  1. As a child, I've always dreamt of appliances that I could control with a remote; simply because I am lazy and don't want to get up to switch off my lights or fans. Now that IoT devices are becoming more affordable, we now have smart bulbs that don't cost a bomb. Xiaomi is one of those companies that makes a smart bulb that costs a fraction of whatever else is available to buy. Xiaomi already makes Air Purifiers, LED strips and now has brought the 'Mi Smart Bulb' to India via crowdfunding. It costs Rs 999 for people who choose to back the product while the retail price could be anywhere between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,500. Other companies such as Philips and Wipro do make similar products but are not as aggressively priced as Xiaomi's offering. © Xiaomi Unlike Phillips Hue smart lights, the Mi Smart Bulb does not require a bridge to operate. It connects directly to your Wifi and can be controlled from either the Mi Home app or the Yeelight app. You can use the app to customise the different moods for your room straight from your smartphone, as long as there is an internet connection. Setting it up is quite rudimentary and easy as you will have to first switch on and off the bulb five times. The bulb will then light up with rainbow colours signifying that is ready to pair with your smartphone. You then need to open the Mi Home app, find the bulb and pair the two devices. © Xiaomi Please note, the Mi Smart Bulb uses an E27 base which means you need to screw in the bulb into your lamp. If you own an older lamp with a B22 base, you can buy the converter from any local electrical shop. I hooked up the Mi Smart Bulb with one of my floor lamps and my bedside lamp with automated schedule and custom scenes. While watching a movie, I could simply change the mood to a preset from the app that is apt for movie viewing. Similarly, the Mi Smart Bulb can produce up to 16 million colours. You can set any colour you want as it uses 4 Red, 4 Green, 2 Blue and 12 White LEDs and adjust the intensity of the light according to your preference from the Mi Home app. © MensXP Now, about that childhood dream of mine of not wanting to get up to switch on or off my lamp; the Mi Home app gives you the option to schedule the on or off timings. You can even turn it off manually from your phone but it's just easier to have a schedule in place. For example, both my floor lamp and the bedside lamp are scheduled to switch on at 6:30 PM every day. You can also assign a specific colour or scene in the same schedule. There are 9 preset scenes you can choose from but my go-to scene is the “Warm Home” scene. It gives a bright yellow hue that almost matched with other bulbs in the house. The intensity is slightly brighter by default which can be adjusted from the Mi Home app. Similarly, both smart bulbs are also scheduled to go off at midnight, the time everyone in the house is either in bed or is already asleep. If you want to be even lazier, you can even hook the smart bulbs with Google Assistant or Alexa and control it by using the virtual assistants. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Bulb is probably the most affordable and easiest way to make your room smart. Currently, it is the cheapest option to buy and works flawlessly with Xiaomi's Mi Home ecosystem. For Rs 999, it is by far the best option in the market right now and you can keep expanding your setup to make your entire home smart. The only drawback is the E27 base, however, you can always buy the converter to make it work with all your older lamp bases.

  3. Virat Kohli is arguably the best ODI batsman in the world of cricket for the past year or so and has enough silverware to support this argument. 2018 was probably his best year as a professional athlete ever since he was picked as one of the Men in Blue in 2008 and slowly escalated to become the leader of the team late in 2014. Having said that, the Delhi born had made a name for himself as a bit of a hot-head in the early years of his cricketing career and when he was made the captain of such a prestigious and famed team, people began to criticise his overzealous attitude and inability to control his temper. Indian fans of the game thought that Kohli's abusive language on the field brought disgrace to the uniform he wore, the same uniform that all-time great skippers like Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni had donned so proudly in the past. But according to the skipper, ever since Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and he tied the knot in December 2017, his methods of both playing the game and leading the team have changed for the better. Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey. pic.twitter.com/aobTUwMNAK — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) December 11, 2017 “You become extremely responsible in your life and you start putting things into perspective a lot more. It has not only made me a better player and a better captain but also a better human being outside the field,” said Virat Kohli about the changes in him after marriage, in an interview with the International Cricket Council (ICC). And surely, the 30-year-old has transformed his etiquette as a cricketer and put a lid on his anger, especially under pressure situations and foreign soil in the presence of a hostile audience. Be it bowing in front of a shrewd Australian crowd or asking the cricketing fans to stop booing Steve Smith (for the sandpaper gate in South Africa) and urging them to cheer for him instead for the brilliant cricketer that he is, Kohli has taken a 180 degree turn. Sure, there are times when Kohli lets one or two 'gaalis' out in excitement or frustration, but that's the competitive nature of an elite sportsman that will not (and should not) ever get away from him.
  4. ICC World Cup 2019 started out on a great note, with fans from all corners of the cricketing world tuning in to witness some of the best teams take each other head-on at the greatest platform there is in the sport. Sadly, the infamous English weather took over and literally washed out all the excitement and entertainment right out of the quadrennial tournament. Exactly how bad are the weather conditions in England? Well, in the last four days, we have only seen one match and less than eight overs of another match in total with eight teams getting one point each without putting in zero to negligible effort all due to the rains disrupting some of the greatest matches of the Cricket World Cup, one of which included the clash between the two teams that remain undefeated during the ongoing contest ie, India and Pakistan. Things have become so frustrating that it is almost comical now. Indian bowling all-rounder Kedar Jadhav even pushed out a video on the internet requesting the heavy, non-stop rains to move to Maharashtra and let them play cricket. Haha Kedar Jadhav asking rains from England to shift to Maharashtra ðâ¤ï¸ #INDvNZ #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/ZcdoKcypkT — Saurabh (@Boomrah_) June 13, 2019 In the same comical tone, the fans of the Men in Blue have begun a fun banter with the supporters of Sarfaraz Ahmed's Pakistan cricket team, letting them know that their chances of winning against Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team are extremely slim. They went on to say that the only way for Team Pakistan to save themselves from a horrible and humiliating loss at the hands of the Bleed Blue army, is to pray that the downpour happens once again at Old Trafford, Manchester on Father's Day, this Sunday. This Sunday, the best way for Pakistan to avoid defeat in the match against India is to pray for rain, which is likely to spoil the game. Otherwise, Pakistan's defeat is sure. — Dr. Ashok Dhamija (@ashokdhamija) June 14, 2019 There is possibility that Pakistan will have a happy memory in this world cup. And may gain points against India There is plenty of chance for rain and match being washed out. — Chowkidar Vikram Joshi (@vikyjoshi3) June 14, 2019 Pakistan praying for rain and India showing them way to a na pakistan Train — MUKESH SURANA (@mukeshsurana) June 14, 2019 Pakistan team praying for Rain on Sunday against India because Baap rocks on Father's Day #ShameOnICC #ShameOnICC pic.twitter.com/B6Dkg62RJD — manish Agrawal (@MkAgrawal003) June 14, 2019 Only rain can save pakistan team from team india..#CWC — Puneet Suri (@Puneetsuri1) June 13, 2019 All jokes aside, India versus Pakistan is arguably the biggest match of World Cup 2019, maybe even bigger than the tournament final and if unfortunately, the rain does washout the Father's Day main event, the World Cup might lose out on whatever viewership it is enjoying right now.
  5. If there is one thing that never fails to unite the entire Indian subcontinent, regardless of their many differences, it is the possibility of watching India and Pakistan butt heads on the cricket field. The excitement is buzzing at all times, the anticipation is almost palpable as the arch rivals get ready for the face-off, while the cheering can get bad enough to numb the ears. Literally. © Twitter People from both sides of the border wait with bated breath before every delivery, and after every shot that is played, let alone the times when the third umpire gets involved. There's no denying that both India and Pakistan feel very strongly about any and every cricket match between the two countries. © Twitter However, now with the ICC World Cup kick-starting in just a few hours, and with the Indo-Pak match scheduled for 16th June, the pheromones are only expected to get crazier with each passing day. But, what's crazier still is that so many people are willing to spend a fortune to catch the Indo-Pak clash LIVE in Manchester. © Twitter If you happen to be one of those who are considering (no matter how last minute it may seem now) to fly down to England in the new couple of days to catch the ICC World Cup LIVE, here is the cheapest way to get it done. Two-Way Air Ticket Expenses © Getty Images Managing the travel expenses will be the biggest concern while putting this trip together. The distance as well as the growing demands for tickets due to the World Cup might force you to shell out a good amount of money to reach your destination. The round-trip air fare for Economy tickets from Delhi to London and back, will cost you Rs 55,000 approximately. Two-Way Air Tickets Per Head (Approx.): Rs. 55,000 Lodging Expenses © Getty Images Since the Indo-Pak clash is scheduled to take place in Manchester, ideally one should look for a place that is as close to Old Trafford as possible. However, that means excessive expenditure because of the surging hotel fares. So we suggest opting for the cheapest AirBnB option instead. An AirBnB lodging in someplace like Failsworth will cost you approximately Rs 2,600 per night. Depending on how long you plan to stay after the Indo-Pak match (and how good or bad the result of the match is), you'd better do the required math for your lodging expenses. AirBnB Lodging Per Night (Approx.): Rs 2,600 © Twitter Those two would be the two of your major expenses apart from inter-city commutation, sightseeing and food expenditure which again depends on personal preferences and cannot be generalised. However, given that the value of the pound is touching the sky at Rs. 88 we presume that's also going to add bulk to your trip in a lot of ways. Estimated Total Travel & Lodging Expenses For 2 Night/3 Days (Inclusive of Food,Sightseeing, etc): ≤ Rs. 1.20 Lakhs That ain't cheap, but if it's last minute and you wish to make the most of the trip to London, it can't get cheaper than this.
  6. This story is not going to be about some hard-hitting facts about some sport or a shocking revelation about an athlete's past. No, this story is about the essence of sports and how it transcends every limitation and restriction that bounds a person in his day to day life from achieving greatness. I am talking about a video that went viral on social media and for all the right reasons too. Uploaded on Twitter by @YoungBullBlade, the video shows his uncle standing in front of a basketball ring with a ball in his hands, in the family's backyard with his family members surrounding him with their cameras ready. So what was all the fuss about? Turns out the man was completely blind and it was his first attempt of trying to score a basket. With his nephews cheering him on, getting him hyped up about his first shot, this man looked ready to let that ball fly. “Shoot towards my voice, uncle. Right here. Right in front of you.” @YoungBullBlade said, to help his uncle get a sense of direction of where the ring was and without lingering on too much, the man released the ball which landed on the ring, hit the backboard and eventually sunk into the basket. At this point, the blind uncle found himself smiling ear to ear, surrounded by his family members jumping all around him, brimming with excitement and sheer love. My uncle blind y'all, and made a free throw on his first try pic.twitter.com/aHYSFmm9Ri — ä¹ã¥åáªä¹ ðª (@YoungBullBlade) May 28, 2019 And I know what you are thinking right now. “What's such a big deal with a blind man scoring a basket which is not even a part of competition?” To which I say this: It is not always about competing, or playing only to decide who wins or loses. Sure in the world we live in now, sports, like any other profession, has gotten itself an ugly face of aggression and ruthlessness but every once in a while, somewhere, in some corner of the world, something like this happens that reminds us of the true purpose of sports. Kudos to his family for making him feel so great about himself and allowing us the opportunity to get involved in celebrating his life
  7. It took approximately 4-5 hours for Deepika Padukone to get ready for the MET Gala or Ranveer Singh to decide his new, eccentric #OOTD. But, a nine-year old girl is recreating the same within just 45 minutes, and you know what her looks are made of? Waffles, garbage bags, broccoli, foil paper, etc. Basically, household items. Riley Dashwood is an Australian kid who does entertaining transformations and shares her views, her interpretations on Instagram of outfits worn by famous celebs, be it Bollywood or Hollywood. All her looks are planned in advance over the weekend with her parents. You will be mind-blown ahead! 1. Riley And Ranveer Singh, Who Wore It Better? © Instagram/Riley Dashwood Ranveer Singh has nailed the contemporary look in a black Bandhgala made with leaf motifs. Riley went ahead with a black tee and stuck golden leaves on it. She recreated Ranveer's beard on herself with a sketch pen. Is this even real? 2. Inspired By Lil Pump © Instagram/Riley Dashwood See those tattoos and that metallic chain on her, now who's the exact Lil Pump here? We are still guessing! 3. All The Veggie Lovers © Instagram/Riley Dashwood Riley didn't even leave the veggies in her refrigerator. Rather took them out and remade Nicki Minaj's green and white wig look. She used cauliflower, lettuce and broccoli for her hairstyle. 4. Take A Bow © Instagram/Riley Dashwood A garbage bag has never looked so chic on anyone, ever before. Look at Riley trying to work out Rihanna's oversized black jacket look. 5. 8. The good folks over at Tencent Games have been working hard to bring some of the most popular games to mobile phones. They first started off with PUBG Mobile, which turned out to be a staggering success. The company also worked with Activision to bring 'Call of Duty' to mobile phones. Now, if the new reports are anything to go by, then it looks like Tencent is working with its US unit Riot Games to develop a mobile version of 'League of Legends', the world's most popular game. That's right, it looks like you'll soon be able to play 'League of Legends' on your mobile phones, and it's a huge deal. © Riot Games According to Reuters, multiple sources have confirmed that the mobile version of 'League of Legends' is Tencent's next big project. In fact, the company is said to have been working on the game for over a year now. The sources noted that Riot Games had declined Tencent's proposal to make the mobile version of 'League of Legends' years ago, following which the developer made multiple similar offerings like 'Honour of Kings', 'Arena of Valor', etc. The 'Honour of Kings', in case you don't know, was launched back in 2015 and became the world's highest grossing multiplayer online battle arena game. © Riot Games 'League of Legends' is nearly ten-years-old and is said to be the most popular title with a long history. “'League of Legends' is like the World Cup, whereas 'Honour of Kings' is just the Asia Cup,” one of the sources said. Right now, we're not entirely sure when this mobile version of the game will launch. However, it'll most likely bring in more Asian players, who're known to play more mobile games over desktop or console. Needless to say, it'll also pour in more revenue. 'League of Legends' brought in $1.4 billion in revenue last year, which is just insane. Source: Reuters
  9. With less than 48 hours left for the finale of probably one of the most-watched TV shows in history, 'Game Of Thrones', a lot of fans are waiting with bated breath to see how it all comes to an end, however, the drama revolving around the gloomy dullness throughout this season seems to be like a looming threat for the final episode, and people are genuinely concerned. Multiple theories, many deaths and even a petition to remake the final season has been the mood throughout this month. But it seems like we are not alone in grieving over this disappointment, as the writer of the original book series himself, George RR Martin, also expressed that he wasn't too happy with how the show is ending. Twitter “The series has been… not completely faithful. Otherwise, it would have to run another five seasons. You know, it's complex. I'm a little sad, actually. I wish we had a few more seasons. It can also be… traumatic. Because sometimes their creative vision and your creative vision don't match, and you get the famous creative differences thing — that leads to a lot of conflict. You get totally extraneous things like the studio or the network weighing in, and they have some particular thing that has nothing to do with the story, but relates to 'well, this character has a very high Q Rating so let's give him a lot more stuff to do”, Martin said in an interview. The cast and crew were also a tad bit upset over some characters being killed off. The actor who plays Varys, Conleth Hill, expressed his dismay on how his character met his end. “I took it very personally. I took it as a person, not as an actor or an artist. I understood the reactions of previous actors who had been in the same position a lot more than I did at the time. You can't help feeling that you failed in some way, that you haven't lived up to some expectation that you didn't know about,” he said. HBO Well, love it or hate it, the ending is sealed and we shall witness the action the coming Monday morning.
  10. The next launch of a brand new iPhone is a few months away but a new patent has popped up that may give us a hint about a new feature. Ever since iPhone X was announced, Apple phased out the Touch ID biometric system in favour for an edge-to-edge design. We still got to see the feature on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. However, it was later replaced by FaceID on the iPhone XR. © Apple The iPhone XS and XS Max uses the same FaceID unlock system as its predecessor but a notable feature was missing. It seems like Apple is now looking to bring back TouchID according to the patent. The Cupertino giant is developing a fingerprint sensor that lets users unlock the smartphone by touching anywhere on the screen. The patent was granted to Apple earlier this week and was spotted by Patently Apple. © Patently Apple It would be a cool new feature if seen on the upcoming iPhone 11 and we have something similar to Apple's version developed by Vivo for a concept phone. The patent calls Apple's version as an "acoustic imaging system”. Another weird feature spotted in the same patent was the new sensor's ability to map a user's ear. The system would simply map your ear and unlock the smartphone for seamless call answering and other features. As usual, patents don't really translate to a final product every time and we would not keep our hopes high until its fully revealed or made official by Apple. We sincerely hope this feature does come to the iPhone 11 as many users still prefer to unlock smartphones with a fingerprint or at least want the option. Source: Patently Apple
  11. It's almost time for one of the biggest launches of the year and there's now a new leak which has nothing to do with the phone. Instead, we get to see everything that will be launching alongside the new OnePlus smartphones. The leaked images look more like the reviewer's box which includes everything from the smartphone to the accessories. © Twitter_Ishan Agarwal The leaked image gives us a glimpse of everything else OnePlus is planning to launch. At first glance, you see the OnePlus Wireless Bullets 2 which is rumoured to be a triple-driver Bluetooth earphone similar to what 1MORE makes. Apart from the wireless OnePlus bullets, the Chinese company is also looking to launch a Warp Charge 30 car charger. © Twitter_Linus Tech Tips The OnePlus 7 Pro also reveals that the in-car charger will be based on the Warp Charge 30 charger that was introduced with the McLaren edition of the OnePlus 6T. This also kind of confirms that the wall charger will be the same as the McLaren edition as well. © Twitter_Ishan Agarwal The leak of the images came from an accidental tweet by Linus Tech Tips and more were shared by Ishan Agarwal on Twitter. The images shared by Mr Agarwal show more details about the packaging; however, the actual device has not been pictured yet. The packaging has the 'Go Beyond Speed' tagline we've seen in previous rumours. However, the accessories in the box are what impressed us the most and we can't wait to check them out ourselves.
  12. A couple of weeks back, I attended one of India's biggest eSports event called ESL One. It was an amazing experience and I wrote all about it here. The ESL One event was backed by Intel, and I got to chat with a few Intel executives who were present at the event. At the event, I met Frank Soqui, VP & GM of Intel gaming, Lee Machen, GM of gaming sales at Intel, and Prakash Mallya, VP & MD, sales and marketing group Intel India. We had a great time discussing gaming, hardware, OEMs and more. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer One of the questions that popped up during our conversation was about the rise of cloud gaming services like Google Stadia in the market. Well, for those of you who don't know, cloud gaming services are just like your streaming services, but for games. These cloud game streaming services will essentially let you play any game on any compatible device, as long as you have a strong internet connection. Yes, it's a phenomenal idea, but the rise of these cloud game streaming services will only lead to the downfall of hardware makers like Intel. I mean, think about it. Who'd be interested in buying expensive chipsets and build a gaming rig, when one can simply stream the games over the internet without worrying about system requirements? © Reuters Well, to my surprise, Frank Soqui seemed pretty optimistic about the arrival of cloud gaming. According to him, cloud gaming is going to introduce a lot of people to gaming, which means more potential customers for Intel. “After getting a taste of cloud gaming, more people are going to want to upgrade their rig and step up their gaming experience at some point in the future”, said Frank. Further adding to this topic, Frank also noted that computers are not meant for just gaming, and there are a ton of other things you could on a PC like content creation, for instance. “It's still a multiple purpose device. It doesn't just play games. It's just that it can also play games really well among other things”, said Frank. © MensXP/ Karthik Iyer And then, there's the whole argument about enthusiast gamers not wanting to compromise on the gaming experience. I am pretty sure there are a lot of gamers who would be interested in getting the best experience, and they might not compromise by relying on cloud gaming solutions. So, is cloud gaming going to affect hardware makers like Intel or is it going to be a smooth sail like Frank says it will be? Well, I think it's too early gauge the success and adoption of cloud gaming. I am sure we'll have a lot more to discuss once these services reach at least the major markets.
  13. The atmosphere in the country is pretty charged at the moment, courtesy the ongoing 2019 General Elections, which have been unravelling in phases all across India. Elections in India happen to be a rather sensitive issue, even though most people would want you to believe otherwise. © Getty Images It has a very interesting way of segregating people on the basis of favourite (which are only a handful) politicians, favoured political ideologies, “promises” and what not. Let alone the verbal crusades that are carried out on national television every night, elections have the power of creating a divide on dinner tables, and provoking long lost relatives to resurface of the family WhatsApp group with all guns blazing. © Getty Images And that is not all. It will not even spare your friends, who on most other situations stick to you like that college backlog which simply wouldn't give way. Many friendships have come in the line of fire when it comes to sticking to our guns and proving our loyalty towards a certain political party we approve of, much against the better(or rather differing) suggestion of our dear buddies. © Getty Images Recently, a photo of a few friends travelling in a car, bearing different party flags went viral on social media. The photograph shows a bunch of youngsters sitting together in the car and the boot of a car, who hit the roads bearing party flags of Congress, CPI(M) and the BJP with broad smiles on their faces. The picture was widely shared across all social media platforms because of a simple message it sent out to every onlooker. That, regardless of the mini, semi-aggressive political discussions we end up indulging in every now and then, there is still a bigger scope of peacefully existence with people and friends with conflicting political inclinations. © Getty Images It is proof that it is simply not worth it to allow political differences to come in the way of valuable friendships. Let us celebrate the democracy that we live in by respecting one another's political choices, whether we agree with them or not. Let's have more of those healthy (and much-needed) political arguments with each other that always help us gain insights, and thereby make more aware decisions. © Reuters But most importantly, let us all head out to vote together and do our heart's bidding anyway. The right to vote is one of our biggest means of getting heard by those who shall eventually hold positions of power by becoming our representatives. What we do that day holds the power to decide the fate of not only the country but our personal futures too. © Reuters But regardless of the political ideologies we choose to align with, or the differences we fight on with our buddies, let us cherish those friendships and keep politics and elections from getting in the way of all the good times gone by, and yet to come. And those young men have just showed us how that is supposed to be done, and virally so. What do you guys say?
  14. This world is an interesting place to be. But it's made all the more fascinating by the people and what goes on in that wonderful mind of theirs. For those of us who are willing to try, we end up fishing out the magical key that is capable of taking something completely “insignificant” thought and turn it into a living-breathing passion project that's capable of fuelling a thousand dreams. To be able to create an empire out of nothing, and delivering innumerable hopes are just some of the few things that make the new age man so different from most of his predecessors, who were too caught up in following the legacies and being a man by the books. But today, men have come a long way, breaking the shackles that bind their minds, and societal diktats that push them into gender binaries. They have redefined “manhood” in their own terms and given birth to what we at MensXP call the “newhood”. Make Way For Times Prime Presents MensXP 'Icons Of Newhood' In keeping with this quest to redefine the age-old concept of manhood, we are making further headway in this direction with an unprecedented night of celebrations called Times Prime presents MensXP 'Icons of Newhood', which aims to celebrate the pioneers of newhood. The celebrations will be held on 4th May, 2019 at The Lalit, New Delhi and shall be attended by some uber special guests from around town. 15. Considered to be one of the greatest talents to have ever placed his foot inside the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ring, Phillip Jack Brooks aka CM Punk made a comeback to pro wrestling five years later since bidding adieu to the business in 2014. However, it was the way in which the former ECW superstar made his comeback to the sport that was unexpected. While a lot of his fans had hoped for the 'Straight-Edge' wrestler's return to wrestling with WWE, Punk decided to make it a smaller affair. To get you on pace with the story, in an MKE Wrestling event called 'The Last Knight' on Friday, a masked man interfered with one of the fights of the evening and hit one of the wrestlers with CM Punk's signature move, the 'Go To Sleep' or the GTS, kneeing him in the head. CM Punk Returned to pro wrestling and this was his big return 𤣠wow ð® CM Punk! CM Punk! #wwe #aew #cmpunk pic.twitter.com/DQc6fR1IvY — Mr. Extra™ï¸ (@WWEMrExtra) April 21, 2019 What made the fans believe that the mystery man want indeed CM Punk was the hoodie he was wearing at the time of the “assault” because earlier in the day, Punk was seen wearing a similar hoodie while attending a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the neighbourhood. While the star has neither confirmed nor denied the theory, Wrestling Inc., a well-renowned wrestling news site has shown credibility to it. According to the site, plans were made for Punk to take off his mask after the attack but the star apparently decided otherwise at the last moment. After the self-proclaimed “best in the world” had left Vince McMahon's company in pursuit of a career in MMA he had said that if he were to return to pro wrestling, it would not be on a big stage like WWE of Japan's Ring of Honor (RoH) but a smaller more localised organization. CM Punk is the kind of guy who has the charisma of a champion and a fan following big enough to make any wrestling show draw in major sponsors and make it a big hit. If he is indeed back to the wrestling business, all of us are in for a treat.
  16. Ranveer Singh clearly has a weakness for the good ol' handlebar moustache, even though he can pull off any kind of facial hair. Honestly, we don't blame him because that is probably the most iconic facial hair style ever, and most Indian men would agree. However, it is not easy to grow a handlebar, and the popular belief is that it takes ages to grow one. However, we disagree, and here, we are sharing the best way to grow a handlebar moustache in a few weeks, just like Ranveer Singh: 1. Use a good beard and moustache oil. Oil is like food for hair follicles, and a regular application will boost their growth. You will see a difference soon. © Instagram/Ranveersingh 2. Don't wash your beard and moustache too often, because it will rob it of the essential moisture. However, that does not mean you have to leave your facial hair greasy and dirty. Use a good beard and moustache wash, and wash it thoroughly 2-3 times in a week. © Instagram/Ranveersingh 3. The most important part is to be patient. Wait for the hair to grow. To stimulate growth, eat a lot of protein, and have a healthy diet. Brush your beard and moustache regularly, to facilitate blood circulation in the area. © Instagram/Ranveersingh 4. The final step is to start using a good wax after a few days. As soon as you start noticing some growth, start twisting the moustache in your desired shape and use the wax. Your moustache will take the shape soon, and you will get your desired handlebar moustache in a matter of weeks.
  17. For someone who enjoyed a sensational run last season, KL Rahul might have taken his time, but he is surely getting into the groove in the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-handed batsman smashed an unbeaten 53-ball 71 to power Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) to a six-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium on 8th April. Chasing a paltry total of 150 runs, the dashing opener looked in ominous touch while playing beautiful strokes early on. While his opening partner Chris Gayle couldn't score more than 16 runs, Rahul appeared solid in his approach and carried the baton for his side till the very end. Twitter/@IPL The 26-year-old stitched a match-winning partnership of 114 runs for the second wicket alongside Mayank Agarwal who gave adequate support to his partner during his 43-ball 55. Their partnership was eventually broken by Sandeep Sharma following a poor shot selection by Mayank. And, the quick dismissals of David Miller (1) and Mandeep Singh (2) gave a glimmer of hope to the visiting side. But, Rahul made sure there were no hiccups as he got Punjab over the line. Rahul's brilliant batting display meant that David Warner's pivotal knock of 70 runs went in vain as Hyderabad paid dearly for their mediocre batting and lacklustre bowling in Chandigarh. Twitter/@IPL Having begun the tournament with lowly individual scores of 4 and 1, Rahul seems to be getting his mojo back as he slammed three fifties in his next four innings (71*, 15, 55, 71*). The KXIP opener has now amassed 217 runs at a strike-rate of over 120 in six games he has played so far. He has also secured the third spot in the race for the 'Orange Cap' behind Hyderabad's dynamic openers Jonny Bairstow (263) and Warner (349).
  18. 'Love, Death & Robots' is the kind of show that introduces you to an itch you didn't know needed to be scratched. The 18 episode long NSFW anthology is the perfect show for adults with a dark sense of humour, with an adequate thirst for gore and distressing content to go with it. (No wonder they put up 'This film is for messed up audiences' right at the beginning of the trailer.) As soon as we saw the trailer, we were sweating from all the excitement, because this one screamed 'Black Mirror' because of its weird, dark, futuristic demeanour - only cooler because of all the super edgy animation. Well get ready for that myth to be busted, and how. LDR probably is the goriest show you have ever watched till now - when it comes to animated content (probably apart from 'Happy Tree Friends'.) View this post on Instagram A post shared by Love Death + Robots (@lovedeathandrobots) on Feb 25, 2019 at 12:08am PST Another distinguishing feature of the series is the sheer variety of animation it entails. Right from the edgy Japanese style to the unbelievably realistic style of animation that you won't believe isn't real, LDR has it all, and it's an absolute visual treat. The *** scene in 'Beyond The Aquila Rift' legit looks like a clip from an adult movie, and the psychedelic hyper-reality in 'Fish Night' is mind-numbingly beautiful. For example, the ending of 'Sonnie's Edge' - the one with the fighting pit with genetically engineered monsters that are controlled by fighters - can be the start of a whole new story. The same holds true for 'Three Robots' - an edgier version of 'Wall E' in a post-apocalyptic, dystopian world. The best thing about 'Love, Death, and Robots', however, is its runtime. All the episodes range from 6 to 18 minutes, which makes it a super crisp and easy watch. You can literally binge the entire thing in a day, and not feel dead afterwards. Your brain, however, will take weeks to recover from the madness.
  19. Spritzing perfume might seem easy. You just have to pump the bottle twice, right? Well, sorry to disappoint you, but no. You must have wondered why the fume doesn't last long and you need to wear it again and again throughout the day to smell fresh. But, what if you don't have the time? Here's what you should keep in mind while spraying perfume on to ensure it stays on for a long time: 1. Rubbing Kills The Fume © purplle That faulty application habit—pumping scent on the wrists and then pressing them together and against your neck is what creates friction that heats up the skin, which produces natural enzymes that switch the course of the scent. This affects the notes that quickly die down, far from making them distinctive. Do it right: Spritz on your wrists, wait for the liquid to sink in and don't rub your wrists against anything after. 2. Keep It In A Storage Box At Room Temperature For storing your fume, you need to factor in the detail that liquid fragrances are extremely fragile to environmental changes. Perfumes get ruined in cold to hot temperatures that make them age faster. 3. Buy Them In Small Bottles © Getty Images Perfumes should be consumed quickly. Storing a half-used bottle unused perfume on your shelf allows oxygen to break down the scent's molecules, altering its composition. 4. Lathering With A Moisturizer Helps A few hacks can carry a scent a long way. Fragrances don't last long on dry skin. You could accompany body lotion with your fragrance. The fact of the matter is that where you wear the perfume also matters. Here are the best perfumes in that market that you should know about: 1. Bleu De Chanel © purplle With citrus and woody notes, this fragrance is deep, fresh, intense, and vibrant at the same time. 2. Prada L'Homme © purplle Debuted in 2016, it's dominantly floral with prominent hints of wood, amber, and spice notes to round things up. 3. Dior Sauvage © purplle With contrasting notes of bergamot and pepper, followed by floral, amber, vanilla, and cedar for a strong but well-rounded finish. It's one of the long lasting fumes 4.Ralph Lauren Polo © purplle A heavy scent: tobacco, pine, oakmoss, and patchouli make it a Winter staple and a fume that you could rely on. 5. Calvin Klein Obsession © purplle Packed in a sensual bottle, the perfume has notes of cinnamon, amber, sandalwood, myrrh, musk, and vanilla. Obsession leaves a lasting impression. 6. Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme © purplle With notes of yuzu fruit, lemon, blue lotus, and vetiver, it's like an uplifting traditional Japanese tea for a warm experience. 7. Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male © Getty Images The soft tones of mint, lavender, and orange blossom, juxtaposed against vanilla, cinnamon, and amber. 8. Hermès Terre d'Hermès © purplle Terre D'Hermès has notes of orange, pepper, cedar, grapefruit, and vetiver. 20. We've often heard stories of ambulance vans getting stuck in traffic or finding it difficult to pass through a busy road. Imagine, what will happen when an ambulance has to pass through a narrow street where hundreds of people are dancing in a festival. Amid the loud beats of music on a street which is overcrowded with people, the shortest time an ambulance can take is probably an hour or two, right? Turns out it only takes seconds if there is right coordination, and the people of Kerala are here to teach us how. In a minute-long video, people who were dancing on the streets can be seen parting quickly in order to make way for the ambulance. This video was taken during the Mannarkkad Pooram festival, which is said to be one of the oldest temple festivals in Kerala. This process looked so seamless that it is now winning people's hearts and going viral for all the right reasons. 21. Over the years we have come to think of Ajay Devgn as being synonymous to Bollywood's most sought-after action hero. Sure, Akshay Kumar is also a leading name in the category, but when it comes to someone who has been acing each and every role in this category, we can only think of Devgn. Ajay made the entire country eat out of his hands when he first graced the screen as Bajirao Singham, the righteous and daring cop who would go to the end of this world to bring the culprits to justice. The film is reportedly based on true incidents, wherein Ajay will be seen essaying the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who was in charge of the Bhuj airport during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. The airstrip was destroyed by Pakistani air strikes and Karnik mobilised 300 local women to rebuild it for the Indian Air Force aircrafts to make a safe landing. Talking to the media he said, “We were fighting a war and if there had been any casualties of any of these women, it would have been a great loss. But I took the decision and it worked out. I had briefed them where they could take shelter if attacked and they followed it bravely. Also, I could only see Ajay Devgn essaying my character and I'm glad that he's on board.” We can't wait for this one.
  22. This is a universal fact - you can count on the Sikh community anywhere and everywhere to help you when needed. We've seen it every single time any tragedy occurs in part of the world. After the horrific terrorist attack in Christchurch where a gunman opened fire in two mosques, taking the lives of 49 people and injuring 40 other, the entire world mourned the loss and prayed for the speedy recovery of the victims. Everyone is condemning the horrific attack and the Sikh community, like always, is out there helping out those in need. Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen, an NGO, asked people to come forward and help the Muslim community and everyone in need. Obviously, no one disappointed. What a great message and it's honestly so great to see every community so willing to help out one another when in need. I say this every time, but it sucks that a tragedy unites everyone, but at least, everyone forgets differences and comes together in dark times. They shared another update about how they got so much responses and volunteers. Guru Nanak's Free Kitchen was started in 2007 when a group of like-minded people came together to give back and help the community in any way needed.
  23. Ever since the kick-off of the Round 16 matchup of the UEFA Champions League between Juventus and Atletico Madrid, Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo looked dialled in, prepared to put the team on his shoulders and bring home the victory. However, winning the game by one of two goals was not enough for Juventus to make it any further in the UCL as Los Rojiblancos were leading the Italians by two goals on aggregate. This meant that Juve needed at least three goals within 95 minutes of game-time in order to proceed to the quarterfinals. “No Problem,” said the five-time FIFA Ballon d'Or holder as he single-handedly dismantled his opponents scoring twice with beautiful headers in the first half and a penalty in the final minutes of the game, thus completing his hat-trick and providing his club with the ideal victory they could have asked for. It is therefore understandable that emotions were flowing throughout the athletes who dominated a rival they once lost to in the most disappointing fashion not too long ago. However, the man of the hour, Ronaldo himself, might have let these emotions get the better of him as he celebrated his final score in a way that was, let's just say, not suitable for his more younger fans. What Diego Simeone can do, Cristiano Ronaldo can do better ð#JuveAtleti pic.twitter.com/O7jEJZDBjI — CRonaldoDaily.com (@BreatheRonaldo) March 12, 2019 Apparently, the reason behind such an animated way of expressing his success was that Ronaldo was mocking Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone who'd celebrated in a similar manner when his team beat Juve 2-0 in the first leg. The fact that the footballer's little boys and girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez were present at the venue at the time of the celebration just made things a lot worse. When asked about how he felt about Ronaldo's avenging celebration, Simeone told Sky Italia: 'Ronaldo is the best in the world, he can put in these performances on big nights. He will have seen how I did it at the Wanda Metropolitano and, like me, was trying to show his character.' What has come to be known as the 'Cojones' celebration (translate at your own risk), the Argentine coach was fined £17,000 by UEFA back then. It has been less than a month since the unfortunate terror attack backed by the terrorist group, Jaish-e-Mohammed, enraged the entire nation as it claimed the lives of more than 40 brave CRPF jawans in the most gruesome manner with their children orphaned and their wives widowed in an instant. The whole country has been in mourning and have been trying to show their love and respect for the brave soldiers and their families however they can. The Indian cricket team did their best to do the same last week when former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni distributed camouflage caps with the symbol of Indian cricket at the centre, ahead of the third ODI against Australia in his hometown of Ranchi. The Men in Blue donned the unusual-looking caps the entire game in order to honour the martyrs of the infamous attack. #TeamIndia will be sporting camouflage caps today as mark of tribute to the loss of lives in Pulwama terror attack and the armed forces And to encourage countrymen to donate to the National Defence Fund for taking care of the education of the dependents of the martyrs #JaiHind pic.twitter.com/fvFxHG20vi — BCCI (@BCCI) March 8, 2019 "#TeamIndia will be sporting camouflage caps today as mark of tribute to the loss of lives in Pulwama terror attack and the armed forces. And to encourage countrymen to donate to the National Defence Fund for taking care of the education of the dependents of the martyrs #JaiHind," the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) tweeted ahead of the match. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board strongly feels these actions taken by MSD and the BCCI are wrong and have led to a loss of credibility in the cricketing world. PCB chairman Ehsan Mani said he has "strongly taken up the matter with the ICC." "There's absolutely no misunderstanding in the ICC about our position," Mani said in a press conference last weekend in Karachi. "We believe that cricket and sports should not be used for politics and we have said this very clearly. Their [India] credibility in the cricketing world has gone down very badly." That's not all as the Pakistan Information ministry, held by Fawad Chaudhry, even urged the International Cricket Council to ban BCCI and the Men in Blue from international cricket for combining sports and politics. As a response to the bold statements by the PCB, ICC spokesperson Claire Furlong let The Associated Press know about their stand on the whole issue via email. "The BCCI sought permission from the ICC to wear the caps as part of a fundraising drive and in memory of fallen soldiers who have died, which was granted," she wrote. Now, we agree that sports and politics should be kept miles away from each other. Over the years there have been numerous incidents where politicising a game or an athletic meet has led to adverse results for the sporting world. But the BCCI's idea to pay homage to the nation's brave soldiers cannot be deemed as politically motivated. Athletes wearing camouflage caps is in no way trying to demean or insult the cricketers of our neighbours, nor were we trying to get some kind of upper hand in the international scenario against the PCB.
  25. In 1999, Sooraj Barjatya came up with 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', a movie that gave us the iconic song 'ABCDEFGHI...I LOVE YOU' (is it just me or you too sang this while reading it), and gave Salman Khan a bag full of controversies. Now, after a decade, people are going crazy over 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' once again for the most hilariously relatable reason. After a hiatus of 5 years, the Jonas Brothers are back in business and have released their latest song 'Sucker', which also features their respective partners Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas. While 'Sucker' is a huge hit globally and has already garnered over 33 million views in 48 hours, in India, the song ended up making 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' trend, as people couldn't help but draw funny comparisons between the two. Jonas Brothers While most of us were busy laughing on the joke, someone actually went ahead and created a parody video that will leave you in splits.
