  1. At the moment, when it comes to an elite-level captain in the world of international cricket, only a few names have the honour of being compared to New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson. He has time and again proven to lead a surprisingly short-handed team to glorious moments and has even stepped up to the occasion as a batter whenever required. Reaching the 2019 World Cup final and losing to England on a crappy ICC rule, and falling short of just a few runs in their attempt to win the T20 World Cup in 2021, Williamson’s greatest achievement as a team captain so far has been winning the World Test Championship after two years of battling some of the finest cricketing squads in the world. "It's heavier than you think" Find out from Kane Williamson what it was like picking up the ICC Test Mace for the first time. #WTC21 pic.twitter.com/VblleXGQVz — BLACKCAPS (@BLACKCAPS) June 29, 2021 His ability to not let the pressure of leading a team negatively influence his batting abilities has also brought him a lot of recognition in the eyes of international fans. For instance, during the T20 World Cup final, Williamson lit up the Dubai International Stadium with an 85-run innings off just 48 deliveries to give their team a much-needed boost after the top-order had crumpled. Yet another brilliant aspect of his game and leadership is the ability to stay calm under intense situations. Even if New Zealand are losing by a big margin, Williamson never shows concern, worry or rage, even if he’s fuming at the back of his head. This man is a gem Still smiling How calm he is #AusVsNZ #KaneWilliamson #T20WorldCupFinal pic.twitter.com/OYUPLkq1Ow — Ishaan Gaba (@ishaan_gaba_21) November 14, 2021 “Each person feels the pressure. It is only natural that you do. But when you are the leader, it is important you give the impression to your teammates that you are in control. If they see you calm it helps to a degree. If a bowler isn’t bowling at his best, it is my job as captain to have a silent word and give him the confidence and support. If I get flustered and show anxiety, it can rub off on him and that’s not good for the team,” he told The Economic Times about why he can’t afford to show emotions as a captain. This was good enough for the thousands of haters of the Indian Test captain Virat Kohli to talk about the display of aggression and unhappiness that they often get to see on the field. 3. Regardless of what haters say, one has to agree that the most improved bowler in the Indian cricket team has to be Mohammed Siraj, who has grown by leaps and bounds to become a vital cog of the machine that the Indian bowling attack is. In the second Test between India and England at the iconic Lord’s stadium, Siraj once again proved his worth and gave the Men in Blue fans to start having him in their fantasy league teams if they wish to win big. View this post on Instagram Four wickets in the first innings and four more in the second, the 27-year-old brought the intensity to the floor that his team needed to succeed, especially on the final day when time was running out and all India needed was 10 wickets to get themselves a 1-0 lead in the series. While Siraj’s destructive bowling is a great asset to have, there is one more weapon that Virat Kohli’s Team India possesses and it is absolutely dreaded by their English rivals - Siraj’s stare. That Stare From Siraj #ENGvsIND pic.twitter.com/NPxwtBHLNs — (@ImVishwanath13) August 16, 2021 Every single time the paceman scalped someone’s wicket at Lord’s, he made sure that he would make the batsman feel miserable about themselves. As soon as the umpire would lift the finger, the first thing Siraj would do is rush towards his prey and look him in the eye. What’s different about what Siraj does as compared to some of the other aggressive pacers is that holds his stare for a really (really) long time. Just in case the dismissed batsman gathers enough courage to make eye contact with him once again. That stare from #Siraj What a match!!! #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/JHBI8eeeeC — ThatFanBoy (@SiddhuYour) August 16, 2021 Dom Sibley, Rory Burns, Jos Buttler, Haseeb Hameed, or even tailender James Anderson, regardless of who got their bails ripped off or got trapped for an LBW, they were going to get the stare, Siraj ensured it. Watching the trend build up, it didn’t take long for the Indian fans to start talking about it online. Here’s how many of them reacted: #IndvsEng THAT DAMN STARE BY SIRAJ! Miya Magic Intensifies. #Siraj #Miya pic.twitter.com/VvsY60Mvhm — Akshay Chhajed (@AkshayChhajed19) August 16, 2021What a player, Siraj. He's got the devil's stare in his eyes. What a battle this is turning out to be. — Arjun Bharath (@n80iyerboi) August 16, 2021If Siraj stares at you, It's game over for you. — Ritvik (@ObvsNotRitvik) August 16, 2021That stare from Siraj to Robinson.. Siraj you beauty — Sonali (@samtanisonali1) August 16, 2021 "The thing with batsmen is that, while they are facing fast bowlers, they keenly follow the body language of the bowlers. When they feel that the bowlers are a little tired, the batsman feels he can score runs maybe after a couple of balls. But with Siraj, it did not happen. Till the end, he looked like picking a wicket every ball. And with that, he did allow England batsmen to rest," Sunil Gavaskar said on the Sony Sports Network. "It was brilliant bowling. He put his all into it. As a bowler, he did everything – picked up wickets and bowled long spells. From the first ball till the last, there is no shortage of energy in his run-up. With bowlers, you can figure when someone is in rhythm and that produces results. Right now, he has the figures and the performance," said Ashish Nehra on the same broadcast. View the full article
  4. Veteran Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is arguably the most skillful bowler in world cricket at the moment and the secret to his success lies in the fact that he is never satisfied with the end result and always strives to try something new. The amount of variations the off-spinner has up his arsenal makes it difficult for any batsman to pick his deliveries and Ashwin has no plans of giving any sort of respite to the English batsmen in the upcoming five-match Test series. © Instagram/Ravichandran Ashwin Despite being one of the senior-most players in the Indian cricket team, Ashwin doesn’t take his job for granted, setting a perfect example for the youngsters to follow. When most of his teammates were busy enjoying their three-week break, Ashwin finished his vacation early and decided to spend the last few days playing a county match for Surrey. It is a well known fact that an off-spinner uses his fingers to bowl different variations but not all bowlers experiment with their bowling action because it’s the most difficult thing to do for any bowler except Ashwin. Very admirable and proactive of Ravi Ashwin to take up the opportunity of a game for @surreycricket & snuff a 6 wkt haul. Locked in a nice battle with Jack Leach at the Oval. Nice Test Summer ahead. — Ian Raphael Bishop (@irbishi) July 14, 2021 When he turned up for Surrey, all eyes were on him and even he knew that the opposition batsmen would be watching him. With not much help from the pitch, things didn’t go his way in the first innings and all he could manage was one wicket. In the second innings, he wreaked havoc and ran through Somerset’s batting line-up picking up six wickets and rang a bell or two in the opposition camp ahead of the series. Watch all six wickets for @ashwinravi99 at The Kia Oval this morning, as Somerset were bowled out for just 69. @DelhiCapitals @BCCI pic.twitter.com/4ybYW4dAno — Surrey Cricket (@surreycricket) July 14, 2021 While most fans marvelled at the end result, not many observed that Ashwin had made a slight change in his bowling action, bringing his right arm over right shoulder before releasing the ball. Playing on spin-friendly tracks in India, Ashwin didn’t load up in the same manner and it clearly suggests that he has made this slight adjustment with the England series in mind. Meanwhile after making 420 in the first innings Somerset have been bowled by Surrey for 69 in the 2nd innings with Ashwin getting 6-27. Not a bad way to get ready for some test matches! — Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) July 14, 2021 The last time India won a Test series on English soil was way back in 2007 under Rahul Dravid’s leadership. If the Virat Kohli-led side plays to its full potential, they have a realistic chance of beating England and they are totally aware of that. The series becomes all the more important because it marks the beginning of the second edition of the World Test Championship, hence would like to start their fresh campaign on a winning note. It is Ashwin's attitude and work ethic which has made him such a fantastic bowler for India. Match figure of 7/126 was just a bonus. Getting 58 overs to bowl in a first class game ahead of a very important series is a great sign. @ashwinravi99 — R P Singh रुद्र प्रताप सिंह (@rpsingh) July 14, 2021 It remains to be seen if Ashwin’s tweaked bowling action could be the game-changer or not but one thing is for sure that it has definitely created some doubts in the minds of the opposition players... and for us it's already a win. 5. Indian skipper Virat Kohli is regarded as the most complete batsman across all three formats of the game but the same can’t be said about his bowling. Kohli, who used to bowl a lot during his Under-19 days, has not bowled much since making his senior debut. The kind of quality bowling options Kohli has at his disposal at all times, no skipper would want to risk bringing himself into the attack. However, fans always want more from their star cricketer and want him to be the centre of attraction at all times so that they get to see him even more. To the delight of all Kohli fans, the Indian skipper, after batting on the opening day of the intra-squad game, decided to roll his arms over, that too against KL Rahul, his counterpart for the practice game. Highlights from Day 2 of the intra-squad match simulation here in Southampton #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/Tm6RrQ4nnd — BCCI (@BCCI) June 13, 2021 In Hardik’s absence, the other like-for-like replacement, though not of the same class, is Shardul Thakur, who is a fine bowler and has shown in his short career that he can be pretty handy with the bat as well. If not, Team India has multiple options of spinning all-rounders with Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Axar Patel all part of the squad. While most of the squad is well-settled, the biggest conundrum in front of the team management is to decide, whether to go with four pacers and a spinner or pick three fast bowlers and strengthen their batting by playing both Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja. 6. Whether it’s in terms of skincare or overall health, we have all heard the word “collagen” being used more often than ever before. For those of you who may not know, collagen is actually the most abundant protein in our body. It is a major component of the connecting tissues that make up most of our body parts like skin and muscles. In other words, it is the tissue that helps you “keep it together”, quite literally. In recent years, we have seen a huge growth in the popularity of collagen supplements and collagen skincare products. Why, you ask? Well, that’s exactly what we are here to discuss. Here are 5 scientifically proven health benefits of taking collagen and why it’s one of the most popular supplements out there. 1. Improves Skin Elasticity Skin ageing is one of the natural processes that no one can avoid. With age, your body starts to produce less collagen. This leads to the formation of wrinkles and other signs of ageing start to show up. Taking collagen supplements or using collagen skincare products can help you improve the elasticity of your skin. It also helps in treating dryness and keeps the skin plump and hydrated. __ECOMPRODUCT__1060__ __ECOMPRODUCT__1061__ 2. Relieves Joint Pain Joint pain can be caused due to various reasons and ageing is another one of those causes. Taking collagen supplements is proven to reduce the risks of osteoarthritis and other degenerative joint problems. Most of these problems are caused because of reduced collagen in the cartilages. Many people also take collagen as a preventive measure to avoid such problems. __ECOMPRODUCT__1062__ 3. Stronger Bones Like many other body parts, bones are also made up of huge portions of collagen. With age, bone density also reduces, which means your bones become weaker. Taking collagen will help you increase bone mass and density. Stronger bones also mean that you’re at a lower risk of fractures and other related problems. __ECOMPRODUCT__1063__ 4. Boosts Muscle Mass We already know that protein helps in improving muscle mass. To be even more precise, collagen is the type of protein that helps stimulate muscle growth post exercising. There is enough research backing the fact that collagen is extremely important to improve muscle mass and build strength, especially for young adults who are just beginning to age. __ECOMPRODUCT__1064__ 5. Improves Hair Growth The lesser known fact about collagen is that it also helps in improving hair growth and reducing hair ageing. Hair loss, patterned baldness and greying of the hair are all signs of ageing. Increased collagen in your body will prevent brittleness and keep your hair looking and feeling young. The same holds true for your skin, nails and any other part of your body where ageing is visible. __ECOMPRODUCT__1065__ The Bottomline There you go, now you know why collagen has become the ultimate anti-ageing weapon for everyone. ageing is a very natural process, but it has the most adverse effects on our body. This is exactly why adding collagen supplements to your life can actually be a great choice. However, do take a professional’s advice before trying it out. Explore More View the full article

  8. Cyberpunk 2077 is an action-adventure RPG set in the Night City, a place that is not known to be always very kind to the people. You'll often find yourself caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Your escape will purely depend on the kind of firearms you have in tow. Cyberpunk 2077 features a ton of weapons and it's important to understand and get a feel for them before fixing on the ones that work best for you. Weapons typically fall under pistols, rifles, and shotguns. However, the game also has different classes of weapons under which your particular firearm will fall into. Here are 3 different weapon classes in Cyberpunk 2077 and how they'll affect your gameplay - Power Weapons The weapons that fall under this category are your conventional firearms. This means they use traditional ammo, calibers, and cartridges. You'll find a ton of options when it comes to power weapons. We're looking at guns like pistols, revolvers, SMGs, machine guns, and more. Power weapons are the type of guns in which you can expect a high rate of fire accompanied by high recoil. Tech WeaponsThe weapons that fall under this class will fire projectiles with an electromagnetic charge. They're not going to be high on the rate of fire but you can expect them to deal a lot of damage, especially if you're shooting a well-charged shot. Smart Weapons View the full article
  9. One of Indiaâs biggest threats when it comes to fighting the Coronavirus pandemic in the subcontinent, is the countryâs low COVID-19 testing numbers. Even as the Director-General of the WHO advised all the affected countries to âtest, test, testâ on every other citizen, India has only been testing people with foreign travel history or those who have been exposed to confirmed Coronavirus patients. The major reason why weâre facing this situation is that India has limited testing facilities. Or so was the case until very recently. Because now, a Pune-based virologist named Minal Dakhave Bhosale has successfully developed Indiaâs first, low-cost COVID-19 testing kit which is being hailed as a game-changer for Indiaâs fight against Coronavirus. Who Is Minal Dakhabe Bhosale © Twitter Minal is a virologist who works with a Pune-based molecular diagnostics company named Mylab Discovery Solutions as their Research and Development Chief. Reportedly, Minal was eight months pregnant and had just come home from a pregnancy-related complication when she took up the project to create the first âmade in Indiaâ coronavirus testing kit - âPatho Detectâ. Minal was heading a 10-member team and handled major proceedings remotely from home since February this year. She, along with her dedicated team, worked non-stop to develop the testing kit in a record six weeksâ time, given the countryâs growing need to test more people for the Coronavirus infection. © Twitter Minal submitted the fully-finished kit for evaluation at the National Institute of Virology in Pune on 18th March. And as fate would have it, the very next day she gave birth to her daughter through C-section. But even an hour before she was to leave for the hospital, Minal submitted her proposal to the Indian FDA and CDSCO seeking commercial approval. She got it all right in the first go, got the necessary clearances and gave India a much-needed weapon to fight Coronavirus. What Makes This Testing Special © BCCL - LinkedIN Not only has this development come as a ray of hope for Indians, the kit developed by Minal and her team also comes with its own salient features that make it invaluable. This COVID-19 testing kit can reportedly test 100 samples per kit and would cost one-fourth the price at Rs 1,200 as opposed to Rs 4,500 imported testing kits cost. Thatâs not all. Indiaâs COVID-19 testing kit is capable of giving correct diagnostic results in just two and a half hours as opposed to the six or seven hours imported test kits take. Whatâs more, the kit can also indicate potentially positive cases among asymptomatic patients What This Means © BCCL The first few batches of kits developed by Minal and her team have already been sent out to diagnostic laboratories in major Indian cities. The director of the manufacturing company of the COVID-19 kits, Mylab Discovery, told BBC that the company can supply up to 100,000 kits in a week and push it up to 200,000 if needed. This week will see more kits reaching many other labs and take-up Indiaâs much-needed testing numbers higher. Talking about the feat, Minal told BBC, "It was an emergency, so I took this on as a challenge. I have to serve my nation." Given the dire need to scale up the number of random testing of Coronavirus in India, 'Mylab PathoDetect COVID-19 Qualitative PCR kit' can not only help with early diagnosis but also help bring down the number of fatalities in the process. Kudos to Minal Bhosale and her team for their terrific work! View the full article
  10. Those who have experienced a blow from a lathi say it leaves a numbing sensation that lasts for days. AFP/STRAs Indian protests against a new citizenship law have intensified, so has police use of "lathis", sturdy sticks used to whack, thwack and quell dissent since British colonial times — to sometimes deadly effect. At least 27 people have died in the past two weeks of protests, mostly from bullets but hundreds more have been injured in clashes between demonstrators and riot police wielding the bamboo canes. Images shot by AFP and other media of officers hitting people with them, in some cases apparently indiscriminately lashing out at passers-by and even minors, has only fuelled public anger. Read more: Qureshi says citizenship law split India into two schools of thoughts One video of a group of Muslim women in New Delhi protecting a cowering male fellow student from a police lathi barrage spread like wildfire on social media in India. 'Brutal use'Those who have experienced a blow from a lathi, measuring five or six feet (1.5-1.8 metres) and made of stout bamboo or plastic, say it leaves a numbing sensation that lasts for days. Multiple strikes can break bones, cripple and even kill. Also read: Finger-wagging women become Indian protest symbols "From being used as means to regulate crowds, lathi has turned into a lethal weapon," said V. Suresh, the secretary general of the People's Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), a non-profit rights group. "It is... being freely used, so much so that as a country, we have become inured to it. Lathi is seen as a normal but it is a horrible weapon," Suresh told AFP. "Nothing legitimises its brutal use." India's protests: why now? Many believe the lathi originated as a martial arts accessory in South Asia. It was also used by feudal landlords against poor peasants, emerging as a symbol of unquestioned power and authority. In India, the weapon began to inspire fear and awe when the British used it unsparingly to disrupt protest marches that defined the non-violent independence movement in the late 19th and early 20th century. The British even came up with lathi guidelines that included commands such as "jabbing", which meant hitting people in the gut, and "cutting", denoting a blow to the neck and head. Related: Uttar Pradesh cop tells protesters to 'go to Pakistan' "The lathi is a legacy of the British colonial rule," said Syed Ali Kazim, an assistant professor of history at Aligarh Muslim University. "There is clear historical evidence that (freedom fighter) Lala Lajpat Rai died because of the lathi blows on his head during a protest against the British," he told AFP. The British left in 1947 but the lathi stayed in use, and not only for the security forces. Last week, long-lines of white-shirted RSS members marched through the streets of Hyderabad beating drums, riding horses — and holding aloft their long sticks. Read more: PM Imran warns of 'genocide of Muslims' in India "Lathis are not regular sticks. 11. If you've seen the first episode of the final season of 'Game of Thrones', you'd have come across many things that may seem very probable. That's exactly how and why theories come into place, isn't it? And I believe you already have a few of them tucked under your belt. For instance, after seeing Lord Umber trapped in the 'death swirl' created by the Night King, we do believe the swirl has some relevance in the last season, since we've been seeing it since season 1. It could also mean it has a prominent clue on how to defeat the Night King and his army. Well, that's what theories do, build interest and a narrative for the show. © HBO Similarly, there's another theory doing the rounds. Remember Arya and Gendry and how they parted ways? It broke our hearts to see them bid adieu in the most unfavourable circumstances, but they meet again in season 8, where they are both relieved the other is alive. Gendry, a blacksmith, is busy at Winterfell forging weapons from Dragonglass and Valyrian Steel to defeat the Wights and the White Walkers and being an ace blacksmith himself, he makes some rather indestructible weapons. After a flirtatious banter between the two, Arya asks Gendry to forge her a weapon and I think that's the most romantic gesture I've seen off late! An assassin asking her former crush to craft her the finest weapon of all. Well, we do believe it's the finest because the weapon Arya has asked Gendry to make for her will play a pivotal role in the season. © HBO Let's look at all the facts here. Arya pulls out a drawing and passes it on to Gendry so he can make it. The weapon looks like a double-ended spear/staff, with a Dragonglass and a Valyrian Steel blade on each end, both detachable. Now, if you see the season 8 trailer again, you'll see Arya fight with a weapon that looks like a staff, and not to forget she got adequate training fighting with a staff when she was trying to become one of the 'Faceless Men', so it all adds up I suppose. But that's not all. According to Tommy Dunne, the weapon master of Game Of Thrones, there is a creation in season 8, which is apparently going to steal the show and I bet it's the weapon Aryá asks Gendry to make for her! © HBO “There is one creation in season 8 that is absolutely phenomenal. It'll be a showstopper. That was great to finish. It was great to make, great to design it that it was about to be reverse-engineered and made into two different items.” Dunne told a popular international publication. Does he mean Arya's weapon may put an end to the show? I wonder! Well, we really can't wait to know what Gendry forges for Arya and if the weapon itself is a showstopper like Tommy said. After all, the weapon Arya asks Gendry to make does have two pointy ends!
  12. Making a name for himself during the Under-19 World Cup in 2014, the South African international cricketer, Kagiso Rabada has been one of the greatest wildcards in the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Drafted by the Delhi Daredevils in 2017 for his impressive pace attack the kid has come a long way from warming benches during the peak season. After missing out on the entire 2018 year with a terrible back injury, the youngster is back to the field looking for blood. Having played all five matches with the newly named Delhi Capitals, the 23-year-old has taken the responsibility of becoming his franchise's best bowler. Delivering a total of 19.1 overs throughout the tournament, Rabada has given away a total of 154 runs with an economy of 8.03 and 22.00 average. While not one of the most economical bowlers in the league, his ability to take wickets (7) has provided him with the third spot in the race for the extremely desirable Purple Cap. Kagiso Rabada.....unbelievable stuff. Execution of high quality skill under extreme pressure. #DCvKKR #IPL — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) March 30, 2019 With still a couple of years in his hand to reach his prime, Rabada has only shown massive improvement in international cricket in the last year. His blazing fast bowling combined with the finesse of Trent Boult and Ishant Sharma makes for a great bowling lineup for Delhi.
  13. Men applying makeup and even teaching others via YouTube tutorials is super common nowadays. 2019 is all about breaking gender barriers and embracing our bodies for what they are. Makeup is unisex now and male beauty is all the rage. We're not asking you to go do a full-blown makeup look, but covering up imperfections which are kind of necessary. But unlike other makeup products, concealer is applied only where you need it, masking flaws with a thin layer of color. Concealer can be your saving grace to cover up a nasty razor burn, ( ) acne or even a hickey from some unsolicited action. Here are 4 reasons why a concealer is the ultimate solution to achieve flawless skin: 1. Hide Dark Circles © Getty Images A layer of dark hue beneath your eyes is a telltale sign of numerous late nights resulting in sleep deprivation. Although there are other solutions for it, if you need a quick cover-up we've got your back. Dab a small spot of color correction and follow up with a drop of concealer that's one shade lighter to your skin tone. Gently dab the product into the corners of your eyes near the nose, as well as under the eyes using your finger. 2. Cover Up Hickeys © Getty Images It's all fun and games until you have a red fire-alarm or purple bruise-like hickey on your skin. Just wearing a turtleneck for 5 days in hope of saving face might do the trick temporarily, but if it's summertime, you will need a new trick to save face. Enter the concealer. Find a concealer that matches your neck (use a color corrector if the bruise is too dark) and blend it in. Keep the product handy, because of course, it'll happen again. 3. Conceal Razor Burns & Blemishes © Getty Images Razor burns are nasty, itchy and look bad. Contrary to dark circles, razor burns need to be covered up with the concealer shade that matches your skin tone perfectly. Blend the concealer evenly across the burn to make sure it is concealed well. The same process applies to covering up blemishes as well. It's better to use products that contain Vitamin E to reduce inflammation. 4. Mask Pimples Out Of Sight © Getty Images Imagine getting an annoying little popper on your face just hours before a date or an event. That is one way to spoil your first impression. The solution? Slap on a dab of concealer, and you're good to go. Yes, it's that easy. Just go a little light with the product and the coverage is always buildable. Bye, acne. Male beauty is trending and now you know why a concealer in hand is the stairway to glowing and flawless looking skin.
  14. Here's a Call of Duty player who just loves bringing knives to a gunfight. Grinding levels is a pretty common objective in 'Call of Duty's' multiplayer mode, but one YouTuber has become the first player to reach the ultimate “Master Prestige” rank in WWII without firing a single bullet. That in itself is no easy feat, but earning that achievement without using powerful long-range rifles or any sort of guns? That's simply insane. YouTube sensation TheseKnivesOnly has managed to rake in more than 32,000 kills to hit the milestone, and during this time only utilised the Recon Aircraft and Counter Recon scorestreaks. Once you are Master Prestige, you can keep earning experience points all the way to level 1000, but your rank won't change anymore. TheseKnivesOnly has been documenting his road to the coveted title of Master Prestige, showcasing his ability to run the battlefield and gain experience points by only throwing knives and melee weapons. He has a video available for each Prestige rank, breaking down his stats and weapons used 'Call of Duty: WWII' developer Sledgehammer Games has acknowledged his achievement, which is reportedly the first in the world to hit Master Prestige in the game without firing a single shot. He managed to accrue over 32,000 kills using the Infantry Division's bayonet charge, shovel, ice pick, throwing knives, and combat knives. © Twitter “The main reason I was inspired to knife only was during a Search and Destroy match on WMD where a random guy in the lobby hit a straight up tomahawk bomb defend,” TheseKnivesOnly told Kotaku via email “I thought it was the coolest thing ever and it sparked my interest for using knives.” TheseKnivesOnly is a member of the professional gaming organization KARNAGE clan, and he's been mastering his virtual knife skills since the original 'Call of Duty: Black Ops' was released in 2010.

  16. US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson delivers remarks to members of the press after a meeting about North Korea's nuclear program at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, US on December 15, 2017. ? Reuters UNITED NATIONS: US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Friday urged North Korea to carry out a ?sustained cessation? of weapons testing to allow the two countries to hold talks about Pyongyang?s nuclear and missile programs. ?North Korea must earn its way back to the table. The pressure campaign must and will continue until denuclearisation is achieved,? Tillerson told a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on North Korea?s weapons programs. He did not specify how long the lull should last. He told reporters after the meeting that the United States would not accept any preconditions for talks with North Korea. Tillerson had raised hopes this week that the United States and North Korea could negotiate to resolve their standoff when he said that the United States was ?ready to talk any time North Korea would like to talk.? But the White House distanced itself from those remarks by Tillerson and said that now is not the time for negotiations. North Korea?s ambassador to the United Nations on Friday made no mention of Tillerson?s call for a halt to testing when he addressed the same UN meeting. Ambassador Ja Song Nam said his country would not pose a threat to any state, as long as its interests were not infringed upon. He described the Security Council session as ?a desperate measure plotted by the US being terrified by the incredible might of our Republic that has successfully achieved the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force.? Little interest North Korea has made clear it has little interest in negotiations with the United States until it has developed the ability to hit the US mainland with a nuclear-tipped missile, something most experts say it has yet to prove. North Korea conducted missile tests at a steady pace since April, then paused in September after firing a rocket that passed over Japan?s Hokkaido island. But it renewed tests in November when it fired a new type of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), the Hwasong-15, which flew higher and further than previous tests. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono told the Security Council that North Korea was ?nowhere near ready? to abandon its nuclear and missile programs and was not interested in a meaningful dialogue. He said any lull in missile tests did not mean that North Korea was sitting idly. ?The latest launch was conducted 75 days after North Korea?s provocations in September. Some optimistic views labeled 75 days of silence as a positive signal. However, the missile launch in November made it clear that North Korea was continuing to relentlessly develop its nuclear and missile programs even while they were seemingly silent,? Kono said. Tillerson also urged China and Russia on Friday to increase pressure on North Korea by going beyond the implementation of UN sanctions but the two countries were wary of the idea. China?s Deputy UN Ambassador Wu Haitao said all parties must implement UN sanctions, but added that unilateral sanctions undermine the unity of the Security Council and ?hurt the legitimate right and interests of other countries and should therefore be abandoned.? Russian UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia said Moscow was committed to implementing UN sanctions on North Korea and echoed China?s concerns about unilateral sanctions. US President Donald Trump wants China, North Korea?s main ally and trading partner, to impose an oil embargo on Pyongyang, over and above Beijing?s adherence to UN sanctions. The Security Council has ratcheted up sanctions on North Korea over its weapons programs since 2006. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council on Friday it was time to immediately re-establish and strengthen communication channels with North Korea, including inter-Korean and military-to-military channels, to reduce the risk of a misunderstanding escalating into conflict.
  17. US Secretary of Defence Jim Mattis SEOUL: US Secretary of Defence Jim Mattis on Saturday warned North Korea of a "massive military response" to any use of nuclear weapons as tensions remain sky-high ahead of Donald Trump´s visit to South Korea. Pyongyang in recent months has sparked global alarm by conducting a sixth nuclear test and test-launching missiles capable of reaching the US mainland, while Trump and the North´s young ruler Kim Jong-Un have traded threats of war and personal insults. Mattis, on a trip to Seoul for annual defence talks, maintained that diplomacy remained a "preferred course of action" but stressed, "our diplomats are most effective when backed by credible military force". "Make no mistake -- any attack on the United States or our allies will be defeated," Mattis said at a joint press conference with his South Korean counterpart Song Young-Moo. "Any use of nuclear weapons by the North will be met with a massive military response, effective and overwhelming," Mattis said, adding Washington "does not accept a nuclear North Korea." "I cannot imagine a condition under which the United States will accept North Korea as a nuclear power," he said. Mattis did not specify the threshold of nuclear weapon activity that would trigger a military response. Pyongyang´s Foreign Minister Ri Yong-Ho said on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly last month that his country could test a nuclear bomb over the Pacific. But Mattis said Pyongyang should "harbour no illusion", saying the isolated state is militarily "overmatched" by the US and South Korea -- a key ally of Washington that hosts 28,500 US troops. ´Not rushing to war´ Mattis´ trip comes ahead of Trump´s first presidential visit to South Korea next month as part of his Asia tour which also includes Japan, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. All eyes will be on Trump´s message to the North and Kim. Trump is expected to deliver a speech at the South´s parliament and to visit an US military base during a November 7-8 trip to Seoul. Trump´s recent remark that "only one thing will work" with the North fuelled concerns of a potential conflict on the divided peninsula where the 1950-53 Korean War had left millions dead. But Mattis has repeatedly stressed a diplomatic solution to ease tension during his trip to Asia this week, saying Washington was "not rushing to war" and its goal was "not war." North Korea ruler Kim Jong-Un Some Trump advisers have said US military options are limited when Pyongyang could launch an artillery barrage on the South´s capital Seoul -- only about 50 kilometres from the border and home to 10 million people. The North is estimated to have some 10,000 artillery pieces and at least 50 short-range missiles stationed along its heavily fortified border with the South. The country has made significant progress in its atomic and missile technology under Kim, who took power after the death of his father and longtime ruler, Kim Jong-Il, in 2011. Since then he has overseen four of the country´s six nuclear tests and hailed its nuclear weapons as a "treasured sword" to protect itself from potential invasion by the "imperialist enemy" the US. Growing nuclear threats by the North prompted calls by some Seoul lawmakers to deploy tactical US nuclear weapons in the South, but Song dismissed such a possibility. "We believe that tactical nukes are not worth deploying to the Korean peninsula," Song said, adding Seoul was capable of responding to potential nuclear attacks by the North without its own atomic weapon.

  19. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has supervised the test of a new anti-aircraft weapon system and ordered its mass production and deployment throughout the country, the state news agency reported on Sunday, after weeks of defiant ballistic missile tests. The North's KCNA news agency did not report the exact nature of the weapon or the time of the test but said it was organized by the Academy of National Defence Science, a blacklisted agency that is believed to be developing missiles and nuclear weapons. The North has been pushing to develop a wide range of weapon systems since early last year at an unprecedented pace including a long-range missile capable of striking the mainland United States and has in recent weeks tested its intermediate-range ballistic missile, making some technical advances. The reclusive state rejects UN and unilateral sanctions by other states against its weapons program as an infringement of its right to self defense and says the program is necessary to counter US aggression. It last conducted a ballistic missile test a week ago. The United States denies any intention to attack the North. "Kim Jong Un ... watched the test of a new type of anti-aircraft guided weapon system organized by the Academy of National Defence Science," KCNA said on Sunday. "This weapon system, whose operation capability has been thoroughly verified, should be mass-produced to deploy all over the country ... so as to completely spoil the enemy's wild dream to command the air, boasting of air supremacy and weapon almighty," it said. KCNA said Kim was accompanied by his military aides and listed the three men believed to be the top officials in the country's rapidly accelerating missile program. They are Ri Pyong Chol, a former top air force general; Kim Jong Sik, a veteran rocket scientist; and Jang Chang Ha, the head of the Academy of National Defence Science, a weapons development and procurement center. North Korea said on Monday it had successfully tested what it called an intermediate-range ballistic missile that met all technical requirements and could now be mass-produced, although outside officials and experts questioned the extent of its progress. On Tuesday, the head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency said that if left unchecked, North Korea is on an "inevitable" path to obtaining a nuclear-armed missile capable of striking the United States. Appearing at a Senate hearing, Defense Intelligence Agency Director Vincent Stewart declined to offer a time estimate but Western experts believe the North still needed several years to develop such a weapon.
  20. The two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions, Koklata Knight Riders (KKR), suffered an early blow after their star-allrounder Andre Russell was handed a one-year ban for a doping-code violation. Forced to acquire necessary replacements, the Gautam Gambhir brigade roped in Colin de Grandhomme for the tenth edition of the IPL. How is Colin de Grandhomme better then Shakib Al Hassan.. decision to back fire. #ipl #KKRvsKXIP — Nikhil Jadhav (@42nikhil) April 13, 2017 De Grandhomme surely looked like a make-shift replacement and Kolkata fans probably didn't expect the 30-year-old to feature in the playing XI, let alone enthrall them with a sublime performance. But, ahead of Kolkata's third game against Kings XI Punjab, when De Grandhomme found his way in KKR's playing XI, the fans were left wondering who he is really was. Colin de Grandhomme picked up 6/41 on his Test debut, v Pak in Nov 2016. And a wicket in the first over of IPL career today. #KKRvKXIP — Bharath Seervi (@SeerviBharath) April 13, 2017 While some argued his selection in place of Shakib Al Hasan, others were busy unearthing his cricket records on Google. So, in order to save you some precious time, we decided to bring the skeletons out on De Grandhomme. Twitter De Grandhomme had represented Zimbabwe at the Under-19 World Cup in 2003-04, and broke into the Manicaland side in 2004-05 before ascending to Zimbabwe A and Zimbabwe Under-23s, for whome he scored a century against Eastern Province in the SAA Provincial Challenge. But, he soon realised that his future lay outside Zimbabwe. Well bowled, Great start for the debutant, Colin de Grandhomme. Impressive!! ?? #KKRvKXIP #IPL — Praveen Namasivayam (@iPraveenVish) April 13, 2017 A broad-shouldered batsman, and a disciplined medium-pace bowler, De Grandhomme left Zimbabwe for Auckland in 2006 before eventually finding his way into New Zealand's representative teams. In 2008-09, he averaged 54.50 with the bat and 24.19 with the ball as Auckland clinched the State Championship. Twitter In 2009, he was named in a New Zealand Emerging Players team to take part in a quadrangular tournament in Australia. During that season, his figures in the Plunket Shield were again strong, but it was his domestic limited-overs form that left everyone disappointed. Excellent debut from #ColindeGrandhomme #KKRvKXIP #ipl — Sreejith Nair (@sreejith007nair) April 13, 2017 However, a steady show in 2010-11 - where he was part of the Auckland side that won the domestic ODI tournament and clinched the T20 title - resulted in another call-up to the New Zealand Emerging Players team in 2011. Since then, he has scored over 600 runs in a season three times and it was his performance over several years, as much as the rapid 144*, that earned him a T20 call-up. #KKRvKXIP #ColindeGrandhomme great addition to KKR. Looking forward for his batting. — SMH (@grubroot) April 13, 2017 Having earned a reputation as a big-hitting batsman in New Zealand's domestic T20 competition, De Grandhomme earned a debut against his native Zimbabwe in 2012. Despite failing to make a mark on debut, he continued to flourish on the domestic circuit. In 2016, De Grandhomme slammed an unbeaten fourth-innings 144 off 147 balls to lead Auckland's successful chase of 373. His blazing knock got him back into the national reckoning, this time in the Test format. But, more than his willow, it was De Grandhomme's bowling that left his first significant impression in international cricket. Just the single run and a wicket off his first over. A perfect start for Colin de Grandhomme. #DusKiDahaad #AmiKKR #KKRvKXIP April 13, 2017… — Shafran Naizer (@ShafranNaizer) April 13, 2017 His brilliant spell of 6-41 against Pakistan on a Christchurch green-top were the best figures for a New Zealand debutant, bettering a 65-year-old record. #KKRvKXIP #AmiKKR 2 Wkts in 2 Overs. You hear their war cry echo through the thick brush. A ‘whoosh’ breaks through the cacophony of sounds and all you feel is your skull cracking. You fall to your knees, blood streaming down your face. You’re disoriented; your head is spinning and all you can feel is something sticking out of the base of your skull. Well, you just got owned by a Tomahawk. © Twitter The Tomahawk was the weapon of choice for the Native Americans who used it as a hunting tool as well as an offensive apparatus. It was a devastating axe that was capable of incredible damage. Which is exactly why, the missiles used to bomb Syria by the United States were named after this fabled weapon. What exactly are Tomahawk missiles? © Twitter The Tomahawk missile is an intermediate-range cruise missile with a range of about 1,250 kms. Fired from both the land and the sea, these missiles aren’t just your standard point and shoot weapons. The missile will actively circumnavigate different routes to prevent being shot down. This isn’t just a run-of-the-mill weapon. The Tomahawk is destruction personified. You don’t even need to be close to your target with this bringer of death! Just press a button and voila, cities disappear. © Twitter Measuring in at 20 feet and six inches, the Tomahawk missile is weapon of choice when it comes to ranged warfare. It can target hostiles at a maximum distance of 2,500 kms and travels at a speed of 880 kms per hour. Now that’s a real killer, right there! © Twitter First used during Operation Desert Storm, the missile was designed way back in the 1970’s by an Aerospace company called McDonnell Douglas. It has now been acquired by weapons manufacturer, Raytheon who seriously took this missile to another level. The Tomahawk was fitted with network-centric warfare capability; which essentially means that it can collect data from aircrafts, soldiers, tanks and ships to locate and destroy the target. Essentially, there ain’t no hiding from the bringer of death! Shit, the missile can even be re-directed mid-flight to home in on a different target. © Encyclopedia Britannica Equipped with a 450 kg warhead, the Tomahawk is no joke! It can actually be fitted with a nuclear warhead as well, but policymakers wisely decided against it. Only two countries in the entire world own and operate Tomahawk missiles, namely, The United States and the United Kingdom. 4 Interesting facts about the Tomahawk Missile: © Twitter The missile has a precision level of about 5 to 10 meters. Basically, there is no escape from this. Some Tomahawk missiles can even be used to target submarines. Crap, you aren’t safe, even underwater? © MensXP/Samiksha Sharma The missile actually comes fitted with GPS technology making it incredibly precise. Tomahawks come with 1,000 pounds of explosive material making them bloody destructive.
