  1. Time and again I have said this that no amount of words can ever be enough to express our gratitude to our soldiers for their bravery, fearlessness, courage and selflessness. They put their lives at risk, get fatally injured and despite going through it all, always keep a huge smile on their faces and courage and pride intact in their hearts. Wikimedia One such brave jawan is Major DP Singh, a Kargil War hero. Major Singh lost a leg during Operation Vijay, but his Twitter bio reads "Enjoying KargilWar wounds" with a wink. Recently, he shared an emotional post which left a lot of people emotional and in tears. One of them is Aamir Khan who got goosebumps after reading his post. Major Singh wrote that 'Sarfarosh' was the last film he saw 20 years ago, before losing a leg. He mentioned how he saw 'Sarfarosh' in theatres back then and now he saw it on TV. "That time on both legs. Now one less. My last movie as intact before I joined unit for #OpVijay in May 1999." Exactly 20 years ago I watched movie #Sarfarosh of @aamir_khan and same I did just now. But That time it was in theater. Now on TV. That time on both legs. Now one less. My last movie as intact before I joined unit for #OpVijay in May 1999.#memories pic.twitter.com/rBmWtnhRX5 — Major D P Singh (@MajDPSingh) May 28, 2019 After reading his post, Aamir replied to him saying, "your post gave me goosebumps. We salute your courage, strength and grit in the face of adversity. Love and respect to you, Sir." Dear @MajDPSingh, your post gave me goosebumps. Love and respect to you, Sir. a. https://t.co/TYL8qurl1v — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) May 29, 2019 Major Singh too replied to Aamir Khan's post and thanked him for his words. He wrote, "I am no great...it's a trait of every #indianarmy #soldier." My dear @aamir_khan It could become possible as I was trained by @adgpi ðð®ð³ð®ð³ I am no great.. it's a trait of every #indianarmy #Soldier Thank you for your kind words. ð Keep making inspirational films. God bless Jai hind https://t.co/2nA27nHpMT — Major D P Singh (@MajDPSingh) May 29, 2019 Major Singh, who is known as India's first Blade Runner, is hand downs one of the toughest men and we don't think we will ever see anyone braver than him.
  2. On February 14, when most people were celebrating the day of love i.e. Valentine's Day with their respective partners, some families were weeping and mourning the death of their loved ones, who were in the Central Reserve Police Force. The nation has not forgotten their death and never will, and in order to salute their courage and bravery our Bollywood actors recently took out time to pay tribute to the martyrs. AP In memory of the bravehearts, actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor recently paid a soulful tribute, called 'Tu Desh Mera'. The official Twitter account of CRPF posted their BTS pictures on social media and thanked them for their tribute. CRPF wrote, "Commendable work has been done by @SrBachchan, @aamir_khan and #RanbirKapoor for the tribute song #TuDeshMera dedicated to the Martyrs of Pulwama. We would like to thank you all for showing your support towards the Martyrs." Post that, things have worsened between India and Pakistan with reports of attacks coming almost every other day.
  3. When it comes to Aamir Khan, you can expect nothing but perfection. His performance, his looks, his delivery...it's always a pleasure to watch the superstar shine on our screens. What has he not done, really? From playing an alien to portraying a wrestler to charming us with his guy-next-door smile, Aamir Khan is the powerhouse of versatility and talent. Here are 5 times we couldn't take our eyes off Mr.Khan and his amazing transformations: 1. Dangal This is one of the most extreme body transformations any Bollywood actor has done for a movie. For 'Dangal', Aamir played the role of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat - his younger and older days, all at once. The actor had put on almost 25 kilos to portray older Phogat, and then went ahead and lost all of the extra weight, beefed up and aced the part as the younger Phogat. Now that's what we call dedication! 2. Thugs Of Hindostan If any actor in Bollywood can play goofy and eccentric, and still look great on screen is Aamir. For his recent action-adventure film, 'Thugs Of Hindostan', he plays Firangi Mallah, a quirky character with outlandish sense of fashion. Think loud, loose jackets, a top hat, round glasses, unkempt hair, thick moustache and stubble. 3. The PhonePe TVC Unless you're living under a rock, you must have already seen the terrific PhonePe video where Aamir is playing a grandfather, and his makeover is as real as it gets. Besides, the Daddu-Gublu duo on screen is adorable to the core! You have to watch it to believe me. Needless to say, the actor is now the official brand ambassador of PhonePe, a digital payments platform with 100 million customer-base and top-notch services. For instance, the brand is making an effort to educate customers on UPI, how safe and secure it is, and how simple PhonePe works. Additionally, there is also the Apps-in-App use, wherein customers do not need multiple mobile apps, and they can simply use PhonePe for cab bookings, food, travel, recharge data and DTH, and much more. You can also use the PhonePe app on all offline merchants as well. For more details, visit the website. What's more? PhonePe is also an official co-presenting sponsor for the television broadcast of VIVO IPL 2019. But wait, we aren't done yet. If you make a UPI transaction on PhonePe during this T20 season, you can get a chance to win a trip to watch Team India play in England this summer. How cool is that? 4. PK One of the blockbusters of 2014, 'PK' saw Aamir transform into a humanoid alien with a lean physique, flat hair, weird-meets-vexed expressions and popping ears. He's truly one perfectionist! 5. Ghajini 'Ghajini' came at a time when every Bollywood actor was trying to get either an eight or a six-pack abs. Aamir's transformation during that time made it to the headlines - eight-pack abs, well-defined chest muscles, crew cut, and of course, remember the tattoos?
  4. For those of you who don't know who Ira Khan is and why she is trending all over the internet on this fine day of March, prepare to be bombarded with a fully-loaded crash course on the young lady, packed with all the nitty-gritty related to her past, present and future. And yes, it has all the keywords such as Aamir Khan, Ira Khan, Reena Dutta and one mysterious man called Mishaal Kirpalani who has caught the Indian media's attention overnight. Yet, before we go ahead and claim we know what they are upto, we would like to ask @khan.ira, “BOYFRIEND???!!!”
  5. Back in 1994 when the Tom Hanks' classic 'Forrest Gump' hit the theatres, many of us were either too young or too naive to completely appreciate the movie for the marvel that it was. We went back to it years later, often a number of times over the years because it that good, and invigorating and inspiring! View this post on Instagram Happy Birthday @TomHanks! Treat yourself to a Dr. Pepper. A post shared by Forrest Gump (@forrestgumpfilm) on Jul 9, 2018 at 9:11am PDT Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump - the honest and kind to a fault man - took us for a ride that's bound to stick to every individual who has laid their eyes on this film even once. Cut to 2019, and Aamir Khan is all set to star in the Bollywood remake of this classic movie which is going to be called 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. Aamir made the announcement yesterday on the occasion of his 54th birthday and fans are elated! Not only will a turban-clad Aamir essay the titular role in the film, he will also be producing it alongside Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. It is a wonderful story about this character. It is a life-affirming story. It is a feel-good film. It is a film for the whole family." As per latest reports, 'Laal Singh Chaddha' will hit the theatres in 2020, and Aamir will be dropping close to 20 kgs for his character. The film will be directed by 'Secret Superstar' director Advait Chandan and shall be written by Atul Kulkarni. (c) Twitter Aamir told PTI, “We have started the prep work on the film. The shoot will start from October. I will be prepping for six months. I have to lose weight. I will be losing 20 kgs. I have to be lean and slim." We have too many good memories attached to the film, and given Aamir's previous record (let's cut him some slack for 'Thugs Of Hindostan' please), we are expecting some great things from Aamir Khan and 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.
  6. If you happen to have even an iota of interest in Bollywood and the hefty number of slightly maddening, but mostly entertaining and fulfilling movies it churns out year after year, and of course unless you have been living under a rock, chances are that you know about the Khans of Bollywood. Yet, for those of you who wish to pretend you are clueless about what I am saying, there are three dominant Khans in the Hindi film industry - Badshah Khan aka Shah Rukh Khan, Bhai Khan aka Salman Khan, and then there is Mr. Perfectionist aka Aamir Khan. View this post on Instagram Happy Birthday Shah! Health and happiness always! Love. a. @iamsrk A post shared by Aamir Khan (@_aamirkhan) on Nov 1, 2018 at 11:54pm PDT And since you are still here and eager to lend me your attention (I wanted to say eyes, since ears clearly don't agree with this medium, but that wasn't quite fitting in), I will also tell you a little bit about myself. I am pretty much like any other 26-year-old millennial with an opinion (about everything or nothing) you may have encountered in your life. The only difference is, I have a platform to voice that opinion and share it with all you valuable readers who spare the time and stop by to give a fu*k about what the likes of us have to say. All that said and done, let us move on to the very thing you have come here to discover. However, before you read ahead, let me put out a disclaimer and state that you may or may not agree with what I have to say, and also that by no means do I hope to suggest that this isn't something you may have already read/known before. But I want to put it out there, and so I will. Imli and me pic.twitter.com/1mMYsDKW5A — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) March 5, 2019 Now, many of you reading this may be SRK and Sallu Bhai fans, and sure both these actors have a lot going for them in terms of their personal histories in Bollywood and their professional careers, but this isn't about them. It is true that all three of them are actors of great calibre, but Aamir Khan is more than just his acting skills in front of the camera. Aamir Khan is a man of principles, “I am a very idealistic man. I believe that even people who are part of the problem can become part of the solution.” View this post on Instagram Always bringing joy and laughter into our lives, thank you Guruji for your love, warmth and wisdom. What a pleasure it was to spend time with you. ð Love. a. A post shared by Aamir Khan (@_aamirkhan) on Jan 23, 2019 at 2:25am PST He walks the talk and ensures that you pay heed to it. The first thing that comes to mind his 'Satyamev Jayate' and the kind of revolution in initiated on the small screen and amongst the masses. Aamir redefined the kind of content that we were consuming on TV, and opened up avenues and channels for action and discourses around burning issues. Aamir Khan epitomises change and evolution, “I do what I feel is right. I am not scared to walk on the new path and take risk.” Our third poster. Love. a. PS: Our second song comes out today at 6 pm. pic.twitter.com/rOQQEjmD7q — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) September 8, 2017 Aamir changed the face of modern Hindi cinema with the kind of films he created and became a part of. From 'Lagaan', 'Mangal Pandey', 'Rang De Basanti', 'Fanaa' to 'Taare Zameen Par', '3 Idiots', 'PK', and 'Dangal', he also presented the different sides of a narrative with films like 'Peepli Live', 'Dhobi Ghat' and 'Delhi Belly'. Aamir associates himself with films that are more than mere stories. His films are live representations of our immediate realities, which we may be too arrogant (or ignorant) to admit. Aamir will take that risk, and give us a new reality to explore and experience. View this post on Instagram Diwali pe milenge. Love, a #ThugsOfHindostan | @yrf | @tohthefilm | @amitabhbachchan | @katrinakaif | @fatimasanashaikh A post shared by Aamir Khan (@_aamirkhan) on Oct 19, 2018 at 12:08am PDT Aamir Khan does not let failures bring him down, “I have had unsuccessful films, but I learned a lot from those films. I give my failures as much importance as my success.” Sure, since I am talking about his greatest contributions to films, how can I miss the absolute debacle that was his last box office release, called 'Thugs of Hindostan'. The multi-starrer, big-budget film bombed at the box office and how. Now while there are quite a few reasons to that, the most obvious ones are poor script, unfamiliar genre and definitely below average direction. Yet, Aamir took it all in his stride, and was vocal about the film's shortcoming. He shouldered the film's failure along with the director, and stood with the TOH team through it all and took the hit. That makes him a winner for me! Maddy, my dearest Farhan, many happy returns of the day! Love. Rancho! pic.twitter.com/JxvWR2z5eG — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) June 1, 2016 There are a lot more reasons why I would always prefer him to the other Khans, but the ruling reason continues to be that he has his heart in the right place. He is fearless and unapologetic about what he does and how he does it. Aamir gets real, important shit done away from the camera and not just in front of it, and most importantly, because he gives a shit about things and walks the talk.
  7. If you look at evolution within Bollywood, in terms of good content, it has been slow yet progressive. Various celebrities have held on to the idea of evolving content and they've tried to deliver the same over the years. Somehow though, only a few have managed to stand out with their ubiquitous panache and acting prowess, while delivering some excellent quality content on-screen. One of the fewer actors who comes to mind when I pack these sentences together is Aamir Khan and at 54, he's made a huge mark on the entire cinematic experience in India. © Pinterest He started his journey in 1988, with a romantic drama 'Quamat Se Quamat Tak' and went on to do several others like 'Raja Hindustani', 'Akele Hum Akele Tum', 'Dil', 'Love, Love Love' etc. till he stumbled upon his impeccable comic timing in 'Andaaz Apna Apna', which is talked about while he's praised for it, till date. Over the years though, Aamir encapsulated his finesse as a good actor by doing some pertinent roles both in the 90s and the early 2000s. Films like 'Sarfarosh', 'Rangeela' and 'Ghulam' made him popular amongst young people, for donning relatable roles time and again. But because he's a visionary, he always looked far ahead and looked at how his passion for acting could also make a large-scale difference in society. © Pinterest Aamir takes story-telling as an art that can also change someone's life along with changing the trajectory of cinema in India. Through his stories on real-time issues that plague society, he connects with a larger audience who appreciate his work and acknowledge the sentiments behind it. Here are 8 Aamir Khan movies that have greatly impacted Indian cinema with a great story-telling landscape for the audience! (1) Lagaan (2001) © Sony Pictures Network 'Lagaan' marked the beginning of Aamir's 'films with a social cause'. The film was a historical epic sports drama set in the colonial British era, where a village bound by high taxes, found a way to evade them by beating the Britishers in a Cricket match. The film was nominated for an Oscar award as well. (2) Dil Chahta Hai (2001) © Excel Entertainment DCH was definitely the defining film for Indian cinema with its forward outlook and relatable characters. It promoted deep and meaningful friendships, love and travel all at once and the songs still ring a fresh bell, every time they're played. People still rave about how classy the film was and trust me, 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', another travel based film has nothing on it! (3) Rang De Basanti (2006) © UTV Motion Pictures The cult classic is one of Aamir's most talked about and liked film, and we couldn't help but mention this one. The film revolves around a bunch of young people who revolutionise the idea of Independence while trying to make correctives with the 'system' as outiders. Aamir's role as DJ is very pronounced because he doesn't stand-out as a superstar in the film but as someone who shares equal role responsibility with the rest of the cast. The film also promotes more action to change something than sitting at coffee shops talking and debating about 'change' and maybe that's why the public really enjoyed this one. (4) Taare Zameen Par (2007) © Aamir Khan Productions Talking about Aamir's films that have impacted social norms and given rise to content based on good causes, 'Taare Zameen Par' tops the list for sure. The film explores the life and imagination of 8-year-old Ishaan, who is dyslexic and tries to cope with life through his shortcomings, only to discover his talent elsewhere. The film made a huge impact for people suffering with the same condition and it became a beacon of hope for many. (5) 3 Idiots (2009) © Reliance BIG Pictures '3 Idiots' was based on a Chetan Bhagat novel by the same name and the film did remarkably well. Again leaning toward a social stigma, the film talked about flaws in the Indian education system and how parents and students both blindly fall prey to it. The film was funny in doses but the message was well received by the audience. (6) Dhobi Ghat (2011) © UTV Motion Pictures Aamir's first art and parallel cinema film, 'Dhobi Ghat' didn't do well with the audience but the critics absolutely loved the film. It was also long listed for the 65th BAFTA Awards. The film revolved around the lives of four individuals and how they intersected at some point in time in the movie. It was a beautiful directorial debut by Kiran Rao, Aamir's wife and Aamir produced the movie as well as acted in it. (7) PK (2014) © UTV Motion Pictures Aamir played an alien who comes down to Earth and falls prey to religious fanatics, self-proclaimed God men and blind faith. The film touched a sensitive nerve and became an important topic of discussion but it also showcased how most people blindly follow a religion, in order to believe in something. Aamir did get critical acclaim for the film as it was the first film that initiated debates about some stubborn religious views. (8) Dangal (2016) © Walt Disney Movies Motion pictures At the a time when most of Aamir's colleagues are still romancing actresses half their age on the big screen, Aamir took a rather challenging role and played the least glamorous role of a father to two girls, in his most talked about film Dangal. Aamir plays the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, an amateur wrestler, who goes against 'what people think and speak' and trains his two daughters Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat to become India's first world-class wrestlers. The film nailed it at the box office and everyone raved about it, as it was one of his finest films ever. The actor also had to work hard on his physique to build a wrestler's body and surely enough, his hard work paid off well. © Twitter Apart from creating a stern chance for philanthropic work on grave social issues in society, through his films, Aamir believes in his art so much that he never attends a single award function. His vision and ideologies go hand in hand with his dedication towards cinema and we're glad we have someone amidst us who understands the importance of some great cinematic experience. Here's wishing to see some more great work from one of the best actors we have in the industry today.
  8. The internet surprises you with new posts every day and one such post took me by surprise today wherein two legends from their respective fields posed together and mentioned about “game planning for something big”. View this post on Instagram Talking shop, game planning the next great @_aamirkhan Aamir Khan transformation! Great respect for this man's dedication to his craft. Jeff Cavaliere is a world famous Fitness YouTuber with over 7 Million Subscribers on YouTube and is easily the best fitness YouTuber for nearly a decade. Jeff isn't merely famous, he is extremely knowledgeable as well. He has been a Physical Therapist and Strength Coach for Base Ball Team-New York Mets and coached several top-level athletes including Tom Glavine and Pedro Martinez, and perennial all-stars Carlos Delgado, Carlos Beltran, David Wright, Jose Reyes, and Billy Wagner. He is well known for his injury rehab and brutal ab training videos. Aamir Khan has been committed to the iron game since the year 2007. His physique in the movie 'Ghajini' and his very recent body transformation for the movie 'Dangal' got worldwide attention, where he went from 30% body fat to under 10% body fat in merely six months. © YouTube In a recent post shared by Jeff Cavaliere, these two gentlemen posed together and Jeff wrote “Game planning the next great Aamir Khan transformation”. This got us extremely curious to check out for which character Aamir Khan is going under a body transformation. According to leads Aamir is working on two projects: 'Mogul' which is a biopic on T-Series' founder Gulshan Kumar and the epic, 'Mahabharata'. Gulshan Kumar had a chubby body which Aamir Khan currently is. Hence most likely Aamir Khan is training under Jeff to get leaner and muscular to play the role of Krishna in 'Mahabharata'. For this role, we speculate Aamir will be less jacked than he was in 'Dangal' and carry a leaner physique, perhaps similar to an MMA fighter. View this post on Instagram Very real advice from the great @_aamirkhan as he prepares to make another transformation. Remember, goals and aspirations without a clear path to reaching them...will likely never become reality! Full video and training coming tomorrow to my YouTube channel... #goals #aamirkhan #onestepatatime #transformation #staytuned #teamathlean #jeffcavaliere #athleanx A post shared by ATHLEAN-X™ | Jeff Cavaliere (@athleanx) on Feb 20, 2019 at 8:02pm PST This collaboration will definitely benefit Jeff Cavaliere's YouTube channel with a subscriber boost of millions. But it will also help the Indian fitness community as many Indian fitness enthusiasts will get exposure to Jeff's training videos and get to see what real fitness science is. And hopefully, leave the expectation of building 6-pack abs in 1 week or increasing height in 1 month. 10. Some of our most fond memories in life are related to our childhood, as those were the most carefree and fun-filled days of our lives. Sure, the adult “fun” is all good, but we all know how long-lasting that can be, so let's not go there and hurt our feelings any further. View this post on Instagram Lazy Sunday A post shared by Aamir Khan (@_aamirkhan) on Sep 1, 2018 at 9:30pm PDT However, apart from all the fun and games that we lived through back in the day, there are a few very intricate aspects of our childhood that we categorically miss - the most entertaining cartoon shows and the greatest comic binges we got to enjoy as children. Fine, some of us have not let THAT kid in us die yet. © Instagram But talking of comics, one of the most popular series we laid our hands on has to be 'Asterix'! One of the most engaging comic characters, we could never have enough of Asterix with Obelix by his side, and Dogmatix keeping up his antics besides a lot more. But imagine two of the most important people in your life coming together to bring your favourite characters to life, that would be so cool and fun, to say the least. Well, Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao did exactly that for their son's pre-birthday bash - the family dressed up like the characters from 'Asterix' and boy, did they nail it or what! © Instagram With Azad dressed up as Asterix, Aamir as Obelix and Kiran as Getafix, the family was more than perfect to look at - and managed to bring back so many happy memories from our childhood. © Instagram The images were shared on Instagram by Aamir Khan, and does the party seem lit and happening! We totally love our parents, and are more than grateful for everything they have done for us and blessed us with, yet, wouldn't it be cool to have your parents dress-up as your favourite comic characters and host a themed party? Guess we are too old for that, but one can always wish. No?
  11. With the release of 'Thugs of Hindostan' this morning, Aamir Khan's much-anticipated movie of the year has finally opened to the audience. When the film announcement was made two years ago in September 2016, people began to pin high hopes on this one, given that not only was the movie being launched under the YRF banner, but was also said to star two of Bollywood's most renowned names - Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. © Yash raj films Move to 2018, and the movie has already hit the screens this morning to a mixed bag of reactions. The audience hasn't been able to fully accept Aamir as the “bad guy” and Sr. Bachchan seems to be the only saving grace of the movie, as per latest online reviews. However, while the movie's fate still remains undecided, Aamir's thoughtful gesture towards the entire cast and crew of 'Thugs of Hindostan' is already being hailed as a major hit. Last evening, Aamir posted a letter addressing every member of TOH, and expressed his gratitude for their earnest efforts, that collectively helped them to put the movie out for the audience to enjoy. Look at the transcript here: What a touching letter by @aamir_khan as #ThugsOfHindostan releases today. The best part about Aamir is that he acknowledges each n every one in the team irrespective of their role.Thats the sign of a great leader...No shoshebaazi...pure simplicity! Wah! pic.twitter.com/SBTubVn4Zy — Faridoon Shahryar (@iFaridoon) November 8, 2018 As is already evident, Aamir made sure that no one from the entire production team was left out of this 'letter of gratitude' as we'd like to call it. Aamir took out the time to mention people by their names and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their time and efforts over the last two years. Sure, some might say this is another one of Aamir's 'quirky' film promotion ideas after the tie-up with Google maps, and yes it does seem like it to some extent too. However, one can't deny that to name people on a personal post and giving them credit for their work, holds a lot more value and sentimental connection than the credit roll at the end of film showcase (which honestly no one cares to sit through). © Yash raj films It's also great to see how the film promotions have changed over the years, and more celebs have taken to social media to promote films on a personal level. These tactics not only make a greater connection with the audience like in this case, but the publicity only adds to the overall experience of the movie too.
  12. Aamir Khan's annual mega release, 'Thugs of Hindostan' just hit the screens today and Twitterati has already gone into a frenzy penning their thoughts about the movie. The plot of the fantasy-drama is said to revolve around a band of thugs with Amitabh Bachchan as their leader, who decides to challenge the British Raj and claim freedom for India. The movie also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in supporting roles. With the first show lined up as early as 9 in the morning today, Tweet-scape is brimming with honest reviews from movie-goers. © Yash Raj Films As per the reviews so far, the much-anticipated film seems to be receiving a mixed bag of reactions, with many claiming that Aamir's acting in the movie as the bad guy comes across as forced, while the first half is also being claimed to be a bit too slow for people's liking. However, the virtual critics have some good things to say for Sr. Bachchan and the use of VFX in the movie. On the other hand, the director of the movie is receiving a LOT of backlash online. Here are some honest (and funny) Twitter reviews we picked up for you to read through before booking your own tickets for the movie: This is worst movie of the aamir khan till now. 13. 'Thugs of Hindostan' is just one week away but its promotion has been going on in full swing for quite some time. There was already hype about the movie from the beginning just because of the star cast, which will obviously happen when you put Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in a movie together, and then all the looks from the movie and the trailer just built up the excitement even more. 14. With the month of November finally rolling in, we take a step closer to all the Bollywood buzz that awaits us this season. From weddings to new releases, tinseltown is all set to call in the year end in high spirits! The jolly vibes seem to have already kicked in for frenemies and Bollywood archrivals, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan, and how. SRK's much anticipated release of the year 'Zero' is all set to hit the screens in the later half of December, and it seems that the makers recently held an exclusive trailer showcase for their industry friends before the official release on 2nd November. © Facebook As per latest updates, it appears that Aamir Khan had also been in attendance for the viewing. Starring two other Bollywood A-listers Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, under the direction of Anand L. Rai, the trailer seems to have impressed “perfectionist” Khan thoroughly. Aamir took to Twitter to share his experience with the rest of the world, and was all praise for King Khan. He went on to declare that SRK has “outdone” himself in this movie. Here's exactly how he said it: Guys, I just saw the trailer of Zero. Just one word... OUTSTANDING!!! Congratulations @aanandlrai ! #Katrina is fantastic! @AnushkaSharma is unbelievable! @iamsrk, you have outdone yourself! Can't wait to to watch the film! Love. a. — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) November 1, 2018 A little while later SRK shared a picture of their meeting on Twitter, with a real neat caption. Hug from the Thug....!! We aren't complaining about that for sure. For the uninitiated, 'Zero' is said to be a tale about celebrating life. SRK plays the role of a vertically challenged man, and the possibilities of what SRK can make out of this character has left his fans highly intrigued. Earlier this morning Shah Rukh also shared the official posters of the film on his personal Twitter handle. Take a look at them: Isn't she the most beautiful!!! 15. Karan Johar's fashion choices might be confusing to some, but they most certainly aren't boring. However, most people won't probably agree with fashion enthusiasts and would unabashedly bash them, just like Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, and the OG Sass-mother Kirron Kher. Ranveer started the fire, after he declared that the reason for his own weird fashion choices is KJo. On Koffee With Karan, he revealed that KJo buys 'outlandish' clothes, and when he thinks he can't pull them off, he sends them to Ranveer. © Hotstar After the episode was over, we saw the trailer for the next episode as well, with Aamir Khan and Malaika Arora. For a change, Malaika was the one hosting the rapid fire round, and Karan and Aamir were the contestants. © Hotstar One of the questions were: "If you have to give up shopping or gossip, which one would you give up?". KJo answered that he can't give up shopping, so he would give up gossip. Aamir portrayed his penchant for wisecracks with an extremely well-timed "Waise bhi teri shopping ki sense theek nahi hai, kyun karta hai shopping samajh mein nahi aati...". Take a look at the episode here. However, our favourites are the ones by Kirron Kher. From saying that his jacket looks like a 'Razaai' to ridiculing his torn jeans ("You should use it as a pochha or gatka in your house...!"), there was no holding back with her. Take a look. 16. It was high time that the #MeToo movement hit India and as we have learned recently, we can see how important it actually is. The time is literally up for all the sleazeballs, especially in Bollywood, and we've finally reached a point of no tolerance, which is incredible to see. No inappropriate behaviour will be excused now, nor will any kind of misconduct be brushed off and people will get what they deserve, whether it's justice or consequences for their actions, even if that action happened years ago. The best thing about so many powerful people getting exposed is now their behaviour – which they were getting away with a long time – is coming back to bite them in the ass, which is beautiful to see. No one wants to associate with such people who have been accused and it's a warning for everyone, that the time is really up for such people. Although @MumbaiFilmFest hs disassociated itslf frm directors&producer whose names have come out in #Metoo movement but I hope its chairperson #KiranRao remembers tht @aamir_khan her husband hmslf is working wth #subhashkapoor who's being prosecuted for sexual assault&molestation — Geetika Tyagi (@TyagiGeetika) October 9, 2018 Aamir Khan is obviously famous for being a perfectionist, so it's not a surprise that he believes in zero-tolerance for any kind of sexual misconduct. Recently, he walked out of a project after being informed of “sexual misconduct” on the part of a collaborator. In a statement, Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao explained his departure and how they are committed in making the industry a safe place. pic.twitter.com/NidpxviA95 — Aamir Khan (@aamir_khan) October 10, 2018 Taking a stand supporting the #MeToo movement, the statement said, “We believe that this is an opportunity for the film industry to introspect and take concrete steps towards change. For far too long, women have faced the brunt of sexual exploitation. It has to stop.” © Twitter The statement further read, “Two weeks ago, when traumatic #MeToo stories began emerging, it was brought to our attention that someone we were about to begin work with has been accused of sexual misconduct. Upon enquiry, we found that this particular case is sub-judice and that the legal process is in motion. So, without casting any aspersions on anyone involved in this case, and without coming to any conclusions about these specific allegations, we have decided to step away from this film. We do not want our action to reflect in any manner on the people involved in this case.” The person in question is Subhash Kapoor, who has been accused of molesting a woman, and the project being talked about is the Gulshan Kumar biopic 'Mogul', which is being directed by him. People obviously commended this step taken by Aamir Khan Productions because it's a crucial moment now for everyone to show their support for the #MeToo movement. So Aamir Khan Productions won't be producing Subhash Kapoor's Gulshan Kumar biopic. #MeToo https://t.co/IvbCx3WIwY — Rohit Khilnani (@rohitkhilnani) October 10, 2018 Thank you, indeed! 17. The much awaited and much-hyped trailer of this year's magnum opus, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' is finally out. Before we begin dissecting it further, let's just have a great aesthetic view of it first. First things first, Aamir Khan is easily the Johnny Depp of Bollywood, if one is allowed to do draw an innocuous comparison. The man is called a perfectionist for a reason. His role in TOH has some eerie similarities to Depp's characters from 'Pirates Of The Carribean' and 'Alice In Wonderland', and from the trailer, it looks like Aamir has nailed his performance in a way that only he could. © YRF Coming to Big B, words fall short for this mitochondria of Bollywood, who can slip into any role like changing his clothes. He can be seen pulling off some pretty kick-ass action moves in the trailer, and at his age, he is clearly giving the mainstream actors a run for their money. © YRF The movie also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif. For some reason, their appearances were kept short and crisp in the trailer, so we are guessing we'll have a better look once the next trailer is out. The movie is a YRF production, so nothing lacks in terms of cinematography and it is going to be a Diwali treat for every fan out there! 'Thugs Of Hindostan' will release in theatres on November 8th.

  19. Aamir Khan who is loved on-screen for his brilliant portrayal of characters recently turned into a real-life hero and saved the life of his 'Dangal' colleague. It was his well-timed help that saved the life of National Film Award-winning sound engineer Shajith Koyeri. © Twitter After Koyeri suffered from a severe attack, he was rushed to Bandra's Lilavati Hospital on Thursday morning, where they waited for hours to get doctor's assistance. As per reports, the family had no option left and they reached out to Aamir Khan for help. After receiving the call, the actor immediately rushed to the hospital around midnight. The family confirmed that no doctor has examined him since the MRI was done. Instantly, Aamir moved him to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri for the treatment. The 'Thugs of Hindostan' actor got in touch with Anil Ambani's family who owns Kolikaben hospital and got the needful done. By 3 am, Koyeri was transferred. © Twitter As per the family, Koyeri was taken for an MRI after he suffered from the stroke. Though he was rushed into the intensive care unit (ICU), there was no doctor who came to examine him even once. Koyeri, who won a National Award for 'Omkara', complained about uneasiness quite a few times, but no one from the hospital was there to help. As his condition was deteriorating, they reached out for Aamir's help. 20. Aamir Khan's unbelievable transformation for his movie 'Dangal' broke the internet- both Indian and international. That transformation is easily one of the most drastic ones Bollywood has ever seen. However, that incredible effort from Aamir didn't go well with a few experts. Despite the kind of determination that Aamir Khan is known for; he was accused of steroid usage for his transformation. Whether there were any unnatural substances used in the transformation or not, is for the coaches to comment upon. In this article, we will look at both sides of the coin without any bias. Aamir's Role Demanded The Transformation © YouTube In 'Dangal', Aamir portrayed the role of Indian Wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat who coached his daughter for the 2010 Common Wealth games. For this, Aamir had to enact the older 'father' and the young 'wrestler' in the same movie. This meant that he had to look old enough to look like a 50-year-old and young enough to look like an athlete in a span of a few months. Since he had to shoot for the 50-year-old first, he gained around 30 kilos for the role. His then weight was 96 kilos at 38% body fat. As soon as the role was completely shot, he went in for his transformation. Aamir then emerged as a completely different person, having lost a whopping 28 kilos and sitting at a shredded 9% body fat! This was really unbelievable, as he did this in just 5 months. Don't Forget That Aamir Has Undergone Transformations Before As Well © YouTube This was not the first time that Aamir had transformed himself for a movie. If you remember in 2009, he did a movie called 'Ghajini' where he sported a chiselled physique for the first time on the silver screen. Go back to the year 1998 when he did a movie called 'Ghulam', he was still in good shape if not absolutely chiselled. What started during 'Ghajini' went on with 'Dhoom 3' and 'PK' for almost a decade. In 'Dhoom 3' as well as 'PK', Aamir's physique was at its best. He had toned muscles with low body fat percentage. It was almost 6 to 7 years of shooting for these movies that Aamir was in top notch shape. Why It Looks Natural © YouTube First, I would like to discuss why Aamir Khan's body transformation looks absolutely natural. Like I discussed above, he trained himself rigorously for 'Ghajini' when he achieved a decent physique for the first time. And at that time, he admitted that it took almost a year of professional training and diet for him to achieve that feat, which sounds considerable. After that, apart from a couple of years, his physique has always been a talking point in every movie. He was constantly training and dieting for almost 6 to 7 years before he started shooting for 'Dangal'. With almost a decade of weight training and diet, Aamir already had decent muscle mass with good muscle maturity and muscle memory. Also, when he gained weight for 'Dangal', he did not stop weight training completely. He just went on huge calorie surpluses that lead to the weight gain. In fact, with excess calories and good weight training, his body gained good muscle mass along with that extra fat. Thus, in those 5 months of his transformation, all he had to do was get rid of that layer of fat on his muscles. Not to mention that muscle memory and muscle maturity played a crucial role here along with an unparalleled dedication that Aamir is known for. And for those experts who claim that he had those 3d 'delts' which are a sign of anabolic usage, well, if you look at Aamir's earlier transformation pictures, he always had good delts and traps since 'Ghajini'. They only got better with time. Also, physique looks comparatively huge on screen than what it actually is. The camera angles and other effects also add up to the total screen effect that you see. Why It Looks Unnatural So does this mean that Aamir did not take anabolic steroids? Well, like I said in the starting of this article itself, only Aamir or his trainer can comment on that. However, considering the time taken to achieve such a drastic transformation, it does raise an eyebrow for suspicion. You could say that since he is a celebrity and has crores of money riding on his name, he couldn't have left anything to chance. Also, since he is 50 plus now, why would he work so hard to do it naturally? Well, maybe that's Aamir Khan for you. While he is presently shooting for 'Thugs of Hindostan', there are also reports that the actor will soon be seen in the remake of an iconic Hollywood film. In fact, the deal apparently has been sealed and Aamir Khan has brought the rights to the Hindi remake of 'Forrest Gump'. Yes, we know the news is pretty exciting and watching Aamir in Tom Hanks' role would be a treat. © Paramount Pictures Well, playing a character that the legendary Tom Hanks has portrayed is certainly no walk in the park, but our Mr Perfectionist never disappoints. Talking to DNA, a source revealed, “Aamir wants to make Forrest Gump in Hindi, which he will star in. He wants to play the lead role that Tom Hanks had essayed in the original. It has been on his wishlist for some time.” The team has already started their work. "Scripting is currently underway. Aamir wants his team to rework the whole narrative, setting it in the Indian context,” the source added. For those who haven't watched this film, you are indeed missing out on a classic movie. The story revolves around various decades in the life of Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks). Hailing from Alabama, Grump is slow-witted but has a heart of gold. The man has witnessed several moments that defined the history of the United States in the 20th century. © Paramount Pictures The movie makes for a brilliant watch, which fills your heart with various emotions at once. With Aamir taking the charge, we are sure that it will be a great remake.
  22. There are so many stars in B-town whom we always wished to watch together on the big screen. Except for a small cameo in 'Mela', Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aamir Khan have never shared the screen space together. But we bet if they do, they would make a superb pair. (c) Twitter While we never got the chance to witness their chemistry in a feature film, we did come across a throwback video of them from a stage show, that is driving the internet crazy. The video shows Aamir and Aishwarya dancing on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's popular song Tujhe Dekha Toh from the iconic movie 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'. (c) Twitter Well, no doubt that no one can match SRK and Kajol's powerful equation, but these two indeed look adorable together. Turning into Raj and Simran, the star pair sure left everyone melting. What SRK and Kajol created is hard to recreate, but we must admit that Aamir and Aish look like a refreshing couple. Oh, how we wish they would sign up for a movie soon! #flashbackfriday #aishwaryarai #aamirkhan danced at the hit numbers of #srk For more bollywood updates follow #like and comment onððððððððððððððððð@bollywood_tittle_tattels #bollywood #bollywoodactor #bollywoodactress #insta #selfie #instapic #delhidiaries #indorediaries #mumbaidiaries #cute #instalove #bollywoodstyle #bollywoodmovie #instamood #movie #like4like #picture #instadaily #instagood #follow4follow #mumbai #indore #instagraphy #instafit #mumbaifoodie A post shared by Bollywood tittle-tattle (@bollywood_tittle_tattle) on Aug 3, 2018 at 2:25am PDT On the work front, Aamir Khan is busy working for his upcoming film 'Thugs of Hindostan', while Aishwarya's movie 'Fanney Khan' has just hit the screens and people are loving it. It has been eight years since they starred in Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan', and the real-life couple will now finally return to the reel-life.
  23. Actors are often blamed for charging a hefty fee for a movie. Some even blame that due to this, producers often make less profit or at times, end with up nothing. Khans in B-town often charge an exorbitant amount of some hundred crores and that is something which will never change. The bigger the star, the bigger is their fee. However, contrary to the ongoing canon, not many know that Aamir Khan has actually stopped charging a fee for his movies. Talking in a media interaction, Aamir revealed, “Actually I don't charge a fee. People don't know that, but it has been years since I have stopped charging a fee.” Wonder how he makes those big bucks then? © Twitter It all started when Shabana Azmi, who was sitting in the audience at the event, took the chance and asked him about stars demanding 80 per cent as their fee, and that how can one make a successful film with just 20 per cent left in hand. Quite a valid question we must say, got us thinking as well. To which Aamir explained, that his way of earning money is different. He doesn't charge a single penny until the makers have recovered all their costs of making of the film, including promotions to the producer's profit. © Twitter Revealing his model he said, if the film fails, he gets nothing and if it is successful, he has a higher profit share. The actor said he has always ensured that his producers earn money, as it helps secure his career and film choices. “I think the script is the foundation. I ensure that once I love the story and the film is in the making, people who are investing money should not face loss. I don't allow the producer to shoulder the responsibility alone. My first rupee comes to me when the film's cost is recovered in every aspect, after the producer's and everybody else's money is recovered. That's the model I work with, and I take a higher cut in the percentage because I am risking my time on that, and I think producers are happy with that too,” he added. © Twitter He firmly believes that this is the best model that works for his movie. Explaining further he said, “If a producer is not losing money, it is but obvious that he will sign me for the next film. That is why I always ensure that if I am signed in a film, there is no loss." The first time Aamir tried this model was in 2001 during the making of 'Lagaan'. “Since that film was one of the expensive films of that time, and was breaking a lot of rules of mainstream Indian cinema, that is why I felt the importance of taking the responsibility. When I come on board, producers and financiers do not question me on the subject I chose for a film because they trust me, they have faith in me. That is why I want to ensure the profit." © Twitter Now, that's not just an interesting but a very smart business model as well. Clearly, he is called 'Mr. Perfectionist' for a reason. He makes sure that making money is a win-win situation for both the actor, the maker and other people involved in the movie making. Sounds fair. On the work front, Aamir is busy with the work of his upcoming film 'Thugs of Hindostan'. The film, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh and is scheduled to release on Diwali 2018.
  24. Aamir Khan wowed the audience when he took up the role of ACP Rathod in 'Sarfarosh'. From the script to the stellar acting and even the songs of this superbly done movie were a major hit. Aamir won hearts as the emotionally vulnerable IPS officer. While it has taken over two decades of wait for all the fans, it seems like a sequel to 'Sarfarosh' is finally happening! However, as per the recent reports in Mid Day, John Abraham might be seen as ACP Rathod and not Aamir Khan. © Instagram Apparently the director John Matthew Matthan has approached John for the role and the sequel will now focus on the whole Naxal movement in the country. "Abraham and Matthan are in advance talks for the film. The sequel will revolve around the Naxal movement and red corridor in India. The first instalment touched upon this topic in passing. There is a possibility that it will take off from there”. The director hasn't confirmed or denied the reports as it is still in the scripting stage at the moment. Whatever the story might be, we can't wait for the movie to roll out soon. John Abraham is currently in a very good stage of his career and has been getting rave reviews for his recent acting in 'Parmanu'.
