix of them all and yet something, that any guy can easily buy at the mall. So, if you hate wearing denim for its sporadic discomfort this is the right way of doing it anyway. © Viral Bhayani Still, there's nothing that's really bowling us away here. This might be a great way of impressing your lazy-arse hormones, but no-effort outfits can really backfire sometimes. But clearly, if you're an A-lister and India's only answer to Superman, you have the knack of making anything look right.

  15. Ever looked at a swanky building, a hotel or a mall, being constructed—the labourers toiling it out in the harsh sun, lifting heavy material on their lanky shoulders, sweat dripping down their muscular yet malnourished bodies tanned from being too much in the sun. When the mall or the plush hotel is done, a security guard is positioned at the entry. Those very people, with their tattered clothes, dishevelled hair, and sunken cheeks are not allowed to enter. The labourers worked to raise a building for a price, and they keep paying it forever. That’s how the world works and capitalism functions. It’s sad, it’s a bitter pill the working class swallows every day. Artist Daniel Garcia came up with a brilliant illustration titled ‘Your Own Personal Slaves’ that points to the oppression and modern form of slavery that works to make our comfortable everyday lives possible. © Facebook From the coffee we drink to the clothes we wear, hundreds of poor hands work tirelessly to make it happen. We pride ourselves in the lifestyle we have earned for us; we flaunt our clothes and our cars, but we never realise that it’s actually the less fortunate who are actually behind those flawless pieces. The modern consumers, even if unknowingly so, end up being a reason why workers, especially in the third world countries, work in deplorable conditions with a pay that hardly justifies the hard work they do. Sometime back, a report by Amnesty International revealed the horrific working conditions in Democratic Republic of Congo where workers, many of them underage, mine minerals used in smartphones. A documentary by Pulizter Center showed how young children in Congo are forced to work in mines in sub-human conditions, risking their health and lives itself. © Reuters This is the sad paradox of our modern lives—we are consumers of luxury and technology, and even if we are sympathetic towards the plight of those less privileged, we might inadvertently be contributing to their misery. Daniel’s illustration is a stark reminder of that paradox and it is important that we spread the message. To see more of his work, check out his Facebook page or visit his website here. What's surprising and sad is that the illustration has been banned by Facebook for 'not meeting its community standards.' Guess it's up to us now to share the message.
