Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan will be sharing the screen for the first time in 'Vikram Vedha'

Giving our weekend a big and masaledar kickstart is the recent news about two of Bollywood industry’s biggest stars coming together for the remake of a hit Tamil film - Vikram Vedha. We are talking about Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan coming together to star in the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil film. © Y Not Studios Having featured R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupath in the original, where Madhavan played the role of a cop and Sethupati helmed as the criminal mastermind, the story is going to be an action crime thriller. While the Tamil original came out in 2017, the remake is said to hit the screens next year in September with Hrithik and Saif in the titular roles. Which actor is going to take up which role is yet to be disclosed, but excited folks on Twitter are already getting a jump start at making their guesses as to who will be a better Vikram and Vedha. Hrithik Roshan was last seen in his 2019 film War alongside Tiger Shroff. Now, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan are all set to work together for their next film which is a Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha. The film originally starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles and it is being said that Hrithik will start shooting for the film in June this year. Film’s PlotThe film revolves around a cop named Vikram who is trying to find gangster Vedha and as Vedha voluntarily surrenders himself, he tells Vikram three stories that completely change his perception about what is good and what is bad. The Direction Of The FilmThe original film was directed by the duo Pushkar and Gayathri and they will be directing the Hindi remake as well. According to reports, currently, the film is in the pre-production stage and the team is looking forward to impending the shoot. Vikram Vedha Awards The original film received good reviews and was largely well-received by the audience. The film was nominated in seven categories at the 65th Filmfare Awards South, including those for Best Film (Sashikanth), Best Actor (Madhavan and Sethupathi), and Best Supporting Actress (Varalaxmi). It won in four categories – Best Director (Pushkar–Gayathri), Best Actor (Sethupathi), Best Male Playback Singer (Anirudh for "Yaanji") and Critics Award for Best Actor – South (Madhavan).
