  1. Entertainment, Entertainment, and Entertainment - these are the three qualities that are needed to attract a viewer to come to the theatres. So far, 2019 has been pretty fruitful for Bollywood. We have had films like 'Gully Boy', 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', 'Kesari', and 'Luka Chuppi' which were intensely appreciated by the audience. Interestingly, the masses have gotten a flavour blend of both intense and light-hearted movies. May was a blend of romantic and political movies. This month, we've had PM Narendra Modi's biopic, which was released post the elections to much fanfare. We also got to see stories that throw light on incidents that are not known to us in detail, like Arjun Kapoor's 'India's Most Wanted', which is inspired by the true events of the capture of terrorist Yaseen Bhatkal. After such an intense end to May, it's time to start the next month with a bang, as viewers are waiting with bated breath to see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's 'Bharat'. June 2019 doesn't have a big line up, but we can assure you that the movies in the pipeline have something interesting to offer if you are a movie enthusiast. Let's look at the movies which should be on your must-watch list: 1. Bharat Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back and viewers are in awe of their chemistry ever since they were first seen together in 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya'. 'Bharat' is an upcoming drama film which is about a journey of a man and the nation together. Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Tabu and Jackie Shroff will be seen sharing the screen in this film. For a Salman Khan fan, the movie is bound to be a visual delight as it will show the actor in different avatars. We are not really sure about the content but we can blindly make a bet that it will fare well at the box office. Are you all set for a roller-coaster ride on June 5th? 2. Kabir Singh Shahid Kapoor is back in the game and how! Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer, 'Kabir Singh', is a remake of the Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy'. The trailer has already generated a lot of anticipation for the film and the viewers have appreciated Shahid for his intense acting. We are sure that comparisons will be drawn but it will be worth the watch. 3. Article 15 © Ayushmann Khurrana/Twitter A movie featuring Ayushmann Khurrana can't be taken for granted as the actor never goes wrong in taking up his scripts. It will be interesting to see what the actor has to offer this time. 'Article 15' is scheduled to release on 28 June, this year and the icing on the cake is Anubhav Sinha taking the director's seat. Ayushmann will be seen essaying the role of a police officer for the first time in this film. A stellar cast that includes Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Zeeshan Ayub will also add to the film. Which film are you vouching for? Let us know in the comments below!
  2. Xiaomi's Redmi phones have been a huge hit for the company. So much so that 'Redmi' is now a separate sub-brand. So far the Redmi has been limited to the budget segment, but the company is about to change that with its upcoming flagship device - the Redmi K20. The Redmi K20, in case you don't know, is a flagship phone, and Xiaomi officials have been calling it the 'flagship killer 2.0'. We still have to wait for it to launch officially to see if it's really a flagship killer, but we do know quite a bit about the phone already, including a picture of it. Rumored Specs That We Know So Far The Redmi K20 has been confirmed to sport Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC, which means the phone will enjoy its space as a flagship phone alongside the Mi 9. As a flagship phone, it's safe to say that it'll carry a minimum of 6GB of RAM, although you can also expect an 8GB RAM variant. © Weibo As for the optics, the Redmi K20 will feature triple cameras on the back. You can clearly see all the three cameras in the render. Here', take a look. © Twitter Furthermore, the primary sensor of the phone is said to be a Sony IMX586 with 48MP resolution. It's the same sensor that's being used by OnePlus for the OnePlus 7 Pro phone, and we're quite optimistic about the picture quality. As of now, there's no info about the other two sensors, so we'll wait for more rate than speculating. And if you're a sucker for slo-mo videos then make a note that the Redmi K20 will also support 960fps slo-mo videos. A few other things we know about the phone is that it'll have a Notchless display, it'll have a pop-up camera and there'll be an in-display fingerprint scanner. Redmi K20 Launching in India Soon Here's the best part - The Redmi K20 is said to be coming to India very soon. The same has been confirmed by Xiaomi India's head Manu Kumar Jain. Most amazing & awaited flagship device launch of the year - #Flagship #Killer 2.0! ð I am in China to attend the launch event next week - on 28th May. Only one week to go! ð Mi Fans! Can not wait to show this incredible device to all of you guys.. ð#Xiaomi â¤ï¸ #Redmi pic.twitter.com/eFTRf7P9xF — Manu Kumar Jain (@manukumarjain) May 22, 2019 Well, we don't have an official date for the phone's arrival in India, but we think it'll happen as early as next month.
  3. There's always that one person who gets upset because they're losing during a board game, so they throw a tantrum, and then leave. If you can't figure out who that person is among your friends and family members, we've got some truly surprising news - it's probably you! Moving on from any existential crises the above paragraph may have triggered - here's why board games are important. And no, we aren't going to list any kumbaya-they-bring-you-closer-together reasons. Rather, they bring out your competitive streak- your hidden need for chaos, vengeance, and absolute victory. Okay, we may have been reminiscing about 'Game of Thrones' and gotten too carried away (but honestly, BRAN?). Anyway, board games are a great way to jog your mind a bit, be it through guesswork or intricate strategies. They're also a great way to get a break from your smartphones, relax with your loved ones, and do something fun without making too much of an effort. Sold on the idea yet? Well, to make your search for the perfect board game even easier, you need to check out our list of the best indoor board games. Check Out The Best Indoor Board Games In India 1. Monopoly © Amazon Monopoly - probably the first name that comes to one's mind when we think of indoor board games. It won't be wrong to state that Monopoly is, undoubtedly, one of the best indoor board games of all time, given it's enduring popularity - mainly a result of the intense chaos it causes. The updated version also has an electronic bank machine, making the classic board game all the more exciting in our jaded, technology-driven times. For those of you who are somehow not familiar with this iconic game, Monopoly deals with trading and businesses. You play the game with just one main goal - to get richer and own more property than your rivals. In retrospect, this was a rather dark game to be playing as an eight year old, but at least life's truths were revealed to us at an early age! MRP : Rs. 1812 Buy it here 2. Scrabble © Amazon Ever since we saw Indravadan and Maya playing Scrabble in that iconic episode of 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai', most of us have played it in the hopes of using the word 'silky' ourselves. Then there's also the fact that being good at Scrabble is akin to being a wordsmith, rather like Shakespeare. After all, playing Scrabble makes one feel like they are roaming the halls of Oxford, studying English Literature, and carrying a tattered poetry collection in a leather satchel. Or maybe that's just us. Anyhow, Scrabble is one of the best board games of all time, and while word games on smartphones have become really popular, if you're looking for some good, classic fun, you should definitely invest in Scrabble. MRP : Rs. 557 Buy it here 3. Guess Who © Amazon Guess Who is one of the best board games for families, especially if you have a large family gathering with smaller children. It's easy to follow and actually quite fun, once you get the hang of it. The tenets are simple: your opponent chooses a character, you ask them strategic questions about their chosen character, and, based on their responses, win the game if you correctly guess their character's identity. This board game is especially good for young kids, as it helps them understand different facial characteristics and logical thinking. MRP: Rs. 399 Buy it here 4. Risk © Amazon As the name suggests, this board game is all about taking calculated risks and hoping they have a good payoff. Risk is all about strategic planning on the battlefield and conquering territory. The game has different elements so you can do secret missions, add a neutral army when there are only two players, or even play a shorter version of the game called 'capital risk'. These modes ensure that the game is flexible in nature, and you can adapt it to your own needs. As such, while the game is on the pricier side, it makes for a good investment. MRP: Rs. 1749 Buy it here 5. Scotland Yard © Amazon Do you guys remember the suspenseful Scotland Yard ads that used to play in the early noughts? Ah, those were the days! If you want to do some more reminiscing, you should definitely order this iconic board game and indulge in a game or two. One of the best indoor board games out there, we can attest to the fact that playing it is as fun as ever before. After all, trying to catch Mister X as he dodges you all around Scotland is pretty thrilling (and may even help you relive some Sherlock mysteries- albeit in a different way). Scotland Yard is perfect for a round or two with friends, and now that everyone is way older, you can also indulge in some Scottish whisky while playing it! MRP: Rs.455 Buy it here 6. Othello © Amazon If you want to try out a new variation of Chess, Othello is the game for you! The board game is named after Shakespeare's play and, rather like it, is relies on using strategic planning to ensure victory. Once you get the hang of the rules, you can participate in longer games that are more challenging and more fun. As such, Othello is definitely one of the best strategy board games of all time. MRP : Rs. 502 Buy it here 7. Carrom © Amazon The smell of powder, the sound of the striker gliding across the board, the need to have that one perfect shot - yes we're talking about the endless summer afternoons we've spent playing carrom. This board game from our childhood is still as intensely competitive as it was when we were younger, which is why it still makes for a great way of killing time on a lazy Sunday afternoon. MRP : Rs. 1.599 Buy it here 8. Game Of Life © Amazon Contrary to what its name may suggest, this is actually a game for kids. It helps teach them the values of life, and what tasks they need to undertake in order to have a good life. However, it's also a good game for adults, especially if you're a bit jaded and want to escape into a fantasy world where you can retire with a big fortune. This game is also available at reasonable prices online, so you should immediately purchase it if you have kids, or are feeling especially nostalgic these days. MRP: Rs. 551 Buy it here 9. The Poll © Amazon Election season has winded up and, irrespective of the results, you should definitely check out The Poll. This is a first of its kind game, based on the Indian elections - you take control of a political party, draft a manifesto, and try to win as many seats in the Lok Sabha elections as possible, through different strategies. The Poll is perfect for both adults and children alike, it helps make one familiar with how the government functions and is complex enough that you'll definitely have to put all that grey matter to use! As such, while The Poll is very new, it's also super innovative, which makes it one of the best indoor board games we've come across. MRP: Rs. 2000 Buy it here 10. Trivial Pursuit © Amazon The classic trivia game, Trivial Pursuit is perfect for family gatherings and for when you and your friends are trying to feel especially cultured. So put your thinking hats on and make sure that you are the first person to collect all six wedges to ensure your victory! MRP : Rs. 1149 Buy it here 11. Cluedo © Amazon One of the best indoor board games out there, Cluedo has probably led to Nancy Drew-inclinations in our younger selves. As such, it is perfect board game for younger kids, and can serve as a precursor to more complex murder mysteries as well. The updated game has a two player version and also features newer characters, ensuring that children will remain hooked onto the central mystery. MRP : Rs. 424 Buy it here 12. Catan © Amazon First and foremost, Catan makes sure you learn essential life skills! It follows settlers in a new territory, as they come across an island after a long voyage. Your aim is to gain land, and build colonies- by bartering, trading, and strategic planning. Expand strategically and you'll win the 10 points required to be a victor! As such, Catan is a worthy investment, though the price of the game may have you asking - “that much for a boarding game?” Well, this version is imported from The States and is of top notch quality. Moreover, Catan was named the Game of the Century and the Perfect Social Game, besides being anointed with other titles, so owning this will give you bragging rights! MRP: Rs. 2,698 Buy it here 13. Cards Against Humanity © Amazon Cards Against Humanity is advertised as a 'a party game for horrible people', and this description could not be more accurate. This is NOT a game for children, rather a party game for adults, so please keep that in mind. With that facet clear, you should definitely pull this game out during a house party, in order to have some wacky fun. This game is also perfect for impressing your crush with your amazing wit, or getting flustered when your combination flies over everyone's heads. As such, this is one of the best indoor board games, and while this particular deck is on the pricier side, it is the first edition and contains the original cards. MRP: Rs. 1,250 Buy it here 14. Jenga © Amazon One of the best family games, Jenga is perfect for both adults and children. The rules are simple- you need to ensure that the tower of blocks doesn't tumble, and you need to use increasingly creative means to do so. This is also a very fun game for a party, especially after a few drinks, as ensuring the tower doesn't fall (while you get all the more wobbly) is definitely a worthy challenge! MRP: Rs. 548 Buy it here
  4. There are some freaks amidst us (me) who love the horror movie genre. So much so, we'd watch them alone if we have to. I don't really know what it is. I guess it's the thrill of feeling something other than sadness or joy while watching movies? That particular tingle when you're watching a horror film is irreplaceable and mostly it's just that and, of course, the special effects, CGIs, production and sound effects that make good horror. © warner bros. pictures Now, just like every year, we bring you a list of special horror movies you must watch this year too. It's always good to delve into a better screenplay and visual effects once in a while, and this year promises to take us away from the usual 'haunted house ghost' series and use a bit more creativity in creating horror content. So, gear up because 2019 promises to be a year of good horror and I hope you catch all of them whenever they release. Here's a list of horror films (Hollywood) releasing in 2019: (1) BrightBurn © Sony Pictures releasing James Gunn's production of a dark horror tale of a superhero boy, who lands from outer space just like Superman did. But, he decides to use his superpower for evil and not for the good of mankind. We can call him the anti-Superman child! Releases on: May 24 Watch the trailer here (2) Ma © Universal pictures Octavia Spencer stars in this psychological horror that'll send shivers down your spine, just by watching the trailer. Tate Taylor, a lonely woman allows young people to throw parties in her basement but later, they realise something is definitely not right about her and things start to, let's see, fall apart? Releases on: May 31 Watch the trailer here (3) Annabelle Comes Home © Warner Bros pictures The first 'Annabelle' movie wasn't that scary, the second one was maybe something you could watch with the lights off, sitting alone on your bed, but the third one looks godawful scary AF by the looks of the trailer. It's actually 'Conjuring' meets 'Annabelle' and this time, the doll's not gonna give up, I feel. This movie is a directorial debut for Gary Dauberman, who actually wrote the screenplay for 'IT' Chapters 1& 2, 'The Nun' and 'Annabelle: Creation' and is now all set to direct his first horror flick, a popular franchise. So, the story revolves around the 'Conjuring' protagonists Ed and Lorraine Warren, who've kept the doll in their room of horrors, never to be touched or brought back to life again. But things don't always have to be the way they are, do they? Releases on: July 5 Watch the trailer here (4) Midsommar © A24 This one is surely one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The movie is a folk horror focused on a young girl reluctantly joining her boyfriend for a trip to Sweden, to join a 9-day festival taking place there. The trailer looks a bit ambiguous but still terrifying. Definitely something different horror-wise to catch. Releases on: August 23 Watch the trailer here (5) IT: Chapter 2 © Warner bros pictures The second part of the Stephen King scary clown novel is back with an absolute bang and we can't wait to see what this one's about. Part two will probably see folks from the Losers Club head back to Derry when the red-haired Pennywise resurfaces to get them, once again. The first part was a great success, so let's hope this one's equally scary. Releases on: September 6 Watch the trailer here (6) Zombieland 2 : Double Tap © Sony Pictures releasing The first one released in 2009 and it was a great watch, funny yet focused on zombies mostly. Remember Bill Murrey? Yup the cast is great and so is the plot and we can't wait to witness a couple of Zombie movies lined up this year. Releases on: October 11 Trailer not out yet (7) Child's Play © United Artists releasing Although the scary doll movie has maintained its sequels pretty well, the new one isn't a part of that. In fact, the new 'Child's Play' is the remake of the original one and it seems as scary as the first one was. The movie definitely has some old-school slasher vibe. Can't wait to see this again. Releases on: TBD Watch the trailer here (8) Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark © Lionsgate With Guillermo Del Toro's screenplay, this movie is based on the Alvin Schwartz books and seems quite interesting. The story is about a young woman with a troubled tale, who decides to turn the horrors of her life into a book, which is later discovered by some teenagers who actually experience the book come alive, through her stories. The movie, of course, won't be an anthology but a well stitched together narrative instead. Releases on: TBD Watch the trailer here (9) The Dead Don't Die © Focus Features To add some light humour to an intense horrific year, we have another comical (of sorts) Zombie movie, with an awesome cast. The movie is obviously about a small-town police department battle some zombies. Of course, it's like any other Zombie movie but the cast surely makes this better. With Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Rozie Perez and Iggy Pop, this movie looks damn promising. Releases on: July 12 Watch the trailer here (10) Crawl © Paramount Pictres A young woman who tries to save her father from a category 5 hurricane is trapped in her own basement, with a huge Alligator floating about, trying to kill her. This one's a new-age version of 'Jaws' and 'Lake Placid' all mixed into one and yes, it does look scary. Releases on: August 23 Watch the trailer here So, there you have it. Ten awesome horrors releasing this year. I am not sure how many will release in the hall here, but if and when they do, catch them to keep your love for the horror genre alive!

OnePlus 7 & OnePlus 7 Pro Get ready for the OnePlus 7 Series Get notified here - https://t.co/CMhGizTidZ pic.twitter.com/KQXRxfH4jd — OnePlus India (@OnePlus_IN) April 23, 2019 Alright, we pretty much know what to expect from OnePlus on the 14th of this month. We'll be seeing the new OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. That's, of course, unless the company has some surprise for us. The OnePlus 7 Series, in case you haven't heard, will have two phones - The OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. While the regular OnePlus 7 is expected to look more or less similar to the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7 Pro is said to bring some major changes, at least in terms of the design. No doubt the phones will offer great value for the money, but we hope the cameras are improved. We're really hoping the cameras, at least on the OnePlus 7 Pro, will bring something new to the table. 2. Nokia 9 Pureview © YouTube HMD Global is going to debut the Nokia 9 with Penta-camera setup in India this month. This is one phone, which we're very excited mainly because of its cameras. It's an exciting time for smartphone camera enthusiasts, and we're hoping Nokia 9 to pull some major strings with its optics. Even if you ignore the Penta-camera setup, the Nokia 9 still looks like a great phone overall. It's powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, sports a 5.99-inch P-OLED panel with support for HDR, and it looks beautiful with an all-glass design. Well, let's hope Nokia will get the pricing right in India. 3. Realme Phone (Unknown) © TENAA Realme just launched the new Realme 3 Pro in India, and it looks like it's already gearing to launch another device. This time, however, it looks like we'll be seeing a flagship phone. That's right, an unknown Realme phone running on Snapdragon 855 chipset has been leaked online. We still don't know much about this phone, but it appears as though the phone will also debut in China, as the company has just announced its expansion in the country. Of course, there's no way to tell if the phone will debut in India, but we really hope it does as it'll be interesting to see how it does against the likes of the upcoming Poco F2 and more. 4. Nubia Red Magic 3 © Nubia Yes, Nubia's insane gaming phone with an in-built cooling fan is coming to India this month. We don't know about the pricing, but the Nubia Red Magic 3 is expected to make waves in the market since it'll be one of the fastest phones at launch right alongside the OnePlus 7 series. In case you're wondering, the Nubia Red Magic 3 is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor, packs up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also has a 48MP camera at the back and there are shoulder buttons for an immersive gaming experience. If Nubia manages to get the pricing right, it has a real shot of tapping into the gaming phone market in India.

With big names being a part of the web series, the similarity quotient has come in to play and people have got interest in watching original content which is just a click away. Many celebs are now trying to explore the web space and are not shying away from experimenting. Now, we have Akshay Kumar who is at the top of his game and he too is entering into the web arena. The revolution has begun as somebody of the stature of 'Khiladi' Kumar finally signed a deal with Abundantia Entertainment for a mutli-seasoned series, 'The End'. For all Akshay Kumar fans, it's sort of a win-win situation as they will get to see him on the big screen and on their laptop screens too. When Akshay announced that he will be part of 'The End', fans went crazy. MensXP got in touch with the producer of Akshay Kumar's upcoming web series 'The End', Vikram Malhotra, to know more details about this collaboration. © Abundantia Entertainment Akshay and Vikram have, in the past, collaborated on films like 'Airlift', 'Baby', 'Toilet – Ek Prem Katha', 'Special 26', and 'OMG - Oh My God'. We asked Vikram how is it different when it comes to web series. On this, Vikram told us, "Akshay and I have enjoyed a tremendous relationship built on mutual respect and alignment of creative and production sensibility and most importantly, it's the fundamental desire of story telling which is always attempting to break the mould or be a breaker of the genres that are conventional that we are part of. Having been a part of diverse films in a span of a year, so this was the time to take things to the next level. Working with him, I have learnt that what appeals him about stories and story telling is that he would always want to do something new and push the bar each time that he comes out for work. Therefore, the plan of doing an original series came to existence which in turn was genesis of 'The End'." Digging into more details, we told him that one of the reports claim that the show will have three seasons. Wondering if it's true or not, we asked him to clarify these reports. He said, "I will confirm to you that it's a multi-seasoned show and number of seasons can only be confirmed after we see how the story is progressing." Feeding to our curiosity, he said, "It's in the action adventure thriller space. It's a uniquely Indian story with human emotions and will surely connect with the audience across the country." Interestingly, Vikram's last venture 'Breathe' on Amazon Prime did pretty well. Cinema buffs appreciated the show for its originality and power-packed performances. Further into the conversation, we asked him that how does he see the change of A-Listers like Akshay venturing into the web space and giving it a broader outlook. "For us and foremost, it's about which actor fits the role which we have envisaged. If that actor happens to be from film world and therefore demands recognition, attention and love from their wider audience, it becomes a win win situation for all. I will tell you why it makes sense. OTT platforms are relatively new in India despite all the clutter and craze around them. For the lower strata of people to consume the content on these platforms, it's important for them to see a familiar face so that they get a reassurance about the value for their time and money they spent on the platform. As far as my shows are concerned, I am proud to say that no one could have pulled up the role of Danny Mascarenhas and Kabir Sawant better than R Madhavan and Amit Sadh respectively. Similarly, we see Abhishek Bachchan not only as a star moving to the OTT world making his digital debut but somebody who will elevate the role that he has in 'Breathe 2' significantly. When it comes to reigning superstar like Akshay Kumar, it is truly the gripping point because now you have someone who has millions of fans across the globe and he will be available in an original web series. I am checking at my end and I am sure that nowhere in the world you see a current reigning star for an original series as a lead," said Vikram. Considering Akshay always has a line-up of movies and now a full-fledged web series, wondering how has he been able to manage it at all? Well, if you have known Akshay, you would know that his discipline sets him apart from the rest of the industry and he puts in his 100% to the project that he gets into. Well, Vikram also thinks the same and told us, "If it comes to taking a toll and requiring to do hard work or being committed and disciplined, there's no better example than this man in our industry. Akshay's dedication, commitment and ability to push harder are the clear factors with which he becomes an obvious choice for the original web series, especially when the commitment is multi-seasoned. Not only he is doing three to four films a year but they are mostly high quality and highly conceptual which are not only doing well in terms of the creative appreciation but also at the box office. He is successfully managing it." After talking about Akshay and the whole revolution bit, our conversation panned into discussing some technicalities about the OTT platforms. How different are these platforms from each other, considering all the parameters -- recovery of the money spent, audience reach and the budget? Explaining us the concept behind it, he told us, "To begin with, they are completely different ecosystems and they are different not only because they are consumed differently but they are created differently. The technology that enables production, distribution and consumption is completely different. Secondly, how do you recover money is different as well because they are commissioned shows we are talking about. The audience reach is ever expanding and these are the future mediums and the control of what the viewer watches is entirely in the hands of the viewer. It's smaller than the conventional medium but if you are following the growth, you would know that an explosion is waiting to happen and it soon will become the primary medium of entertainment. Talking about budget, you can't put a generic number on it as it totally depends on many factors." With this, we were almost on the end of our conversation. We have seen Vikram's production house Abundantia creating a mark in both film space as well as online space. Taking the massive reach of 'Breathe', we asked him about the growth of Abundantia in the digital space. "Based on the building blocks that Abundantia was created on, we pay a lot of attention to what our audiences want and we take immense pride in collaborating with progressive storytellers who put lot of efforts and focus in creating content that connects with the audience. Abundantia realized this medium as the future of our industry as early as possible in 2015 when none of these big streaming platforms were available in the Indian market. We are building a separate unit that only focuses on the digital aspect. We have 'Breathe 2' coming up, 'The End' is in the production and many other shows are underway," answered Malhotra. © Abundantia Entertainment Before we finally ended the conversation, we asked him something that will be surely of your use. Yes, we asked him when the second season of 'Breathe 2' will be aired. "We have one last lap left for Breathe 2 and according to my sense, it should be out by next year," shared Vikram and signed off with a promise that he will keep us posted about the shows. Are you excited for 'The End' and 'Breathe 2'?

  9. A processor is a smartphone's heart and soul, and without it, a smartphone is left crippled. Apple's A-series processors are considered to be the best of the lot and it's all thanks to TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). The company has been Apple's only supplier of processors and the A12 Bionic chip is considered to be the most powerful chipset out there. © TSMC Not many processors have managed to deliver a performance similar to the A12. Huawei's Kirin 780 has managed to come close and Qualcomm has closed the gap with its new 7nm processors. However, none of them has actually managed to beat the A12 in terms of performance and reliability. TSMC has now announced a 5nm process technology that we will see soon on Apple devices. The new 5nm process has even more improved speeds and this is what the company had to say, “Compared with TSMC's 7nm process, its innovative scaling features deliver 1.8X logic density and 15% speed gain on an ARM Cortex-A72 core, along with superior SRAM and analog area reduction enabled by the process architecture.” Early numbers on an Arm Cortex-Are 72 core suggests that TSMC's new process will be able to deliver 1.8 times the density and 15 percent hike in clock speeds when compared to 7n. TSMC also says that the second generation of EUV will simplify the manufacturing process and “present excellent yield learning”. © Apple Now that the new process is ready, Apple can now move forward with producing a 5nm chipset that can power future iPhones and iPads. We could see it as early as 2020 which is not that far if we think about it. We won't be seeing the new processor on 2019 iPhones as these devices are expected to be powered with the 7nm+ process. © Qualcomm For Android devices, Qualcomm has managed to bring the 7nm process to its chipsets but has not been able to replicate the same performance as the A12. Now that the 5nm process is made available, we could see new Snapdragon chips debut shortly after Apple's new processor. TSMC is now considered the leader in chip manufacturing and dethroned the once market leader, Intel. Companies are gradually losing faith in Intel as TSMC's new process are now the preferred process.
  10. Do you remember the inaugural match of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the one which was initiated by none other than Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008? And in the first match itself, we got to witness some scintillating fireworks by Brendon McCullum when he scored an unbeaten 158. Astonishingly, whenever KKR and RCB have been pitted against each other, something or the other has happened that has intensified the rivalry between these two giants. From Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli's verbal spat in 2013 to RCB being bundled out for 49 in 2017. Other than this, Chris Gayle's dominance to Sunil Narine and Chris Lynn's 100 + partnership in the power-play, there are several instances that come to mind. With the teams locking horns for the first time in IPL 2019, we hope we get to see another epic encounter like this. © Instagram Talking of KKR first, winning two out of the three games in the tournament so far, the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team will be playing after a long gap of five days. Hoping they are over with their loss in the super over to Delhi Capitals, it will be exciting to see how they keep up the motivation at M Chinnaswamy, Bangalore – a venue that has been a happy hunting ground for the franchise. Being in a good form off lately, Dinesh Karthik and men would be looking to stabilise their upper order so that there is someone to accompany the Caribbean Andre Russell in the finishing overs. © AP RCB, on the other hand, are still trying to find the winning combination in this edition of the IPL. Having played four games and lost all of them, skipper Virat Kohli would be eager to lead from the front and make it count against arch-rivals KKR. A consistent cause of worry for the men in red has been their bowling attack. While Yuzvendra Chahal has eight wickets in four outings and is the current Purple Cap holder, the rest of the RCB bowlers have half the number of Chahal's wickets in as many games. Mohammed Siraj's tally of four wickets is followed by Umesh Yadav's two. Another big concern for RCB will be their sloppy fielding in the game time and again. They have dropped catches and missed opportunities that could have changed the whole scenario of the game. While the team is desperate to get two points on the board, it is important that they do the basics right and pay attention to each department. With this, let's hope King Kohli is able to get a point on the board and end his winless drought.
  11. With the game of cricket getting modernised every year, the supreme body of cricket, the International Cricket Council (ICC), seems to be on their toes to keep up with the demands of the day and age. After a long while, ICC came up with a new set of rules ahead of the upcoming Test season and the maiden Test Championship, on Monday. In further changes ahead of the World Test Championship, the tradition of the coin toss will be replaced by a @Twitter poll, allowing fans at home to decide who bats and bowls! pic.twitter.com/7wOuB8psZJ — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 ICC seems to have gotten too comfortable with their audience that they gave most of their decision making power in the hands of the fans. Inspired by the game of tennis, ICC introduced new terminologies for 'No-balls' and 'Dot balls' to be called 'Faults' and 'Aces'. Two minor changes will be made to cricket terminology with no balls and dot balls to henceforth be known as 'Faults' and 'Aces'. pic.twitter.com/3gFdhO4c59 — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 Another change has been in the scoring, as the runs scored in day/night test matches will be counted as double, creating a new level of excitement for the fans. Runs scored in the evening session of day/night Tests will count double, creating a new and exciting strategic element ðâ2ï¸â£ pic.twitter.com/Hqzzwe8sbY — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 Can you take two wickets in one ball? Well, that will be permitted from now on, as ICC has allowed the bowling team to make a run out happen after catching out a batsman, giving birth to the rule of “Double Wicket Play.” After taking a catch, the fielding team will be permitted to complete a 'Double Wicket Play' by running out the other batsman â pic.twitter.com/1XN6rAT9lD — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 Promoting social media is also high on ICC's priority list, for which they have asked all the teams to write player's Instagram handles on the back of their jerseys. As part of our efforts to make the game more appealing to younger generations, the ICC will be applying both numbers and Instagram handles to kits from the beginning of the World Test Championship. pic.twitter.com/XnvantQfc9 — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 Other than these rules, here are some other which would interest every cricket enthusiast around the world: Should the temperature reach 35°C, the ICC's updated playing conditions will allow all Test players the option to wear shorts âð¡ pic.twitter.com/TEFHahhPkL — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 In a move to bring fans even closer to the sport, broadcasters will have the option to position commentators on the field of play behind the slips cordon ð pic.twitter.com/l8FMdFcCZ9 — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 And finally, should teams be level on the World Test Championship table, the first tie-breaking criteria will be 'Away Runs.' So which of these initiatives are you most looking forward to? ð¤#CricketNotAsYouKnowIt pic.twitter.com/HHxUvxdv7k — ICC (@ICC) April 1, 2019 While it is pleasantly surprising for ICC to take a radical approach towards cricketing rules, we can't help but wonder about their intent on April Fools Day today. 12. If 2018 was all about notches, then 2019 seems like the year when all manufacturers are trying their best to get rid of it. The best full-screen display implementation I've seen so far has got to be Vivo's Apex 2019 smartphone. It doesn't have a front-facing camera though, so I'll let it slide. There's, however, a new smartphone on the block from Oppo, and I've got to say, it has the most unusual-looking notch that I've ever seen on a smartphone till date. Here, see for yourself: © Slashleaks It's not a standard-looking pop-up camera module which we've seen previously with phones like the Vivo V15 Pro. Instead, the Reno's camera appears to come out a triangular-module that pops out. I know, it looks a little weird at first, but honestly, I kinda dig it. It looks like a shark's fin, no? Am I the only one who thinks that? Look, I am not really a huge fan of the Oppo Find X's sliding mechanism. There's too much to deal with, and I want to my smartphone to be a tool for me, instead of a precious commodity that I'll have to pamper while using it. The standard pop-up camera module also looks a little weird. The Reno's wedge-shaped peeking shooter, on the other hand, caught my attention. © Reno I saw it earlier this morning on Twitter, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't staring at it for a good minute. Slashleaks even posted a video showing this module in action. Check it out - Another reason why I like Reno's module is because it also houses the speaker and the front-facing flash. Yes, the module is big enough to fit in all of that and the result is a clean full-screen display. With all that being said, there's still a lot that we don't know about this particular phone. Oppo hasn't confirmed anything so far, so I'll reserve my judgement on the phone for when it's launched.
  13. They say if the story is rumoured to be beautiful, it should be narrated to the world. And that's what filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing for us. Bhansali recently announced that he'd be making a film on the life of renowned lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi and his love interest, poet Amrita Pritam. Since the movie is set in the 40's era, we assume the backdrop will be classic and ostentatious just as all his movies have been. © Pinterest But there's one more fact to look forward to. Bhansali may have closed down on the two people he deems fit to play the lovers and we're super excited to see this jodi back for another riveting romantic spree! Seemingly, Abhishek Bachan and Taapsee Pannu will be pairing up for this one and we can only imagine how malleable their chemistry will be in the film, which is purely based on love. The director has been meaning to start this project since a while now and although the news isn't official about the cast yet, we do know that both Abhishek and Taapsee have unofficially agreed to do the much-anticipated film. © Eros International The film is due to hit the floor sometime in October this year and it'll probably release only by 2020 but even so, the subject of the film is so beautiful, we can't wait for it to release. “Both Abhishek and Taapsee have loved the story and are looking forward to collaborating again. However, they are yet to sign on the dotted line. Once the formalities are locked, they will begin prep,” a popular publication reported. © Eros International Although many big stars were approached for this project, namely Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and even Irfan Khan who'd also said he'd love to play Sahir Ludhianvi's character because he relates to him and his work deeply, now the roles of Ludhianvi and Pritam will be played by Abhishek and Taapsee respectively. “Sahir saab was one of our most talented poet-lyricists, his verses are still inspiring. To bring them back through his love story will be beautiful but also a huge responsibility. It's a difficult film for the writer-director (Jasmeet Reen) too so I don't want to be in a hurry but give it the darza it deserves.” said Bhansali while talking to a popular publication. © Twitter While we're eagerly waiting for the film to throw some light on the beautiful equation Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam shared, Bhansali is all set to team up with Salman Khan after 20 years for 'Inshallah', starring Alia Bhatt and in all probability, it's going to be a 2020 Eid release. For now, we're super excited for Abhishek and Taapsee and we really hope more details emerge about their upcoming film together.
  14. Rajkummar Rao is undoubtedly one of the most talented and versatile actors in the current crop of Bollywood, and with each movie he is proving his mettle to the world. Last year the actor, who is now basking in the success of 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga', gave another blockbuster performance in Dinesh Vijan's 'Stree'. © Instagram Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi; 'Stree' was a great attempt at bringing the horror-comedy genre back in an unusual and unique way. After an unexpected, but well-deserved victory at the box-office, there were rumours that the movie will be turned into a trilogy series. While it's not confirmed whether it's a sequel or not, but reports suggest that Rajkummar and Dinesh Vijan are coming together once again for their second horror comedy, 'Rooh Afza'. The film was announced earlier, but the name was not known back then. © Maddock Films According to reports, the movie will revolve around a ghost, who always comes around the wedding season to capture newly-wed men. The film will also star 'Fukrey' actor Varun Sharma, and might go on floor later this year. View this post on Instagram This one's gonna Be one of a horrifying Comical ride!! A drink we loved in our childhood is now coming back on the big screen as a horror movie and to be honest, there's nothing sweet about it. But, to be honest, we're quite excited for this one.
  15. Ever since the glamorous Indian Premier League (IPL) came into existence, it has put numerous, extremely talented players on the map. These were the cricketers who didn't play international or first class cricket due to the lack of opportunities but were in no manner less deserving of making a great living out of the game they loved so passionately. The league has experienced a series of changes as the years have passed. Some of the older teams have become extinct while new franchises have replaced them in seamless transitions. Having said that, there exists a franchise which is not only one of the strongest pillars of the edifice IPL has now become but has also gone on to win the entire tournament thrice - the Mumbai Indians (MI). Sleepless nights? Nervous nail biting? Screaming at your screen? If you've experienced any or all of these symptoms you might have Cricket Fever, premieres 1st March. pic.twitter.com/Ujl1tq6Els — Netflix India (@NetflixIndia) February 5, 2019 The upcoming Netflix eight-episode docu-series titled 'Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians' gets into MI's journey through the 2018 season of IPL between the pre-season auction and the final of the year against the Delhi Daredevils (now, Delhi Capitals). Joe LaBracio, the Executive Vice President of Non-Fiction TV & Documentaries, Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE), the studio that produced the series, said: "Our love of India drew us to share the story of the second biggest sport in the world and make it an entertaining, engaging experience for non-cricket fans to also enjoy." What To Expect From The Series Being coached by one of the legends of the international cricket in Mahela Jayawardene for a competitive owner in Akash Ambani, a great story in terms of the locker room situation during the wins, losses and major injuries during the season, and behind-the-scenes footage can be expected from the docuseries. The series also promises to dive deep into the history of some of the most celebrated MI players. The inception of Rohit Sharma's ability to captain, Krunal and Hardik Pandya's struggles growing up in Surat and Jasprit Bumrah's story to becoming one of the top pacers in the world, CNE plans to cover every minor aspect of the MIPaltan's members in great detail. Watching the emotional journey of the three-time champions and its players, staff and owners that goes beyond the cricket field would most definitely be an unprecedented experience with the first of its kind Indian sports docu-series. 'Cricket Fever: Mumbai Indians' will launch on Netflix worldwide on 1st March 2019.
  16. Apple's AirPods have been due for a refresh for quite some time and we've been hearing about a launch every now and then. Last year, we expected Apple to announce the second-generation earbuds alongside the iPhones, but it didn't materialise. AirPods have been extremely successful since its launch and are still among the most preferred. With 2019 setting in, we're hearing even more about the upcoming AirPods 2. Thanks to MySmartPrice (https://www.mysmartprice.com/gear/apple-airpods2/), we know the AirPods 2 will look similar to the previous generation, but pack a set of new features. Improvements will include improved bass and a grippier, non-slip coating, and new sensors. © Apple Previous reports have pointed out that Apple is very serious about health and shall include a host of new sensors like heart rate scanner and enhanced fitness trackers. The wireless earbuds shall also feature water resistance, better battery life, and improved audio quality. The AirPods 2 shall come in two colours -- black and white. The price is expected to be around US$ 200 (Rs 14,100), instead of the current US$ 159 (Rs 11,250). © Reuters Secondly, the same report also sheds light on Apple's AirPower mat. The wireless charging mat was first announced in 2017, alongside the iPhone X. But we haven't heard anything official about it since then and the company still seems to be finding a way to mass produce it. However, since the product was first teased, AirPower seems to have undergone some adaptations. The production-ready mat is said to be "slightly thicker than originally expected" due to a multi-wireless charging coil configuration. Earlier reports have indicated that the product wasn't ready since it produced an exceptional amount of heat, thanks to multiple coils. The AirPower itself may come with some 'exclusive features' but those will come to play only with iOS 13. © Apple The AirPods 2 is expected to launch in the first half of this year, while the AirPower mat is expected to come by the end of 2019. We expect the company to announce the two together during a press conference in the coming months.
  17. If there's one good thing that's happening in Bollywood, it's definitely sports biopics that are taking over storytelling and disclosing real facts about sportsmen and women to the world. Last year we had 'Gold' and 'Soorma' taking over the league and this year alone, many others are lined up. © Instagram The biopic about Saina Nehwal will be out soon this year, and we're super excited about it. A biopic based on the ace Indian shuttler's incredible career is being made and as we all know, Shraddha Kapoor will be playing her character. The film went on floors in September last year and it's going to be titled 'Saina', under the direction of Amole Gupte. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and is said release either by this year or next. © Twitter All we know right now is that Saina is really looking forward to watching the film and she's absolutely rooting for Shraddha as she's done a good job in it, according to her. "I am looking forward to the film. The script is lovely. As far as I have seen Shraddha preparing for it, she has done really well. I am waiting for it. It is taking some time to complete. But I am sure it is turning out well," Saina told a popular news agency. © Twitter The badminton player also said that sports-based movies motivate a lot of people as they're purely based on hardship and determination. “All the sports star have wonderful stories behind them. The struggles and hardships, they have gone through are very different from each other. So, a film on any sports star will make a good plot. If there is a biopic on a sportsperson, I am the first one to go and watch it because it motivates me a lot. I am sure people would like to know my story as well,” said Saina. © Twitter We believe there should be a few sports biopic releasing every year to churn out good content and motivate those who need that kind of step-up in life. We always bring on the sports frenzy when there's a World Cup happening, but it's time to make it a year-round activity and there's nothing better than watching a few inspirational biopics made on our very talented and hard working sports personalities and truly get back in the game!
  18. Tennis, as a sport, has seen many legends ruling the charts over the years. And, in the modern age, the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have undoubtedly emerged as a cut above the rest. But, as all good things come to an end, the trio of these superstars, too, have faced hardships in recent times. From injury concerns to slump in form, the likes of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic are still the players to beat. But, it's safe to say, they are no longer 'the invincibles' they once were. The ongoing Australian Open has once again sparked the great debate whether ageing Federer can still continue to prove his mettle following his Round of 16 loss to a 20-year-old. It also turned our focus on the next generation superstars who can very well go on to replace the old guard in the sport. Here's a look at four upcoming talents who can enthrall tennis fans as new-age superstars: Stefanos Tsitsipas © AP Back in 2001, when a young Federer defeated Sampras in Wimbledon, it was termed as the change of guard. And now, another change of guard is in the offing as the young Stefanos Tsitsipas stunned Federer in the fourth round of the Australian Open 4th yesterday. The Greek had become the talk of the town after he defeated four players amongst the Top 10 in Rogers Cup last summer. He began his charge by beating No. 8 Dominic Thiem in the second round. Then, it was No. 10 Novak Djokovic, No. 3 Alexander Zverev and sixth seed Kevin Anderson who all ran into a resilient Tsitsipas. His commendable run finally came to an end in the summit clash where he was defeated by king of clay Rafael Nadal. But, despite his defeat, the youngster undoubtedly made a mark with a fine showing. Now, in the Australian Open, the 21-year-old is looking to repeat his heroics as he reached the Quarter-finals. His triumph over the 'Swiss ace' highlighted his capabilities on the court. And, for the sake of tennis, let's hope he continues to perform with same enthusiasm in times ahead and keeps surprising us with his talent. Frances Tiafoe © AP Frances Tiafoe, definitely the most unpredictable entry to the list, sent shockwaves across the tennis fraternity after he got the better of proven stars such as Juan Martin Del Potro and Alexander Zverev in recent past. Recently turned 21, Tiafoe, continued his fine form in the Australian Open as he recorded a stunning win over fifth seed Kevin Anderson in the first round, earning the ticket to the Quarter-finals on his 21st birthday by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in the 4th round. Recent burst of the young American with an arsenal of screaming forehands and blistering serves, surely puts him into consideration for the next big thing in tennis. Denis Shapovalov © AP A possible Next Gen star, Denis Shapovalov has enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2017. From making his mark at the age of 16, by winning biggest prestige in tennis, The Wimbledon (Junior's), to later defeating stars like Rafael Nadal and Del Potro, the 19-year-old lad has achieved a hell lot at his age. His win over Nadal came in Rogers Cup in front of his home crowd, where he became the youngest player to reach a Masters semi-final; later delighting the New York crowd when he reached The US Open fourth round. The tennis pundits even declared him the third favourite to win at the Flushing Meadows after he entered the last 16. Despite having a bad form over the past 6 months, he still has achieved a lot at his age and is expected to be in the big four of the Next Gen. Alexander Zverev © AP Alexander Zverev had a dream end to the year 2018, defeating Novak Djokovic to win his first World Tour Finals. Being World No. 4 at the age of 21 is surely not a fluke, rather it's pure determination and hard work which has brought him to this point this soon. Winning 10 ATP titles and reaching a career-high ranking of World No. 3, he has surely been after the big four ever since he entered the tour. Despite being the newbie, he has been singled out by many players and commentators, as one of the apparent heirs to the Big 4 and a future World No. 1. Although he has proven his mettle a lot of times, the department he still lacks in is performing in Grand Slams. Being the World No. 4, his highest achievement in Grand Slams is being the Quarter-final finish at the Roland Garros in 2018. Even this time in Australian Open, he lost to Milos Raonic in the 4th round itself. Keeping all that aside, Zverev has been a hard-hitting baseline player and is equally good at the net as well. 19. Following their historic outing in Australia, the Indian cricket team is all set to embark on a new challenge before they head to England for the all-important ICC World Cup. The Virat Kohli brigade will now travel to New Zealand where they'll lock horns with the Kiwis in a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series. And, as the Indian team gears up for their first clash, Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has given a glimpse of how he is preparing for the upcoming tour. Taking to Instagram, the Delhi cricketer shared a video of himself sweating it out in the gym. The left-hander was seen pulling off dead-lifts and back row during a training session. While 'Gabbar' was making the most of the team's training session, his teammates Kedar Jadhav and Yuzvendra Chahal were seen mocking the opening batsman with their dance moves in the background. His batting prowess was in full display during the three-match T20I series where he was also adjudged the 'Man of the Series'. However, the left-hander, despite getting some starts, couldn't replicate his success in the ODI series. Exercising with such power and intensity, Dhawan seems to have set his sight on tearing the Kiwis bowling line-up apart when Team India takes on New Zealand in the 1st ODI at the McLean Park on 23rd January.

  21. In what turned out to be a sensational start to their campaign, the Indian football team sent their fans into delirium after kickstarting the 2019 Asian Cup with an emphatic 4-1 win over Thailand on 6th January. Despite a noticeable difference in their rankings, Thailand was expected to pose a threat to the 'Blue Tigers'. But, riding on the back of an all-round display, the Sunil Chhetri brigade produced one of their first win in the competition since 1964. "We've finally got respect for Indian football, we've woken the sleeping giant. It was dead and buried four years ago," an elated Stephen Constantine, Indian football coach, said after the game. If their win against Thailand left the fans back home wanting for more, the fact that Indian captain, who scored a brace in the opening match, surpassed Lionel Messi to become the second-most prolific scorer in a national football team, further gave us a reason to celebrate some more. For a man who has netted 67 goals for India since his first national cap in 2005, Chhetri's legend continues to grow as he goes past opposition defenders, finding those tiny gaps in their defence before unleashing that killer strike past the goalkeeper. His leadership skills and consistency in front of goal is what has made one of India's most cherished sportsperson. But, his stardom isn't just restricted to India. ðð®ð³âï¸ Cool as you like from @chetrisunil11âï¸ð®ð³ððpic.twitter.com/FaPfb6eMlB — #AsianCup2019 (@afcasiancup) January 7, 2019 As it turns out, the Indian football captain is respected and loved by football fans outside India as he is in his home country. Ahead of India's crucial encounter against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 10th January, a viral video has once again brought Chhetri's popularity in a foreign land to the fore. The video shows the Indian skipper obliging a UAE fan for a brief Q&A following their triumph in the Asian Cup opener. Labelling him as the "best player in India", the female fan asked Chhetri about his career before putting him in a spot by asking him "who's going to win between Emirates and India?". Being a sport, Chhetri cunningly turned the tables by asking the fan to predict the winner instead. Nice to finally meet you @chetrisunil11 and good luck ð®ð³ðð»pic.twitter.com/jS3a8ZnHAq — Ø´ÙخةÙÙرةð¦ðª (@shaikha_kooraa) January 8, 2019 Finding herself in a bit of a dilemma, the fan, too, played safe before predicting a 1-1 draw to suffice both the team. Saving the best for the last, the female fan decided to dedicate a song for Chhetri ahead of their second game in the competition. To everyone's surprise, the UAE fan ended up singing 'Saare Jahan Se Achha' before Chhetri joined her in some of the verses. The video has elated Indian and UAE fans alike, once again, highlighting that our love for football knows no boundaries. While Chhetri was considerate of the fan in the video, he will not be so welcoming of the opposing side when his team locks horns with UAE in their second Asian Cup game later today. Following their opening win against Thailand, Chhetri's men will face a much sterner test against UAE who are currently ranked 18 places higher than India in the FIFA chart. © Twitter/@IndianFootball When it comes to the head-to-head battle, UAE, again, holds a clear edge over India. In the 11 games they've played so far, UAE have claimed eight wins, while India have only two to show for themselves as one game ended in a draw. On the other hand, India can also take some inspiration from 113th-ranked Bahrain who managed to hold the hosts UAE to a 1-1 in their opening match. Though it's a tad too early to predict, if India manages to get the better of UAE, it will be their first back-to-back wins in the Asian Cup history - something that will surely get their fans back home in a celebratory mood.
  22. It would not be wrong to say that the saviors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have done an incredible amount of work in the year 2018, thus adding a significant number of new age fans to a saga that has now turned a decade old. via GIPHY Films like 'Avengers: Infinity War', 'Ant-Man and the Wasp', 'Black Panther', and 'Deadpool 2' are responsible for grossing almost one-third of the total box office revenue worldwide this year. While these films have turned out to be highly commercial, they have also made the fans go crazy as phase 4, which is also the last phase of the MCU is going to mark its initiation in 2019. Information in bits and pieces is being given to the media so that the storylines could be avoided from getting leaked. Fans are expecting the bigger and larger than life version of their superheroes in the upcoming set of Marvel films. via GIPHY Though we don't really know the certainties of the future team Avengers, we may surely get a major hint in the 2019 release, 'Captain Marvel'. via GIPHY After digging a few sources and a lot of research, we have come up with a high-end scoop about the upcoming Marvel films (releasing in 2019). If you are a die-hard Marvel fan and missed something amidst so many films in production, this post is for you. Read ahead and know about what's coming up from Marvel Cinematic Universe in the near future. Let us tell you that there is going to be the latest, more evolved versions of the old superhero characters that will be associated with these films: Captain Marvel With 'Captain Marvel', Academy Award winner Brie Larson is getting ready for the release of the most awaited female superhero film of 2019. via GIPHY By playing the lead in the film, which is also the alter ego of cosmic hero Carol Danvers, Brie Larson is making her debut for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film's powerful trailer which was released in September has already exceeded our expectations. Let us tell you that Captain Marvel has remained an accomplice to the Avengers, the glimpses of which would also be seen in the upcoming 'Avengers: Endgame'. The film also stars, Quentin Tarantino's favorite Samuel L. Jackson, actors Annette Bening, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, and Clark Gregg. Not to be forgotten, 'Enemy at the Gates' star Jude Law is also in the film. via GIPHY The film is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. From the trailer, one can easily figure out that the film is set in the 90s and Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) is dealing with amnesia. via GIPHY The protagonist finds it difficult to recall her past and leaves the viewers stunned, amidst an unpredictable dialogue, “I am not what you think I am”. While, Nick Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) background monologue explains much about the film's theme, which definitely includes aliens, one looks forward to the film, especially when Captain Marvel is a female at the center of the narrative. We are getting 'Wonder Woman' vibes though! Avengers: Endgame While 'Avengers: Infinity War' was believed to be the biggest Marvel film ever, the audience gave a mixed reaction to the film. Let us tell you that the biggest Marvel film is yet to come and is already in the making. via GIPHY 'Avengers: Endgame' will conclude the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film will be a follow up to 'Avengers: Infinity War' and is also considered to be closely linked. The film will also be giving the final touch to many plots. via GIPHY The team of 'Avengers 4' is working day and night to take the Avengers game to the next level which also means that one would get to see the best from the MCU through this film. via GIPHY The flick will be releasing on May 3, 2019. The principal cinematography for the film started in 2017. The makers of the movie had earlier named it 'Avengers: Infinity War Part II', however, it was later discarded. 'Endgame' is being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Spider-Man: Far From Home Though Spider-Man has always remained one of the favorite characters for Marvel fans, the superhero's popularity might see a major rise due to his inclusion in the upcoming Avengers films. via GIPHY It would not be wrong to say that Spider-Man is here to stay and entertain us for a good number of years. For now, Marvel and Sony have teamed up for a sequel to 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' which is temporarily being called 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' (as per Tom Holland's Instagram post). via GIPHY Let us tell you that the film has been scheduled for the release on July 5, 2019. This would also mark the initiation of phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Tom Holland who was also seen in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' would play the protagonist in the sequel, it has been reported that Jake Gyllenhaal might play the villain. via GIPHY However, we are just not sure as to how Peter Parker would make his return after the end of 'Avengers: Infinity War'. The direction of the film will be handled by Jon Watts who also directed 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'. Dark Phoenix In September this year, 20th Century Fox released the trailer of another 'X-Men' film and named it 'Dark Phoenix'. If we talk about the 2016 film 'X-Men: Apocalypse', it was the young Jean Grey who saved Professor X (James McAvoy) from getting killed at the hands of the Apocalypse, ultimately discovering her superpowers. via GIPHY 'Dark Phoenix' will feature Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) as the protagonist and will be a mix of her present and past lives. Though 'Dark Phoenix' is believed to be a forceful attempt to bring twists and turns into the already saturated series, the film seems to be losing its charm even before its release. Reason – The two major characters of the entire 'X-Men' franchise i.e. Logan and Professor X have already died in the 2017 film 'Logan'. 'Dark Phoenix' may only mix things up, as fans have already seen how Jean Grey died years back. via GIPHY Other than Sophie Turner, actors including Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult would also be seen, maybe for the very last time if this film has to be the end of the 'X-Men' franchise. 'Dark Phoenix' is directed by Simon Kinberg and will hit the theatres in June 2019. The New Mutants The 'New Mutants' is one film Marvel and 'X-Men' fans are eagerly looking forward to. As the title suggests, the film explores the horror-superhero genre and displays the story of teenage mutants getting a grip of their superpowers, while being captive at a secret facility. via GIPHY The film-makers have finalized a stunning cast for the film including actors Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Alice Braga, Charlie Heaton, and Henry Zaga. Earlier, the film was scheduled for April 2018, however, it has now been pushed to August 2, 2019. As per a few reports, certain scenes of the film are now being reshot to add the pinch of horror to it. In fact, major parts of the film are being shot again taking in view of the horror angle. The rating of the film has not been decided yet. 'The New Mutants' is being directed by Josh Boone. via GIPHY It will be interesting to see these teenage mutants getting to understand their powers. Remember, how it happened for the first time with the likes of Logan, Scott, Storm, and Mystique? via GIPHY Got any interesting scoop about these films? Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the upcoming Marvel films!
