  1. Shahid Kapoor's version of 'Arjun Reddy', which is his upcoming movie 'Kabir Singh', is already being praised for the raw charisma he brings to the character. The promotions are on in full swing, and Mr Kapoor is once again out there, with his best fashionable self. We have always been on board with his sartorial choices, and he just reminded us why, with a pair of super edgy sneakers. Check them out. © Dolce and Gabbana We are in love with the futuristic, robotic vibe of the sneakers, and the angular heel only makes it edgier. © Instagram/theanisha Shahid is wearing the Two Tone Super King sneakers from Dolce & Gabbana. The mirrored metallic leather upper with contrasting details, along with the serrated edges make for a superbly modern aesthetic, that new age street style is all about. When it comes to how much they cost, they would set you back by 795 Euros, which when converted to INR comes around Rs 63,000. © Dolce and Gabbana © Dolce and Gabbana When it comes to what he chose to pair these statement sneakers with, we totally agree with the Pawan Sachdeva suit and the Paul Smith shirt. The outfit totally brings out the edgy appeal of the sneakers, which though boast of an aesthetic that's street, can fit in seamlessly on a red carpet as well. © Instagram/theanisha © Dolce and Gabbana All the best for 'Kabir Singh', Shahid. It does look extremely promising.
  2. Celebrities and Instagram fitness influencers are guilty of selling a lot of shit to you that you do not really need. Every other day, you will find them endorsing a new product or a supplement that promises to magically build muscle, make you lose fat or enhance your performance. One such product that has gained wide popularity is the 'high-altitude' training mask. It's a questionable-looking mask that you may have seen on hipsters in your gym, mostly while running like bunnies on the treadmill, or worse during lifting weights. These masks claim to improve your aerobic capacity by increasing Vo2 max output during exercise. How does it do that? By making lesser oxygen available forcing your body to give greater output. © Getty Images A study was done and published in the International Journal of Sports Sciences where they took two test groups and made them perform HIIT workout. One of the groups wore the mask and another did not wear the mask. At the end of the study, all the subjects had an improved Vo2 max but the improvements between the two groups were not that different. The study concluded that HIIT as a training pattern is efficient in increasing Vo2 max, the mask is simply useless. The notion of lesser oxygen available making your body give greater output is similar to saying that the lesser fuel you put in the tank of your car, the higher the mileage would be. And the argument that it gives your body a low-oxygen performance capability, the fundamentals behind the thought in itself is misled. This is because at higher altitudes the oxygen in the air itself is lesser. This by default makes your body adapt to the specific demands. When you wear an altitude mask, the oxygen in the air does not change. It just reduces the amount of oxygen that you can take it by putting a blocker between the air and your respiratory system. © Training Mask While doing low-intensity work, you can still easily get away with it but doing HIIT or hardcore training or lifting in the gym, this can have fatal consequences as well. A person can become unconscious due to lesser air being received during exercise and can injure himself. The training mask could even make you perform in a poor way due to interference with your breathing. Add heavy lifting to this insanity, which some people surprisingly do, you are cooking a recipe for disaster. If you really want to build higher endurance or say get better at utilizing oxygen, do two things: 1. Train for aerobic performance and adaptations. 2. Practice more breathing techniques that help you hold more air in your system when exercising. Want to get high altitude training adaptations? Go train at higher altitudes aka in the mountains. These high-altitude masks do nothing and may potentially harm you if you use it in the gym. Oh, the one advantage it has is that it will make a cool Instagram picture and make you look like Bane or Darth Vader inside the gym. 3. Do you happen to remember that really hilarious scene in the TV series 'Friends', where Joey wears all of Chandler's clothes, including his boxers, just because they were in an argument? Well, of course, you remember, that scene. It's downright funny and we've seen it at least ten times already! But here, you can still refresh your memory: Why are we even taking about this scene? Well, because a woman did something similar with her clothes and we think she pulled off a 'Joey' pretty damn well! A woman in Manchester pulled off a Joey by wearing at least 4kg of clothes on her because the flight she was booked in gave her a tough time! 30-year-old Natalie Wynn was travelling to Fuerteventura via a flight with a friend and the airline official weighed her bag and found out it was 9.4 kilos, which was 3.4 kilos more than the actual limit. The woman was given no choice than to pay £65, which is INR 5,800. She obviously refused to pay such an exorbitant amount and started emptying her bags and wearing all her clothes one by one! © Instagram “I put on four dresses, two pairs of shorts, I tied a dress around my neck, put a skirt on, I shoved two dresses down the dresses I had on, and two pairs of shoes as well, and a cardigan” she told a popular international publication. With so many clothes on, it wasn't easy for her to breath and it was significantly hot but people around her were cheering for her, so that gave her hope to travel wearing all her luggage! “There were people around us cheering us on because after I did it my friend decided she would do it too because her baggage was also overweight. We were definitely a sight walking on to the plane” she added. © Instagram While other passengers did offer Natalie some space in their luggage for her clothes, the airline officials didn't allow that. So Natalie had no choice really but to face the heat and that too quite literally! But as soon as she got on the plane, she started taking the extra clothes off one by one and it was quite a task. She had to do it because otherwise, she would have passed out from the heat! © Instagram This is seriously such a great reminder of the iconic show, which we still happen to catch once every while! Looking at Natalie's dedication to resolve this matter by wearing all her clothes instead, one of the airline spokespeople said, "later this month we are increasing our hand baggage allowance to 8kg. This will hopefully help her travel a little less like Joey from 'Friends' next time!” © Instagram Well, good job Nat! You actually changed some airline rules around by pulling off the Joey stunt. So proud of you!
  4. 'Kalank' promotions are in full swing, and every time the star cast steps out, they bowl us over with their style game. Given the grandeur of the movie, the outfits are also grand, but Aditya Roy Kapoor just flouted this pattern by wearing a pair of Air Jordans which are super funky, and surprisingly affordable as well. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Aditya is wearing the Nike Don C Jordan Legacy, a hybrid sneaker inspired by 3 basketball shoes - the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and Nike Alpha Force Low. © Sneaker News © Sneaker News A homage to the 1980s, the best thing about these sneakers is the fact that they come in 3 exciting colourways (Aditya is wearing perhaps the funkiest of them all, the one with the pink), and are extremely affordable at the same time, with the price of around Rs 11,000/-. © Sneaker News © Sneaker News We are in love with the pair because of its versatility and conspicuousness at the same time. Let's just say it's a definite collectable!
  5. Aparshakti Khurana's style game has been on fire this year. From casually wearing the most unusual accessories to setting ramps on fire, this man is unstoppable right now and he clearly has no intentions of slowing down anytime soon. He recently attended the Filmfare awards in an outfit that screams 'Desi chhora with a Hypebeast twist'. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani It's lit, right? We're obsessed with the super classy, quintessential striped kurta with a rustic organic vibe. But, what got us on our feet is what he decided to wear for lowers. He went for a statement white dhoti, draped to perfection, and paired it with a pair of - wait for it - Balenciaga sneakers. © Viral Bhayani © Instagram/Aparshakti_Khurana Like, what? Who even thinks of a pairing like this one? This one especially is tricky because A, it's extremely difficult to pull off an extreme mix-n-match like this one, and B, no one has done it before! Our Bollywood biggies love their Balenciagas, yes, but to pair them with a desi dhoti? Only someone who is extremely secure and sure about their style game will even attempt it. Aparshakti clearly has not only 'attempted' it, but sent it right outside the boundary. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani We like how even his accessories are a mix of 'desi' and 'phoren'. The white pocket square screams royalty, while the futuristic eyewear gives the whole outfit its inimitable edge. © Viral Bhayani Applause, Apar! More 'shakti' to your fashion game!
  6. Jim Sarbh undoubtedly has to be the quirkiest style icon we have seen in a while, and the best bit is, he is absolutely nonchalant about it. Right from pulling off gender-neutral clothing to hitting huge mainstream fashion sixers, this man is what we call a 'woke fashionista'. His delightful nonchalance just got reflected again, when he casually took an auto ride while going for a date - that too wearing the funkiest, most colourful shirt ever. © Viral Bhayani Now, it's not every day we get to see a celeb roaming around casually, taking a tour of the city in a rick, but it's Jim we're talking about, someone who's known for being a non-conformist, even in seemingly trivial daily occurrences like this one here. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani When it comes to his outfit, we're in love with the multicoloured extravaganza. The neon-bright shades of green, purple, and chrome are popping everywhere, and we take that as an extension of the whole IDGAF swag going on inside that rick. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Let's just say Jim clearly is as unorthodox (read, cool) as the clothes he wears. Nothing makes for a cooler date, tbh!
  7. Ranveer Singh just crossed 20M followers on Instagram. Now, this definitely does warrant a celebration, but when you're Ranveer Singh, you're just designed to make the most out of everything. So, he celebrated it in a way that probably got him another 100k followers within a few hours. He wore a pair of shoes that legit has wings. No, we are not kidding. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Not that he's alien to wearing strange shoes, but just look at those sneakers! What is even happening here? Do they fly? Do they help him run faster? Do they make Deepika scream 'Yasss!' or 'Nooooo!' out loud? The possibilities are endless. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Ranveer is wearing the Adidas Originals Indian Wings designed by the iconic Jeremy Scott. Now they might actually not fly, but hey, knowing Ranveer, his spirits must have been on cloud 9 after wearing these babies. What can be a more fitting pair of shoes (no pun intended) for the king of maximalism? © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno © Guillermosubuno The shoes are so extra, you almost don't even pay attention to the traffic-stopping kaleidoscope he is wearing otherwise. The colours are popping in all the right kind of ways, and they the ensemble matches the shoes to a T. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Sometimes we wonder, how drab would our lives have been, if not for Ranveer? We at least can vicariously live on the rainbow of fashion with fluffy clouds and unicorns, thanks to this man right here. You do you, Ranveer!
  8. On the fourth day of Lakmé Fashion Week, Sanya Malhotra, the 'Badhaai Ho' star walked the Summer/Resort 2019 ramp for Alcis X Nari powered by R|Elana,c, a collection which is a result of a collaboration between Alcis Sports and designer Narendra Kumar. © Instagram What makes this collection special is the fact that the fabric used in this collection is manufactured by recycling using PET bottles. © Instagram Yes, we're talking about millions of used bottles of juices and fizzy drinks that go to waste every single day. Take a look at the runway which was symbolic of all the waste that accumulates to damage the earth over time. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alcis (@alcissports) on Feb 3, 2019 at 12:28am PST However, there is a way around not polluting the environment that not only reduces trash but also provides a great alternative to fast fashion. Fast fashion entails all those multinational clothing brands that spring in the new seasonal trends weekly in the stores near you at mysteriously dirt cheap prices. There is an obvious hidden cost that you pay when you buy these clothes. What you don't realise is that you're harming the environment around you as these mass-produced clothes, which are not meant to last long in your closet, only create junk that makes the environment a toxic place to live in. This collection, however, brings sustainability to gym wear. Entirely made out of recycled polyester sourced from PET bottles incorporated with the latest technologies like dry-tech, anti-odour and anti-static, the collection features T-shirts, joggers, bombers, blazers, layered jackets and leggings in prints inspired by Indian textiles and Indian art. Take a look. © Instagram © Instagram © Instagram View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alcis (@alcissports) on Feb 3, 2019 at 12:28am PST This is precisely why you should switch to eco-friendly brands that help the environment become a better place for you.
  9. Whatever style gaffes Suniel Shetty might be a victim of during the '90s, he has more than made up for all of that now. He probably is the fittest dad in Bollywood right now with grown up kids, and his fashion game is so on point that the only proper analogy would be that of aging wine. From giving 25-year-olds a run for their money to giving SRK style complex, this man is a force to reckon with. He just proved it once again by attending Amit Thackeray's wedding reception wearing a plain white dhoti and making it look runway-ready. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The white cotton dhoti is perhaps the most 'Indian' outfit of all times, when it comes to menswear, but it is terribly underrated. Be it the comfort, the grace, or the raw, natural, masculine appeal it exudes - there is no other outfit that can score better. Suniel Shetty clearly understands it, as he stood tall, wearing a simple dhoti amongst the glam and glitz around, and stealing everyone's thunder nonetheless. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani A white kurta and a cotton dhoti not only makes for the most comfortable outfit ever, it is also the most regal one - in a sophisticated, subtle manner. The fact that he chose to wear a pair of brown Kolhapuris with it, and kept it comfy yet classy, shows that his style game is as effortlessly functional as it is smart. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is the new crop of Bollywood youngsters need a style lesson from him about how to keep it simple yet stunning, urgently. Kudos!
  10. When you have a physique like Tiger Shroff, you don't really need to put a lot of thought about what to wear. However, Tiger clearly doesn't believe in that and pulls off #OOTDs that are definitely Insta-worthy. He just gave us a glimpse of that with his latest outfit, which was deceptively simple but contained a piece that was 'statement' in the truest sense of the term. He wore a pair of bell-bottoms that were delightfully extra and reminded us of the huge bell-bottoms from the '70s. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani The super roomy pair is something you need guts of steel to carry off, simply because of the unusual (bordering on weird) silhouette they give rise to. © Viral Bhayani Tiger was sagaciously fashionable to have worn it with a navy blue fitted T-shirt of a similar shade, because going minimal on top is the only way one can carry it off without committing a fashion blunder. © Viral Bhayani The best thing about the look is that it's not over the top, but still makes a statement that's remarkably 'high-fashion'. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Maybe it's time to bring back the '70s to the mainstream fashion scene after all!
  11. Let's talk about pants for a minute. Getting a perfect fit for your pants is more often than not neglected. Men's pants are either too tight or too lose. Normally, less thought is given to how a pair of pants fits than how it looks while the latter is equally pants. You need well-fitted pants not just for achieving a polished outfit but also for your own sake, because well-fitted pants can be really comfortable. Anyway, wearing ill-fitted pants to an interview is a big mistake. I mean the most obvious pointer is that if they're too baggy and falling off like this if you forget a belt one day: via GIPHY Then you get rid of them. But in case you're confused about how to judge what a comfortable pair of pants looks like, here is a guide to help you with that. 1) The Pinch Test © stitch fix man You need to pinch your pants while you're wearing it. Ideally, you should be able to pinch about 1 inch of fabric but not more. If you can pinch more, that means your pants are lose and you should get a smaller size. Your pants should never fit too tight or bend at the knees. 2) The Consistency Test via GIPHY You don't want your pants to be so uncomfortable that you have problems adjusting while sitting and standing up. A pair of pants with the said tightness won't let you move around freely which defeats the purpose of pants. Trust me, if you get the fit right, you won't even realize you're wearing pants. They'll feel like PJs. For that, your pants need to feel consistent around your butt and lower legs. A similar circumference ensures a good fit. 3) Never Trust A Number via GIPHY The waist size that you have might not match with the waist size of some other brand. Within a brand, what is a 36 this year, might not be the same next year. You need to go to the trial room or get fittings done properly. You can't assume your size. Never make that mistake. 4) The No Break Check You need to check if your pants end right above your ankle to create a no-break effect. This complements your body structure, and will make you look taller as well.
  12. Christmas is around the corner, and it's only normal to have themed parties. Hell, it's even cool to have them. But, things might just take a tricky turn when you've been pranked by your buddies. Looks like Ryan Reynolds just had to go through that when Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal pulled one on him. Actually, now that we look at it, it sure looks like Wolverine and Mysterio teamed up against Deadpool. © The Hollywood Reporter Ryan Reynolds just put up an Instagram post where he attended a party, wearing a super festive and ugly sweater that legit looks like a gift was wrapped with a massive golden ribbon (that has been made into a bow). His headline reads: "These fu*king a**holes said it was a sweater party." © Instagram/vancityreynolds Clearly, he's not amused. Hugh and Jake, on the other hand, look like they're about to collapse from laughing so hard. © Instagram/vancityreynolds Who needs enemies when you have friends like this? Anyway, what we discovered is that we are ready for another crossover that has Wolverine, Deadpool, and Mysterio. Marvel, are you listening?
  13. With the four-match Test series just a week away, the Indian cricket team is leaving no stone unturned in their bid to prepare themselves for the big challenge against Australia. After a 1-1 draw in the rain-hit T20I series, the visitors are currently engrossed with a one-off practice match against Cricket Australia (CA) XI in Sydney. However, India's preparations suffered an early jolt after incessant rains ensured that the first day's play was washed off without a single ball being bowled. But, while Kohli's gym session and his gaming stint with Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw on PlayStation 4 (PS4) grabbed the limelight on Day 1, his decision to wear shorts for the toss of India's warm-up game irked cricket fans. Early on Day 2, with the stands of the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) all empty, Kohli walked out to the pitch for the toss wearing a sweatshirt and grey shorts. On the other hand, Kohli's counterpart Sam Whiteman was seen dressed in the full Test kit. Kohli's devil-may-care attitude evoked a strong response on the social media where many cricket fans labelled the Indian skipper as the king of 'Thug Life'. CA XI have won the toss and will field first #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/J8fb8BJp8x — BCCI (@BCCI) November 28, 2018 Barring KL Rahul who was dismissed for just three runs, the Indian batsmen looked pretty convincing against the new ball. Shaw, who opened the innings with Rahul, looked in sublime form, scoring a masterful 66 before being dismissed by Daniel Fallins. Kohli (64) and Cheteshwar Pujara (54), too, got some runs as India witnessed as many as five fifties being scored on Day 2. But, while the Indian batsmen - noticeably young Shaw - gave a glimpse of what to expect in the upcoming Test series, it was eventually Kohli - with his shorts at the toss - that became the talking point on the social media. 14. Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar are perhaps the most competitive people in Bollywood. While KJo always makes sure that no one stands a chance when it comes to the conquests of his sartorial adventures, Akshay Kumar does it in life. The recent 'Koffee With Karan' episodes are proof. We just saw a glimpse of that IRL. KJo stepped out wearing an insane pair of shoes, like he usually does. Take a look. © Viral Bhayani He's wearing the 2 Chainz X Versace Chain Reaction sneakers. © Viral Bhayani The statement white bulky sole with chain link details makes the pair stand out, along with the black and red colour palette. © Viral Bhayani You'd think it would be near impossible to beat this pair in terms of making a statement, but Khiladi Kumar clearly thought otherwise. He stepped out in a pair that stood out in its own right, and how! Take a look. © Viral Bhayani High tops are in, but Akshay has always been one to stick to the basics, and not go all out in terms of sticking to a trend. Clearly, times are changing and so is he. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Just look at that insane pair of white sneakers. Not only are they runway-ready, they are giving a whole new dimension to Akki's all-black athleisure outfit. © Viral Bhayani Do we have a new fashionista to look out for in Bollywood? Let's just say KJo sure has competition.
  15. The moment Ranveer and Deepika shared their wedding announcement on Instagram, a particular round of memes started doing the rounds on the Internet. 'Ranveer is going to wear a Lehenga on his own wedding' was the essence of those memes. Now, a typical Indian man would probably feel a lot of emotions in such a scenario - ranging from anger to embarrassment, but Ranveer Singh is no ordinary man. He dealt with it like a pro, and shut the trolls up in a way that should be legit textbook material. He went ahead and wore an insane Angrakha by Sabyasachi with an elaborate flare - an outfit that gave all the Lehengas and skirts of the world a run for their money. © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Just look at that man, will you? Hell, he probably wore it to hide his massive steel balls. Take THAT, haters! © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Who else can take a joke, and convert that into a statement? Actually, that was just a bi-product of his nonchalance tbh. We're sure Ranveer didn't even flinch once the memes started pouring in. He went ahead and did his own thing, just like he has been doing it since he stepped inside the kaleidoscope called Bollywood. © Instagram/Deepikapadukone Plus he got Deepika as a partner in crime - someone who has always conducted herself with utmost grace and sophistication in the industry, even in the face of difficulty (remember 'Padmaavat release?) © Instagram/Ranveersingh Clearly, Deepika probably just told him, "You do you, baby." And boy, did he, and how. © Instagram/Ranveersingh Can we also take a moment to appreciate the Goddess that Deepika is, here? Look at that zen face, while being absolutely gorgeous at the same time. © Instagram/Deepikapadukone We don't care how cliched this term is, we will still go ahead and say that this couple is legit #CoupleGoals.
  16. The big day is almost here, finally. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are about to tie the knot in a day. After endless guesswork and conjectures, we finally have some direction on what Baba might be wearing on his big day. Just like last years mega wedding - the behemoth Virushka phenomenon - this year's biggest wedding may also just have Sabyasachi's name written all over it. Not convinced? Take a look here. View this post on Instagram A post shared by yogen shah (@yogenshah_s) on Nov 9, 2018 at 1:56pm PST When it comes to traditional Indian wear, after all, what is the first name that comes to your mind, anyway? Let's just say Ranveer wearing Sabyasachi makes perfect sense, and we are beyond excited. While we still don't know what exactly Baba will be wearing, we definitely can get close in terms of guesswork. Here, we have compiled a list of 10 Sabyasachi groom outfits, that may just be the inspiration behind Ranveer's wedding outfit. 1. Our first pick is this pink number with an elaborate flare. Ranveer loves pink, and he will look stunning in this beige and pink ensemble. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 2. All of us are familiar with Ranveer's fascination with floral prints and patterns. An outfit like this one here does complete justice to that. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 3. Ranveer likes pop colours, and a sophisticated quilted green number like this one here will be perfect. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 4. Ranveer likes experimenting and surprising his fans. What is he goes ahead with a traditional, suave black sherwani with a statement ivory shawl? © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 5. 'Exuberant' should be the primary adjective to describe Ranveer's wedding outfit, and this embroidered sherwani along with a safa, adorned with diamonds, emeralds, and pearls fit the bill perfectly. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 6. Ranveer is fond of maximalism, and what better to opt for than an opulent sherwani, embroidered top to bottom with gorgeous threadwork? © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 7. We think Ranveer will look divine in this Royal Prussian Blue sherwani with a matching shawl. Striking, yet classy. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 8. This rare aesthetic comprising of shades of green and yellow makes for a sherwani that is a definitive head-turner. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 9. Ranveer has a history of wearing white to weddings, and he might just pull a stunner like this one for his own. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial 10. We associate this super rich shade of rose with a typical Sabyasachi lehenga (which the designer fondly has named 'Gulaab'), and Ranveer might just turn out to be the signature Sabyasachi groom - one who will be referred to as the benchmark when it comes to wedding attires for generations to come. © Instagram/Sabyasachiofficial All we can say is that we can't wait.
  17. Isn't Diwali the festival of lights? Who made it the festival of firecrackers? Like what's even the point of crackers. All they do is create noise and just worsen the already bad air. But, even after seeing how bad the smog in Delhi has been, people did not learn their lesson and continued bursting crackers, that too way past the permitted time, since Delhi people can do whatever the **** they want because “woh dilli se hai, bc”. So, obviously the air is worse, and people can't breathe. Not a big deal, right? It's not like we need oxygen to survive or anything. But, some genius people found a way to breathe properly and even burst crackers. They wore breathing masks while bursting crackers. For real. Take some time for the irony to sink in. No words for these smart people! Wearing mask and bursting crackers..#DelhiPollution pic.twitter.com/qBl8OV5quZ — Happie Soul! 18. Unless you have decided not to watch any non-Radhika Apte Netflix series, you will know that Chris Hemsworth will mark his Netflix debut with the movie 'Dhaka'. Hemsworth is currently in India, not as a tourist, but shooting for his upcoming project, 'Dhaka' directed by the Russo Brothers. But Hemsworth's social media is proof that Thor is having a better time than any other tourist, as he continues to excite his fans and followers with his posts. 19. It's Shah Rukh Khan's birthday today. It should have been a national holiday, ideally, at least for women throughout the country, but it's not an ideal world after all. But it's the king of romance we're talking about, so we're all celebrating it anyway. So is he, in Mannat. But what struck us the hardest on this birthday is his choice of outfit. Take a look! © Viral Bhayani SRK is legit wearing a shirt made out of what looks like the quintessential desi 'gamchha'. There isn't a man in the country who hasn't used one of these to dry themselves after a shower. They might have become a little tough to spot of late, thanks to the reign of fluffy towels, but move a little beyond metro cities, and you can still easily spot these beauties everywhere. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Though we're a little perplexed about his choice of fabric, we think it doesn't look bad at all! In fact, it looks like the desi cousin of a plaid jacket. Plus, it looks really, really comfortable. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani All we can say is that he is probably the only person in Bollywood who can pull off a statement piece like this while giving 'zero' hoots (see what we did there?) Happy Birthday, SRK!
  20. When it comes to stylish Indian cricketers, Virat Kohli takes the cake. Right from his signature beard style to the fade hairstyle to his outfits to the sneakers he wears as a part of the racy street style he clearly is in love with, Virat is all about new age style. One style statement we always have loved, as far as he is concerned, is his affinity for white sneakers. He gave us an insight into his personal style statement and shared 4 super cool tips about styling your outfit when you're wearing white sneakers. Take a look: 1. "Joggers are a style staple for me. Pair them with joggers and a simple/graphic print tee to give you a trendy but simple look. This entire ensemble is super comfy and is my go-to airport/travel look." © Puma 2. "My style is more minimalistic so – I pair a casual tee with regular or distressed jeans along with white sneakers for a cool casual look. If you want to dress it up add a shirt on top of your tee and roll up the sleeves." © BCCL 3. "Getting brunch ready with white sneakers is easy. They are so versatile you can pair them with shorts and a nice printed shirt to achieve that comfy chic look." 4. "Another favourite is pairing sneakers with a suave suit. I personally prefer darker coloured suits like navy and black with a nice tee or a shirt depending on how formal the occasion is. Add white sneakers to make your outfit look young and cool." © Yogen Shah © Wrogn © Puma Virat's love for sneakers even drove him to design a pair of sneakers for Puma recently, called the One8 Basket. © Puma © Puma
  21. Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. The multi-talented actor has been delivering good performances consistently for quite some time now, and his films are turning out to be really entertaining. However, he clearly is adept at carrying more than just big films on his able shoulders. His clothes are big too, quite literally. Confused? Take a look at the trousers he stepped out wearing, for 'Badhaai Ho' screening. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali © Viral Bhayani As big as those pants are, we absolutely love them. The pleated, super wide silhouette looks phenomenal, mainly because of their construction and fall. We like fact that they have been paired with the grey jacket, and a translucent white shirt. © Viral Bhayani When it comes to accessories, we totally like the minimalistic vibe going on with the statement glasses and the watch. The fact that he hasn't gone overboard, shows that he totally understands the nuances of the new-age street aesthetic. © Instagram - Isha Bhansali When you have a pair of pants that are this statement, you can totally wear a super simple shirt and button it up till the top for a sophisticated and ramp-ready look. Adding a jacket would be ideal when it comes to dealing with the nip in the air, for the fancy evening stroll. © Viral Bhayani We love the chunky white sneakers that he has been wearing frequently of late. They clearly are super versatile. In a nutshell, we are loving this unusual aesthetic, Ayushmann. Kudos!
  22. Vertical stripes should be a staple in every man's wardrobe. Why we think so? Shahid Kapoor has been religiously wearing them for the promotion of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', and not only do we think he has never looked better, we also decoded a few style lessons from those outfits. Read on! © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani When Shahid Kapoor stepped out in kickass outfits by Sahil Aneja and Kunal Rawal, not only did we marvel at the classy elegance of the ensembles, we also couldn't get over the fact that they were extremely wearable despite being impressively fashion-forward. Now, coming to why we think the inclusion of vertical stripes are a win-win: 1. Vertical stripes are all about the illusion of height. They make you look taller than you are, and who has ever complained about a little bit of extra height, even if you don't need it? © Viral Bhayani 2. Vertical stripes make you look slimmer. If you're not extremely skinny, go for it, by all means. Vertical stripes will definitely make you look trimmer than you actually are, and make you look fitter. © Viral Bhayani 3. The best thing about vertical stripes is that, they are extremely versatile. You can wear them for casual, as well as formal occasions, and they will never look out of place. For formal meetings, a well-fitted vertical striped shirt paired with solid trousers work the best. For casual affairs, you can take a leaf out of Shahid's style book right here and go for striped overalls for that edgy yet supremely functional outfit.
  23. White sneakers, we feel, are really underrated. From comfort to fit, to style, which other footwear allows you as much versatility? Wear it with casuals, street style, or even with a suit, you can never go wrong. Kartik Aaryan clearly believes the same, and often steps out wearing statement white sneakers. Continuing the streak of good taste, he recently wore a pair that we think are the best looking pair of white sneakers we have seen this year. © Viral Bhayani Kartik is wearing the Y-3 KUSARI II white sneakers by Adidas. The edgy pair boasts of a smooth neoprene upper, which is accented with leather details and has an engineered lacing system for enhanced stability. © store.y-3.com The shoes are cushioned with 'boost', which Adidas Y-3 claims is the most responsive cushioning they have used in a shoe. © store.y-3.com With the Y-3 logo graphic woven on the tongue, Drawcord eyestay, and EVA heel piece for support, the Y-3 Kusari II is a force to be reckoned with, when it comes to white sneakers. © store.y-3.com Coming to how much they cost, the Adidas Y-3 Kusari II is worth 485 Euros, which when converted to INR is Rs 41,257/-. © Viral Bhayani Coming to the rest of his outfit, we are in love with the denim-on-denim aesthetic. The relaxed grey T-shirt he's wearing inside complements the blue of the jeans and the denim shirt. Talk about a stylistically nonchalant but classy outfit! © Viral Bhayani Still on top of your fashion game, Kartik. Kudos!
  24. It's been a week since the landmark ruling, that scrapped the outdated section 377 that criminalised so many innocent people, barring them from enjoying the basic human rights. But, it's all gone now and even though it hasn't magically solved all the problems the LGBTQ community faces, it's the best step in the right direction which will make sure that change follows soon. People have been showing support way before the ruling and obviously did not stop after the historical moment. It's just the beginning and so much more support is needed, and everyone is doing just that. The CE of Alliance India with @GautamGambhir at #HijraHabba 2018. #BornThisWay pic.twitter.com/zwcpY4vO4E — Alliance India (@AllianceinIndia) September 11, 2018 Gautam Gambhir has always been vocal about his opinions and stands up for what he believes in, and was also recently spotted sporting a dupatta and a bindi as a way of showing support for the transgender people. This all went down when the cricketer attended the inauguration of the seventh edition of the Hijra Habba in New Delhi. © Twitter The event that took place at a mall in the capital city saw a bunch of trans people come together for the annual Hijra Habba a couple of days ago. The theme was 'Born This Way' and was organised by the HIV/AIDS Alliance India. The main focus was to show solidarity among the community and empower everyone. It was also a way of educating people, that no matter what, they have the talent to do the best for the country in all the respective fields. © Twitter Couldn't agree more, tbh! What a great initiative and kudos to Gautam Gambhir for stepping up and being a part of it.
  25. White as a colour is so underrated when it comes to mainstream menswear, that it almost has become a rare sight nowadays to spot a good white ensemble. Thanks to the reign of black everywhere, right from formal-wear to classy casuals, the colour of purity has almost lost its presence in the mainstream fashion domain. However, there are a few fashion-forward individuals who still experiment, and aren't hesitant to take a risk. Exhibit A: Ayushmann Khurrana. Ayushmann is one of the rare few actors in Bollywood who is always one step ahead of the rest, when it comes to playing with unusual silhouettes, and colours too. Here, we have compiled a list of 7 outfits from his wardrobe, which can act as solid fashion inspiration for men who love wearing white. 1. If you're a fan of calculated maximalism, go for this look right here. Pick white for everything - right from your shirt, to blazer, to your bowtie, but make sure there is detailing with other colours involved, just like the play of black here. Accessorize well, and you're all set for a head-turning party attire. © Instagram/ishabhansali 2. Three piece suits will never go out of style. You know how you can put in a twist? Make two out of the three pieces white, and include a detailing with the colour of trousers you're wearing. Simple, but stunning. © Instagram/ishabhansali 3. Nothing is as classy as a good layered outfit. Ayushmann has used the same checked fabric for the trousers and the jacket (look at the collar construction), and a smaller check for his button-down shirt. © Instagram/ishabhansali 4. A twist on the quintessential Bengali style white kurta, Ayushmann is wearing a piece that deviates from the straightforward construction, and includes a wrap-around-and-tie feature. © Instagram/ishabhansali 5. If you want to avoid going for a completely white ensemble, mix and match. Ayushmann has thrown on a super quirky jacket on a white kurta, and added a casual flare to the outfit with his statement sneakers. © Instagram/ishabhansali 6. A well-constructed, well fitted bandhgala can be paired with basic trousers, and a jacket can be thrown on top for that avant garde aesthetic. © Instagram/ishabhansali 7. Last but not the least, a tuxedo shirt is a fail-safe party starter. Pair it with a statement bow-tie and a silk cummerbund, and you'll be all ready to set the dance floor on fire. © Instagram/ishabhansali The wedding season is right here, and these outfits are tailor-made, if you want to leave an impression.
