Indian actress and model Poonam Pandey has gone through what seems like a rather turbulent few months. Poonam, who has a crazy fan following on her social media handles like Twitter and Instagram, was last year, admitted to the hospital after allegedly being assaulted by her husband Sam Bombay. The actress suffered injuries on her head, eyes, and face, after which she filed a complaint against Bombay, accusing him of sexual assault, leading to his arrest. © Instagram/Sam Bombay According to reports, She'd also mentioned how the assault led her to get a brain haemorrhage. Poonam is on the course of recovery and is now a contestant on Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut's show LockUpp. © MX Player Now, the actress has gone on record to reveal the details of her assault and her marriage with Bombay in the latest episode of the show. According to reports, Poonam revealed that she was beaten up during the course of her marriage. The actress also revealed how she was often locked up in her room and would even think about suicide. “This jail, the food, my sleep, it is luxury for me. I was in a relationship for four years and for those four years of my life, I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t eat. I would not eat for days, that’s why I crave vada pav. I would get beaten up. I would get locked in one of my bedrooms. My phone was broken so I couldn’t make any calls. And the next time I would just feel that I should kill myself. I’ve tried to kill myself multiple times.Kutte ki tarah maarta hai na, kutte ki tarah (He would beat me up like a dog)," she said. Recently, Bombay also spoke regarding the incident and here's what he said. © Instagram/Sam Bombay “Let me ask you, what is domestic violence? Is it physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, or mental? There are too many things here. Millions of men are suffering and they have no way to get out of this. A woman makes one call and the police will grab the man and put him in custody. But I have to go to the cops 20 times and yet they won't do anything. What else can I say?” “Let me tell you that she charged me with molestation and sexual assault on our honeymoon. And, this happened within a week of our marriage. An FIR was lodged. A few days later, she called me back and said that molestation is a big word and she had no idea what molestation is. It is beyond my comprehension how one can be charged with molestation on his honeymoon. Later, she took back the charge. As I said, nobody will believe the man; whatever he says doesn't matter.” said Bombay, while speaking to ETimes. Source: ETimes View the full article

Mohammed Shami is one of the most loved members of the Indian cricket team and one of his greatest qualities as a person is his ability to remain the true version of himself regardless of whoever he is talking about. So when he was asked about his comments on how good or bad has Rohit Sharma been ever since he was picked as Virat Kohli’s replacement as the next white-ball captain, the pacer did not try anything fancy and made sure that he wasn’t buttering up the newly appointed skipper in any shape or form. Shami made it clear that he had absolutely no opinion about Sharma’s captaincy simply because he has never played under his leadership. However, he did acknowledge the Hitman’s success as the skipper of the Mumbai Indians over the years having won five Indian Premier League titles. He further spoke about how he appreciated the captaincy of Virat Kohli talking about the kind of support he showed during his tenure. According to Shami, Kohli used to be the bowlers’ captain who used to actively participate in the decision-making process and liked to get involved with problem-solving both on and off the field. Mohammad Shami said, "I haven't played under Rohit Sharma's captaincy so I don't know about playing under him, but he has won titles for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. I hope he carries on for India in white ball cricket". (On Sports Tak). — Mufaddal Vohra (@mufaddal_vohra) February 10, 2022 The pacer added that while people become the greatest of supporters when the team is winning, for a captain it was extremely important to be by his bowlers’ side when they seem to struggle with their form and Kohli was always there for them. Upon seeing the kind of honesty with which Shami responded to the question about Sharma’s captaincy, the fans of the Indian cricket team were really happy and showed their respect and appreciation for the pacer’s candour on Twitter: Bodied . Only guy who spoke facts. No buttering and over praise. — Sai Krishna (@SaiKingkohli) February 10, 2022This type of honesty was needed from Rahane. — Rohit (@_rohitjangra_) February 10, 2022Shami bhai seedhi baat — Saransh (@CricSaransh) February 10, 2022Brutally honest — Surya (@Surya_One8) February 10, 2022No one in Ind team is as honest as Lala when answering questions! — 𝛑itindra (@be_ritindra) February 10, 2022Despite announcing the fact that he was available to play for the Indian cricket team during the ODI series against the West Indies squad, Mohammed Shami was left out of India’s 15-man team along with players like Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja as the BCCI wanted to give an opportunity to some of the younger, rising stars of the country. As a result, Shami once again missed the chance to play under the leadership of Rohit Sharma and form an honest opinion about his skills as a captain. View the full article

When Southern superstar Nagarjuna and Tabu were seen together in the 1996 romantic film Ninne Pelladata, the chemistry was undeniable and fans instantly wanted to see them do more movies together. The actor was earlier married to Lakshmi Daggubati, but the couple called it quits and he eventually married actress Amala. While his family life was sorted, rumours of him being too close to his good friend Tabu started doing the rounds. It was reported that the two dated for over 10 years before it was obvious that his family life was disturbed so they called it quits. Tabu and Nagarjuna's wife were also best of friends and apparently Tabu always stayed at their house when she visited Hyderabad. It was obviously never confirmed if they were indeed together but a lot of media reports and sources claim they were very much together. In an interview with TOI, Nagarjuna addressed the rumours and spoke about their friendship. “Yes, Tabu is a fantastic friend of mine. Our friendship dates back to when I was 21 or 22 and she was only 16. It's almost like half a life...There is less talk about our friendship. I have nothing to hide about her. When you mention her name, my face lights up... It's that simple. Well, when I say things like that, if you want to read them, it's your point of view...For me she is a beautiful person and a beautiful friend. She always will be,” he said. © Instagram Even his wife Amala had dismissed the rumours and in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, she mentioned that she was unaffected. “When there are serious issues like the blasts and the flood affecting Mumbai, are people actually wondering about what Amala's best friend is doing in her home? It's really saddening. Nobody should bother what happens under my roof. I am happy. I'm sure even she must be hurt, but we never discuss it. Tabu is one of the persons, besides Danny Denzongpa, my rakhi brother, from Mumbai who I am in touch with. And, yes, she stays with us when she comes here," she said. Karan Johar was recently a part of an interview panel where he was joined by other filmmakers like Zoya Akhtar, Nikkhil Advani, Reema Kagti and Sameer Nair. During the conversation, host Anupama Chopra of Film Companion asked the producers about the pay disparity in the Hindi film industry and the rise in actors’ fees despite Bollywood going through a tough phase due to the shutting down of theatres in the last two years. Karan stated that he is fed up with young actors demanding over Rs 25 crore despite the poor performances of their previous films. He said that even during the lockdown when the films were releasing in theatres, a lot of younger actors increased their fees for no reason. © Film Companion He said, “I am so fed up. I have seen prices of actors rise through the worst period of cinema for no reason. They hadn’t had a release, their last release was a failure, their films have not taken off, and yet they are just [rising their prices] because they are riding on the digital money. They have gone beyond deluded. And we all have to just suck it up and work with them because this is what we do.” He further added, “They don’t understand. Because in the climate that we are in, nobody is taking theatrical backends. You are taking a percentage of profit instead, which you can offer as well. Striking those deals with megastars make sense. What I am not understanding is that there is a younger order that is yet to prove their muscle at the box office. But instantly, you hear [them asking for] Rs 25, 30, 35 crore. What are these numbers?” He continued, “Then you want to show a report card to them and say, hello, this is what your last film opened to.” Zoya said that it is “offensive” that crew members are paid so less and these actors charge a bomb. Karan added to that, “I would rather pay top dollar to members of the technical crew, who actually make the film special.” He even wondered why he paid Rs 15 crore to some actors and Rs 55 lakh to editors who have actually saved a film multiple times. While Karan refrained from naming any young Bollywood actor, earlier this year there were reports of his falling out with Kartik Aaryan. The news of Karan dropping Kartik from Dostana 2 have been doing the rounds after which Dharma Productions had confirmed with a statement, "Due to professional circumstances, on which we have decided to maintain a dignified silence – we will be recasting Dostana 2, directed by Collin D’Cunha. Please wait for the official announcement soon." © Film Companion So, was Karan hinting at Kartik while talking about "young actors"? Let us know what you think in the comment section below. After a long wait, the new trailer of Don't Look Up is finally out. Featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in lead roles, the star-studded satire revolves around two astronauts who try to warn the world about a killer comet approaching the planet. However, no one takes them seriously. In the trailer, astronomy professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his student, Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence) are trying to warn the world about the giant comet that can destroy the planet. From meeting the US President (played by Meryl Streep) to leaking the news on the Internet, they try everything possible, however, no one believes them. When the government finally takes the warning seriously, the astronauts choose not to focus on rescuing the world and instead decide to mint money out of it. At one point, in the trailer, they even get arrested by the FBI. Written and directed by Adam McKay, the end-of-the-world comedy also highlights the political divide. The film’s cast includes Meryl Streep, Rob Morgan, Ariana Grande, Jonah Hill, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Scott Mescudi, Timothee Chalamet, Melanie Lynskey, Ron Perlman, Himesh Patel, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, and Cate Blanchett. If you have even been a fan of Sourav Ganguly, you’d know how competitive the man could get. From showing up for toss later than his opponents to taking off his t-shirt and swinging it in the air just to make a point, Dada is a true fighter, and the followers of the Men in Blue love and respect him for everything that he has done for the team and the country. However, it seems as if Ganguly’s competitive nature got the better of him when he spoke about the mental health of international cricketers who belonged to other countries in a virtual press conference on Tuesday. India great Sourav Ganguly lights fuse to mental health debate, claims Aussies ‘just give up’ STORY >>> https://t.co/BYcR69d2Jh pic.twitter.com/5uB596zVoJ — Fox Cricket (@FoxCricket) April 7, 2021 “I feel we Indians are a bit more tolerant than overseas (cricketers). I’ve played with a lot of Englishmen, Australians, West Indians, they just give up on mental health,” he said. “In the last six-seven months, with so much cricket being going on in the bio-bubble it’s so tough. Just going from the hotel room to the ground, handle the pressure and come back to the room and then get back to the ground again, it’s an absolutely different life.” “Look at the Australian team, they were supposed to go to South Africa for a Test series after India played there. They refused to go there.” Virat Kohli on Glenn Maxwell, who is on a break from cricket for mental health reasons. pic.twitter.com/0YbJEmcUKV — ICC (@ICC) November 13, 2019 “And always there’s this scare of Covid-19 – ‘hope it’s not me the next time’. You have to stay positive, you have to train yourself mentally. All of us have to train ourselves mentally so that good will happen. It boils down to training,” Ganguly said. “You just have to deal with it. It’s the mindset that you get into. Life has no guarantees, be it in sport, business or whatever. You go through ups and downs. You just have to bite the bullet. Pressure is a huge thing in everybody’s life. All of us go through different pressures. Virat Kohli strongly feels that professional help on the mental-health front should be a part of team set-ups ⤵ — ESPNcricinfo (@ESPNcricinfo) February 19, 2021 “When you play your first Test, it’s the pressure of making yourself established and making the world know that you belong at this level. “And when you go to that level after playing many matches, it’s about keeping up the performances. A little bit of a blip and it doesn’t stop people from scrutinising you and that adds to athletes in a long way,” he added. However, Ganguly’s comments were not taken lightly by those who have been through severe mental health issues or those who take it a bit too seriously than Ganguly does: The guy is the board president. By saying this, he has made it harder for Indian players to come out and talk about struggling with their mental health. Discussing mental health within the Indian society is tough, Ganguly has made it harder for Indian players. https://t.co/uyKf4RHBN8 — Clive (@_vanillawallah) April 7, 2021Sourav Ganguly needs to be spoken to for his comment on mental health. Has he not read about the suicides? It’s irresponsible coming from a board that needs to lead by example, especially when cricketers are now constantly battling mental fatigue in between several bio bubbles. — Arjun (@ArjunNamboo) April 7, 2021One of my pet peeves is loose talk about mental health. This from Sourav Ganguly is as unnecessary as it is insensitive. With mental health, each case is unique, the same case is different each day. If you've been there you would, or should, know better. https://t.co/qe4YC56XUW — Anand Vasu (@anandvasu) April 7, 2021Coming from a country where anything to do with mind=being mental, Ganguly giving gyan on mental health to players from nations with far greater empathy & facilities for mind issues is definitely rich. But then, our top guys take pride in shooting off their mouths! — Uthra 🇮🇳 (@Bakwasbaaji) April 7, 2021What Ganguly said reflects a generational divide in India on how issues of mental health are perceived and nothing to do with caste divide or hierarchical oppression. — Krish Bharki (@KrishKiPhD) April 7, 2021 View the full article

Virat Kohli and his Royal Challengers Bangalore were on a two game winning streak ahead of their clash against KL Rahul and Kings XI Punjab. After a really long time, the franchise was finally looking like the team they are supposed to, based on the kind of talent they have onboard and are placed at the third spot in the points table of the Indian Premier League. #IPL2020 | #IPLPOINTSTABLE | #sports pic.twitter.com/Sel0gOEAJh — Captain News (@captainnewstv) October 16, 2020 So obviously, it makes sense for the skipper to feel a little better than how he usually felt around this time in the tournament in the past couple of seasons and could finally have some fun on the field. Before RCB took on KXIP on Thursday night at Sharjah, Kohli bursted out some moves during the warm up session and as soon as they reached the internet, they instantly went viral. ffs Kohli 😭😂 pic.twitter.com/rrdP48e8Tv — Jatin (@LogicalBakwaas) October 15, 2020 From cradling like a baby to popping out some of the classic Bollywood style moves, Kohli was vibing and felt in a mood completely different from what we usually see on any other given day. His dance moves created some hilarious memes on social media every Indian can relate to: Mummy: beta aunty ko dance karke dikhao 5 yo me: pic.twitter.com/CvZwvdmhSC — Pro.Fool buddy🌈 (@ColFool_) October 15, 2020 Kohli’s solo dance that never made it to his sangeet https://t.co/wrXBQBUBaE — Sonali Thakker Desai (@SonaliThakker) October 16, 2020 Mummy: beta aunty ko dance karke dikhao 5 yo me: pic.twitter.com/CvZwvdmhSC — Pro.Fool buddy🌈 (@ColFool_) October 15, 2020 When backbenchers got 30 out of 100 pic.twitter.com/pMb9dRyHNa — Asif IQ Hn (@ImAsifIQHn1) October 16, 2020 pic.twitter.com/4WHyuLIQuO — MemerSoul (@MujheYaadKiya) October 15, 2020 He ended up scoring 48 runs off 39 deliveries and was the best player to play for the Bangalore franchise and even managed to put up a decent total for Punjab to chase with minimal help from Aaron Finch, Shivam Dube and Chris Morris in the first half. It was their bowlers, especially Mohammad Siraj (44 runs in 3 overs) and Washington Sunder (38 runs in 4 overs) that led to their fall against the struggling KXIP team. One positive outtake from this loss was how Kohli simply took it in good stride and is already looking forward to their next game against yet another struggling roster in Rajasthan Royals on Saturday at the Dubai International Stadium.
