Desi Parents Are Shook That Their Kids Woke Up At 5 AM To Download 'Game Of Thrones' For Free
ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsAfter making people wait for almost two years, the final season of 'Game Of Thrones' is finally here and looks like no one is as excited about the show as us. But, it's the Indian parents who are the happiest today. Why? Because what they or the alarm clocks couldn't do for years, the makers of 'GOT' did it in a single day - make people wake up at 5 AM. © HBO Until last week, people were looking for ways to deal with Monday blues and finding excuses to sleep a few more minutes. But, today things have changed and the only blue people are concerned about are the Night King's eyes. © HBO Turns out Indians are super excited to watch the first episode of season 8, but for free. So, instead of logging into Hotstar premium, they were busy looking for free alternatives. For that most people woke up around 5 AM to try downloading the episode for free from Torrent. © Quartz According to a report in Quartz, between 5 AM and 9 AM, Google Trends showed that 'Torrent file' was a more popular keyword than 'Hotstar' in India. © Quartz In fact, torrent sites like 'DIRECTV' and its misspelling 'direct tv' were among the rising trends. Honestly, the fact that people are looking for free alternatives to watch the episode does not surprise me as much as the fact that they woke up at 5 AM to do it. I mean, people across the country were setting alarm for 5 AM and 6:30 AM, not to catch an early morning flight or study for exams, but to watch the first episode of 'Game Of Thrones' season 8. And not just any day, a Monday. If you think I am exaggerating and the insane craze is a big lie, check out the tweets here where people are posting screenshots of alarms. ADMIN posted a blog entry in FDF Online NewsFirst of all, you're reading this story in the Technology Section, simply because we do not have a vertical specifically for stupidity. A thief, who happened to be a teenager, broke into a 60-something couple's home in order to steal the most unexpected thing. Many things could have gone wrong, especially when a criminal has broken into your home, however, what happened next is pure millennial stupidity. © YouTube The intruder, please bear with me, actually woke the couple up in the middle of their sleep and asked the password to their Wi-Fi. Yes, even I was like "what the actual f**k?” The masked intruder was obviously declined by the homeowners and was shoved down the hallway and out the front door. The couple obviously called the police before throwing him out. The event took place in Palo Alto, United States and to much surprise, it wasn't the first time this burglar had attempted this stupid act. © Pxhere The Police said that the 17-year-old burglar had attempted another Wi-Fi theft in a home nearby. When he was confronted by the homeowner, he “asked to use their Wi-Fi network because he was out of data,” according to police. The residents obviously told the teenager to bugger off and he rode off on a bike, which the couple later discovered had been stolen from their backyard. As of now, the burglar is facing charges for burglary as well as a misdemeanor count of prowling. We hope this boy realises how stupid his actions were and what led to his eventual arrest. New Rule - if you run out of data on your phone, don't go breaking into people's homes for the Wi-Fi password. Just recharge your phone for additional data as it would be a cheaper ordeal. Geez!
