  1. Many Bollywood films are inspired by other films and then go on to become extraordinary cult movies. The best part is that some of these are one of the biggest Bollywood hits and we had no clue that the stories were inspired by other films. These films are more or less taken from stories of other films and became Bollywood blockbusters that impressed the audience a lot. Some films that are copied fail terribly at the box office but that’s not the case with these films. So, here are 5 Bollywood cult movies that we didn't know were copied and now we feel betrayed- Dostana & I Pronounce You Chuck and Larry Dostana became a Bollywood blockbuster but did you know that the film was inspired by a Hollywood film starring Adam Sandler and Kevin James, I pronounce You Chuck and Larry? The Bollywood version starred Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the the lead role. However, the original version was far better and hilarious to another level. Munna Bhai MBBS & Patch Adams Now, we all loved Munna Bhai starring Sanjay Dutt, this is one film that almost everyone has watched more than once and enjoyed it as well. But, that doesn’t change the fact that the film was heavily inspired by Robbin William’s film Patch Adam. Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander & Breaking Away Yes, we know that the films are different but the theme of the films is extremely similar. Also, we love the Bollywood version of it and this film gained the cult status but Breaking Away was released in the year 1979. Partner & Hitch Both these films belong to the comedy genre and will entertain you equally. Also, there are many subplots that are different in the film but the plot of the films are more or less the same. Also, Hitch released years before Partner. Salaam-e-Ishq & Love Actually Even the posters of this film are almost the same. The movie is based on similar concept and even the direction is more or less the same. There are very little differences but someone who has watched Love Actually would know that the film is more or less a copy. View the full article
  2. Ajay Devgn is joining hands with producer Siddharth Roy Kapur for a satire set in the 90s titled Gobar. Ajay took to Instagram to announce the film. He shared a picture with Siddharth and Sabal and wrote, "Joining forces with @roykapurfilms to bring you an aMOOsing story from the heartland of India - GOBAR!" View this post on InstagramSet in the cow belt of India during the 1990s, it is an amusing satire inspired by true events that transpire when an idiosyncratic animal-loving veterinary doctor chances upon a tangled web of corruption in his local state hospital. Talking about the film, Ajay told Variety, “The story of Gobar is at once unique, relatable, and incredibly funny, as well as gripping and entertaining to the point that I’m confident it will compel people to go to the theatres. We are very clear about the impact we want to make. We want viewers to laugh, relax, perhaps think a little bit and be entertained.” Siddharth added, “Gobar is a story that chronicles the seemingly pointless but ultimately heroic journey of a simple citizen who deals with corruption in a way that will bring on many laughs, much adventure, and ultimately a simple message about the power of the common man. What makes the film entertaining and unique is that it is a situational comedy that sheds light on the inner workings of power.” When people noticed the title of the film, they started to troll and even had suggestions for the lead role like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. © Twitter Taran Adarsh © Twitter Taran Adarsh © Twitter Taran Adarsh We wonder how would Ajay react to these comments. 3. Ever wondered what makes a supervillain click with the audience? It has got something to do with style. © Warner Bros. Pictures You have your Clark Kents and your Bruce Waynes who not only have locked down the formula to be great superheroes, but also great fashion icons. But is a superhero really a superhero if they don’t have a worthy adversary? © Warner Bros. Pictures As gory and grotesque as some supervillains like Darkseid & Doomsday might be, we also have some who are extremely stylish, in their own unique way. These guys, literally are, the masters of all things evil, as well as masters of impeccable style. © Warner Bros. Pictures We list out 7 Supervillains from the DC Universe, who had an immaculate sense of style. 1. Joker © Warner Bros. Pictures No matter which iteration of the Joker you pick, that dude has some serious style chops. His impeccable suits and hairstyle might get lost in the chaos that his personality is, but they contribute significantly to the character. We of course love the version that was played by Heath Ledger. That Joker knew how to get a suit tailored properly. If this was a ranked list, he would definitely take the number one spot. 2. Bane © Warner Bros. Pictures As opposed to Joker, the cinematic Bane, was all about function. With that being said, the man knew how to dress with effect. The fur-lined leather jacket that he picked, for example, added a lot to his character. Of course, his bulky shape, and his headgear also added a different dimension to the technical-looking cargo pants, and tactical vests he was wearing. 3. Ra’s Al Ghul © Warner Bros. Pictures Whether you speak of the animated Ra’s Al Ghul, or the one that we saw in Nolan’s trilogy, Ra’s Al Ghul is a seriously stylish man. He is a proper old school villain. We genuinely feel that Liam Neeson would make a great Bond Villain. Ra’s Al Ghul oozes charm and class, especially with the manner in which he suits up. His monochrome outfits is yet another aspect that makes him super stylish. 4. General Zod © DC Comics Although we have seen just one version of General Zod in DC Films, if we go by the comics, General Zod had a really dapper sense of style. He really knew how to dress up to exude power. Even in Man Of Steel, his outfit as that of a villain was spot on, and perhaps one of the best things we have seen. 5. Sinestro © DC Comics As far costumes are concerned, we did not see much from Sinestro. However, the supervillain had a very strong grooming game. In some of the comic books, he had a really dope looking handlebar moustache that was just awesome. 6. The Riddler © DC Comics Barring Jim Carrey’s version of The Riddler, where he was dressed in a very campy green overalls, The Riddler is a very fashionable supervillain. He too dresses up like a classic Bond villain. And man, his accessories in the comics, such as the walking stick, the belt, the gloves and the hat - they were immaculate. It will be really interesting to see the next version of The Riddler, in the upcoming Batman film. 7. Lex Luthor © Warner Bros. Pictures Finally, we have Lex Luthor. Jesse Eisenberg does a fine job as a maniacal and slightly unhinged Lex Luthor. His sense of style too is quite awesome, and he has given us some really cool looking power-suiting options. However, we feel that the traditional Luthors that we see in the comics, who’re often dressed in Mandarin collared shirts & blazers is on a different level altogether, Jon Cryer who plays Lex Luthor in Supergirl also does a fantastic job when it comes to style. The Bottomline... We can safely say that a lot of the charm of a supervillain, be it Joker, or Lex Luthor, comes down to how they are presented. And their costumes and getup, play a very crucial role in how they’re received. We can also safely say that these guys, on this list, easily decimate our superheroes, at least in terms of style and fashion. Think we missed someone out? Do let us know in the comments below who else would you have added to this list. View the full article
  4. Gangster movies have their own appeal of narrating tales inspired by real life events which wreaked havoc to humanity. While Hollywood has done a far better job in depicting gangster history, Bollywood has decently managed to make a few movies loosely based and inspired by true gangster lords. Here are 5 movies which were based on real life gangsters: 1. CompanyThis super hit movie which was a big aesthetic surprise for people back in 2002 was rumoured to have been based on the real life friendship of underworld lords Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Rajan, who were pretty close knit prior to the 1993 Mumbai blasts. The movie stars Ajay Devgn and Viveik Oberoi in the lead roles and tells the tale of two gangsters who managed to stay close friends before falling apart. 2. Shootout At WadalaThis Sanjay Gupta venture was supposedly based on the life of Mumbai gangster Manya Surve. The fictionalised account follows Manya, who is in prison for killing a gangster who attacked his brother. When Manya finally gets free, he forms his own gang and vows to seek revenge. 3. Black FridayThis is one of the most authentic accounts which showed how the city of Mumbai fell under the shadow of the Mafia. Based on S Hussain Zaidi’s book, this Anurag Kashyap movie is a well researched project which depicts how the Mumbai’s gangsters were linked to Pakistan’s intelligence set-up. The film covers the 1993 blasts and the riots which broke after it and also depicts how Dawood Ibrahim and Tiger Memon were attached to its execution. 4. D DayThis is yet another attempt at depicting incidents from the lives of Dawood Ibrahim. This one has Rishi Kapoor in the lead role who is essaying the character of Iqbal Seth, a fictional character. The movie follows Indian agencies trying to capture him and the mission falling apart due to some miscalculations in the plan. 5. Once Upon A Time In MumbaiThis one is inspired and based on the life of gangster Haji Mastan, who was the terror lord in Mumbai back in the 60’s and the 70’s. The movie was obviously heavily fictionalised but the portrayals of Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi’s characters were inspired from the relationship between Haji Mastan and his disciple Dawood Ibrahim. 7. Rishabh Pant’s rumoured girlfriend Isha Negi, who is reportedly an interior decor designer, also enjoys a massive fan following on social media. On Saturday, the 22-year old got into an interactive session with her followers on the platform and replied to various questions. One question, however, that caught the attention of the fans of the Indian cricket team was about her favourite player in the world. And while many had expected Negi to take Rishabh Pant’s name, she picked the former Team India captain and now-retired Mahendra Singh Dhoni. I can approach him freely with any problem I may be facing, and he will never give me the entire solution for it,” Pant had said in an Instagram Live session ahead of the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. He’s also one of my favourite batting partners, though it’s not something that happens too often. If Mahi [Dhoni] bhai is at the crease, you know things are sorted. He’s got a plan in his head, and all you need to do is follow it,” he’d added. The 23-year old was recently crowned as the captain of the Delhi Capitals franchise ahead of the 14th edition of the IPL after Shreyas Iyer, the original captain of the squad suffered a severe shoulder injury while fielding in the first ODI against England at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium and was ruled out for the entire 2021 season of the tournament. 8. Vijay Deverakonda made his debut in 2011. Since then, the Telugu actor has grown exponentially from a star in a regional film industry to one of the most popular actors in Indian cinema. © Instagram/thedeverakonda One big contributing factor for this has to be his sense of style, particularly the way he styles his beard and hair. His sense of style has made him a genuine style icon, across language barriers. © Instagram/thedeverakonda Consider this simple fact - Vijay hasn’t worked in any Hindi film as of writing this article, and yet his popularity among the Hindi-film audience is immense. © Instagram/thedeverakonda We pick 7 films by Vijay Deverakonda where his beard & hairstyle were on a different level. Pelli Choopulu © Suresh Productions Vijay had a very normie look for this movie, your regular, guy-next-door vibes. We love how he has styled his messy stubble with an equally messy, long-ish hair in this movie. It actually suits his wavy hair a lot, and helps it stand-out. NOTA © Studio Green In NOTA, we see one of Vijay’s most meticulously groomed avatar. The hair is combed to the T, with a very neat parting, and yet it looks just as stylish. We like how he has styled his hair in such a way that makes his widow’s peak less prominent. Plus, his short-boxed beard here is just awesome. Yevade Subramanyam © Swapna Cinema As Rishi, Vijay’s get up was again very normie, very boy-next-doorish. We like how his hair looked well styled, and chaotic, both at the same time. This is also where we get to see very slight glimpses, of what his beard would eventually look like in Arjun Reddy, even though, that role wasn’t even finalised. Mahanati © Swapna Cinema Ever wondered what Arjun Reddy would have looked like if he took care of his hair and styled it properly? Vijay’s portrayal of Vijay Anthony in Mahanati is the answer. He kept his hair long for this film, which drooped towards the side of his face. Plus that neat stubble looked epic on him. Dear Comrade © Big Ben Cinemas We get to see Vijay in a number of different looks in this film, because of the numerous jumps in time in story. The most common look of his is this one, where he sports longish, wavy hair, and a finely styled stubble, and a very subtly styled moustache. Taxiwaala © UV Creations In Taxiwaala Vijay has experimented with his hair in a very subtle manner. He added some colour, and styled his hair in a very aggressive and messy pompadour. His hair at times also looked like it had flared up. Again, we see his signature thick stubble, although this time it was a bit messy and a little vaguely defined, which looked just perfect. Arjun Reddy © Bhadrakali Pictures Finally, we have that one film that made him a household name. Vijay was something else altogether in this film. The thick messy and scraggly beard, the unkempt longish hair - there was an order to all this chaos. We can only imagine the effort that must have been put in to grow a beard that was as cool as that. The Bottomline…Vijay Deverakonda may not go bonkers with his beard and hairstyles for his films, but he does experiment. Most of the times they work out rather well, both for him as well as his characters. This just goes on to show that why, for his ardent fans, he is a legit style god. View the full article
  9. Bollywood may be best known for its glamorous casts, glittery nights, big box office openings but its love for fair skin is so deep that even Beyoncé couldn’t escape it. Last year, Khaali Peeli's song Beyoncé Sharma Jayegi was the final nail in the coffin that made people think how Bollywood is obsessed with the fair skin tone. The whole obsession with being ‘gora’ is deep-rooted in our caste and societal system but Bollywood hasn’t done much to improve it. It was a hypocritical movie by the Bollywood celebs who stood for #BlackLivesMatter when an incident occurred in the west but they have been turning a blind eye to what’s happening in their own industry. We have heard tales of women in Bollywood who have faced rejection because of their dark complexion but men in the industry weren’t spared either. These five men were initially mocked for their complexion but they gave it back by becoming superstars. 1. Rajkummar Rao View this post on Instagram Rajkummar Rao didn’t turn into a star overnight and had his own fair share of struggles. In an interview with DNA back in 2017, he revealed how a director had rejected him because he wasn’t fair and muscular enough to play the part. He'd said, “When I was looking for work in Mumbai around seven years back, I used to look different from what I look today. I did an audition for a director who was making his debut film (I won’t name who he is). He really liked my test but told me, ‘Acting is fine, but I can’t give you a lead part because leading heroes are supposed to be fair and muscular. But do you want to play a small character in my film?’ I didn’t do his film because I couldn’t agree with his theory of filmmaking.” Now, he is surely one of the most bankable stars of Bollywood, who always leaves people impressed with his acting. 2. Ranveer Singh View this post on Instagram Ranveer Singh might have given mega hits like Padmaavat and Gully Boy but he too once was mocked for his looks. He was told that he wasn’t conventionally good-looking and fair to pursue the field of acting. In a report in DNA, Ranveer Singh was quoted saying “Initially, I faced rejection based on how I looked and not so much because of my ability. I was told that I wasn’t very good-looking or conventional. Maybe I wasn’t fair or tall enough.” 3. Manoj Bajpayee View this post on Instagram If you are someone who has followed Manoj Bajpayee, you cannot possibly forget the strong performance he gave in the critically acclaimed 2001 film Zubeidaa. Despite giving the best of performance, he was mocked for his complexion and had to deal with colourism. He once said, “Despite the rave reviews I got for my performance in the film Zubeidaa, a critic said that I don’t look like a prince. That really hurt me.” 20 years later, Bajpayee has surely given it back to the haters who mocked him. 4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui View this post on Instagram Nawazuddin Siddiqui may have established himself as one of the finest actors in Bollywood, but he too had faced rejections because of his complexion. In an interview, casting director Sanjay Chouhan had said, “Keeping Nawaz in mind, all other characters were taken on board. We can’t cast fair and handsome people with Nawaz. It would look so weird.” Reacting to this comment, Nawazuddin tweeted, “Thank U 4 making me realize that I cannot b paired along wid d fair & handsome bcz I m dark & not good looking, but I never focus on that (sic).” Thank U 4 making me realise dat I cannot b paired along wid d fair & handsome bcz I m dark & not good looking, but I never focus on that. — Nawazuddin Siddiqui (@Nawazuddin_S) July 17, 20175. Adil Hussain View this post on Instagram Adil Hussain has also been subjected to such bias and he too gave it back to his haters by establishing a firm footing as an actor in the industry that’s clouded by such biases. In an interview with HT, he had said that the change is happening but it’s painfully slow. “I think such biases can be best addressed by art. Cinema is being an art form that can influence mindset. So, we must become the moral compass of the society and help evolve for the better over these biases against fair, dark, LGBTQ, dwarfs, etc. We sometimes crack jokes on such issues because we’ve normalized them. We need to create enough awareness and representation on the screen,” he said. View the full article
  10. Karan Johar has cemented his position as an iconic director in Bollywood but his tryst with fashion is also something worth noticing. From the time he used to step out wearing his usual black suits to then transitioning into a self-proclaimed maximalist, Karan has quite a good judgement with the sort of clothes he wears. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani By now we all know KJo loves all things outlandish. Apart from his ensembles, he is into snazzy bags and quirky sneakers too. He has often rocked some daring trends and taken more fashion risks than one can even imagine. © Viral Bhayani This time too as he was spotted for an event, we saw him in yet another sick pair of sneakers. These sneakers look as if they were designed using broken materials and yet the silhouette has dope aesthetics. Take a look: The Brands: © Viral Bhayani Karan was seen wearing an insanely cool outfit with street-wear aesthetics. Everything about his ensemble, from his oversized hoodie to his joggers screamed fashion. The pink hoodie with a fabric tied over it, along with quirky tiger print seems like a quintessential piece and damn, it looks good on him. © Gucci The joggers though are Gucci's Oversize Technical Jogging Pants. This activewear silhouette comes with contrast logo tape detail with GG printed nylon that runs down the sides of the oversized pants. Furthermore, these pants are crafted in black technical jersey. © Balenciaga As for the sneakers, these will never go unnoticed. Karan is wearing Balenciaga Track 2 Sneakers in Silver Metallic. These are designed in metallic mesh and nylon with written size at the edge of the toe. These sneakers have a unique design, due to their cage-like silhouette and are still a comfortable pair of shoes. The Price:The joggers look super comfy but the price will make you think otherwise. These pants cost almost Rs 83,495. Now, that's expensive for a pair of pants. The track 2 sneakers are a pair that most celebrities have stepped out in but the metallic colour, in particular, is the one that stands out and only our maximalist, Karan has been able to ace it. The price of this pair is roughly around $975 that converts to Rs 71,000, plus custom and taxes on it. Why It Works: © Viral Bhayani Given Karan's taste in fashion, we think this outfit is a perfect match. The way he has coupled a flamboyant hoodie over his expensive pair of joggers is rather dope. Plus, the sneakers are synonymous with Karan's outlandish fashion sense and every element of this look is in perfect harmony. View the full article
  11. As recently as last week Realme was caught manipulating/cheating on a benchmark app that got the Realme GT banned from Antutu. The smartphone industry is quite competitive and some companies tend to cheat on benchmarking apps to get favourable review scores and mislead customers. This is not the first time this has happened and it won’t be the last. Here are seven instances where smartphone companies were caught cheating on benchmark apps: 1. Huawei © MensXP/Akshay Bhalla Huawei has been caught cheating for multiple things in the past. From faking DSLR photos (twice) to faking selfie images. However, in 2018, Huawei was caught hardcoding the Mate 20 for manipulating benchmark scores. The smartphone was hardcoded to offer maximum possible performance whenever a benchmark app test was detected. The company was caught doing the same for the Huawei P20 series as well. 2. Honor © YouTube/GeekyRanjit Huawei’s offshoot brand at the time was also found cheating benchmark apps specifically with ‘Honor Play’. In fact, Android Authority found a 21% leap in scores which didn’t sit well with customers. Not only did it break the trust of customers, but it also tainted the brand's reputation forever. 3. Xiaomi © Xiaomi Xiaomi is not as big of a culprit as Huawei or Honor but the company was found inflating scores on the Mi 8 in 2019. The company hardcoded the device to inflate scores by 5% which isn’t as bad as compared to others. It’s still misleading customers, however it wasn’t as bad as other companies on this list. 4. OnePlus © Youtube/The Verge OnePlus is yet another culprit that was accused in 2017 of hardcoding the OnePlus 5 review units for inflating benchmark scores. What made this a big deal was not only the fact that it misled customers, it also tainted the work of reviewers and journalists with misleading data. The code in the smartphone was designed to manipulate Geekbench 4, Antutu, Androbench, Nenamark 2, Vellamo and GFXBench. 5. Oppo © Oppo The Oppo R17 Pro was caught manipulating benchmark scores by 25% for multi-core scores and 12% for single-core scores. Oppo really tried to manipulate the single-core scores in hopes to look faster and more efficient than the competition. 6. MediaTek © Mediatek While we’ve mostly listed smartphone companies on this list for cheating benchmark scores, we couldn’t believe a silicon manufacturing company would also go down this route. Mediatek was found manipulating scores on smartphones that were powered by its chipsets. A file named ‘Power_Whitelist_CFG.xml’ was discovered by AnandTech that came directly from MediaTek and was integrated into the chip's BSP (Board Support Package). What’s worse is that the company was doing this since 2016 and blamed it on “Industry Practices.” 7. Realme © Realme Realme was caught manipulating benchmark scores on Antutu which led to the Realme GT getting banned for three months. The phone was ousted by Antutu last week as it was found using thread delay tactics to run a multithreaded test on its fast CPU cores as much as possible. The phone also “modified” the reference JPG image used by Antutu to manipulate the score. Instead of processing the image, the phone used mosaic colour blocks to reduce the quality of the image for a faster render and processing time. View the full article
  12. As a movie star, Yash, or Rocking Star Yash as he is often referred to, enjoys a massive fan following. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that people all over the country watch him very closely, especially his style and grooming moves. © Instagram/thenameisyash His screen presence is something that people just can’t get over. Saying that Yash dominates his co-stars, no matter how good performers they are, whenever he’s in the frame, would be an understatement - such is his charisma. © Instagram/thenameisyash We genuinely believe that he is one of the most stylish actors, both in terms of fashion and grooming, in Indian cinema. Heck, we think that many Bollywood celebrities and actors ought to take notes from him on matters of style. © Instagram/thenameisyash We pick 6 movies where Yash’s beard & hairstyles were on a different level. Guys, trust us when we say, that you really can’t go wrong if you decide to go for one of these styles. 1. Raja Huli © Lakshmisri Combines Let’s keep aside the OTT action sequences and just how vibrant the film looks. Yash’s beard style for this film is very quirky and yet something that we can totally see his ardent fans trying. Technically, its called a “Friendly Muttonchop,” but think of it more along the lines of a Chin Curtain Meets Fu Manchu. Seriously, that’s a dope style move. 2. Kirataka © Amigo Indirajal Movies In one of his older films, Kirataka, Yash is barely recognisable. Here, Yash is seen in a simplistic, side-parted and slightly oiled up hair, with a very basic, but thick and densely growing stubble. We like how Yash has managed to keep the beard sharp, without losing any of that “desi” quality that his character needed. 3. Santhu Straight Forward © K. Manju Cinemas In this 2016 film, Yash had a rather cool hairstyle. A take on the full headed mohawk, we see the hair spiked and leaning towards one side. We also get to see some good products such as waxes and moose being used to hold the hair in its place. As for his beard, we like how he has defined his beard. We also like the prominent soul patch that he has gone for. 4. Masterpiece © Hombale Films This is where we start seeing that iconic full-bodied and full-length beard in its infancy. The longish hair, and the thick, short boxed beard look supremely dapper and would go on to be the basis of a fine, and drool-worthy beard. 5. Rajadhani © Sri Deviramma Enterprises A film from 2011, in Rajadhani we see Yash keeping a rather dope looking, free-flowing, side-parted hair, and a short boxed beard, which looks extremely cool. It goes perfectly well with the boy-next-door image that he was going for in the film. 6. KGF: Chapter 1 © Hombale Films Finally, we have KGF: Chapter 1, the film that put Yash on every Indian cinema fan’s radar. His long, full-bodied beard was just awesome. Saying that it was drool-worthy would be an understatement. Plus, his hair, too, was epic. It went perfectly well with the messiah-like, larger than life figure that Rocky’s character was. We always thought that Leonidas’ beard from 300 was one of the best beards in movie history. This one, though, was even better. In Conclusion… Appearances do matter a lot in how a character is received by the audience, and Yash seems to have cracked the code to pick out the best hair & beard style for his films. 13. These days, Kartik Aaryan has been spotted more on the sets of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, a film that will also star Kiara Advani. The original film, starring Akshay Kumar was an iconic horror-comedy, and with the second instalment, there are certainly a lot of expectations, considering the film will also be starring Tabu in an important role. He completed the outfit with a pair of authentic Larsen slippers in red by hummel. They were priced at Rs 1,499 and then were available at a 50% discount at Rs 749, only to be sold out on their website. © hummel Besides this film, Kartik is currently also busy with projects like Dhamaka directed by Ram Madhvani, Collin D’Cunha's Dostana 2, and finally Luka Chuppi 2 by Laxman Utekar. 14. If we take a look at Ayushmann's career, his journey has been a mix of several roles. From being a VJ to becoming one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood, Khurrana has indeed come a long way. Even his sense of style evolved simultaneously with his career. Not too long ago, he was seen carrying Rs 1.4 Lakh backpack. Then there was another instance when he dropped some major style goals with his ultra-loose pants. © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani He still doesn't make a lot of appearances, but when he does, he never fails to surprise us with his ensembles. Since airports are all about functional dressing, Ayushmann's latest look literally compelled us to think about our sartorial choices too, courtesy of the talented stylist, Isha Bhansali. Take a look: The Brands: © Puma Ayushmann yet again proved why we can't enough of his quirky ensembles. This time he was seen wearing an OTT jacket, by Puma. This is the International Lab Woven Men's Track Jacket. The classic track jacket comes with a stand-up collar and has an overall print showcasing a street-cool look. Furthermore, it has side pockets to keep your essentials. © Puma About his joggers, these are hands down the most unique pair of pants that we have seen. These are Puma x Michael Lau Men's Knitted Pants and are said to be super comfortable and to make them unique, these are designed with patchwork overlays. There's an asymmetric drawcord at the waist, to add an offbeat element to the style. © Puma Then there are his sneakers, which are yet again an incredible highlight of this outfit. These too are Puma x Michael Lau RS-2K shoes. The Hong Kong artist has added a creative touch to the pair taking inspiration from the early 2000s aesthetics. These are certainly a statement pair, if you ask us. The Price: © Viral Bhayani The jacket is rather flamboyant and feisty and it won't be wrong to think that this would be expensive. However, turns out, this costs only Rs 6,499. The patchwork joggers, which look like they were restitched, are also not very expensive as they retail for only Rs 9,417 whereas the sneakers cost Rs 10,999. Why It Works: © Viral Bhayani Given how tedious airports can be, dressing in this manner, with a pair of sweatpants, coupled with a jacket and T-shirt will certainly make the experience hassle-free and certainly comfortable. If you are opting for such a quirky style, keep the accessories to a minimal and you'll be good to go. View the full article
  15. We all know that celebrities have been trolled many times for not having enough knowledge about many political topics. While we can’t expect the celebrities to know it all, but their political understanding is debatable. Many Bollywood movie stars have made dumb political statements and people on the internet have trolled them in the nastiest and ruthless ways to school them. Here is a list of five Bollywood celebrities who were trolled for their political acumen- Alia Bhatt Alia Bhatt was branded the dumbest actress in Bollywood at a certain point and this started with her appearance in Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee with Karan. In the rapid-fire round, she along with her SOTY co-stars were asked, "Who is the President of India?" To which she blurted the name of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. However, at that time President of India was Pranab Mukherjee. Sunny Deol View this post on Instagram Sunny Deol may have made us feel that he is a patriot when it comes to his films. However, he completely ignored the questions about national security while claiming to be in the business of politics. 16. When it comes to fashion trends in Bollywood, each decade has a definite style cue that has defined the overall aesthetic of Bollywood in that time. For instance, bell-bottoms and bandanas are vibrant reminders of the late '60s and '70s in Bollywood. Unbuttoned shirts are an aesthetic that flooded Hindi cinema in the 90s with iconic costumes worn by actors like Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan. © BCCL However, an ongoing style trend in Bollywood which started in the early 90s but has only thrived in recent years, is the trend of wearing kinky fashion accessories. Bollywood, at times, has not shied away from showing intimacy on screen. However sometimes, instead of showing the act, the focus was also placed on what the actors were wearing at the moment. Over the years, we have had so many on-screen outfits that would make you question your knowledge of kinky accessories. Here are a few examples: 1. Sanjay Dutt In Chains © BCCL This picture is taken from Sanjay Dutt's film, Jung. Released in 2000, the film follows the story of an honest police officer who desperately needs to save his son's life. Sanjay Dutt in chains is within this context here. However, a picture without context makes it look like he's wearing chunky kinky accessories and is ready for some action. 2. When Saif Ali Khan Did Roleplay On-screen © Illuminati Films The film, Cocktail is famous for a lot of reasons. The 2012 film, although problematic, saw Saif Ali Khan in a full-blown ***-costume. However, we're confused about what he was going for. © Illuminati Films It was a mix of the Viking aesthetic with minimal and sheer lingerie with makeup. Either way, it's worth the effort. 3. John Abraham's See-Through Jumpsuit © BCCL John Abraham is still known for his iconic beach running scene from Dostana. However, he also bared it all (almost) in his earlier days when he put on a see-through jumpsuit in a shoot with more male models. This would prove to be a great idea if you're looking to pick men's lingerie. 4. When Anil Kapoor Wore Nothing But A Bow-Tie © BCCL Anil Kapoor's iconic bare-chested pictures have always been a part of internet meme culture. While it has found its niche ground now, in the '90s, chest hair was wildly desirable. Anil Kapoor, here, has bared it all except the bow tie worn around the neck. This 'birthday suit' look with a ribbon waiting to be unfurled is another exciting option for men looking to get lingerie. 5. Shakti Kapoor's DIY lingerie © BCCL DIY fashion is huge these. Since the onset of the pandemic, as most people are spending more time at home, they're designing their own clothes. ' Shakti Kapoor, however, took it to the next level by taking a scarf and putting it on in such a way that it looks like custom-made lingerie. 6. Shakti Kapoor's Adventures With Animal Print © BCCL Shakti Kapoor, in a similar setting, has also experimented with animal print. This time, with coordinated headgear as well. 7. Aditya Pancholi's Tryst With A Cardboard © BCCL For a photoshoot, in his younger days, Aditya Pancholi was seen wearing nothing while posing behind the cardboard. We wonder what kink theme he was going for here. 8. When Govinda 'Wore' A Guitar © BCCL This is one of those rare finds on the internet that blows your mind, quite literally. Govinda has worn a humble acoustic guitar as his accessory along with deceivingly-brown leather pants, and we can't deny that it does look like an impressive way to woo someone. View the full article
  17. Kartik Aaryan is currently prepping for his upcoming movies, due to which he has been hitting the headlines almost every day and while that's something we always notice, we also never forget about his strong fashion game. From wearing some stylish activewear pieces to standing out in street-style ensembles, he knows how to keep the conversation up with his sartorial choices. Being regarded as a fashion connoisseur, Kartik has never disappointed us with his clothing. © Viral Bhayani Of late, the man has been experimenting with his style statement, quite a lot. There have also been times when he has stepped out in a classy ensemble and the same day, he would make a statement in pyjamas. That's literally him these days. He was yet again seen in an outstanding ensemble, the one that looks comfy AF but also screams fashion. What He Wore: © Viral Bhayani Kartik's choice of going for a relaxed blue T-shirt here added a perfect contrast to his overall look. The pants make a bold statement due to the oversized silhouette. Add to that, his Hummel sneakers are also an interesting match with this outfit. The Brands: © Viral Bhayani The T-shirt has street aesthetics and is a style by Hummel and so are the pants. Overall, the colour scheme is quite funky, which is what adds to the versatility. The pants break the monotony and we like the fact that he is working some strong street-fashion silhouettes here. © Hummel The sneakers are Hummel's Edmonton OG. These sneakers have an EVA midsole and rubber outsole. As for more, these come with shock-point EVA in the heel zone, to have softer landings. These shoes are super functional and edgy as well. Why It Works: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani The main highlight though, are the pants he wore. These oversized pants are by Hummel and are super fashionable, if you ask us. Unlike other styles from the brand, these are not tapered and come in quite a long silhouette. For those wanting to ditch the infamous skinny jeans, these seem to be a good replacement. From Tiger Shroff to Ranveer Singh, many stars have been working the street-style favourite trend, as it evokes freedom as well as flamboyance. In all, Kartik has done a pretty good job by wearing these super giant pants, Kudos, man! View the full article

  20. Recently, there has been a ton of light shed on how the media treats female celebrities. Interviewers and reporters with access to famous personalities have long tried to catch them off-guard and dig out reactions worthy of sensational news. To no one’s surprise, many have gone overboard and crossed boundaries, asking especially invasive and sexist interview questions when it comes to female celebrities. Some may think these were isolated or minor incidents, but the fact is that if we were to outline all of them in one place, we would sooner run out of paper (or the digital equivalent of it) than reach the end. So, rather than creating an exhaustive list, here are six times female celebs had been treated horribly by interviewers and asked sexist questions no man would’ve been subjected to: 1. This interview where the guy incessantly probed into Sunny Leone’s background in adult entertainment, saying that there are “many married women who view her as a threat to their husbands” and that “they would be taken away by Sunny Leone”. To which, of course, she easily replied “I have my own husband” and that “Sorry, ladies, I don’t want your husband.” The interview went increasingly and disgustingly downhill, with him trying to instigate a response out of her about how she “felt” about various (often made-up) instances of people holding a bias against her due to “her past” that will apparently “continue to haunt” her. I would go on but… it’s much of the same BS. Have a look yourself, if you can stand it: 2. This Q&A session where a reporter asked Priyanka Chopra who she would want to co-host with on Filmfare Awards, and then went on to ask “Don’t you think if you and Shah Rukh hosted together, then we would’ve gotten to see more ‘romance and masti [fun]’?” With a smile, she shut him down saying that “that’s her job” and that she could do that with anyone. But of course the guy couldn’t get the hint and kept prodding her with Shah Rukh Khan’s name until she went, “You want me to take his name, right? Or you want that some kind of drama is created?” 3. This interview where a reporter asked Parineeti Chopra, point-blank, no-joke, if she thought going on a foodyatra as promotions for her movie “Daawat-e-Ishq” was a good idea since she had “already faced so much criticism for her weight”. Big yikes. Parineeti replied, “I’m sorry but this question is ridiculous for me,” and set her straight in not so many words that gym was a concept that existed—not that that should be any of our concerns. The reporter, though, continued to put her foot in her mouth. But Parineeti simply reiterated her point and gently but firmly shut her down. 4. This whole interview with Diane Sawyers that Britney Spears went through when she was merely 22 years old, where she was ruthlessly questioned about her relationship with Justin Timberlake and even brought to tears, asking to stop the interview. “He has gone on television and pretty much said you broke his heart,” then went on to accuse, "You did something that caused him so much pain, so much suffering. What did you do?" The entire interview seems to paint Britney as the bad guy in the relationship, and honestly that’s not even the worst of it. You can check out the video here if you’re curious: 5. This creepy guy who seems obsessed with female superhero costumes and what goes on underneath them, asking intrusive questions to both Scarlet Johansson and Anne Hathaway regarding their roles as Black Widow and Catwoman respectively. With Anne Hathaway, it starts seemingly innocently, although I’m not sure what could be innocent about someone commenting on a woman’s body, movie star or not. “You are in great shape. You’re always in great shape, but you had to make sure you were in perfect shape for this one, didn’t you?” But then, as expected, it got weird. “What was that suit like? It looked comfortable to wear but it looked like it was form fitting, was it?” It didn’t end there, with him pressing her about her diet regimen and work out… Thank goodness for Anne Hathaway, though, who quickly questioned whether he was trying to lose weight and gave this remarkable quip that I’m absolutely going to use every chance I get — “No, no, seriously, we have to talk about this. What, what do you want? Are you trying to fit into a catsuit?” 6. If you thought that was bad, then you better believe it gets worse. This man, when he had the chance to interview Scarlet Johansson and Jeremy Renner, asked Scarlet, weird hand gestures and all, whether she was “able to wear undergarments” under her suit. “What is going on? Since when did people start asking people about their underwear?” Scarlet exclaimed. Any sane person would back off, but this guy was not to be deterred. “Is it inappropriate?” he asked. And, honestly, I can’t do this anymore, here’s the whole thing: The list could go on and on, but I’m going to end it here for the sake of all of our sanity. Do you know any interviews like these? Call them out in the comments! View the full article
