  1. Microsoft finally announced more details about the new Xbox currently codenamed as "Project Scarlett" at its E3 briefing last night. The new console has quite a few tricks up its sleeve; however, we were told more about is technical specifications. © Microsoft The new console is expected to be 4 times more powerful than the Xbox One X and is powered by an AMD chipset. Microsoft claims that the new console will be able to push up to 120 frames per second and will also come with an SSD to reduce load times in games. Current consoles run mechanical drives that are significantly slower than SSDs. The solid state drive will also function as virtual memory to improve load times. "A console should be built and optimised for one thing and one thing only: Gaming," Xbox head Phil Spencer said during the briefing. © Microsoft The company also revealed that the next instalment in the Halo franchise i.e. Halo Infinite will be a launch title for the upcoming console. Microsoft did not reveal the official launch date of the console but did detail that it will be coming to stores in Holiday 2020. Xbox Scarlett will have a custom Zen 2 processor from AMD, GDDR6 RAM, and capable of 8K visuals. The new console is expected to support accessories such as the Xbox One controller and games in the next generation of consoles. © Microsoft During the pre-show of the briefing, the company did hint about the new console with coded messages. One of the videos showed the code R255 while the other video showed “G 36” and “ B O.” When the codes are put together it basically reads RGB (255, 36, 0) which also happens to be the colour code for Scarlett. Are you excited about the new console by Microsoft? What features would you like to see in the upcoming console? Let us know in the comments.
  2. 'Avengers: Endgame' was honestly the most-anticipated movie of all time, especially since the cliff-hanger ending of 'Avengers: Infinity War'. For the entire year between the two movies, fans were just predicting, coming up with theories about what could happen and a lot of them actually turned out to be true. (I just wanted the Ant-Man going up Thanos' butt one to be real, but whatever.) So, it's not surprising that ever since April 26th, the biggest MCU movie has been breaking all records left, right, and centre. From quickly climbing up in the list of the highest-earning movies, to becoming the highest opening movie in India, 'Endgame' has broken records all over the globe. The movie completed one month yesterday, so here's looking back at all the great records it has already made and made Marvel Studios over $2.5 billion richer: 1. Biggest Global Opening Weekend With a $1.2 billion worldwide box office opening, 'Endgame' beat the record previously held by 'Infinity War'. 2. Highest Grossing Opening Day In India Beating out all the Hindi movies, 'Endgame' earned over Rs 53 crore on the first day itself and set a record. I think we all can vouch for this one just because of how much of a struggle it was to get first day tickets. 3. Highest Grossing Hollywood Movie In India Again, no surprises here. The movie has earned over Rs 350 crore till now. 4. Fastest Movie To Hit 1.2 Billion USD It took five days, just five days, for the movie to reach one freaking billion dollars. I can't even imagine how much money that actually is. 5. Fastest To Reach All The Main Check Points An extension of the previous point, it's also the quickest movie to reach all the checkpoints - $500 million, $1 billion, $1.5 billion, $2 billion, and $2.5 billion. It took 'Avatar' 72 days to reach $2.5 billion, 'Endgame' did it in 20 days. 6. Second Highest Grossing Movie Of All Time Yes, it hasn't quite beaten 'Avatar' yet, but it still did manage to do so with all the other movies on the list to take up the second spot for now. We all know 'Endgame' is coming for 'Avatar' soon.
  3. It has been a harrowing week for Chinese company Huawei since it was included in the entity list by the US Government. This basically means that American companies cannot do business with the Chinese tech giant without prior approval from the Government. In the wake of this decision, companies like Qualcomm, Intel, ARM, Google have all revoked access for licenses and acquiring of components. Huawei is the world's second largest smartphone company in the world and with losing access from American companies for key components and licenses, it is essentially a death sentence for the company. Here's a list of companies that won't be doing any business with Huawei at least until things are resolved: ARM © ARM ARM is by far the biggest blow to the Chinese company as the company severed ties as of yesterday. Huawei can build its own operating system and acquire other components from non-American companies; however, without a license from ARM, Huawei cannot manufacture their own chipsets. ARM basically design the chips and then license them out to companies for manufacturing. Their designs are used on Laptops, Smartphones, IoT products and wearables. These designs are used by companies like Qualcomm, Apple, Samsung and previously Huawei. HiSilicon, Huawei's SoC subsidiary has been using ARM-based chipsets for a while and losing access to the license essentially means that Huawei cannot make processors. Since the company has also lost access to Qualcomm, Huawei will not be able to deliver a smartphone. Having said that, there are other alternatives such as sourcing chipsets from non-American companies such as MediaTek and Samsung. Qualcomm and Intel © BCCL Qualcomm and Intel both provide components to Huawei that essentially powered various products such as laptops and mobile phones. Intel provides server chips and processor for Huawei's laptop line which essentially renders future Huawei laptops useless. Qualcomm, on the other hand, provides modems and other processors that power other products. Since Huawei makes its own chipsets, Qualcomm's impact was less prominent yet still crucial. Even though Huawei has been stockpiling chipsets for future use, sooner or later the company will run out unless the conflict is resolved by then. Broadcom and Xilinx have also announced they are suspending sales of products to Huawei as well. Western Digital and Micron Technology Like any other smartphone, it needs memory to store data and Huawei smartphones used Western Digital and Micron Technology as their suppliers. Micron Technology makes memory chips that are used in smartphones. As of now, the company has also revoked access to the Chinese company. Huawei will not be able to source storage chips from American companies as of now; however, it can source similar components from Samsung. Android © MensXP_Akshay Bhalla Google has also revoked Huawei's Android license as a move to be compliant with the US Government's ban. The company will be able to provide updates for current Huawei smartphones for the next three months but it doesn't help the situation. Huawei is already working on its own operating system based on Google's AOSP (Android Open Source Project), platform. How it will work depends on the final build and whether it will be rolled out globally. Huawei has said that the new operating system will be compatible with Android apps and is scheduled for release later this fall. SD Association © SD Association The latest organisation to boot Huawei is the SD association which means Huawei is no longer allowed to make any products with SD or microSD slots. This will affect Huawei's smartphone and laptop lines as the SD Association develops and authorises the use of standards for SD storage. The list on the organisation's website silently removed Huawei's name from the list. Suspensions of Orders Vodafone, the world's largest mobile operator has suspended the sale of Huawei's Mate 20X (5G) on its website for the time. The smartphone was listed on Vodafone's UK website and the suspension could possibly extend to other regions as well. Even the Microsoft store pulled Huawei's MateBook X Pro's listing from its website. In fact, a basic search for any Huawei product on Microsoft's digital store comes up with no results.
  4. Huawei's budget sub-brand Honor has been launching some amazing phones lately. Honor's phones usually go easy on your pockets, but offer great value for money. On the same lines, the company has now launched three new phones under the new 'Honor 20 Series'. Let's check them out: Honor 20 & Honor 20 Pro Both the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro are more or less the same phones. They both look stunning and offer some really powerful internal specs. You're looking at a 6.26-inch IPS hole-punch display just like the Honor View 20. It comes with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 on both devices. They both have the same screen-to-body ratio i.e. about 91.6 per cent, and they simply look stunning from the front. © Twitter In terms of the specs, the Honor 20 and the Honor 20 Pro are powered by Huawei's flagship Kirin 980 chipset with oodles of RAM and storage to go along with it. While the Honor 20 tops out at 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, the Pro variant has 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. Besides the RAM and storage, both the devices also have a slightly different camera setup. Both devices have a 48MP f/1.4 main camera, a 16MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera, a 2MP f/2.4 macro and a 32MP f/2.0 selfie camera with a punch hole on the front. The only difference is that the Honor 20 Pro comes with an additional 8MP f/2.4 telephoto camera, whereas the Honor 20 comes with a 2MP depth sensor. With 30x digital zoom and a large 1/2-inch Sony sensor, the telephoto camera's Handheld Moon Shot allows you to capture the moon's beauty with no extra equipment. #HONOR20Series #CaptureWonder pic.twitter.com/Dd60ZWnRgO — HONOR (@Honorglobal) May 21, 2019 The Pro variant of the phone also has a slightly bigger battery with 4,000 mAh capacity, while the regular variant has a 3,750 mAh battery. Rest of the stuff is the same. You get a side mounted fingerprint scanner, fast-charging support, etc. The Honor 20 Pro will be available in Phantom Black and Phantom Blue colour variants, whereas the regular variant comes in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue shades. Honor 20 Lite © Twitter Next up, we have the Honor 20 Lite, which is more of a budget option for people who are not looking to splurge a lot of cash. The first and the most obvious difference here is the waterdrop notch on the front, instead of a punch hole display. It's a 6.21-inch FHD+ screen with a 32MP selfie shooter tucked inside. The Honor 20 Lite also packs a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 24MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree FOV, and a third depth sensor. In terms of the specs, the Honor 20 Lite is powered by the Kirin 710 chipset, coupled with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It's got a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and the phone will be available in Phantom Blue, Phantom Red, and the classic Midnight Black shades. Pricing & Availability The Honor 20 has been priced at 499 Euros for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, whereas the Honor 20 Pro with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage will cost you 599 Euros. The Honor 20 Lite, which is a budget option, will set you back 299 euros.
  5. Huawei was cut access to do business with American companies like Google, Qualcomm, Intel and other companies that collaborate with the Chinese company. The ban comes as a part of U.S. President's executive order amidst trade battles between the two countries. Having said that, according to Huawei, the company already has contingency plans in place to deal with the ban and the company's founder Ren Zhengfei has downplayed the impact it will have on the Chinese company. Supporting #Huawei does not necessarily mean you should buy a #Huawei smartphone. My family members use #Apple for a very long long time: Ren Zhengfei, founder of China's Huawei Technologies (Photo: Chen Qingqing/GT) pic.twitter.com/5rcrHJx3KR — Global Times (@globaltimesnews) May 21, 2019 Speaking to Chinese newspaper, the Global Times, Ren said that “In such a critical moment, I'm grateful to US companies, as they've contributed a lot to Huawei's development and showed their conscientiousness on the matter,” Ren says. “As far as I know, US companies have been making efforts to persuade the US government to let them cooperate with Huawei ... We always need US-developed chipsets, and we can't exclude American products with a narrow mind.” © Reuters On Saturday, Huawei tweeted “Lose-lose, Washington's decision to force U.S. companies to stop doing business with tech giant Huawei creates losers on both sides.” Ren also went on to say that trade restriction would not affect Huawei's 5G rollout and in fact, it would be detrimental for the US as other companies would not be able to catch up with Huawei's technology. "The current practice of US politicians underestimates our strength," Ren Zhengfei said, according to the transcripts from the interview. It seems like Huawei will remain unaffected for the time being even though the ban has been lifted temporarily for three months. The US Commerce Department temporarily lifted the ban on American businesses collaborating with Huawei so that software updates can continue on Huawei phones. The three-month lifting of the ban should give Huawei time to at least fight the ban and put forward its case to be removed from the Entity List. The US government currently deems the brand to be a threat to national security due to the government's claim of spying and stealing valuable information from American companies. Google blocked Huawei's access to its Android license on Sunday in compliance with President Trump's Executive order. Other companies like Qualcomm and Intel have also temporarily stopped business with the Chinese company until the ban has been lifted. The loss to Google's Android License means that future Huawei phones will not be able to sell devices running Google's proprietary services such as the Play Store, Youtube and other Google apps. However, Huawei says that the company has already built an alternative OS and is stockpiling hardware to tackle the current issue at hand. Source: Global Times
  6. About two months ago, there were rumours floating about that Rami Malek might be the new Bond villain and well, it's finally confirmed! Can you imagine, a guy, who was once in a 'Twilight' movie is now not just an Oscar winner but also the new Bond villain? Yeah, me neither. I feel like no one really remembered Rami Malek playing a vampire in the last 'Twilight' movie, and it's safe to say he's come a long, long way since then. The announcement came during a press event which included a handful of the cast, including James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, along with director Cary Fukunaga where they teased the new movie. Even though Rami himself wasn't present, he did make sure to send a video message, confirming he'll be the new 'Bond 25' villain. A word about #BOND25 from Rami Malek pic.twitter.com/CLJ5mpO9mu — James Bond (@007) April 25, 2019 Already giving out a warning to 007, he said, “I promise you all, I will be making sure Mr Bond does not have an easy ride in this, his twenty-fifth outing.” Honestly, I can totally see him as an evil and menacing villain, he really fits the role perfectly. Well, the reason he wasn't in Jamaica with Bond himself was that he appeared on Good Morning America and obviously, he talked about his new villainous ways. He, of course, praised Daniel Craig and said, “It'll be very interesting to go up against that man.” .@ItsRamiMalek on being the villain in the next @007 movie: "It's thrilling...they're timeless movies." #Bond25 pic.twitter.com/p4Rcx54E3t — Good Morning America (@GMA) April 25, 2019 Well, he can't really say anything more as of now, but he had a warning yet again - “I'm gonna give him a run for his money.” Considering this is Daniel Craig's last stint as Bond, it'll surely be a memorable one and him going against Rami just makes it even more interesting.
  7. 'Avengers: Endgame' has now sold 2.5 million advance tickets before the final chapter in the Marvel Studios' Super Hero franchise Avengers hits the theatres tomorrow. According to BookMyShow: “This marks the highest ever advance ticket sale for a Hollywood film on the platform. 'Avengers: Endgame' is also the fastest film to have surpassed the 2 million advance ticket sales mark on BookMyShow.” Seems like nothing is going to slow down the ticket sales of the highest anticipated movies of this year. Even though the movie was leaked in full yesterday, it is not deterring fans from watching the movie in a proper theatre. Indians already broke the record earlier this week by pre-booking tickets for 'Avengers: Endgame'. In fact, over 1 million tickets were sold in 24 hours. © Marvel Studios Speaking about the audience reception, Ashish Saksena, COO - Cinemas, BookMyShow, said, “With just a few hours left for 'Avengers: Endgame' to hit the screens, the frenzy around the film is unprecedented. The cinemas are doing everything possible to match fans' demand for the film, including round-the-clock screenings as also opening up advance bookings for the entire week ahead. This has enabled BookMyShow to offer several more options to Marvel-lovers and cater to their excitement. As the craze around the film continues to intensify, we expect a mighty opening on Friday and a record-breaking first week.” © Marvel Studios It would be interesting to see how many more tickets will be booked once the movie has been released and more shows get added. It seems like ticket sales for Endgame won't slow down anytime soon. In fact, you're one of the people who doesn't have a ticket and want to avoid spoilers, you can follow our how-to guide here. For the first time ever in India, 'Avengers: Endgame' will be screened 24X7 in select theatres across India.
  8. Samsung announced one of the most iconic smartphones in the company history back in February and was the first to show off a foldable smartphone. The company has managed to produce the smartphone at a scale and is now ready to be sold in various regions, Huawei showed off their version of a foldable smartphone as well that also touted a unique and exciting design. Samsung has already started to send out review devices to journalists and there have been numerous reports about the $2000 dollar smartphone breaking after a single day of use. The Galaxy Fold has been suffering a broken screen sometimes due to user error or due to low durability. The first report comes from Dieter Bohn at The Verge where he had a piece of debris under the Galaxy Fold display. It was pressing up against the back of the display and caused a bump in the OLED panel. The debris managed to press against the display enough to break it and killed some vertical and horizontal rows of pixels. © Twitter/Steve Kovach For Steve Kovach of CNBC, the device's display broke right along the fold crease and the pixels in the folding area were dead. This kind of confirmed that the crease in the middle may cause an issue as the display broke right along the crease. © Twitter The Galaxy Fold also comes with a layer on the display that resembles some sort of protective glass. The layer is not supposed to be removed; however, some of the reviewers were not known of the case. Mark Gurman from Bloomberg removed the layer of the display file saying, The phone comes with this protective layer/film. Samsung says you are not supposed to remove it. I removed it, not knowing you're not supposed to (consumers won't know either). It appeared removable in the left corner, so I took it off. I believe this contributed to the problem." The removal of the film totally killed the smartphone as the left half of the display died. © Twitter/MKBD YouTuber Marques Brownlee also peeled off the protective layer and said "the display spazzed and blacked out. Started over with a replacement.” After one day of use... pic.twitter.com/VjDlJI45C9 — Steve Kovach (@stevekovach) April 17, 2019 Folding smartphones is a brand new concept for smartphones and it is bound to see some hiccups before becoming mainstream. Samsung is the only company right now that has managed to make foldable smartphones real then masses. The Galaxy Fold is definitely for first-generation early adopters as we will see some improvements in design in the near future. As of now, Galaxy Fold is already sold out when it comes to pre-orders and has "overwhelming demand”.
  9. A few days ago, technically one day before Vivek Oberoi's movie 'PM Narendra Modi' was going to release, the Election Commission put a ban on the film until the Lok Sabha elections are over. According to the order issued by the EC, "any Biopic material in nature of biography sub serving the purpose of any political entity or any individual entity connected to it, which has the potential to disturb level-playing field during the election, should not be displayed in Electronic media including cinematograph during the operation of Model Code of Conduct." © Instagram Fast forward to the present time and the trailer of the film, which is an "inspiring saga of a man, a politician, a leader and a visionary", has gone missing from YouTube. The movie was already drowning in a pool of controversy thanks to the ban and memes, and now the disappearance of the trailer took away the last straw from the makers of the film. 10. An insane video of Tiger Shroff just showing off and doing stunts is out, and yeah, it's also the trailer for 'Student Of The Year 2' but everyone's just focusing on the stunts because that's the only thing in the trailer, tbh. I'm not going to lie, the trailer is a lil cheesy and cringey, and I'm not even going to touch the fact that there is literally no school student who looks like that and there is no school actually like that. But, my opinions on the trailer aside, the true success or failure of a trailer depends on the memes on it, and in that sense, SOTY2 is a winner! There was so much meme material in the trailer that people immediately started showing off their creativity and came up with some 'Memes of The Year'. Someone got even Modi Ji involved. 11. Artificial Intelligence, as we all know, is slowly changing all of our lives as we know it. They're slowly taking over our jobs, have started driving our cars, and who knows what else. And guess what? A group of researchers just decided to let an AI program decide who will survive to rule the seven kingdoms in the 'Game Of Thrones' finale. The AI program in question here is the same one which predicted Jon Snow would live and Tommen Baratheon would die. And now, as we all are preparing for the final season to premiere in a couple of days, the AI is back at it again. © HBO This particular AI program, in case you are wondering, was created by the students of the Technical University of Munich. The algorithm has analyzed the data of over 2,000 characters with the help of information obtained from 'Game of Thrones' Wiki and The Wiki of Fire and Ice. A particular character's house, gender, marriage history, and things like character significance are among the deciding factors. “When you play the game of thrones you win… OR YOU DIE”. So, whoever manages to survive until the end gets to sit on the iron throne. According to the AI, Daenerys Targaryen has the highest chance of surviving till the end and sit on the iron throne. Tyrion Lannister is next in line with a promising 97-per cent survival rate. Varys, Samwell Tarly and Jaimie Lannister are some other characters who are most likely to survive. The great war was here. #GameofThrones pic.twitter.com/hWSeyHVIPe — Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) April 2, 2019 Now, coming to the characters which the AI thinks will die, Bronn is high up on the list with 93-per cent likelihood of dying. Bronn is followed by Gregor Clegane (The Mountain), Sansa Stark, Bran Stark and Sandor Clegane (The Hound). Anyway, we all have our own predictions, and we'll get all the answers when the games will begin again, for the last time, this Sunday.
  12. Powerbeats Pros is now official and was announced recently by Apple and will be the company's other true wireless earbuds. The new earbuds are said to have a better fit and sound quality when compared to the AirPods. The earbuds will be available this May; however, the new earbuds have already been spotted in the wild. © Twitter/Complex Lebron James was spotted sporting the new Powerbeats Pro at an event in Los Angeles. The picture was taken by Adam Pantozzi, a photographer based in Los Angeles. Apple has been known for giving out some of their products to athletes for better visibility. The Cupertino giant followed a similar strategy during the FIFA World Cup as many athletes were pictured sporting AirPods and Beats headphones. What's cool is that the company won the brand wars during the world cup without ever shelling out a single penny. You can read all about how Apple won the brand wars during the World Cup here. We can already see Apple following a similar strategy with the Powerbeats Pro as the wireless earbuds are targeted towards athletes and fitness enthusiasts. If you want to know more about Powerbeats Pro you can read all about it here. © Apple The Powerbeats Pro is expected to last longer than before and comes with Apple's new H1 chip that can also be found on the new AirPods. The H1 Chip enables the new AirPods to fire up Siri by simply saying the command “Hey Siri”. The better fitting design is also supposed to reduce sound leakage which has been a known issue with AirPods. The Powebeats Pro is expected to last for up to nine hours or up to 24 hours of playback time with the charging case. The charging case also has a fast-charging feature that can give the earbuds an additional 1.5 hours of usage after five minutes of charge.
  13. Legendary former adult film star, Mia Khalifa, is now officially engaged to Swedish chef Robert Sandberg and we can already hear people screaming 'NO' across the world. Mia and her boyfriend shared the exciting news on their social media, and since then, people have flooded the internet with mixed reactions (and we can totally imagine why). 14. You can finally play your PlayStation 4 (PS4) games on your iPad or your iPhone via Sony's Remote Play App. The application was already available on Android, considering it was first launched on the Xperia Z3 way back in October 2013. It has taken Sony 4.5 years to get the same feature for iOS devices. © SONY In order to use this feature, you will need to update your PS4, download the RemotePlay app on your iOS device and pair the two. The controller layout is overlaid on the screen and if you want to play on your iOS device, it will work best when paired with a third party controller. You cannot pair the PS4 controller with an iPhone or an iPad unless your device is jailbroken. iOS is a huge platform and bringing the functionally will be a massive expansion for streaming games. There are plenty of MFi gamepads you can use in order to play PlayStation games on your iPad. You can use the SteelSeries Nimbus as a gamepad and map the controls exactly like on the PlayStation 4 controller. © Sony Having said that, you will not be able to play PS4 games remotely such as via a mobile network. You will need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi in order for the function to work. You will also need an iPhone 7 or sixth-generation iPad or later to make the application work with your PS4. The new update has been rolled out for the PS4 and in the 6.5 version of the update, users can also remap the 'X' and 'O' buttons on the controller. Japanese consoles have to use the 'O' button for the “Enter” command, however, you can now remap it to 'X' or the other way around.
  15. 'Apex Legends' has been on the news ever since its surprise launch in February. Thanks to its explosive launch, it took 'Apex Legends' just eight hours to attract 1 million unique players, and just 24 hours to reach 2.5 million players. And now, in just a week, that number hit 25 million, and now the game's developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that Apex Legends' player count total has crossed 50 million players. © Apex Legends - Electronic Arts A 50 million player count is just insane, considering the fact that the game was launched not too long ago. In fact, 'Apex Legends' was launched just four weeks ago, and it's growing at a much quicker pace than, say, 'Fortnite Battle Royale'. To put things into perspective, it took 'Fortnite Battle Royale' several months to hit the 45 million mark. Of course, 'Fortnite Battle Royale' was one of the pioneers of the Battle Royale genre, so it's not fair to compare something like Apex Legends, which in comparison, had enough time to polish the game and get almost everything right. However, there's no denying that 'Apex Legends' is onto something here, and the numbers are only going to grow from here. © Apex Legends-Respawn Entertainment That being said, let's not forget that 'Fortnite' is still one of the most successful Battle Royale titles of all time. Epic games just launched the 8th season, complete with new maps locations, skins and more. It's hard not to acknowledge the fact that millions of players are still enjoying 'Fortnite', and it remains to be seen if 'Apex Legends' will manage to amass the same level of popularity.

  19. Samsung's next launch event is right around the corner and the Korean company may have just made the event a bit more exciting. Samsung is scheduled to announce the Galaxy S10 and its different models. However, a foldable smartphone may also be unveiled. In one of the videos promoting the Unpacked 2019 event, Samsung teased a foldable smartphone that may launch alongside the Galaxy S10. © LetsGoDigital Based on these teasers, renders of the Galaxy F or Galaxy Fold may look like have surfaced online. Samsung did give us a glimpse last November of the foldable smartphone; however, it was encased in a thick dummy case. Samsung promises that the final version of the phone will be a lot thinner. However, it did not stop LetsGoDigital from making renders based on the promo video and past leaks. The bezels are thin around the edges and it looks rather sexy as compared to what Samsung showed off last year. © LetsGoDigital The overall form factor in the render is a lot wider which gives it a uniform look you would expect from a tablet. It looks less square which means it will also be a wider screen when folded. The smartphone will use Samsung's new One UI which will have easier functionality for one-handed use. However, this is all based on Samsung's promo video and if Samsung sticks to what it showed, the final device will look very similar to these renders. Having said that, you must take this news with a pinch of salt as you never know whether Samsung will show off a foldable smartphone in its full glory or not at the Unpacked event later this month. 20. If you've enjoyed the Netflix original Indian series 'Scared Games', then I am sure you'd be happy to know that the pop-culture induced show will be back again for season 2. The show will definitely be packaged brand new, while the crew has decided to shoot in foreign shores for the second instalment. © Netflix The show will be concluded in Africa and we hear co-star Saif Ali Khan just finished shooting in Mumbai, while Nawazuddin had a long shoot schedule in Africa. We're hearing all sorts of stories about the show and the shoot, but the best one so far is Nawazuddin teasing the fans of 'Sacred Games' claiming the second season of the hit Netflix series will be the 'baap' of season one! “This season will be the baap of the first one. Even if people know Ganesh Gaitonde, they won't know what to expect from him. We shot extensively across Mombasa, Cape Town and Johannesburg,” - Nawaz told a popular entertainment weekly. © Netflix In the series, Nawazuddin plays the character of Ganesh Gaitonde, a gangster who is trying to trace his origins, while Saif, in a parallel plot plays Sartaj Singh, a cop who is trying to save Mumbai from an impending attack. Gaitonde was killed in the first episode of season one and the story is a narration of his past in a flashback. Season two. However, there will be more depth in his character, as the story will unfold his life further, unfolding nuances of his relationship with 'Guruji', played by Pankaj Tipathi, who was shooting in Africa for season two as well. As the show moves ahead with its plot, Vikramaditya Motwane will step down as the co-director for season two and the reigns will be given to Neeraj Ghaywan who directed 'Masaan', with Anurag Kashyap. Nawaz and Anurag have created some good history together and they'll be seen joining forces once again in 'Sacred Games'. “When Anurag is working with me, he is constantly pushing me to break my own boundaries. It comes from familiarity and my ability to go on a roller coaster with him. As an actor, I am someone who enjoys twirling myself up.” Nawaz told a popular entertainment weekly. © Netflix Nawaz didn't realise earlier how phenomenally hit the show was as he wasn't tracking its success on Netflix, where it was originally aired, neither did he know about how many people were watching it, not just in India, but in the western world too. In fact when he was shooting in Rome, he was caught off guard by a few people who recognised him and wanted to click pictures with him. “I realised the impact of the show when I was shooting in Rome, a week after its release. People came up to me to click pictures. My team would show me the memes that were doing the rounds on the Internet.” © Netflix We really hope season two is way more tight and interesting and really does turn out to be the 'baap' of season 1!
  21. Sony has established a name for itself and has already tried its luck with every type of speaker. Whether they're big, small, gesture-activated, or flashy, Sony's covered everything. Now that you've covered almost every type of possible challenge, what's next? For Sony, it's party and chill, literally. The company has launched a new speaker at CES 2019 and it's perfect for outdoor parties. The GTK-PG10 is high on power and comes with a dedicated outdoor party mode. But, the most interesting aspect of the speaker is its design. © Sony / GTK-PG10 The speaker has foldable top panels that house the tweeters along with four cupholders to fit Solo cups in while you get your dance on. It features a built-in battery and is rated to offer up to 13 hours on a single charge. The built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) can adapt to the outward-facing design and adjust the output accordingly. It also features an FM tuner and support for Sony's Fiestable Android app. Among other things, the party speaker also has a microphone input for karaoke and a charger for recharging mobile devices. The GTK-PG10 is priced at US$ 249 (Rs 17,500). © Sony / GTK-PG10 On the flashy side, Sony launched the XB32 that is supposed to be a midrange speaker. It has an IP67 rating, washable fabric, and dust/shock resistance. However, this model has longer battery life of up to 24 hours per charge, as well as support for charging USB devices. The XB32 is also Fiestable compatible with colours and motion control. It also has an inbuilt strobe light just for the fun of it. The speaker is priced at US$ 150 (Rs 10,500). © Sony / XB32 Sony also launched a small fist-sized speaker XB12, currently the most inexpensive of company's new speaker lineup, priced at US$ 60 (Rs 4,200). It has a cylindrical design and IP67 water- and dust-resistant rating. Sony says the speaker is also "completely party-proof". In addition to the portable party speaker, Sony has announced refreshed versions of its Extra Boom Bluetooth speaker lineup, including the XB72 and XB22. Sony has not confirmed exact availability but has stated all three XB models will hit store shelves sometime in the Spring.
  22. 2018 has been one of the busiest and most happening years for smartphones. We've witnessed the highest amount of launches and with brands getting more and more aggressive in terms of pricing and features, 2019 is going to be equally fun. We've seen a lot of new trends this year, including the fancy notches, dual displays, three to four camera's on the rear as well as sliding modules. One trend that'll be rising in 2019 is 5G, and with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 coming out soon, OEMs are going to be crazy after it. We're expecting to see the new Snapdragon 855 chipset in a variety of top-end phones throughout 2019 and beyond. Even Huawei and Samsung are working on creating an equivalent processor, if not better, and this competition is going to be very interesting. Here's our list of the awaited smartphone launches of 2019: 1. Samsung Foldable Phone: © YouTube In November, Samsung showed off a concept phone that has a foldable screen. It can essentially bend into a phone when needed, and expand into a bigger tablet. While a launch or announcement date is still unknown, Samsung has been confident it can release the technology for mass production in the coming months. We know the device is sporting a 4.85-inch display with an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a resolution of 840x1,960 pixels. When folded into a tablet, the screen will measure 7.3-inch and house an aspect ratio of 4.2:3 along with a resolution 1,536x2,152 pixels. Samsung has been working on foldable technology for years now, and even though they've had the basics right since quite some time, the brand has been trying to perfect it. 2. Pixel 3 Lite: © Rozetked Even before the launch of the Pixel 3, there have been rumours and reports stating that Google is working on a midrange Pixel device. Packing in the same camera as the flagship devices, a cheaper alternative could really set the cat among the pigeons. While earlier reports suggested the phone will run on the recently announced Snapdragon 710 SoC, fresh rumours point towards the Snapdragon 670 platform. Google hasn't officially confirmed the prospects of a third Pixel 3 phone even though recent leaks have been very convincing. 3. Samsung Galaxy S10: © Reuters According to solid leaks, we already know the S10 will be available in three variants: a regular Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10 Plus. Samsung is expected to launch the flagship around MWC Barcelona, and current speculation points towards February 20. The S10 Lite is said to have a 5.8-inch display, the S10 or the "regular" phone will have a 6.1-inch display and lastly, the S10 Plus will have a huge 6.4-inch panel. With the S10, Samsung will be celebrating ten years of the series and bundle along with an S10 Plus with 1TB of internal storage as well. There have also been rumours around Samsung implementing a punch-hole display on the front for a better screen-to-body ratio. If true, it'll be the only mainstream brand to completely skip the notch trend. 4. OnePlus 7: © Pocket Lint Every OnePlus phone, so far, has featured a Qualcomm chipset, so we already expect the phone to feature the chipset and now, the company has already confirmed that'll be the case. A report claims the company will save 5G for an upcoming device set to be released later in 2019, so you may have to wait a while to get the biggest benefit from the Snapdragon 855. Besides, the OnePlus 7 is also rumoured to sport a faster in-display fingerprint scanner along with drastically improved camera optics. 5. Nokia 9: © Slash Leaks There's been a lot of talk about a device called Nokia 9 - at one time, the Nokia 8 Sirocco was talked about as the Nokia 9 in rumours. Remember the leaks about a phone with five cameras on the back? That's expected to be the Nokia 9. We've already seen phones like the Huawei P20 Pro that has a rear triple camera setup, even the OnePlus 6T is reported to have a similar arrangement. With the Nokia 9, HMD Global is taking the game to a whole new level. 6. Huawei P30 Pro: © BGR The P20 Pro has been critically lauded for its optics, and it's obvious to expect the P30 Pro to carry on the legacy. Recent reports suggest the phone will have a 10x zoom and a 3D sensor on its rear that is similar to a time-of-flight system. Optical zooming is considered to be much better than digital thanks to greater retained details overall. A leaked image suggests the wider notch is going and will be replaced by a U-shaped smaller water-drop notch. The Huawei P30, on the other hand, will make do with a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. 7. LG G8: © Android Pit Exactly when will LG announce its next flagship phone is a little up in the air, but we may see it at the Mobile World Congress and it's likely to feature the Snapdragon 855. That's because every recent flagship phone from LG has featured the top-end Qualcomm chipset at the time, so we'd expect the same from the LG G8. LG has been lagging behind Samsung in the last few years and has been desperately trying to make a comeback. As for the company's long-awaited first foldable device, it looks like the wait will continue until the third quarter of next year.
  23. The lovably eccentric character of Genie from 'Aladdin' has been one of the most beloved characters for years, and it was probably because of Robin Williams. The late actor will always be known as the voice of Genie and it's obviously hard to follow in his footsteps, but Will Smith has taken on the challenge in the upcoming live-action version of 'Aladdin'. However, Disney's adaptation of the beloved animated movie seems to have gotten off to a rough start, with people not exactly being excited about the most important character - Genie. I mean, he's not even blue! That's not how it works, that's not how any of this works! A whole new world. Jada is gonna have to do a whole episode of “Read Table Talk” about this hair piece. pic.twitter.com/wMm5fysIg0 — Saeed Jones (@theferocity) December 19, 2018 It's a crossover! Aladdin should not be dressed like Marty McFly pic.twitter.com/c8jvjCQfGc — Kyle Buchanan (@kylebuchanan) December 19, 2018 It's already giving me anxiety. Will Smith's genie hair in the live-action #Aladdin is going to be a major source of anxiety for me in 2019. pic.twitter.com/FwG44LHiUj — Jason Carlos (@jaarlos) December 19, 2018 Really? 24. There's one thing that I feel like everyone in this world would agree on without any fight is that no one can bear it when a dog dies in any movie. It's okay for people to die - people suck - but dogs are the purest beings on the earth and need to be protected at all costs. © Twitter The first look of 'John Wick: Chapter 3' is here and there are some new characters that have already got people worried. Joining Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry are not one, but two dogs and the picture shows the four of them walking in a desert. Welcome to the next chapter. #JohnWick3 pic.twitter.com/qtvXepVEvw — John Wick: Chapter 3 (@JohnWickMovie) December 19, 2018 Talking about the upcoming movie to Entertainment Weekly (https://ew.com/movies/2018/12/19/john-wick-3-keanu-reeves-first-look-photos/?utm_content=link&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=entertainmentweekly_ew&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_term=8E022744-03C0-11E9-A159-8AD1FCA12A29 ), Keanu Reeves said, “The third chapter is literally connected to 2 and starts with John Wick on the run. It goes crazy from there.” Halle Berry will play Sofia, a new character that John meets in the Middle East. He said, “She has a past with John. I end up going to find her to see if she can help me.” The dogs in the picture are two Belgian Malinois dogs, who belong to the character of Sofia. According to Chad Stahelski the director, while John's puppy symbolised his wife, Sofia's dogs are symbolic of someone she's lost. He added that there will be a proper action sequence around her “canine assistants…. They work very well tactically.” Obviously, the entire thing is very exciting because who doesn't love dogs or John Wick, but that is also causing a lot of concern among fans. No one in their right mind would want to see a dog die on screen and people are already worried about the new canine additions. Looks like he has a new dog. Calling the ending now. He dies and the dog lives. — D-Rock (@KeepPoundN352) December 20, 2018 Have they figured it out? Left: before dogs die Right: after dogs die Is this the entire story orrrrr — 'Jim-ble Bells' Caddick (@Caddicarus) December 20, 2018 There are some jokes as well. I heard the dogs die of heat exhaustion at the start of the film and the rest of the film is John Wick shooting sand — Jak, without the 'c' (@skarrambo) December 19, 2018 It's simple math. John Wick: -1 dog John Wick 2: 1 dog John Wick 3: 2 dogs I've figured out their formula. https://t.co/jW5Ly4XxgL — Kyle J (@CameraColossus) December 20, 2018 Can't wait! 25. It's not IPL season yet, but everyone is already quite invested in the next year's IPL. Why? Because it's auction time for the Indian Premier League and we all know how much Indians love cricket and are always excited for all the matches. In theory, the auction period of IPL doesn't sound that exciting but it's still the most crucial part as it basically decides the fate of the upcoming game as any player can act as a gamechanger at any point. Moreover, since people always want to support their state's team, it's obviously important to see who's actually in the team and how much are they worth.
