  1. Jason Momoa aka Khal Drogo made his exit from 'Game of Thrones' over 9 years ago but you still feel his presence in spirit. From 'GOT' get-togethers to cheerleading for his 'Khaleesi', Momoa has never once taken a back seat from being an enthu-cutlet for the show. So, it was only obvious for fans to wait for his reaction towards the finale and he did join the party of disappointed fans, but only a bit late. Last night, Momoa went live on social media and got very furious when he saw his beloved Khaleesi dying. Jason Momoa had a very NSFW reaction to Dany's death in the 'Game of Thrones' finale 𤬠(via prideofgypsies | Instagram)pic.twitter.com/xQbV2TzkwT — Fandom (@getFANDOM) May 21, 2019 So he basically spoke for all of us since he was also like 'WTF just happened here'? 2. Vivek Oberoi has become the hot topic of discussion over the meme he posted comparing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's personal relationships to the 2019 Exit Polls. He received severe backlash from social media users and Bollywood celebs over his tweet, people did not hold back from making him realize that involving Aishwarya, his ex, was nothing but disrespectful. Succumbing to pressure, Vivek tweeted out an apology and even deleted the meme from his account. © Twitter What caught our attention now, is one of the tweets by Aishwarya's father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, hours before Vivek posted the meme. “T 3170 - Correction : Social मà¥à¤¡à¤¿à¤¯à¤¾ पर सà¥à¤ समठà¤à¤° à¤à¤¼à¤¿à¤à¥à¤° à¤à¤°à¥, ठदà¥à¤¸à¥à¤¤ à¤à¤¹à¥à¤ सामाà¤à¤¿à¤ à¤à¤¤à¤¬à¤¾à¤° सॠà¤à¤¼à¥à¤° मà¥à¤¨à¤¾à¤¸à¤¿à¤¬ ना हॠ!! ~ ab rj.” Well, even before Vivek tweeted the meme, Big B's prophecy was already there on Twitter as a warning. If Vivek had checked Big B's tweet, he would have avoided making such a massive gaffe. Can't help but wonder if Big B has prophetic powers. He had put out a tweet shortly before Sridevi's death, and this tweet was put at 12:07 pm & at 1:23 pm Vivek Oberoi tweeted about Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan & Abhishek Bachchan.” In the very same chain, many other social media users felt the same thing and appreciated his sixth sense. Must say that AB's tweets have prophetic tendencies. Well, Vivek, you really missed a great piece of advice coming straight from Aishwarya's father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan.
  3. The very popular, albeit annoying to the level of self-destruction, Chinese video making application TikTok has been finally taken down from Google and Apple app stores in India. The (awesome) news comes after the Madras High Court prohibited its downloads on 3rd April. Now, following the direction of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the app has been temporarily banned in the country. © Twitter The popular app which was actively used by millions of Indians to create short videos was said to contain “inappropriate content”, in a petition filed by senior advocate S Muthukumar. He further stated that children using the app were vulnerable to potential paedophiles using the application, and sought an immediate ban on the use of TikTok. © Justdial While there is strong merit in those allegations, we must recall that Indonesia also temporarily blocked TikTok last year, saying that it contained pornography and blasphemous content. Perhaps it is really time for TikTok to take a step back and think about regulating its content and privacy/security details. View this post on Instagram Comments how that vedio you like or not ??? So, true to that data, imagine the insane amount of video “content” that is being churned out on the platform on a daily basis. While some can be genuinely fun to look at (only once in a while), most other videos are pure torture to the beholder. While this news must be heart-breaking for Indian TikTok 'stars', the following cringey videos are all the proof we need that the ban is in all of our best interest. What did we just see?! 4. We're only half way through April and already sweating like a pig in the scorching heat, but for some people 'winter is here'. A winter that includes lots of dragons, swords, *** and brutal deaths. © HBO Just like most people, I too was waiting for 'Game of Thrones' final season to air. Not because I am a die-hard fan or something, but to laugh at memes and jokes that will probably make no sense to me, and yet are damn funny. Also, because I am done with the barrage of tweets and posts on my timeline, talking about the Starks, Lannisters, Jon Snow, betrayals, reunions, and the White Walkers. © HBO Yesterday, when I walked into my office, everyone was busy discussing the first episode of season 8. My friends stared at me in disgust that how can someone not watch GOT. I could hear the bells ringing and people shouting 'Shame' in the background. But, at least I had a good sleep since I didn't wake up at 6:30 AM to watch the episode. Plus, I can check social media to my heart's content, without worrying about spoilers and send spoilers to people I hate. Sadly, the GOT fandom couldn't infect me at all. How I'll sleep tonight knowing I've never seen an episode of Game of Thrones pic.twitter.com/tQXpXnnwrj — Ryan Schocket (@RyanSchocket) April 15, 2019 Honestly, I have never really understood the hype around the show. I won't lie, at one point I did give in to the cultural pressure of missing out on something more important than 'global issues'. I tried watching an episode (actually I was forced by my colleagues who probably run a GOT fan club), but I just couldn't sit through it. Not even for Priyanka Chopra's 'devrani ji'. © HBO But, what I did understand was that I am not the only one who has never watched 'Game of Thrones'. There are people like me who have never seen the show and probably never will, and neither do they care about who sits on the throne. AND looks like the society HAS accepted people like us. by not watching game of thrones did i miss out on a big cultural moment? probably - but none of you guys listen to enough jazz so whatever — Natalie Weiner (@natalieweiner) April 14, 2019 Ever since HBO confirmed the final season, internet is divided between those who watch it, and those who troll people for not watching it. 5. What started out as one of the most boring matches of the twelfth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between the inaugural league winners, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suddenly became a centre of controversies, hot arguments and some really weird and wacky moments in the tournament's history. Ahead of what was considered to be MS Dhoni's biggest outburst of rage and frustration with the on-field umpires' inability to make accurate decisions especially during the crucial moments of the match which could have caused Chennai the match had it not been for Mitchell Santner's heroic six at the final delivery, the CSK skipper was having one of the better innings of the season. In a 'Man of the Match' worthy showing, Dhoni scored an efficient 58 off 43 balls helping his side get closer to the win. The leader of the pride in all glory with the bat! #Thala for a reason! #WhistlePodu #Yellove ð¦ð pic.twitter.com/jmpr3ZJfXR — Chennai Super Kings (@ChennaiIPL) April 11, 2019 While Dhoni was still present on the non-striker's end, CSK needed a total of 18 runs from the final six balls to register their sixth victory of the season when Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was on strike with Ben Stokes running in for his first delivery of the final over. Flying to his left, Jadeja connected with Stoke's delivery and sent it flying over the bowler's head. Uncertain of how well his teammate had hit the ball, Dhoni ran for a quick single without looking behind. Jadeja, who's eyes following the white ball disappear behind the boundary, lay on his front, thanking his stars for the six. Watching Jadeja in no hurry to get up, Dhoni finally dared to look behind and realised what the batsman had done. Astounded by the uncanny shot, Dhoni thought of a befitting way to appreciate Jaddu's shot: by funnily hitting his head with the bat multiple times. ðð¤ Super funny Dhoni moment#CSK #DhoniRoaring #dhoni #SRHvMI #WhistlePoduArmy@msdfansofficial pic.twitter.com/cFOtAK0ijB — KAJAAð¦ (@KajaVinoth) April 12, 2019 Jadeja was an integral part of the effort put in by the team to give CSK the number one spot on the points table of the league. 6. 2018 was the year when smartphone manufacturers tried weird ways to maximize their phone's screen-to-body ratio. From sliding mechanisms to hole-punch displays, we have everything in the market now. However, ZTE has decided to go for a different approach. ZTE's new smartphones, the Axon V and Axon S, were spotted online by Notebook Italia (https://notebookitalia.it/zte-axon-s-smartphone-monolitico-slider-laterale-28088), giving us a look at the design. Instead of, say, a notch or a punch-hole display, the new phones have a drastically different design. © Notebook Italia The Axon V, as you can see, has a notch that protrudes out of the body from the side, hosting what appears to be a selfie camera and a 3D sensor. Of course, the phone now has a full-screen display on the front, but the design looks downright ugly. This weird design, which I am just going to call the 'bottle opener notch', also raise concerns about the phone's durability, and prone to fall damage, etc. It's even hard to tell if this phone will get protective cases or not. © Notebook Italia The Axon S, on the other hand, is a bit of a relief as it sports a slider design. It's a horizontal slider as opposed to the vertical sliding mechanism seen on phones like the Mi Mix 3, but I'll take it over the Axon V. ZTE has decided to throw in all the cameras i.e. both two front-facing and three rear-facing cameras on the slider, so the device has a clean black. © Notebook Italia The front of the slider also appears to have a touch-sensitive area, which I believe, can be used for zoom control. The phone is said to have a 48-megapixel main camera along with a 19-megapixel secondary shooter. Additionally, the device also offers an in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G support, and more. © Notebook Italia It is, however, worth pointing out that there's no official word on the phones from ZTE just yet. ZTE may end up scraping the design for all we know. So for now, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. But nonetheless, the renders do give us an idea of what these OEMs are cooking for us.
  7. Earlier this February, Bayern Munich did relatively well after travelling to the Anfield and restricting a rampant Liverpool brigade to a goalless draw in the first-leg of the Round of 16 clash in the UEFA Champions League. Given Liverpool's form and might, the 0-0 draw had initially tilted the Round of 16 battle in Bayern's favour ahead of the second-leg tie. But, on 14th March, when the Reds travelled to the home of the German giants, the events that unfolded at the Alliaz Arena, broke all myths that people had from the first-leg. Sadio Mane looked at his destructive best, scoring two key goals for the visitors who secured their berth for the quarterfinals on the back of a 3-1 (on aggregate) win. © Reuters The only silver lining for Niko Kovac's men turned out to be Joel Matip's own goal in 39th minute. But, even that wasn't enough to thwart the efforts of Liverpool to progress further in Europe's top competition. If Bayern's hapless performance on a wet in Munich failed to impress their fans, winger Franck Ribery's decision to sport a weird hairdo in the match, further made the butt of all jokes on the social media. For many 35-year-olds, natural hair is an absolute luxury. While some worry about losing it, others are just lucky enough to still have it. And, when you look at Ribery, you know he belongs to the latter category. But, still, for reasons unknown, the Bayern winger made a complete mess of his natural hair. © Reuters His decision to shave the sides and carve a number '7' at one end made him a laughing stock as soon as he stepped on the pitch to face Liverpool. For someone his age, Ribery looked like a kid whose bid to stand out amongst his mates went horribly wrong. Following Bayern's loss, football fans (mostly Anfield loyalists) targetted the French footballer for his surprising haircut. pic.twitter.com/VjvOGay2Tw — airlangga (@gagahyta) March 14, 2019 Franck Ribery's haircut pic.twitter.com/cw9lbEQQ9j — Cardigan Bravo (@Heisenbert) March 13, 2019 Massive respect for Franck Ribery, who paid tribute to James Milner last night by shaving our midfielder's number into his hair, aged 35 ðð¾ pic.twitter.com/obRrL8zdNq — Empire of the Kop (@empireofthekop) March 14, 2019 Absolute hacking bit of kit, this guy! ð — Chris Toft (@ChrisToft1986) March 14, 2019 Pure eye cabbage right there ð — Trev Schott (@shenobi78) March 14, 2019 ð‍âï¸ Franck Ribéry will be 36-years-old next month and he's still getting haircuts like my little cousin...#BAYLIV pic.twitter.com/kf3RL9ohSf — The Sportsman (@TheSportsman) March 13, 2019 Franck Ribéry is going to be 36 next month. 8. The Jonas Fam is perhaps the most wholesome family right now, internationally. ' Ever since our desi girl PC became a member of the family, they all started hanging out a whole lot more, so much so, that the Jonas Brothers just went ahead and made a full-on reunion video with their better halves, called 'Sucker'. © Twitter/Jonas Brothers Now, as excited as everyone is about it, the desi folks couldn't help but wonder where have they seen this before. Three brothers with their three loving spouses, singing and dancing and cycling and eating sweets - where indeed? © Rajshri 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' is a cult classic, and it was just proved once again. You know you thought of it too. © Youtube/Jonas Brothers However, 'Sucker' is fashion forward to the T. It is avant-garde, yes, but what's wrong in that? If Priyanka wants to cycle in a pink gown and elaborate, heavy-ass ear accessories, and Sophie Turner wants to enjoy a deadly match of fencing between the brothers in her feather boa, they should be able to do that without any judgment whatsoever (as they do). Weird? Yes. Fun? 9. Want to know what's worse than an already weird pair of crocs? Turning a croc shoe into a bag! Nope, we're not even kidding. This is not a good start to 2019, fashion-wise. Already a much frowned upon sandal label and a big no-no when it comes to style, crocs have taken their shoe game to a whole other level of just plain weird. Croc's new collaboration with a streetwear label Pizzaslice has resulted in the birth of satan's prodigy itself, the crocs cross-body bag. Have a look without making a what-the-hell-is-that-thing face. © instagram/@pizzaslime © instagram/@pizzaslime The bag itself is a literal croc (one shoe, not a pair) of the label's infamous design with a polyester zipper pouch for storage where the sole usually is. There's also a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap attached to each end of the shoe which makes it a cross between a fanny pack and a cross-body sling. Either way, its absurd. © store.pizzaslime.com Apparently fashion loves the croc shoe. We don't , but that's a whole other story. First there were the Christopher Kane stone embellished crocs, then the Balenciaga platform crocs and now this. © store.pizzaslime.com © store.pizzaslime.com The bag (or shoe? we're still confused) is handmade in Los Angeles and comes with 7 detachable and customizable charms. It is available in two colours, black and yellow. © store.pizzaslime.com If anyone wants one of these, as a collectible or as an accessory, they would have to fight hard for it. It's a unisex accessory and the brand is just making 25 units of these (talk about a limited edition accessory) with each one being retailed at 300$ which is around Rs. 21350 only. © instagram/@pizzaslime Here goes another attempt by Crocs to make this infamous rubber shoe cool again, if it was ever one to begin with. You're still fashion's evil foe, Croc. Maybe 2019 is finally your year.
  10. The world seems to be moving ahead on a ridiculously fast pace. Just last month, the world was going crazy over the 10 Year Challenge in which people used to compare their present self to what they used to be or how they used to look ten years ago. Eventually, the trend took over the Indian cricket team and made for an extremely loveable throwback comparing some of the greatest players like Virat Kohli, Prithvi Shaw, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to what they used to be 10 years ago. It was simple, interesting and brought a smile to your face, but sadly the internet has forgotten all about it and moved on as if it never existed. However, there is a new sheriff in town that has taken over the social media. The all-new '90s Kid Rumor' challenge expects the people on Twitter to write about all the rumours they heard and used to believe in when they were little kids. While some of the tweets are extremely nostalgic and bring back fond memories of the golden years, others are straight out random, weird and at times even unsettling speculations we had towards literally everything, which now make us realise what idiots we used to be back in the day! From the myths about collecting metal caps of the coke bottles in hopes of winning a reward to the risk of a watermelon plant growing in one tummy after swallowing watermelon seeds, the internet is bringing back the paranoia back. Nothing, not even the sporting world is being spared with the raging trend making its way to the top. 11. In September, Apple launched the iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and XR. The three phones were in-line with Apple's iPhone X design language and featured major internal changes only. Though, the smartphone industry underwent some vital changes in terms of design with companies trying their luck with everything. Huawei's P20 Pro and Mate 20 Pro have definitively taken over the mobile photography department and Google's Pixel still kicks ass with a single lens. In this polarised environment, we sure expect Apple to bring in radical changes to the iPhone. Last week, Apple stock dipped massively due to poor iPhone sales owing to their battery replacement program. © BCCL Users just aren't upgrading to a new iPhone thanks to easy and cheap battery replacements. In such a scenario, Apple needs more than just a design change. It needs to be prepared to take on aggressive competition from Samsung, Huawei, and Google. OnLeaks has shared a render that gives us our very first look at Apple's next smartphone – the iPhone XI 2019. The image shows only the rear of the device but it is a big reveal nonetheless. The rumour reveals that Apple will go out of its way to make the upcoming iPhones much special and better than ever before. © Digit x OnLeaks The leaked picture of the iPhone XI reveals that the new iPhone will come with triple rear cameras paired with LED flash. The three camera lenses are located in a squircle manner in the top left corner and the LED flash on the right corner, in an awkward, asymmetric location. At the moment, the exact details of each sensor remain unclear. If we're to guess, one of them shall be the primary lens accompanied by a telephoto sensor. The right lens could be a Time of Flight lens that is more accurate over long distance and can be used for 3D modelling. © Digit x OnLeaks It's being said that the 2019 iPhone models are currently in the Engineering Validation Test (EVT) stage, meaning it's still in early design and how the end product will look isn't finalised yet. The current design we see is very "un-Apple" because the company is known for its attention to detail, and we really hope such an asymmetric design doesn't make it to the finals. Source: Digit
  12. The lovably eccentric character of Genie from 'Aladdin' has been one of the most beloved characters for years, and it was probably because of Robin Williams. The late actor will always be known as the voice of Genie and it's obviously hard to follow in his footsteps, but Will Smith has taken on the challenge in the upcoming live-action version of 'Aladdin'. However, Disney's adaptation of the beloved animated movie seems to have gotten off to a rough start, with people not exactly being excited about the most important character - Genie. I mean, he's not even blue! That's not how it works, that's not how any of this works! A whole new world. Check out the exclusive first look at Disney's #Aladdin on the cover of the newest issue of @EW! https://t.co/WZkpxh4YNU pic.twitter.com/ch0zpbM7AQ — Walt Disney Studios (@DisneyStudios) December 19, 2018 The first picture of Will Smith in character was posted by Entertainment Weekly alongside Canadian actor Mena Massoud as Aladdin and British actress Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine. Well, ever since then, Twitter has been having the best time roasting the hell out of it and it kind of deserves it, tbh. This ain't it, chief. Ummmm.... 13. Did you know that your body slows down your kidney while you sleep? Also, if you stop sleeping, you will never have any permanent memory! Next time when you find your girlfriend looking adorable while sleeping, remember that she is registering everything you did during the daytime to use it against you in future. Here below are 10 pretty weird AF things that are happening to our body while we are in deep sleep: 1. Paralyses © Wikipedia Everytime you sleep, your body repeats a sleep cycle various times. One of the stages of this cycle is REM, i.e. Rapid Eye Movement. If someone wakes you up while you are in REM stage, you are most likely to remember your dream. While your brain is registering temporary memory into permanent slots, it paralyses your body so that your muscles will not move, interpreting these signals as commands. This is a totally different phenomenon from sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis is not being able to move even though you are conscious. Few people consider it a paranormal activity as they feel like someone is sitting on their chest. Visit your physician if you experience something similar; it could be a symptom of narcolepsy. 2. Jerking Awake © Pixabay Hypnic jerks or hypnagogic jerks make you feel like you have been jolted into consciousness. A sensation that you are falling might also be a cause for the discontinuation of your sleep. The limited studies done on the matter could not agree on a specific reason of occurrence. 3. Eye Movement If you have noticed someone's eyeball move while sleeping, don't be alarmed. Each sleep cycle lasts for around 90 minutes and REM is the final stage. During the REM stage, your pupils will quickly from left to right. 4. Producing Human Growth Hormone © Pinterest Beauty sleep isn't an utter myth. While sleeping, the blood glucose level of your body is comparatively lower. This lower glucose level is believed to trigger an essential hormone called growth hormone, also known as HGH. This hormone helps in regenerating the muscles, bone and other tissues. 5. Narrowing Of Throat © Flickr What's worse than a snoring partner? While you struggle to search for a justifiable answer to that question, let us tell you why your partner snores. Multiple situations can trigger snoring, including tonsillitis, stuffy nose, and narrow throat. The fact that your breathing pattern changes while sleeping might not surprise you, but did you know that your throat naturally narrows as your muscles are relaxing? In extreme conditions (called sleep apnea) your throat can completely close. 6. Grinding Teeth © Pinterest Bruxism is a scientific term to describe conscious teeth clenching or grinding. Most people suffer from this condition; while in some cases it may be insignificant, others end up with cracked teeth and swollen jaw muscles. This is exactly why dentists recommend some people to use mouth guards while sleeping. 7. Slowing Down Of Kidneys © Pixabay While other body organs seem to follow the hare, your kidneys consider the tortoise its idol. The kidneys' role in your body is to filter toxins out of your bloodstream and add the waste to urine. This mechanism is slowed down multiple folds to reduce the amount of urine production while you are asleep. 8. Making Up Stories © Pixabay Sometimes, there are few dreams which seem so vivid that you can't separate them from reality. Even after years of research, scientists fail to explain the stories and characters we dream about. There is no proper scientific explanation as to why certain dreams feel so real. 9. Creating An Explosion © Pinterest Exploding head syndrome is a rare condition experienced by few. These people hear a loud crash in their dreams. Most of these people explain that the voice sounds like a gunshot and is generally experienced while they are drifting off to sleep. Even though it doesn't cause any pain, it is definitely frightening for the sufferer. These people are usually adults over 50 years of age. 10. Turning Into A Chatterbox © Flickr Mumbling while dreaming is a rather common condition, in fact, it happens to about 5 per cent of the world's population. But did you know that men are more susceptible to it than women? It does not have any severe symptoms and scientists are yet to give an explanation over it. However, it is believed to be linked to another sleep issue called sleep apnea. In sleep apnea, breathing repeatedly stops and starts multiple times during the entire sleep cycle.
