  2. Cem Uçan won the hearts of millions of fans for his role as Aliyar Bey in 'Dirilis: Ertugrul'
  3. Remember Suryakumar’s dismissal in the fourth T20I between India and England in Ahmedabad? David Malan’s catch in the deep off Sam Curran’s delivery had sent Yadav back to the pavilion, and while it wasn’t a clean take, third umpire Virender Sharma went with on-field umpire’s ‘soft signal’, stating a lack of conclusive evidence. Inspiration of Virender Sharma #thirdumpire #INDvsENG #BCCI pic.twitter.com/6EPnK4yV4c — Samarth Patil (@SamarthDPatil) March 18, 2021 Now, however, new reports seem to suggest that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has banned the ‘soft signal’ rule from the upcoming 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The rule, according to which the TV umpire considers the ‘soft signal’ from the on-field umpire has been the cause of controversy in recent times. IPL 2021: No 'soft signal' this year, 3rd umpire can fix 'short run' error Read @ANI Story| https://t.co/PF8BVpwKdd pic.twitter.com/6Hi4UiH0Jc — ANI Digital (@ani_digital) March 27, 2021 As reported by ANI, on Saturday, March 27, the BCCI updated Appendix D – Clause 2.2.2 of the playing conditions for the IPL. The clause states the rule regarding the soft signal. Here’s how the BCCI has updated the ‘soft signal’ rule for IPL 2021: “Soft Signal: On-field Umpire giving Soft Signal while referring the decision to the 3rd Umpire will not be applicable.” Sources close to the development told Sportskeeda, ““There have been cases wherein the soft signal has kind of created confusion rather than giving clarity to the third umpire and that is why it was felt that going back to the old method of referring decisions to the third umpire if the on-field umpires are not sure should be followed.” According to the updated rules, the third umpire can now overturn short run decisions from the on-field umpires. In the last edition of IPL, the on-field umpire gave a controversial decision which eventually led to Punjab Kings losing the game against Delhi Capitals. The new rule should iron out such issues in the future. The upcoming edition of IPL is all set to begin from April 9 with the opening match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. View the full article
  4. The Nintendo Switch Pro is rumoured to launch sometime this year and we’ve been following the rumour grapevine to know more about the upcoming console. There are some rumoured upgrades that we can’t wait for to become true while some upgrades that remain a dream right now. There have been various rumours suggesting the next Nintendo Switch will be a bit more than an incremental upgrade. Personally, I’ve been a Switch user ever since it launched but over the years I’ve been wanting certain upgrades for the past few years. Here are some of the upgrades that I would like to see on the next Nintendo Switch 1. Better Battery Life © pexels-lisa-fotios Currently, the Nintendo Switch cannot last longer than 4-5 hours on a single charge which is not really ideal for a portable gaming system. With an upgraded SoC, there is a good chance that the next Nintendo Switch might deliver slightly more power backup in line with modern smartphones. 2. More Internal Storage © pexels-lucie-liz The current Nintendo Switch only comes with 32GB of internal storage which makes the system look quite archaic. Today we have smartphones that come up to 512GB of internal storage and it wouldn’t hurt to see a little more room for users to store their games. 128GB of internal storage would be ideal especially since we can expand it via the microSD card slot up to 1TB. 3. 1080p Display © pexels-kevin-williams We will have to make comparisons with modern smartphones as both devices more or less use the same architecture and components. Currently, the Switch has a 720p display but an upgraded 1080p display would change the experience drastically for Nintendo Switch users. Even budget smartphones today use 1080p displays which aren’t too expensive as compared to display units from four years ago. Rumours suggest the Switch pro will have an AMOLED display which also makes it possible to have a higher resolution display as AMOLED screens are slightly more power-efficient than LCD displays. 4. No More Drifting Joy-Cons © nathan-mullet-unsplash The Joy-Con controllers have been plagued with the drift issue from the very first day of launch and it’s high time Nintendo addresses this issue with the newer model. Nintendo has even faced multiple lawsuits over the issue which only means Nintendo needs to do better. The Joy-Cons are also quite cheaply made and it wouldn’t really be a ‘Pro’ model if no premium materials are used for the build quality of the new Joy-Cons. 5. 4K Gaming © erik-mclean-unsplash This isn’t really a necessity simply because Nintendo games look fantastic even on 1080p resolution. However, it has been rumoured that the next Switch will be able to upscale games and content to 4K resolution while being used in docked mode. This comes particularly handy especially since 4K TVs have now become mainstream. 4K TVs are now relatively affordable as well and are now the key focus of other gaming companies like Sony, Xbox, and Nvidia. Rumours suggest Nvidia is making an upgrade to the Tegra SoC for the new Switch which will have the ability to upscale content to 4K resolution. View the full article
  5. Players of the upcoming game, based in the Wizarding World will be able to create transgender witches or wizards set in the 1800s. The game will let players customise their character’s voice, body type and gender placement in school dormitories according to Bloomberg. The game will be taking a step forward towards inclusivity even though the creator of the world J.K. Rowling has expressed transphobic views in the past. © Warner Bros. Games Hogwarts Legacy is expected to launch later this year by publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc. and developer Avalanche Software. The game was met with much criticism after Rowling’s comments last year due to which many fans were on the fence about Hogwarts Legacy. Fans of the franchise were not sure whether they could enjoy the game given Rowling’s recent comments. This is not the first time where a game will let players choose their character’s gender. Cyberpunk 2077 offered a similar option to players at launch. In Hogwarts Legacy, players will be able to create a character that either has a masculine or feminine voice no matter what body type. It is surprising to see this sudden change, given Rowling’s transphobic comments and tweets from last summer. Some fans denounced the author for her offensive opinion which was even denounced by movie stars of the franchise Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. The author was also criticised for including a transphobic plot line in her book Troubled Blood. Her comments also rattled people working on the game according to Bloomberg’s report. © Warner Bros. Games Due to the backlash from fans, the development team for Hogwarts Legacy have fought to make the game as inclusive as possible internally. They have even lobbied for a transgender character to be added in the game apart from the new customisation options. Bloomberg’s report says there was resistance at first, however, the customisation feature has now been included according to people familiar with the project. Source: Bloomberg View the full article

Other sensors include an ultra-wide sensor and a macro lens as well. The photos also reveal that the smartphone will support 33W fast charging and will most probably support the Power Delivery protocol. The phone is also rumoured to have a 5,900mAh battery. © Xiaomi-Leaks-PH Mi India is also expected to launch a second ‘Pro’ model which is expected to come with upgraded specs compared to the regular Redmi Note 10 model. For starters, the smartphone is rumoured to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G chipset which we’ve already seen on the Mi10i. A third ‘Max’ model is also expected to launch alongside the two models where it will have a larger screen. Not much else is known about the ‘Max’ model as of now.
