Marvel really just wants to kick us harder when we're down, don't they? We lost so many, so freaking many people in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and that might not be permanent, but everyone's like 99 per cent sure that we will lose a lot of OG Avengers in 'Avengers: Endgame' so obviously, fans are already emotional. How do you make everyone feel better? Remind them of all the lost characters while promoting the movie, apparently. During a press conference in LA recently, the entire cast assembled to talk about the movie but there were a lot of empty chairs for the 'fallen'. Yes, we can also look at it from a different perspective because it's a nice way to show every character matters, but it gave everyone too many feels. You definitely shouldn't be believing what you see or hear on April Fool's day, but it's also the day that brings out the best in the tech space. Well, 2019 was no exception, and we got to see a lot of interesting stuff from big name companies. But here are the best April Fool's Day pranks, which we wish actually real: 1. Notifications That Literally Follow! Duolingo's pesky notifications bugging you every day to take your language test can get super annoying, which is why we're sure you end up ignoring them. But this April fool's day, the company took a step further by introducing the idea of having a large green owl appear in real life and follow you around to remind you to practice your language lessons. Heck, they even come in three modes - encouraging, disappointed, or passive aggressive - and it's downright hilarious. Check it out - 2. A Smart Assistant For Gaming? Sure. Nvidia also took it a step further by announcing a GeForce RTX smart assistant called R.O.N. The company claims it can give you cool tips when you play games like Apex Legends, telling you to hide, etc. R.O.N. can also use its brains to leave comments on sites like Reddit and Twitch for you. Its base clock is a supposed 1.4 Petahertz and overclock, well, if you overclock it, Newegg says you “might create a small black hole inside your CPU.” It's not something that we want, because the CPU will anyway be tucked inside a cooler, but it's a hilarious idea. Two Men Playing PUBG Near Railway Tracks Were Run Over By A Train

PUBG Mobile is back in the news again. No one got arrested this time, but sadly two people lost their lives as they were run over by a train while playing the game near the railway tracks. Officials said that the incident happened at Khatkali Bypass in Hingoli, which is over 570 kilometres from Mumbai. The two men, Nagesh Gore and Swapnil Annapurne, were playing PUBG near the railway tracks. They got run over by the Hyderabad-Ajmer train. © PUBG Mobile The bodies of the two men were found late at night by the locals living in the vicinity. The officials have noted that an accidental death report has been registered at Hingoli police station. Also, this isn't the first negative report about PUBG Mobile this month. The game has been hitting the headlines since the beginning of the year for all the wrong reasons. Recently, the Rajkot police even arrested 10 people who were playing the game in public after the ban. -

The worst thing that could ever happen, happened. Instagram and Facebook were down for over eight hours. Yeah, the internet went through a dark time today. But, at least we were all in this together. Both the websites were down for everyone across the globe and not one particular area was being personally victimized. What do you do when two of the biggest social media websites are down? Turn to a third social media website, of course. Who wants to go and experience the world like people did before internet and social media? Twitter became everyone's knight in shining armour and everyone flocked to the site to complain about the other two sites. Aero India is a biennial event happening in India since 1996, and the program has slowly gained a lot of momentum. These trade shows are a perfect platform for companies to show-off their offerings, and in a rapidly developing market like India, the possibilities are limitless. While India has shared deeper roots with the then-USSR in terms of defence and aviation acquisitions, the tides are slowly turning. India is among the top defence equipment importers in the world, and with nascent domestic aviation manufacturing, targeting India as a potential customer is natural. For the aviation geeks out there, the show is a mesmerising experience. Not only does it offer newer civilian aircraft, but also demonstrates the capability of India's armed forces. This year, more than fifty aircrafts were on static display at Aero India. Aerobatic performances were held by numerous aircrafts, and we've listed down our favourites. 1. Dassault Rafale © MensXP / Shivam Vahia The Rafale has become a household name in India now, but keeping aside the political controversies, it is among the most capable multirole fighter planes out there. It can perform air superiority, reconnaissance, ground support, as well as nuclear deterrence. The French Air Force primarily operates it, and Indian Air Force has placed an order of 36 aircraft. © MensXP / Shivam Vahia The French Air Force (regionally called Armée de l'air) brought a couple of their Rafale's at Aero India, and they undoubtedly attracted the most people. The complete structure is made of composite materials to reduce weight and increase performance. Just like the Rafale, it has a delta wing design for increased maneuverability. The air show depicted its exceedingly high rate of climb along with sharp turns to provide an edge in air-to-air combat. It features a complete glass cockpit along with a heads-up display and fly by wire technology for simpler handling. Aero India 2019 dazzled when Tejas rose to the sky, thundering amidst the much hyped Rafale and staple warhorse Sukhoi. 4. C17 Globemaster III © MensXP / Shivam Vahia Transport aircrafts like the C17 were another spectacular sight. United States Air Force brought their giant from Pearl Harbour, along with the P-8I Poseidon. The plane is made by Boeing and features four engines that enable it to carry more than 77,000 kgs of cargo. © MensXP / Shivam Vahia The plane has multiple roles and can perform troop drop, strategic airlifting as well as relief operations. The Indian Air Force currently has 10 of these and they play a crucial role in maintaining logistics supply to the remote parts of the country. 5. Yesterday, on February 14, the nation was painted red, not in the colour of love but with blood as nearly 40 CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel were martyred in one of the worst terrorist attacks ever in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Fashion giant 'Gucci' just got embroiled in a controversy because of selling a rather 'avant-garde' sweater, which has been accused of being racist. Social media users expressed their displeasure because of Gucci's rather in-your-face 'ignorance' that could be clearly seen on the sweater design. Take a look at the controversial sweater here. © Gucci The Balaclava black wool sweater is conspicuous in its own right and covers the wearer's neck and most parts of the lower face. It has a cut-out on the lips, which has been fashioned with a red border, that resembles oversized lips. The sweater costs almost $900 and is supposed to be inspired by vintage ski-masks. People, however, have been trashing the design accusing it of bearing a close resemblance with 'Blackface'. We're all waiting for the release of 'Avengers: Endgame' and are also preparing for probably, permanently, losing a bunch of our favourite characters. But did you know there's another thing we need to prepare for? Our bladder-control, apparently. The runtime of the movie is 3 hours, which is not at all surprising considering that it's a culmination of 22 incredible movies and the final instalment of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So basically, the movie has to tackle a lot of things, take care of a lot of different characters and storylines, especially when we think about how they also have to somehow manage to bring back a lot of people (and then kill a lot of them again). But, don't worry, the movie is going to be so awesome that we will end up fighting a battle with our bladder, at least that's what the people who have already watched the movie experienced. Yes, some lucky bastards have already seen the movie while we have to wait till the end of April, but let's ignore that for now. While speaking to Collider about the test screenings, the Russo Brothers said, “I think the studio is down with what the best story is. Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we've had great responses from our test audiences and we're feeling very good about where it is. We're still doing work to it. We're not done with it. Again, this is a culmination film of 22 movies, it's a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us. When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. The festival Uttarayan in Gujarat welcomes many people to celebrate it amidst the quaintness of the city. Along with a myriad people celebrating the festival, the custom of kite flying is an added addition. Thousands of kites lurk around the sky and unfortunately become death traps for birds who're flying along the same plane as the kites. The 'manjha' is the abrasive string that's used to fly kites and in more ways than one it serves as an entrapment for birds, who get caught within the string and either get injured or die while struggling to get out of the holds of entanglement, in numbers. Kites that are coated with powdered glass are extremely dangerous for birds, and every year we find mutilated pictures of different birds due to the manjha. In 2017, 3,000 birds were left injured and 500 dead due to this and the numbers keep increasing every year. © Twitter The festival-frenzied population show very little concern or empathy towards this grave problem but we have a few NGOs working in rescue and relief operations for these birds but it falls short each time. But this year things are going to go a little differently and Gujarat has made it possible to drive the point home by launching 'Karuna Abhiyan', a state-wide campaign that will help protect birds during the kite festival. If compassion has a state of mind, it's definitely amidst the people who've thought of such a generous deed to save the bird species from injuries and death. The district administration of Ahmadabad is heavily involved in the safe-keeping of all the bird species and its collector Dr Vikrant Pandey is personally overseeing the campaign is successful, in the city. © Twitter Because the NGOs collectively couldn't find a final resolve about this grave issue, 2,023 volunteers from different NGOs have signed up with Karuna Abhiyan to find a solution to this problem and they've managed to save 4,506 injured birds so far, in the past two days, post the festival! “Karuna Abhiyan has been a very successful campaign. The birds, which got injured during Uttarayan are being treated so that they can fly again. They will be kept in the shelter for few days till they fully recover,” the IAS officer told the local news media. During the festival about 11 rescue and rehabilitation centres were set up, along with about ten ambulance services, around the city to aid birds who were hurt and injured. © Twitter The fact remains that people came forward and helped rescuing close to 5,000 birds who fell from the sky, absolutely injured and in a helpless state and NGOs and rehabilitation centres were put forth around town to make a difference to their lives and give them a new one, after they were looked after by trained professionals. “Several of our vans went around the city, holding awareness programmes in schools and societies about the damage that kite strings can cause to birds. This copy is not a comparison of our culture to the US or any other country. Maybe other cultures are better or maybe they are worse. This, however, is just a plain and simple explanation about our very own society and its mindset, and how they can sometimes get in the way of life. This is about how even in 2018, the society still pushes people to do academically well and tell them that everything else is a waste of time. This is about every child who could have been Mithali Raj or Rahul Dravid but is stuck in a 9-6 job because (s)he was asked not to miss studies for cricket practice. This is the tale of every child who wanted to be something other than the mainstreamed professional. We all grew up watching Batman & Ironman. We could never get enough of the superhero movies & comics. And we all had at least one superhero we all wanted to be. Oh, how we dreamt of swinging from one building to the other like Spiderman or becoming as strong as the Hulk. And how all of us just lusted for Superman's flying ability! While we all wanted to be them, I think it wasn't a practical thing to think of. Even if we had those superpowers, it would have been impractical of us to be superheroes. This is thanks to our protective & academics-loving parents and the not so liberal society. Let's see how the life of superheroes would have been had they were born in India. Batman – The CEO If Batman were born in India, his parents would have been alive, thanks to the stringent gun laws of our country. He would have been somewhat like the prodigal heir of Ambanis. His life would have been surrounded by the 3M: Media, Money, & MBA. Bruce became Batman because he left his comfort zone, lived a hard life at a remote mountain for years, and dedicated his life to become a better man. All this because his parents didn't force him to do MBA and take care of the family business. Indian parents barely let their child go for a night out, let alone let him go to some mountain and learn how to fight. I think Bruce would have been studying in IIM-A and later taking care of the family business. Spiderman – The Shy Kid Who Becomes Cool Eventually Peter Parker was never shown as a nerdy bookworm. He was just another boy in the class whom people barely noticed. I think Peter would have been a dropper who would have been preparing for IIT-JEE. After getting bitten by a spider and getting his superpowers, he would probably have been flaunting his strength and newly built muscles to impress girls there. The shy Peter would have loved his new popularity but couldn't have put it to better use thanks to the pressure of clearing IIT-JEE. After all, nights are for studies, not for swinging from one building to other and stop crime. Indian priorities! Wonder Woman – Without Any Wonder Princess Diana would have been 'papa's angel' in her early teens. The curious and always eager to break the barriers, Diana would have been stopped by our society to do so. © Marvel Let's face it, in an era of women empowerment, we're still dealing with issues like dowry. So Diana's parents would have tried to tame her behaviour for her “future's” sake. © Marvel Our warrior would have been asked to 'dress appropriately,' mind her own business, and let the men take care of the World War situation. The society would have crushed the wonder part and Diana would have been just another woman. Wolverine – The Avatar of Some God Wolverine would have been the notorious kid who stands out of the class more than sitting inside. After discovering his sharp blades, he would probably have gotten thrown out of school and his parents would have taken him to AIIMS to get it treated. His super strength & healing ability would have been termed 'unnatural.' He either would have been admitted to some hospital or would have considered a Demi-God by our society. The latter option would certainly have made him rich but again, his overprotective parents would have home-schooled him instead of letting him go and fight the crime. Superman – The Page 3 Journalist I don't know where to start. Clark Kent would never have gotten a chance to be the superhero as his editor must have asked him to follow Taimur and get a story on how Taimur looked adorable while eating candy. How on Earth could he find the time to do anything else? © DC Comics Even if somehow he got the time to be Superman, his parents would have asked him to stop wasting time by saving the world and concentrate on his career. After all, 28 is the age to settle down, get married, and start a family. The saving the world concept is not in parent's bucket list. © DC Comics Although I'm sure many girls would have loved to marry him. Not because of his sharp looks, or God-like physique, but for the fact that he does stories on Taimur. Poor Superman would have been just a man had he was born in India. Ironman – The Mechanical Engineer This arrogant prick would have been the guy every relative hates. But his intelligence and IIT tag would have forced the relatives to be nice to him as they would want him to guide their children on how to crack IIT entrance. Tony would have been the overconfident kid in the class who was hated by all, especially his teachers. Just like Sheldon Cooper, in his childhood. His parents would never have allowed him to design an iron suit which would make him fly and do other cool stuff. Instead, he would have graduated, taken a job in the mechanical engineering field, would have been designing amazing cars. His parents would have been proud of him while the country would have lost the hero it badly needs. Our Society would have cut off the capes of these superheroes as well, as it does with most of us. They would have become just another being by following the rules of the society, when they could have been much more! Be your own superhero, people will complain no matter what you do. -

We live in an unpredictable world where anything can happen or go wrong at any point in time and that's a fact we all unfortunately know too well. In the late 70s and the 80s we saw this fact very much come alive and take over the world reminding people yet again of the unpredictability that life is. Yes, I am talking about the HIV Virus that plagued the world then and the brutal repercussions it had and how it still continuous to do so. Only today, the prevention and precaution methods are best understood by everyone to slow down the rate of people contracting AIDS but there still isn't an accurate cure for it. There are many ways to raise awareness about this deadly disease. We have campaigns, public service messages, education in schools or at your local doctors but the most affluent form of knowing what the HIV Virus and AIDS is all about is through a more visual medium- the movies. © Twitter This World AIDS Day, on December 1, let's try and spread as much awareness as we can about taking the right measures and precautions from it. Bollywood and Hollywood have tried their best to talk about AIDS through stories that inspire us and give us a peek into an AIDS survivors life. If you do happen to come across these movies, do watch them. Today, we'll just commemorate the day by acknowledging the effort made by the Indian cinema and the western cinema towards spreading the right kind of knowledge about AIDS. Here are 6 movies that talk about or are based loosely or otherwise on AIDS awareness. (1) AIDS Jaago (2007) © Twitter 'AIDS Jaago' is a project based on four short films that aimed to spread awareness about misconceptions and myths about AIDS. The short stories are directed by Mira Nair, Vishal Bhardwaj, Farhan Akhtar and Santosh. Definitely a much watch if you really want to know whatever there is to know about the disease. (2) Philadelphia (1993) © TriStar Pictures 'Philadelphia' is a first commercial/mainstream film to talk about AIDS, homosexuality and homophobia openly and acknowledge it. It's a drama based on a man (Tom Hanks) who is fired from his job because he's suffering from AIDS and the entire movie revolves around him trying to get justice for being fired in the first place. It's an intense story about an AIDS survivor who went through hoops to get what he truly deserved. (3) Phir Milenge (2004) © Percept Picture Company The movie is inspired by 'Philadelphia' and is directed by Revathi. It stars Shilpa Shetty who plays Tom Hanks's role and loses her job because she contracts AIDS. The movie was a stark eye opener for the Indian audience for sure but didn't perform too well at the box office. (4) Dallas Buyers Club (2013) © Focus Features The film is rather fascinating really. It's again an intense saga revolving around a man who is fighting AIDS in the 80s when it was still under-researched as a disease. As part of the Experimental AIDS Treatment Movement, he smuggled some unapproved drugs to treat his symptoms to Texas and also started distributing them to the other folks going through the same ordeal, by establishing the 'Dallas Byers Club'. He faces a lot of opposition from the Food and Drug administration for this but he fights it anyway. (5) My Brother Nikhil © Onir Directed by Onir, the film starts Juhi Chawla and Sanjay Suri in lead roles and talks about AIDS and homosexuality. The movie is based on true events and portrays how Nikhil, the main protagonist's life changes after he's diagnosed HIV positive. His parents don't accept him because of his sexual orientation and throw him out of the house. His friends leave him and he has no one to fight for him but his sister, played by Juhi Chawla. The movie is quite a stunning eye opener both about how HIV is looked at in our country and how homosexuality is recognised as well. (6) Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) © 20th Century Fox Although the movie doesn't talk about AIDS as much as it talks about Freddie Mercury's life but it does devote a few scenes to how Freddie contracted it and how it was very prevalent in the 80s-90s, the same time Queen was active as a band. It also talks about how Freddie was seeking radiation at wee hours in the morning, so that no one could find out he was battling the disease. Eventually upon his death, very few people knew he was fighting AIDS. His band mates started a foundation to help other HIV victims. There are numerous other movies made on making people more aware about AIDS. We've lost a lot of people due to this deadly disease and even though there has been a fair amount of progression in AIDS research today, we can only depend on various precautions we should be taking to avoid any contact with the HIV virus. Let's spread a little more awareness about this disease so more people take precautions and evolve genealogically to fight this virus once and for all! -
