  1. It's been long rumoured that Google is expected to launch cheaper versions of the Pixel 3 and the name of the new smartphone may have accidentally been revealed by the search engine giant. These smartphones have been referred to as Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite. However, there are new indications that these phones will be called Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. © 9t05Google The listing on the Google Play Store confirmed that the smaller Pixel 3a will have a 5.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. The larger XL variant is said to have a 6-inch display and have a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. In terms of RAM configuration, both smartphones are said to have 4GB of RAM. Other specs include Android 9 Pie, Snapdragon 670,12-megapixel rear camera, and 3,000 mAh battery. Earlier last week, 9to5Google noticed that Google accidentally made the page for the two rumoured phones live on the Google Store. This is indicative that the Pixel 3a may launch very soon as Google is gearing up for the impending launch. The two phones were bestowed the code name “sargo” and “bonito” respectively and both names were references in the first Android Q beta release. © Twitter Are excited about a cheaper Pixel smartphone? 2. WhatsApp, as we all know, has been fighting against misinformation on its platform in India. And now, the messaging service has launched a new tool with which the users can get a particular news verified. The feature is essentially a tipline, which is live as of today. Interested users can now send over messages to +919643000888, and get the rumors or a news verified. As soon as you send the message, you'll get a response asking if you want it to be verified. You can send '1' to get it verified, and you'll get a response (hopefully in sometime) informing you whether the information is true, false, misleading, disputed, or if it's presently unverifiable. © MensXP The tipline will accept text, pictures, links, and even videos in English and other regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, and Malayalam. The tipline, in case you are wondering, is operated by a New Delhi, India-based startup called Proto, in collaboration with Dig Deeper Media, and Meedan. Proto will apparently setup a database of rumors to study the spread of misinformation on the platform, especially during elections. Obviously, there's no way to tell if/ how well this works. We tried sending a text message, but haven't heard from them yet. Let's hope it gets better over time, and they work on their speed. At the end of the day, the longer it will take to get things verified, the less inclined people might be to check their facts.
  3. Salman Khan, or 'Bhai' as he is lovingly called in Bollwood, is not only known for his movies but for his extravagant habit of indulging in expensive assets. Here are 9 such assets owned by 'Bhai' which is making us fel very poor compared to him: 1. Gorai Beach home Mumbai beaches do not provide the Khan family with any exclusivity towards the beach so Salman 'bhai' has a legit gorgeous 5 BHK beach home which he bought on his 51st birthday. The insane property is spread across 100 acres and has a gym, a big swimming pool, a theatre, and the sea-facing bungalow also reportedly has a dirt bike arena for some more fun. As per reports, this cost him close to a Rs 100-crore hole in his pocket. © Instagram 2. Panvel Farmhouse This place is the resident party place for the family's parties for their friends. This place is spread lavishly over 150 acres of land and besides the usual gorgeous room, a gym, a swimming pool and all that jazz, this farm also house horses and other domesticated animals. Private Yacht Obviously, all the jet set getaways to Alibaug and travelling to their beach homes require a wonderful private yacht by the Khan family. Reportedly, Salman and his bhais have a yacht which cost him a whopping Rs 3 crore. © Instagram 5. 4. Unless you are living under a rock, you have to have an idea about who Michael Phelps is. Bringing about a revolution in the sport of swimming with more than a decade worth of non-stop dedication to his craft, multiple sessions of 2-3 hours of extreme exertion inside the pool and unbelievably strong self-discipline. Participating in four summer Olympics (2004-2016) during his time as a professional swimmer, the 33-year-old athlete has had two bronze medals, three silver medals and 23 gold medals placed around his neck. This astonishing feat of 28 medals in totality makes him the most successful Olympian in the history of mankind and the competition is not even close. It was, therefore, a moment of honour the sporting fraternity of India to host such a remarkable athlete who visited our land for the very first time. As a brand ambassador of Under Armour, a 23-year-old company that manufactures footwear, sports, and casual apparel, Phelps is here to inaugurate their very first commercial outlet that has opened up in DLF Promenade Mall in New Delhi. View this post on Instagram Level of excitement can't be contained just like the will of 1.3 billion Indians. Catch Michael Phelps at the official store launch of UnderArmour. #IndiaWill A post shared by Under Armour India (@underarmourind) on Mar 22, 2019 at 5:16am PDT During the press gathering of the inauguration, Phelps spoke about the kind of work ethic he used to follow when he was an active swimmer. “In the sport of swimming… if you miss one day, it takes you two days to get back. So, when I spent six years without missing a single day of training, I was getting so much more benefit than the other athletes,” said the 23-time Olympic gold medalist. “They (other swimmers) used to swim for six days. If you take an off on Sunday, you are not back by Tuesday and that's exactly where I was getting so much of extra benefit. Phelps also made it absolutely certain that he will not be returning to the pool after retiring from the game in 2016. “Now if I enter the pool, I don't have the same feel...” “I don't swim anymore. I have lost it,” he jokes. View this post on Instagram ðððððððð 10 years ago today i had the chance to share the pool with these guys once again. I couldn't have asked for better teammates to share this amazing moment with!! #aaronpeirsol @brendanhansen12 and @jason_lezak . I know as being a part of team USA how important the TEAM is! Thank you boys and I can't tell you how much of an honor it was!!! These guys and others helped me make history and do something that so many ppl thought was impossible! A post shared by Michael Phelps (@m_phelps00) on Aug 17, 2018 at 10:14pm PDT Another interesting question was raised by Under Armour CEO, Kevin Plank, who seemed to be equally fascinated by the swimmer as the rest of the reporters at the venue. Plank asked: “Do you love winning or hate losing?” Without hesitating for even a single second, Phelps reverted: “I hate losing. Yes, I do not like to lose. People ask me what goes on inside my mind when I am standing on the swimming block and I say 'nothing does', and that's how it should be. If a race is about to start, I am focused on winning it, and that's just it.” Phelps is the epitome of dedication and yet one of the most humble human beings to have graced the biggest stage of sports ever, and his regimen plays a huge role in building up such a character out of him.
  5. Imagine being able to fight in different cities of a country as vast and diversified as India. With professional boxing rings present in some of the most unique and people-friendly venues such as public parks and malls, the amount of instant recognition and fame mixed with the loud cheers by your fans, has to feel absolutely surreal. The main guys at Mega Boxing decided to act upon this unique idea and came up with a well established system of carrying out official boxing match-ups in the biggest cities of the country, giving the opportunity to all the aspiring pugilists from all corners to show what they are made of, throughout the year. Recognised by the World Boxing Organisation (WBO), World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council, Mega Boxing is the brainchild of founders Anirudh Pathak, Aditya Gulati and Anirban Roy, who envision the sport to be a lot bigger than it is in India. You saw a teaser last November, now it's time to experience the first episode of the biggest Indian boxing season! Details will be out soon. Raw action coming your way!https://t.co/FD0saZxacz@dlf_cyberhub @Everlast_ @EverlastIndia #boxingstream #BoxingNews #Boxing #thebiggame pic.twitter.com/dCbYohFzpV — Mega Boxing (@MegaBoxingIN) February 28, 2019 We, as an organisation, are a sucker for such innovative ideas and inspirational stories so we had to have a look-see into what was going on. This is how our interview with the Mega Boxing Co-founder, Anirudh Pathak went: How would you best describe Mega Boxing? What makes it unique? Mega boxing is India's first and only one day professional boxing IP. All other private boxing platforms in India are in a league format. Distinguishing us from others are the religious elimination round fights that we organise throughout the year, that enable us to scout the best performers in respective categories. Our venues are also not the same conventional arenas; rather we organise these fights in more public friendly places like shopping malls, IT Parks and more with the objective of ensuring that the sport resonates with a wider populous. We believe in not just promoting boxing as a sport but also as a major source of entertainment for the audience. This ideology is evident in all Mega Boxing shows that are a fusion of sports, energy, fashion and technology unlike the mainstream championships. What were the selection criteria for shortlisting these candidates? We at Mega boxing have fashioned a well-organized system to scout boxers across the India subcontinent. Scout level fights are organised across various towns and cities like Jaipur, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Gurgaon, which helps us in mapping the quality and selecting the best fighters in the circuit. The boxers from these locations are picked and asked to compete against multiple opponents in order to test their strength, talent, skills and grit. Our team carefully observes each performance, eventually selecting the best player to fight at a Mega Boxing fight night. World Boxing Organisation (WBO) has also been supportive in assisting us to look out for unique talent in the nation. Our aim is to make each player well trained by making them fight in at least 4-5 challenges before they enter the Mega boxing platform so that everybody knows what they are going to witness. What led you to take the initiative towards making boxing bigger in India? There is a huge amount of boxing talent in India that has the potential to make a mark in the international pro boxing circuit. The sport in itself deserves a much bigger audience and now needs to make a place amongst the masses. Boxing truly has the potential to engage people and churn our global heroes, along with being extremely high on the entertainment quotient. Our Indian boxers are doing exceptionally well in the amateur boxing segment but have no opportunities when it comes to professional bouts. With their immense talent and the potential to become champions and win belts, their only option to go pro is competing outside the country without the correct training and guidance. Since boxing is still primarily a rural sport, it is extremely difficult for these boxers to reach fights that can change their lives and in the limited cases when they do, they tend to lose due to the lack in training; ending the boxer's journey. Seeing the prevalence of this speed breaker, we sought to build a platform that would give our boxers a chance to fight with the correct opponents, test their grit, improve their skills, train and then reach the international circuit. Our aim is to complete the circle and build a road to Vegas for Indian boxers. How do you envision the 'fight nights' to be? Our fight nights are designed in such a manner that they would be like watching a movie. Each event would be high on thrill, music, fashion, drama, technology and lots of passion. What can we expect out of the fights at Cyber Hub? We have six very good fights planned for the event at Cyber Hub on 29th March 2019. The top card fight is between India's No 1 boxer in lightweight category – Rajesh Kumar Luka and an undefeated fighter from Tanzania- Adam Hatibu. We strongly believe that Luka is a good prospect to win the WBO Asia Lightweight title belt should he defeat Adam in the 10-round match that we have planned for them. Apart from this, all other fights would be equally exciting where we would see tough competition between young and experienced boxers, India's Rank 1 and Rank 2 women from the same weight category, previous winners against tougher competitors and interesting fights between boxers belonging to completely different backgrounds.
  6. As one of the original eight teams that were established for the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) first in 2008, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a lot of experience in the league but not the silverware to boast about through the years. While having made it to the IPL final in 2009, 2011 and 2016, RCB have never won the trophy. Ever since the beginning, the team has seen some brilliant players like Rahul Dravid, AB de Villiers, Kevin Pietersen and now Virat Kohli, lead the squad in red and gold but have failed to win the tournament even once, making it one of three original franchises to have never lifted the cup. Last year, in the franchise's eleventh season in the league, Virat Kohli's men consisted of an outstanding coaching staff. With former Kiwi skipper Daniel Vettori and Ashish Nehra as their bowling coaches and the World Cup winning coach for Team India, Gary Kirsten looking after the batting department, there was a lot of experience backing up RCB. The roster was loaded with big hitters like de Villiers, Brendon McCullum and King Kohli himself and a unique blend of spin and fast bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal and Australia's Nathan Coulter-Nile, who are wicket-hungry and in their prime shape. However, despite all the experience, skills and talent aboard, the Royal Challengers were not as good as they appeared on paper. Injuries, bad judgement calls and the lack of team chemistry on their part made Bangalore one of the worst teams of the league that did not even qualify for the playoffs and were at the third last position on IPL's points table, just two points above the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), which was the worst team of them all. After their season ended on a rather forgettable note, Kohli expressed his displeasure with the team's performance in a tweet: I really believe in the concept of, "you either win or you learn". We fought hard and gave it our all but one thing is for sure, next season we definitely will bounce back stronger than ever with our learnings from this season. Take care. @RCBTweets #RCB #IPL2018 pic.twitter.com/b0QM9chRAN — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) May 24, 2018 Kohli made a pledge to the RCB fans that they would look to make the necessary changes and try their best to be better this season and it looks like the management is dedicated to keeping that pledge. During the IPL auction ahead of the twelfth season of the league, RCB spent a total of Rs. 16.35 crores out of their purse of Rs. 18.15 crores on buying talents Shivam Dube (Rs 5cr), Shimron Hetmyer (Rs 4.2cr), Akshdeep Nath while retaining the core members of the team like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal. Squad: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme, Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klassen, Gurkeerat Singh, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Mandeep Singh
  7. “Streaming is going to change the future of gaming, and it'll kill the consoles” - I am sure you've heard a lot of phrases like this during the past few months. Honestly, I didn't give into the whole game-streaming hype until last night, when Google unveiled Stadia, its ambitious gaming platform. As much as I like my consoles, I really think Stadia has the potential to pose a serious threat to them. In case you haven't seen it till now, Stadia's website boldly claims that “the future of gaming is not a box.” In all fairness, I think Google's presentation last night at GDC was convincing enough to support this claim. I say that because the idea of streaming a game online makes a lot of sense to me. Instead of throwing in all your money to buy dedicated gaming hardware, you can simply sign up for Stadia and play it on the device of your choice. © YouTube This means you could literally be playing Red Dead Redemption 2 (great game), on your TV, or heck, even a smartphone. So in this case, the TV or the smartphone and a controller is all you need to play such a demanding title. No downloads, no installations, and no “box”, as Google likes to call it. Google's data centre would do all the heavy work, and the internet will take care of the rest for you. All that sounds impressive, but how much will Stadia cost? Well, Google didn't have a lot to say about the pricing, but I am sure the service is not going to be free. In fact, I think it's going to be more expensive than any kind of streaming service that you use currently. I mean, c'mon, we're talking about a service that's going to help you play even the most demanding titles without the expensive hardware. That being said, I still think it'll be less expensive than, say, a gaming console from the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Look, I don't know how the upcoming PS5 or the rumoured Xbox Two is going to cost. But considering the fact the current-gen consoles were around $400 - $500 at launch, I am assuming the next ones will be pricier. And that's just for the console, and there are a lot of expenses like the PSN subscription, Xbox Game pass, and more. © Google So if Google Stadia is priced right, which I think it will, we are looking at a serious competition here. And then there's the whole ecosystem to consider as well. Imagine a situation where you're, say, watching a streamer on YouTube gaming or Twitch. With Stadia, you'd literally be able to tap a button and start playing that exact game without having to do much work. It's exactly the kind of seamless experience that I've always wanted. Also, there's seamless accessibility, Google Assistant integration, co-op gameplay, Stadia's State Play features, etc. Look, I can keep going with all these features and make some educated guesses here. But being able to experience all the games on a smartphone or a tablet from the comfort of my couch is convincing enough for me. Of course, all of this is going to take time, but streaming, particularly, Google's streaming service, has the potential to upend gaming consoles. If not, I can at least say that it has the potential to become one of the preferred ways of playing games for a lot of people.
  8. It's Game Developer's Week and Google just stole the show with a game streaming service called 'Stadia' that challenges the current status quo of the gaming industry. The service will let users stream AAA demanding games to PC, Mobiles, Tablets, Chromecast and Laptops from the cloud and is expected to launch sometime in 2019. Having said that, the streaming service is not scheduled to launch in India anytime soon. There are many contributing factors such as low internet speeds and general infrastructure that is currently not up to the mark when compared to the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. If you want to know how Stadia works and what all it can do, you can read all about it here. © YouTube However, India is one of the fastest growing markets for internet services where the country is the second largest market for smartphones. India also has the cheapest internet plans across all service providers which has increased the number of internet users in India tenfold. For Google, this is potentially the biggest untapped market as mobile gaming in India has become the preferred choice of platform for Indian gamers. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla With the sudden success of PUBG Mobile, demand for gaming smartphones has increased ever since the phenomenon took over the country. It proves that India has a huge pool of gamers on smartphones that have made games like PUBG a huge success. Smartphone gaming is extremely important for Indian customers and Google's new service can potentially provide AAA gaming to an audience that can't afford to build their own PCs or buy new consoles. For many, it will be a first-time experience that will no longer be exclusive to the affluent or passionate gamer. Gaming Is Expensive In India © MensXP Gaming is an expensive affair in India and if you want to get a real feel of India's gaming scene, Akhil Arora from NDTV paints the true picture in his piece here. Games are generally sold in India for $60 ( a direct conversion) for an audience that does not earn in the same currency. The story gets worse for hardware because of India's harsh import duties and taxes on gaming consoles. As NDTV points out “A salaried middle-class Indian has to work 9-14 times more to afford a PS4.” It's a real problem here that can be resolved by Google's Stadia platform. Not only does the streaming service makes games accessible and cheaper, but it also lets users play games on devices they already own. For the first time in India's gaming industry history, AAA gaming can be mainstream and affordable thanks to services like Stadia. What Are The Barriers? © Youtube Let's face it, India does not have the required infrastructure to support game streaming at the moment, at least on a large scale. Even though ISPs now offer Gigabit connections, it's still not as widespread as it should be. Having said that, India is on the path of rapid Digital development with companies like Jio making fibernet accessible and affordable for the average Indian. Latency is the obvious issue here that needs to address which we can only know when Google Stadia launches. © Reuters Coming back to smartphone gaming, 5G is said to support smooth game streaming, however, we won't see 5G services launch in India before 2021. In fact, we don't even know how well game streaming will run as it has not been tested in the real world yet. Having said that, the future does look bright for Google Stadia in India, as the country's infrastructure is growing at a rapid pace and doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon. Sure, it may be a few years away but sooner or later, Google Stadia will change the game for an average Indian gamer. Are you interested in Google's Stadia platform? Would you like to play AAA games on your smartphone or tablet? Let us know in the comments what you think about Stadia.ee
  9. It's finally time to get our hands on the 'Pokemon Go'-style Harry Potter game. The game is about to launch soon and will be called 'Harry Potter: Wizards Unite', and is probably the most anticipated AR game ever since 'Pokemon Go'. © Niantic The developers behind the game have put 'Harry Potter: Wizards Unite' up for pre-registration on Google Play and App Store. As of now, there's no word as to when the game will actually launch as a concrete date has not been set yet. All we can be sure of is that the game will launch very soon. However, you can see a slight preview of the gameplay here (https://www.harrypotterwizardsunite.com/post/hpwufirstlook/) that basically shows off the game's capabilities and AR features. The video confirms that the game will work very similar to 'Pokemon Go' as you will run around in the real world doing magic duels and capture creatures/items. © Niantic If you are interested in playing this game, we would recommend you pre-register on Google Play and the App Store as soon as possible. You will be alerted as soon as the game is made available for download. The game has been developed by Niantic, the same developer behind 'Pokemon Go' in partnership with Warner's Portkey Games label. The game will basically add an overlay of the wizarding world on the real world. The game draws influence from both Harry Potter movies, books, and the Fantastic Beasts franchise. © Niantic The game will also use some real-world locations to transform them into Inns in the game. Players will also be able to discover Portkeys that can transport players to iconic places from the franchise. Locations such as Ollivander's wand shop in Diagon Alley are also discoverable. Players will also be able to team up with others for duels, using spells to defeat enemies like Death Eaters and Dementors.
  10. Samsung launched the company's latest flagship devices for India, however, many users were also interested to know more about the Galaxy Fold. The foldable smartphone is expected to go on sale in April and it seems like there will only be limited units available for purchase. The foldable smartphone's India availability remained a mystery, however, the company has now confirmed that the 'Galaxy Fold' will come to India. © YouTube/Samsung Speaking to select journalists, Dj Koh, President and CEO of Samsung's IT and Mobile Communications Division said that the Galaxy Fold will launch in India, without revealing any more details. “Indian market is, I clearly said, most important market — not only investment and everything, my long-term commitment is towards the market. In this market, why will I not deliver my newest technology innovation? Yes, I will do,” Koh said to Gagets360 in an interview. Samsung has not revealed the exact launch date of the smartphone, however, reports suggest that it could launch sometime in May. There's a good chance that the Galaxy Fold will be more expensive in India as it may not be manufactured here. Koh confirmed that Samsung would like to manufacture the phone in India, to keep the costs low. "Because of taxes, we must make it in India, to sell in India," he added Samsung is also working with Indian telecom companies for a smooth roll-out of 5G smartphones. There's a good chance that Samsung may launch the 5G version of the Galaxy S10 when it deems fit. India is already a very important market for Samsung as the company has already set up the world's biggest manufacturing plant in India. Some of Galaxy S10's camera features were also developed in India thanks to the company's R&D team in Bengaluru. © YouTube/Samsung It's awesome to see Samsung launch the Galaxy Fold in India, however, it would be prudent for the company to keep a realistic price. Having said that, the Galaxy Fold is going to be the company's most premium device and will demand a hefty price tag. It already carries a price tag of $1980 (approx Rs. 1,40,000) and is expected to cost even more in India. Source: Gadgets360
  11. On a Monday night Raw episode on 22nd October, Reigns dropped a bomb on his WWE fans when he opened up about having Leukemia, a form of blood cancer, and the fact that he was battling it for the past 11 years and how despite various measures his doctors and he took, the cancer had resurfaced. Reigns had announced that he would have to give up his title and go underground in order to completely focus on his illness and come back stronger. “I am coming back because I want to show all of you, the whole world… that when life throws a curveball at me… I will always swing for the fences,” the wrestler had said before walking away into darkness after he respectfully placed his championship belt on the centre of the ring. It was an emotional moment and even the toughest of wrestlers in Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins looked too overwhelmed to hold back their tears as they embraced their SHIELD teammate and sympathy and love. Reigns had also showed his appreciation for all those who cheered and prayed for his good health: Thank you to everyone who's reached out...I can't put into words what it means to me. Your energy and positivity motivate me to get better quickly to get back in the ring, but for now I'm going to spend time with my family and focus on health. 12. The manager is always right. No matter how unfair their decision seems to be at the time, the players must obey and follow their leader with the utmost dedication and sincerity. That is the unspoken code of honour in football and nobody should be able to undermine something so pristine. But clearly, Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga seems to think that he's above everyone else and therefore doesn't have to follow the code. After all, he did sign a grand seven-year contract with the Blues. On Sunday, the 24-year-old Spaniard decided to disobey his manager Maurizio Sarri's direct command during extra time in the Cabaro Cup final against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City when he refused to being substituted with Willy Caballero. Throwing a fit like a baby, Arrizabalaga refused to leave the field and talked, rather argued his way out of Sarri's decision to take him out. Sarri's livid behaviour as soon as the referee let Arrizabalaga stay on the field was not only justified but also validated by the furious Chelsea fans present at the Wembley stadium who booed the Spaniard throughout the penalty shootouts. Alas, despite Sarri's brilliant leadership and coaching throughout the scoreless yet highly engaging match, Arrizabalaga's decision to be the goalkeeper during the penalties backfired as the Citizens scored a total of four goals versus Chelsea's three to bag the win. Letting a Sergio Aguero penalty slip from underneath him was the worst that could have happened to the Spaniard after the monstrosity he had created a few moments ago. Kepa Arrizabalaga refuses to come off the pitch, and then does this... ð¤£#CHEMCI #CarabaoCupFinalpic.twitter.com/nXkZnpDCCA — David Kislingbury (@DKislingbury) February 24, 2019 The fact that in a verbal spat between a player and the manager of a team was won by the player throws a lot of shade at the leadership of one of the most prestigious clubs. The under-fire manager withdrawing from the fight against his own spawn will surely have repercussions on his journey ahead with Chelsea. Arrizabalaga came forward with an explanation for the farce in the post game press conference: "I understand that on television, on social media, they're talking about this but I am here to explain it, to say that it wasn't my intention to go against the manager. We have spoken now, and I was only trying to say I'm fine. He thought I wasn't fine. It was in tense moments, with a lot happening,” said the keeper. “I think it was just misunderstood, and unfortunate, because now people are talking about this… I don't know what to say, other than to say it was not my intention in any moment.” Enraged with Arrizabalaga's shameful act of disrespect, Twitter didn't hold back in giving the Spanish footballer a tantrum-treatment: And the wanker of the day award goes to... Kepa Arrizabalaga Well done, Kepa ððð#ChelseaManchesterCity pic.twitter.com/lClKlWbm8d — Mr Grumpy ð (@mistergrumpysnr) February 24, 2019 Kepa Arrizabalaga should never play a game for Chelsea ever again. What he did today was nothing short of a disgrace, capped off by an absolute blunder in the Aguero penalty. Disobeyed Sarri, disobeyed Zola, and ultimately shot his Chelsea career in the foot. 13. Everyone has regrets, some bigger than the others and I think Will Smith has been carrying around the biggest one ever and he's finally talking about it 20 years later. Can you imagine anyone turning down a movie like 'The Matrix'? Well, turns out that's exactly what Will did. In a 'storytime' video on his YouTube account, Will Smith talked all about 'why he turned down The Matrix' and well, the main reason is that he just didn't understand it. Yep, that's it. He was offered the lead role of Neo in the 1999 Si-Fi movie but it eventually went to Keanu Reeves. Actually, come to think of it, it's now hard to imagine someone other than Keanu playing that role. Will started off the video by saying, “This is one of them stories I'm not proud of, but it's the truth.” He explained how the offer came at a 'crazy time' in his career. He said, I had done 'Independence Day' the year before, so I was like, 'Eh, I'm not doing another alien movie, I don't want to be the alien movie guy''." Then, he did meet with 'geniuses' The Wachowskis who approached him and pitched the movie to him, but he just didn't understand it. Will explaining the pitch to us is also very funny and the animation in his video adds a great touch. He said, “I didn't get it when I read it. It's a hard movie to pitch. You know: 'Everybody lives inside a computer.' It was only when I saw it that I really got it. They came in and made a pitch for 'The Matrix'. As it turns out, they're geniuses. But there's a fine line in a pitch meeting between genius and what I experienced in the meeting.” Will, however, did acknowledge that he saved us all by not messing up 'The Matrix' because Keanu Reeves as Neo is perfect and Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus is perfect. He said, “If I had done it because I'm black, then Morpheus wouldn't have been black because they were looking at Val Kilmer. So, I probably would have messed 'The Matrix' up.” Here's the video:
  14. The love for football is only second to the pure, unconditional, and strong bond between a mother and her child. But what happens when these two come together? It's something that we recently found out in Brazil. The video of a mother narrating the story of a local football match to her visually-impaired son, from September last year, is doing the rounds of the internet right now. Silvia Grecco and her son Nickollas, 12, have become minor celebrities in the Sao Paulo team Palmeiras after the mother was spotted on TV narrating one of their matches from the stands. Sempre muita emoção. ðð·ð pic.twitter.com/Nzl0qAcpLK — silvia grecco (@pringrecco) September 10, 2018 During a recent game between Palmeiras and Botafogo Futebol Clube, Grecco explained to AFP, “I describe details: this player is wearing short sleeves, the color of their football boots, hair color.” The most heartwarming sight was to see the young Nickollas, jumping up and down with his friends at the right moments during the match, and surprisingly in unison with the thousands of other fans, who were wearing the club's dark green jersey. ðððððððð — Danilo Charlds (@CharldsDanilo) September 11, 2018 Salute to the mother ððð — ManishSingh72 (@Singh72Manish) January 29, 2019 Tmj Nicolasðð — Temisâðð 1ï¸â£7ï¸â£ð§ð· (@TemisSSilva) September 10, 2018 Silvia further added that this activity is more about the emotions than the technicalities of football. Despite not being a professional, she gives her own spin to the events on the field, sometimes even including the curses sent down the referee's way. This is surely not the first time a disabled fan has become a social media sensation by following the sports they love, but this duo of mother and son would certainly be remembered for a long, long time to come.
  15. The AirPods have been one of Apple's most successful and groundbreaking product that is due for an update by the Cupertino giant. The AirPods have been selling like hotcakes ever since its launch and it seems like a brand new version is on its way. It was revealed a few days ago that component suppliers believe that the successor to the wireless buds is on its way. Suppliers believe that it will likely be called AirPods 2 and will be launched in the first half of 2019. We've already reported about new biometric capabilities that may be a feature of AirPods 2. In fact, you can read about previous leaks and speculations here. © 9to5Mac Having said that, there's now a new leak that may point towards a feature we've always wanted on the AirPods. The leak was spotted by 9to5Mac and comes from a very unlikely source — Apple itself. The latest beta version of iOS 12.2 was rolled out to developers and in the setup screen, 9to5Mac discovered the new upcoming feature. In the set-up screen, it clearly says: “Talk to Siri with your AirPods or iPhone by saying 'Hey, Siri'.” © 9to5Mac This tells us that you can now access Siri by simply saying “Hey, Siri” which means the new AirPods will be smart enough to hear the prompt. It will work similar to how it works on the Apple Watch and on iPhones. In fact, just like other Apple products, it may be able to recognise your particular voice. It could be possible that this new feature may also be coming to existing AirPods however we aren't entirely sure if the onboard chip will be able to do so. © Pexels The new AirPods 2 is also expected to come with a new wireless charging case that will work with Apple's wireless charger called 'AirPower'. It is very likely that Apple will launch the new AirPods, the new wireless charger and even new iPads at an event scheduled for March 2019. Source: 9to5Mac
  16. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is a wonderful time, where new technologies, gadgets and now flying taxis are unveiled at the annual tech conference. This is Bell's Nexus, a hybrid-electric propulsion flying taxi that can take off and land vertically. It uses six tilting ducted fans to take off and can be used from a rooftop or a launchpad. The best part is that one can hail this flying taxi from Uber's aerial service very soon. © Bell Helicopter "As space at the ground level becomes limited, we must solve transportation challenges in the vertical dimension -- and that's where Bell's on-demand mobility vision takes hold," Bell CEO Mitch Snyder said in a statement. "The industry has anticipated the reveal of our air taxi for some time, so Bell is very proud of this moment. We believe the design, taken with our strategic approach to building this infrastructure, will lead to the successful deployment of the Bell Nexus to the world,” he added. © Bell Helicopter Bell is one of the first aircraft manufacturers that is teaming up with Uber to provide flying taxis and has a plan to create a network of city-based flying taxis. At CES this week Bell showed off its first scaled concept and is aiming to have them in operation by the “mid-2020s,” said Scott Drennan, in an interview with The Verge. “This is not a toy,” Drennan told The Verge. “This is an aircraft you would feel safe and comfortable bringing your family into.” The Verge also reports that Bell won't have a working prototype until closer to its official launch. 17. Dorain Yates, on Joe Rogan's podcast, once said that the exercises to build muscle will never change. And every day, in the gym, hustling my way through iron, I find this as the supreme truth. That's exactly what the old school exercises gave us- thick and big muscles. Fancy new school exercises are well, yeah, just fancy to look at. The big compound moves will always be the cornerstone of the muscular development. One such old school giving is the dumbbell pullover. Lost in time, this exercise was once a staple in every meathead's upper body routine. Now, not many people do it. Why and how did the pullover become such a controversial exercise? Let's decipher. The Dumbbell Pullover © Pinterest Right through the 50s till the early 70s, the dumbbell pullover was a staple chest and back exercise. Reg Park, Sergio Olivia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Feriggno and many other golden era kings advocated this exercise. The Disappearance Of The Pull-Over © Facebook Enter Arthur Nautilus, the man who introduced the pullover machine into the world of bodybuilding. Nothing was the same after that. Since the bodybuilders now had access to a more specific machine, the inclination towards the free weight dumbbell pullover diminished. Soon after, the 90s saw the exit of the pullover with the pompous entry of the functional fitness advocates. Bashed left, right and centre and the pullovers were labeled a 'shoulder-killer'. Does It Really Cause Shoulder Injuries? Almost any exercise done wrongly can cause injury. Either you are just too weak or simply lack the mobility to perform the pullover. Before jumping right into a pullover, check your over head shoulder pressing. Can you press with a full range of motion? If yes, go ahead. If no, you need mobility work. Can you do dead-hang pull-ups- all the way down and all the way up? If yes, you can try the pullover. To know whether if this exercise is for you or not, take a lighter weight and perform some initial reps. If you feel something weird in your shoulders, it's not for you. How Bros Do It Wrong! 1) Not bracing the core. 2) Dead straight arms by locking the elbow. Always maintain a slight bend. 3) Bending the elbows way too much and hence involving the triceps. How To Do It Right 1) First things first, tighten your core. 2) Use a moderately heavy weight to start with. 3) Don't lock the elbows into a straight arm. Keep a slight bend, not too much either. 4) Don't over-stretch in the over head position. 5) Keep the shoulders depressed (retracted) into the bench. What Does it Really Build Though? © Facebook Well, both. The pullover was once called the upper-body squat for a reason. It hits nearly every damn inch of your back and the chest. Depends on how you perform it, chest and back can be targeted separately. But all in all, it does hit both the muscle groups.
  18. Every day at least a million searches happen on the internet with the query 'How to lose weight quickly?' or 'How to lose 10 kilos in 30 days?' If you have seen pirate movies, you remember the situation with the hostage where on one end, it is the pirate with a sword pointing towards the spine of the hostage. On the other, it is the sharks waiting to tear the hostage's body to shreds as soon as their reflection touches the water. This is exactly the situation of fat people and fad diets. They just fail to recognize the pirate or the sharks here. © Thinkstock These fad diets usually go with the same vicious circles. Do extreme things, lose some weight, go back to the fattening lifestyle, gain all the weight again. Repeat. All these fad diets have a few characteristics in common. Use this list as a bullshit filter the next time you see a miraculous diet pop up in the dieting circles: 1. The diet categorizes food items into good and bad. It issues a list of foods that one should avoid at all costs and a list of foods one can keep hogging all day, without any quantity control as those foods fall into the good food list. 2. It enforces nutrition guidelines on an individual and states that it is the only way they will ever get results. If they do not accept this, they are doomed and bound to stay fat. 3. The diet does not care for individualization or respects one's individual food preferences. It is either the fad way or the highway. 4. It promises rapid results without listing possible downsides, the harmful effects or health implications of the same. © Pinterest 5. The diet requires an individual to purchase particular products, food supplements, or proprietary blends suggesting they will enhance the efficacy of the diet. 6. It cuts out an entire food group or a class of macronutrient from one's diets. 7. It demonizes food items that are generally considered healthy in the community. For example, fruits and vegetables. 8. It relies heavily on user testimonials and targets the emotions of the target audience than relying on scientific data or literature. 9. It falls short of completing the essential nutrients in one's diet. 10. It states that it is easy to follow but does not provide any sustainability making people follow a binary approach of all or nothing. 11. Makes claims of its effectiveness by suggesting certain public figures like doctors or celebrities or politicians who use it and hence it applies to every individual. 12. The dietary approach lacks consistent scientific literature supporting its claims. © YouTube The next time you see a pop-up ad on your web browser or a particular fitness guru or a fitness group suggesting that they have a way of dieting that will help you shed an X amount of weight almost instantaneously, use these pointers to filter out the bullshit. And if you want to seriously follow a plan that gives results and at the same time preserves your sanity, do give this piece a read. Samsung will be able to manufacture the device in time and make it available for consumer next year. Having said that, some analysts have reported that the price of the foldable smartphone will not be in the same price range as the company's other flagships. The foldable smartphone is expected to retail for 2 million won which roughly translates to $1,765. That's very expensive as compared to other foldable devices. 20. The Mate 20 series, as it turns out, now consists of four brand new phones, the Mate 20, the Mate 20 Pro, the Mate 20 X, and the limited edition Mate 20 RS Porsche Design. All of these phones pack something unique, but at their core, lie varied degrees of notch design, a Kirin 980 chipset and Leica-tuned triple rear cameras. The most interesting phone is the Mate 20 RS though. It borrows most of its specs from the Mate 20 Pro but has an "uncompromised design" with an added bit of luxury. The Huawei Porsche Design Mate 10 RS is just over six months old, but the company is already back with a successor, the Mate 20 RS. © Huawei Instead of the glass rear, the Mate 20 RS has a premium leather. On the front is a 24-megapixel selfie shooter. It is packed with a 4200mAh battery, that supports 40W SuperCharge fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage and is also IP68 dust and water resistant. When it comes to security, the Mate 20 Porsche Design offers both the in-display fingerprint scanner and 3D face unlock. © Huawei Reverse fast charging allows the Mate 20 RS to charge other wireless charging capable devices including smartphones by simply piggybacking them to phone. The phone is priced at €1,695 (Rs 1,45,000) for the 256GB variant and €2,095 (Rs 1,77,000) for the 512GB variant. It will be available in the European markets starting soon.
  21. There is a popular opinion that does rounds in the misinformed section of the fitness community regarding walking. Some even go to the extent of creating stupid videos for some hits and likes on these misinformed topics that make claims like 'walking will not help you lose weight', 'walking is just an activity and does nothing as your body easily adapts to it', so on and so forth. © Pixabay True, walking does not help you lose weight. In fact, any particular exercise does not make you lose weight. To oversimplify it, what makes you lose weight? Eating less and moving more helps you lose weight. Create a caloric deficit, follow it, you will lose weight. Add protein and weight training to the mix if you want to be muscular and look good naked after losing the weight. Now let's see how walking can be a super beneficial thing to do to lose weight and how it changes the game completely. Caloric deficit = Energy expenditure > Energy intake Energy intake is the food that you eat and Energy expenditure can be broken down into four components: 1. RMR - Resting metabolic rate 2. TEF - Thermic Effect of Feeding 3. TEA - Thermic Effect of Activity 4. NEAT - Non-exercise Activity Thermogenesis RMR is related to your bodyweight, TEF to the amount of food you are eating, TEA to your exercise schedule. All of these are variables you understand and have certain control over. The NEAT is where things become tricky. NEAT or the non-exercise activity thermogenesis stands for all the subconscious activity that you do during the day that is not considered as exercise. © Pixabay Due to the sedentary lifestyle and the office jobs most people have these days, they are sitting on a desk for 8 to 12+ hours in a day. Even though they might be working out hard in the gym and considering themselves active, the 40 to 50% of the day spent on a desk still makes them sedentary. For this very reason, your NEAT can vary anywhere between 15 to 50% of your RMR. Let's say your RMR is 1500 kcals, your NEAT could be anywhere between 250 to 750 kcals per day. Another thing that has been documented by studies is that your NEAT increases with overfeeding and decreases with underfeeding or when trying to lose weight. As you can see, this reduction in NEAT can reduce your energy expenditure anywhere between 250 kcals to 750 kcals in the above example. This is a significant number and can reduce your weight loss to absolute nil and make you think that your metabolism is damaged. How Do You Counter This? By consciously increasing your sub-conscious activity! Insert the superhero of activity here that is walking. You can simply push your NEAT up by keeping a count on the number of steps you are taking per day and slowly pushing it up. You can buy a lower-priced step counting wearable or simply install an app to count your steps for the day. Walking also makes to the top of the list as it is not physically straining and does not hamper your recovery in any way. You can listen to a podcast, connect with a long lost friend or simply take a family member with you and have a conversation with them. So to those coaches who think walking is useless, you need to educate yourselves a bit better and those who are struggling to lose weight and thinking their metabolism is broken, it is not. Just push up your NEAT. Author bio: Pratik Thakkar is the co-founder and director of GetSetGo Fitness, an online fitness company. 22. We already have smartphones out there that have 8GB of RAM and it is already considered an overkill. The OnePlus 6 and the Poco F1 are two smartphones that already offer 8GB of RAM. Even Samsung followed suit with the new Galaxy Note 9 and today it seems like they've all been beaten. © Youtube - The Verge TENAA, China's regulatory bodies that certify smartphones before their eventual launch, revealed a smartphone that will have 10GB of RAM. It's not a new smartphone but rather a new variant of a smartphone that has already been launched a few months ago. The Oppo Find X is coming with 10GB RAM and was spotted by GizmoChina. At the moment, there's no word when the smartphone will be released and there's no news whether this variant will make its way to India. © GizmoChina Having said that, it is probably the first smartphone that has that amount of memory under the hood. It definitely is an overkill as things stand today, as smartphones don't really need that amount of computing power. There are other rumours that suggest that OPPO's sister brand 'Vivo' may also be including a 10GB RAM in one of their upcoming smartphones. © BCCL To put things into perspective, laptops in the markets don't offer 10GB of RAM even today. A smartphone being able to achieve this feat is not only impressive but might set a precedent for future smartphones and other gadgets. In addition, this variant of the Find X also has 256GB of internal storage, that's more than the ROM on my laptop I'm currently typing this story on. Since the 'Find X' does not support expandable storage, the extra space is definitely an upgrade. Other specifications include the same Snapdragon 845 chipset, a 6.42-inch AMOLED screen and fast charging. The smartphone also has a mechanical sliding selfie camera that pops up each time you fire up the selfie camera. Would you buy a smartphone with 10GB RAM? Let us know in the comments below what you think about this smartphone. Source: GizmoChina

There are so many things online that you know are destined to make people laugh after becoming a hilarious meme, but people have now started finding jokes in the most unexpected places as well. For example, take this song – The original song 'Sochta Hoon Ke' is already a popular Sufi track by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and it was recently reworked for the movie 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The new version is now called 'Dekhte Dekhte' and is sung by Atif Aslam, with the video featuring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. If you have listened to the song, you would know it's not your typical meme material, but don't worry, the people on the internet are very resourceful when it comes to jokes. This is the last thing you would expect to become a meme, but here we are, this is exactly why I love the internet! People took the line 'sochta hu ke vo kitne masoom the, kya se kya ho gaye dekhte dekhte' from the song and ran with it. Here are some of the funniest results. How time flies. 24. Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru have reached their breaking point as far as traffic is concerned. The three are prime examples of the huge inflow of people in search of opportunities because development has been concentrated in these parts of the nation only. This vacuum has left the cities with tens of millions of people, and no space to actually house them in a comfortable way. To counter this very issue, Uber is envisioning UberAir, its concept for urban air mobility. The company today announced the concept at the Uber Elevate Expo being held in Tokyo. It aims to launch demonstration flights in several cities in 2020 and a paid flying taxi operation by 2023. While Uber launched its Elevate programme in 2016, last year the ride-sharing company announced its intention to launch flight demonstrations of UberAir in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Now, the company has released the first example of future routes for Uber Air flights for Delhi, Tokyo, Mumbai, Seoul, Sydney, and Taipei. The company suggests it can save up to 2 hours every day for commuters via the ambitious project. Uber will meet the country's policymakers in the coming weeks and is keen on implementing the project. © Uber By offering what it calls urban aerial ridesharing, cities across the globe over a five-year period will be able to ease out road congestion as a result of the growing population. The company is working with multiple partners to help build the aircraft with a range of 5-100kms. The aircraft is expected to maintain an altitude of 1,000-2,000 feet and should be able to do more than 100kms on a single charge. Uber is currently working with partners such as Embraer and Boeing-owned Aurora Flight Sciences to develop vehicles, and the company unveiled its first design in May. © Uber “Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru are some of the most congested cities in the world, where travelling even a few kilometres can take over an hour. Uber Air offers tremendous potential to help create a transportation option that goes over congestion, instead of adding to it,” the company said. Bengaluru already has a heli-taxi service operational by the government from Electronic City to Bengaluru Airport.
