  1. It's that time of the year again when I go through my ritual of sending out PSAs to my non-Christian brethren to not go around wishing people a 'Happy Good Friday' and give high-fives saying “Yeah! Good Friday wala long weekend! Whooo!” The sad part is that despite my numerous attempts, through the years, there are always those select handful of morons who manage to fill my Whatsapp chats and social media feeds with a “Hey Marina, Happy Good Friday. Have a good one.” I can't even… via GIPHY Honestly, the mind just reels at the stupidity! What does it take for these people to get it? So, this year, I am taking my PSA responsibilities to the next level and am writing this article, to inform all you wonderful people, that walking around wishing Christians a 'Happy Good Friday' is probably the rudest and most disrespectful thing you could ever do. Now, I firmly believe that no one is doing this intentionally. Because if you ARE doing that, then my friend, the Lord save you. But I do believe that's it's clearly a simple matter of lack of information, which is making people say so. I mean, I get it. It has the word 'good' in it, so naturally, it's something to be celebrated, right? Sorry guys, but no. It, in fact, is one of the most solemn and sorrowful days for the Christian community across the globe. © Icon Productions Good Friday commemorates the day Jesus Christ was crucified to death in the most brutal way imaginable. The Bible says that Jesus was mercilessly beaten up, tortured and then made to carry his own cross on which he was crucified. Watch 'The Passion of Christ' to get a better idea. Yes, what's so 'good' about this entire thing, right? Clearly 'Sad Friday' would have been more apt. But there is a reason for Christ's suffering being labelled as 'good'. Now, I don't want to go into the whole logistics where the Oxford English Dictionary states that 'good' in this particular context, refers to “a day or season observed as Holy by the Church.” Instead, I want to show you the bigger picture and the deeper meaning behind Good Friday. We Christians firmly believe that Christ sacrificed himself to show his love for mankind. On Good Friday, we remember, according to 1 John 1:10, the day Jesus willingly died as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. His suffering and inhuman death, as extremely terrible as it was, was God's incredible plan to save all mankind, even though he had to sacrifice his one and only son. © Icon Productions I imagine if I was there that day Jesus died, I would have probably agreed with most of you lot and questioned what was so good about that day. All hope was lost, Satan was clearly having a party and evil had triumphed. But a few days later, something happened that turned the tables around. Good Friday is followed by Easter, the glorious day Jesus rose from the dead, marking his victory over sin and showing a future full of promise and forgiveness, for all those who believed in him. As terrible as the day was, Good Friday paved the way for mankind's salvation, which is marked as 'good' by us Christians. We humans are not capable of erasing all our sins and guilt, but Christ did the unimaginable and died for us. © Reuters Most Christians around the world spend the day in prayer and fasting and confessing their sins, as they prepare for the Easter celebrations. So there you go, I really, really, really hope I have successfully made you guys understand the meaning and the significance of this day. And here's hoping I don't see any 'Happy Good Friday' messages on my feed anymore!
  2. Everyone loves Ryan Reynolds and everyone loves Hugh Jackman, but people love both of them even more, when they're together. These two aren't just fantastic actors, but also two of the nicest human beings out there, and that's why their friendship is so pure. In case you didn't know, it was Ryan's birthday yesterday and wishes for him were pouring in from everywhere. But, just saying 'happy birthday' is so boring and wishing someone like Ryan with that bland-ass message is a straight up crime. So, obviously Hugh had a special message for Ryan and it's the greatest Wolverine-Deadpool crossover ever. Because I'm told that I AM THE NICEST GUY and you're NOT. @VancityReynolds ... I will let you hug me. Just this once. On your birthday. pic.twitter.com/OoW3ZJiN2N — Hugh Jackman (@RealHughJackman) October 23, 2018 “Because I'm told that I AM THE NICEST GUY and you're NOT.” – wow, Hugh really knows Ryan a little too well. See, he's so nice. He also let Ryan hug him for just one time. Clearly, he really does love his fans. Here's Ryan's reply. This man is a monster. He's not even from Australia. He's from Milwaukee. https://t.co/CxHceP4d9L — Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) October 23, 2018 When there are two great people talking online, so many fans come together to just be happy about the interaction and this time was no different. But, even Ryan hasn't aged! @VancityReynolds wishes he aged (or rather didn't age) like you ð pic.twitter.com/q6qvw1P7n0 — Trudy (@trudyhp) October 23, 2018 What happened in the bedroom should probably stay in the bedroom. This is the whole story.... what actually happened in that bedroom ðððððð#HappyBirthdayRyanReynolds pic.twitter.com/VDvz4wE9H2 — Vikrant Aarav (@aarav_vikrant) October 23, 2018 Great photoshop! 3. If you still feel personally victimized by the ending of 'Avengers: Infinity War', raise your hand. If you are still desperately waiting for literally any information about 'Avengers 4', raise your hand. Well, there's not anything about the first one, but if you agreed to the second one, your prayers may have just been answered. After waiting for months and wondering if all our favourite characters will come back or not, we finally have something related to 'Avengers 4' and it's honestly the only thing you need to make your Monday blues go away. A detailed description of the 'Avengers 4' trailer is here but the only catch is that no one knows if it's for real or not, since it's not 'official'. But, since all Marvel fans have been deprived of any knowledge about the next movie, we'll just latch on to this for now, because we're that desperate for 'Avengers 4'. If we believe the mysterious Reddit post – that doesn't exist anymore – there seem to be a lot of fan theories that will be proven correct in the trailer and the movies. Here's the detailed description of all the things that will supposedly appear in the trailer, everything from a damaged gauntlet to a Tony Stark-Steve Rogers reunion to the soul world and quantum realm. Here it goes! “The trailer starts off showing the damaged Infinity Gauntlet in a field on the farm planet. As the camera focuses in on the Gauntlet, we hear Tony's voice: “We were destined to lose.” Epic music score starts. The Quinjet is shown landing in a Wakandan wasteland as we hear Steve Rogers say: “We have come so far.” Tony and Nebula step off the jet as the remaining Avengers approach. Steve has a look of relief and says: “Tony”. Tony, seemingly defeated, shakes his head and gives a friendly smirk back to Cap. Marvel Studios Logo appears. The Iron Man and Captain America reunion we deserve! The next will be a hashtag throwback to the first Avengers movie. Well, at least Loki is there, let's all appreciate that. “We get a glimpse of the Battle of New York from 2012 Avengers. Loki is shown looking shocked and baffled as he is on top of the Stark tower. There is a flash of a blue light as the camera pans back. (Cuts to black) Next, we see the Wakandan throne with M'Baku at the helm. He's surrounded by his new king's guard. (A mix of the hill tribe and Dora Milaje). Shuri and Banner are seen working on a new project in the lab. Black Widow, in full gear, is in Hawkeye's family home from Age of Ultron. Basically, everything is thrown all over the place and broken. Nat is studying some type of map with multiple photos and locations on it. A quick shot of Thanos is shown with a long sword, walking down an alleyway in New York City. The next shot is a dark hooded figure with glowing eyes, aiming a bow and arrow before shooting towards the camera.” Hawkeye is back! “(1-2 visuals of the Quantum Realm) Scott Lang (no suit) is shown running through a park dodging explosions. (Shot of Space) Thor and Valkyrie are aboard a Kree ship. Thor says: “If the stories are true, you're our universe's last hope. If such a thing even exists anymore”. The next shot is an older, determined Tony Stark walking through the new SHIELD HQ (Avengers Facility in upstate New York). He's in full SHIELD attire and carrying an orange briefcase. Banner (wearing spandex) is seen running from something, looking terrified. The next shot is Ant-Man appearing out of a flash of light and landing in a desolate place. We see it from his point of view from inside his helmet. He looks left to right and to his left again and says: “What in the-“. Well, looks like Scott managed to get out of the Quantum Realm, but the real question is how? “We see Captain Marvel floating with her fists on fire and her eyes lit up. Thanos in the soul stone with young Gamora screaming at him, Loki and Thor fighting off Chitauri together and Tony handing Steve a brand new shield in the Wakandan throne room. (Cuts back to Tony and Scott) Tony opens the orange briefcase as Scott hands him an illuminated bracelet. Tony asks: “How?… Is this even possible?” Iron Man and Ant-Man are shown travelling through the Quantum Realm. Tony and Scott are back in the battle of New York from 2012. The final shot before the title reveal is an Infinity Stone disappearing from Thanos' damaged gauntlet. He abruptly gets up and puts on his armour. His face goes from extremely infuriated to a menacing smile.” It all goes to 'The Avengers', time to rewatch it for the thousandth time. Did Tony and Scott manage to destroy an infinity stone by going back in time? “Title reveal: Avengers: Annihilation” We know the title also now apparently. “Stinger: The Hulk is training at the new SHIELD facility with Black Widow and Steve. Steve notices that Hulk has been training non-stop as of late, so he asks why. Hulk responds in Banner's normal voice with: “My rematch is coming real soon, I can feel it!” Looks like The Hulk is finally back, good for him! While we don't know if this is real or not, it sounds so exciting and interesting that I really hope it's true. Plus, the time travelling will also explain how everyone comes back to life, because let's be real, they will. I mean, we can't have a Spider-Man movie without Spider-Man and a Black Panther movie without Black Panther. Marvel, just give us the trailer already, we deserve it after that heart-breaking 'Infinity War' ending.
