  3. Justin Bieber, Hailey Baldwin soak up the winter sun as 2020 kicks offJustin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are kick starting the new year by soaking up the winter sun and extending their love to all their admirers. The two lovebirds extended their new year greetings to all their fans as the Sorry hit maker turned to Instagram to share a glimpse of how he and his ladylove marked the beginning of the decade. Sharing a sun-kissed picture of himself embracing the supermodel, Justin wrote: “Happy new year from the Beiber’s.” The duo was radiating some major Beverly Hills hotel vibes in the picture as the singer rocked pink swim trunks with a floral-printed, green satin button down, paired with a cap worn sideways. On the other hand, the fashionista kept it simple but was still nothing short of breathtaking even without makeup in a white bandeau bikini with a white button down shirt worn over it. The look was finished off with wire frame shades as gold earrings.
  4. An official of Sindh government says that schools across province will re-open on January 1, 2020 as planned. Photo: Geo News screengrabThe Government of Sindh's education department on Tuesday denied media reports regarding an extension in winter vacations in the province. Ahsan Ali Mangi, the secretary of School Education and Literacy Department, said that there was no change in the previously announced schedule, and reaffirmed that winter vacations in Sindh will conclude on December 31. He reiterated that schools across the province will re-open on January 1, 2020 as per the original plan. Earlier, some media organisations had reported that the vacations had been extended in Sindh till Jan 7 due to the ongoing wave of cold. While the schedule remains unchanged in Sindh, the Department for Schools Education has extended winter vacations in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa owing to the weather conditions. The schools across both the provinces, originally scheduled to re-open on Jan 1, will now resume activities on Jan 7.
  5. It's easy to assume that after the crazy Monsoon, Winter is going to go easy on your hair. But that's never the case really. Winter frizz is the real deal that is hard to foresee, and hair in the Winter can get just as frizzy as they do in the Summer if not more. © Getty Images So here's what you can do about this: 1. Use The Right Hair Products © Getty Images One should know their hair type and the corresponding shampoo that will work with it and one should also steer clear of sulfate and parabens in the formula when choosing a shampoo and conditioner. Keep an eye out for ingredients like coconut oil, argan oil, avocado, shea butter, and jojoba oil as these are super conditioning. 2. Scrub Less In Shower © Getty Images Washing your hair less will help your natural oils penetrate the hair and keep it hydrated. So keep washing hair to a minimum in a week or avoid it as much as possible. Natural oils are good at tackling the frizz. 3. Avoid Alcohol And Sulfates Products that contain alcohol or sulfates have drying formulas that'll make your hair more prone to frizz. Sulfates strip your scalp from natural oils. Instead, switch to glycerin or silicone-based products that are hydrating. 4. Use A Leave-In Conditioner/ Anti-Frizz Serum © Getty Images Adding a leave-in conditioner or an anti-frizz serum (whatever suits you more) to your shower routine will help lock in the moisture. Apply it to your wet hair after a shower while your hair is still wet. 5. Ditch The Post-Shower Towel Ritual © Getty Images Once you're done taking a bath, ditch the post-shower towel ritual of wrapping a fuzzy towel around your wet head. The fuzzy side will end up making your hair frizzy and reverse the goodness of the hydrating products that you previously used in the shower. View the full article

  7. It is a cold Sunday and while moving around might be a task, browsing channels and lurking around our streaming services looking for what to watch sometimes gets too boring. So if you're looking for some good laughs as you bring on a cup of coffee or drink beer with pizza in bed, here are five classic recommendations which will make you laugh and serve as the perfect Sunday companion for you. 1. The Office I trust you to have watched it already or maybe at least heard so much about it that you have often tried to spare time to start this fantastic series. If you work in a corporate set up, then this will double up as a balm for everyday workplace bruises that touch our hearts and brain. Brilliant script, insane laughter and spot-on characterisations, this is a must watch for everyone looking to laugh! 2. Scrubs The medical drama which made us laugh with its dismantled characters is a safe Sunday watch/re-watch with pizza and beer in bed. 3. 2 Broke Girls This comedy series follows the life of two friends, one raised as a billionaire's daughter, another raised in poverty, working together at a diner, trying to raise money to start their own cupcake business. This is not just comedy for a mindless watch but throws light on different perspectives of life which makes you wonder how life is a joke sometimes. 4. Fleabag Strictly for people with a penchant for taking everything with a pinch of salt. Insanely well written and scripted and enacted out by Phoebe Waller Bridge herself, this show will make you laugh at how raw and real the characters are. Prepare to embrace some dark humour served with twisted reality. 5. Two And A Half Men With over 262 episodes, it is safe to say this show will help you pass time on your couch for the entire Sunday evening. The show follows the lives of a hedonistic individual Charlie Harper living with a slightly more responsible brother Alan and his 10-year-old nephew in the same house. Guaranteed to make you laugh. 8. If you're someone who has done their homework when it comes to Winter skincare, that's great. However, there are certain commonly-believed-to-be-true myths out there that can actually do more harm than good. So while taking care of your skin is great, one shouldn't expose the skin to products/habits that can, in fact, reverse the good. These include: 1. Using Lotion Or Body Cream © Getty Images Using body cream or worse lotion on your face will do a terrible job on your face. The old runny consistency of these products isn't going to cut it anymore. These products aren't meant for your face. Make sure you're using a face cream, not a lotion. If you've been using a product at night, double it up and make it twice a day and use it both in the morning as well as at night. 2. You're Moisturising At The Wrong Time © Getty Images It makes a huge difference to moisturise immediately after bathing than not applying moisturiser at all or applying it long after the shower. A good idea is to stash your face moisturiser in your shower so you can apply it directly to damp skin before you step out of the washroom. 3. Using The Wrong Cleanser © Getty Images Avoid soaps that have an alkaline pH that can inflame the skin, as this further prevents hydration. Instead, use hydrating skin cleansers that are gentler on the skin barrier and leave the skin soft and moisturised later. 4. Your Moisturiser Has A Missing Ingredient © Getty Images One could be using moisturisers with the wrong ingredients without knowing. Look for skin-repairing ceramides, which fill in the cracks between skin cells and help the skin heal itself. The key is to always look for products with skin-soothing ceramides and glycerin. 9. Let's face it - your beard is an asset that helps you garner a lot of attention, right? Well, if that's the case, you should appreciate your beard because it can just do more than that. We have time and again spoken about ways you can grow a beard but there are several other reasons why you should not shave. Now that winter is here, your beard will be more than just an asset. If you didn't know it already, we can tell you that growing a beard has been linked to many health benefits as well. All you need to do is to take care of your beard this season and let it do the rest. Check out these solid health benefits you can attain with your hair follicles! 1. Sun Protection According to a study published by Oxford University, it is said that your facial hair acts as a barrier and protects your skin from UV radiation. The beard is a topmost layer in your skin that stops the rays from reaching the dermis which means no sunburn for you. If you have a long beard, you have enough protection. However, you should still continue using sunscreen when you step out. © Instagram,Ranveer singh 2. Keeps You Warm While the whole world is busy hoarding jackets and scarves, all you need is your beard, a warmer for winters. Studies have shown that a beard can keep you warm. When the cold weather hits, the hair tends to adjust with it and traps the heat that is closer to your skin. Your beard is not just protection but also a wind barrier when it is too chilly outside. © Istock 3. Retains Skin's Moisture Even though it is winter you still need moisturising. But for someone who has a beard, the frequency is less. The beard helps trap the oil and saves your skin from stripping completely. When it comes to applying creams, avoid using thick ones with your beard. You can also get your hands on beard oil or conditioner to keep your beard hydrated! © Istock 4. Beard Reduces Skin Infections Shaving constantly is one of the biggest culprits of ingrown hair, razor burns etc. With a beard, you don't have to fret much. A beard tends to add a protective layer to your skin that can save you from the ugly wrath of these things. Besides that, it also controls pollen grains and other infectious particles to reach your skin. © Istock View the full article
  10. A common norm that most people notice with the onset of the winter is flaky, dry and irritated skin. Inevitably, even if you think you're moisturising your skin well, that seems to be never enough to brighten up the face for a Monday morning work meeting especially during this season. Luckily, there is a tried and tested regime out there to get that perfect winter-glow that most people crave for. 1. Never Skip Moisturising Make sure to spend extra time massaging a moisturiser to boost skin's natural glow. Be generous with the moisturiser on your skin, and don't forget your neck too. Also, keep a separate moisturser for your face and the body. Try Pond's Men Daily Defence SPF 30 Face Crème. © Ponds 2. Know When To Moisturise Hydration is key but always ensure to moisturise in the morning. Applying moisturiser with dirty hands can lead to breakouts the next day. An ideal time to moisturise is right after taking a shower. This should be a step that should become a part of your routine, that you commit to unconsciously, just like brushing. 3. Stay Away From Talcum Powder Talcum can make fair skin look duller and flaky within seconds of application. Instead, post moisturising, use a BB cream that's one shade warmer than your skin tone. This will also have SPF that you need to protect your skin from the harmful UV rays. Try MensXP Mud Natural BB Cream For Men for even skin tone. © MensXP View the full article

  12. The versatility of a leather jacket cannot be questioned and it's definitely a must-have especially during the winter. The transitional months are the best to experiment with this style but with great outfits also comes great responsibility. Buying a leather jacket can put you in a pool of questions but a guide can help you pick the right one. These quick tips will let you find a jacket of your dreams and keep you warm for the coming months. 1. Fit The thing about leather jackets is that they cannot be baggy and have to snug with your skin. It is recommended that you go a size down, depending upon the leather type. Fit matters and that's what will make your style count. Try it out! © iStock 2. Picking The Right Colour Since you will be making a lot of appearances in your sassy leather jacket, it is important to stick to colours that also match with your personality. If you don't feel confident in a tan leather jacket, avoid it. Your safe bet in such cases would be a black or a coffee brown leather jacket. If you don't mind a splash of bright hues, take it up a notch with a red leather jacket! © iStock 3. Choose Your Style With so many trends flowing in the market, it can get a tad bit difficult to find your style. Think of all the occasions you would need this jacket for. Is it for professional use or casual outings? Here are some popular styles to choose from. (a) Biker Jacket A biker jacket comes with zips, elongated flaps and striking buttons. These jackets are usually black and just like the name suggests, it is intended for bikers and is a comfortable add-on to your wardrobe. © iStock (b) Bomber Jacket Making your outfit look sporty can be done right with a bomber leather jacket. This simple style has an easy-to-wear silhouette, just with one zip. The collar is made in a different fabric to keep the cold air out. This classic leather jacket is for everyone and will let you make a statement. © iStock (c) Racer Jacket Racer jacket comes with a minimal design. This jacket has zippers and can instantly elevate your style. That's how versatile it is! © iStock 4. Pay Attention To Its Sleeves Just like the sleeve of a t-shirt or any other jacket style should not extend the wrist line, the same goes for a leather jacket as well. It should not cross your wrist line otherwise it is long for you. Motorcycle jackets, in this case, are an exception as they usually have a longer sleeve. © iStock 5. The Length Should End At The Waistline Regardless of the style you choose, your leather jacket should end at your waistline. Long jacket style looks good with trench coats but a leather jacket will make it look shapeless. For a flattering style, keep this quick tip in mind. © Instagram 6. Shoulder Fit Matters The leather jacket at the shoulder should not be too tight but it shouldn't droop down as well. When you wear it, if it's hard for you to move your hands in circles, you might need a bigger size. Make sure you take this into consideration for a size that is yours. © iStock View the full article

  14. When it comes to style, it's what you make it. And the new rules are pretty much that there are none. While winter colours have traditionally always been earthier, toned-down hues, the last few seasons have seen the world veering towards a more colourful palette. And, thank God! We went through the list of the most trending hues this winter, and found you matching ones of celebrities donning the same. 15. As soon as winter arrives, the first problem that men usually start facing is dry and itchy skin. There are certain home remedies that are a fix to this issue but there are certain that are already a part of your daily routine that you have been missing out on. No matter what the season is, it is important to keep your skin hydrated all the time. Here's your quick survival guide for the months ahead: 1. Be Mindful When You Are Showering Everyone loves to have hot showers in winter but if you didn't know this already, hot showers can actually ruin your skin and are the biggest culprits of this season. The best way to deal with it is to avoid using soap and take showers with lukewarm water. Choose a mild cleanser and skip the stuff that has added fragrance to them. © iStock 2. Moisturising Is Very Important As the weather changes, your skincare routine should change too. A moisturiser that's oil-based creates a protective layer for your skin and has enough moisture to keep your skin itch-free, all day long. Make sure the cream doesn't clog your pores and has the goodness of natural oils in it. Apply a dab on your face before you head out. A body lotion that's enriched with almond or coconut oil can combat dryness and reduce the redness as well. © iStock 3. Avoid Wearing Wool You might not know or realise this, but wearing wool leads to dryness and this winter fabric, hence, is just a big no-no for you. If your skin is sensitive, it will instantly react with the fabric and the itch factor will become a serious problem. Stick to cotton or dress in layers to stay cosy in winter. © iStock 4. Take Care Of The Chap Not just your face, but your lips will be dry too in this season. Adding a shield for your skin is as important as any other grooming habits. Start with a good lip balm that also has SPF and can help you eliminate chapping. This method bolsters defence and is your saviour this season. © iStock View the full article
  16. A denim jacket is a true warrior in every man's sartorial arsenal. A heavy-duty style that can be teamed with trainers to tailoring or a hoodie, this outerwear adds an instant oomph factor to any look. But, aren't you a tad bit tired of wearing it over your white tee and blue jeans? Casually striding in it is a good thing but there are versatile ways you can experiment with just with one denim jacket. In order to help you avoid looking like you have repeated your jacket for the 100th time, here's a super-quick crash course on how to wear a denim jacket in five versatile ways. 1. Layer It Over A Printed Shirt Scoring extra brownie points while wearing your denim jacket is quite easy. To do so, make the best use of a printed shirt to go under your denim jacket. A pair of black pants will be your safe bet here as a combination. Wear your jacket and bring out your sassy sunglasses and beat the chills in style. Say Yes To Chinos Who said only tapered pants look good with denim jackets? You have been living under a rock if you haven't experimented with chinos just as yet. They are a smart wear option that work well to take up your casual style a notch higher. For a classic pairing, wear a basic tee or a shirt underneath your jacket and couple it with neutral coloured chinos. Super easy, right? © iStock 3. Denim With Tailored Trousers Contrary to the popular belief that a denim jacket can only look good for casual wear, pairing it with trousers can make a huge difference. Give a new meaning to smart casuals and work it with dark denim jackets. Layer it over a jumper or a black t-shirt, and pair it with charcoal trousers. Lastly, slip on your Derby shoes and get ready to make a statement. View this post on Instagram ðµLove myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do?ðµ . 17. Not that we men are averse to the idea of taking a bath every day during the winter, but can you really blame us if we skip showering every now and then when the mercury drops to five degrees Celsius? © iStock Don't we all just want to snug inside our cosy blankets and binge-watch movies and series on Netflix? Thought so. Unfortunately, such a blissful life is simply not possible, thanks to our hectic schedules. © iStock However, no matter how hard the going gets, we need to take a bath just so that we don't stink up our classrooms or office floor. Luckily, there are a few hacks that will not only allow you to skip a bath and still smell fresh and nice, but also help you deal with bad body odour at all times. Get Some Baby Wipes © iStock No matter what your grooming or skincare routine is, baby wipes are the single best investments you can make. Not only are they great to wipe off BB creams, spots of dirt and grime, they come in handy in all kinds of situations. As a rule of thumb, you should always keep a packet of wet wipes or baby wipes in your office drawer or college bag. Just take a few wet wipes to the washroom and clean your armpits from time to time. A baby wipe really comes in handy in such a situation. Not only does the antibacterial ointment keeps germs and bacteria at bay, it also helps you smell normal for an extended period of time. Get An Antiperspirant © iStock Once you have wiped your armpits with the baby wipes, apply some good antiperspirants. The best way to go forward is to use an antiperspirant that controls sweat. They usually work in two ways - either by not letting sweat reach the outer layer of the skin and secondly, by getting rid of the bacteria that is present on the skin. Follow this up with a good cologne and you are set. Apply Body Lotion Before A Cologne © MensXP Once you are done with the antiperspirant, apply some body lotion around your armpits. This way, when you put on cologne or deodorant, it stays on longer and does not need to be refreshed every now and then. Load Up On Cologne And Deodorants © iStock In case you don't have the tendency to sweat profusely, you can actually make do with a good deodorant or cologne. Again, this is one of those things that you should carry with yourself at all times, or at the very least, stow away in your office drawers. Just spray some of it on yourself as soon as you reach office and refresh it once during the day and you are all set. Leave-in Conditioners © iStock During the winter, everyone has a tendency to get some dandruff, mainly because the skin on the scalp becomes a little dry. This also means that if you don't wash your hair regularly, your hair may start smelling weird. One very effective way to avoid this is to wash your hair every day and dry it properly. However, if you don't want to do even that, just get some leave-in conditioners. Not only do they keep your hair looking tidy, they also make them smell good, and keep that awful stench away. Just make sure of one key thing - that you change all of your clothes every day. View the full article

You will have to swap your summer routine and utilise certain other grooming hacks during the bleak months. From using the right type of sunscreen (Yes, sunscreen) to keeping your face fresh this season, here are five grooming hacks you need to say yes to before winter hits. 1. Shave Post Your Shower Session © iStock Getting a shave before you go for a shower may seem like a good plan because you would save some time, but in a real scenario, especially during winters, you need to up your grooming game a little bit. Your pores will be softer if you shave post your shower. Go with the grain and you will be good to go for the season! 2. Use A Sunscreen © iStock Your skin will thank you if you use a sunscreen even in winters. At any point in time, the UV rays still show their wrath through fog or rains which ultimately leads to skin disasters. For you to not compromise and have a healthy mug, all year long, keep a small bottle of SPF 30 sunscreen handy with you. It will nourish and shield your skin and protect you from the nasty sun. 3. Dandruff Will Be A Big Deal © iStock One of the many negatives of winters is the fact that dandruff becomes a part and parcel of your life. Your scalp will be vulnerable in the cold and it will instantly dry out. There's a way to get rid of the unwanted flakes and it's by using an anti-dandruff shampoo and not using it every day, like you would in summers. Remember to wash it thrice a week and use a conditioner post shampooing, once a week. 4. Wash Your Face Before You Head To Bed © iStock Heading to bed with a clean face and body is very important. The wonders this method can do to your skin the next day is unmissable. Start with splashing some cold water on your face and use a face wash which is mild and made with natural ingredients. Avoid moisturising at night as this will give some space to your skin to breath. 5. If You Have A Beard, Use A Balm © iStock Beard balm adds an extra dose of moisture to your beard and seals the wax. Not just that, it also helps in shaping your beard and moustache and puts together your whole look. It's one of the best remedies during winters. 6. Exfoliation Is The Key © iStock Dry skin will be a bigger problem in winters and you will find yourself scratching more often. It's not the sweater but actually your grooming routine. Swap out your normal bar soap and say yes to a heavy-duty exfoliator. It will help you get rid of dead skin cells, improving the blood circulation in your skin and repair the damage. 7. Never Forget To Carry Your Lip Balm © iStock Your lips will turn dry and chappy in winters and since this is the thinnest skin on your entire body it is important that you keep it protected.
