  1. By now, every single person knows that Keanu Reeves is the best person in Hollywood. I have literally never heard anything negative about the guy and since he's immortal, he's been alive for like centuries, so it's a good track record. The only time he's in news is when he does a movie or when he does a nice thing and shows everyone again how humble and down to earth he is. Well, this time, since 'John Wick 3 Parabellum' just released, we're talking about how nice he is, yet again. Recently, someone noticed something Keanu does whenever he gets a picture clicked with a woman. He always extends his hand so as to not exactly touch the other person. While it might seem over the top, it's better than people making up stories based on one innocent picture. Or maybe, he's just anxious and it's not that deep. Whatever the case may be, everyone is loving this seemingly small thing, just like people basically love everything Keanu ever does. Lol Keanu ain't taking no chances. ððpic.twitter.com/nnfIOZKbT1 — Kemoy Lindsay (@KemziLinzi) June 9, 2019 Exactly. cAnnot believe this bunch of morons thinks keanu being respectful is bc he "doesn't wanna get hit with a lawsuit". **** off. he just ain't a fucking creep like you. https://t.co/IUDa2tY0PG — lolly ð(@f_ingspacequeen) June 10, 2019 Good explanation. I don't think embracing someone asking to take a picture with you is disrespectful, in theory. But choosing to still respect their personal space is smart because it is thoughtful. — Jacquis Neal (@jacquisneal) June 9, 2019 The great tweet and pun. John Grip — Maximus Desimus (@redcurrymonster) June 9, 2019 What a gif. pic.twitter.com/1THTLcpbGl — Chagres (@ChagresPTY) June 9, 2019 Yep. Honestly the only hero we have left — Cameron Kasky (@cameron_kasky) June 9, 2019 Hmm. Just a thought... perhaps Keanu recognized that not one of these women gave him their consent to touch him and I don't know, he respected their bodily autonomy. Keanu showing everyone how to be respectful might be a potential takeaway as well. This is just a thought though. — Dave- kindness costs nothing (@strikeoutss) June 10, 2019 Well, he has good manners. It's called “manner hands” And is used by many men around the world (mainly Asian countries). — KARD Thots // #JIWOOSBOOBMOLE (@dayona_devasia) June 9, 2019 We sure do! We stan a respectful king — ð¿ELLE ð¿(@ellektrikk) June 10, 2019
  2. Apple just announced iOS 13 for the iPhone and has started to roll out as a Beta for current devices. It comes with many new performance improvements and software tweaks to make the iPhone experience even better. One such feature is called "Optimized Battery Charging” and is designed to improve your battery's total life and health. © Macrumors The new mode can be found in the battery section of settings and you need to head to “Battery Health”. You can switch it if you want to extend your iPhone's battery life. When switched on, this mode basically learns from your usage and habits and then waits to finish charging to 100% until you need your device. © Pexels For a simpler explanation, if you charge your smartphone at night while sleeping, Apple will charge it to 80% and then wait an hour or so before you wake up to charge it up to 100%. This basically keeps your iPhone charged at optimum capacity and then charge the remaining capacity when you actually need it, instead of keeping the iPhone charged at 100%. © Reuters When any device with a battery is continually charging after it reaches maximum capacity, this, in turn, does affect the battery health. This new feature is essentially a life safer who want to keep using their iPhone without having the need of replacing the battery sooner than expected. This feature will eventually prolong the life of the device as long as possible. If you would like to check out iOS 13, you can follow our guide on how to install it on your device right now. According to Apple, these are devices that can take part in the iOS 13 beta - iPhone XS, XS Max iPhone XR iPhone X iPhone 8, 8 Plus iPhone 7, 7 Plus iPhone 6s, 6s Plus iPhone SE iPod Touch 7th Generation Source: Macrumors
  3. Ever since Google first announced its AR glass as an 'experimental' product, there's been a lot of hype surrounding it. But Google Glass didn't quite catch up with the public due to some obvious reasons. Well, after a few iterations, Google has now released the third-gen Google Glass with a slightly new design and improved internals. Yes, a new version of Google Glass is out now, and here's everything you need to know about it - © YouTube The new version of Google Glass is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR1, which is a chip that's specifically designed for AR and VR. These new pair of glasses also have a USB-C port for faster charging. The new glasses now run on Android and comes with support for Android Enterprise Mobile Device Management. As you can see, the new Google Glasses also look a little different, thanks to the new frames. Additionally, it also comes with a better camera, because why not? However, all the advancements come at a price and this one costs $999. It's still less than the original one which Google had originally shipped out, but honestly, as an average consumer, it doesn't really matter. Why? Well, that's because it's not meant to be a widespread consumer product. Google is calling it the 'Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2', and selling it only to business users. That being said, we really hope Google makes a version for consumers too. Like, seriously. We already have a ton of VR and AR headsets and eyewear out there in the market, with a few more slated to arrive soon. In fact, Microsoft's HoloLens 2 and Vuzix' glasses are really popular. Google's current customers and partners include AGCO, DHL Group, HB Fuller, and Sutter Health. So, a lot of people are actively using this product, and so we think it's high time we get a consumer version of this product.
  4. In case you have not watched today's finale, then here's a spoiler warning for you. For everyone who had watched and reacted and commented and lamented , you are not alone! Today's episode has left most fans with a cocktail of thoughts and before anything else, can I please take a moment of how brilliantly Bran orchestrated it all? Like Ekta Kapoor needs to sign him up for her next show. Bran can see anything right? So he knew the Iron Fleet was in Dragonstone and could kill Rheagal? He told Sansa Jon's heritage knowing it would turn Dany nuts. He knew Dany would go mad and wipe out King's Landing. Bran orchestrated a terrorist attack to take power in a crisis. — AlternateHistoryHub (@AltHistoryHub) May 20, 2019 When you don't contribute the group project and still get an A #GameofThronesFinale #GameofThrones #GOT #GOTFinale #DemThrones #TheFinalEpisode pic.twitter.com/tZDmThF5gn — Game of Thrones Memes (@IronThroneMemes) May 20, 2019 Bran watching Dany burn innocent people in King's Landing but knowing his time has arrived pic.twitter.com/YwXKl89UfG — Steadman™ (@AsteadWesley) May 20, 2019 Now with Bran out of our system, Dany's fall was sure a shocker for a second with how swiftly it ended for her at the hands of her lover. The way Drogon cried after he saw Daenerys was dead... you could hear his pain and heartbreak. His mother was dead. With GOT down the road, what next for us? There's still time for a show to take over, until then let's drink to some disappointment and a flaming thought of how Bran was the real player of this game.
  5. The way things went on with the eighth and final season of 'Game of Thrones', a show that had the potential to become the greatest television series of all time, I don't think there is a need for this, but nonetheless… ** SPOILERS AHEAD ** The final episode of the final season of Game of Thrones came out a couple of hours ago and a lot of us got up to watch the series finale at 6:30 on a Monday morning, just for the sake of finishing the series we had invested nine years of our lives in. Honestly, with the rate at which every episode of season 8 was dropping our expectations with the show, I am glad that they were able to just end it, regardless of who won the “game of thrones” and how. But because it is our duty to make the best out of waste, I shall rather focus on something that used to be good about the show and one of the very rare moments of the finale that could be compared to the better times of the past. ** AGAIN, SPOILERS AHEAD ** After Daenerys Targaryen decided to burn the entire King's Landing to a crisp, and told her lover/nephew about her plans to “liberate the entire world”, the perpetually confused Jon Snow finally decided to take a stand against the 'Mad Queen' and his aunt. “You will always be my queen,” he said as he drove a dagger into her heart, ending her short lived yet impactful reign of terror as the “Queen of the Seven Kingdoms” and ironically the “Protector of the Realm” laid motionless with streams of blood coming out of her mouth and nose. Congrats Jon, you shall now be known as 'The Queenslayer'. When the series had begun, Jaime Lannister, who used to look like Prince Charming from 'Shrek' back then, was infamous for doing the same. Stabbing the “Mad King” Aerys II Targaryen in the back, at the steps of the Iron Throne, Jaime 'Kingslayer' Lannister had saved the royal capital from Aerys' outrageous wish to be destroyed by wildfire. © HBO Now, Aerys II Targaryen looked like he was a hundred years old and we did not like him. On the other hand, we watched Dany truly evolve from a helpless little girl who “couldn't count beyond 20” to the “Mother of Dragons” and boy, did we like her. But essentially, they both wanted to do the same. If anything, Dany was worse than the Mad King because she actually succeeded in barbequing the city with Drogon's breath. So, why is it that while Jaime got to become Robert Baratheon's Kingsuard but Snow got exiled to the Night's Watch, where he's not allowed to marry or mate with anyone? Is this not the first failure of the new “King of the Six Kingdoms and the Protector of the Realm”, Brandon the Broken? The fact that a drunken ruler like Robert Baratheon had a lot more control over his army than the 'Three Eyed Raven' has to feel like a gut punch. So much for destiny.
  6. The next launch of a brand new iPhone is a few months away but a new patent has popped up that may give us a hint about a new feature. Ever since iPhone X was announced, Apple phased out the Touch ID biometric system in favour for an edge-to-edge design. We still got to see the feature on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. However, it was later replaced by FaceID on the iPhone XR. © Apple The iPhone XS and XS Max uses the same FaceID unlock system as its predecessor but a notable feature was missing. It seems like Apple is now looking to bring back TouchID according to the patent. The Cupertino giant is developing a fingerprint sensor that lets users unlock the smartphone by touching anywhere on the screen. The patent was granted to Apple earlier this week and was spotted by Patently Apple. © Patently Apple It would be a cool new feature if seen on the upcoming iPhone 11 and we have something similar to Apple's version developed by Vivo for a concept phone. The patent calls Apple's version as an "acoustic imaging system”. Another weird feature spotted in the same patent was the new sensor's ability to map a user's ear. The system would simply map your ear and unlock the smartphone for seamless call answering and other features. As usual, patents don't really translate to a final product every time and we would not keep our hopes high until its fully revealed or made official by Apple. We sincerely hope this feature does come to the iPhone 11 as many users still prefer to unlock smartphones with a fingerprint or at least want the option. Source: Patently Apple
  7. The much-anticipated 'The Long Night' episode of 'Game of Thrones' aired earlier this week. Die-hard fans, who watched the episode, were left rather disappointed when multiple scenes were too dark for them make out what's actually happening in the Battle of Winterfell. Well, after receiving a lot of criticism for the poorly-lit episode, the show's cinematographer Fabian Wagner decided to give some clarity. But instead of apologizing, he defended his artistic choices. © HBO Wagner said he filmed the episode in such a fashion on purpose. He said the show was directed and shot like a cinematic experience that could be viewed in a movie theatre. He went on to blame the viewers' TV settings and the quality of the screens. “A lot of the problem is that a lot of people don't know how to tune their TVs properly,” Wagner said while speaking to Wired UK and TMZ. “I know it wasn't too dark because I shot it”, said Wagner. While we appreciate Wagner and his team's intentions and effort to deliver a cinematic experience, it doesn't really make any sense. Like, why would you try to deliver a theatrical experience and make it fit for big screens when the show is not going to be shown in any theatres in the first place? © HBO Millions of people watch it on their TVs or stream it at a compressed quality on OTT platforms like Hotstar on small screens like smartphones, tablet, etc. In fact, Wagner himself noted that HBO's compression of the episode to help smooth over the streaming process, majorly ruined the experience. Then why not shoot the show with proper lighting, so it looks good on all screens? His excuse falls apart right there? Also, it's not the first episode of the show, where the scenes were supposed to be dark. We've seen a lot of 'dark' episodes of the show in the past which were quite enjoyable and, most importantly, easy to watch. So, we can't help but raise questions here when he says “the showrunners decided that this had to be a dark episode”. Yes, the idea was to show an impactful battle, but what good are the efforts when people can't even see what's happening in the battle?
  8. The big pop-culture weekend is here where many of your beloved characters will die either in 'Avengers: Endgame' or 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8. However, Endgame is already out in the U.S. and a flurry of spoilers are on their way on social media and even websites. The movie has also been leaked prior to its opening weekend and is already available to download illegally. Not everyone gets a chance to buy tickets on time especially since over 1 million people have already pre-booked tickets in India. In all honesty, there aren't enough shows to accommodate every Marvel fan and it is obvious that some people will be late to watch the movie. In order to avoid spoilers, you either need to go off the grid or stay away from your friends who like to spoil movies. Having said that, you really don't need to go turn off your internet to avoid spoilers; there are a few ways to avoid them. Here's our guide on how to avoid 'Avengers: Endgame' spoilers on the internet. Use Extensions © MensXP Chrome extensions are a gift for people who want to go into movies and TV shows completely blind and avoid every spoiler they can. I've enabled a few to avoid any Star Wars spoilers and you can do the same for your beloved franchise. You can install Unspoiler or Spoiler Protection 2.0 in Chrome extensions that basically blocks websites, articles on the basis of your keywords. You can simply feed in keywords like “Avengers”, “Endgame”, “Game Of Thrones”. “GOT”, “Season 8”, “Iron Man” and whatever else comes to mind. © MensXP If you are always on social media, you can install extensions like Social Fixer which is also available for every major browser. This extension will basically block all the posts about Endgame from your feed, even from your friends. You will need to feed in keywords for this to work but it works like a charm. For YouTube, we suggest you use an extension that lets you block videos based on keywords and titles of the video. There are plenty of extensions available to use; however, we recommend Video Blocker as the most reliable option. While these only work on laptops and web browsers, there's no proper fix for mobile phone browsers. Having said that, you can follow a few steps for mobile apps that will basically help in reducing spoiler exposure. You need to mute a few keywords on Facebook and Twitter in order for this to work on smartphones. Mobile Phones © MensXP Most spoilers come from social media and there is a way to get around that. Both Facebook and Twitter have muting features that basically makes our job easier. On Twitter, you need to go to Settings and Privacy > Muted Words> Click Add. Now you can add all the keywords you fancy to avoid spoilers on your social media feed. You will need to add these keywords once and Twitter will handle the rest. In order to be even more secure, we suggest you even add misspelt words so that it doesn't show up in your feed. The Facebook app has something similar called Keyword Snooze but it doesn't work as effectively as Twitter. So we suggest you stay off your Facebook or your smartphone altogether until you watch the movie.
  9. Amongst the brutal chaos that has engulfed Sri Lanka due to the serial bomb blasts that went off in Colombo over the last few days, there are some people who've taken upon themselves to act as messiahs during difficult times in the country. Over 300 people, including foreigners, were killed last week in the terror attack and local heroes are ascertaining that help is provided in every way possible © Twitter For instance, Irfan, an Uber cab driver helped an Indian businessman in distress and one has to be very noble to give the kind of assistance the cab driver gave his Indian customer, during extremely turbulent times. 25-year-old Ashwin Rangarajan, a finance consultant from Bengaluru was scheduled to leave for India on Sunday whose flight was delayed for over 12 hours, due to the aftermath of the blasts in the city. It was a difficult journey to make, from where he was to the airport, but he made it on time and flew back to India safely, and the person responsible for this was Irfan, his Uber driver. © Times Of India The journey Ashwin had to make till the airport was about 45kms long and he had to do it by going through the chaotic streets as the impact of the blasts were still fresh, everywhere. When Irfan got the call for duty, his first instinct was to cancel the ride to avoid any danger along the way, but he trusted his instinct and accepted Ashwin's booking for the airport, making sure he reached safe and sound. Even though Irfan's family was dead against him accepting the long ride to the airport as there were rumours floating about that Muslims were being attacked in the city post the blasts, Irfan thought it was his duty to help a fellow survivor out and instead, acted responsibly. © Pintrest This is a pure indication of the fact that in times of grave crisis, there are still people who act through the sheer presence of mind and do the right thing and can be eventually counted on with regard to their responsibility! Kudos Irfan, we're proud of you!
  10. It's been long rumoured that Google is expected to launch cheaper versions of the Pixel 3 and the name of the new smartphone may have accidentally been revealed by the search engine giant. These smartphones have been referred to as Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite. However, there are new indications that these phones will be called Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. © 9t05Google The listing on the Google Play Store confirmed that the smaller Pixel 3a will have a 5.6-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels. The larger XL variant is said to have a 6-inch display and have a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. In terms of RAM configuration, both smartphones are said to have 4GB of RAM. Other specs include Android 9 Pie, Snapdragon 670,12-megapixel rear camera, and 3,000 mAh battery. Earlier last week, 9to5Google noticed that Google accidentally made the page for the two rumoured phones live on the Google Store. This is indicative that the Pixel 3a may launch very soon as Google is gearing up for the impending launch. The two phones were bestowed the code name “sargo” and “bonito” respectively and both names were references in the first Android Q beta release. © Twitter Are excited about a cheaper Pixel smartphone? 11. WhatsApp, as we all know, has been fighting against misinformation on its platform in India. And now, the messaging service has launched a new tool with which the users can get a particular news verified. The feature is essentially a tipline, which is live as of today. Interested users can now send over messages to +919643000888, and get the rumors or a news verified. As soon as you send the message, you'll get a response asking if you want it to be verified. You can send '1' to get it verified, and you'll get a response (hopefully in sometime) informing you whether the information is true, false, misleading, disputed, or if it's presently unverifiable. © MensXP The tipline will accept text, pictures, links, and even videos in English and other regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, and Malayalam. The tipline, in case you are wondering, is operated by a New Delhi, India-based startup called Proto, in collaboration with Dig Deeper Media, and Meedan. Proto will apparently setup a database of rumors to study the spread of misinformation on the platform, especially during elections. Obviously, there's no way to tell if/ how well this works. We tried sending a text message, but haven't heard from them yet. Let's hope it gets better over time, and they work on their speed. At the end of the day, the longer it will take to get things verified, the less inclined people might be to check their facts.
  12. Salman Khan, or 'Bhai' as he is lovingly called in Bollwood, is not only known for his movies but for his extravagant habit of indulging in expensive assets. Here are 9 such assets owned by 'Bhai' which is making us fel very poor compared to him: 1. Gorai Beach home Mumbai beaches do not provide the Khan family with any exclusivity towards the beach so Salman 'bhai' has a legit gorgeous 5 BHK beach home which he bought on his 51st birthday. The insane property is spread across 100 acres and has a gym, a big swimming pool, a theatre, and the sea-facing bungalow also reportedly has a dirt bike arena for some more fun. 13. Unless you are living under a rock, you have to have an idea about who Michael Phelps is. Bringing about a revolution in the sport of swimming with more than a decade worth of non-stop dedication to his craft, multiple sessions of 2-3 hours of extreme exertion inside the pool and unbelievably strong self-discipline. Participating in four summer Olympics (2004-2016) during his time as a professional swimmer, the 33-year-old athlete has had two bronze medals, three silver medals and 23 gold medals placed around his neck. This astonishing feat of 28 medals in totality makes him the most successful Olympian in the history of mankind and the competition is not even close. It was, therefore, a moment of honour the sporting fraternity of India to host such a remarkable athlete who visited our land for the very first time. As a brand ambassador of Under Armour, a 23-year-old company that manufactures footwear, sports, and casual apparel, Phelps is here to inaugurate their very first commercial outlet that has opened up in DLF Promenade Mall in New Delhi. View this post on Instagram Level of excitement can't be contained just like the will of 1.3 billion Indians. Catch Michael Phelps at the official store launch of UnderArmour. #IndiaWill A post shared by Under Armour India (@underarmourind) on Mar 22, 2019 at 5:16am PDT During the press gathering of the inauguration, Phelps spoke about the kind of work ethic he used to follow when he was an active swimmer. “In the sport of swimming… if you miss one day, it takes you two days to get back. So, when I spent six years without missing a single day of training, I was getting so much more benefit than the other athletes,” said the 23-time Olympic gold medalist. “They (other swimmers) used to swim for six days. If you take an off on Sunday, you are not back by Tuesday and that's exactly where I was getting so much of extra benefit. Phelps also made it absolutely certain that he will not be returning to the pool after retiring from the game in 2016. “Now if I enter the pool, I don't have the same feel...” “I don't swim anymore. I have lost it,” he jokes. View this post on Instagram ðððððððð 10 years ago today i had the chance to share the pool with these guys once again. I couldn't have asked for better teammates to share this amazing moment with!! #aaronpeirsol @brendanhansen12 and @jason_lezak . I know as being a part of team USA how important the TEAM is! Thank you boys and I can't tell you how much of an honor it was!!! These guys and others helped me make history and do something that so many ppl thought was impossible! A post shared by Michael Phelps (@m_phelps00) on Aug 17, 2018 at 10:14pm PDT Another interesting question was raised by Under Armour CEO, Kevin Plank, who seemed to be equally fascinated by the swimmer as the rest of the reporters at the venue. Plank asked: “Do you love winning or hate losing?” Without hesitating for even a single second, Phelps reverted: “I hate losing. Yes, I do not like to lose. People ask me what goes on inside my mind when I am standing on the swimming block and I say 'nothing does', and that's how it should be. If a race is about to start, I am focused on winning it, and that's just it.” Phelps is the epitome of dedication and yet one of the most humble human beings to have graced the biggest stage of sports ever, and his regimen plays a huge role in building up such a character out of him.
  14. Imagine being able to fight in different cities of a country as vast and diversified as India. With professional boxing rings present in some of the most unique and people-friendly venues such as public parks and malls, the amount of instant recognition and fame mixed with the loud cheers by your fans, has to feel absolutely surreal. The main guys at Mega Boxing decided to act upon this unique idea and came up with a well established system of carrying out official boxing match-ups in the biggest cities of the country, giving the opportunity to all the aspiring pugilists from all corners to show what they are made of, throughout the year. Recognised by the World Boxing Organisation (WBO), World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council, Mega Boxing is the brainchild of founders Anirudh Pathak, Aditya Gulati and Anirban Roy, who envision the sport to be a lot bigger than it is in India. You saw a teaser last November, now it's time to experience the first episode of the biggest Indian boxing season! Details will be out soon. Raw action coming your way!https://t.co/FD0saZxacz@dlf_cyberhub @Everlast_ @EverlastIndia #boxingstream #BoxingNews #Boxing #thebiggame pic.twitter.com/dCbYohFzpV — Mega Boxing (@MegaBoxingIN) February 28, 2019 We, as an organisation, are a sucker for such innovative ideas and inspirational stories so we had to have a look-see into what was going on. This is how our interview with the Mega Boxing Co-founder, Anirudh Pathak went: How would you best describe Mega Boxing? What makes it unique? Mega boxing is India's first and only one day professional boxing IP. All other private boxing platforms in India are in a league format. Distinguishing us from others are the religious elimination round fights that we organise throughout the year, that enable us to scout the best performers in respective categories. Our venues are also not the same conventional arenas; rather we organise these fights in more public friendly places like shopping malls, IT Parks and more with the objective of ensuring that the sport resonates with a wider populous. We believe in not just promoting boxing as a sport but also as a major source of entertainment for the audience. This ideology is evident in all Mega Boxing shows that are a fusion of sports, energy, fashion and technology unlike the mainstream championships. What were the selection criteria for shortlisting these candidates? We at Mega boxing have fashioned a well-organized system to scout boxers across the India subcontinent. Scout level fights are organised across various towns and cities like Jaipur, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Gurgaon, which helps us in mapping the quality and selecting the best fighters in the circuit. The boxers from these locations are picked and asked to compete against multiple opponents in order to test their strength, talent, skills and grit. Our team carefully observes each performance, eventually selecting the best player to fight at a Mega Boxing fight night. World Boxing Organisation (WBO) has also been supportive in assisting us to look out for unique talent in the nation. Our aim is to make each player well trained by making them fight in at least 4-5 challenges before they enter the Mega boxing platform so that everybody knows what they are going to witness. What led you to take the initiative towards making boxing bigger in India? There is a huge amount of boxing talent in India that has the potential to make a mark in the international pro boxing circuit. The sport in itself deserves a much bigger audience and now needs to make a place amongst the masses. Boxing truly has the potential to engage people and churn our global heroes, along with being extremely high on the entertainment quotient. Our Indian boxers are doing exceptionally well in the amateur boxing segment but have no opportunities when it comes to professional bouts. With their immense talent and the potential to become champions and win belts, their only option to go pro is competing outside the country without the correct training and guidance. Since boxing is still primarily a rural sport, it is extremely difficult for these boxers to reach fights that can change their lives and in the limited cases when they do, they tend to lose due to the lack in training; ending the boxer's journey. Seeing the prevalence of this speed breaker, we sought to build a platform that would give our boxers a chance to fight with the correct opponents, test their grit, improve their skills, train and then reach the international circuit. Our aim is to complete the circle and build a road to Vegas for Indian boxers. How do you envision the 'fight nights' to be? Our fight nights are designed in such a manner that they would be like watching a movie. Each event would be high on thrill, music, fashion, drama, technology and lots of passion. What can we expect out of the fights at Cyber Hub? We have six very good fights planned for the event at Cyber Hub on 29th March 2019. The top card fight is between India's No 1 boxer in lightweight category – Rajesh Kumar Luka and an undefeated fighter from Tanzania- Adam Hatibu. We strongly believe that Luka is a good prospect to win the WBO Asia Lightweight title belt should he defeat Adam in the 10-round match that we have planned for them. Apart from this, all other fights would be equally exciting where we would see tough competition between young and experienced boxers, India's Rank 1 and Rank 2 women from the same weight category, previous winners against tougher competitors and interesting fights between boxers belonging to completely different backgrounds.
  15. As one of the original eight teams that were established for the first season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) first in 2008, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a lot of experience in the league but not the silverware to boast about through the years. While having made it to the IPL final in 2009, 2011 and 2016, RCB have never won the trophy. Ever since the beginning, the team has seen some brilliant players like Rahul Dravid, AB de Villiers, Kevin Pietersen and now Virat Kohli, lead the squad in red and gold but have failed to win the tournament even once, making it one of three original franchises to have never lifted the cup. Last year, in the franchise's eleventh season in the league, Virat Kohli's men consisted of an outstanding coaching staff. With former Kiwi skipper Daniel Vettori and Ashish Nehra as their bowling coaches and the World Cup winning coach for Team India, Gary Kirsten looking after the batting department, there was a lot of experience backing up RCB. The roster was loaded with big hitters like de Villiers, Brendon McCullum and King Kohli himself and a unique blend of spin and fast bowlers like Yuzvendra Chahal and Australia's Nathan Coulter-Nile, who are wicket-hungry and in their prime shape. However, despite all the experience, skills and talent aboard, the Royal Challengers were not as good as they appeared on paper. Injuries, bad judgement calls and the lack of team chemistry on their part made Bangalore one of the worst teams of the league that did not even qualify for the playoffs and were at the third last position on IPL's points table, just two points above the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), which was the worst team of them all. After their season ended on a rather forgettable note, Kohli expressed his displeasure with the team's performance in a tweet: I really believe in the concept of, "you either win or you learn". We fought hard and gave it our all but one thing is for sure, next season we definitely will bounce back stronger than ever with our learnings from this season. Take care. @RCBTweets #RCB #IPL2018 pic.twitter.com/b0QM9chRAN — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) May 24, 2018 Kohli made a pledge to the RCB fans that they would look to make the necessary changes and try their best to be better this season and it looks like the management is dedicated to keeping that pledge. During the IPL auction ahead of the twelfth season of the league, RCB spent a total of Rs. 16.35 crores out of their purse of Rs. 18.15 crores on buying talents Shivam Dube (Rs 5cr), Shimron Hetmyer (Rs 4.2cr), Akshdeep Nath while retaining the core members of the team like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal. Squad: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Parthiv Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Kulwant Khejroliya, Washington Sundar, Pawan Negi, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Moeen Ali, Mohammed Siraj, Colin de Grandhomme, Shimron Hetmyer, Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Heinrich Klassen, Gurkeerat Singh, Himmat Singh, Prayas Ray Barman, Mandeep Singh
  16. “Streaming is going to change the future of gaming, and it'll kill the consoles” - I am sure you've heard a lot of phrases like this during the past few months. Honestly, I didn't give into the whole game-streaming hype until last night, when Google unveiled Stadia, its ambitious gaming platform. As much as I like my consoles, I really think Stadia has the potential to pose a serious threat to them. In case you haven't seen it till now, Stadia's website boldly claims that “the future of gaming is not a box.” In all fairness, I think Google's presentation last night at GDC was convincing enough to support this claim. I say that because the idea of streaming a game online makes a lot of sense to me. Instead of throwing in all your money to buy dedicated gaming hardware, you can simply sign up for Stadia and play it on the device of your choice. © YouTube This means you could literally be playing Red Dead Redemption 2 (great game), on your TV, or heck, even a smartphone. So in this case, the TV or the smartphone and a controller is all you need to play such a demanding title. No downloads, no installations, and no “box”, as Google likes to call it. Google's data centre would do all the heavy work, and the internet will take care of the rest for you. All that sounds impressive, but how much will Stadia cost? Well, Google didn't have a lot to say about the pricing, but I am sure the service is not going to be free. In fact, I think it's going to be more expensive than any kind of streaming service that you use currently. I mean, c'mon, we're talking about a service that's going to help you play even the most demanding titles without the expensive hardware. That being said, I still think it'll be less expensive than, say, a gaming console from the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Look, I don't know how the upcoming PS5 or the rumoured Xbox Two is going to cost. But considering the fact the current-gen consoles were around $400 - $500 at launch, I am assuming the next ones will be pricier. And that's just for the console, and there are a lot of expenses like the PSN subscription, Xbox Game pass, and more. © Google So if Google Stadia is priced right, which I think it will, we are looking at a serious competition here. And then there's the whole ecosystem to consider as well. Imagine a situation where you're, say, watching a streamer on YouTube gaming or Twitch. With Stadia, you'd literally be able to tap a button and start playing that exact game without having to do much work. It's exactly the kind of seamless experience that I've always wanted. Also, there's seamless accessibility, Google Assistant integration, co-op gameplay, Stadia's State Play features, etc. Look, I can keep going with all these features and make some educated guesses here. But being able to experience all the games on a smartphone or a tablet from the comfort of my couch is convincing enough for me. Of course, all of this is going to take time, but streaming, particularly, Google's streaming service, has the potential to upend gaming consoles. If not, I can at least say that it has the potential to become one of the preferred ways of playing games for a lot of people.
  17. It's Game Developer's Week and Google just stole the show with a game streaming service called 'Stadia' that challenges the current status quo of the gaming industry. The service will let users stream AAA demanding games to PC, Mobiles, Tablets, Chromecast and Laptops from the cloud and is expected to launch sometime in 2019. Having said that, the streaming service is not scheduled to launch in India anytime soon. There are many contributing factors such as low internet speeds and general infrastructure that is currently not up to the mark when compared to the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. If you want to know how Stadia works and what all it can do, you can read all about it here. © YouTube However, India is one of the fastest growing markets for internet services where the country is the second largest market for smartphones. India also has the cheapest internet plans across all service providers which has increased the number of internet users in India tenfold. For Google, this is potentially the biggest untapped market as mobile gaming in India has become the preferred choice of platform for Indian gamers. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla With the sudden success of PUBG Mobile, demand for gaming smartphones has increased ever since the phenomenon took over the country. It proves that India has a huge pool of gamers on smartphones that have made games like PUBG a huge success. Smartphone gaming is extremely important for Indian customers and Google's new service can potentially provide AAA gaming to an audience that can't afford to build their own PCs or buy new consoles. For many, it will be a first-time experience that will no longer be exclusive to the affluent or passionate gamer. Gaming Is Expensive In India © MensXP Gaming is an expensive affair in India and if you want to get a real feel of India's gaming scene, Akhil Arora from NDTV paints the true picture in his piece here. Games are generally sold in India for $60 ( a direct conversion) for an audience that does not earn in the same currency. The story gets worse for hardware because of India's harsh import duties and taxes on gaming consoles. As NDTV points out “A salaried middle-class Indian has to work 9-14 times more to afford a PS4.” It's a real problem here that can be resolved by Google's Stadia platform. Not only does the streaming service makes games accessible and cheaper, but it also lets users play games on devices they already own. For the first time in India's gaming industry history, AAA gaming can be mainstream and affordable thanks to services like Stadia. What Are The Barriers? © Youtube Let's face it, India does not have the required infrastructure to support game streaming at the moment, at least on a large scale. Even though ISPs now offer Gigabit connections, it's still not as widespread as it should be. Having said that, India is on the path of rapid Digital development with companies like Jio making fibernet accessible and affordable for the average Indian. Latency is the obvious issue here that needs to address which we can only know when Google Stadia launches. © Reuters Coming back to smartphone gaming, 5G is said to support smooth game streaming, however, we won't see 5G services launch in India before 2021. In fact, we don't even know how well game streaming will run as it has not been tested in the real world yet. Having said that, the future does look bright for Google Stadia in India, as the country's infrastructure is growing at a rapid pace and doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon. Sure, it may be a few years away but sooner or later, Google Stadia will change the game for an average Indian gamer. Are you interested in Google's Stadia platform? 18. It's finally time to get our hands on the 'Pokemon Go'-style Harry Potter game. The game is about to launch soon and will be called 'Harry Potter: Wizards Unite', and is probably the most anticipated AR game ever since 'Pokemon Go'. © Niantic The developers behind the game have put 'Harry Potter: Wizards Unite' up for pre-registration on Google Play and App Store. As of now, there's no word as to when the game will actually launch as a concrete date has not been set yet. All we can be sure of is that the game will launch very soon. However, you can see a slight preview of the gameplay here (https://www.harrypotterwizardsunite.com/post/hpwufirstlook/) that basically shows off the game's capabilities and AR features. The video confirms that the game will work very similar to 'Pokemon Go' as you will run around in the real world doing magic duels and capture creatures/items. © Niantic If you are interested in playing this game, we would recommend you pre-register on Google Play and the App Store as soon as possible. You will be alerted as soon as the game is made available for download. The game has been developed by Niantic, the same developer behind 'Pokemon Go' in partnership with Warner's Portkey Games label. The game will basically add an overlay of the wizarding world on the real world. The game draws influence from both Harry Potter movies, books, and the Fantastic Beasts franchise. © Niantic The game will also use some real-world locations to transform them into Inns in the game. Players will also be able to discover Portkeys that can transport players to iconic places from the franchise. Locations such as Ollivander's wand shop in Diagon Alley are also discoverable. Players will also be able to team up with others for duels, using spells to defeat enemies like Death Eaters and Dementors.
  19. Samsung launched the company's latest flagship devices for India, however, many users were also interested to know more about the Galaxy Fold. The foldable smartphone is expected to go on sale in April and it seems like there will only be limited units available for purchase. The foldable smartphone's India availability remained a mystery, however, the company has now confirmed that the 'Galaxy Fold' will come to India. © YouTube/Samsung Speaking to select journalists, Dj Koh, President and CEO of Samsung's IT and Mobile Communications Division said that the Galaxy Fold will launch in India, without revealing any more details. “Indian market is, I clearly said, most important market — not only investment and everything, my long-term commitment is towards the market. In this market, why will I not deliver my newest technology innovation? Yes, I will do,” Koh said to Gagets360 in an interview. Samsung has not revealed the exact launch date of the smartphone, however, reports suggest that it could launch sometime in May. There's a good chance that the Galaxy Fold will be more expensive in India as it may not be manufactured here. Koh confirmed that Samsung would like to manufacture the phone in India, to keep the costs low. "Because of taxes, we must make it in India, to sell in India," he added Samsung is also working with Indian telecom companies for a smooth roll-out of 5G smartphones. There's a good chance that Samsung may launch the 5G version of the Galaxy S10 when it deems fit. India is already a very important market for Samsung as the company has already set up the world's biggest manufacturing plant in India. Some of Galaxy S10's camera features were also developed in India thanks to the company's R&D team in Bengaluru. © YouTube/Samsung It's awesome to see Samsung launch the Galaxy Fold in India, however, it would be prudent for the company to keep a realistic price. Having said that, the Galaxy Fold is going to be the company's most premium device and will demand a hefty price tag. It already carries a price tag of $1980 (approx Rs. 1,40,000) and is expected to cost even more in India. Source: Gadgets360
  20. On a Monday night Raw episode on 22nd October, Reigns dropped a bomb on his WWE fans when he opened up about having Leukemia, a form of blood cancer, and the fact that he was battling it for the past 11 years and how despite various measures his doctors and he took, the cancer had resurfaced. Reigns had announced that he would have to give up his title and go underground in order to completely focus on his illness and come back stronger. “I am coming back because I want to show all of you, the whole world… that when life throws a curveball at me… I will always swing for the fences,” the wrestler had said before walking away into darkness after he respectfully placed his championship belt on the centre of the ring. It was an emotional moment and even the toughest of wrestlers in Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins looked too overwhelmed to hold back their tears as they embraced their SHIELD teammate and sympathy and love. Reigns had also showed his appreciation for all those who cheered and prayed for his good health: Thank you to everyone who's reached out...I can't put into words what it means to me. 21. The manager is always right. No matter how unfair their decision seems to be at the time, the players must obey and follow their leader with the utmost dedication and sincerity. That is the unspoken code of honour in football and nobody should be able to undermine something so pristine. But clearly, Chelsea keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga seems to think that he's above everyone else and therefore doesn't have to follow the code. After all, he did sign a grand seven-year contract with the Blues. On Sunday, the 24-year-old Spaniard decided to disobey his manager Maurizio Sarri's direct command during extra time in the Cabaro Cup final against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City when he refused to being substituted with Willy Caballero. Throwing a fit like a baby, Arrizabalaga refused to leave the field and talked, rather argued his way out of Sarri's decision to take him out. Sarri's livid behaviour as soon as the referee let Arrizabalaga stay on the field was not only justified but also validated by the furious Chelsea fans present at the Wembley stadium who booed the Spaniard throughout the penalty shootouts. Alas, despite Sarri's brilliant leadership and coaching throughout the scoreless yet highly engaging match, Arrizabalaga's decision to be the goalkeeper during the penalties backfired as the Citizens scored a total of four goals versus Chelsea's three to bag the win. Letting a Sergio Aguero penalty slip from underneath him was the worst that could have happened to the Spaniard after the monstrosity he had created a few moments ago. Kepa Arrizabalaga refuses to come off the pitch, and then does this... ð¤£#CHEMCI #CarabaoCupFinalpic.twitter.com/nXkZnpDCCA — David Kislingbury (@DKislingbury) February 24, 2019 The fact that in a verbal spat between a player and the manager of a team was won by the player throws a lot of shade at the leadership of one of the most prestigious clubs. The under-fire manager withdrawing from the fight against his own spawn will surely have repercussions on his journey ahead with Chelsea. Arrizabalaga came forward with an explanation for the farce in the post game press conference: "I understand that on television, on social media, they're talking about this but I am here to explain it, to say that it wasn't my intention to go against the manager. We have spoken now, and I was only trying to say I'm fine. He thought I wasn't fine. It was in tense moments, with a lot happening,” said the keeper. “I think it was just misunderstood, and unfortunate, because now people are talking about this… I don't know what to say, other than to say it was not my intention in any moment.” Enraged with Arrizabalaga's shameful act of disrespect, Twitter didn't hold back in giving the Spanish footballer a tantrum-treatment: And the wanker of the day award goes to... 22. Everyone has regrets, some bigger than the others and I think Will Smith has been carrying around the biggest one ever and he's finally talking about it 20 years later. Can you imagine anyone turning down a movie like 'The Matrix'? Well, turns out that's exactly what Will did. In a 'storytime' video on his YouTube account, Will Smith talked all about 'why he turned down The Matrix' and well, the main reason is that he just didn't understand it. Yep, that's it. He was offered the lead role of Neo in the 1999 Si-Fi movie but it eventually went to Keanu Reeves. Actually, come to think of it, it's now hard to imagine someone other than Keanu playing that role. Will started off the video by saying, “This is one of them stories I'm not proud of, but it's the truth.” He explained how the offer came at a 'crazy time' in his career. He said, I had done 'Independence Day' the year before, so I was like, 'Eh, I'm not doing another alien movie, I don't want to be the alien movie guy''." Then, he did meet with 'geniuses' The Wachowskis who approached him and pitched the movie to him, but he just didn't understand it. Will explaining the pitch to us is also very funny and the animation in his video adds a great touch. He said, “I didn't get it when I read it. It's a hard movie to pitch. You know: 'Everybody lives inside a computer.' It was only when I saw it that I really got it. They came in and made a pitch for 'The Matrix'. As it turns out, they're geniuses. But there's a fine line in a pitch meeting between genius and what I experienced in the meeting.” Will, however, did acknowledge that he saved us all by not messing up 'The Matrix' because Keanu Reeves as Neo is perfect and Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus is perfect. He said, “If I had done it because I'm black, then Morpheus wouldn't have been black because they were looking at Val Kilmer. So, I probably would have messed 'The Matrix' up.” Here's the video:
  23. The love for football is only second to the pure, unconditional, and strong bond between a mother and her child. But what happens when these two come together? It's something that we recently found out in Brazil. The video of a mother narrating the story of a local football match to her visually-impaired son, from September last year, is doing the rounds of the internet right now. Despite not being a professional, she gives her own spin to the events on the field, sometimes even including the curses sent down the referee's way. This is surely not the first time a disabled fan has become a social media sensation by following the sports they love, but this duo of mother and son would certainly be remembered for a long, long time to come.
  24. The AirPods have been one of Apple's most successful and groundbreaking product that is due for an update by the Cupertino giant. The AirPods have been selling like hotcakes ever since its launch and it seems like a brand new version is on its way. It was revealed a few days ago that component suppliers believe that the successor to the wireless buds is on its way. Suppliers believe that it will likely be called AirPods 2 and will be launched in the first half of 2019. We've already reported about new biometric capabilities that may be a feature of AirPods 2. In fact, you can read about previous leaks and speculations here. © 9to5Mac Having said that, there's now a new leak that may point towards a feature we've always wanted on the AirPods. The leak was spotted by 9to5Mac and comes from a very unlikely source — Apple itself. The latest beta version of iOS 12.2 was rolled out to developers and in the setup screen, 9to5Mac discovered the new upcoming feature. In the set-up screen, it clearly says: “Talk to Siri with your AirPods or iPhone by saying 'Hey, Siri'.” © 9to5Mac This tells us that you can now access Siri by simply saying “Hey, Siri” which means the new AirPods will be smart enough to hear the prompt. It will work similar to how it works on the Apple Watch and on iPhones. In fact, just like other Apple products, it may be able to recognise your particular voice. It could be possible that this new feature may also be coming to existing AirPods however we aren't entirely sure if the onboard chip will be able to do so. © Pexels The new AirPods 2 is also expected to come with a new wireless charging case that will work with Apple's wireless charger called 'AirPower'. It is very likely that Apple will launch the new AirPods, the new wireless charger and even new iPads at an event scheduled for March 2019. Source: 9to5Mac

This is Bell's Nexus, a hybrid-electric propulsion flying taxi that can take off and land vertically. It uses six tilting ducted fans to take off and can be used from a rooftop or a launchpad. The best part is that one can hail this flying taxi from Uber's aerial service very soon. © Bell Helicopter "As space at the ground level becomes limited, we must solve transportation challenges in the vertical dimension -- and that's where Bell's on-demand mobility vision takes hold," Bell CEO Mitch Snyder said in a statement. "The industry has anticipated the reveal of our air taxi for some time, so Bell is very proud of this moment. We believe the design, taken with our strategic approach to building this infrastructure, will lead to the successful deployment of the Bell Nexus to the world,” he added. © Bell Helicopter Bell is one of the first aircraft manufacturers that is teaming up with Uber to provide flying taxis and has a plan to create a network of city-based flying taxis. At CES this week Bell showed off its first scaled concept and is aiming to have them in operation by the “mid-2020s,” said Scott Drennan, in an interview with The Verge. “This is not a toy,” Drennan told The Verge. “This is an aircraft you would feel safe and comfortable bringing your family into.” The Verge also reports that Bell won't have a working prototype until closer to its official launch.
