  4. Days after Mumbai Police decided to use colour-coded stickers for essential vehicles to control traffic amid the COVID-19 curfew the Twitter handle of the Mumbai police department has been flooded with messages asking for clarifications. At present, section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed that prohibits assembly of five or more people at one place is in force in Mumbai and other parts of the state to bring down the COVID-19 cases. In all those messages and tweets, one Twitter user and a Mumbai resident asked the police which colour of the sticker to use for taking his vehicle out to meet his girlfriend. He wrote, “What sticker should I use in order to go out and meet my girlfriend? I miss her.” Mumbai Police has the perfect answer to it and they chose words very responsible. The tweet handle said, “We understand it’s essential for you sir but unfortunately it doesn’t fall under our essentials or emergency categories! Distance makes the heart grow fonder & currently, you healthier. We wish you a lifetime together. This is just a phase.” We understand it’s essential for you sir but unfortunately it doesn’t fall under our essentials or emergency categories! 6. A brand new iPhone leak suggests that the next iPhone might get a camera upgrade users have been asking for years. According to renowned leaker Ming Chi-Kuo, the 2022 iPhone will likely get a 48MP camera that will be able to capture media in 8K resolution. For Android users, this may not be news as some smartphones already boast cameras with higher megapixels and the ability to capture 8K video. However, for Apple users, this will be the first time we could see an iPhone with a camera that has a higher resolution than 12MP. © theregisti--unsplash In a note, Kuo also states that the iPhone 13 mini will be the last small smartphone by Apple as well: “We predict that the new 2022 iPhone will have 4 models, namely the high-end 6.7-inch and 6.1-inch models, and the lower-end 6.7-inch and 6.1-inch models.” The note also went on to add that iPhones in 2022 will be getting a 48MP camera that will be able to capture 8K video. Kuo said the upgrade will come to two “high-end” models, presumably the “Pro” variants of the series. The story doesn’t end there though since the 2022 iPhone is also expected to get other camera upgrades in the near future. Kuo says that in 2021, Apple is expected to use a periscope telephoto lens as well as an under-screen Face ID feature. © mark-chan-unsplash Kuo has a tremendous record when it comes to Apple-related leaks and has accurately predicted iPhone launches with utmost accuracy in the past few years. Having said that, this information is still based on supply chain leaks and could change at any time. We do advise taking this information with a pinch of salt as Apple is known for throwing a wrench at the last moment. Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 13 later this year and it is likely to follow the same model line up as the iPhone 12 Series. There have been rumours that Apple might use a smaller notch but that remains to be seen. If Kuo’s prediction comes to fruition, it could be the biggest upgrade we’ve seen on the iPhone yet. 8. Just yesterday, people wanted to boycott Farhan Akhtar’s Toofaan but after the makers released the teaser of the movie today, the whole perception has changed. The actor has undergone a massive physical transformation to play the role of the boxer in the film which is being helmed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The teaser shows how Farhan transforms from a goon to a boxing star. In the beginning, we get to see Ajju Bhai played by Farhan as a thug from Dongri who makes the lives of other people miserable by beating them mercilessly. Things change when he pledges to follow boxing and with the support of his ladylove played by Mrunal Thakur and his trainer (Paresh Rawal), he manages to make a mark. Here’s the teaser: After watching the teaser, people are all praises for the actor and the content that the filmmaker has managed to put forth. People are happy how Farhan always puts in his labour to get the desired results. People also feel that the movie deserves a theatrical release because it looks like an impressive and powerful spectacle. © Amazon Prime Video © Amazon Prime Video © Amazon Prime Video © Amazon Prime Video The movie will be releasing on May 21, 2021, on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories. Toofaan is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and Farhan Akhtar. In a statement, Mehra had said, “After working with Farhan in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, I was certain he would be the perfect protagonist for Toofaan. The best thing about him is that he does not act the part, but lives it completely.” "Toofaan is a story that will motivate and inspire all of us to get out of our comfort zones and fight towards achieving our dreams. We cannot wait to present our film to viewers across the globe," the filmmaker added. Earlier, speaking about the film, Farhan had said, "Putting this level of effort is only possible if the story motivates you to give your best. At the end of the day, we’re not making a film to showcase a great physique but to emotionally engage the audience with the journey of the character. To make that experience believable, all efforts are worth it." Are you looking forward to this one? Let us know in the comments section below. View the full article

  10. My biggest problem with every OnePlus phone that has launched until now is probably the camera capabilities of the phones. Irrespective of whether you're using a 'pro' or a normal variant, they aren’t at par with modern smartphones. There have been times where OnePlus phones tend to click images worse than budget phones that cost half its price. However, according to a new rumour, that might all change with the OnePlus 9 Series. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla OnePlus 9 has already been pictured and leaked this past week, but it seems like there’s a new collaboration that might change photography on these phones. The brand is said to be working with Leica for the OnePlus 9 series which could change image quality for the better. © PhoneArena Leica has worked with smartphone OEMs in the past such as Huawei and managed to deliver some of the best camera smartphones in the past. Twitter tipster ‘Rodent950’ took to Twitter and revealed that OnePlus will be working with the German photography company next year. The account is most known for Huawei leaks which could add some weight to his information, thanks to the Chinese company and Leica’s partnership in the past. Huawei- Leica OnePlus- Leica Nokia- Zeiss Vivo- Zeiss Who takes Hasselblad — Teme (特米) (@RODENT950) December 17, 2020Op9 series — Teme (特米) (@RODENT950) December 17, 2020The OnePlus 9 is rumoured to come with a multiple-camera setup, however the exact information on sensors still eludes leakers at the moment. Rumours suggest there will be two 48MP sensors, a 16MP selfie camera while other sensors are up for speculation at the moment. It could be possible that at least one of the sensors could be made by Leica for the ‘Pro’ models of the upcoming OnePlus 9 series. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The phone is also expected to have a flat 6.55-inch display that is similar to what we’ve already seen on the OnePlus 8T. The display is also expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 2400 x 1080p. Much like previous OnePlus phones, the main series is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset and will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Do you think OnePlus’ partnership with Leica could improve photography capabilities in future OnePlus phones? Do let us know in the comments what you think about this rumoured partnership. 11. I’m not going to lie, when I started playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, I assumed that it would be the same game as Odyssey with very few changes. However, to my surprise, the game is probably the best in the series yet and has enough innovation to make you want to play the game for hours, days or even months. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a melting pot of everything we like from the previous games, refined further and then combined together to create one of the best RPGs Ubisoft has ever made. The game not only refines what the franchise has done right in the past, but it has also taken influence from games like Breath of The Wild, God of War and The Witcher 3. While there are some changes in the game, it still retains some of the elements we’ve been familiar with from the first game. It’s got a historical setting, features the iconic ‘Leap of Faith’ animation, synchronisation points, the hidden blade, crowd blending amongst other mechanics familiar to the franchise. It’s a culmination of everything we love about the Assassin’s Creed franchise while adding new systems that are meaningful and logical. © Ubisoft You soon start building up your settlement alongside your longhouse by gathering resources and raiding. In fact, raiding is probably the most intriguing feature of this game that yields in resources, loot and treasure for your settlement and character. The Norse people were known in history for raiding, pillaging and looting the English land to grow their own influence in the region. The game gives a historic nod to these activities by directly translating it into an activity you can do in the game. You travel in a longboat along the shores of rivers and find these settlements to raid for your settlement’s benefit. © Ubisoft Sooner or later, you will face stronger enemies who don’t get easily stunned by parries and you will need to adjust your combat style to take them down. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, you can dismember enemies that have been brilliantly depicted with blood and gore. You can turn it off in the settings if you aren’t a fan, but I genuinely loved that the game did not shy away from gore this time around. To complement your combat, the game also provides you with skills and abilities which are now revamped and some of the best systems we’ve seen in an RPG. For starters, you will come across a skill tree which is quite expansive. These skills are passive upgrades for your character that improves stats for melee, ranged and stealth attacks. Similarly, the game also offers abilities that you have to find in the world instead of unlocking them in a skill tree. © Ubisoft The game also pays heavy focus on exploration where you need to find treasures, abilities, silver, loot and collectables in the game. Even the longboat in this game is used mainly for exploration and transportation. You will use your longboat to traverse a network of rivers throughout England and it plays an integral part for almost everything you do in the game. Since the game is heavily focused on exploration, you get to visit four key locations i.e. Norway, England and two others we aren’t allowed to talk about. The world map is very expansive and it has enough interesting locations for people to explore. In fact, if you see something interesting from afar, you will most probably find something interesting there to discover in a hidden cave or behind a collapsable wall. View the full article

  13. “Maal hai kya bro?” The need for a crackdown on the drug cartel in India has been flashing across all news channels. But what’s missing from the screaming matches on television is the dark and gory side of substance abuse and how these drugs are infiltrated in the market. Taking us behind the curtains of this murky world, the trailer of the MX Original series High just dropped. On the first look, the trailer is edgy, raw, and real. This power-packed series brings alive the entangled web of suppliers, peddlers, substance users, media, pharma companies, and ruthless henchmen – all chasing the new ‘high’ in town. The show revolves around Shiv Mathur (Akshay Oberoi), a struggling drug addict who is trying to get a grip on his life. In an attempt to beat his addiction, he checks into a rehab facility. But instead of things getting better, it looks like the show plot thickens just at this juncture. The trailer of High pans its focus on the doctors running this rehab. Doctor Roy (Prakash Belawadi) and junior doctors, Dr. Shweta (Shweta Basu Prasad) and Dr. Nakul (Nakul Bhalla) are working on a mysterious new drug compound. On the surface, it seems that this magical pill has an edge above all. But the real question is – is this magical drug worth dying for? MX Player High also stars Ranvir Shorey as Lakda, the killer assassin who is interested in this magical pill that has disrupted the illegal drugs market. The show also has a performance-driven ensemble cast of Mrinmayee Godbole, Kunal Naik, Mantra, and Madhur Mittal. Directed by acclaimed ad filmmaker Nikhil Rao, High is a 9-episodic series that looks intriguing and thrilling. High is all set to go live on October 7 exclusively on MX Player. Mark the date, because this is one addictive ride you would not want to miss! View the full article
  14. Apple just wrapped up its annual WWDC event where it announced a lot of really cool software features. We have a new version of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and more, but for now, let's focus on the new iOS 14. Apple has given us our very first look at the latest version of iOS, the iOS 14. It's bringing the biggest change to the home screen in years with the launch of widgets. New Home Screen Customization & Widgets © Apple Yes, widgets were already a thing in iOS, but they're going to be more prominent now as you can bring them out to any of your home screen pages and customize them. They'll now live right alongside your apps and it kind of looks cool. Apple is also bringing the 'App Library' view that automatically organizes apps into groups and lists. This will basically do the work for you and automatically create folders for, say, Apple Arcade. It's also worth pointing out that Apple has also added a system-wide picture-in-picture mode. New Siri Features © Apple In iOS 14, Siri also has a new view. So instead of taking up your entire screen, Siri will now peek as a drop-down shade when you say "Hey Siri". This is great because you no longer have to leave what you were doing. Also, Siri can now send audio messages in addition to dictated messages. iMessage Is Getting Even Better © Apple In iOS 14, you'll be able to pin important conversations and contacts on top. Apple has also introduced threads inside group chat to make it easier to follow a particular conversation. And of course, Apple is also adding a lot of ways to customize your Memoji. App Clip © Apple If you know anything about Android's 'Instant Apps' then you'll already know what we're going to talk about. Apple's App Clip is essentially a speedy, card-based snippet of apps that let you access small parts of apps without having to download them. For instance, if you want to order something from the marketplace, then you can simply use App Clip and use the app instead of downloading the full app, which you'll probably never use again. Privacy FocusApple is also taking privacy very seriously and is adding a slew of new privacy features. There'll be a new dot in the top right corner to indicate that an app is using a microphone or camera. This is a great way to keep a tab on the apps that are misusing your permissions. Apps will also have to ask before they track you across other apps and websites. iOS 14 will be tested and made better over the summer, and it'll be made available with the new iPhones that come out in September. 15. We've all been excited about this movie right since it was first titled Dhaka and Chris Hemsworth was in India shooting for it and had the full desi experience, which included getting stuck in traffic. But, after seeing the trailer for Extraction, I can honestly say that it deserves all the hype it has been getting. I mean, most desi people are probably waiting to watch the movie just because it has Chris Hemsworth in it, who is playing such a badass role by jumping off of buildings and fighting people on the streets in India and Bangladesh, but the trailer itself is so great that everyone should watch it. Basically, the movie follows Chris' character Tyler Rake, a black-market mercenary who has to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord . But of course, things aren't as simple in the murky underworld of weapons dealers and drug traffickers. Along with Chris, the movie also stars David Harbour, Manoj Bajpayee, Marc Donato, Fay Masterson, Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi and Derek Luke. While the entire trailer is full of action and kickass moments, we still decided to pick some of our favourite ones that are making it unbearable to wait till 24th April for the movie: 1. That Insane Dive From A Cliff Into A River © Netflix Now, this is how you f*ucking start off a trailer! Something so insane right off the bat is a sure-shot way of making literally everyone excited for the entire trailer. Also, Chris Hemsworth being the one doing the jumping is just the cherry on top. 2. Chris Hemsworth Having His Own âAquamanâ Moment © Netflix Jason Momoa, who? (Sorry, we still love you man) But, this does seem like the perfect crossover - Thor is now Aquaman and Marvel and DC fandoms are finally at peace. I'm just kidding but it doesn't look such an incredible shot. 3. Pankaj Tripathi Looking Menacing AF © Netflix But, when does he not, tbh? This movie will be the perfect desi-videshi crossover and that should be enough to get all the Indians excited to watch it as soon as it comes out. 4. Chris Hemsworth Channeling His Inner âFast & The Furiousâ © Netflix Have you wondered how Fast and the Furious would look like if it was set in India? Well, thanks to Chris, we know that now. And turns out that it's just a lot of dust and broken windows. 5. Every Single Moment Between Chris & âThe Kidâ © Netflix I know it's weird to say that about a movie like this, but it's so wholesome. They both seem to have great chemistry and 'protective dad mode' Chris is the best Chris. 6. Randeep Hooda Taking On Chris In âBeech Sadakâ © Netflix If a few months ago you told me that we would get a movie where Chris freaking Hemsworth would be fighting Randeep Hooda on the streets of India - or Bangladesh - I would have never believed it. But, here we are and it looks awesome. View the full article
  16. Ali Fazal is, without a doubt, a star that aspiring actors look up to. There was no looking back for him after his movie Fukrey became a massive hit at the box office. Slowly and gradually, he made his mark in the industry and now, he is all set to entice his fans with his upcoming movie Death On The Nile, where he will be sharing screen space with a bevvy of stars including Kenneth Branagh, Gal Gadot, Russel Brand, Rose Leslie, Armie Hammer, and Letitia Wright. Fazal's new look from Death on the Nile is out wherein he is seen sporting a pencil-thin moustache, wearing a black striped suit with black gloves and a striped muffler. Fans are looking forward to seeing the actor nail this character as well. © Kinberg Genre Talking about his look, a source close to him told Mid-Day, “The actor who was earlier sporting a prominent facial fuzz has shaved off his beard. His look for the last month has been with a pencil moustache. Ali is the kind of actor who believes in sinking his teeth into his character completely. Because of the representation of Indians in movies, Ali is extremely particular about his look in films he does internationally. He categorically picks parts where acting is a priority over the race of his character. For the longest time, Indian actors in the West had stereotypical imagery, and Ali is cautious to not allow his characters to suffer from similar issues. He is imbibing the traits of his character, taking a step ahead of what the script had. He even started reading the original material at the start of the shoot, keeping the script as his bible all along.” View this post on Instagram Abide! A post shared by ali fazal (@alifazal9) on Dec 1, 2019 at 2:25am PST The film is a follow-up to the 2017 blockbuster Murder on the Orient Express by the same studio, 20th Century Fox. It was also an adaptation of Christie's novel of the same name. Death on the Nile is slated for an October 9, 2020 release. Are you excited for this one? Let us know in the comments section below.
