The Indian cricket team comprises of numerous players who share more than just a good rapport with each other. And then, there are Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul whose bromance probably overshadows the camaraderie shared between other players in the team. From hanging out together on tours to exchanging their jerseys on the field, it's needless to say that the young duo is inseparable. However, the year 2019 started on a disastrous note for the Indian stars. The two cricketers were reprimanded for their demeanour on the popular TV show 'Koffee With Karan'. Its base clock is a supposed 1.4 Petahertz and overclock, well, if you overclock it, Newegg says you “might create a small black hole inside your CPU.” It's not something that we want, because the CPU will anyway be tucked inside a cooler, but it's a hilarious idea. Alright, I know the Galaxy Note 7 jokes are a thing of past now, but I couldn't help it. Samsung's subsidiary brand has made a flower vase that also doubles up as a fire extinguisher? Seriously, how can this not remind you about the Note 7 debacle? Called 'Firevase', the vase essentially works as a fire extinguisher when you throw it at a fire. The outer chamber is filled with potassium carbonate that quickly cools and suppresses oxygen when the vase is thrown at the fire like, well, a grenade. Don't worry, it also has an inner chamber to hold water for your flowers, so it works fine both ways. According to architecture and design magazine Dezeen, only 100,000 firevases were originally produced to promote the use of home fire extinguishers in South Korea, where having at least one home fire extinguisher per home is mandatory since 2017. © firevase - YouTube But since the promotional campaign was a success and it helped increase the number of homes with an extinguisher by 8 per cent, the company decided to produce more. -

The worst nightmares have come to reality for Horacio Sala, the father of the 28-year-old footballer, Emiliano Sala after the Cardiff City striker's body was finally identified by the Dorset police. Shortly after the body was brought to the Portland Port, HM Coroner for Dorset declared to the public that it was recovered from amidst the plane's wreckage and was in fact that of Emiliano Sala, whose jet mysteriously vanished from the air traffic control's radar on 22nd January 2019. In what can only be considered as the final moments of Sala, the footballer got in touch with his father with a WhatsApp voicemail in which he sounded nervous and scared for his life. "If in an hour and a half you have no news from me, I don't know if they are going to send someone to look for me because they cannot find me. But you know… Dad, I am so scared," he had said. Horacio Sala had opened up to the press a couple of days after the voicemail came out when he said: “He (Emiliano) was so happy that he was going there (Cardiff), to an even bigger club… He was doing too well, he was playing so well, and then this news… There are no words to describe the feeling.” Sala was a talented young star was had just signed a major deal with an English Premier League team, Cardiff City FC and was supposed to join his new team for a practice session a day after his unfortunate disappearance took place. He was loved by fans from both his previous team, Nantes, a French Ligue 1 team and Cardiff, equally, who came out in huge numbers to show their condolences with candles, jerseys and big colourful banners. While we're happy for Ranbir Kapoor when he gave us 'Sanju', the biggest hit of 2018, there are some movies he perhaps inadvertently didn't give his all too, which plummeted at the box office. Why're we telling you this? Well, because when he was giving us back-to-back flops films like 'Besharam' (2014), 'Roy' (2015), 'Tamasha' (2015) and 'Jagga Jasoos' (2017), he was actually trolled by a cop and asked to stop doing so! © Fox Star Studios Well, not literally trolled but recently the actor attended the Umang Police Show 2019 and narrated an incident when a cop asked him to stop one night and upon recognising him, gave him a lecture about his career and how he shouldn't give any more flops and instead, suggested he does a film where he plays a policeman! © Eros International Ranbir went onto stage and narrated the incident to Shah Rukh Khan who was also on stage with him and other prominent guests who were amidst the audience. Marvel Will Make A Terminally Ill Fan's Dying Wish To Watch 'Avengers: Endgame' Come True

Instead of the Avengers assembling, this time we had a pure moment of Marvel fans assembling to make a dying man's wish come true. A 33-year-old Marvel fan from Australia named Alexander is suffering from liver cancer, mouth cancer, and the rare genetic disease Fanconi anaemia which affects the bone marrow, and he thinks he could die before the official release of the movie 'Avengers: Endgame'. Being a huge fan, he decided to try his luck and asked people to help him get an early screening of the movie with a post on Reddit. But, he also noted he's “not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story”, just a normal guy. He thought he would make it to April, but his “bone marrow is toast”. It's good to see that even with so much happening, Alexander hasn't lost his sense of humour since the Reddit thread is called “Dying Before April: My Endgame”. Obviously, anyone would do anything to catch an early screening of one of the most awaited movies, but this is a special case and all the Marvel fans united to get Marvel and Disney to take notice. The internet came together and the hashtag #Avengers4Alexander spread on Twitter. With an update on the original post, he informed everyone that even apparently Chris Hemsworth, God of Thunder himself is aware of the situation because “Australia is a small place, turns out I know a guy who knows a guy who is chums with Chris Hemsworth”. With so many well wishes coming his way, he also wrote, “I don't know what the outcome will be but this has been amazing. If it doesn't pan out don't sweat it - I'll carry your kind words with me and that's worth far more.” He also took a cheeky shot and said, “Lastly, I don't mean to be greedy but since I'm triple dying can we throw Captain Marvel into the mix?” With this request, he also shared a picture of his dog as a bribe. And then, it finally happened, Disney reached out to him and the whole thing turned into one of the those rare, beautiful internet moments where everyone works together. An African Country Just Put A Ban On All Fairness Creams & We Wish India Takes Similar Steps

On a fairly lighter side of things (pun intended), we have some great inspirational news from the other part of the world. East African country Rwanda, has officially banned skin lightening and bleaching products and we couldn't be happier about the country's decision. The government is now sending officials around the country to enforce the ban more openly. The country is leading a campaign against skin bleaching and similar substandard cosmetics, especially products that include hydroquinone, a skin-lightening agent, in it. After all, it took an African country to stand up against some very intangible and ridiculous beauty standards that have been placed in high regard, almost all over the world. © Twitter "It is been implemented by the Ministry of Health and the Rwanda Food and Drug Authority and the Rwanda Standards Board," Simeon Kwizera, the PR and communications officer for the board told a popular publication. He also mentioned that the operations are being handled by technical people and that the police are ensuring all safety standards, while the operations are ongoing. The initiative was sparked by President Paul Kagame on social media, when he started a discussion on the need to ban skin whitening products, way back in November 2018. Well, it's a terrific move by the Rwanda government as they've realised the crucial health hazards that a chemical like hydroquinone can pose, even today.
