  1. Akshay Kumar recently,in an interview, revealed as to why he only works with debutant directors and not big directors. The 52-year-old actor, who will be next seen in his upcoming film Good Newwz, told IANS in an interview, “I work with new directors because big directors don't take me (in their films). That is the truth.” He added, "When big people don't take you (in their films), you have to start your journey. If you don't get a job in a big publication, you will go through a smaller one. From there you jump. You cannot just sit at home and wonder why people don't take me (in their films) despite me being so capable.” © Dharma Prroductions Akshay 'Khiladi' Kumar has worked with more than 20 newcomer directors such as Jagan Shakti for Mission Mangal, Shivam Nair for Naam Shabana, Tinu Suresh Desai for Rustam and many more. Besides, he also expressed how the films were gone to the ones who deserved it. "They (big directors) went to the people who deserved it. You see, it's not that only the Khans were around. There were the Kapoors and the others. I presume I didn't deserve it, so I earned it my way," he added. "I still don't have big directors (directing me). They are producing films with me but they are not directing. Karan Johar is there, you should ask him. You should ask Adi Chopra (Aditya Chopra)," said the actor. Speaking about having worked with a new director yet again in his upcoming film, Akshay said, "Raj Mehta is my 21st new director. I also feel their greed to do good work is far more than many old directors. For them, it is a do or die situation because (they think) if the film doesn't work, then they are finished." In the film Good Newwz, which is scheduled to release on December 27, Akshay will be seen with Kareena Kapoor, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. View the full article
  2. Slowly but steadily, Esports is getting some well-deserved attention. And what's interesting is that it's not just the adults who are making it big in Esports these days, as even kids are making a big name for themselves by playing games like Fortnite and PUBG. You remember the kid who won $4 million by winning the Fortnite World Cup, right? Well, now, we're looking at a team of kids from Indonesia who walked away with a hefty cash prize by winning the PUBG Mobile Club Open Fall Split Global. Yes, Team Bigetron RA from Indonesia just won the tournament and walked away with a whopping $180,000, which roughly translates to about Rs 1.29 Crore. Let that sink in for a moment. You just can't keep them down! @realbigetron takes their 5th(!) Chicken Dinner of the #PMCO2019 Fall Split Global Finals sponsored by Vivo in Round 12. Is a 6th possible? https://t.co/2LpM7xrJDa pic.twitter.com/ZeTqqhD1m3 — PUBG MOBILE (@PUBGMOBILE) December 1, 2019 The runner-up also won $90,000 which is also not a small amount. It roughly translates to about Rs 65 Lakh. That being said, winning such a tournament isn't an easy thing to pull off. It takes a lot of practice since you'll essentially be competing with the best teams out there. India's Team SouL also competed in a different split, but they couldn't get through to the finals. Team SouL participated this year as well, but they only managed to put a score of 103 on the board after 16 matches, whereas the winning team had 303. Nonetheless, we're incredibly proud of the team and we hope they'll win it next time. The overall standings after 16 grueling matches in 3 intense days for the #PMCO2019 Fall Split Global Finals, sponsored by #Vivo! You have your Top 3 representing teams, @TOP_Esports_ & @MEGAEsportsSEA with @realbigetron claiming the World Championship in 1st place! #BeTheOne pic.twitter.com/NDHRBFIqhP — PUBG MOBILE Esports (@EsportsPUBGM) December 1, 2019 But coming back to the Esports part, we think it's high time people start taking Esports seriously. There's a huge scope in this field and since it's still evolving, there's a lot of room for growth. It makes us really happy to see these young talents getting all the attention they deserve. We really hope more parents will come across such achievements and let their kid pursue a future in gaming, instead of making them feel bad for gaming. View the full article
  3. Arjun Kapoor is busy promoting what could potentially be a career-defining film for him, Panipat. While he was busy shooting this much-awaited film all of last year, he had to conceal his looks from us by wearing a hat for all of his public appearances to hide his look for the film. However, now that Panipat's trailer is out, and in fact the film is scheduled to release in a few weeks, Arjun is back to his usual form. For Panipat's song premiere, Arjun was out with his co-actor Kriti Sanon to promote this song. And while doing that, he served us with a rather interesting fashion lewk that is certainly going to be a major inspiration for men for the coming wedding season this year. The 34-year-old actor wore an asymmetrical kurta and paired it with a shacket from Antar Agni, along with coordinated black shoes. Here, take a look: Well, here's the interesting part. Arjun is close friends with Ranveer Singh, the man who made outlandish fashion mainstream in India. We feel that over time, Ranveer's experimental side has rubbed onto Arjun as well. Besides, now that Arjun is finally exploring avante garde trends, we're seeing him experiment with all sorts of androgynous trends, case in point this outfit. Panipat is slated to release on December 6, and we can't wait to see his other curated looks for the film's promotions. 4. Ranbir Kapoor might be under the radar when it comes to making public appearances but when he does, his sartorial sensibilities don't go unnoticed. Every time he is spotted at the airport, he is seen making a statement wearing a perfect blend of streetwear and athleisure. Not just that, this impeccable star is also a low-key sneakerhead who knows how to up his game wearing kicks that turn heads. © viralbhayani Recently, he was spotted with Alia Bhatt at the airport. We cannot say anything on their relationship status but the duo sure knows how to strike a chord with their audience with their impeccable fashion game. While Alia was seen wearing a vibrant ensemble, Ranbir, on the other hand, was at his relaxed best. But, what's actually worthy to look at is the fact that he was seen wearing two different sneakers. Yes, they are unmatched and he aced the trend! © Sneakernews © Sneakernews Ranbir is sporting Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1. The shoes have a leather texture and the inner sole is complemented with cactus jack label. The rich details of this pair are quite striking. Not just that, these sneakers come with different laces that give it a feel of two unmatched sneakers. © viralbhayani Not just Ranbir, but even Abhishek Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor were also spotted wearing two different sneakers recently. Looks like this trend is going to completely take over B-town. Time to take some inspiration, right? © viralbhayani As for RK's outfit, he is wearing a black sweatshirt with relaxed joggers. His airport look sure has an uber-cool vibe. Hats off, Ranbir! View the full article
  5. The Indian cricket team just picked a phenomenal series win against Bangladesh after absolutely dominating them with an innings defeat in both the Test matches. After receiving the trophy, the captain of the Indian side, Virat Kohli thanked former skipper and the current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly for bringing about a winning culture in the dressing room. View this post on Instagram Adding one more glistening silverware to our ðð cabinet #TeamIndia #PinkBallTest @paytm A post shared by Team India (@indiancricketteam) on Nov 24, 2019 at 1:23am PST "The idea is to establish yourself in the middle and we have learnt to stand up and give it back. It all started with Dada's team and we are just carrying it forward," Kohli said after bagging the series. Now, the tale of how Ganguly's aggressive attitude as a leader rejuvenated the status of the Men in Blue especially amidst the spot-fixing allegations over its members and a chaotic environment in the Indian cricket board, is well known and talked about. Sourav Ganguly became captain and lifted Indian cricket out of turmoil after his predecessor Mohd Azharuddin was at the centre of the match-fixing scandal. To see them in one frame, when Ganguly is again back at the helm, is massively ironic. pic.twitter.com/HJ7YnidG0M — Rahul Fernandes (@newspaperwallah) October 25, 2019 However, evidently, Kohli's comments seemed to have irked former Indian batsman and ICC Hall of Famer Sunil Gavaskar who said: "This is a fantastic win but I would like to make a point. The Indian captain said that this thing started in 2000 with Dada's (Ganguly's) team. I know Dada is the BCCI President, so maybe Kohli wanted to say nice things about him. But India were also winning in the '70s and '80s. He wasn't born then." "A lot of people still think that cricket started only in 2000s. But the Indian team won overseas in the '70s. The Indian team also won away in 1986. India also drew series overseas. They lost like other teams did," Gavaskar added. Maybe Kohli wanted to say nice things about BCCI president Ganguly: Gavaskar takes a dig at India captain pic.twitter.com/YPHiACxOnk — Nitish Shekhawat (@nitishshekhawa1) November 24, 2019 It was Sourav Ganguly's first series as the head of BCCI and he made some executive decisions like organising the first ever pink-ball Test in the country, in his hometown of Kolkata, which led to significant rise in Test-match viewership and a packed Eden Gardens stadium. Given Ganguly's aforementioned attitude towards acting on pressing matters and the fact that he is here to make significant changes within the Indian cricketing culture in a very limited time-span of less than eight months now, he is the most feared man right now. It is therefore obvious that literally anyone and everyone would want to be in his good books. “I know Dada is the BCCI President, so maybe Kohli wanted to say nice things about him,” Gavaskar's words suddenly sound a lot more wiser. 6. Earlier this month we came across the WhatsApp Pegasus spying controversy which raised a lot of questions about our privacy. In fact, WhatsApp was recently under the scanner for malware that could let anyone hack into our phones. Now, we've learned that our government can essentially hack into any of our phones and gain access to intercept our communication, decrypt information and more. Yes, it's quite scary if you think about the fact that our own government is "empowered" to not only monitor but also intercept our communication at any given time. © Reuters In fact, there's an open document on the Lok Sabha website which states that "Section 5 of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885 empowers lawful interception of messages." You can read it right here. It states that permission to tap our phones is approved by the Union Home Secretary (for Central Government), and the Union Home Secretary of the State concerned (in case of a State Government). The document also states that a total of 10 government agencies have the necessary authorization to intercept our communication at any given time. Here's the complete list of the agencies - 1. Intelligence Bureau 2. Narcotics Control Bureau 3. Enforcement Directorate 4. Central Board of Direct Taxes 5. Directorate of Revenue Intelligence 6. Central Bureau of Investigation 7. National Investigation Agency 8. Cabinet Secretariat (RAW) 9. Directorate of Signal Intelligence © Reuters This particular matter was brought to light by minister of state for home affairs G Kishan Reddy while responding to questions in the parliament. In his response, he cited the said document. It's also worth pointing out that the government is currently trying to get Facebook to eliminate end-to-end encryption so they can trace the messages back to the sender or receiver. While that sounds like a fair request for tracking terrorists and others who are a threat to the nation, we aren't sure everyone concerned about their privacy wouldn't find it intrusive. If Facebook gets rid of end-to-end encryption, not only the government but even hackers will be able to trace all the messages and more. Facebook isn't budging though, but we wonder what will happen in the future. And the fact that our government agencies have the authorization to get into our phones any time isn't helping the case either. Of course, Reddy didn't suggest that the agencies with access are indeed tapping our phones actively. However, it's hard to believe that some people out there can legally tap into our phones. It certainly raises a lot of questions about human rights violations among many others. Source: Lok Sabha Document View the full article
  7. Instagram began to hide the number of users who have liked your posts earlier this week. According to reports, the social media app said it's part of an on-going effort to create a less stressful experience and the feature was made available to a few users in the US. But it looks like, the company has decided to go global with its efforts. On Thursday, Instagram announced to expand the 'Private Like Count' test globally, including India. According to Vishal Shah, Vice President of Product, Instagram, the feedback of the test has been pretty positive and they've hence decided to test it globally. © Reuters According to a report in Hindustan Times, Vishal said, "While the feedback from early testing has been positive, this is a fundamental change to Instagram, so we're continuing our test to learn more from our global community." Users who are a part of this test will continue to see the number of likes and views their posts and videos get. It's their followers who won't be able to see any of that number. Is it a good thing? Well, it depends on the kind of user you really are. The folks over at The Guardian reported that influencers saw the "like" counts fall during the test though. In a way, the number of likes and views on your posts shows the level of engagement your posts can get. Obviously, if you have more engagement, then more brands would want to partner with you for promoting their products and services. But if hiding the "like" count is affecting the engagement, then this could be something to worry about. © Reuters We're not entirely sure how it's affecting the users here in India or how the popular users are reacting to it just yet, but we'll soon learn more as the test starts reaching more users here. The influencer market is a lot bigger than you think it is, so this is actually a startling shift for many which could change the way users use the platform. 8. As you probably already know, foldable phones out there are quite fragile. I mean, Samsung even had to delay the launch of the Galaxy Fold after it got a lot of flak for making a phone that was breaking with just a couple of days of usage. And just when we thought things could not get any weirder than they already are, a new foldable phone has showed up online which is unlike anything we've seen before. The electronics company TCL recently showcased a new prototype foldable phone with three folds. Yes, you read that right. TCL's prototype has two hinges and it folds in three parts. It opens into a huge 10-inch tablet, which is cool, but three folds? Really? Just look at this thing - © CNET It looks extremely fragile, right? The two hinges, as you can see, create a zig-zag shape as you open and close it. It creates a very cool looking 'Z' shape, and the way it folds makes it look like an accordion. Once you completely fold the phone, it looks as if you've stacked three huge phones on top of each other. The part of the screen that's exposed outside once it's completely folded, becomes its 'outer' screen. The best part, however, is that it opens up to showcase a single uninterrupted screen. © CNET Foldable phones are cool and all, but the way these manufacturers are pushing the limits is just making things crazier by the day. We already know how delicate these foldable phones can be. In fact, we don't think any of even the existing foldable phones are ready to be used as daily drivers. And making a triple-folding phone as the one TCL has showcased here is just asking for more trouble. Yes, the prototype sure makes it look like multi-tasking will be a joy, but we wonder at what cost? More moving parts on a phone means more chances of breaking it or wearing out over time, doesn't it? It definitely looks cool, but we're not sure if we want that to be the future of foldable. 9. ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) was celebrating World Space Week and everything was going smoothly, until people got to know who the event's chief guest was - Chetan Bhagat. People didn't feel this bad even when ISRO lost contact with Vikram Lander, as much as they are hurt after learning that Chetan Bhagat was their chief guest. Bhagat posted pictures from the event, expressing how honoured he is to be the chief guest of this event. He wrote, "Really honoured to be the Chief Guest at ISRO for the recent celebrations of the World Space Week. I can't believe one of India's finest organisations chose me to address them. Truly a big moment of my life - my own moon landing." Really honoured to be the Chief Guest at ISRO for the recent celebrations of the World Space Week. But, what happened next was something that we did expect to happen, but not too soon and definitely not in such a brutal way. Hey, let's respect this man! If he can judge a dance reality show despite being an author, he can definitely address scientists at ISRO. What if his next is a science fiction called 'Vikram Blunder' or '2 Satellites'? On a serious note, let's hope he doesn't write it though. But, people 'launched' a meme fest and starting roasting him brutally for something that wasn't exactly his fault. That man got the invite, he went there. Well, that's exactly why people didn't spare ISRO either. Many joked how ISRO has lost its senses after losing Vikram Lander. This is like #AIIMS inviting a homeopath to address its annual conference — JayEnAar (@GorwayGlobal) November 5, 2019 Dont know about your feeling honoured. ISRO surely has dishonoured itself by calling you. — Syed Usman (@Sydusm) November 5, 2019 I didn't knew that ISRO was going through such a bad phase. 10. Until recently, people were only talking about Keanu Reeves being immortal. Actually, they still do. It does not make sense at all for a 55-year-old guy to look hotter and younger than people half his age. Either he's genetically blessed, secretly sipping some magical potion or his doctor's Botox game is super strong. © Reuters Anyway, people were so obsessed with proving that Reeves is immortal that everyone forgot that the actor was also single all this time (for decades, actually). Well, we don't know about the immortality theory, but 'Internet's Boyfriend' is officially off the market now. Folks, this news might hurt some people, but Reeves just went public with his 46-year-old girlfriend, Alexandra Grant and people can't keep calm anymore. © Instagram The couple made their first public appearance at LACMA Art + Film Gala held in Los Angeles, where the couple walked the red carpet holding hands. So, who exactly is Alexandra Grant? Well, here's what we came to know about the woman who stole Reeves' heart: 1. Alexandra is a Los Angeles-based artist. According to reports, Keanu collaborated with her on the books 'Ode To Happiness' (2011) and 'Shadows' (2015). She is often described as "a text-based artist who uses language and networks of words as the basis for her work in painting, drawing and sculpture". © Instagram 2. Keanu and Alexandra started a publishing company together called X Artists' Books in 2017 and have been running it together since. 3. Alexandra is also a philanthropist who founded the grantLOVE project in 2008. The organisation sells products like hoodies and screen prints to raise funds for non-profit organisations and other artists. © Instagram 4. From the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the Contemporary Museum in Baltimore, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) to the Galerie Gradiva in Paris, Alexandra's work has been featured in major museums across the world. 5. 11. Sidharth Malhotra is one B-town celebrity who likes to keep his style minimal and yet makes a maximalist statement with it. There's no denying the fact that his style garners a lot of attention and is always on point. He is a fan of luxury brands and is mostly seen outshining the crowd in his Louboutin sneakers or Gucci suits. He truly brings the best fashion foot forward and we cannot stop adoring his sartorial sensibilities. © Instagram/Sidharth Malhotra Recently, for the promotions of his upcoming movie, Marjaavan, Sidharth looked dapper in his OTT outfit. But one thing that was the most impressive of all was his dirty sneakers. What a jaw-dropping statement! Sidharth's sneakers have the same vibe and even though they appear dirty, they are still a classier version. The original price of these sneakers is a whopping Rs. 52,229 but currently, they are available for Rs. 15,619 which makes for a great deal! © Instagram/Sidharth Malhotra Coming to his outfit, the Marjavaan actor sported a grey t-shirt and layered it with a distressed denim jacket on it. 12. In a shocking revelation, WhatsApp has confirmed that a lot of Indian users including journalists, human rights activists, lawyers, etc. were targeted and had been under state-of-the-art surveillance. The operators who were targeting these users were apparently using Israeli spyware Pegasus. This disclosure comes after WhatsApp's announcement in which it said they're suing NSO Group, an Israeli surveillance firm that's responsible for the spyware. Using the spyware, it appears as though the spies managed to hack into the phones of roughly 1,400 users. © Reuters The affected users span across four continents and include some high profile names who belong to different fields. Indian journalists and human rights activists have apparently been the target of surveillance, according to a spokesperson who spoke to The Indian Express. "Indian journalists and human rights activists have been the target of surveillance and while I cannot reveal their identities and the exact number, I can say that it is not an insignificant number," said the spokesperson. © Reuters The spyware requires the target to click on an exploit link which then allows the operator to hack into the phone's security and install the spyware without the user's knowledge. From there, the hacker can essentially access any information that's on the phone like passwords, contacts, text messages, messages from other services, emails, etc. WhatsApp says it has contacted the affected users to notify them about the breach. These users were under surveillance for two weeks, which is a lot if you think about it. And now that this has happened, we wonder how safe our messages and conversations really are. © Reuters WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the most popular messaging platforms in various parts of the world including India. In fact, almost all of us who own a smartphone use WhatsApp on a daily basis to catch up with our friends or family. But the news about the spyware attack is really making us reconsider. Perhaps it's time to switch to something that's more secure. View the full article
  13. For any actor, especially from a moderate family background, to reveal that he or she would be part of a nude scene in the debut movie to his or her parents won't be an easy task. After struggling for years, Rajkummar Rao faced the camera for the first time in Dibakar Banerjee's 2010 film, Love *** Aur Dhokha and he was given a brief (pun intended) that he would have a nude shot in the movie. After he got to know about it, he had to confront his parents and tell them the truth. “I met Dibaker Banerjee and he then told me, 'you know, there is a scene where you have to be fully naked in the scene'. It took me seconds to just understand, and then I said, 'yeah it's fine, it's my job'. I said, anything for my part. But I knew that I would now have to tell my parents and my family!" recalled Rajkummar in an interview with Neha Dhupia. For anyone, this would have been a nightmare but Rajkummar had an idea that his parents are cool and would understand. On this, he added, “They (the actor's parents) were cool. I just told them, I didn't even ask. I just told them, 'there is this film I got', and they were very happy. And then, 'you know, in the last scene I might be naked'. They were like, 'What!' I said mujhe nanga hona padega shayad! I told them, '(I'll be required to expose) only back, only back... no frontal nudity'. They were okay with it, never discussed this point.” Post this, Rajkummar also shot nude scenes for Shahid and Omerta. All those who have worked with the 35-year-old actor or those who know him in person would for sure know that the actor gives his 100 percent to the character he has been roped in for and never fails to impress the viewers with his brilliant acting skills. Rajkummar was last seen in Made In China wherein he played the role of a Gujarati businessman, Raghu, who embarks on a journey to China in order to make his business flourish. Shahid Kapoor makes sure that he's never put in a box or a category. From taking up roles that are on the extreme ends of the same continuum in films like Kabir Singh and Padmaavat, to embracing quirky outfits like his second skin, he's clearly always been open to experimental ideas. What a lot of people don't know about Shahid Kapoor is the fact he's also a sneakerhead considering he's made a couple of flashy sneaker appearances. So, for Diwali when everyone got dressed in standard ethnic outfits, he decided to give a unique twist to his Diwali outfit. Shahid Kapoor's intriguing and yet admirable outfit for Diwali raised eyebrows everywhere. This was because he wore a very interesting outfit that Game Of Thrones fans would definitely wouldn't mind getting for themselves. He wore an ombre kurta in shades of black and orange with Winterfell's emblem on the front pocket. Led by 81-year old veteran engineer Yehuda Shmueli (who is assisted by his sons Eitan and Doron), the engines they've come up with are essentially conventional piston engines, designed to run on 70% water and 30% ethanol or any other kind of alcohol - completely bypassing the need for fossil fuels. The most radical thing about this prototype is that any car engine can be tuned and modified to fit its specifications, without major modifications. The results are twofold - not only would fossil fuels remain conserved along with spending on fuel - even the emissions figures are considerably lower. Highly reactive and toxic to life, sulphur and nitrogen oxides are completely avoided in Maymaan's engines. © Jerusalem Post The prototypes exist in four forms - a fully-functional vehicle, a power generator and different specifications of engines. We're told that the performance figures are considerable, with sufficient torque, power and efficiency numbers. Unsurprisingly, the prototypes took a staggering six years to design - with plans kept under secrecy through the development phase. Though Yehuda feels that the automobile market is currently too fixated on electric vehicles, he remains confident in his work. © Jerusalem Post "We have stayed under the radar for the past six years,” he said. “We decided that this is the right time to expose ourselves and talk to people and let the world know that such a solution exists."
  16. Hardik Pandya sure knows how to turn heads with his eccentricities and the aberrant sartorial choices he makes. From a pyjama set that's worth over one and half lakh rupees, to wearing a watch worth Rs 80 lakh, while recuperating from a surgery, still being in the hospital, the man has done it all. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 However, he is not really known for pulling off an outfit that people would consider “classy” or elegant. Sure, he was something beyond this world when he walked the ramp for designer Amit Aggarwal, but that's a different case altogether. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 Subtlety is clearly not Hardik's strong suit - that distinction goes to his elder brother, Krunal. However, this time around, Hardik changed the tune, and stepped out in one of the most elegant outfits that we have seen this year on a cricketer. In fact, we have to say, one of the classiest outfits this year, period. © Viral Bhayani Hardik attended Mukesh Ambani's Mumbai Indians' Diwali bash in a masterfully crafted bandi from Shantanu and Nikhil, and boy oh boy, did he look good. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 The bandi is masterfully designed and crafted, using an embroidered fabric with floral motifs and design. The appeal of the bandi is further accentuated with the two sets of riveted leather strips that run horizontally across the front. © Viral Bhayani The cherry on top of the sartorial cake that this ensemble is the intricately designed chained brooch that Hardik is wearing as an accessory. © Instagram/hardikpandya93 Speaking of accessories, he is again seen wearing his Patek Phillipe Nautilus Chronograph, worth Rs 80 lakh to the party. The watch, coupled with the tinted sunglasses, completed the look. © Viral Bhayani Hardik's decision to pair the bandi with a fairly simple kurta shirt, brown linen trousers and a pair of tan monk straps was a wise one. When you already have a statement piece such as the bandi, you don't really need much else to make one cracker of an ensemble. © Viral Bhayani Plus, given the eccentric manner in which Hardik usually accessorises, in this instance his watch, his jewellery and sunglasses, anything else that could potentially draw attention, would have been a tad bit too much. © Viral Bhayani All we can really say is that we're actually kind of digging this outfit. Spot on, Hardik! A great ensemble indeed.
  17. Ranveer Singh's sartorial style speaks for his personality. The 'king of quirk' has left no stone unturned when it comes to acing silhouettes that are extraordinary. From wearing extra-long pants to making a statement in OTT sneakers, his fashion dictionary doesn't include the word basic in it. © Viral Bhayani Undoubtedly, he scores high every time and even the fashion police can't stop gazing at his off-beat style. But, imagine, if you ever saw Ranveer in a basic outfit, won't you be shocked? Yes, the maximalist of Bollywood turned the tables and stepped out in a basic outfit to cast a vote and we couldn't help but praise his effortless ensemble. Have a good look here: © Viral Bhayani © Viral Bhayani Ranveer nails gender-fluid outfits as well with full sass and tosses it out of the window too. But here, his fashion game is quite basic and it's so damn easy to cop. © Viral Bhayani This time, he turned heads wearing a relaxed polka dot shirt and distressed jeans. Since we know he doesn't limit his options, he didn't fail to hit the headlines with his accessory game. The beret cap with tiny sunglasses sure throws an impact. Plus, his boots? They definitely make him look effortless. © Viral Bhayani While Ranveer, on the one hand, is known for his wacky style, his wife, Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, makes a classy statement. The actor's recent look is totally inspired by hers and we love how he strikes the right balance with his outfit. We can't wait to see you in more such ensembles, Ranveer!
  18. Before we start, solve this riddle. What's the thing you first set your eyes on every morning and before calling it a night? It always remains within an arm's reach and blinks animatedly a number of times throughout the day. You can eat, shop and discover the unknown with its help, and for most humans, life depends on this complexly easy parallelogram that is reborn every time it dies. (Answer at the end of this article) © Twitter/Yogi Adityanath Now, while you rake your brains for an answer to that one, let us tell you that all the UPwallah students are in for some sorry days ahead, because the Yogi Adityanath government just announced a blanket ban on the use of mobile phones inside all the colleges and universities across Uttar Pradesh. Hours ago, the Directorate of Higher Education in Uttar Pradesh issued a circular to make the announcement which states that no student or teacher will be allowed to carry or use mobile phones inside college and university premises. © Facebook The reason being cited, for this move, by the UP Directorate of Higher Education, is that the decision has been taken to ensure "better teaching environment for students across all colleges and universities in the state." Apparently, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his ministers noticed a lot of teachers and students 'wasting time' on mobile phones, and thus, this move has been taken. If you remember, a few months ago Yogi Adityanath had also banned the use of phones during his official meetings, for similar reasons. © Facebook People, young and old are pissed at this new development and are voicing their reservations online. 20. After a long wait of years, the belated arrival of India's MeToo movement finally took its flight. It all started with Tanushree Dutta opening up on her ordeal in front of the world and without any hesitation, she said it was Nana Patekar who harassed her on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss'. Tanushree became the torchbearer of the movement. Post her big revelation, many women came out of their closets to share their horrifying and gut-wrenching tales. For those who have been waiting to know the verdict of Tanushree and Nana's case, let us tell you that it's in favour of the veteran actor. Yes, you heard it right. Nana has got a clean chit in this case and we wonder if this is how the cases against in the men in our country are dealt with. The Mumbai Police has told the local court that they would not be able to prosecute Nana Patekar in this case as there was no proof which held him behind the bars. So, Nana walks out as a free man with no one questioning the whole hypocrisy behind it. 21. Drake, who has churned out hit songs like 'In my feelings', is also a big fan of the NBA. When not producing songs, he's an active spectator at the NBA matches. He was last seen at the Golden State Warriors versus Toronto Raptors in Game Five of the NBA Finals, where the Golden State Warriors won. © Getty Images But here's why this match is so important: Drake wore an erotic timepiece that said, "I'd love to kiss your p***y.” © Getty Images To be precise, he wore a black Nike T-shirt and track pants with a $750,000 (which translates to 5,20,06,875 rupees, which is almost 5.2 crores) Richard Mille '69 Tourbillon Erotic' watch which has bars like a cinema box that you can twist to your fancy. The bar has settings with random sentences broken down so that you mix and match. The top bar can be changed to, “I want to,” “I need to,” “I long to,” “I lust to,” “I'd love to” and “Let me.” The middle bar adds in “explore,” “taste,” “kiss,” “arouse,” “devour” and “caress.” And the bottom bar gets into the specifics: “you tonight,” “your lips,” “your body,” “your n*****s,” “your p***y” and “you madly.” These are end number of sentences you could form on the dial to flatter your woman. © Richard Mille According to the brand website's description: "Activated on request by pressing a button at 10 o'clock, it plainly reveals the wearer's deepest desires.” Sounds like a horny watch which, although rather expensive, is making a statement, and we're just wondering if Kiki is impressed.
  22. No matter how fancy, lavish or elaborate your lunch plans are, they can never come close to that lucky person who will get a chance to grab a 'billion dollar' lunch with the 'Oracle Of Omaha' aka Warren Buffett. Imagine how surreal that experience will be, where you are sharing a table with none other than Warren Buffett, world's third-richest person whose net worth is $83.2 billion. Reuters Will the wine be more expensive than the one a restaurant served accidentally to a customer, or will the steak be covered with gold leaf sheets? Will they use gold crockery or table mats made from currency notes? I know it sounds bizarre, but I don't know what having lunch with a billionaire feels like. But, you can...only if you participate in the auction and win it. Warren Buffett's annual 'power lunch' event is back (now in its 20th year) and the bidding has reportedly begun for the same. Buffett is auctioning the lunch to raise money for the Glide Foundation, which aims to fight against poverty in San Francisco. Pexels According to reports, the winner (who can invite up to seven friends) will share the meal at New York's Smith & Wollensky steakhouse, which is said to be one of the most expensive places to eat. So far, Buffett has raised close to $30 million for Glide, but it doesn't look like he's going to stop anytime soon. But, it won't be easy to grab lunch with the world's third richest person. In 2012, an anonymous bidder raised close to $3.46 million, so to win your chance, you will have to top that amount. Reuters The bidding started on Sunday at $25,000 (Rs. 17.4 lakh approx.) and will end on Friday, May 31st. While we'll get to know about the lucky winner by Friday, we wonder whether it will be a buffet or à la carte.
  23. Ajay Devgn and Tabu have been thick of friends ever since they were in college. They share a great camaraderie and if you are lucky to see the two of them together, you would surely agree with our statement. They were recently promoting their new movie 'De De Pyaar De' and the two didn't leave a single chance to pull each other's leg. Recently, Ajay took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of himself with Tabu, and it was the caption that stole the spotlight. In the picture, you can see Ajay dozing off and Tabu looking at the piece of the paper that he has. We wonder why did Ajay doze off? Just like us, Ajay too is clueless about it and his caption made the picture look more hilarious than it already is. Ajay wrote, "Still haven't figured if the reason to fall asleep was the puzzle or Tabu." This throwback photo is from the sets of 'Vijaypath', which was Ajay Devgn and Tabu's first film together. We wonder how Tabu will react to this throwback photo and most importantly, the caption. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Tabu had said that if there is anyone she can count on, it's Ajay and that he is like a child and yet so protective. Further sharing that the atmosphere on the sets is stress-free when Ajay is around, Tabu added that they share a unique relationship and harbour unconditional affection for each other. Check out the Instagram post here: View this post on Instagram Still haven't figured if the reason to fall asleep was the puzzle or Tabu ð¤ A post shared by Ajay Devgn (@ajaydevgn) on May 21, 2019 at 4:40am PDT Talking about their recent release, 'De De Pyaar De', the movie is doing average business at the box office and has received a mixed response from the critics. But, the audience is loving the humour in the drama flick and the positive word of mouth is helping the movie mint money at the ticket windows. Also, Ajay and Tabu's crackling chemistry has been appreciated by movie buffs.
  24. 'Sacred Games' is one of those shows that's highly appreciated for its dark and gritty content. Fans went into the tizzy after they saw the first season and now, they are waiting with bated breath for the second season as well. Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte did a brilliant job in portraying their director's vision throughout the series. And for those who have seen the first season, they would now be looking forward to knowing the story of Ganesh Gaitonde and how Sartaj Singh decodes it all. With fans clamouring for the second season to air already, we tried to find some exclusive details regarding just that. According to one of our sources, the show will start streaming online from July end or the first week of August. Another source gave us more exclusive details about the show being delayed saying, "Netflix is going through it again and that's why the delay. It seems like the platform isn't happy with the final outcome. Rumours suggest that this season isn't that great as the first one. Well, only time will tell if the audience likes the show or not but we all have high hopes." The show has been shot in India and foreign locations including Cape Town. Anurag Kashyap has yet again taken charge for Nawazuddin's portions, and 'Masaan' director Neeraj Ghaywan has replaced Vikramaditya Motwane to direct Sartaj Singh's part. 25. Here's something funny to cure your midweek crisis situation. On the lightest side of humour, we have a sandwich place in Hong Kong called 'Sandwich Hub' that is written in the same way as 'Porn Hub' and has become quite an attraction for sandwich lovers in Hong Kong! © Reddit The tagline to the place reads: 'Sandwich that'll make you come' and I am not sure if it's a straight-up pun or they add a certain type of aphrodisiac to their legendary sandwiches, but whatever it is, this innovative way to sell food is surely gathering some eyeballs from everywhere. Reddit users were actually the ones who discovered it and put it up online and here's what they actually think! © Reddit The food joint serves some classic Indian dishes like Vada Pav, Dosa and Behl Puri as well. It's run by an Indian. Well, only an Indian will get such innovative business ideas I suppose! Well, I am not sure about you but Johhny Sins will surely have a great time here, in case he decides to visit! © Facebook So, in case you're in Hong Kong anytime soon, do give this place a shout. Maybe the pun is worth it, after all!
