After a series of flops and mediocre successes, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri changed the course of his career with the 2017 film The Tashkent Files that turned out to be a sleeper hit. And with his latest release, The Kashmir Files, the filmmaker delivered not just the biggest blockbuster of his career but one of the biggest hits in the Hindi film industry as well. Last year, Avengers: Endgame fame Russo Brothers had announced a multi-series titled Citadel. It was also announced that besides being made in Hollywood, the series will also be made in different countries and the responsibility of helming its India-leg was given to Raj & DK of The Family Man and Go Goa Gone fame. Explaining the kind of multi-series that Russo Brothers are making in collaboration with Amazon, DK had explained to Variety, “Every country’s series is its own series with multiple seasons, but there’s going to be crossovers and cross-references.” Raj had added, “It’s an action thriller drama, about super agents across the world.” © Instagram/;Varun Dhawan While the US version of Citadel stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, we now have an update on the star cast of its Indian version. According to Pinkvilla, Citadel India will star Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role. This will be Samantha's second collaboration with director duo Raj & DK after The Family Man season 2. Sharing his experience, he said, “Imagine talking and reacting virtually! It was interesting and it took a day to figure out how to shoot and get the hang of it. I am happy that I was part of a web show, especially at a time where it was tough yet comforting. Everyone was paranoid about shooting and being without a mask, so the whole experience was learning. This series was interesting as a subject so I had no hesitation doing it. I am glad the reception for the show has been good. Ahead of the release of sci-fi drama The Tomorrow War starring Chris Pratt, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan got candid with the Hollywood star. Varun shared a video on Instagram in which he has been asking a bunch of questions. Dhawan, who has already watched The Tomorrow War, asked Pratt about the significance of the title, to which he explained saying: “Tomorrow as an idea is a coming era. The film is a big fun action-adventure that takes place in 2021 as well as in 2051. So, this war is being raged against the invading alien forces, though it takes place 30 years away. But if you look back at 1990, for me, that feels like yesterday. 30 years can be pretty quick, and the world can change. It really poses the question whether or not we should rely on science and innovations to save the world and create solutions for the things that are happening in the world today.” View this post on Instagram He continued, “I read a lot of scripts these days. I am in a very blessed position where people come and tell me, ‘hey, please get my movie made.’ But there are many similar themes: time travel, aliens, world-saving epic events with massive set pieces and creatures, but where do you find those that do evoke an emotional response based on real relationships. For me, that is the heart of any great story.” While Varun understood his take on the upcoming movie, he also wanted to know if he took any advice from his father-in-law Arnold Schwarzenegger. KRK is on a mission to get in trouble with as many noted names as possible and nothing is stopping him. He has been overtly dissing Bollywood and the celebrities recently and things just seem to happen randomly when it comes to KRK and his Twitter wars. What started it all was Salman Khan’s legal suit for the review of Radhe by KRK. He has been continuously poking the celebs and this time around, he wants a few actors to come on board to act in his film. Now, KRK has said that he will stop reviewing movies if Kartik Aaryan, Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Emraan Hashmi, Ajay Devgn, and Hrithik Roshan come together for his project. He tweeted, “I genuinely want to stop reviewing films. I will stop reviewing films on The day, I will launch my film as a producer or director. Currently, he is being sued for defamation by Salman Khan. For the uninitiated, Salman filed a defamation suit against KRK and the legal team has claimed it was because the self-proclaimed critic has been badmouthing about the actor. The full statement from DSK Legal, Salman Khan’s legal team, reads, “Mr. Kamaal R Khan, the Defendant, has put out a series of tweets and videos alleging that Mr. Salman Khan has sued him for defamation because the Defendant reviewed the film, Radhe. This is incorrect.” “The suit has been filed as the Defendant has been publishing and endorsing defamatory allegations, including that Mr. Salman Khan is corrupt, that he and his brand Being Human are involved in fraud, manipulation, and money laundering transactions, that he and Salman Khan Films are dacoits. Defendant has been spreading malicious falsehoods and defaming Mr. Salman Khan consistently over several months, clearly intending to draw attention to himself. Mr. Kamaal R Khan’s lawyer made a statement in Court today that Mr. Kamaal R. Khan “will not put any remarks of defamatory nature against plaintiff on social media till next date.” The Hon’ble Court has been pleased to pass an order taking into account this statement made by Mr. Kamaal R.
