  1. We can call Varun Dhawan the most bankable B-town celebrity. A quick look at his style and you would see that he has the most-sought, fuss-free fashion game. Be it for the promotions or at the airport, Varun's wardrobe is what every guy would love to have too. We have to give to his stylists, Priyanka & Kazim AKA The Vainglorious who create every look with ease and total finesse. © Viral Bhayani The latest instance made us fall in love with his style a bit more. Varun slayed the casual outfit like never before as he was seen elevating his debonair with ripped shorts coupled with long black boots. He pulled it off quite effortlessly but wearing shorts with boots is unbelievably the best thing we have seen today. View this post on Instagram ðµHey-hey-hey-hey Beware of the Diamond Dogsðµ Tee - @Botter_Paris Shoes - @RepresentClo from @UJ_NG Sunglasses - @Balenciaga Assisted by @shradhapamnani @priyanka2.0 #VarunDhawan #BenjiAndKenzo #StreetDancer #Botter #Represent #Balenciaga #Bottermania #Wrestlemania #PunkRockOrBretHart #DavidBowie #DiamondDogs A post shared by Priyanka & Kazim (@the.vainglorious) on Jan 12, 2020 at 10:03pm PST © Viral Bhayani Shorts are a casual essential. In addition to that, a pair of long, patent leather boots can instantly change its appearance. It lends a unique aesthetic to any ensemble. You can easily dress up for any causal event since these boots are super versatile and fashionable. At first, boots and shorts combination might seem odd to you, but when you couple it with the right sort of colours, an ultra-stylish repertoire is just a step away! © Viral Bhayani One of the easiest ways to wear a pair of shorts would be with a T-shirt. Varun rather took an unconventional route and teamed the ripped shorts with a quirky graphic tee and layered it with a leather jacket. This is truly a masterstroke and adds more to the laid-back feel of this look. © Viral Bhayani At the moment, Varun is promoting his upcoming movie Street Dancer 3D starring Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhu Deva. It's all set to release on 24th January 2020. The overall ensemble has a sleek edge to it and is definitely a fail-safe way to team shorts and boots together. This is really well put, Varun. Kudos to you! View the full article
  2. We sometimes find many relationship habits unhealthy and try to quit it, though some habits just make our lives and relationships easier. Being in a toxic relationship is not a good idea but falsely accusing your relationship as being toxic is also a dumb thing to do. We are not asking you to stay in a relationship if you're unhappy but at times we need to find the thin line between toxic and 'tolerable'. So, here is a list of five habits in a relationship that we think are toxic but will actually help your relationship go a long way- 1. Letting Go Of Conflicts At Times © Dharma Productions People focus on resolving every argument when in a relationship but at times it's healthier to let go of some fights. Some conflicts are un-resolvable and fighting upon them are only going to make things worse. So, just keep in mind that some battles are not worth fighting for and save your relationship by avoiding conflicts. 2. Feeling Attracted To Other People © Dharma Productions We want to be attracted to our partner all the time but that's biologically not possible. You need to accept that you might feel attracted to other people and that's okay. It doesn't mean that you're falling out of love with your partner but just admire someone else apart from them for their qualities. Acting upon our attraction or liking is in our hand and our actions are responsible for making or breaking a relationship, as attractions are mostly temporary and love is real. 3. Spending Time Apart © Dharma Productions It's always better to do what you want to do rather than focusing on your partner all the time. Valuing your relationship is important but moving ahead in your life and fulfilling your dreams is equally important. It's important to give space in a relationship as it only makes the bond stronger. Spending time apart also makes you regain the lost spark in a relationship. 4. Accepting Each Other's Flaws © Dharma Productions No one is perfect and as soon as we accept each other's flaws the better the relationship is going to be. You need to like and accept each other for who they are then decide for yourself if you really want to be with them. Somewhere or the other we have to settle as no human being is perfect. 5. Unintentionally Hurting Each Other © Dharma Productions When in a relationship, we do things at times that the other person might not like or get hurt due to it. Sometimes they get hurt and sometimes we get hurt. The bottomline is to not pretend that you're happy and express if you're hurt as it is okay to be hurt. Your honest opinion is only going to make things easier for both of you. View the full article
  3. KARACHI: One particular vendor at the Karachi East 2020 came all the way from Texas to help his friend try selling sumptuous cookies to Karachiites. Speaking to Geo.tv, Ahsan Patoli said he had come all the way from Texas to help his friend Sheza Qureshi set up the Pink Beans' stall at the Karachi East festival. In response to a question, Patoli said a big crowd had turned up at the festival. "We had some electricity problems at the stall but they were fixed real quick," he said. "A lot of people have come here so it turned out pretty well." Sheza spoke to Geo.tv and said it had been a wonderful experience for her. "It [the experience at the event] is better than expected," she said. "Honestly, I was very scared. The response has been very good." Sheza said among all her items, people bought Tres Leches in cups and Nutella stuffed cookies the most. "Our stall is mainly about cookies. Those are my main items," she concluded.
  4. While India is grappling with communal turmoil to some extent, there is always a beaming ray of hope that this mosque in Kerala is trying to show to people around the country. While many fear India's secular fabric is under threat, this Kerala Mosque has opened its gate and coffers for a Hindu wedding, to help out a couple from a financially poor background. Anju and Sharath Sasi, a Hindu couple, will get married between 11.30am and 12.30pm on January 19 at the Cheruvally Muslim Jamaat Mosque in Kayamkulam, Alappuzha district. The Mosque compound will have a Shamyana made for the wedding and will prepare a vegetarian meal (Sadya) for about 1,000 guests. © Youtube “Since there's a tradition of wedding gifts in this area, we will sponsor Rs 2 lakh in cash for the groom and gold jewellery for the bride,” mosque secretary Nujumuddin Alummoottil told a popular publication in an interview. The secretary also mentioned that he didn't want this affair to get too much publicity but unfortunately the wedding invite somehow got shared online and the Malyalam media were the first to approach him. The mother of the bride, Bindu, who lives in a rented house near the mosque, had been struggling to raise three children since the death of her husband Ashokan in 2018. A person associated with the mosque told Bindu to approach them since she had no money for her daughter's wedding. “Her husband, a goldsmith, died of cardiac arrest after dropping their youngest son at his exam centre for his Class X boards. That tragedy shook the family, with the two elder girls including Anju giving up studies after Plus II,” the secretary added. The matter of helping the family in this crisis was presented to the committee and about 10,000 people who had come to pray on the first Friday of November, agreed to help the family synonymously. “I should say all the 10,000 people who had come to pray agreed that we should help the family,” the secretary added. Anju's mother then found the groom in the next two weeks and informed the mosque committee so they could commence with the preparations to get them married in peace. “I have helped many people on many occasions. But I have never felt this kind of satisfaction,” Alummoottil who owns a 'wedding centre', said in an interview. © Twitter The marriage ceremony of Sarath Sasi and Anju is going to take place on the 19th of January, 2020, between 11:30am and 12:30 pm, inside mosque premises, where their family members and the members of the mosque will attend the procession. Alummoottil, the mosque secretary now wants to launch 'communal amity homes', which are going to be blocks of three houses, one each for financially weaker sections of the Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities. He believes this housing project will get a lot of community support. Well, in today's day and age we need more people like Alummoottil, who believe in religious unity and secularity, when the entire country is fighting to maintain its secular ground. We truly hope Anju and Sarath Sasi's wedding goes as planned and Alummoottil gets to help all religious communities through the Mosque. View the full article
  5. Realme is following the footpaths of Xiaomi by introducing advertisements on their smartphones. This move may have come to offset the cost of offering affordable smartphones to capture market share in India. Having advertisements on your smartphone's UI can be annoying but thankfully, there is a way to turn them off on Realme phones. © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla The advertisements on Realme phones will be a part of ColorOS6 and probably ColorOS 7 once it rolls out. The advertisement feature is carefully worded as the company describes it as "commercial content recommendation”, where it will promote applications and commercial links. These advertisements will appear in the Phone Manager app and the Security Check pop-up after installing a new application. The announcement for ColorOS6 to display ads was announced via a post on Realme official forum. Having said that, Realme has given the option to their users to turn off these recommendations and advertisements on ColorOS. The recommendations can be turned off by going to Settings> Additional Settings > Get Recommendations and turn off "Receive app and content recommendations in system apps.” © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Realme will have the recommendations on by default and it has to be turned off manually by following the above steps. As of now, this is the only way to disable advertisements while using Realme phones in India. An alternative way to disable the ads is by setting up the phone for a different region which also works for Xiaomi phones. As of now, Realme phones only support advertisements for a few regions and you can try to set up your new Realme phone in a different region to avoid these advertisements. View the full article
  6. Mobile apps have shaped the way we live our lives today. I've used that phrase far too many times in the last couple of years. People tell me I say that a lot because I am a tech geek and happen to use a lot more apps than others in my social circles. But that's not really the case. I say that because apps have truly changed the way we live our lives. And it's not an exaggeration. Just think about the speed at which we can get things done today. The reach of these apps extends far beyond just basic communication. When was the last time you called up a number to order food? The same goes for commutes and countless other aspects of our lives. Whether it's changed our lives for better or worse is beyond the scope of this piece, but I am going to try my best and list out the apps that have truly changed the way we live today - Note: The below list represents apps in no particular order. Facebook - An Eye-Opening Scandal © Reuters Facebook's image has been on the decline of late, especially after the Cambridge Analytica scandal. That is, however, one of the main reasons why it's here on this list. That incident, as unfortunate as it was, truly changed the way people started looking at privacy. How many of you even bothered looking at the apps and services using your Facebook login details prior to the Cambridge Analytica scandal? So, as weird as it may sound, I am glad that the incident ended up being an eye-opener for people, making them take control of their data beyond just Facebook. © Reuters By the way, Facebook also has over 2.45 billion monthly active users, which is a number that seems to remain unaffected come what may. And that's how Facebook changed the way we live our lives. Controversial? Yes. But the events that happened in the last couple of years have been nothing short of eye-opening. Google - "Just Google It!" © Reuters The immediate need for information is essential to keep up with our fast-paced life. Be it news, finding areas of interest around you, etc., everything is just a simple Google search away! "Just Google it" is a phrase that we all hear or use at least once every day, don't we? The constant sense of urgency to find information truly blew up Google and its other services in a way we wouldn't have imagined as we entered this decade. WhatsApp - Instant Communication Thanks to the power of the internet, it's easier to communicate with someone now than ever before. It's comforting to know that your loved ones are just a WhatsApp text away from you. Having instant communication at our fingertips has opened up so many avenues that we're not just limited to a text message now on WhatsApp. You can call someone, both video and audio calls, share your life moments as stories or broadcast an SOS message in an instant or even call an entire WhatsApp group. © Reuters If someone would have told me that I won't be topping up SMS packs on my number for texting someone, a decade ago, I would've laughed. And it's not just WhatsApp that's changing the game here. Other IM (Instant Messaging) apps like Facebook Messenger, Telegram, etc. have also made a mark. Uber - Marking the end of Taxis On Call since 2010 Uber is one of those apps, which I am sure a lot of you reading this piece use on a daily basis. It's either Uber or some other app of your choice, but let's face it, it was Uber that truly changed the game. Uber is such a simple app that it's almost easy to forget how useful it really is. © Reuters The fact that it's so easy to use is what makes it so great. Dial in the fact that it calculates the distance to your destination, charges you according to the trip, and even offers safety features while on a ride and you have a great app. Don't get me wrong, it's far from being perfect, but I truly believe that it's one of the well put-together apps out there. If you're not using it, then you must get on it right now! Zomato, Swiggy & Other Food Delivery Apps Different people use different apps to get their food delivered, which truly picked up within the last couple of years and how. Being able to rely on an app for our meals shows how technology has improved over the years. That's it, there's no other possible way to put it. Paytm - Indian Demonetization Debacle © Reuters In India, financial apps picked up in a big way after demonetization and Paytm stepped in to save the day. Using an app to pay for even basic things like a cup of tea, made more sense than standing in queue to withdraw money from an ATM. Paytm cashed in big time on demonetization, doubling the number of users. Tinder - Swipe, Swipe, Swipe! Tinder might not have been so popular back in 2012 when it came out, but it's probably one of those apps which people download first on a new smartphone. The way youngsters look at relationships and dating has truly changed in the last decade and Tinder has played a vital role in that. Millions of people are probably swiping right now as you read this and it goes on to show how Tinder has digitized dating. We're probably not far away from a How I Met Your Mother story that involves Tinder. There, I said it! Pokemon Go! © Reuters Yes, a lot of people hate playing video games on their phones, but I had to mention Pokemon Go! Pokemon Go is different. Back in 2016, Pokemon Go was a force to be reckoned with. It was the first time I saw hoards of people gathering at random spots to catch 'em all! Pokemon Go was the first to foray into many things, and not just augmented reality. After becoming the most downloaded app in 2016, it's still topping the charts as one of the most popular mobile games of all times. I am sure there are a lot of other apps that I may not have included. For instance, music streaming saw a significant surge this decade, and so did productivity apps that helped us organise our work better. But at the end of the day, looking back at all the apps that were released in the last 10 years isn't an easy task, so we'd like to hear from you. Make sure you comment with your favorite apps and tell us how it changed your life in a meaningful way this decade. View the full article
  7. Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia AKA Bad Boy Badshah is a rap God of India. But if there's one more thing that's striking about him, it has to be his distinctly cool fashion sense. He is a fanatic of sneakers and hoodies that he mostly hoards from luxury brands like Balenciaga, Gucci, Miu Miu etc. His innate sense of style is usually amped up with one element that never goes unnoticed. © Viral Bhayani His airport looks are mostly a mix of easy-to-wear silhouettes. Think relaxed shorts and oversized hoodie that instantly grab our attention. This time, he rather elevated his look with a bright orange belt bag. Mostly, we see celebrities accessorising their outfits with sunglasses or sassy caps, but this particular belt bag is quite head-turning and definitely an uber-cool option for the airport. © Viral Bhayani We have seen him tagging his colour changing bag or expensive backpack but this fanny pack is quite eye-catching. Badshah is carrying Heron Preston's Orange Fanny Pack. While on the move, this bag is an essential as it lets you stow all the essentials in one place. Furthermore, it boasts hues of camouflage and has a relaxed vibe to it. It is injected with fun graphics and zingy orange accents which makes this bag brighter than the usual options. © Heron Preston © Viral Bhayani This utilitarian style is priced at Rs. 24,000 as per Endclothing website. This excludes import duties and customs that you would pay for it. © Viral Bhayani His outfit, on the other hand, looked very relaxed in a black hoodie and Adidas shorts. The chunky sneakers with the fanny pack definitely added more oomph factor to his look. All in all, we have to say that this look is as 'Trippy' as his songs and we are totally diggin' it. 8. The most iconic show to hit our screens ended with a lot of disappointment this year. Yes, I am talking about Game of Thrones, and its season 8, which left us in a state of anger and confusion. So much so, that fans leveraged petitions for the season to be re-made, while they called out the writers David Benioff and DB Weiss for actually killing major character arcs ordinarily, towards the end and writing off powerful women characters, without giving their characters due justice or proper closure. © HBO Now Peter Dinklage, also known as Tyrion Lannister in the show, has come forward and spoken about how Daenerys' actual fate was always hinted to its audience from the beginning and we should have actually picked up on those 'signposts'. The character of Daenerys Targaryen goes from absolute naivety to a woman unleashing her fury on the world, ultimately ending with her demise. The slow twist of the dark turn of character simply put Benioff and Wiess in a lot of controversy for showing women characters poorly in the show. In an interview with The New Yorker, 50-year-old Dinklage claims that he understands that people loved Danny's character played by Emilia Clarke, but also said since the beginning, the show's plot line always hinted at where Daenerys' character was eventually heading. In the interview he stated: "Well, everybody's always going to have an opinion, and that means an ownership. It's like breaking up with somebody. They get upset. I can't speak for everybody, but my feeling is they didn't want it to end, so a lot of people got angry. I feel like what Dave and Dan did was extraordinary. This happens. Monsters are created. And you don't see it coming. We vote them into office. You look the other way. So for everybody to get upset because they loved a character so much and they had so much faith in that person there were signposts along the way for that character." © HBO He also added the fact that Daenerys transformation from a 'righteous leader', to a 'powerful autocrat' was happening all along and everyone should have noticed the transition. "It added up to something. There are people who've named their children Khaleesi. You've just got to maybe wait till the series finale before you get that tattoo or name your golden retriever Daenerys! I can't help you! I'm sorry. She went mad. She was driven to that, and she's a victim as well in terms of how she was treated. She went through it, and she came out angry, as a lot of us do," he added further to the interview. © HBO Well, he is right about naming your dogs and babies on an impulse, when a TV show character is still being built. A lot of people named their girls and their dogs Khaleesi and well, Khaleesi met her unfortunate fate. Well, obviously this isn't mirroring the fate of people and dogs who're named the same but maybe having a bit of patience to see how the character unravels can help you naming your loved ones better. Although, Khaleesi aka Daenerys was a fearless ruler, her character arc did take an unfortunate turn towards the end. View the full article
  9. In a world filled with 7.7 billion unique individuals, it is a feat to be named amongst the most powerful people around. 10. Karan Johar recently opened up about how Bollywood industry has evolved in terms of the depiction of sexuality in films. Speaking at an event in context with his much-awaited upcoming film, Dostana 2, the filmmaker said that it will treat the topic of sexuality with utmost sensitivity. Dostana 2 is a sequel of the 2008 film Dostana, and features Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya among others in significant roles. The 47-year-old filmmaker was speaking at 'We The Women' curated by Barkha Dutt and he said, “Dostana was caricaturish, even in a cinema that I had produced but today I wouldn't do that. The evolution is from one Dostana to the other. Dostana one that was released in 2008 and the Dostana 2 that's releasing in 2020, you will see that the representation is accurate, non-caricaturish and on point, talking about sexuality in a way that will not make you cringe while watching it.” He added, “So therein lies the fact that in the last 12 years, there has been a solid change in the way we depict gay characters. Even in Kapoor & Sons and the way it was depicted.” View this post on Instagram For #wethewomen today!! In the oversized silhouette of @Gucci styled by @nikitajaisinghani ð· @rahuljhangiani A post shared by Karan Johar (@karanjohar) on Nov 30, 2019 at 11:53pm PST In addition to that, at the session titled 'Ten things men must change about Bollywood' KJo was was also asked about his opinion on item numbers, including the ones in his films. He said he didn't think there were going to be repercussions. “I didn't think that there were going to be repercussions. Cinema is such an impressionable medium. It was just things that you didn't think of and then when you're told, you realise that they are true. You've to apologise to the society that you possibly scarred as a result of what you put out there,” he said. “I can't take back those songs that I put out there in cinema that have objectified women but I can say for a fact that I will not do it again,” he added. Dostana 2 is helmed by Collin D'Cunha and is written by Navjot Gulati, Sumit Aroraa, and Rishabh Sharma. View the full article
  11. A pair of axe-wielding thieves pulled off what might be the greatest art heist in decades, after breaking into one of Europe's most valuable vaults and escaping with treasures worth upwards of $1 billion. The heist took place at Grünes Gewölbe (The Green Vault), a museum in Dresden, Germany. Dresden has been a historical capital of culture and the arts for Germany, surviving through horrific bombings during World War 2 and retaining a legacy that has lasted since the early 1700s. It has since been used as a display venue for a collection of about 3,000 antique jewellery pieces, and many consider it to be one of the oldest and most valuable collections in the world. So How Did They Do It? At the heart of any good heist story is a good plan, and the people behind this theft were clearly well-prepared to deal with potential challenges. The plan was set into motion at 4am on a Monday morning, when the thieves set a controlled fire at Dresden's Augustus Bridge. © There has been a bridge at this very spot for nearly ten centuries - a testament to Dresden's rich culture. (Wikimedia) The fire was a carefully planned move to destroy a nearby power box. Once the unit failed, it cut off power to all security systems in the museum, except for the CCTV cameras. Soon, the thieves snuck their way towards the 'Jewel Room' window, cut its iron bars off, and entered the vault within. NEW: Surveillance video from Dresden's Green Vault museum shows the moment two thieves smash open a cabinet before stealing three historic jewelry sets reportedly valued over $1 billion https://t.co/R810RswOdt pic.twitter.com/BaNHmfTkjv — CBS Evening News (@CBSEveningNews) November 25, 2019 The Jewel Room itself had 10 sets of priceless jewelry, three of which were nabbed after the thieves smashed their casings with axes. The stolen items include the diamond-laden breast star of the Polish Order of the White Eagle, a hat clasp with a 16-carat diamond, a diamond epaulet and a diamond-studded hilt containing nine large and 770 smaller diamonds, along with a matching scabbard. That's a lot of goddamn diamonds. According to German tabloid Bild, the jewels are worth around $1.1 billion, or nearly Rs 8,000 Crores. Marion Ackermann, General Director of Dresden's state art collections, said it was likely impossible to estimate the price of the stolen items due to their historic cultural value. The loot could have been even more ludicrous if the museum's 41-carat 'Dresden Green Diamond' wasn't on loan to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art - the incredibly rare gem was mined from Kollur in Andhra Pradesh some 300 years ago. Taking off with the goods, the thieves fled the crime scene just about an hour after beginning the heist, at 5 AM. Naturally, the heist has drawn immense interest on the internet. Many people were taken aback by how easy the heist actually seemed: In this age and times they still keep valuables behind 2mm glass? — Thomas Okumu (@okumu_thomas) November 25, 2019 I thought they use cutting edge laser technology for glass, doors and wall. Still a hammer works ð pic.twitter.com/H6tHwbPBY6 — chandrasekhar (@sekhar11235) November 26, 2019 While others inevitably drew some movie comparisons - this story is right out of a Hollywood blockbuster, after all. :) pic.twitter.com/ssgrSe4vkd — Marcin WÄtrobiÅski (@mar_watrobinski) November 25, 2019 Many compared the heist to the wildly popular Oceans series. The ensemble-cast thriller starring Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon and more centers itself around high-profile heists - usually in casinos. What's truly fascinating however, is that the value stolen by these 'Dresden thieves' amounts to nearly thrice the amount stolen in Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve combined! via GIPHY Currently, police and the public at large are speculating who the mastermind behind the heist is. 12. Shahid Kapoor and his stylist have been giving us one dapper style statement after the other for quite some time. However, throughout the year, some of the ensembles that the wonderfully talented stylist has curated for the Kabir Singh star has been truly wonderful. © Instagram/theanisha Well, for a recently organised award ceremony, Anisha one-upped the designers and presented a really zany and head-turning ensemble, that, honestly, should become the yardstick of how printed suits should be. © Viral Bhayani Shahid was seen in a rather kitschy black and white suit, complete with a co-ordinated shirt that quite simply is a masterpiece in itself. The suit's a courtesy of Sahil Aneja, a New Delhi based menswear designer who has been known to push the envelope every now and then when it comes to reimagining a classic suit. © Instagram/theanisha The suit that Shahid is wearing is traditional only in terms of its silhouette, which, to be quite honest, is hard to take note of, thanks to the zany and eccentric print. © Instagram/theanisha As for his choice of accessories, this is a classic example of why, more often than not, less is indeed more. A very basic watch from Tommy Hilfiger is perhaps the best thing that could have been added to the suit, and that's exactly what Shahid did. The watch, with its minimalistic, but overtly pronounced dial size does work well with the ensemble. © Instagram/theanisha And finally, there are the black, studded lace-ups that Shahid has paired with the ensemble. They certainly add an edge to his ensemble and complements the suit itself, rather well. They seem to be a bespoke pair of lace-ups from Shutiq. © Viral Bhayani The studs sit really well against the patent leather that makes up for most of the shoe's construction. © Viral Bhayani For men who are all set to get hitched this year, or are even invited to a wedding, this is a really nice look to base their outfits on. Kudos Shahid & Anisha! View the full article
  13. It's been months since Avengers: Endgame came out and people took their time to deal with Tony Stark's death. Everything was going okay, but no, Marvel had to come back and break everyone's hearts once again. Remember the widely talked about deleted scene with Tony Stark and his grown-up daughter Morgan? It takes place right after he snapped his fingers and saved everyone in the universe while sacrificing himself. The setting is just like when Thanos talked to a younger version of Gamora right after he snapped in Avengers: Infinity War. Well, we knew that scene would be extremely emotional, but oh no, we didn't know what was coming our way. The scene is out, it was released on the Disney Plus streaming service, and trust me, you are not ready for all the feels. Here you go, might induce some tears. IM SOBBING pic.twitter.com/AQzuFgBq8m — ⨠(@natstarks) November 12, 2019 I feel like it was a good idea to not put this in the final cut of the movie, otherwise, the entire theatre would just be sitting there crying. It's a very meaningful scene, and Tony can finally rest now knowing his daughter gets to grow up. Moreover, it feels even more emotional if you take into consideration Tony's relationship with his father. He can be at peace knowing his daughter loves him and is proud of him, something he never heard from his own father. Also, that 'I love you 3000' at the end was just there to make sure literally everyone cries, right Marvel? Well, you got what you wanted. Talking about this scene in the video commentary, Joe Russo said, "We felt it ground the movie to a halt and we felt he did something similar in the next sequence when he gives his own eulogy. What can happen in a film this big is you can have ending after ending after ending and it starts to feel like the movie's never going to end. When you have too many [ending] sequences in a row, you can dilute the value of each one of them." That's actually true, too many endings would have ruined the movie and the perfect goodbye and send off for Tony. On the bright side, we can all cry together at this particular scene now. “I love you 3000” I did not expect to be crying like a baby after watching the morgan and tony deleted scene but i AMpic.twitter.com/L17oPoQwlu — bi-derman (@IR0NSPIDEY) November 12, 2019 Yeah, she's not...good. okay but i don't like her at all as morgan and a part of me is glad they cut this scene ð — sara (@carolsalouette) November 12, 2019 "Welcome to your tape." 14. Knowing how to apply a perfume might appear to be a no brainer for you but perfume is an integral part of your personal style and people tend to remember you by your fragrance. There are so many different ways of applying it and the risk is you will either end up smelling worse or give an overwhelming whiff to every person. But, you can quickly master the art of applying it. Thankfully, this guide will come handy and let the fragrance last the whole day. 1. Buying The Right Cologne © Istock The first thing you need to know here is to not look for a cheap scent that will wear off straight after a minute of its application. We recommend you try out fresher summery fragrances like woody or spicy colognes. They work well for winters too! Use the samples between your wrists and wait for a minute. This will help you understand how the perfume matures over time. 2. Applying It The Right Way © Istock The better you are at applying it, the chances of it lasting longer are higher and you will also get the most out of every bottle. Ensure your skin is dry when you are done with your shower as this will allow your fragrance to get trapped. Next, you need to identify your heat spots and those could be your neck, inner elbows, wrists and armpits. Spray only onto these areas but from a distance. Apply it lightly on your heat points. Bonus tip: Don't rub your wrists. 3. The Lasting Effect Of Your Cologne © Istock Your perfume's ability to last longer totally depends on the way you keep it. Many people tend to get sloppy when it comes to storing the fragrance. Never keep it near the bedside table as it will be exposed to different temperatures that will turn down the fragrance level. Keep it in a dark, cool place. This quick tip will let you smell great all day long! 4. Wear It At An Appropriate Time © Istock Applying cologne is your best bet to be confident, no matter where you are. But you need to be aware of how it blends with your natural oils. For example, if you are going to a party, apply only a few sprays. Your body odour can get mixed with the cologne that will only make you stink and not smell fresh. 5. Dab It Well © Istock If your cologne doesn't include a nozzle, use the dabbing process to apply it the right way. Once you have opened it, cover it with your fingertip. Take the liquid on your finger and dab it on your pulse points. One dab of it is enough and once you are done, wash your hands thoroughly. 6. Don't Apply It Too Often © Istock Once you start using a particular cologne, you will get used to the fragrance and you might think it has worn off. But, that doesn't mean you reapply it more than twice a day. Apply it before you head out and use it later when you actually feel there's a need, spray it and make sure to keep it light. 15. While growing up, we learnt some basic and fundamental manners in school which are still engrained deep within our psyche. More than manners, the values we were taught went a long way and sometimes, they got infused in us through autopilot conditioning. For example, respecting those who are elderly, helping others in need, being honest, so on and so forth. But the thing with teaching these values in school was, there was no testing ground for them there. Our real test was always in the real world when we started growing up, post-school and applying these lessons in values and manners in the outside world. © Livemint This school in Tamil Nadu, though, wants to test the lesson and values it teaches its students in school and hence, it conducted a rather unique social experiment. In a bid to test how honest, sincere and value-imbibing the students are in this Panchayat Union school in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, the staff set up an 'Honesty Store', to test kids on their sincerity, through the most practical way ever. The Honesty Store is a stationery shop which works on the principle of free will. The students can come to pick any item of stationery like books, pencils, erasers etc. and drop an amount for whatever they've purchased in a box placed there. This way, the student learns a good lesson in honesty, if he or she picks out. This concept was first perceived by Mekela, a math teacher in the same school. There is no one present at the store to monitor payments and so, children are left on their own discretion to pay, teaching them an erstwhile lesson in honesty and basic civil responsibility. © Edexlive "The main idea behind the 'Honesty store' is to teach children life-orientated lessons. We want the children to be self-aware and honest" said Mekela in an interview with a popular publication. Even though teaching them to be honest and responsible is through an experiment, the parents can actually see a stark difference in the kids' mannerisms towards social responsibility and being more honest. "Many times, students come and ask for particular items, which are not sold in their villages. In those cases, we purchase whatever is required. Every month we sell items for anywhere between Rs 1000-1200 at least,", said S Baskaran, an English teacher in school. © Amar Ujala The concept of 'pay what you will' is not a new one. It's an ardent way to ensure the people realise the value of the services they've endured. It first started in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, a community space where people got together to build a sustainable lifestyle. Every coffee shop and restaurant at the place has a box where you can put in any amount, if you liked the service. Even though that's not a social experiment but is a way to enhance gratitude, this school in Tamil Nadu has definitely taken it a notch up and made it into an experiment. The kids actually use the money box wisely and put in a sum of whatever they think the product is worth, and never take anything for free. “They make sure to speak the truth and we are happy about it. A little act of honesty can help shape their career drastically,” parent of a Class VI student told a popular publication in an interview. © The Hindu The school has a strength of about 126 students, currently, and the program is about a year old and still running successfully. We feel it should be implemented in more schools, especially schools in most cosmopolitan cities of India. View the full article

Days after he lit up the Adelaide Oval with his action-packed innings against the visiting Sri Lankan side during the first of three T20I matches, Glenn Maxwell requested to be granted an indefinite break from playing international cricket due to mental health struggles. Even though the cricketer was performing against Lasith Malinga's men like he used to in his early 20s, Maxwell came out and let Cricket Australia know about the things that were bothering him and was “proactive in identifying these issues and engaging with the support staff,” according to Michael Lloyd, the team's psychologist. Not taking this situation lightly and understanding where the 31-year-old was coming from, the team showed their utmost support for the cricketer and granted him the leave without making a big fuss about it. © Reuters "The well-being of our players and staff is paramount. Glenn has our full support," said Ben Oliver, CA's general manager of national teams. "Cricket Australia will work collaboratively with Cricket Victoria's support staff to ensure Glenn's well-being and his reintegration into the game. "We ask that everyone gives Glenn and his family and friends space; and respects their privacy at this time. He's a special player and an important part of the Australian cricket family. We hope to see him back in the team during the summer. It's important we look after Glenn and all our players." The Head Coach of the Australian side, Justin Langer commended Maxwell for his ability to come forward and let the world know that “he wasn't OK”. © Reuters "It took great courage for him to tell us he wasn't OK," Langer told the reporters in Melbourne. "In one way, it's really good for him to do that. Behind the mask of the great entertainer and the great talent and the great team man and everything we see publicly, a lot of these guys are human and they're hurting a bit. Hopefully, he's going to be fine." This is where the Australian cricket team managed to win hearts of not only their fans but of their own players as well. Ever since the sandpaper gate that led to the suspension of Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameroon Bancroft, the “win at all cost” atmosphere of the dressing room was heavily slammed. © Twitter This transition to becoming such a player-friendly side is worth the praise. The Indian cricket team, better yet the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) must learn a thing or two about the necessity to give importance to the athletes' mental health. The Indian women's cricket team have been requesting the Indian cricket board for months to have a psychologist added to the Indian support staff who can travel with them but the BCCI have been constantly ignoring them. © Reuters Mental health and its impact is real as well as serious. A 23-time World Champion who has an amazing hat-trick of hat-tricks in English billiards, with the World, Asian, and Indian National Championship titles simultaneously in his name in five different years, yet the man is as humble as one can be. Scared and all out of money, afraid for their lives, they somehow managed to make it back to India. However, their suffering had not ended yet as a couple of years later, Pankaj's father expired. “That's when my mom made the conscious decision of raising the two of us (Pankaj and his elder brother, Shree) instead of working. Every day after school, Pankaj would follow his brother and his friends back to a snooker parlour, where he'd just watch them play for hours. For the first three weeks, he didn't even touch the cue because he was short and underaged. So he sat in a corner and tried his best to understand the game. “I am really good at observing things so I'd watch my brother play and try to understand the technicalities of the game. I would notice his stance and the way he bridged,” he said. Finally, Pankaj decided to give the game a shot. He has clearly come a long way since then. It would not be after he wins a certain number of world championships or when he reached a particular age. It will happen when he believes that he is ready to retire. As a fan of Tennis legend Roger Federer, Pankaj feels that there is a need for individual athletes to think beyond their own good and work towards having a bigger impact their sport and society. It's literally impossible for him to not make anything and everything he does funny or sarcastic, he will always be there to make everyone laugh with his movies and his social media posts. This time, he had a great congratulations poster for another comic book movie. Basically, Joker crossed Deadpool to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie and well, Ryan took that in his stride. He found a great way to commemorate Joaquin Phoenix's Joker breaking Deadpool's record and it's just so in character for him. Just look at the poster he especially got made for the iconic villain. Next up is Ryan's BFF Hugh Jackman, and I love how it just says his name instead of his character. There's no Wolverine, it's just Hugh. Then, there's The Wolfpack from The Hangover, Mr.Grey obviously from 50 Shades of Grey, and finally, there's Ted. © Twitter He just said 'You motherfucker' to Joker and it's like the message is signed by all the characters mentioned above. The heart emoji is a good touch. Along with poking fun at Deadpool's record being broken, he's basically making fun of the entire concept of filmmakers and directors sending out congratulations posters when another movie surpasses there. A recent example for that would be the posters James Cameron shared after Avengers: Endgame beat Titanic and Avatar. Coming back to the poster, this obviously got a lot of love. 21. Lewis Hamilton, the guy who rules the asphalt race circuits all around the world recently took to his Instagram account to announce that the world would soon come to an end if we continue to eat animals. The world is a messed up place. World leaders either uneducated or don't care about the environment at all. I urge you to do some research, find the compassion I know you have within you to recognise what you are contributing to in terms of what you eat which keeps the meat and dairy industry flourishing and therefore deforestation, animal cruelty, our seas and climate decaying on a daily basis. Go vegan, it is the only way to truly save our planet today. It can be done so quickly, all you have to do is put your mind to it. Honestly I feel like giving up on everything. Shut down completely. Why bother when the world is such a mess and people don't seem to care. I'm going to take a moment away to gather my thoughts. Thank you to those of you who do give a damn about the world." This is where the hypocrisy steps in. Formula One as a whole burns approximately 7 million gallons of jet fuel during just one season just to bring the “sport” to the fans all over the world. Which essentially means that even before the race begins and the “super fast”cars turn on their engines, F1 has already emitted a staggering 147 million pounds of carbon dioxide. A single formula 1 car emits 17 tons of carbon dioxide a year. So F1 is dull and bad for the planet too! — Jonathan Baldwin â (@jbaldwin) April 1, 2009 Personally, Hamilton turned vegan a couple of years ago in hopes of contributing to the cause of saving the planet. However, according to a Daily Mail report, the racer has his dog Coco fly from his Malibu house in his private jet to “catch up” with Roscoe, his second dog who prefers to live in the UK. The 5,400 mile flight between Los Angeles and Heathrow generates 1.67 tonnes of CO2. Lewis Hamilton concerned about climate change. Sweet coming from a man that fly's his dog around the world on his private jet... — Neil Johnson (@neil66johnson) October 16, 2019 So, maybe there's another way to save our planet other than turning vegan? Maybe Hamilton himself can contribute towards filling the personal hole that he has dug in our Ozone layer by simple having his dogs live together and reduce the number of trips his private jet makes? I mean, if he can ask us to turn vegan for the sake of our planet, we can at least ask him to reunite his pets Coco and Roscoe, albeit it will cause some initial discomfort the bulldogs. Alternatively, the sudden urge to write such a heartfelt appeal to his fans to boycott all animal-based products could be to promote the vegan burger joint that the Englishman recently invested in? @LewisHamilton goes VEGAN. 22. As a child, I've always dreamt of appliances that I could control with a remote; simply because I am lazy and don't want to get up to switch off my lights or fans. Now that IoT devices are becoming more affordable, we now have smart bulbs that don't cost a bomb. Xiaomi is one of those companies that makes a smart bulb that costs a fraction of whatever else is available to buy. Xiaomi already makes Air Purifiers, LED strips and now has brought the 'Mi Smart Bulb' to India via crowdfunding. It costs Rs 999 for people who choose to back the product while the retail price could be anywhere between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,500. Other companies such as Philips and Wipro do make similar products but are not as aggressively priced as Xiaomi's offering. © Xiaomi Unlike Phillips Hue smart lights, the Mi Smart Bulb does not require a bridge to operate. It connects directly to your Wifi and can be controlled from either the Mi Home app or the Yeelight app. You can use the app to customise the different moods for your room straight from your smartphone, as long as there is an internet connection. Setting it up is quite rudimentary and easy as you will have to first switch on and off the bulb five times. The bulb will then light up with rainbow colours signifying that is ready to pair with your smartphone. You then need to open the Mi Home app, find the bulb and pair the two devices. © Xiaomi Please note, the Mi Smart Bulb uses an E27 base which means you need to screw in the bulb into your lamp. If you own an older lamp with a B22 base, you can buy the converter from any local electrical shop. I hooked up the Mi Smart Bulb with one of my floor lamps and my bedside lamp with automated schedule and custom scenes. While watching a movie, I could simply change the mood to a preset from the app that is apt for movie viewing. Similarly, the Mi Smart Bulb can produce up to 16 million colours. You can set any colour you want as it uses 4 Red, 4 Green, 2 Blue and 12 White LEDs and adjust the intensity of the light according to your preference from the Mi Home app. © MensXP Now, about that childhood dream of mine of not wanting to get up to switch on or off my lamp; the Mi Home app gives you the option to schedule the on or off timings. You can even turn it off manually from your phone but it's just easier to have a schedule in place. For example, both my floor lamp and the bedside lamp are scheduled to switch on at 6:30 PM every day. You can also assign a specific colour or scene in the same schedule. There are 9 preset scenes you can choose from but my go-to scene is the “Warm Home” scene. It gives a bright yellow hue that almost matched with other bulbs in the house. The intensity is slightly brighter by default which can be adjusted from the Mi Home app. Similarly, both smart bulbs are also scheduled to go off at midnight, the time everyone in the house is either in bed or is already asleep. If you want to be even lazier, you can even hook the smart bulbs with Google Assistant or Alexa and control it by using the virtual assistants. The Xiaomi Mi Smart Bulb is probably the most affordable and easiest way to make your room smart. Currently, it is the cheapest option to buy and works flawlessly with Xiaomi's Mi Home ecosystem. For Rs 999, it is by far the best option in the market right now and you can keep expanding your setup to make your entire home smart. The only drawback is the E27 base, however, you can always buy the converter to make it work with all your older lamp bases.

  24. Virat Kohli is arguably the best ODI batsman in the world of cricket for the past year or so and has enough silverware to support this argument. 2018 was probably his best year as a professional athlete ever since he was picked as one of the Men in Blue in 2008 and slowly escalated to become the leader of the team late in 2014. Having said that, the Delhi born had made a name for himself as a bit of a hot-head in the early years of his cricketing career and when he was made the captain of such a prestigious and famed team, people began to criticise his overzealous attitude and inability to control his temper. Indian fans of the game thought that Kohli's abusive language on the field brought disgrace to the uniform he wore, the same uniform that all-time great skippers like Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni had donned so proudly in the past. But according to the skipper, ever since Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and he tied the knot in December 2017, his methods of both playing the game and leading the team have changed for the better. Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey. pic.twitter.com/aobTUwMNAK — Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) December 11, 2017 “You become extremely responsible in your life and you start putting things into perspective a lot more. It has not only made me a better player and a better captain but also a better human being outside the field,” said Virat Kohli about the changes in him after marriage, in an interview with the International Cricket Council (ICC). And surely, the 30-year-old has transformed his etiquette as a cricketer and put a lid on his anger, especially under pressure situations and foreign soil in the presence of a hostile audience. Be it bowing in front of a shrewd Australian crowd or asking the cricketing fans to stop booing Steve Smith (for the sandpaper gate in South Africa) and urging them to cheer for him instead for the brilliant cricketer that he is, Kohli has taken a 180 degree turn. Sure, there are times when Kohli lets one or two 'gaalis' out in excitement or frustration, but that's the competitive nature of an elite sportsman that will not (and should not) ever get away from him.
  25. ICC World Cup 2019 started out on a great note, with fans from all corners of the cricketing world tuning in to witness some of the best teams take each other head-on at the greatest platform there is in the sport. Sadly, the infamous English weather took over and literally washed out all the excitement and entertainment right out of the quadrennial tournament. Exactly how bad are the weather conditions in England? Well, in the last four days, we have only seen one match and less than eight overs of another match in total with eight teams getting one point each without putting in zero to negligible effort all due to the rains disrupting some of the greatest matches of the Cricket World Cup, one of which included the clash between the two teams that remain undefeated during the ongoing contest ie, India and Pakistan. Things have become so frustrating that it is almost comical now. Indian bowling all-rounder Kedar Jadhav even pushed out a video on the internet requesting the heavy, non-stop rains to move to Maharashtra and let them play cricket. Haha Kedar Jadhav asking rains from England to shift to Maharashtra ðâ¤ï¸ #INDvNZ #CWC19 pic.twitter.com/ZcdoKcypkT — Saurabh (@Boomrah_) June 13, 2019 In the same comical tone, the fans of the Men in Blue have begun a fun banter with the supporters of Sarfaraz Ahmed's Pakistan cricket team, letting them know that their chances of winning against Virat Kohli and the Indian cricket team are extremely slim. They went on to say that the only way for Team Pakistan to save themselves from a horrible and humiliating loss at the hands of the Bleed Blue army, is to pray that the downpour happens once again at Old Trafford, Manchester on Father's Day, this Sunday. This Sunday, the best way for Pakistan to avoid defeat in the match against India is to pray for rain, which is likely to spoil the game. Otherwise, Pakistan's defeat is sure. — Dr. Ashok Dhamija (@ashokdhamija) June 14, 2019 There is possibility that Pakistan will have a happy memory in this world cup. And may gain points against India There is plenty of chance for rain and match being washed out. — Chowkidar Vikram Joshi (@vikyjoshi3) June 14, 2019 Pakistan praying for rain and India showing them way to a na pakistan Train — MUKESH SURANA (@mukeshsurana) June 14, 2019 Pakistan team praying for Rain on Sunday against India because Baap rocks on Father's Day #ShameOnICC #ShameOnICC pic.twitter.com/B6Dkg62RJD — manish Agrawal (@MkAgrawal003) June 14, 2019 Only rain can save pakistan team from team india..#CWC — Puneet Suri (@Puneetsuri1) June 13, 2019 All jokes aside, India versus Pakistan is arguably the biggest match of World Cup 2019, maybe even bigger than the tournament final and if unfortunately, the rain does washout the Father's Day main event, the World Cup might lose out on whatever viewership it is enjoying right now.
