  1. Coronavirus is the biggest reality of our existence right now. As nature conspires to push human civilization to a corner, cooped-up within four-walls surrounded by its own greed and exploitative ways, nature and animal kingdom can breathe easy for the first time in decades. However, while most of us are getting by pretty comfortably without having to worry about the next meal or keeping the roof over our heads intact, thousands of Indians who donât share a similar good fortune have been left to fend for themselves. © BCCL That includes everyone right from the kaamwali to the doodhwala, security guards to the newspaper-wala amongst others. These people have seen nothing more than apathy and insensitivity in the last two months, and spent every day under uncertainty, fearing if they will ever make it to a better tomorrow. While governments say that a lot is being done for the weaker section of the society and arrangements have been put in place to alleviate their suffering, the ground reality seems to be very different. © BCCL So, one man has taken it upon himself to use his platform and reach out to help with the grievances of the underprivileged, and support them the best way he knows. Bhuvan Bam recently came up with his latest episode of Titu Talks, which is meant to support a noble cause. The episode features the âLifelines of Societyâ and paints the real picture of the plight of the poor. But thatâs not all, Bhuvan has also announced that he is using this Titu Talks video as a fundraiser, wherein he will be using the proceeds from this video to provide financial aid to organisations that are doing legit on-ground work to help the poor. In the video which has more than 11M views already, Bhuvan reaches out to a young couple who work as migrant workers in Delhi and are currently distressed over where the next meal for their kids will come from, or if they will even come out of this crisis alive. Then, he gets in touch with two farmers who admit that the hopelessness of the situation has been made worse by authorities who donât give a sh*t about the farmersâ immediate needs and concerns amid the lockdown. © YouTube This is followed by milkmen and transgenders, who voice their disillusionment with humanity and the system, as people continue to turn their backs on them during these times of crisis, never once bothering to check on them. So, when asked what motivated him to take matters into his own hand and step out, Bhuvan told MensXP, âMy main motive with this episode was to tell people that each one of us has some power in our hands. And with that power, we can go ahead and help those immediate people who work for us daily. Be it the doodhwala, sabziwala, akhbarwala, house-help or security guard, we can check on them and ask if they are doing okay.â © YouTube Bhuvan believes that if each one of us takes it upon ourselves to reach out to even a few people around us, we can make a huge difference to the lives of several people. While there are a number of ways to do good, Bhuvan believes that the least we can do is âshow empathy and we need to be compassionate.â Bhuvan also talks about âkeeping them in our prayersâ apart from âgiving those who work for you a call at least once a week and understand what they are going through. If you can help them financially, you should do it. You can use a portion of your lunch or dinner to feed someone who might need it more. Thereâs a lot more you can do, but most importantly, you need to be aware of your privilege and understand that you are in a position to help others.â © YouTube Moreover, making a video to highlight the plight of the poor isnât the only thing Bhuvan is doing because he also plans to donate the proceeds from the video to help the impoverished who need our help right now. Talking about the same he added, âWe are currently looking around for organisations instead of reaching out to the most famous ones. We are looking for NGOs who are genuinely doing some noble work and will have a clearer idea in a day or two.â Thatâs some good work Bhuvan, and we hope the video garners huge viewership and helps you raise good money to help our fellow countrymen. 2. Often labelled as one of the most-feared opening batsmen, David Warner's ability to beat the leather off the cricket ball at will has allowed him to become a vital cog in the Australian batting line-up. Whether it's about pulling a fiery fast bowler over the cow corner for a six or hitting a spinner inside out for a boundary, Warner is as efficient as they come in international cricket. Despite a huge fanbase and an illustrious career, the left-handed batsman found himself at the lowest of the ebbs after he was found guilty and was subsequently suspended in the infamous 2018 ball-tampering scandal. Touted as the mastermind behind Australia's ball-tampering antics, while Warner did lose his reputation and, in turn, the love of fans, the Aussie cricketer has successfully managed to turn the tide against him in recent months. An emotional @davidwarner31 accepts his third Allan Border Medal. Great comeback, Bull! #AusCricketAward pic.twitter.com/VKUWaJ8m2V â cricket.com.au (@cricketcomau) February 10, 2020 On the back of an influential 2019 which was filled with key performances, Warner didn't just win the fans back but also bagged his third Allan Border medal earlier this February. Reclaiming the lost glory, there has been no turning back for Warner whose popularity has reached a whole new level, despite the suspension of sporting events due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Whether it's about dancing on Katrina Kaif's popular track 'Sheila Ki Jawani' or paying tribute to Telugu actor Allu Arjun with crazy dance moves, Warner, his wife Candice and their daughters have become the so-called 'Family No. 1' for Indian fans. 3. North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has been missing in action for days now and the rumour mill is beginning to churn at full tilt. As a matter of fact, this year, the 36-year-old leader even failed to show for the Day of the Sun - the April 15 holiday celebrating Kim Jong Unâs late grandfather, Kim Il Sung. This has long been the most important date on North Koreaâs political calendar. This gave rise to several questions about his whereabouts and two weeks later, several rumours, theories and speculations started doing the rounds on the internet. His absence has become one of the biggest mysteries in the world today. © Getty Images Is the North Korean dictator really dead? Has he gone MIA due to this coronavirus outbreak? Is there more to this than meets the eye? Is Kim Jong Un just seeking attention? Will his sister Kim Yo-Jong take over after him? © AP As Kim Jong-un's whereabouts remain unknown, world leaders say their thoughts are with the members of his family who haven't been fed to dogs or blown up with anti-tank missiles. â Have I Got News For You (@haveigotnews) April 28, 2020 Letâs look at some of the crazy theories and possibilities that have been doing the rounds on the internet around Kim Jong Unâs mysterious death: 1. Heâs recovering from heart surgeryThe Daily NK, a Seoul-based news outlet, reported on April 21st that Kim underwent a âcardiovascular surgical procedureâ and was now mostly recovered. The report, attributed to a single unidentified person, offered several specific details, including that Kim was treated at the Hyangsan Medical Center on the outskirts of Pyongyang. While the government hasnât verified the report, South Korean officials later said that Kim was believed to be conducting ânormal activitiesâ in a rural part of the country assisted by close aides, actions that could be consistent with the recovery explanation. 2. Heâs alive and wellOn Sunday, Moon Chung-in, a special adviser to South Koreaâs president, told Fox News that, âKim Jong Un is alive and well.â Moon, however, added that Kim had been staying in the coastal resort area of Wonsan since April 13, something that would clash with the Daily NK report. These contradictory news reports are only adding to more chaos. © Alamy 3. Heâs in a critical conditionCNN, in its report, stated that the U.S. was monitoring intelligence that suggested the North Korean dictator was in âgrave dangerâ after surgery. However, Bloomberg News separately reported that U.S. officials were told that Kim was in critical condition, but were unsure of his current status. While U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he believed the CNN report was âincorrectâ and based on âold documents.â On Saturday, Reuters reported that the Chinese Communist Partyâs International Department dispatched a team including medical experts to North Korea on Thursday to advise on Kim. The media outlet, which cited three people familiar with the situation, said it was unclear what the delegation signalled about Kimâs health. These reports only paved the way for more speculations and theories on social media. © Getty Images 4. He could be hiding to maintain social distancingCould he be just hiding in some secluded place to keep himself safe from the coronavirus pandemic? Speculation includes the theory that the controversial leader is isolating for fears of the coronavirus outbreak. North Korea has said it has no confirmed cases of the coronavirus, but given the fact the country has taken stringent steps to fight out the pandemic, the 36-year-old dictatorâs absence from the ceremonies is not particularly unusual, Unification Minister Kim Yeon-chul, who oversees North Korea engagement, told lawmakers on Tuesday. "It is true that he had never missed the anniversary for Kim Il Sun's birthday since he took power, but many anniversary events including celebrations and a banquet had been cancelled because of coronavirus concerns," he said. 5. Heâs in a vegetative stateThe weekly Shukan Gendai, a Japanese magazine, reported last week that a Chinese medic sent to North Korea as part of a team to treat Kim believed a delay in a simple procedure left the leader severely ill, Reuters reported. Operation went wrong from Chinese medic?? âKim clutched his chest and fell to the ground ..doctor accompanying Kim performed CPR and took him to a nearby hospital ..insert a stent went wrong because the surgeonâs hands were shaking so badly.â https://t.co/d95bDYhYly â Raptor ð¨ð¦ (@KevinChuChen1) April 25, 2020 The Chinese expert told the magazine that Kim clutched his chest and fell to the ground on a visit to the countryside earlier this month. A doctor accompanying Kim performed CPR and took him to a nearby hospital. While the Kim family has ruled for around 70 years by passing power between male heirs like other hereditary dynasties, the 36-year-old Kim has named no successor. The third-generation hereditary leader came to power after his father's death in 2011. His children are still young and the ruling family's surviving adults all face potential barriers to their rise. Therefore, it is unclear who would lead North Korea in the event of his incapacitation. View the full article

The quarantine period is not an easy task to pull off as we all are social beings, yet people are finding unique ways to keep themselves entertained during this lockdown due to the COVID-19 global health crisis. Take for instance these two men, who came up with an out-of-the-box plan that took everyone by surprise. They managed to catch a fish in the sea from the comfort of their home. How, you ask? Well, they used a drone for this. Also, pretty sure this is how one is 'not' supposed to use a drone. However, according to Salvatore's Instagram post, the pair ended up releasing the fish back into the water because it was 'undersized'. They captioned the video saying, "When you're being responsible and staying at home but the fish are calling." The video became an immediate hit on social media and garnered mixed reactions. Some people were really impressed with their antics. One of the users wrote, âOMG! Didn't know this was possible," to which Salvatore replied, "Haha neither did I." 9. Most of the countries across the world are on a total lockdown due to the Coronavirus outbreak and workaholics are the most impacted by this lockdown. While many people continue working from home, anyone running a business is under the stress of not being able to earn a single dime and above all, being caged at home. These are the ones who are easily bored and are addicted to working long hours and are losing their minds sitting at home. © Reuters Recently, a businessman from Moscow decided to take up a low-paying, but physically active job of delivering meals amid the Coronavirus outbreak as he was bored sitting at home. Sergey Nochovnyy, 38, said that he joined a delivery company as he wanted to look at things from a different perspective and get outdoors during the lockdown as there is a restriction of movement. © Reuters So, he ended up taking a job thatâll allow him to move around for his work. The authorities of Moscow have asked the people of non-vital industries to stay at home to fight the Coronavirus. And just like India, people can only go outside to buy groceries and medicines. Also, the lockdown spurred the demand for delivery jobs and thatâs when Sergey decided to take up one. The 38- year-old businessman said that he walks around 20 Kms a day to deliver food. The businessman who returned to Russia last year after spending 12 years in china, now makes around $13-20 a day as a deliveryman. © Twitter_AP He was earlier making approximately $2 million a year with his consulting business. However, he took the job as the job offers physical activity as thatâs what he was missing amid the lockdown. He is actually an inspiration for all millennials out there. 11. When the most effective way to prevent a pandemic from taking over is to maintain a safe distance from one another, places like prisons become a big reason to worry. But when that prison is Tihar - the biggest prison complex in South Asia, the risk of the contagion affecting people increases multifold. Based on a suggestion made by the Supreme Court in March, Tihar has released over 2,900 prisoners who are suffering from cancer, asthma and TB amongst other diseases, on bail or parole in order to make the complex less congested. These prisoners are sent home for a period of 3-60 days during which they are to remain in quarantine. Tihar jail to release 3000 inmates to avoid overcrowding as Coronavirus cases cross 400 https://t.co/hV2uztU19G â Republic (@republic) March 23, 2020 We got in touch with Deepak Sharma, assistant jailor, Tihar, who explained the process in detail. âWe have been selecting prisoners to release only if they have committed soft crimes and have shown good behaviour in the past three months,â Sharma said. âIf there is a criminal who is imprisoned for a more serious crime and is suffering from a severe disease, the final say rests with the judiciaryâ. © Jailor Deepak Sharma When asked about the precautionary measures that are being taken to ensure that the virus doesnât get inside the jail, he said: âTihar jail has always been very systematic when it comes to dealing with ad hoc situations. So, we know what to do and how to deal with the coronavirus crisis. âWhile older prisoners are tested constantly, we pay special attention to the new inmates we get daily. Every new prisoner, when brought to Tihar, is kept in isolation for a total of 15 days. After that, one final test is done and if the results are negative, only then does he join the other inmates.â SG Tushar Mehta present in Court says that in prions like Tihar Jail, attempts are being taken to prevent overcrowding and if any person is found to have any symptoms, they'll be isolated to test for COVID-19. â Bar & Bench (@barandbench) March 16, 2020 About bringing essentials such as grains and milk Sharma said: âEvery morning a van from Mother Dairy comes and drops the goods in front of the jailâs main gate. We then send someone from inside to collect the items and put them in store. We also take their test from time to time.â âWe have doctors available inside the jail premise at all times and we conduct all the COVID-19 tests in-house. We make sure to sanitize the entire place thoroughly. We have also placed machines at the main gate that sanitize the staff members while coming in and going out.â © Reuters Currently, the focus is on decongesting the jail. According to a report by The Indian Express, the jail population has come down from 17,552 as on March 25 to 16,179 as on April 7 and is expected to go as low as 14,500 in a weekâs time on the basis of bails and paroles to severely ill prisoners. 19. This lockdown is proving especially hard for people who enjoy the occasional drink or two given that bars and restaurants have shut down, no thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic. The kicker comes from the fact that liquor shops in most states are shut. Naturally, there are some people who are really desperate to get their hands on a bottle or a pint. © iStock Well, it turns out, two guys saw the perfect business opportunity in this and started smuggling alcohol in an ambulance in Delhi. Of course, during a routine check by the Delhi Traffic Police, they were busted. © iStock; Image of the ambulance for representational purpose only. Not the actual ambulance that was seized Apparently, the two guys, both of whom are residents of Vasant Vihar, were employed by the owner of the ambulance, who paid them Rs 2000 each, every day, to buy illicit liquor from Bahadurgarh, and transport them to bootleggers and liquor stores in South Delhi. © iStock The police seized about 25 cartons of illicit and unbranded liquor, as well as the ambulance that was being used. This lockdown is proving really hard for people who have habits that can be described as undesirable. Recently, a man in Gujarat used drones to deliver paan masala . © iStock Well, twitter had some mixed reactions to this.
